the thing about Izutsumi is that if you read the manga first she's actually in it longer than she isn't, and so by the end you kinda forget she just wasn't there for the entire first arc and it feels weird to go back and see this story presented like there's just three people in the main cast and not four

I have to say that Lokius does have a different vibe from your regular queerbait scenario because Loki is a canon fluid queer who said that he has dated princes and princesses. So there is a higher chance of canon lokius than the shows where these characters are typically canon straights. Even the creators have to be aware of that extra layer.
