"Who's that?" asks Atsumu, eyes narrowing as Shoyou runs eagerly over to the guy walking up to the gym entrance. There's something about that guy that immediately rubs Atsumu the wrong way.

"You don't know Kenma?" asks Bokuto in surprise.

When Atsumu only gives him a blank look, he adds, "The world-famous Kodzuken?" He's looking at Atsumu like the words should make sense to him, ring some bells. Like everyone and their mother knows who this guy is.

Everyone except Atsumu, apparently, because he has no clue.

He feels a spark of annoyance. And perhaps it's the fact that Atsumu doesn't like the idea of Bokuto Koutarou being more in the know than he is. Or perhaps it's Bokuto's actual words. Because... world-famous? That pretentious little prick? The one wearing sunglasses on a cloudy day?!

Whatever it is, he feels the annoyance grow into outright anger as they step closer to the pair, Shoyou jabbering away, the world-famous Kodzuken smirking in the most insufferable manner imaginable (at Atsumu's spiker!).

And it is without conscious thought that Atsumu reaches out and gives Kenma's long, (obviously dyed) blonde pony tail a firm tug.

"shot in the dark" is something i just started, actually!! it's an atsuken bodyguard au, in which miya atsumu is assigned to guard kozume kenma, who has had attempts after his life despite not seeming like a usual target-to-be-killed. kenma is actually part of a group working to topple a corrupted candidate running for mayor - and he needs to stay alive long enough for their plan to work. falling in love definitely wasn't something they were expecting LMFAAO.

i don't have a lot written for it yet, so here's a very small excerpt:

Even with the dark bags under his eyes, Kenma’s gaze was sharp enough to make Atsumu’s skin prickle. “Don’t ask questions. Don’t poke around. Just stick to your job and keep me alive. Understood?”

“Loud and clear,” Atsumu said.

"rich people problems" is a shibalev crazy rich asians au, so it's very much a more lighthearted romcom-style. well - as romcom as it can get when alisa's life is being threatened. there are some people that aren't too happy she's marrying a member of the prestigious tsukishima family, and lev is determined to protect his sister while dealing with drama between guests, sabotage attempts, and everything else that comes with a wedding thrown by rich people. good thing he's got help in the shape of the cute photographer's student by the name of shibayama yuuki . . .

anyways, here's an excerpt:

Everyone had rushed over right away when Lev called.

Now they were all crammed in the living room around the coffee table, staring at the contents of the package he and Alisa had found on her doorstep just a half hour before. The flowers, dead and wilting, wrapped in lace. A note with cut-and-pasted letters from magazines, spritzed with citrus perfume. And a perfectly normal photograph of Alisa and Akiteru out in public that could have been taken by any fan or paparazzi - except for the large red ‘X’ slashed across Alisa’s face. 

“Well,” Alisa said finally, breaking the silence. “At least we know who they’re aiming for now.”

“And that they’re not very creative,” added Lev.

Daishou snorted.

favorite rarepair? (doesn't matter what fandom)

Oh my fucking god anon this is such a loaded question. You might as well have asked for my favorite ship because I pretty much exclusively do rarepairs. No straightforward answer for you you're going to get an essay.

Right now the brainrot is fully on nieyao. I cannot stress the amount of time i spend thinking about these two every day it's not healthy. Togachako only has 1.3K works in a fandom with almost 300K fics on ao3 so they are by all accounts a rarepair but it feels wrong to say that. They're not a rarepair TO ME they're canon. I think the rarepair I've had the most longstanding investment in would be, like, ushioi/ushiiwaoi. If you want my favorite ACTUALLY rare rarepair (1k+ works is still a healthy amount of content, real rarepairs fight for CRUMBS) it's either going to be jinkei or dabitwicehawks, or Vanja/Gisele from the 2021 novel Little Thieves (ZERO works on ao3 i'm gonna have to birth this ship myself) or one of the bajillion haikyuu rarepairs I made up for fun every day back in 2020. (atsuken? kurokenhina? kiyoyui? iwakita? kanoyachi?)

Do you see how hard this is for me? I can't do this. I'm going to choose togachako because i'm pretty sure i'm gonna remain in hell for those two even if I ever move on from bnha and it's also the one I'm most offended isn't a bigger ship. Every single other ship mentioned I'm good with staying a rarepair but I want togachako to graduate from rarepairdom like kpop groups graduate from nugupromoter, you get me? (<- unintelligible nonsense)

I can't believe the first ten chapters of my Oihina fic are already up, this story has been such a wonderful whirlwind!

Chapter ten is almost the halfway point in the story, and it's a nice bit of fluff after all that angst I dumped into the last chapters haaa.
