lmao i had to unfollow a mclaren moot because they took the "twink" thing to an extreme and were pointing out how he's just oscar's little twink and would always be fragile and small instead of big and strong and fit like "broadscar" and i really just had to. 🤦‍♀️ fit? FIT? lando was the only driver not on the brink of fainting after qatar, not everything in f1 is about how "broad" and "muscular" you seem. i wanted to give the benefit of doubt at first but when the fetishizing gay relationships turned into pushing these bodyshaming stereotypes onto a literal professional athlete i was out.

i mean its so wild bc half of them seem to give the twink descriptor to both drivers and half specifically pin it on lando because hes smaller than oscar & make it into a whole Dynamic of lando being sooo toppable or whatever. which just shows that there isnt actually any weight to 'twinklaren' at all and it rly is meaningless, bc surely if it was clear cut and obvious these differences wouldnt exist ykwim? like its just about what serves their fandom purpose in that moment

idk i think as much as the term broadscar is unfortunately quite funny to me, f1 fandom discussions abt weight and bodies r kind of bound to become problematic (real sense not 2014 tumblr sense) bc of the requirements of the sport. the way lewis has said that hes not allowed to bulk up because it would make his weight balance too lopsided (as a side note u guys do not know how ready i am for post retirement bicep BEAST lewis hamilton. the only way im gonna survive him retiring) etc like its not just about appearance for them.

in terms of how lando is fit like ur 100% right - stuff like qatar shows that he (and jon) has been doing his due diligence w preparing for these conditions. u can also just see in that last quadrant video how hes obviously very physically fit and ready for the season. its just that bodies have natural differences between them - oscar is genetically taller, lando is genetically more flexible; oscar is naturally broader around his arms, lando is naturally broader around his back, etc. and its not necessarily an issue to point these things out or even joke about them (when ppl say daniel's got birthing hips it still makes me laugh and its been years since i first heard it) but at some point it does start to show a fundamental misunderstanding of what f1 drivers do. like do i need to pull up the real sweat im a high performance athlete clip or what

so thats on the body stuff. re: the twink stuff i think the reason it rubs me, you, many ppl wrong even before we consciously realise it is like. a twink is a type - not just a body type, a *type*. in the gay male* community, you identify yourself as a twink (or bear, otter, etc) because some people are particularly attracted to twinks, bc they have a type. then obviously because the gay community is way more than just sexual attraction & has a lot of cultural capital, the term twink gained connotations and cultural history etc and grew past that. but the origins are still very much in gay male* attraction. so now that the term has become accessible to ppl who arent in that community, and therefore arent *participating*, identifying someone by their physical characteristics (and maybe implied penetrative sex preference) no longer has the subtext of appeal, but of derision. because no longer is it implied that everyone involved is a gay man*, which means calling someone a twink also implicitly calls them gay. and i think 'twink' specifically gained traction compared to other types also bc of its association w femininity in one's physical appearance - which, again, ur just derogatorily calling someone feminine and gay. even if, say, ur a member of the lgbt community who isn't a gay man*, it still carries the subtext - like anon u completely correctly identified the condescending undertones of whoever ur talking about. which is why i say we should just bring back fag #justsayfag

I think I can write a really funny string of dialogue, and I'm also fond of fun metaphors, both in the elegant poetic way and in the more Douglas Adams/Terry Pratchett way (which is to say, still potentially elegant but also comedic as hell)

Motivating myself to write anything; being overly self-indulgent

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fics?

I'm extremely bad at linguistics in general, so if I must include someone talking in another language in my fic, I think I'd tend to cheat and do italics or some other indication that this is 'in another language' (ie "Where are you going?" she asked in Russian), but that's admittedly a lazy approach. But I also think it's probably better than butchering it with an auto-translator? Also, when people just include the translation in the end notes, even with a link (although that makes it marginally better) it breaks the flow of the story and makes it hard to read. Making an effort to at least match grammar is good (which I would do if it was for longer than a single scene, probably) but I think the best solution is when people know what they're doing and like, have an actual translation with a little html code so you can click on it and it reveals what it means? Or if you're clever, revealing what it means using context around it, but that has its own limitations. So that both like, uses the actual language and doesn't break up the flow. It balances accessibility, flow, and respect for the other language in question well. But you've got to both know what you're doing with the language (either asking someone/hiring someone/knowing the language yourself) and the html (although there are guides for that you'd have to spend time figuring it out + know it exists in the first place to look). And this is fanfiction, something we ultimately do for free in our spare time, so the lazy approach, I think, can be understandable. Maybe not in every context, but it's not worth stressing a lot over in a few random lines or anything, you know? It is really cool when people do know a language well enough to include it properly in a fic, though, it can say a lot about a character or dynamic; and their background(s) and like. it's neat :)

Hello all you may remember me from such bangers as 'show me the proxies in marble hornets' and 'and another thing'

oday um here to talk about how we've fucking regressed as a fandom since creepypasta and marble hornets on ao3 got. presumably merged as a fandom tags bc sorting for exclude crossovers still shows creepypasta fic. in fact doing that just now to confirm this, the very first fic on the list was creepypasta.

so obviously this is a huge pain in the ass for anyone who wants marble hornets fanfic and only marble hornets fanfic. you cant even remove creepypasta fics with exclude crossover, youd have to do it manually with filtering options not everyone knows how to use. and we shouldnt have to yknow? you should be able to go in your fandom tag on ao3 and find only that fandom and crossovers (which should be easily filtered out by exclude crossovers) same as here on tumblr crosstagging is a huge issue but the worst part of it is that the continuous crosstagging in recent years has caused the fandom tags to be merged (not fully as shown by the fact that the numbers for amount of fic in each tag is different) but enough that they're considered the same universe by ao3 which is. blatantly untrue.

creepypasta is a catchall term for internet short stories made by a community, marble hornets is one single webseries online. fuck the creepypasta fandom wouldnt be what it is without huge swaths of shit stolen from marble hornets (like yknow, the pages, the operator symbol, masky and hoodie) but that doesnt mean they are marble hornets fans that doesnt mean theyre making marble hornets content. that would be like saying that since fnaf and batim are kinda similar and the fans have an overlap that means theyre the same and should be tagged the same. they arent, and shouldnt be yknow?

that not withstanding its fucking depressing. this did not used to be an issue. thr only fics tagged with both were generally easy to ignore or a real honest to god crossover, but now i swear you look at the mh tag on ao3 and the majority of the recent fics are crosstagged crp fics with giant tag lists that tack up the whole page and tag anyone who is so much as mentioned

and maybe this is a step too far here. but i really think this is bc of tiktok. the people crosstagging posts and fics seem to be the same type to complain avout the 'ao3/tumblr algorithm' not favoring them. but there is no algorithm, just annoyed fans who have to dig for their actual content because people dont have common decency anymore. theres an etiquette you need to follow for shit like this. like how would you feel if like. i dunno. fucking... genshin (just an example of a large fandom or whatever made a character cameo out of like jeff the killer and suddenly all the crp tags were filled with genshin posts not even related to or barely mentioning the character, just ti try and get more clicks?

considering making my very first sideblog specifically for byomkesh bakshi related stuff. try to start a fandom for it. ill share any fics that are published on ao3, reblog any and all art, that sort of thing.

the problem is actually like KICKSTARTING a whole damn community. i have scoured multiple social media sites, and the only place that even remotely has any Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! fans is twitter, which is just disappointing (and it's not really a fandom, just people ocassionally mentioning how underrated it is).

it's such a gem and i really want to share it with everyone. you can literally watch it on amazon prime with english subtitles, they're excellent. tumblr would absolutely love byomkesh and anguri, specifically. also byomkesh/ajit for life, they're the most gay for each other anyone can be, i love them so much.

please, if you have a couple hours to spare, watch it. you won't regret it. maybe even write a short oneshot or draw some art for it. it deserves it.

i think in this day and age, people should really broaden their horizons and expose themselves to many different cultures through media. i mean, ive never met anyone my age who says they like bollywood movies, not once. and yes, ive certainly had a hard time finding where to watch bollywood movies myself (other than byomkesh ofc), but i think it's most definitely worth the effort.

for instance, another one of my favorite movies is Boy & the World (or O Menino e o Mundo). it's a 2013 brazilian animated film that has no spoken dialogue other than very rare backwards portuguese. it's about a young boy exploring a world that is being torn apart by capitalistic, evil corporations and the beauty of community & defiance in the face of oppression. i found this movie through my art history textbook. now, that movie does have a few fanart pieces on here (including my own!), but the number is very small. this movie literally gave me the spark of inspiration that made me realize what my big fantasy series is going to be about. it's such an important movie for this day and age, but people don't watch it because... they only ever watch western media.

in any case, my point is that EVERYONE should EXPAND THEIR HORIZONS and watch more stuff that ISN'T MADE BY WESTERN STUDIOS. there's a lot of cool stuff out there that you're missing.

Hey, I just wanna say that I think average people could tell it was a joke. I (a neurodivergent person) could tell it was a joke even with no tone indicators or anything. I think usually people genuinely threatening violence phrase it in a less funny way. The phrase “gutted like a fish” just sounds funny. I’m sorry the fandom has been so terrible to you. I know people are upset and emotional about the ending but this is really ridiculous. I know you feel bad about it and I saw you make some posts beating yourself up but I need you to know it’s gonna be alright. You might want to talk to @mossy-beehive since they also had some people harassing them over an ask they sent to Neil Gaiman. (I’m not them, I just saw that you two were dealing with similar stuff and thought you might have something to discuss) Also keep in mind what Neil said about how he clears out any genuinely bad things in his inbox. He knew it was a joke, it’s not your fault people are being actually terrible to you about it. Take care buddy, sending you hugs :)

Since getting backlash on it i took a hiatus and am coming back a lot less scared and stressed about it now. Ive cone to the understanding that most people including neil himself did see it as a joke and find it funny, but a small minority of the good omens fandom, which i am a part of, didnt manage to pick up on that depsite the buffers i put in there to make that clear(leaving the typo in, using such a silly phrase, leaving my url in there). I think the general enviroment on tumblrs become a bit more agressive because of the amount of people whos come from twitter back here with a "thou shall be cancelled" approach so some people were just generally looking for bad context where there wasnt any. Others just seemed to be the mimority that didnt realise it was a joke and are either too young or dont have the internet eticate to realise that dogpiling on the behalf of an adult millionaire isnt generally acceptable behaviour, but im at peace with that. Suffice to say though i probably wont be sending neil any asks in the future, nor will be interact with people i dont know in their ask box unless i can make it very clear whats a joke and what isnt.

Tbh i was going back and forth and which should be here bc I didn't wanna put 2 pieces from the same doll in 2 spots, but i think this spot fits them both bc i like them for largely the same reasons- they look good with a lot of my other dolls (not jist RH but a couple of my ooak monster highs) and they're pieces I'd want irl. Ive been trying to get my hands on some boots that are close enough to doc martens (even if they arent bc if they look cool idgaf abt the actual brand) and i got pretty close at a thrift store, but they were one size too small 😔 anyway good pieces. 4. Sheryl's jacket

Hot (or possibly cold idk) take I don't think there's a single bad piece in either of Sheryl's outfits. They're all perfect. I have not yet seen clueless but its been in my "movies i need to watch over quarantine" list that i made in april 2020 since the beginning and i think this is a sign to watch it. 1) YEAAAAAHHHHHH LEONA WOOOOOO Love all of your leona fics, they are so, so good!!! Silly lion man, love him. you write him super well too!!!!! 2) Enstars. ive had “come on baby america” stuck im my head for around 5 days now (thanks to my friends on discord- thanks a lot roblox hq.) 3) Yes okay thanks for pointing out the crossed out demon on Yu’s intro sheet!! Both of his parents are demons, (mother((Emiriko)) is a water demon, basically demons specifically adapted to living both on water and on land. father((Luka)) is a fire demon, adapted to living in lava and extremely hot places.) so it doesn’t really make sense for him not to be one. Instead, he uses potions (specifically made to not leave a magic scent/residue on the user) To hide his demon appearance, mainly his horns and tail, since its harder to hide those, however said potions do hide the rest of his demon features really well! (fangs, ears((which are normally like small elf ears and tipped in dark gray and black.)), etc.) i could talk all day about my boy, but for now im just gonna leave you with this.

1 - I'M GLAD YOU ENJOYED THE LEONA FIC !! it was also such a blast for me to write >:DD and that's...that's actually really touching :')) i'm kinda surprised that you fell for leona because of my fics and ahh saying that makes it sound unreal again-

but i can understand why some ppl choose to portray leona as someone who's just plain mean and lazy. bc that's exactly how he comes off. even after his overblot, he doesn't quite get the same wake up call that the others got. he didn't get the scolding like riddle, he didn't get the fact that his friends would always be there like azul did, and he most certainly didn't get the same emotional release that jamil. chapter 2's writing isn't the best twst writing out there, so it's easy to dismiss his character as just what he appears as. his flashback does give us some background on why he puts up such a mean and lazy front despite having potential, but well...some creators might prefer for him just to be that. i'm not here to critique them on how they portray him but it does make me kinda :') when i see that ppl don't like leona as much bc of stuff they've read around the fandom or bc they judge him too quick. n e ways enough abt leona we alr know how whipped i am for him-

so uhh we sorta need to talk.. so.. i made one tiny little post in my tiny little hate blog that is currently shadowbanned (ffs!) abt how i feel regarding the "line up". it wasnt tagged. it didnt even have company name in it. its not like i tagged them on tw*tter and used obscene vocabulary (which while we are at it is fine in my book). STILL ppl feel the need to tell me where im wrong. like y kno i actually dont care, im gonna feel my feels, its not about wrong and right. BUT since ive been poked and tumblr only allows me to talk to myself, lets dig into it:

-- they are a small company. sure they are, then maybe they should behave like one? they could have announced that 4 (but actually 2 if we are being serious) shows via tw*tter. there was zero need to make a "line up" like "big" companies do. there was zero need to say multiple times that "we have so many projects for you, soooo many, like sooooo soooooo soooooo many" and then its like 2.5 shows. you gotta manage viewers expectations - if its 2.5 projects say we have "some exciting projects for you next year"

--the actors need to rest. sure they do, but theres 16+ ppl (idec to check how many now) and only 6 are given lead roles, looks like a lot of ppl gonna have a lot of rest.. and i wasnt even talking about ma, but ppl automatically assumed that it was abt them when actually i could care less. if you wanna play with big boys, you gotta have more than 2.5 shows in a year, if not - see above

--they dont have rights to kp. okay, lets assume that. BUT they do KNOW ppl are expecting it, managing expectations remember. and they could have managed this whole situations better, but they are so bad at communicating with the fandom, idk why ppl on this hellsite dont want to admit it

This turned into all my thoughts. 

So like. First off, it’s all fun and games. We’re all just joking and joshing and projecting here on destiel dot tumblr dot com and Jupernatural is not an exception in a lot of ways. And so when someone shits on what we’re doing here (yes, even unintentionally) what you get is what happened: oh you think you’re funny well I’m about to be hilarious!!! aka I’m gonna do it even more now out of spite specifically because you said not to. Like it really is all jokes but also you know what’s not a joke? Antisemitism in all its forms, even the casual shit! It’s really draining and it builds up in your veins!! Just. Yeah. You saw a lot of people talking about it today in particular because much like other topics of the day, one thing kicks off a whole other turn of events. So like. one misguided comment that’s playfully antisemitic and then one more little one, and then one big/obvious one launched us (Jewish spn fans) into a whole bigger discussion about antisemitism and erasure of Jews in the spn fandom writ large. It’s one thing to be descriptive, offer a headcanon/what if, or employ a certain mode of analysis. It’s another thing to definitively say This Is The Truth, specifically when to do so overrides something else, especially in this case when what’s being overridden is Jews, an ethnoreligious minority. It’s also another thing to talk over Jews. And mind this has been building for days. Not in a bad way just like, it’s been topical for days and then today one big thing pushed it over the edge to us actually posting abt it (partially bc at that point it’s a pattern, which feels like it needs to be addressed). Like, destiel tumblr is small we pretty much all see all the same posts, and then Jewish spn fans… we’re friends, we chat about life? We joke around together, y’know? If you’re being antisemitic (yes, even unintentionally) we’re all gonna hear abt it. It’s how we stay safe or in this case, curate the online exp.

That being said tho projecting on fiction is like fun and even a good thing at times, and def opens up new modes of analysis. But! the other big thing here is that there IS a LOT of evidence for a Jewish reading of spn, in a lot of ways, and particularly if you know what to look for. Like there’s lots of niche Jewish slang (non-Jews just don’t know these things, and that is a reflection primarily of the writers but once you put it in the script it implies things about the characters too of course), the theology of the early seasons (I’ll get to that in a second), main character motivations (hold on), “Moishe Campbell” implying Mary is (and therefore Sam and Dean are) Jewish, etc. 

It’s not surprising to me or anything that non-Jews don’t catch anything/everything Jewish about spn but that Jews catch both sides of it, because that’s just how being part of a marginalized group works. You learn about your own stuff AND the dominant culture’s stuff because that’s how you survive (socially, psychologically, literally). Members of the dominant culture don’t need to learn the marginalized one, are never confronted with it, and so they just.. don’t. I don’t even mean that in a normative or accusatory way, that’s just an observation on the state of things. Non-Jews who aren’t part of another marginalized religion, aka expressed xtians and cultural xtians, have a ton of misconceptions about Judaism, for example, “Jesus was Jewish” and not, “Jesus was an asshole of an apostate who made life harder for Jews at the time in a myriad of ways and whose movement has had a lasting negative impact on world Jewry (and other peoples) for the ensuing millenia”. I truly Don’t Have Time right now to get into the varied and intense history of antisemitism in all its forms but. the point I’m making here is that I’m not shocked I need to explain that life experience shapes your worldview?? So if you’re Jewish you’re always gonna be living life through that version of the world and it does impact you?? Same as anything else?? As unwell as they may be, spn writers aren’t exempt from that. Jewish people writing about xtianity are doing so thru a primarily Jewish understanding and vice versa. Jews can (and did!) write about xtian lore but in a Jewish way! Some core Jewish themes: wrestling with angels/G-d, questioning G-d, IF there’s a G-d they will have to beg MY forgiveness, the afterlife isn’t really a big thing so all that matters is your time on earth, make amends to others directly and thru your actions rather than seeking absolution with G-d, you are not obligated to complete the work nor may you abandon it, etc… So that’s the other reasoning why we say “spn is Jewish” based solely on it being written by Jews. Rather than Death of The Author, let’s look at what the author has imbued the story with, both intentionally and unintentionally. And re: Chuck and idolatry… I don’t even know where to start with the way you phrased this but. the Jewish Spn Writers of Note are apparently Kripke, Gamble, and Edlund. All of whom stopped writing for the show years before the Chuck Is God plot! 

Like yes it feels very stupid to be writing a thousand words on antisemitism and supernatural but like. this is a spn blog run by a Jew so. This whole thing is also just the same every time. This is very representative of typical casual antisemitism.

How Zutara Should’ve Happened (my take anyways, if Zuko still joined the Gaang in Season Three)

Alright, so I’m a Zutara shipper. Anyways, here’s my rant of the day.

So, if Zutara were to be cannon, let’s say that we wouldn’t change the cannon, other than that. Also full disclaimer, I don’t really like Kataang. It’s cute, and sweet, buuuut I think that they would be better off single or with other people. I personally ship Taang so much-

When I first watched it, I really wanted Katara to end up single. I thought that would be a fitting ending for her story. But hey, she didn’t, and that’s fine.

This is not an anti Kataang post, seriously. If you ship it, cool, I don’t, but everyone had different opinions. Just please don’t come to my inbox and yell at me.

So, if we weren’t gonna change the cannon, Zuko still joins in season three and all. Katara and him would still have a rocky relationship at first, and for good reason, I mean wtf Zuko what happened at the CoTL?

Anyways-

What I would think is that Katara couldn’t help but notice how Zuko is trying to gain their, and her trust. I mean, she’s pissed but still, she notices. It doesn’t make her forgive him or anything, and it shouldn’t, but she does see it.

Now, I’m thinking little moments. Like when he shoved her out of the way of the falling rocks? Yeah, she still snaps at him, but maybe after she’s a little less fiery. Just a bit.

And then after TSR, things start to change. Of course, we get the iconic hug, but!! I want another scene, when they’re coming back from the trip.

One thing that always bothers me when I read Zutara stuff is that writers rarely address Zukos betrayal in TCoTL. Like,,, maybe I haven’t read the right fanfics but c’mon guys.

I really think, no, I know that Katara and Zuko should address that. I really want a scene, when they’re coming back, while Katara is sorting out whether to forgive him or not, I want them to talk about it. And sorry if it’s OOC- But Like so:

Katara: Why did you do it?

Zuko: ...do what?

Katara: Why did you fight with Azula? I thought you changed, I thought you would’ve fought with us.

Zuko: I-

[ a moment of quiet]

Zuko: I thought about it, and I almost did-

Katara: [turns around to face him] Then why didn’t you? Why did you choose that?

Zuko: I wanted my honor. I wanted to go home, and I thought- I though that if I fought with her, I could get my honor back.

[Katara doesn’t answer.]

Zuko: But Im sorry. I am.

Katara, quietly: I thought you changed...

Zuko: I have, now, I mean.

Katara: Why was your honor so important to you anyways? And what do you mean by ‘wanted to go home’?

Zuko: I- I was banished. Until I found the Avatar, I couldn’t go back.

[Katara turns, studying him, then turns back around]

Katara: ...You couldn’t go back, ever?

Zuko: No.

[She doesn’t speak after that, and neither does he.]

Okay, so maybe that was too OOC, but they did need to have a conversation something like that. A conversation where Zuko explained, at least a bit about why he fought with Azula.

And then, after that, the hug and forgiveness. But that was a turning point in their relationship, and I don’t like that so little fic writers address that.

And then!! I want little moments. Just small moments, maybe a bit more teasing, a bit more concern on Kataras part.

Also, let’s face it: Zuko would be simping. Katara wouldn’t be lovey dovey, no, she wouldn’t. Zuko would be the simp, Zuko would be the one stuttering slightly at teasing and stuff.

Just little moments, nothing big bc c’mon, they’re kids. They’re teenagers in the belp middle of a war.

Speaking of which! I really want one more scene between them. After Aangs noncon kiss in the Ember Island Players, I want there to be a scene where Zuko finds Katara and she vents to him.

Also I’ve been losing my damn mind trying to find a gif series for that bc someone on Tumblr made it and I can’t find it- fkdndd

Okay, but along with a huge chunk of the fandom, it really makes me mad that they didn’t show more of Kataras reaction, and that Aang didn’t apologize. Like wtf Aang.

I would’ve been fine with anyone coming to Katara, or telling Aang that was wrong but- Didn’t happen. They just glossed over that part smh.

But! Say Zuko were to come and talk with her about it. And then at the end, he might ask her why she was confused, Maybe something like this:

Zuko: If you don’t mind, why are you so confused?

Katara: I don’t know! But it’s in the middle of war. It isn’t over, and now isn’t the time for... for romance.

Zuko: But that doesn’t mean that you can’t be happy. I mean, look at Sokka.

Katara: I’m not Sokka.

[They both go quiet for a minute]

Katara: Sorry, Im just... It’s too much to deal with right now, and we have to focus on ending the war.

Zuko: No, I get that. It’s fine.

Katara: I’m just- I’m confused, and now isn’t the time and-

[She pauses, and the two look at each other for a moment. All is quiet.]

Zuko: I.. can go, if you want. If you need some space.

Katara: Yeah, that would probably help.

[Zuko walks away. As he does, Katara is staring at his back, a thoughtful expression on her face]

Yes, yes, I think that would make sense in the romance line. Mirroring when Zuko was staring at Kataras back.

Alright, so everything would be same, up to Katara healing Zuko after the Agni Kai. But there would be subtle differences. She takes his hand and holds it instead of putting her hand on his back. No big “I love you” or whatever. Just holds his hand, and maybe a line like “We- I could’ve lost you!” Maybe.

And then! One last thing, instead of that long Kataang kiss at the end, a scene between Katara and Zuko, talking about their futures.

I’m a really big fan of Water Tribe Ambassador Katara, and it shows.

Katara: So.. Fire Lord Zuko, huh? Finally regained your honor?

Zuko: [groans] Yes, now stop it.

Katara: [laughs] Nope, never gonna stop.

[Theres a minute of quiet]

Zuko: And what about you? Are you going back to the SWT?

Katara: I am. The Northern and Southern tribes... they need to connect again, not become one, but the connection was frayed with the war, and someone has to take a step to rebuild it.

Zuko: What about the Air Temples?

Katara: That’s up to Aang. I’ll help him of course, we all will, but he’s the last air bender. He’ll take care of them, like I’ll take care of the Water tribes.

Zuko: With Sokka too, I’m guessing.

Katara: I don’t know about that, actually. Sokka may want to travel a bit, scope out the world.

Zuko: And you don’t?

Katara: I do, and I will. Sokka and I, regardless of whatever travel, we’ll work together to take care of the tribes.

Zuko: [chuckles] And I’ll be here. I’m going to try to undo the damage the war did. Open up relations again in the Earth Kingdom, sort out the colonies.

Katara: Don’t overwork yourself.

Zuko: You shouldn’t either.

[She laughs, and stops in front of the pond, looking at the turtle ducks]

Katara: Zuko..

Zuko: What?

Katara: [turns to face him] We... went through a lot. And I have something that I need to tell you.

Zuko, sweating slightly: ..yes?

Katara: Relax, it’s nothing bad!

Katara: I..

[Katara takes his hand and smiles. Zukos eyes widen and he looks down at their hands]

Katara: Well?

[Zuko looks back up and smiles at her.]

Zuko: You’re going to visit sometime, right?

Katara: Course I will.

[He smiles again, and intertwines their fingers. It’s quiet once more, then off in the distance, Sokka yells something]

Katara: [laughs] Now c’mon, your Honor. Let’s go.

[She pulls Zuko down the path towards their friends, and all their laughter can be heard. The End comes up, and the credits roll]

So!!

No big ily confession, no long kiss. Why? Because they’re kids. They’re fourteen and sixteen, there shouldnt be an ily, there shouldn’t be an uncomfortably long kiss.

Later, of course. But now? Let’s them just hold hands and tease each other and relax a bit.

After seeing the chat between simeon and lucifer called 'brothers no more' I started to question a lot of shit. I have a few things I would like to discuss with the small part of the fandom thats on tumblr about this, including

Why didn't simeon fall after the war?

Was simeon the older sibling?

Did simeon even know about lilith having a boyfriend in the human world?

I'll put it under the cut as I feel this is gonna be a long ass post, I wish I could say this is all random thoughts but I've been sat on this for at least a week and I had to re write it all as I accidentally deleted it 😃👍

Ok so we know that lucifer mammon leviathan asmodeus beelzebub and belphegor fell from grace, out of all the siblings only 6 of them went from angel to demon, lilith died straight after the fall so even if she did gain a demon form she was only in it for a few minutes tops before she was made human and satan was born around the same time lilith died.

My first area of confusion is lilith being made a human, was she reincarnated as a random baby somewhere or did she just show up as a fully grown woman in the human world? Because if she ends up as a fully grown woman then she can be with her boyfriend but there's no human records of her birth, she just wouldn't exist on any documents or have any identification, so she has no certificate of birth or anything like that which could potentially cause issues for her, not to mention the fact that she wouldn't have any childhood memories, how would her boyfriend react to his girlfriend loosing her memories? What if her boyfriend didn't actually make it and died? Obviously we know she had a family as mc is her descendant but whos to say the og boyfriend was the baby daddy? if she was reincarnated as a baby somewhere then there would be proof of her birth and she would live a normal life but then her boyfriend would be alone unless he did die, that gives lilith the ability to live a normal human life and as she has no memories of being an angel she probably wouldn't remember the boyfriend and/or his death, a win/win situation unless you're the dead boyfriend

And simeon, the chat name for him and lucifer is called 'brothers no more' as simeon was one of the brothers up in the celestial realm so you'd have

Making the assumption that diavolo, lucifer, simeon and possibly barbatos (still baffled over barb never being a child like tf) all being a similar age simeon could well have been the eldest of the 8 or maybe even twins with lucifer. If lucifer was the second eldest up in the celestial realm imagine how hard it would've been on him mentally to fall from grace and bring his younger siblings with him, eventhough I myself am the middle child I don't really rely on my older brother and sister too much as we don't have the strongest bond and i have the childhood trauma in my family and none of my siblings do. If I was to do something rebellious and my 3 younger siblings were to follow me and suffer the same consequences id obviously feel like I'd fucked up and so does lucifer. However if I was to do that and my older siblings were to not do what I did id feel like I shoudlve been more like them and that I clearly wasn't as smart as my older siblings.

It only makes sense for lucifer to compare himself to simeon regardless of the fact they were family, they were once the same but lucifer can't bare to see what life could've been like if he had stayed an angel, going off the assumption that simeon was the eldest imagine how bad he would feel knowing that his seven younger siblings fell and he stayed in heaven where he was safe. Surely he would feel like he had failed as an older brother.

Which brings me to the point of why didn't simeon fall? He clearly loves lucifer and his brothers as much as the other brothers love lucifer so why didn't he fall with them? Lucifer was forcibly sent out of heaven but mammon,levi,asmo,beel and belphie chose to follow him so why didn't simeon too? Simeon must have had some important reason to stay in the celestial realm, maybe he's more important than he let's on and him leaving would've caused chaos or maybe he knew that they'd all be fine together and decided to stay in the celestial realm so that they had a friendly face if they ever had to return there, if angels go to the devildom who's to day demons won't go to the celestial realm, a friendly face would be needed as like luke has done other angels would probably be disgusted at the sight of lucifer and his brothers after they 'betrayed' their father, if they were to return there's no guaranteeing their safety up there.

Or maybe simeon had the opportunity to fall but decided that he didn't deserve to be reunited with his brothers, he punished himself for being absent in the battle by isolating himself in the celestial realm, and as he's their brother im sure other angels would've had something to say to him or thought that any day he would do the same thing they did.

Its shown that the brothers went to see liliths boyfriend but simeom wasn't there, did simeon even know that she had a boyfriend? Maybe that's why he didn't fight, if he didn't know what was happening then you wouldn't pick a side until you know both sides of the story

Lucifer is always giving simeon the cold shoulder as it seems he doesn't want to have a relationship with him anymore and with the chat when simeon offers to pat lucifer on the head which tends to be the older sibling patting the younger one, after simeon refused to follow lucifer lost all respect for him

the portrayal of sotha sil in it had a lot of potential - im not at all opposed to sotha sil being well-meaning but extremely arrogant pretentious and blinded by his own selfish, sheltered approach, that caused him to create a technological dystopia he deemed a paradise. all of the almsivi are extremely flawed and i think thats what makes them cool, truly human gods, and that in itself couldve been really really interesting, however unfortunately it was played so strangely, like... straightfowardly? in a "he's right" way. like the player is somehow Not supposed to find him insufferable. the Manpain Garden (which btw people have been yelled at for calling it that) really did it for me, like, oh no, a woman called him boring and distant one time, how tragic. like hes supposed to be the Good Guy of the tribunal as opposed to Mean Almalexia and Silly Vivec (both of which are such shallow and borderline offensive ways to characterize them too)

however i think what REALLY sucks is that they brought back divayth fyr and made him one of the main characters of the dlc. and look i know i say a lot that fictional bad people are funny but theres nothing funny about divayth fyr the incest pedo guy and i despise the way hes portrayed in eso and i despise everything surrounding it. eso twitter even made a fathers day joke about it but deleted it as soon as they rightly realized that it was kinda fucked up

for the above reasons eso:cwc caused a HUGE rift in tes fandom where some people criticized it and made fun of it and some people felt a strong attachment to it and felt slighted by that, plus not all people who learned about divayth fyr thru eso were initially aware of how he is in tes3 and reacted to such information in a range of ways, including but not limited to saying that actually people who like morrowind are evil and want such a despicable character to exist (im not even gonna start unpacking this) and are fucked up for not "rejecting" his tes3 portrayal to instead pretend hes just this cool quirky wizard. which, im not gonna delve into any individual persons, like, personal reasons to approach a character a certain way, but its beyond bizarre to make this kinda statement and act like its unreasonable to be repulsed by this whole ordeal

the rift this caused... pretty much ruined online tes fandom permanently. like there are just like two camps now, with Clockwork City DLC Enjoyers on twitter talking about how tesblr (aka everyone who disagrees with them) is elitist and mean and Scoffs At People Who Dont Know Enough Lore (all untrue but w/e), and that reaches completely new people as their first impression of the fandom, thus deepening the rift. it made a lot of major contributors completely check out, because not only did they feel excluded by all the new content, but also by the community. and mind you before all of that tesblr was like, not a terribly huge community, but an always-growing one, with lots of discussions and contributions and fan content and inside jokes, and i just dont really see that anymore aside from small circles of people still passionate about very specific topics, which i assume is where the impression of being Inaccessible and Closed Off comes from. lots of people became really disillusioned with tes in general and moved on to different stuff. there was some drama that dragged for literal years, lots of vagueposting, conflicts, it was just all like.... unpleasant.

so yeah theres a very active eso-focused community on twitter that i dont personally interact with because they all hate me and a handful of people on tumblr. so, kinda not what it used to be. well theres always also r/teslore and other tes subreddits, but lemme tell you when it comes to any video game related topics never go on reddit never go on reddit neeeever go on reddit never go on reddit neeeever go on reddit never go on reddit, neeeever go on reddit wow wow wowwoowww

E- Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what?

Technically I’ve done this twice, one was just mainly on a Discord server. But um a couple of months ago (you may remember this Kazzy) I showed the Bandstand fandom Kazoostand and then preceded to DM two of the cast members it after Tumblr said so. I was ignored by one and left on read by the other (I don’t blame them)

And then there were the catboys…

Also in the Bandstand fandom, which is very small as it is and I’m pretty sure a lot of the Tumblr tag now is just me and mine nonsense.

F- What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?

Umm that’s a tricky one. I tend to get super into a fandom for a good year, then sort of lessen my- for a lack of a better word- addiction to it but still like it. The first fandom I was probably ever in was the Attack on Titian fandom and I still like it still watch it sometimes, so maybe like 7? 8? Years? It’s the first fandom I can really remember getting into so yeah something like that

Well there’s just so many things I can say about so many people!

First off, Kazzy, you are the nicest, sweetest person ever. You’ve blessed us with gems like Who’s Whosies. I love all your TTS artwork is all so beautiful.

@the-cowbi (I’m really sorry for tagging you) makes absolutely gorgeous moodboads and drawings about his Newsies OC and just for Newsies and Bonnie and Clyde.

daydreaming-optimist (I’m not going to tag them because I’m kind of terrified of them but in a good way because they’re a beautiful snazzy blog and I don’t want to bother them) also makes absolutely breathtaking gifs and moodboards for Bandstand and a bunch of other fandoms

Im never very good at writing AUs (no that’s a lie I have so many ideas but words just don’t work) but an I do 3 for 1 fandoms?

I have like so many ideas and stuff for Bandstand stuff and I have no one to talk to them about so I apologise I’m advance

because I’ve limited myself to one, im going to write a 5 page essay on this one fic I wrote but have never and will never finish. No I won’t actually. It was a like modern day/high school fic and basically the Gang™️ minus Julia find this like old snooky abandoned house and they think it’s haunted and decided to go in. It’s not haunted. But Davy and Johnny get the idea to scare the pants off of everyone and in then end they get arrested. Yeah that’s not very detailed but IT WAS A GOOD STORY

Another was like an origin story for how Davy and Nick meet because like Nick kinda like hates everyone and Davy seems like the kind of person high up on his hate list™️ so basically they meet before the war and when they’re both like young. Nick works at a bar, Davy drinks at a bar. I have now also just realised this won’t make a lot of sense without my other au which is how Nick and Wayne meet (and I know you have no idea who these characters are but all you need to know if they’re my children and I love them)

I know you're a big Levihan account, so I know you have a better understanding of what's going on. So im scrolling through the levihan hashtag (like I normally do), and apparently there's a argument going on about 136? I'm so lost. Also, why didn't anyone talk about it when the chapter came out. Why wait till now? (Sorry if it's a lot!)

Yes. I’m. big. on. Levihan. I’m literally Levihan trash. Like check out the title on my Tumblr. I aint changing that soon.

I started this account to create more content for Levihan after 132 to scour through levihan content while mourning the death of our commander. And can I say, this community is just incredibly small and I feel like this certain need, this duty and this desire to provide more content for this small Levihan community because imo, Levi and Hange are the two purest people in AOT (because really when have those two weirdos ever acted on personal desire) and their ship is just pure goodness. And I wanna spread the goodness because there is so much one can learn about relationships just by how Levihan developed (?) Like I wrote about it a long time ago. Check it out here.

But I know shipping wars have been total shit and for some reason Levihan has been taking the brunt of all the hate? Like apparently there are points where Ereri and Eruri fans gang up against Levihan fans on twitter and I see a lot of my mutuals getting random anonymous messages about how Eruri and Ereri are canon while Levihan is not. 

Yo, we’re literally the disadvantaged ones here. I mean to give you a brief look on the situation on the actual numbers of the Levihan fandom...

Oh look at the Levihan fic numbers on AO3. Okay 1000 is a lot but let us consider the fact that not all these tags are Levihan-centric stories and some either put these tags there just to bash the relationship or just put them there as a side ship to Yumikuri or Eremika.

And let’s just compare that ship to this ship... (Which is still pretty good imo)

Okay I know I’m digressing because that’s not the question... But yeah I think the stuff I mentioned above could give some context on this shipping war. 

Disclaimer: I’ve stayed out of Twitter so I don’t know how bad it can be but I’ve chatted up some people about it both on Tumblr and Twitter and I’m just gonna discuss this based on how I remember it.

So this panel up here started a whole ship war apparently because eruri stans say “Levi was only talking about Erwin,” while Levihan stans were saying “Levi was talking about both Hange and Erwin.” 

(Personal interpretation:  Levi was talking about the whole survey corps.)

I have no idea what was going through the translators head when they were doing this but the translation is flawed. The ‘you’ is plural in the Japanese translation so Levi wasn’t just talking about Erwin. (You can read a more detailed break down on grammar here  Credits to @faerielleart for this.)

And this whole translation fiasco started a shipping war and as Levihan trash lemme give you some of my two cents in the matter. 

Levihan feels like the pure underdog of AOT ships. I don’t know why but for some reason, so many people are just looking for a reason to put down Levihan. I was talking about these with some moots last night and we were thinking if 126 and 132 happened with Levi and any other ship up there, everybody would be so eager to call Eren/Levi or Erwin/Levi canon but the moment we get it for some “unconventional” or “unpopular ship” suddenly “it’s just camaraderie” or “Hange’s just tired.” 

As if Eruri and Ereri had any more obvious crumbs similar to 126 and 132. (Sorry I’m just so tired of reading the antis hate on twitter. This is the closest I’ll go to a shipping war.) 

I stand by my theory that Yams is a Levihan shipper. He just couldn’t let them happen because a majority of people in the fandom would explode for reasons. I mean the manga hasn’t even ended but we already have people freaking out over the pronoun ‘you.’
