Important question: if a mission went wrong and Bea gets hit in the head pretty badly, got amnesia from it and not remembering Ava and the OCS
Would Ava want her to live her life as a normal person, or would she try to bring her back
On one hand, Ava letting Beatrice go would be angsty for Ava. On the other hand Ava trying to help Beatrice regain her memories would be angsty for Beatrice
Actually the better option would be Beatrice wanting to regain her memories because Ava looks at her with so much sadness and longing and for some reason her heart aches at the sight and all she wants is to see Ava smile while Ava not wanting Beatrice to regain her memories because she wants to protect her and keeping her away from the OCS would mean that Beatrice doesn't need to risk herself to protect her and as long as Ava has the halo, Beatrice would never be safe.

Some mdzs spoilers
No good deed goes unpunished seems to be one of the major themes in all the MXTX stories. Really a master at making you question the meaning of morality because everyone's sure they've figured it out but I ain't got no clue what being good even means at this point anymore.
Back when Mo Dao Zu Shi only had a season one, I would ponder over and over on the Jiang clan incident and my final conclusion is that Wei Wuxian sincerely did nothing wrong. Why did he get punished for saving a life? Why was it a bad thing to protect someone? Why did it become something that he might think back on with hesitation? Everyone seemed to pay for doing something kind. Wei Wuxian's biggest fatal flaw turned out to be that he can't watch people suffer. He will always step up and defend them. In anime, this is usually a good thing. This is where the power of friendship starts. Instead of having an army ready to rally behind him no matter what the foe, he instead amassed a society of enemies who would do anything to tear him down. They hated him, they feared him, they had no reason to. He would never go out of his way to hurt anyone. Yet they kept hurting his family, making him doubt his good deeds. Why was helping people wrong? It didn't make sense, and is a huge part of his tragedy.
It wasn't even unique to him!
Xiao Xingchen saved a life - a good deed! Guess what? He died for doing that. He saved the wrong life. But it's not like the wrong life has "wrong life" plastered on his forehead!
Lan Xichen trusted his best friend. I don't care what anyone says. People are always complaining that people in movies believe any shit about their supposedly closest friend way too fast. Lan Xichen stood by his friend, that wasn't something wrong. It wasn't like said best friend was killing people in front of him. Jin Guangyao did everything in his power to keep Lan Xichen in the dark. He was not a bad person for trusting and loving his best friend, and it is NOT his fault that his best friend turned out to be trash. He did not make Jin Guangyao into who he is. He got used, and he's the one living with regret simply because he's the one who lived and because he's nice like that. The only thing stopping him from Xiao Xingchen-ing his life is the duty and responsibility he has to his brother (Not his clan. Fuck his clan. They didn't do shit for his life).
And it just kept happening. Jiang Cheng saved Wei Wuxian and paid for it. Wei Wuxian saved Jiang Cheng and paid for it. Jiang Yanli tried to save her family and paid for it, so did her husband. There were people paying for their crimes but there were way more people paying for their good deeds. It's like MXTX was trying to say "The world ain't nice like that. Just pray that you're lucky or you will pay with your life." Nie Mingjue showed mercy and died for it.
And it's not unique to mdzs. I haven't gotten far with the other stories (No spoilers I'm begging you. On my knees and EVERYTHING). But so far, it's not looking good.
Xie Lian stood up for what he believed in when he chose to defend his kingdom and wowee did he pay for it. His entire life was wrecked for it. He got punishment that I think was way too much because wtf? He was 17. They could have done him a favour and just not make him a diety if this is the life they hand to him.
In SVSSS Donghua, no one in particular is paying for their good deeds just yet. SQQ did get a sting jumping in to protect Binghe. Now he's got poisoned for someone with plot armour. (SVSSS will never fail to crack me up. I'm glad MXTX wrote that story. Even if I know the depression is incoming. It's nice to have something to laugh about after all the pain and agony. How did her angst skills get even more intense? Heaven's Official Blessing is the latest book? That story is land mined with pain!!!!)

Notre Dame AU Chapter 12: “As The City Slumbered”
AKA The scenes and song in Act 2 I’ve been looking forward to for so long now. (Besides the finale)
I really hope I nail this, even I’ve gotta make this shorter than even I’m wanting.
Also, because this is important: After this, there may be a brief hiatus until further notice. I know I’m so close to the finale and I have a pretty good idea of how it will go down, but I'm waiting on more Help Wanted 2 info to solidify my decision. This may mean that we’ll both have wait until December, but I could also just randomly go “yeet this” and write it anyway.
Either way, here’s the night before the big day.
-
Hours passed on the grounds of the Princess Challenge Castle. The stars aided the furious judge as he set up wooden beams around a nearby service elevator. The only noise he heard was the banging of his hammer against the nails. And yet, in his “sleep”-deprived mind, the entire mall was already set ablaze. Each nail clanging into place now sounded like the ever-inching elevator readying to plummet.
However, by some miracle, the rabbit’s fevered imagination was kept at bay with the fact that he had to build the thing. So, with a strange mix of self-annoyance and unnatural glee, he kept working instead of laughing like a madman.
The other souls inside the castle, however, weren’t thrilled. Cassie chattered with Gregory, her confusion slowly melting into sorrow as time went on. Gregory himself tried to keep his voice stable, but even he couldn’t shake the pain away. “I’m sorry,” he murmured faintly. “I thought leaving my walkie-talkie behind would help Agonia get out, but I guess I should’ve realized that Glitch would try to trick somebody else with it.”
Cassie opened her mouth to speak, but a soft sob emitted from the speakers. “It’s all my fault,” she could hear Gregory choke out. “I didn’t listen to him. I should’ve just—“
“You didn’t have to listen to that ‘judge’,” Cassie insisted, battling her own tears to keep her tone stern. “And you still don’t! He’s been nothing but trouble ever since he got here.”
”But.. Wh-What about you?” Gregory stammered, as if he completely missed that last sentence. “I don’t want to be responsible for anything else! I don’t want to lose you too!”
Cassie’s sneer dropped into a look of shock. Instead of asking the obvious, she glanced over at Vanessa sitting beside her. The woman’s pained wince and rapid nod told all. They had both been through the same horrors, whatever those were.
Cassie refocused her attention. “Don’t worry about me,” she said gently. “Whatever happens, I just want you to be safe. To be with your family again.”
Rather than the sounds of slowly-processed comfort, Gregory only sniffled and repeated “I’m sorry” in an even more broken manner. The static cut into silence.
“Gregory?” Cassie asked quietly.
Vanessa inched closer to the girl. “I think he’s finally figured out who ‘46’ was,” she explained somberly, placing a hand on Cassie’s shoulder. “Or, to be honest, he remembered who ‘46’ was.”
Cassie just stared back in bewilderment.
“Oh, yeah, you probably weren’t there for that,” Vanessa sighed darkly. “At least we’ve got a couple more hours to unpack everything before the ‘big bonfire’. Should give you a bit of closure.”
”But I’m not going to die!” Cassie insisted, flailing out an arm. “…Am I?”
Vanessa bit her lip. “Unless someone manages to break you out…” her voice trailed as her heart sank. She wouldn’t dare finish that sentence.
Both went quiet. Cassie clung to Vanessa’s arm. Vanessa was now the one trying to keep herself steady. Cassie, on the other hand, finally let out all the tears she held back. The hall echoed with sobs, even as the banging of construction battled against it.
Unbeknownst to the grieving pair, one other soul was also in mourning. Agonia had gone dead silent as soon as him and his master arrived back “home”. Aside from his eyes surveying all of said master’s work, he was now rendered motionless as well. Watching from the bell tower. Waiting for the unbearable dawn.
A dawn that he was beginning to think he deserved.
A morning of fire, a new day with innocent lives lost when he can only watch…
Yes. That sounded like a fitting punishment. Both for his current crimes against his master and the unspeakable crimes of the past.
And, besides, it wasn’t like he couldn’t escape anyway. He had a new task at hand. Something his master specifically ordered. An order he dare not disobey— Even if it meant being bound by wires and drained for power. Why should he care? He was in his ghost form again, after all.
A second ghost, however, was not this resigned. “Father, you must try to free yourself!” Michael called out, grabbing the elder by the shoulders.
“The girl needs your help!” Charlie chimed in, aiding Michael in pulling the sulking man back inside.
Agonia did not fight his fellow specters, but he did snarl at them. “Quiet,” he hissed faintly. “Go away.”
“You’re the only one who can save her now!” Henry reasoned, uncharacteristically showing his fury as he pointed at the descending staircase. “Everyone else has given up— Even Gregory.”
“You know what happens when I try to help,” Agonia snapped back, keeping his full attention on his former partner. “I only make things worse!”
“You don’t believe that!” Elizabeth and her younger brother exclaimed in horror, rushing to their father’s side. Charlie shared their expression, but kept close to her own dad instead. She could already sense a firestorm ready to strike.
Agonia chortled bitterly. “How do you know what I believe?” he sniggered as he distanced himself from the group. “What do you know of me? What do you know of all the things I feel…?”
His voice trailed as an old feeling resurfaced. His skeptical expression shifted into a furious sneer. His mouth ran faster than his brain, descending into a ramble that even the person telling this story couldn’t properly track and transcribe. All that could be descipher was the general theme: They had lied. He had lied to himself. Only the judge made the proper verdict.
Meanwhile, the ghosts tried to argue back. Henry and Michael appealed to his logic. Elizabeth and her other brother offered their support as best they could. Charlie attempted to do both of these, but Agonia’s sudden jump from broken animatronic pile to broken animatronic pile made it hard on her.
But, in the end, the only result was a shriek of absolute rage and pain from the specter himself.
Charlie was the first to retreat. “Okay, Agonia,” she said softly, rejoining her dad’s side. “We’ll leave you alone.”
Henry scooped his daughter before backing away slowly. He simply gave a nod of agreement.
Michael gathered his misty-eyed siblings. The usually-crying child looked back at the dad he once respected. “You’re right, ‘Agonia’,” he said in a flat, not-choked tone. “We’re just ghosts too. But…”
He paused to gauge his siblings’ faces. Michael and Elizabeth bobbed their heads in agreement.
“We just thought you were made of something stronger,” the boy finished, watching as the rest vanished. Soon, he too disappeared into the darkness.
Agonia winced, refocusing his attention to the scenery before him. All was quiet now that his “guardians” had departed. The only noise he clearly heard was the pulse of the ever-moving wires tied around his extremities. The only sight he truly had was the starless night sky through the fractured grid of glass.
And yet, for a moment, he could see something else. Almost like a vision from some other realm.
There was someone else still there. Ever-shifting in form and mood, but very present. Watching from a distance– Perhaps waiting for his mind to change, if he had to take a guess.
He shook his lowered head. Whoever it was, that person was sadly mistaken. He was not going back out there.
Bracing for impact, he let all of his lingering emotions drain into the wire-built.. thing he was powering. Some tears leaked through, but they quickly vanished. He fell onto his hands and knees. His contorted face turned cold and stoic. The process, whatever it was, had succeeded.

Hiii I just finished AO3 “Not Unloved Anymore” and was wondering if you’re planning to add in more later on-I really like your writing style :)
Hi! I'm so glad you like it!
I do plan on continuing it at some point, but right now, I'm moving all of my stuff to a new ao3 account since I want a fresh start.
I'm also planning on rewriting the chapters that I've posted, so I don't really want to add anything else to the story until I rewrite the first few chapters.
That way that everything can stay together.
Don't worry though, I have big plans for this story, it just might take some time to get there lol!

Fun fact about the au: when gregory had a nightmare or a bad day in the bowling alley, bonnie would sing his baby bun any lullaby he could find in his data banks... which came in handy when he was decommissioned retired.
This is my first time drawing withered glamrock bonnie, so be gentle🥲

Charlie: (folded up and hunched over with chin in hands) (brooding)
Vaggie: "Someone's got a lovely long face today."
Charlie: (sighs) "Sorry..."
Vaggie: "Don't be, sweetie." (sits and hunches over too, hands clasped) "What's got you down?"
Charlie: "You, kinda."
Vaggie: "Me?" (terrified) "What did-"
Charlie: "And all this." (waves at vaggie next to her) "Specifically."
Vaggie: (edges away) "Is it the 'sweetie' thing? 'Cause I'll stop-"
Charlie: "No. No, I like it." (sighs again) "Vaggie, in the wonderful, amazing, dream-like over a YEAR we've known each other now, have you ever, like..."
Vaggie: (edging closer again) "...have I ever...?"
Charlie: "Killed anyone?"
Vaggie: "Wh- No!"
Charlie: "Not even a little?"
Vaggie: "What would 'killed them a little' even look like..? I mean, sure I've thought about maiming people, and probably would've a few times if you hadn't been there, but-"
Charlie: "What about when I wasn't looking? No... sneaking out for some midnight murder sprees?"
Vaggie: "Charlie- I can't even get up to use the bathroom without you tearing up half the bed with your claws looking for me. We've had to get new sheets three times this month. And last time I took a midnight shower, I found you curled up on the floor just outside the door afterwards. I almost STEPPED on you!"
Charlie: (pouting) "You were gone when I woke up."
Vaggie: "I was gone maybe ten minutes."
Charlie: "And I was missing you."
Vaggie: "Yeah. I figured." (smiles) "So how the fuck am I supposed to be sneaking out to kill people, when I'm best friends with the biggest cuddle bug in all creation?"
Charlie: "I don't know!" (frustrated) "NONE of this makes any SENSE!"
Vaggie: ".... now I feel like I'm missing something."
Charlie: "You're not though! That's why-" (GROWLS) (yanks at hair)
Vaggie: "Okay, hey- Charlie?" (takes her hand) "Talk to me?"
Charlie: "....."
Charlie: "...why're you still here?"
Vaggie: "Do you... want me to move out?"
Charlie: "NO! Never! I, you- I don't even know how I'd-"
Vaggie: "So that's not the problem here. What is?"
Charlie: "The PROBLEM is- I want you here, but you shouldn't BE here! You're not a bad person! Whatever you did or used to do- you haven't been for a whole YEAR, and I'm just- just being stupid and selfish wanting you to stay, but you-"
Vaggie: "You're not-"
Charlie: "-aren’t doing anything bad! So WHY-"
Vaggie: "Charlie, hold on- no- you're not stupid or selfish. You've been alone, and that's not something you did anything to deserve, okay?"
Charlie: "...."
Vaggie: "You can be sad without apologizing for it too, you know."
Charlie: (slumping) "Why are you still in hell, Vaggie?"
Vaggie: (wryly) "Not like I've got wings to flutter off with."
Charlie: "You deserve them."
Vaggie: "..... thanks for saying so, sweetie."
Charlie: "It's true."
Vaggie: “Pretty sure it’s not, since I don’t have them.”
Charlie: “You should. You should have them.”
Vaggie: “I’d rather have this.”
Vaggie: (lifts their hands)
Vaggie: “Who needs wings, when you’ve got the best cuddle bug ever. Right?”
Charlie: (holds tight) “…heaven’s probably better. Full of people you wouldn’t want to even maim. That’s where you belong, not down here in hell…”
Vaggie: “…with you?”
Charlie: “Oh I’d be fine!”
Vaggie: (lifts brow)
Charlie: “Really!” (looks away) “It’d be good. Knowing you’re up there in heaven, and, happy.”
Vaggie: “I wouldn’t be happy.”
Charlie: “Sure you would.” (miserable) “It’s heaven.”
Vaggie: “Hell’s better. It’s where you are.”
Charlie: “Vaggie…”
Vaggie: “Charlie.”
Charlie: “Be serious? Please?”
Vaggie: “I am. But it's not gonna work if you don’t listen to it.”
Charlie: “Fine.”
Charlie: (deep breath) (looks vaggie in the eye)
Charlie: “Vaggie. Do you want me to try getting you into heaven?”
Vaggie: “No.”
Charlie: (voice crack) “Are you SURE?”
Vaggie: “I’m not going anywhere. I’d miss you too much.”
Charlie: “...okay.”
Charlie: (laughs wetly) “Okay. I’d. Same.”
Vaggie: “Yeah.”
Vaggie: (dabs away charlie’s tears)
Vaggie: “You’ve been feeling extra lonely haven' you, thinking about all that on your own.”
Charlie: “Maybe. A little.”
Vaggie: “…sorry I didn’t, you know. Make sure you knew sooner. ”
Charile: (laughs for real) “Don’t be. Not like I asked.”
Vaggie: (smiles) “Sorry for making you feel like you even had to ask.”
Charlie: “Um. Uh.” (clears throat) “You’re forgiven?”
Vaggie: (chuckles)
Charlie: “…and, you’ll tell me, if you change your mind? About the whole heaven thing?”
Vaggie: “I won’t change my mind, Charlie.”
Charlie: “But if you do, you’ll say so?”
Vaggie: “Mmm, kinda feels like you’re saying it like you think I will.”
Charlie: “No. I mean you can, I just… don’t wanna worry about it like this again.”
Vaggie: “Oh. Then I promise-”
Charlie: “Thank you.”
Vaggie: “-if you promise me you’ll let me know what’s going on in that brilliant head of yours.”
Charlie: “Pfft- More silly than brilliant. Didn’t wanna bother you.”
Vaggie: “Bother me? Now you're really sounding silly. You’re not the only one who’s been lonely.”
Charlie: “Huh? You? Why were you- Ohhh…”
Vaggie: “You’ve been a million miles away lately. Welcome back.”
Charlie: “Aww Vaggie! Were you missing me, even when I was right in front of you???”
Vaggie: “Don’t even.”
Charlie: “That’s so cuuuute~”
Vaggie: “Don't. You've been worse. You were impersonating a rug- You clung on so hard after I picked you up I couldn’t even get the blankets over us again.”
Charlie: “Lucky I make a good blanket!”
Vaggie: “The best. But you still gotta stop sleeping in front of the bathroom door.”
Charlie: “I can, try?”
Vaggie: “Is it really that hard to stay in a warm soft bed?”
Charlie: “It is when you’re not there!”
Vaggie: “Sweetie, please. I’ll be coming right back.”
Charlie: “…then I can wait.”
Vaggie: “Good.”
Charlie: "...."
Charlie: “Probably. I think I can probably wait.”
Vaggie: “Ugghh...”
Vaggie: (playfully bumps shoulders) (leans in as charlie hugs her instead)
