!!!13 Reasons Why SPOILERS!!!

I just finished the series and I’m literally so broken up about Justin. Like out of everyone in the entire show, it had to be Justin for some fucked up reason?? Man I loved him so much, Justin and Alex have been my comfort characters since I first watched the season. Justin deserved so much better, he was finally getting better but apparently not. I’m not gonna lie, I cried the entire way through that last episode, so much to the point where I was on the brink of dehydration. One characters death has never hit me so hard, it was like losing an actual person, it hurts. Maybe its because I don’t want to let the series go because, even though its been controversial in my life, I still love it with my whole being or it was that I found comfort in the show.

The last season was beautifully pieced together, it was an amazing emotional rollercoaster with things coming full circle. Normally I hate when shows do that full circle symbolism bs, but for this one I feel like it really worked, because no matter what they do those events will always be apart of who they are and will always come full circle for them. I loved it. Every second, every tear, every laugh.

Alex has been my favourite character since season one, and his dad has always been my favourite parent on the show, when Diaz said the Bryce case was closed for good after saying to Standall how family comes first and what not, I cried. I knew they knew something, Standall always seemed to protect them kids and even thought it wasn't right what happened, I feel like blaming it on Monty was the only way to not have everyone’s lives ruined even more. As for Alex and Charlie, (or even Alex and Winstion) I love them. I wont say I was surprised, my boy Alex is, gay/bi/pan/whatever, I love that he’s figured it out. It made me so happy, especially to see how he ended up with Charlie. Charlie was a literal light the entire time he was on screen.

I think the punks, like Cyrus, should have got more screen time. I liked the nerdy punks. They were ready to shut off the school power and set shit on fire and I loved that so much.

In all, I think the show did an astounding job at documenting real issues that teens and kids face in todays world and how fucked up shit really is. Lets be honest, there was no sugar coating anything that was touched on the show. Now I will wrap this post up by saying a farewell to a show thats been with me since I started high school. Seeing the characters I’ve come to love graduate close to the time I graduate myself, and hearing Clay’s speech, gives me hope. This series was dark, and faced a lot of controversy but its definitely worth the watch and has made an impact on my life. So to the characters I love; Justin, Alex, Zach, Tyler, Tony, Clay, Jessica, Ani, Hannah, and even the ones I hate, Bryce, Monty. Goodbye. I will revisit this series many times in the future, and I can assure I will cry just as hard the second times around as the first.
