heyy, I saw you rb a post about ocs and was wondering if you wanted to share about them possibly? I love hearing about people's ocs, but if not that's totally cool!

ogbbhh sure!! ill put a readmore so it doesnt fuck up anyones dash lmao

basically the ss taresh-kar is a vulcan science academy ship and they go from planet to planet researching things (usually checking if some planets are good to be terraformed or checking planetary anomalies)

this is the crew i have for now:

- Michael Miriam: human, transgener and jewish, works as the ships repairman. has a power rangers holodeck program w his beautiful wife salem (hes the red ranger btw ofc)

- Jaris Kahn: joined trill, yes kahn as in lenara kahn i didnt feel like making a new symbiont name, has trill autism, doctorate in xenobiology, bug enthusiast and fanfiction writer. works in missions w animals and bugs bc they always warm up to him for some reason

- Salem: vulcan, transgener and space jewish. married to mike. especializes in anomalies. kind of a rebellious vulcan, drawing inspiration from the human punk movement (if anyone fights her abt jt she goes "i find your aversion to my choice of clothing illogical". queen) she also plays the blue ranger in her and miriams holoprogram

- Arastrata: from a planet i havent named yet, and a species i also havent named yet. his planet is getting things ready to join the federation, and he, as the current head of states son, was sent to study at the vsa as kind of a peace token or smth. he specializes in mathematics and star charting bc his planets culture are centered around those things. has to wear mobility aids bc his body is adjusted to lighter gravity. i rlly should name his planet

- K'dal: klingon, intersex. typical klingon Qapla'! warrior trope but shes in sciences. uses any pronouns bc hasnt reached what i call the "age of choosing" (basically like klingon intersex folks can pick what to be called as once theyve reached a certain age at least thats my awesome hc). has a bunch of scars that he says he got in epic battles and stuff but it was actually for shit reasons like falling and hitting her head as a baby. loves luzia more than anything

- Luzia: castro type android. made by a brazilian engineer. she has the physical appearance of an 8 year old bc the planet she was built in didnt have many resources. has goofy features like if you keep her at a cool temperature and snap any part od her body her eyes start glowing like a glowstick. but shes also nore fragile than soong type androids, unable to carry heavy things and cant stand too much pressure. she has gravity controls tho and can adapt to every planet/planetoid w lighter atmosphere than Qo'noS (anything else is too heavy for her and she might break)

- Toni: vulcan cringefail man raised on earth. tries to act tough bc hes a vulcan and shit but he always fails. straight up crybaby i love him

there are more bc i also made a crew for the cargo ship that delivers their cargo and a starfleet ship that often crosses path w the taresh-kar, but ive procrastinated answering this ask for long enough so! ty for asking

What was supposed to be a quiet, calming night in with your girlfriend was slowly turning into a messy disaster. It was one of the few nights where Carol could stay in with you, where she wasn’t on the other end of the universe saving lives, and you intended to make the most of it. Simpler was better, you thought, so you proposed to make dinner together before having a movie night.

It turns out, Carol Danvers, your superhero girlfriend who you’re convinced can carry planets on her shoulders, is a horrible cook.

“y/n!” you hear Carol yell your name from the kitchen, and you frown as you look up. You had momentarily left her alone to keep an eye on the food while you were getting changed, after Carol had accidentally spilled some sauce on your shirt. Quickly pulling on a comfortable hoodie, you emerged from your bedroom to find Carol staring at you with wide eyes, almost comically holding up a wooden spoon as she stands by the stove, where the nearby pan is engulfed in flames.

“Carol!” you exclaim, rushing over to her as you quickly lower the heat, fanning the flames with your hands as you quickly remove the pan from the stovetop. Turning to her, you splutter, “What did you do?”

“I didn’t think it was cooking fast enough!” Carol defensively explains, still wielding the spoon as she throws her hands up in the air. “So I just turned up the fire. I didn’t know the whole thing would end up burning!”

“Oh my God,” you snort, barely able to hold back your laughter at the situation. “You’re ridiculous. You’re going to ruin our dinner!”

Carol’s lips wobble into a smile as her gaze falls into the pan. “Hate to break it to you, but I think it’s already ruined.”

You look down at the burnt vegetables, before letting out a dramatic sigh. You turn, dumping it into the trashcan, before turning around to face Carol. She offers you a sheepish smile, before suggesting, “Takeout?”

“You’re officially banned from the kitchen.” you point her towards the living room, and she bursts into loud laughter, the type of laughter that’s so easily contagious, with her smile lighting up her entire face. Shaking your head at her, you say, “Well, at least we can still watch movies.”

“Hey, I’ll make it up to you. I’ll go order the pizza, you can go set up the TV with whatever movie you want to watch.” Carol tells you, and you grin at her.

“Perfect,” you respond, leaning forward to give her a kiss, and Carol chuckles as she kisses you back.

i don’t sleep

tl;dr: tbh not much to go off on about. i think we see a new skin for Iron Bear, one with some stripes. amara smiles, i do talk a little bit about little sisters in bioshock but tbh i think this was all just a stylistic choice lol. oh and handsome jack’s masks- probably Mount Jackmore. i don’t want to get to freaked out over jack returning, but damn gearbox lol u had me there for a second. im pretty sure it’s just a reused cut quest from bl2 that they never got to implement.

holy shit that was fucking great and im really glad i tempered my expectations to something smaller than i thought because i feel bad for people expecting something huge, i was under the assumption we’d be getting a new mechanic that was like ‘choose ur +1 and they’ll be able to play the game with you if you’re both online even if they don’t have the game’ which was what someone said on reddit. altho im sure the poor company is gonna get spammed now with hate like ‘WTF YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE BUILT THIS UP AAAA’. not to lie, i was slightly disappointed it wasn’t a longer stream, but i mean if they’ve got nothing to announce, they’ve got nothing to announce and HEY! new trailer!!! gonna be combing thru on the assumption this has some easter eggs like the MoM trailer did, just in case. i thought it was a cute trailer, gearbox never explicitly said what it was gonna be, a lot people all just assumed what was gonna happen was a demo/beta which sucks so i hope this doesn’t negatively impact people’s perspective of the game. im staying off reddit for now bc when i first checked it people were pretty pissed and i dun need that negativity lmao

Okay. I’ve allowed a night to let everything sink in. I’m ready to talk about Endgame now.

*cinemasins voice* spoilers!! (duh..)

so the wounds are still fresh. v v v v v v v v v fresh. but my thoughts during the entire movie were just OMG IM TRYING TO REMEMBER EVERY SINGLE THING THAT IS HAPPENING SO I CAN REMEMBER IT AS LONG AS POSSIBLE BEFORE i inevitably go see this movie again

This is what the movie reduce me to like 99% of the time btw

now, I’m gonna try and break this up to be as organized as possible into 4 main sections which will be general thoughts, the highs, the lows, and closing thoughts. that may sound organized but I promise it won’t be and as always I’ll have to use bullet holes to even stay relatively "organized"

I'm sure I'm leaving stuff out that I either loved or would wanna discuss but tbh the ENTIRE FILM i was just like GOD I WANNA REMEMBER THIS FOREVER!! Every scene that happened i was like god there's still 3 hours of stuff that's going to happen but I want to remember it all!!!

Overall

this movie was good. and i’m mad it was so good and i found it so enjoyable for how dirty they did me. The pacing was pretty well done for a first viewing, but I'm sure after a couple rewatches I'll get caught up on the occasional misstep in the pacing and general direction the story took, but I really liked it!!

I thought the Thor stuff was kinda distasteful and honestly a joke that ran too long. Like ha ha okay we get it but also? He went through so much fucking trauma can we just lay off him? Damn? I don't wanna linger too much on it bc honestly the more I think about it the more I get upset the russos did him dirty

all the callbacks??? made me so emotional????? eleven years and almost two dozen films guys holy fucking shit it felt like such a good homage to bring stuff back

Yo literally when they went up to busted ass thanos i leaned over to my bf and whispered "are they just gonna kill thanos in the first ten minutes is that allowed" and uh YEP! WOW

Also the opening scene being Clint's family getting dusted... gasps in my theater y'all they went in hard on us

TIME HEIST!!!!!! FUCK marvel knows how to take you on a fun journey!! The concept was so fun!!

I also appreciate them mixing up the plot a bunch to keep us guessing!! Like fuck, when Thanos was finding out through Nebula... future nebula talking to past gamora i was SO SOFT... sisters...

Hulk was... weird. It felt a weird kind of fanservicey for a little bit, and honestly a little out of place? But. Eh. Wasn't the worst part. Certain parts of it were fun! I think I got used to it haha

Everyone looked. So good. After the time jump. Damn. Thank you make up department for everyone's new looks. I live for silver fox tony always.

I loved seeing Loki again i know it was so little content BUT I DONT CARE I'LL ALWAYS LOVE MY FUCKING PRINCE

We didn't get as much Nebula and Tony content as I was hoping but god it was so cute and tender in the beginning. Imagine all that bonding. Nebula finding tony on the floor, knowing he's on the brink of death, and propping him up in the seat :'(((( tony helping fix nebula :(((( the father daughter relationship we deserved and didn't get to see come to fruition.

All the New York flash back was so fucking fun. The elevator scene. Brilliant. I really thought they were gonna recreate but it was such a fun tease. Also cap making fun of his past self for saying "i could do this all day" I SCREAM why do the Russo's get steve so well

ALSO SHORT HAIRED CAROL YESSSS I LIVED!!!!! YES!!!! (But also that movie could've used like way more Carol thats just mY OPINION)

Also AGAIN, I DON'T CARE THAT IT WAS FAN SERVICE, STEVE WEILDING MJOLNIR WAS E V E R Y T H I N G. They have TEASED US since that one middle avengers movie we don't talk about that he was worthy and!!! Our!! Son!! Is!! Fucking!!! Worthy. And the scene of thor making him swap w/ him "you get the little one" i screamed bitch

also I was living for how much Steve swore in this film lol literally fuck joss Whedon's characterization we don't know her!

That entire final action scene..... holy fucking shit y'all. It was just crazy enough without being too crazy. I loved the callback to the original long continuous shot

I'm the last person to be a Howard stark apologist, but I think his character and his relationship w/ Tony and how Tony viewed him as a father and as a man was so well crafted throughout the series??? Idk I liked that scene it was good to my baby.

And now a pOSSIBLY CONTROVERSIAL~~ opinion but..... I loved Steve's ending. I really did. I thought he got a beautiful and fitting ending and I was so happy. It meant so much especially to hear his reasonging being that in a way, he did it for Tony. He was inspired by what Tony told him. He saw Tony get his happy ending and for so many films now Steve has been searching for that and he missed an entire life. Tony helped him realize that. It just made me!! So emo!! Like Bucky's face when he knew Steve wasn't gonna be coming back. Steve's last convo w/ Sam. It was just amazing. I can't believe I'm seeing hot takes from people calling Steve selfish or blaming the fact that the Russos have a boner for Steggy or whatever. Who cares!!! Steve got his happy ending and it was well deserved and a wonderful arc!! Lay off him bc you ship him w/ Bucky or tony more damn!!!! (Idk about the timeline y'all dont come for me i really have no idea i think the Russos just said fuck it for that one even when talking about not fucking up the timeline)

Lows

Natasha deserved better. She did. I understand why they took her character arc the way that they did, and honestly, this is the first time I've felt we've seen Natasha have even a modicum of actual character traits since like, Iron man 2 and Avengers 1. She found purpose in keeping the family together and trying to help the people left living, while never stopping or losing contact with anyone else in their endeavors to fix what Thanos broke. As tired as I am of seeing a female character die for ~man pain~ this felt like so much more than that. In the end Nat wanted to sacrifice herself for the greater good, and that's what she did. I'm still fucking upset though, even though they've butchered her character across almost all the films she's been in

Thor being turned into an entire fucking joke. That's it. I got nothin left for the writers at this point.

So..... let's talk about Tony's death, shall we

"You can rest now" broke me. It truly did. I've never loved any fictional character across any medium as much as I have loved Tony Stark. But Pepper's line at the beginning "you'll sleep, but will you rest?" Is so fucking telling. I think I immediately knew for sure in that moment. Because she's right. And that's the worst part.

Peter :)))) finally :)))) calling :))))) tony :)))) by :)) his :)))) first :)) name :))) as he was dying :)))) asking him not to go the same way he told tony he didn't want to go when he was getting dusted GOD. AND WE THOUGHT THAT SCENE IN INFINITY WAR WAS ROUGH. HAD N O T H I N G ON THIS.

That funeral scene.... seeing everyone there drawn together..... god. It was beautiful. It really was.

Of course I'm not happy. I'm extremely fucking upset. I knew tony wielding the gauntlet would be coming, but I thought they would find a way for him to make it out alive. As soon as they were showing that even the hulk couldn't handle it with the gamma radiation, I knew the nail was going to be in the coffin.

All that aside... what I can say, is that if they HAD to kill him off, I think it was a proper send off. We saw so many arcs of Tony's come to a close, and I knew it was just a matter of time. Also that being said, I really don't believe in death being necessary to end a character's arc. Yeah yeah blah blah we get the sad and tragic but TRUE message that at the end of the day death is inevitable and that tony had to sacrifice himself for the greater good. He and Strange both knew it, and as soon as Strange held up that finger I knew that was it for him.

It wouldn't be so hard if they hadn't given us everything they did with tony after the 5 year jump. He healed. He was HAPPY. But pepper was right, and as long as Tony was alive... he would never truly /rest/. And that's the only way I'm able to make peace with this death. Tony has always been a character who was just going going going, never going to stop even if it killed him, all to protect the ones he loved, and protect the whole world and make it a better place. He had a beautiful story that was told so well over these past eleven years, with admitted shortcomings here and there. He had the most cohesive trilogy films, the best character development and arcs, and an incredible portrayal. I'm grateful for it, but that doesn't make it any easier that they decided to go and show us that Tony was able to FINALLY settle down with Pepper and see him find the best version of himself as a husband to her and a father to his little baby girl. A baby girl that now has to grow up without her dad, and pepper has to go on without her husband, the love of her life. It's fucking tragic and honestly, we didn't need that imho lmao

The hardest parts is that like.... idk. I feel like the only reason they killed him is for shock factor, but somehow without the shock? A lot of us felt or were worried that this was coming. I think the russos and co. We're just totally set on the idea that like... tony HAD to die and that was the only way for this arc to come to a close not just WITHIN the universe, but meta, outside of the MCU as well. They did the same thing with Hugh jackman as Logan and that shit HURTED me y'all. Eleven years we had RDJ give us this amazing character and he is the SOLE reason the MCU is where it is today. So you know what, the Russo's and everyone can circle jerk about how much ~poetic justice~ there is in this ending for Tony, but at the end of the day... it just ain't it fam.

Realistically I know after wielding the infinity stones there is no way Tony, a human, could've survived, even with his armor on. I knew that. And as biased as I am towards seeing Tony living, if he had wielded the stones and NOT died? It would've felt cheap. So again, if they had to end his life, I appreciate the way they did it and thought it was the best send off they could've given him. I also would've appreciated some kind of alternate option where oh i dont know carol or someone strong enough could've handled the snap and tony could live the rest of his days with his wife and daughter and found family but..... ig that's just me huh.

And last thought is that I fucking cried AGAIN because the biggest applause moment was during the credits when RDJ's name appeared. My theater gave a standing damn ovation. Also the very last sound after it faded to black... Tony hammering away, building the very first Iron Man suit.... that shit hurted.

Oh my what a question, I was actually talking about this not too long ago with a friend! And the conclusion ended up being that if her invisibility is a permanent mutation he can’t, but if she can turn it off at will then probably he can too! Right now we still don’t know how exactly Tooru’s quirk tho, so we can’t be sure which is the truth! (I like to think she can turn visible if she wants, but that’s just an headcanon with very little basis haha)

make fun of Kaminari (Kaminari feels attacked and liked it better when Jirou was convinced she didn’t like Bakugou)

share music recs and go to concerts together (when it’s big ones they particularly care for they stand in line The Whole Day and at first it used to be sorta awkward but now being together makes the hours fly)

Yeah yeah yeah yeah!!!!! Actually I’ve been thinking about this A LOT in the past couple of days and my conclusion ended up being that the key would be either for Kirishima to know Bakugou since they were really young OR for him to not attend Bakugou’s same middle school? Like, if they developed their personalities together, having someone like Kirishima around since they were kids could have made Bakugou develop differently, but if we go with the “they met in middle school” scenario then I think Kirishima would have had the same sort of...soothing? Effect on Bakugou only if Bakugou didn’t see him as a threat to his dream of being the only kid from that middle school to enter UA. Well, a scenario in which they had known each other since they were small young babies and Bakugou reached middle school going “the only one from this middle school to enter UA is gonna be me and Eijirou”, that would have been hella cute wouldn’t it hahaha growing up with a notion of us instead of just me would have changed Bakugou a lot, I’m pretty sure :D

Mod Roza; Hi! I’m fifteen, but my birthday is on the 17th of November, so I’ll be sixteen soon! We’ve had this blog for a few months now, but I forgot the exact date ^^’ No, I do not have a favourite RP or headcanon blog, but I do enjoy a handful of all types of different fandoms. I also do roleplays on my email, so if anyone would like to discuss a roleplay with me, please PM me on my personal blog: Daughter_of_the_gods Or click here! As for school, it’s good. I’m hella busy though! I have my mock GCSE’s starting next weeks until the second week of December so I won’t be able to post for a while unless it’s announcements! Sorry! And thank you! Mod Roza; Hmm, what encourages me? Well, usually what’s been in the ask the longest! But if I’m having writer’s block, I’d choose something easier for me to do, and eventually come back to the other one after I’ve gotten more ideas!I especially love the more unusual ones! Mod Azusa; A good question! I tend to start with ones that have been in the ask box for the longest, or ones that I know I’ll be able to power through and get out straight away! If there’s none that interest me, I pick a random one and work through it. All of the asks that follow the rules get answered; no matter how much we don’t want to do them!

I’m a 110% a slut for three of them. I call them my “Unholy trio” THis consists of Ruki, Kou and Subaru. These three are my weakness and I cannot choose between them. I love them all. So my “favourite” is the whole unholy trio.

It was a joined thing! If I recall correctly, Mod Azusa wanted to make a DBL blog (After I successfully dragged her down to DiaHell, y’all are welcome for the fact I converted Mod A into one of us and added such a talented writer as them into our DiaHell ranks XD) but after I suggested having a headcanon blog, and we agreed to do it together from the beginning! It was super difficult to get noticed in the Community at the start, but now we’ve E X P LO D E D Please Keep in mind I have a horrible memory and Mod Azusa most likely remembers it better than I.

Mod Azusa;

I had originally started this blog as a fan blog! After talking with Mod Roza, we both decided to turn it into a headcanon blog. It’s a good way to get writing skills while doing something you enjoy!

Question 5; ask for both mods, what's your favorite disney movie?

Mod Roza; My favourite Disney movie? That’s a hard one! Hm, I gotta say I like Mulan a lot, because she’s badass, but then again I also adore Tangled, too! Mod Azusa; Favourite movie hands down is Aladdin. Jasmine is best princess 10/10 .

Question 6; ask for both mods, do you have any pets? if so explain their personality? Thanks

Mod Roza; Yesssssssssssssssssssss My baby Tiger. (He’s a cat called Tiger and NOT an actual Tiger (Low-key wish he was tho)) Tiger is a huuuuge cat that I’m pretty sure is as big as an actual big-cat cub and he’s fluffy af and a huge asshole but he’s the most lovable asshole ever. He is very cuddly when he feels like it, but he drools a lot and recently he started cuddling my head and licked my eye which was G R O S S. But I love him so much and he’s my precious child. Mod Azusa; Hey! I used to have two pets; a German Shepard husky mix and a calico cat. My dog’s name was Elvis and my cat’s name was Tails ^^. We sadly had to put them both down due to various illnesses, but I was able to be with them for about nine years or so. Question 7; for both mods, what was the first thing you guys ever wrote? do you think its good and is it still online or in a notebook? Lmaooo- Mod Roza; I mean, i was probably like, 3 when I first wrote something?? But I think you mean what’s the first /original/ thing I have written, and I will tell you that yes, I still have it and unfortunately yes, it’s online. It’s the cringiest thing ever and I hate how awful 12-year-old-me was at writing. If anyone is wondering I wrote “jelsa” fanfics. Jelsa being the ship for Jack Frost and Elsa. Are you cringing yet? XD Mod Azusa; Oh man. The first thing I ever /actually/ wrote was an attack on titan fanfiction about two years ago. I still have it on my google drive, and it makes me cringe to even look at it. It was a summer project that I was writing with an online friend- we never did finish it, but I read it over every once in awhile to see how much I’ve grown as a writer. Question 8; nyello, i wanna ask both of yees, Which dialovers boy(or boys) do you have the hardest time writing for? ty Mod Roza; Reiji. Without a doubt I can’t do that King of Savageness. He’s soo hard to write for I literally DIE whenever I write him. As for Mukami’s, Yuma is hardest to do for me. Mod Azusa; I think the hardest diaboy for me personally to write is probably Yuma. He’s a very hard character to nail, and I’ve spent quite some time browsing and replaying the games just to get another look at his quite abstract personality. I do try my best to keep him as in character and realistic as possible! Question 9; hi! sorry if this has been asked before, what made you guys interested in diabolik lovers? like how did you find out about it? (this is a question for both mods btw!) Mod Roza; Oooooh Gods….I’ve been in DiaHell for YEARS. Like, I don’t even remember HOW I got into this hell. But Here I am~Tbh I think I google something like “Romance animes” or “Supernatural animes” and found a list and it caught my eye??? Idk anymore RIp.((I got Mod Azusa into DBL y’all are welcome. Like Otome is the thing me and her originally linked and connected to and now we’re great friends b/c of otome.)) Mod Azusa; I originally got into diabolik lovers because of Mod Roza! She introduced me to it, so I have her to thank for bringing me into the community. I have a great love for otome games, and so I began playing the diabolik lovers series shortly after watching the anime. I guess the time when (TRIGGER WARNING: Hitting on underage girls) I was at my uncle’s name-day party ((Slavic thing)), and there was this guy in his mid 30’s there, he seemed pretty cool at first, until he tried to hit on me later in the night, when I had admittedly a little too much to drink (It was a family party.) and I was tipsy, he danced w/ me (Which isn’t considered creepy in Slavic countries, but he danced w/ me in a slow, romantic manner and it was V uncomfortable!) And the straw was when he kissed me neck and called me his “little lady” I pushed him the fuck away and sat on the stairs, too scared to tell anyone and i felt V disgusted and filthy.He ended up w/ my Uncle beating the SHIT outta him though, and he ran the fuck out the house after that. But it to this day scarred me. Mod Azusa; ooo. I don’t tend to have creepy things happen to be very often (i’ve gotten used to quite a bit of it). I can’t recall exactly a time when I’ve been creeped out, but things that go bump in the night can cause uneasiness. I get frightened more often than creeped out. Thank you all so much! Ah, tbh I am not so sure?? The entire premise for it (Hero dating a villain while civilian and neither of them realizing it) was taken from an AU I had. Everything else tho (Characters, setting, plot, literally Everything) was created from the bottom up minus that premise.

As for the actual premise?? Idk?? I love irony it’s one of my favorite literary devices and I’ve always thought it’d be funny if I took a hero/villain ship and made it. Quite literal. And yeah. Idk if that actual idea is cliche or not—I think it is but I’ve never seen anyone use it but it’s also not THAT creative so I’m ???

As for the actual characters and etc… I kinda wanted to go oldschool superhero themes. All the super hero stuff (especially now that it’s on the big screen) is so gritty and supposed to be realistic with lots of sci-fi and government conspiracy shit and I. Wanted to do something more fun than that? More personal?

The characters are. Characters. I made Ty and Zeke how I make all my characters. Zeke is super geeky and nerdy and isn’t quite the lawfully good guy you’d think he is while Ty is. Sharp and flirtatious but isn’t exactly the chaotic villain you’d think. Idk. I also wanted to write a story with a woman main character who is feminine, muscular, and confident since you don’t really. See a lot of those. Especially feminine characters. Unless they’re side characters or villains. In the same vein, I wanted to write a man main character who is still seen as strong and masculine, but isn’t as confident and is really in touch with his own emotions and not afraid to show them.

I also wanted to create an actual morally gray story utilizing superheroes and villains, which is the most black/white concept you can think of, without just making the protagonists bad guys, antagonists good guys, and saying it’s super deep and morally gray when, in fact, it still follows the black/white dichotomy but flipped. If that makes any sense.

I do wanna note that everything in BoS isn’t 100% my idea. Angel gave me input, especially with the characters, and I had two irl friends help me HEAVILY with the plot and characters (one of said friends being a huge superhero fan—so he was really able to help me get a plot that was personal, not overused, still interesting, and not copying anything by the Big Name Companies such as Marvel and DC)

and uh this was a huge ramble and I didn’t r answer your question I guess? Basically my inspo was that I miss more personal superhero stories, and wish there were more personal ones (aka focused on characters and relationships and etc) and less “THE DESTRUCTION OF THE E N T I R E WORLD!! GOVERNMENT CONSPIRACIES!!! SUPER DARK AND GRITTY!! 30 MAIN CHARACTERS!!” and wanted to go back to a more old school feel with a plot NOT revolved around. Social issues and the government and etc etc etc but maybe still touching upon those things. Idk yet. Haven’t pinned down all the themes besides being more morally gray than what meets the eye.

(Note: This isn’t a dig at Marvel or DC lol. I saw most the DC Uni. movies in theaters ((and saw wonderwoman twice)) and I really enjoy almost all the Marvel movies. They both still have lots of issues tho and neither of them are totally the kinda story I like. Idk I could write multiple papers on the intricate character problems in both Marvel and DC)

Anyway Rin, I have this thought about ships in general in korea. I mean for exp. Taekook, how popular are they and what is the parameter to know if a ship is popular, in korea? and what is the diff between k-shippers and int. shippers? wether it's the behaviour or etc. Sorry if this question annoys you hehe, but thank you in advance!

well, similar to when you like a group you'll barely care about other groups, my otps are taekook and namjin so i mostly have those two on my timeline and don't really pay attention to other pairings, even though i do follow people who ship other pairings (vmin, sope, yoonmin, jinkook etc). the pairings in maknae line are probably the most popular ones, although there isn't a parameter of which pairing is the most popular, i have come across several accounts about these pairings with high followers number. differences between kr shippers and int shippers hmh... i think i'm gonna have to list it out (but first of all i would like this ask not being screencapped or repost anywhere ty ;-;)• the names for pairings. in the kr fandom, a pairing between 2 members has 2 different names depending on who's top and who's bottom. for example, taekook = kookv (top kook, bottom tae) or vkook (top tae, bottom kook). saying you ship kookv or vkook basically means saying you like bottom v top k or bottom k top v. it's... quite important lol, especially when the kookv fandom and the vkook fandom clash quite often (don't know why but it seems to be there already even before i join the fandom lol). btw i ship kookv but i'm fine with vkook either, i just don't read bottom kook fics.• still about the names for pairings, the common names for pairings in the kr fandom are sometimes different from the ones int fandom uses. namjin is more commonly referred to as "rapjin" (랩진) or "jinrap" (진랩) (again, depending on who's top and bottom lmao). taekook is "kookv" (국뷔) or "vkook" (뷔국). yoonmin is "sujim" (슈짐) or [...] (i don't know i hardly see anyone who ships top jm bottom yg....). jikook is "kookmin" (국민) or "jikook" (i guess...? again most people i see ship top kook bottom jm). lots of people ship member x all (like all jin or all v), and some ship more than 1 pairing of a member but that member is bottom (like vottom for example, vottom = v bottom).• kr fans whose twitter accounts mention pairings will have an "rps + name of pairing" in their bios. it's like a pre-warning so people can know that they do talk about pairings and can choose to not follow if it makes them uncomfortable. this i think int fans do too, i don't keep track with the int fandom activities so...• kr fandom is normally extremely careful when talking about pairings on sns (or at least those i follow). they don't reply to bts' tweets when there's a moment of their otp there. for example, that recent selfie of taekook after 186492648374 years, the replies in korean would be like "take care, don't catch a cold" or "so cute" while the replies in english, well, you'll easily see sth like "OMG BOYFRIENDS" or "YOU TWO ARE MARRIED"... kr shippers use modificated versions of the members' names to avoid having their tweets appearing in the search results in case bts search for their names (it's called 써방 and i talked about this once) and the list of 써방 we can use is getting shorter because jimin and hoseok have used quite a lot of common 써방... • the int fandom has fanfiction sites like ao3 or aff where you can find tons of fics in one place, while in the kr fandom, fics are posted separately in each writer's blog or site, which makes it a little difficult to discover new fics but that's okay because i only read kr fics from my fav writers lolso far there's only this much i can remember... a warning again that this might not apply to all ships because most of my timeline are kv and nj so lol
