💗🐦BRAVEBIRD🐦💗 Here it is on the eve of my birthday, my post about the big and brave and the tiny but tenacious ways in which I acknowledge I have lived my life so far. I have adventured so very far from the template I was brought up with, but I acknowledge that in each generation of our family, someone has done the same. There’s a fine line of perception between Brave and ‘Stupid’. Sometimes we have to do something a little silly to reawaken our bravery, or even something that may seem stupid to others. This kind of bravery shifts a status quo that is robbing us of our zest for life. It is important that we are brave for ourselves, no matter how people may try to suppress and moderate us to their idea of what is acceptable. I didn’t become a Wild Priestess by letting other people chart my course for me. I sailed the seas of suicide before I was able to get to know myself well enough to understand that much of what I was feeling had been caused by events out of my control and many years ago. That’s when I took the helm of my own ship and steered myself on a course known only to the primordial goddesses of the waters. It doesn’t have to be complicated, it can be simple as you like. Bravery is choosing you and your loved ones in any moment. If you are feeling the call to be brave in some action, conversation or decision, put your Bravebird pants on, and see it through.
