Raggedy Ann Secret Santa 2023!

The Raggedy Ann Revival Effort is hosting a Raggedy Ann fandom Secret Santa this year! This is a fun, chill opportunity to connect with other fans and trade pieces of art, fanfic, or whatever you like to make! This event is a fully digital art trade, there's no sending of physical objects required.

How does it work?

1. Fill out the form below by November 28th. You’ll be able to choose between fanart, fanfic, and making gifsets/edits. After that, we'll take a couple days to sort everyone out and let everyone know who their target is on December 1st.

2. Next, you'll have all month to make your present! You'll get some ideas of the characters and media your target is interested in, but don't worry too much about what they may or may not want. It's more about the spirit! Spend however much effort is comfortable to you, it's not a competition.

3. Post your finished work by December 25th and tag your target. We'll be rebloging people's work from our social medias too so use the hashtag so we can see it!

Number 1 in Japan!

Some time ago, possibly last year, but who can tell in these trying times, @brain-rot-hour and I said that we would do an art exchange, with a whenever we got around to it time limit.

@brain-rot-hour let me present your son. He obviously deserves a treat - Number 1 Ramen in Japan. How could you not buy him at least a dozen. He will carry them all home for you, but will require extra ramen in payment. In advance.

I very rarely use the round brush, but made myself use it on this art and was pleasantly surprised. Maybe I'll eventually get to the point where I can do art with it that doesn't take eleventy billion years.

Hi all, welcome to my lil' Valentines exchange! This is a short-and-sweet art trade ala Secret Santa for the Valentines season. We are currently open for submissions and will be for (roughly) the next 72 hours; you can find more info about prompts and the minimal guidelines in the form itself.

Each user will be assigned a giftee with their prompts and given two weeks to make a short-and-sweet piece for said prompt. In with the seasons theming, these scenarios are all about ships and the power of the romantic advance! Best way to boost constantly-drained morale is through the power of pure, disgustingly-sweet, unadulterated love (or so I've heard)!

2024 Whump Art Exchange

A tldr info sheet for the main important points can be found here. This is the full sheet.

This is a whump art exchange that is OC focused but ocs are not required. If you are an artist you can sign up by filling out a google form found below and you will be assigned a partner at random to draw a gift for based on their requests. It works the same as a secret santa event, so keeping the person you get a secret is strongly encouraged. You will most likely not have the same person you are drawing for be the one doing art for you, everyone is assigned a different person. At the end of the event, you will post your gift art to your blog with all of the tags required (that are stated below) and it will be reblogged on the event blog.

Sign up sheet can be found here and the form closes on March 30th 2024. You will receive your partner’s information in the first week of April 2024, either in your email, tumblr dm’s, or ask box depending on your preference stated in the sign up sheet. You’ll have a month to complete the art, and you will post the art on May 1st 2024 with all of the required tags included. If you haven't posted after a day or two I may check in with you to ask about your progress. 

When you post your piece tag it under #whump_art_exchange_2024, and tag @whump-art-exchange, as well as tagging the person you made the art for. I will reblog all of the finished pieces so that people can see everyone's creations.

This is a minor friendly exchange, do not submit sexual content for this event, even if you are an 18+ blog. If your blog is not minor friendly please check that off in the form and I will assign you appropriately. 

Sign ups are open to all skill levels, and partners are assigned at random with the exception of triggers, 18+ blogs, ect. All works must be fully completed with a clear image of the art, and effort must be put into it. 

If you are assigned a person who doesn't work for you, dm me within the first day and I will try to sort it out for you. Please only do this if it's a high risk situation such as triggering content, or a safety issue. If you are unsure, shoot me a dm and I will try my best to accommodate. 

If you are unable to complete your gift, or need to drop out of the event please let me know as soon as possible so that I can assign a new artist for your partner. If you need a time extension please let me know so that I know you are still participating!

Harassment, or hostility of any kind will not be tolerated and anyone doing so may be blocked or asked to leave the event.

So, @wispmotherr and I discussed doing a fun little gift exchange for Februrary/Valentine's Day and thus the Valentine's Exchange was born! (Really all thanks to @wispmotherr for creating the server and writing the rules. This would not be happening without her!)

I'll give you a little breakdown of the explanation/rules:

This event is 18+

The exchange is open to fics, art, edits, other fan created content

Sign-ups are now until January 7th. (Late sign-ups are fine but be mindful of the due date of February 18th)

The exchange will happen February 18th.

The exchange hub will be on Discord on a server created for the event.

As this is an event where you are making something for someone else secretly, we ask that if you do not think you can create something in the timeframe to please not sign-up as we do not want to have people not receive a gift.

Mainly, this is a way to have fun and spread some love to others in our Smoshblr community! I hope to see participants!

This gorgeous piece is based on Le Sommeil by Gustave Courbet. I’ve countless art pieces and old tv show promos I want to reference for fandom art and I decided it was high time I started getting those.

I debated TCH or CoP for this one. CoP because the other name for this piece is Les Deux Amies and it tickles me to no end how fitting that would be for Trystan x MC. However, I had to go with TCH because of the symbolism of the overall original piece seemed so fitting and I thought it would fit well in a moodier setting.

And honestly I think it was the right decision because look at them!!!!!
