We need to talk about Muriel, so let's dive right in.

Despite the way many people depict them, they are the exact same age as every other angel, fallen or otherwise, and treating them as lesser because their mannerisms and expressions don't match up with what you think an 'adult' should look like doesn't mean they aren't one.

Not to speak of the ableism that's inherent to that kind of thinking, and actually, you know what? Before I keep talking, I want to ask you a question.

It is very common to talk about Muriel as a 'child of divorce', being 'adopted' by Crowley, someone 'precious' that needs protecting, and a lot of titles and concepts along those lines.

The question is: If, say, Uriel were in their place—sent down to earth after not being there for more than five minutes ever—would you still call him everything you call Muriel now? Would you treat him the same way you're treating them?

Would you see him the same way, and if not, why?

The question is, if any other angel were in Muriel's position, would you also infantilize them the way you currently do with Muriel?

Feel free to actually answer that question on my post or in your own, because I am genuinely curious about the reasoning, especially behind 'no' as an answer.

Heaven completely neglected them just like they did with everyone else, they were completely alone in a big, empty white room with nothing but a glass desk and presumably a chair for six thousand years—and probably even longer than that. Having someone ask them a job-related question every couple centuries doesn't even BEGIN to scratch the surface of their social needs.

When they came down to earth, it was the equivalent of one's first day at a new job, at university, at school, anywhere you had not been before but now plan on being for a while.

You come across others that have been there for twenty years and look like omniscient gods from your point of view; they run the game while you don't even know which game you're supposed to be playing. This is one of the reasons why they read as autistic to many, including myself, because that's exactly what every social situation feels like to me. That's for another post, though.

Of course they're socially awkward and easily overwhelmed! They were dropped off in a capital city after—and let me emphasise this once more—being completely alone for millennia.

The highest of the angels ordered them to do a specific job, like, fuck, I'd be having a nervous breakdown in the lift and curl up in a corner for a few hours because that thought is terrifying. Especially because failure is not something heaven accepts. Especially because they know what happens to those who disobey or disappoint in whatever shape or form.

When we see them, it is in that exact situation—talking to their bosses that they've likely never talked to before, arriving in a new world, being around new people, in a new environment, new everything. It always reminds me of this quote from Modern Family.

Muriel was assigned a rank and job just like everyone else, and they deserve the same respect and acknowledgement for it as the Guardian of the Eastern Gate or the Archangels themselves. Muriel is probably really fucking good at what they do, they've had millennia of practice, but we simply never see them in their everyday situations. Give them some time and support, and they'll be up to speed in no time.

They are not a child—don't treat them like one.

The eliminations brought nothing but anxiety and nervousness to all contestants, including ricky. But seeing who the planet master was brought nothing but a smile to his face and to his heart.

Going into the 3rd elimination felt specially hard for the trainees as they were further into the competition, everyone was really tired and they all had gotten quite close to each other. So it was really hard already to fight with them for a spot on the finale.

As ricky and the rest of the trainees entered the well known by now place where they had been fighting for their dream the crippling anxiety and nervousness started to appear inside of them. Just the thought of their debut opportunity slipping through their hands was heartbreaking.

They did their little intros and headed to their assigned places to wait patiently for their new planet master to start as soon as possible.

"Who do you guys think will be the planet master"asked jeonghyeon

"I honestly don't know, they've even managed to brought Key sunbaenim, so it could be literally anybody"answered zhang hao

"Yeah"said ricky

As music started playing and the lights turned black everyone immediately went silent seeing a silhouette approaching the main stage.

"OMG isn't that y/n sunbaenim?"shouted junhyeon as you got closer to the trainees view finding their reaction adorable and heart-warming as you saw their eyes shine in excitement. But you were specially curious to see someone's particular reaction.

As you bowed to all the trainees your eyes lingered a little bit longer on a blond haired guy that was watching you with an ambiguous expression, somewhere in between shock and thrill to have you right in front of him.

As you got your microphone to your mouth in order to speak you grabbed everyone's attention making the room silent on the process.

"Hello everyone, I'm actress y/n, also known as (your group name) shining princess " your last words being accompanied with the here I am signature gesture (you know, the nan binnaaaa)

You and ricky exchanged little glances at each other shortly before continuing your speech.

Ricky felt your eyes on him and flashed you the sweetest smile someone could have dedicated you ever, this not being unnoticed by ricky's team mates, as they literally saw their friend shining and sparkling once you entered the room.

As you explained the dynamics of the elimination ricky couldn't help but look at you with admiration and appreciation, a caring look present on his face and a feeling of comfort, like carresing your pet after a long day of work or watching your favourite show for the 20th time.

After some time announcing the survivors ricky started to get quite anxious, he was scared because the highest rankings had been taken up already and the only ones left were the lower ones, although if he actually got there he would still be honoured because the star creators would have given him another opportunities to show his multiple talents on stage.

He felt somehow relieved to have you near him, as he could have someone to go to righ after the surviving announcement finished. But still, it was pretty hard to handle.

You got a little break due to the outdoor activities video that they put to reduce the tension in the room, there when all the trainees were watching the clips laughing at the funny moments and commenting things between everyone you and ricky locked eyes again making you both smile unconsciously at the sight of each other.

Looking at both sides to see if anyone noticed you started to communicate with ricky throughout signs and reading lips. You also used little gestures to get your message across as at a distance was harder to understand each other.

As you prepared to read the number 8 you felt your heart accelerate as you tried really hard not to smile widely and just run into your boyfriend's arms.

The eliminations had officially finished,and although it was sad to see their friends part ways he couldn't help but feel so greatful for the position he got as an 8th rank.

As he saw you going off stage he somehow managed to sneek off following you backstage where you were waiting for him with your script still in hand.

Right in that moment he swore you could notice how his eyes literally sparkled with adoration and gratitude for your words, he saw how you looked back with the same expression,making it very hard for him to not be heels over you.

So he just went for it and leaned for a kiss, it literally made you feel fireworks as you put your arms around his shoulders and wrapped his hands around your waist. The comfort and the softness that the kiss made him feel was something he couldn't explain with words, it was purely sweet and an act of love he found so endearing.

As you separated after lingering on his lips for longer than expected you joined your foreheads together while you recovered from your beating hearts and your heavy breathes.

"Well as much as I'd love to stay here like this you've got to go ricky"

"What if I don't want to?"he asked in hopes you didn't ushered him out of the room.

"Rickyyyy"you whined.

"Alright, alright I'll get going"he said letting you go and asking for another kiss on his cheek before stepping out of the room.

You threw him an annoyed look as you gave him what he wanted.

Coming back to his team he was met with all smug grins and raised eyebrows, making him confused.

"Where were you?"

Imma just go ahead and call this ep 'The Library' because everybody was reading for filth. We focus in on the core 6 today and everybody's shit gets laid bare. Here's where the gworls land this week.

🔺1. Ray (2)

No one loves me. I’m all alone.

Ray regains the top slot this week because What A Frigging Mess. He's all over the goddamn place. He needs professional assistance of so many kinds that I don't even know where to begin. Ray is absolutely a danger to himself and others, but he's so charming and so practised at covering up that everybody ignores all the red flags he is planting with every interaction. Ray needs an intervention, not a boyfriend. This habit of falling for his 'saviours'...yeah. The love-bombing...yeah. Toxique-tragique.

🔺2. Top (6)

Don’t be too clever. Or you’d be able to read me inside out.

Well here's a surprise and no mistake. I continue not to believe fuckall coming out of Top's mouth, but he's roared back in the manipulation game between him and Mew. He's got the upper hand now. Also, kicking Boston to the curb, smart move not to shit where he eats, BUT HE'S STILL SHITTING. I don't believe ALL he did with Beam was coke. Also, only addicts say 'I'm not an addict', ASK RAY. But yeah, I am so much more tuned into Top's particular brand of fuckery now, and I am absolutely here for it.

🔹3. Nick (3)

- But don’t get serious with someone like Ton. He’s nasty. - I know. I am too.

Babygirl isn't roaring back quite yet but he's on the up-and-up. When he told Top he knows Boston's nasty but he's nasty too...OH YES LET'S GO. I have suspected that Nick and Boston might deserve each other, and I'm curious to see whether that's the right read. His moves this ep were weaksauce (a 'hello Barbara this is Shirley' moment, really?) but he's definitely escalating and I'm pretty sure he'll soon be on the rise again.

🔺4. Mew (7)

If you quit using drugs, I'll sleep with you.

Mew's lost this game for now. His costs are sunk and he ain't walking away EVEN WHEN TOP TELLS HIM HE'S A COKEHEAD. Mew's still trying to scrabble for control, limiting the scope of their sexual interactions to non-penetrative sex only, extracting (useless) promises about quitting the yeyo, and (false) confessions about who gave Top some tchotchke, but he's lost the game. He's capitulated. Top's lying to his face, and he's choosing to believe it, and giving inexpert hand jobs as 'rewards' for good behaviour. I'm pretty sure Mew was just looking for an excuse to give it up at this point. Mew may yet snap out of whatever hold it is Top has over him, but for now he seems to think he can lose a battle and still win the war.

🔻5. Sand (4)

Stop dragging me around when you feel lonely. Or throwing me away when you don’t need me.

This is so sad to watch because Sand KNOWS. Sand KNOWS that this is destined to end in tears and he's doing it anyway. He read Ray like a book and then simped for him like the manclown he is. I can see the 'I can fix him' memes now but I don't think that's what this is. He KNOWS he can't fix Ray, so he keeps trying to set boundaries but he's weak for those puppy dog eyes. He might be the only person who doesn't see Ray as a 'burden', but that's not gonna save him from getting his heart broken.

🔻6. Boston (1)

Why would someone like me be envious of Mew?

Oh how the mighty have fallen, from first place to last in a single week. Top read him for FILTH in that elevator and judging from the preview for next week it may just be causing some self-reflection. Can't keep a bad bitch down for long though, and Boston is the baddest of them all, so I'm willing to let him lick his wounds and reassess.

Having read bits of your post on To Be Continued, I'm curious about your thoughts on To Be Continued and The Promise even though I am not watching the former and dropped the latter.

Where would you say they rank on The Alan Scale?

I don't know what's happening to me, y'all because first I didn't want Yuan to be too petty in Unknown, and now . . .

I ain't that mad at To Be Continued

Therefore, it's not on the Alan scale (yet! We still have one more episode so shit could change) because the show is kinda basic, but not in a bad way. It's checking off the BL boxes, but, oddly enough, it called out itself in this past episode for doing that.

It's not City of Stars level of awareness, but both leads acknowledged the reason they separated for ten years was pointless. They both apologized for the hurt they caused, then they chilled on the couch and cracked jokes. It was rushed as many of us assumed it would be, but it happened.

In the beginning, I did not like Achi. I thought he was disrespectful to Ji and pushy. Then by episode three, I was completely on Achi's side while being livid at Ji for being distant.

But I've never been upset at Gumbie. He is perfect. He is everything. He is love personified. He resides in my heart. Forever.

Then, once both men stated that they should have actually talked to each other after they had sex as teenagers, I just wasn't as pissed at either of them as I had been for the six previous episodes.

I'm still upset. Let me not gloss over that because I had to deal with hating them for various reasons most of the series, but just like Sun for 7 Days Before Valentine, I see the growth. They aren't the same raggedy bitches that walked into the series.

Unlike this motherfucker.

Phu was exactly who he was at the beginning of The Promise. Not one thing changed about him. He would still run away from the problems HE CAUSED instead of answering for any of the bullshit he pulled.

Nan had already forgiven Phu before Phu even came back into his life. Hell, Nan had forgiven Phu AS PHU WAS WALKING AWAY! Yet we still had to witness Phu be the victim.

There is only one show for me that has really gotten the "I left him because I love him" right and that's our Lord and Savior known as Our Dating Sim.

And it's because none of these other shows know how to balance the reason for leaving with the anger of being left. THAT'S IMPORTANT!

The Promise didn't allow Nan to be angry AND for Phu to acknowledge his part in that anger. Phu just kept crying. How can a relationship happen when Nan could never trust that Phu wouldn't run away again since Phu never saw what he did as wrong?

To Be Continued at least acknowledged that both the reason for Achi leaving and Ji being upset were insignificant. It's not great, but it's the basic amount needed to start fresh because it makes things equal. No one is left standing on high ground thinking his actions were right and the other guy's were wrong.

So, yeah, basic. Bare minimum. But it checked the boxes.

And it also had Poppy's fine ass, so . . .

I ain't that mad at it.

You watched as he pulled a pack of cigarettes out of the back pocket of an officer standing in front of him that you were talking to. He took a single one and slid the pack back in the man's pocket, lighting up the current cigarette he had in his hand with his own quirk, which proved difficult seeing as he was in a pair of handcuffs. He leaned back in a chair and smoked, watching your every move before the officer bid you a farewell, not even noticing that the villain had taken anything from him.

You sat across from Dabi and locked your eyes onto his, which looked like portals, and not to something villainous either. You quickly shook it from your head and pulled out a pen and paper.

"So, what do you want from me, babe?" Dabi blew smoke in your face, but you stayed unwavering.

"Answers." You said, leaning back in your chair a bit.

"You're not gonna get shit outta me." He flicked some ash off of the end of his cigarette.

"And why's that?"

"You're a journalist, right? I don't fuck with journalists." He sat calm, cool, and collected, smoking that cigarette until there was nothing left.

"I'm not a journalist." You kept your voice low, knowing that there were cops listening in on your conversation.

"Then what are you?" Dabi had a mocking tone, but his voice was just as low as yours.

"Curious."

"That right?" He crossed his arms over each other and rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, that's right. Now tell me, what's your name?"

"Dabi."

"You're real name."

"Dabi."

"Your full name."

"Hell no. I haven't sat with your pretty face long enough to tell you that kinda shit. I don't even know you're name." He was definitely mocking you. He picked at his ear and stared at the ceiling while you thought. This was going to prove difficult if he was going to be acting like this all the time.

"Sorry?" He sat up in his chair a bit, confused.

"That's my name. y/n."

"Cute. What's next? You gonna ask me to hang out sometime. Want my number, sugar?"

Now it was your turn to roll your eyes. If you knew he was gonna be this much of an ass, you wouldn't have even shown up.

"What are you getting all irritated about?" He asked, rapping his knuckles on the table. "You're not the one in handcuffs, babe."

"Fine," you said, scooping up your stuff. "If you have such a problem with me being here, I'll leave."

"Good." He crossed his arms as guards rushed in the room to help you leave.

"I'll be back though, Dabi. I'll have you know that now."

"Fine. All the more fun for me then. Though, I don't expect to be here much longer, toots."

You were escorted out of the building by two very nice guards who had warned you to beware of people like him, as if you didn't already know. You got in your car and stared at yourself in the rearview mirror. How the hell were you supposed to help him now?

You hated that they made prisons more locked down because of stupid All for One. Ever since All Might retired, your job was getting ten times harder.

You had always empathized with villains. They just lost the life lottery. They were dealt a bad quirk and usually bad parents. You made it your goal to work with villains undercover. Break them out of jail, give them the essentials they needed, even help plan out missions they had. But now being undercover was getting ten times more difficult thanks to the heroes and their stupid ranks. Not only that but villains thought you were just another idiot.

But even so, you had to work hard. Especially for him.

Dabi sat in his cell fiddling with the stained sheets on his spring mattress. His whole room was fire proof, which was a pain in his ass.

He couldn't believe he was caught. After everything he's done, he was caught robbing a goddamn convenient store. It made him want to slam his head against the wall.

But his mind never left you. Who were you anyway? And why did you even care about him? He stared at the ceiling thinking about it. Did you work for the league? For someone he knew? A hero? His mind was racing thinking about it. And you would be back? He didn't know what you meant by that. You should know that he wasn't going to tell you anything, but you said you'd be back anyway. Were you going to torture him to tell you anything you wanted to hear? Not like it would hurt him anyway.

Either way, you confused him.

And he kind of wanted you back.

Dabi sat up in his bed, expecting to be escorted from his cell to the other room, but you were standing right in front of the cell.

"What the-" his words trailed off seeing you again and he tilted his head. "How'd you..."

You placed your hand on the shoulder of the guard standing next to you and he went completely still, his eyes turning to static. Your quirk. It was like you could turn people on and off like a lightbulb. He wouldn't remember a thing when he woke up.

Dabi looked at you with his mouth gaping open. "Holy shit! You're a villain."

You shrugged. "I wouldn't say a villain, but-"

"Who are you working for?"

"Myself." You took the keys from the guard and unlocked his cell. "Ready to get outta here?"

Dabi smirked at you and grabbed your hand that you had outstretched to him. "You gonna take me to dinner?" He asked, all smarmy like.

"I'll think about it." You laughed, walking Dabi out of the prison past hundreds of guards that seemed to be shut off.

"How long are they gonna be like that?" Dabi asked, realizing that his hand was still in yours. He didn't move it.

"Sometimes minutes. Sometimes hours. I guess we'll figure that out when we cross that bridge, won't we?"

"I like you, cupcake."

You rolled your eyes and walked out of the prison, cold air hitting both of your faces. "Just get in the car, Dabi."

"Gladly, though," he held his hands out to you. "Could you get these cuffs off of me?"

You smiled. "Of course." You unlocked the cuffs and he rubbed his wrists which were so raw that they were a bright red. You couldn't believe that they had him in cuffs even in his cell.

"Were you planning on breaking me out that whole time?" Dabi looked at himself in the mirror on the sunblock in your car, giving himself a little kiss.

You just kept your eyes on the road, a soft smile tugging at your lips.

"So, where do we go after this?"

"My place," you said, rolling down your own window. "The league is off doing their own thing, plus, I know you don't really have a place, so I don't mind if you stay for a couple nights."

"Seriously?! You have like a bed and a fridge and stuff?!" You looked over at him when you stopped at a stop light and he looked like an excited child.

"Seriously." You said with a little chuckle.

"Damn, you are one cool chick, you know that?"

"You think? Well I'm flattered."

"You should be. Cuz damn you're good." Dabi surprised you by leaning over and planting a kiss on your cheek that left it warm for a moment.

For the rest of the ride, he was quiet, letting the wind blow in his hair as he watched the world speed by. You couldn't help but sneak a couple of looks at him.

"You know, Dabi," you said, clutching the steering wheel as you pulled into the parking garage of your apartment. "You're probably the most fun villain I've broken out of jail."

"For real?!" He said all excited like. "You mean that?"

"Of course I mean that." You got out of your car and stretched.

"Well," he opened his door and stepped out, not even caring that he was still in his prison uniform. "You're the most fun person who's ever broken me out."

You grabbed his hand and led him upstairs to your apartment as he winked at a group of drunk girls stumbling to their own room.

When he stepped in the small living space, he stood in the middle, getting his grounds. A smile was spread across his face before he ran to your couch, slumping down on it. "Cozy place."

"Thanks." You grabbed a shopping bag off of your counter and threw it at him.

"What's this?" He asked when he opened it up, pulling out the contents.

"Clean clothes, shampoo, toothbrush, other hygiene stuff. I hope I got your size right."

He looked up at you with light in his eyes. "You didn't have to do all this for me."

You shrugged and started making dinner. "I did."

He smiled and jumped up to run to the bathroom to use any product he could. You cracked an egg over a frying pan and began frying some rice with it. A lazy dinner, but enough to fill you up.

Dabi ran out of the bathroom and jumped back on the couch, finding your cat sitting on the top, which gladly walked over to him to begin to cuddle him.

"I think he likes you," you giggled, bringing Dabi a plate of food. "He's sweet, so you don't have to worry if he'll bite you."

Dabi scratched your cat under his its ears and gladly took the food. "Seriously, you don't have to waste your time on me."

"I'm not wasting my time, I'm doing my job." You sat next to Dabi and the two of you ate dinner in silence.

Dabi finally spoke up, setting his empty plate down. He sure finished that fast. "Why are you doing this anyway?"

"I know what it's like to feel alone. And lost." Dabi smiled at you.

"You sure are sweet for working with a ton of assholes."

You shrugged. "Not all of them are assholes."

"Just me then? Shit."

You and Dabi both laughed and your cat decided to go sleep in its bed on the ground.

"Well, it's getting late, Dabi. I should be heading off to bed. I'll get you a blow up mattress set up in my room."

Dabi followed you and helped you pull a giant blow up mattress out of your closet. While it was blowing up, you and Dabi talked about stupid stuff. First dates, food, traveling, the outdoors, stuff villains wouldn't talk about. Stuff regular people would talk about.

Dabi sat on the edge of your bed and looked out of the window. "You have a nice view of the sky."

"I do, don't I?" You laid out your pillow in a more comfortable area and laid down.

"What's it like?"

"What's what like?" You asked, seeing his blue eyes glimmering in the moonlight that peeked through the window.

"Having a normal life."

"I don't have a normal life." You tried, but Dabi put his hand up.

"More normal than me. You have running water and food. You should be thankful."

"I am thankful," you said, your voice soft.

"Good." His voice was barely audible.

"You can stay here as long as you want."

"I don't want to intrude."

"But I don't want you to be lonely again. I don't want to be lonely again."

Dabi turned and smiled at you. "Fine. I'll stay. But I have to go eventually, don't I?"

"Not anytime soon." You sat up and pressed a kiss onto his ear.

"No, not anytime soon."

The two of you accidently fell asleep wrapped in each other's arms, leaving a lone blow up mattress strewn on the floor.

So I finished act 1 of part 2...

The storytelling is really, really, really bad.

We dont explore the Dreamseekers hometown. We barely know the Dreamseeker at all. We are introduced to way too many character and we do not spend any time with them. What in the world does Vita and Lambda's scenes add? I am genuinely curious what purpose they have. What do they add to this story right now?

I still barely know Coralie or Helia. Sena I can pick apart more personality than those two, but at the same time I feel extremely disconnected from the Dreamseeker as a character.

Holy shit I can just imagine how theyre like for a new player. Those two are complete unknows at the end of act 1. What do we learn about them? That theyre A-rank Schicksal Valkyries? A new player has absolutely no idea what those mean. Outside of surface level stuff, I dont know them at all. I barely even know their personality or how they think about each other.

In terms of story, we just go in a circle, and I have no idea why any of this matters AT ALL. The fact that the story starts 3+ months AFTER Coralie and Helia land on Mars is THE WORST DECISION THEY COULD HAVE MADE.

WE JUST NEED THE CONTEXT FOR "what's normal" FOR THE REST TO INSTANTLY BE BETTER.

Litrerally if we started with just Coralie and Helia going to Mars and exploring it for a bit, I would have very few issues with the story so far.

Part 2 is like starting part 1.5 after Seele is already in the Sea of Quanta.

Part 2 is like starting part 1 after chapter 9.

Part 2 is like starting HSR after already going to Jarilo-VI.

Part 2 is like starting GI without the intro sequence.

Coralie and Helia going to Mars is that missing intro context.

Part 2 so far has been a fever dream.

It makes me really sad. Because if this was my first experience with HI3, I would have dropped it by now.

I want to hope this has potential. I'd hate to drop HI3, I'm too attached to it, but this has been a really bad start. It doesnt even have a hook! What should I care about when everything is strange and I don't know what to wonder about? I'm wondering about everything! I'm confused! part 1 lays down more groundwork in its intro cutscene than part 2 did in the whole of act 1. at least we had some idea as to whats going on back then. i can barely tell the personalities of all these new characters.

coralie and helia going to mars could have fixed so much. why didnt they just include that part?i dont get it. the rest isnt even that bad if we just had any groundwork at all. add coralie and helia going to mars and cut out the vita and lambda scenes because part 2 really does not need more new characters right away, and part 2 wouldve been a lot better already.

my name is a game reference! i picked it in April-May last year when i just started playing hsr and we got introduced to the aeon/god of abundance Yaoshi, i really liked their design and the idea that even good blessings can be harmful if taken to extreme. which is why i am their follower!

1. every jjk fic by voxofthevoid @voxofthevoid, because they'd take up the entire list otherwise. i can't chose one favourite tho the way it follows you home, the stories i never told and isolation neophyte, too afraid to taste your conscience are close contenders for the first place

i adore the way he writes Gojo, that arrogant selfish bastard, and Yuuji, my precious baby can do no wrong 🥰, their interactions with each other and people around them (gege could never). and the smut is always top tier, i am still not over one particular line and i don't think i ever will be

2. still water by movequickly. it's ita/fushi, a canon divergent au from 212 chapter of manga and i just really love Megumi's characterization, the introspection on his relationship with others, something we lack in manga, and Sukuna specifically. also there is minor suku/ita and i am obsessed with the fucked up flavour of it!! like yes yes, this is exactly the way i want them

3. putredine by EvilPeaches. hints of ita/fushi, but mostly suku/ita. also another perfect depiction of the fucked up relationship Sukuna and Yuuji have. Yuuji wins but loses so much in the process you are left to wonder if the victory was worth it. in the end skita merge becoming one person (very fucked)

warning: check tags for both fics, especially the third one (people were talking in the comments about how dark it was but i just got horny 😔)

4. i'll be anything you ask of me by Anonymous. mostly hiita, with some goyuu. short and sweet, Yuuji-centric and encourages him to ask for what he wants, which is something i always approve of. comfort fic for me

5. this side of paradise by omontz. goyuu 236 au, Satoru's death starts a time loop with Yuuji forced to live through each in Satoru's pov. i rarely see time loop fics not from the pov of the person experiencing it and this fic does it perfectly. each loop is perfect and it made me cry, oh poor Yuuji he suffered for so long

6. "But to you it's just words" by WriterOfTheMaximum (@the-hurdy-gurdy-man , hope i didn't mistag lmao), a historical goyuu au where they walk a lot . Gojo characterization is very important to me and he is so perfectly imperfect here, just the way he is in the manga. Yuuji is a precious boy ofc, love this fic very much and i am going to reread it soon

7. Convergence by NoGravity, a canon divergent goyuu au in which Yuuji with the prison realm end up in the past (pre hidden inventory arc). Yuuji tries to unseal Satoru and get back to the future while also getting closer with teen Satoru. teen Satoru's jealousy of his older self was super cute. and while the results of their actions in the past didn't fix their future, it created an alternate universe. in the end both goyuu of the og universe and the alternate one are happy together

8. Lipstick by Lumieerie. one of my fave goyuuge fics, just very lovely and super delicious smut, i read it multiple times

9. Misplaced calls by J_c_nth. a loor at Gojo's time in the prison realm during which he receives calls from Yuuji from a different universe. some just met their Satoru z some haven't, some know him well and some really well. those calls make him confront his own feelings for Yuuji and realise how much he loves him

10. Touch me, touch you by rizna. senpai/kohai au goyuu being stupid and stupidly in love and making other people suffer for it

My Strawberry Film Ep 6 Stray Thoughts

Last week, the kids went on a double date, and no one had a good time. Chika tried to be brave about it all because she knew Ryo didn't like her, but she eventually got mad because Ryo was being nice and thoughtful and blew up at him. Meanwhile, Minami drew a line with Hikaru and wouldn't agree to be his boyfriend, insisting that their current dynamic was fine.

I suspected Minami might be looking for her mom or some other family member. Curious how long she's known about this letter.

I really hope we get some GL out of this show. Every time Minami and Chika interact, my hope rises.

Damn, Minami, you ain't have to call my boy out like that. She's right, though. When I was deep in my closet angst, I had no real appreciation for any signals women were sending my way.

Whoa, we just walked into what feels like ARO-GAY Solidarity. Minami can see what's happening between everyone else, but says she doesn't feel these things herself. The reference to having a lover but not a boyfriend feels like the kind of aro-ace admission we got in Koisenu Futari. Very much connecting with Ryo holding his feelings in because it's about him not wanting things to change.

Oh, Hikaru, do you even know who or what you're jealous of now?

I'm relieved that Chika and Ryo are still talking even if it's awkward.

Gross, Hikaru. That's a yikes from me, dawg. This kind of jealousy is very unappealing.

I like the way they're cutting back and forth between these conversations, particularly because Hikaru is doing so poorly as Ryo and Chika move past the rejection. I also really love Ryo refusing to pretend that the whole event didn't happen.

Genuinely, I'm really enjoying this episode as payoff for the moody angst around what it means to like someone being the primary question driving the characters this week.

Goddammit, Ryo, not an almost-confession. The lights of the cars going by making a light bulb moment was super cool. If course, Ryo ruined it with a no homo. It's okay. I've been there. I understand.

Looks like Hikaru might begin to see next week.

Well, this finally got interesting for me! I'm really glad I hung in there with this show. It was rather quiet for a long stretch there, and I had to work to care about the heterosexual motivations, but I like the show taking them seriously to unpack the space between people who like each other and what it means to express and respond to feelings. Really excited to see how things potentially come to a head next week.

From being a successful singer living in luxury to a low-ranking demoness with nowhere to go, you came across the advertisement for a place called the Happy Hotel and being the curious self you were, you decided to check the place out. It’s not like you had anything better to do. Don’t get me wrong, you didn’t believe a soul that ended down here could actually be redeemed, but the idea was quite interesting. And who knows, maybe you could get a job there, or at least ask the owners if they knew of any job opportunity you could take. To lighten your mood, you softly sang you favourite song, seeing as no one was around so it wouldn’t be awkward. Or so you thought, at least.

“My my, what lovely voice you have darling.”

Came a staticky voice out of nowhere. You quickly spun and observed your surroundings, not spotting anyone anywhere. Was that just your imagination? Are you going crazy? You were on high alert, being in Hell long enough to know violence was a daily occurrence.

“Now now, no need to be scared, darling. I was simply admiring your talent.”

A hand firmly but not too roughly squeezed your shoulder. Your breath hitched. Turning around, you came face to face with a tall, menacing figure of a man all in red, his mouth stuck in a permanent smile. Well, fuck.

“Oh, how ungentlemanly of me!”

He proclaimed, letting go of you and bowing mockingly, one hand on his chest while the other was grasping a microphone of sorts.

“My name is Alastor, one of the overlords of Hell.”

He straightened himself back up, looking at you expectantly.

“H-hi… I’m (y/n)…”

“Pleasure to meet you, quite a pleasure! I heard your singing and just couldn’t resist, what a performance!”

He was dramatically gesticulating with his arms to accelerate his point. It was almost comedic if he wasn’t so creepy looking. After the awkward conversation that took place, you mentioned your unemployment issue and your desire to seek out this Happy Hotel in search of a job. What a lucky coincidence it was, that this interesting fellow was actually familiar with the place, proposing to lead the way. It was great! You were well received by the owner Charlie and her girlfriend and even starred in some of the commercials showing your singing gift. Everything was perfect, or so it seemed.

“Darling, did you really think I wouldn’t find out about this?”

Came the voice you were so used to by now. The voice belonging to no one ese but the terrifying overlord working along side with you.

“Did you really think that a low life like him could actually make you happy?”

He caressed your hair, his tight grip on your waist signalling an unspoken threat.

“Did you really think he would be able to protect you, love you and give you what you wanted?”

His cold breath on your neck made your fight or flight instinct kick in. Why? Why did it have to be this way?

“Now, don’t look so scared, you know I wouldn’t harm you my dear.”

Trashing around the grip on you only tightened, making all dreams of escape be only that, dreams. How did you not see this coming? How did you ignore all those red flags? The lifeless body of one of the customers of the hotel lied in front of you, chunks of it all over the walls and even the ceiling. All of this only because you agreed to have dinner with him.

“I am a very territorial man, you see? Especially when it comes to what’s rightfully mine.”

No one was able to save you, not from him.

Oath of the Watchers and Oath of the Ancients are tied (personally I slightly prefer Watchers but that's because *Chetney werewolf voice* you guys ever do it on the different planes, but both are impeccable, it's really just planar vigilance vs. being a source of nature and light) (no CR examples but I believe you would know ancients from Beverly Toegold V)

AITA for arresting a teen because of a false tip?

I (45-55F) am an... extremely high-ranking employee for my Police Department in a large city. For the past 34 years now, our city has had a major cybersecurity and cyberattack problem. And I don't mean just a few people getting hacked every now and again, but entire city corporations and facilities shutting down because they've been hacked almost weekly. The only thing we know about these cyberattacks is that a hacker organization known as "Seven Stars" is behind many of the cyberattacks in the past 10 years. (Also, I must clarify that this is all public info. Look it up if you believe otherwise.)

Due to reasons that I cannot legally disclose, the only thing I am able to do for the city at the moment is get warrants for and arrest any people that are suspected of being affiliated or part of Seven Star's group. And a few days ago, me and my co-workers were tipped off that a prominent Seven Stars member was living in an apartment not far from here. So, we all packed up into our police cars and drove to the location.

Well, the tip turned out to be a hoax. We only found a teen there, and although he was uncooperative and resisted arrest, we couldn't ignore the obvious VPN on his laptop and pages upon pages of notes of other people's social media account info. We brought him back to the station and tried to talk to him, but he's been silent for hours now. We've decided to keep him here in custody for the night until we can proceed with the legal process or until he talks to us.

His arrest has caused quite a stir in the area, though. A lot of people are up in arms about this, and I can't blame them. However, it's pretty much impossible to just let him free now since we've started the legal process, and I can't just ignore all the evidence that was in his apartment room. Although the tip was false, we can't just ignore the mountain of evidence the kid had in his room and his unwillingness to talk to us. This would be so much easier if he just talked to us...

I'm curious to see what the general population thinks of this case. Perhaps if the backlash is so great that people from other countries and continents know about this case, I could speak to my higher-ups about possibly releasing the kid...

i always headcanoned him as having a bad past with law enforcement (as in they didn’t seek proper justice on something close to him), so he strives to work and change it while maintaining as much peace as possible.

Don’t know if this is something you’d cover but could you speculate on some more hero and villain swapping? Specifically the ones I’m most curious about would be Overhaul, Redestro, Gentle and Nagant as heroes with Hawks, Jeanist, Mirko, and Aizawa as villains.

I am always interested in talking about swapping characters like that. I highly encourage you guys to send in questions like that. Though for this, I picked Redestro. Partly because I prefer talking about villains becoming heroes and partly because I'm really intrigue to see how he would turn out as a hero given his history.

Re-Destro is interesting to talk about since so much of his character, motivation, and goal is based in anti-establishment ideas. It's hard to think of why he'd be a hero given that heroes represent a lot of issues he has of Quirks being wielded by the few. Now, I think it'd be interesting to have him be hero with the same goal, wanting to try and use his position as a hero to establish new ideas and steer people towards the MLA way of thinking. However, I think that just isn't in the cards for how hypocritical that is. Not to mention this would put him in a lot of opposition to both the Hero Commission and the MLA. I think the only real option would be for him to turn away from the MLA entirely in this scenario. He could see that the MLA's goals wouldn't help anyone and just turn things into an anarchistic mess. It could even be a penance thing, wishing to make up for the sins of his forefather rather then be a figure head in his regime. He could still have and run the business side of things to make tech to help people like in canon, but leave that up to his lackies a lot of the time, kind of a how a lot of billionaire characters do in comics.

As for how he would operate, I think he'd do pretty well. "Stress" is obviously really powerful, helped even further since he'd still have access to all the gear he made in canon given how much many he'd make as a hero, Re-Destro has a good head on his shoulders when it comes to leadership and tactics. I think he would be exceptionally capable as a hero. He would be one of those rocks other heroes look up to in a crisis situation or leading a whole other squad of heroes during an operation. That mixed with his amazing public relations with all the support gear he finances, and he would be easily be in the top twenty or thirty in the rankings. As for his personality, I think that he would be similar in canon, keeping an amicable persona in public. He'd still try to push for more awareness with Quirk related issues and try to help others with his influence and finances, whether it be in support items or housing. However, he would be hiding his immense stress and anger under a friendly face. He would try to be a pillar of self control and help others with their various Quirk related issues, showing that people's powers don't need to rule over their lives or decide their value. That is until you push one of his rage buttons, in which case, that's when things get messy.
