SR Grim - Apprentice Chef Vignette
"Let's keep on doing aaallll these fun things together"
Tumblr media
[Kitchen]
Grim: It's… It's…
Grim: IT'S DONEEEE!!
Grim: Look, [Yuu]! My super special awesome cake's finished!
The cake looks like a tuna can…
Grim: Yeah! I made it look like the most delicious thing in the world. See how even the word "tuna" looks good?
Grim: As for what I put inside the cake… That's a surprise for when we eat it! MYAHA!
Grim: I bet this is gonna be the bestest thing on the table. We gotta hurry and get it back to Ramshackle!
Tumblr media
[Ramshackle Dorm – Anniversary Party]
Grim: Slowly… Slowly…
Grim: Gently, gently… Careful…
We're almost back to the dorm, you got this!
Grim: Gah, carrying a cake so it doesn't collapse is so hard…!
Grim: …But all the guys we passed on the way here from the cafeteria said it totally looked tasty, yeah?
Grim: Y'know, maybe my genius ain't just in eatin' food, but makin' em, too.
Grim: Back when you and me took the Master Chef course, I thought all this work was a pain, but…
Grim: Now I'm thinkin' that it was good we did it. 'Cause now tasty things can be made into even tastier things!
Grim: Myahaha! Thanks to this cake, today's party's gonna be the cat's meow!
Grim: Ah! But that annoying guy Trein is gonna be there… He might get mad if I get too excited.
Grim: Maaan, he's always findin' things to nag me about. Like the other day, he tried scolding in me when I was runnin' in the halls.
Grim: It pissed me off, so I tried pokin' fun at him, but then he just came at me!
Grim: Obviously I ran, but that old man is faster than he looks…
Grim: And then he just caught me in no time, I wasn't expecting that. Just nabbed me by the neck.
Grim: "Try to be a bit more like Lucius," he said… But I ain't a cat, y'know!
Grim: Don't know if Trein snitched on me or what, but even Crewel got mad at me, saying "Stop causing problems."
Grim: But then Crewel whispered later, "If you're going to tease Trein-sensei, make sure you don't get caught."
Grim: Myahaha! Crewel might be a teacher, but sometimes he's got a wicked side. He gets me.
Grim: …Though, he can be a huge stickler if ya mess around in class or get bad grades.
Grim: I remember the other day was pretty scary. He had us all lined up in a row, and was grilling everyone on who spilled the chemicals on the table…
Grim: No one fessed up, and Ace and Deuce were silently keepin' their heads down, so I stayed quiet too.
Well, we all got held responsible, in the end.
Grim: Tch. Trein and Crewel are both way too strict!
Grim: I like Vargas's class the best. 'Cause I don't need to take difficult notes in his class!
Grim: Like the other day, he started going on and on, saying, "If you want to be a great mage, then you need to have muscles as rippling as mine!" or whatever…
Grim: I was just nodding along, and then class ended with just him talkin' about his own muscles. Myahaha, waaaay too easy~
Grim: …Hm? Wait a mo'.
Grim: Do you think… The reason that Vargas showed up here randomly one morning a few days ago to go exercise together…
Grim: DID HE THINK I WANTED TO TRAIN WITH HIM BECAUSE I WAS NODDING DURING ALL HIS BOASTING!?
Grim: The sun wasn't even up, it was still dark, so that was a real pain!!
Grim: …Man, I think I might like Crewel or Trein better after all, ‘cause they don't cause me problems.
Tumblr media
[Ramshackle Dorm – Anniversary Party]
Grim: Y'know, now that I think about it, all the profs here are really strange… Is this school really alright?
Grim: Oh. But I think the strangest guy ain't one of the teachers, but Sam. I'm sure of it!
Grim: And that's cause… Remember the other day when I lost at rock-paper-scissors and I had to go buy snacks by myself?
Grim: Before I even got inside the store, I heard Sam talkin' with someone inside.
Grim: But… When I got inside, he was all alone.
Grim: When I asked who he was chattin' with, he said his "friends on the other side," but… WHAT DOES HE MEAN FRIENDS ON THE OTHER SIDE!?
Grim: He wouldn't tell me no matter how many times I asked. It's so eerie. But man, he's got a ton of cool stuff for sale, so I keep going back.
Grim: I remember then, too, before I could say what I wanted, he already had out the perfect number of snacks I had money for.
Grim: Oh yeah, and Crowley came in the shop right after me. Looks like he's always shoppin' at the Mystery Shop, too.
Grim: He started braggin' to me that he gets to order whatever he wants.
Grim: So I told him I wanted some special tuna cans then, and he says, "This privilege is for teachers only!"
Grim: He just kept on bragging, he's the worst! Crowley's so useless!
We should be thankful, since he let us attend here.
Grim: THANKFUL!? He should be thanking me for gracing this school with my genius!
Grim: And I bet Crowley'd gobble down the whole feast we got prepped if I take my eye off him for even a second…
Grim: No way I'm gonna give him a single bite. This time I'll make sure he's jealous of me.
Grim: Hey, [Yuu]. You 'n me're gonna protect this cake with our lives!
Grim: I might not be able to rely on you to do everythin' yourself, so good things we also got those ghosts.
Grim: If all us Ramshackle folk work together, we could even take on two Crowleys. We'll stun him silent!
Grim: I bet the ghosts're feelin' real alive right now. They were really getting' excited for Founding Day.
Grim: They were all, "It's so wonderful everyone is throwing a party here at Ramshackle~"
Grim: They also said that everything's getting' amped up 'cause we came to Ramshackle.
Grim: Myahaha. So that means… All the fun and happy times are all thanks to me!
1. Exactly!
Grim: Yeah. So you just keep on following me, no worries. Grim: As the boss, it's my job to take care of my henchie!
2. I think you're going a little overboard there.
Grim: Myah!? Y-You… You don't get how good I am to ya, huh!? Grim: I'm always pushin' myself hard doin' things for ya. Like, uh… Uh… ALL SORTS OF THINGS!
Grim: So let's keep on doing aaallll these fun things together!
Grim: Ah. Looks like everyone's here.
Grim: Hey, [Yuu], open the gate. We gotta bring the cake in quick!
Grim: I bet everyone'll be so surprised and happy. Myahaha. I can't wait~!

And they were roommates (part 4)

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_
You were pacing around the living room, much to Alejandro and Gaz's demise. It had been a full hour and half since you got home and you had zero news. The anxiety was eating at you.
"Sparrow please breathe, let us take care of your lip…" Gaz tried for what must have been the 6th time.
You just kept pacing. What happened? Where were they?.
"God damn it!" You cursed.
Stopping in front of the kitchen sink you stared at the black mug. Did he get into trouble? What if he got suspended?
The front door opening made you jump. Alejandro stood from the couch Gaz standing on guard nearby.
Soap and price were the first to walk in. Ghost followed, balaclava and hood on. He was tense, you could see it. You wanted to get to him but not in front of everyone. You knew he wouldn't like it.
"So?" Alejandro asked.
"Laswell was informed of the situation. Keller was suspended until further investigation." Price answered.
You let out a shaky breath. That asshole fully deserved it. But… ghost…
"What about the lieutenant?" Gaz asked.
You mentally thanked him for asking, the words too hard to speak out loud for you.
"He'll be fine." Price answered with a smirk.
You looked at ghost. He was staring right at you, you sighed in relief. He noticed.
"Laswell fully understood the situation. She even congratulated and thanked him." Price said with a chuckle.
Of course she did. Laswell was the one to find you years ago. To take you under her wing and protect you. You had become like a daughter for her.
Ghost finally stepped forward straight towards you. His large hand grabbed your chin softly.
"Why isn't this treated?"
You could still feel the bite of anger tainting his tone.
"Hum…" Gaz started.
"I didn't let them. I was worried. It's been over an hour! Plus. It's just a scratch." You interrupted.
You crossed your arms over your chest once more, defying him. What the hell? Who cared about the little scratch. You could clearly see his bloody knuckles. He stiffened.
"Don't test me." He threatened.
You pouted. The men in the room now feeling slightly out of place.
"Well. On that note. We'll leave you to it." Price spoke.
The boys started to walk out, Ghost not letting you out of his sight. You walked them to the door. Thanking them. Price turned to you.
"Try not to get him to worked up… you'd be playing with fire…" he hushed only to you.
You were confused. He seemed to be serious but the wink he sent your way suggested otherwise.
Once the door was closed you turned back to the living room. Ghost sat on the couch back to you. You decided to walk to the counter, following Price's advice.
"Come here." He ordered.
You sighed. Walking up the couch, you didn't get time to sit down before he stood up.
"Why?" He asked.
You frowned.
"Why what?" You asked.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He hissed.
You rolled your eyes, suddenly feeling all the pain again. The way he left. The way he told you you weren't friends. The way he didn't care.
"Don't roll your eyes at me." He warned.
You crossed your arms again.
"Don't give me orders." You tried. He stepped closer.
"Why. Didn't. You. Tell. Me?" He asked again.
"Because you didn't care!" You half yelled.
You both stood there silently. You could feel yourself wanting to cry again. Feeling the tears threatening to fall, you turned around, trying to run from this staring match.
His hand rushed to your stomach pulling you back unto him. You gasped. His arms surrounded you. Softly. Too scared to actually hold you. You let your hands rest on his forearms.
"Ghost…" he squeezed a tiny bit harder. His chin rested at the crook of your neck, his breath tickling you. You bit your lip. Drawing more blood from it. With a whimper you spun around in his arms, hugging his torso tightly. He was obviously not used to it. He was probably mortified with himself to have even initiated it. He still didn't move. One of his hands rested on your back, the other had traveled to the back of your neck.
"I care." He whispered. You closed your eyes at the sound.
"I care." He repeated, as if finally allowing himself to realize it.
"I can't lose anyone else during Christmas…"
You were confused at the confession, but didn't push it. You hugged him tighter.
"You didn't. I'm fine. You saved me."  You tried reassuring him.
"He hurt you." You couldn't miss the fury in his voice.
"And you made him pay" you chuckled.
He didn't seem to find it funny. His heart was slamming against his chest.
"I'm safe. You saved me." You tried one last time.
You remained in the hug a little bit.
"I'm… sorry." You heard him.
You hummed questioningly.
"We are friends. I care. You matter."
The words went straight to your chest. He cared.
"You matter too Ghost." You admitted.
He softly let go of you. His eyes looked tired. Sad. His thumb reached over your lip again.
"Let's take care of this."
You nodded. Grabbing his hand in yours.
"Only if you let me take care of this." You argued, mentioning his bruised knuckles.
He nodded. You smiled at him through tears. His hand rose, patting your head softly.
One thought lingered on your mind. He cared.
--
The next morning you woke up feeling sore. Last night Ghost had insisted on taking care of every single bruise you had.
"It's no-thing leave-it." You complained, punctuating every syllable.
You tried to get away from his grip. Seriously, the little bruise on your knee wasn't even caused by Keller.
"Keep moving and I'm handcuffing you." He warned.
"You wouldn't!" You stared at him.
The blank stares spoke volumes. He definitely would.

You sighed at the memory. He had given you pain meds. It was now almost 11 am. You probably would have slept longer if it wasn't for the bickering coming from the living room. You rose from the bed, you looked around, searching for your baggy shirt or t-shirt but couldn't find it anywhere. Did he… no. He wouldn't. He couldn't have.
He totally did. You sighed. Fine. You threw on a pajama shirt. Rummaging through your closet you found some pajama shorts. You walked to the door, stepping out and walking into the living room. You blinked. For a second you thought you might be dreaming.
The boys turned to you. The blinking lights reflecting around. The tree standing tall in the corner.
"Good morning sleeping beauty." Alejandro said.
"Sorry we didn't wait for you to put up the Christmas tree." Soap added.
"It was supposed to be a surprise but soap can't shut up." Gaz teased.
"What do you mean?! You've been yelling about the fucking colors all morning." Soap complained.
You stood there in shock. The whole living room had been decorated for Christmas. And… was that the smell of gingerbread? While the boys were bickering you looked at Ghost. Your breath caught in your lungs. He was wearing a black t-shirt, a very nice contrast from the usual hoodies or tactical shirts.
He was eyeing you angrily. Ah. Yes. The shorts. He glanced away and you followed his gaze. He was right. Alejandro seemed to enjoy the sight before him. He winked at you. Oh god.
Ghost rose from where he sat, and you immediately walked up to him.
"Ghost!"  You whispered to him, one hand on his chest the other on his forearm. The skin to skin contact sent a shiver down your spine.
"Stop fucking playing." He whispered back.
"You said you weren't jealous.." you teased in a whisper, batting your lashes at him.
"Last warning. He keeps glancing at you." He warned.
"He's not going to hurt me. You know that."
He quietly looked down at you.
"It's just shorts. Calm down."
He frowned.
"Fine." He spat.
You smiled up at him. Your palm still on his chest. Something flashed through his eyes but you weren't exactly sure what.
"Ghost… did you hide my baggy shirts?" You questioned. He remained silent simply staring at you.
"Sparrow! Come help!" Soap called.
Letting your hands drop you whispered one last thing.
"Thank you… for Christmas."
He nodded. You took a step back heading for the tree. His eyes didn't leave you all afternoon. He stood close all the time. Alejandro was flirty but from far away which seemed to be a safe distance from the big scary dog next to you.
___
Christmas was wonderful. The boys had stayed over, sleeping on the couch and ground. First you were worried but Price had quickly washed your fears away.
"Don't worry they've slept in much worse conditions." He chuckled.
It was almost new year. Price and Ghost had been spending a lot of time on base, probably dealing with the Keller problem. As such, Gaz soap and Alejandro had been spending almost every day at the apartment. Somehow it had turned into a frat house, much to Ghost's dismay.
You had been so happy to mend things with Ghost. But you missed him. Your cheeks heated up at the thought. It was hard to admit and you surely wouldn't say it out loud. Spending time with the boys was fun but you missed the alone time with your roommate.
On this late evening, you had dined with the boys. You were thankful for Alejandro's cooking skills. Price and Ghost were out. And you were bored. Honestly. You were slightly pouting.
"Hey guys, want to play something?" Soap asked, picking Gaz's interest.
"Oh yeah yeah, we got that card game remember?" Gaz proposed.
"Absolutely! We should turn it into a drinking game." Soap added.
"I'm in." Alejandro rang.
They turned to you. A drinking game… well. You really were bored.
"Ok, sure." You said.
What could go wrong?
Every possible thing that could go wrong, went wrong. Everyone was drunk, slurring on their words, the living room was a mess. The boys had lost their shirts, Gaz had a drawn mustache over his lips, Soap had heavy makeup on and Alejandro tape over his mouth. You had ended up wearing Alejandro's shirt with nothing but underwear under. It was big enough to reach your thighs.
Your mind was blurry. The few shots of tequila, vodka and whiskey mixing your thoughts together in an impossible tangle.
"And that's another one for me!" Soap yelled, smashing his card on the table.
Everyone groaned ready to take another shot. You were unsure of the current time. The alcohol in your body made you slightly irrational. You missed Ghost. Why wasn't he home yet? You were pissed at him. The liquor burned your throat as you swallowed. You had fully accepted to wear Alejandro's shirt after your 7th shot, just to mess with the lieutenant.
Next round, won by Gaz, turned into a debate on whether or not he had cheated, Alejandro somehow losing the tape over his mouth in the process, sticking it to his chest.
You were annoyed. Where was Ghost? You wanted Ghost…
Pouring another shot, the game not being an excuse to down your drink anymore.
"What the hell is going on?!"
Everyone turned at the sound of Price's voice.
"Dad!" You yelled, a silly smile on your face.
Alejandro, Gaz and Soap burst out laughing. Price himself chuckled.
"Oh god. Little bird I'm flattered. We shouldn't have left you alone with these menaces." He said.
You noticed Ghost had his gaze fixated on you. You changed your expression to a pout.
"Why you'home so late?" You asked with a frown.
"You meanie!"
The comment made the boys burst out laughing again, Price indulging himself in laughter as well.
Ghost hadn't said a word yet. That wasn't nice…  It pissed you off even more. He stepped closer.
"No!" You said. Making him stop in his tracks.
"Sparrow. You need to go to bed." He finally said.
"No! I wan'n play!" You pouted more.
He sighed, looking at Price.
"Sparrow listen to him. The boys are also going to sleep. Look, Gaz is already out."
You glanced back, Gaz had indeed tapped out he laid on the ground, mouth slightly open.
You frowned. Pussy.
Ghost had used that moment of inadvertence to get closer. Unfortunately for him, you noticed, crawling under the coffee table to the other side, shielding you from him as you slurred another 'no!' at him.
Soap couldn't stop laughing. Holding his stomach.
"Fuckin hell." Ghost cursed.
Price walked to Soap grabbing him, throwing his arm over his shoulders.
"Come on Sergeant, let's get you to bed." He smiled.
"Put him in the room on the right." Ghost said.
Wait.. that.. was… your room. You grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. He grabbed it before it could hit him, sending a dark glance at you. Soap had burst out laughing again, Alejandro joining him.
"I already told you. Pillows are not. A good weapon." He hissed.
He froze. Frowning.
"What are you wearing?" His voice had lowered a few octaves.
"My shirt…" Alejandro answered in between laughs.
God.. he looked furious. It sent a shiver down your spine. And it made you want to play with fire soooo much more.
"It looks-good on'me.. doesn'init?" You smiled innocently at him.
"It makes you angwy…'' you teased with a pout. "Mayyybee, sshould take'it off…" you said, adding actions to words as you crossed your arms grabbing the hem of the shirt, ready to lift it over your head. What were you doing? If only that question ran through your head at that moment maybe, just maybe you had behaved. Unfortunately the only thing in your mind was how pissed you were at him for coming home so late. Therefore a stupid reason to any rational thinking person, which you currently were not.
As the shirt raised, showing your panties as you sat on your legs on the ground Ghost snapped.
"SPARROW" He yelled, grabbing the coffee table with one hand, lifting and pushing it aside as if it was nothing, freeing the way to you.
It made you stop dead in your tracks. Shutting up Soap and Alejandro, waking up Gaz in the process. Price kept a close look at the situation.
You looked at him with wide eyes. He took a deep breath, squatting down in front of you slowly as if to not scare a little wild animal.
"Little bunny…" he started.
It made you melt. The fucker. He knew how to tame you. You let go of the shirt letting your hands drop to the floor in front of you, in between your legs.
"You've drank a bit too much because of these… idiots." He hissed the last word.
"I drank becaus m'missed you…" you admitted pouting.
A 'whooo' was heard in the far back, probably coming from Soap. With a simple glance from Ghost he shut up.
"Alright little bunny. I'm sorry. You want to be a good girl? You want to come see me?" He said, in a deep and… very sexy… voice.
Your mind was a complete fog. You wanted to be a good girl… you wanted to be his good girl…
Wait.. what?
If you could see yourself in a mirror and if you weren't so intoxicated, you would have understood the meaning of heart eyes. Ghost swallowed. It wasn't at all the look of pure adoration at his words that made him react like that… that made him stare at you like… you were his prey.
"I .. I wann'be a good girl…" you said in a whiny voice.
You thought you heard groans from every drunk man in the room. But your attention was fully fixed on the man with a skull mask in front of you.
Fuck. Why was it so hard to think? You felt so hot. The alcohol completely erasing your inhibition.
"Come here little bunny." He ordered.
Crawling on all fours to him you sat right in front of him looking up. Price had continued his way to drop Soap on your bed, coming back to grab Gaz.
"Imm sorry…" you said.
He sighed.
"You're a lightweight." He said.
You nodded.
"Can I have my shirt back?" Alejandro interrupted.
Ghost glanced at him. Muscles flexing. You turned to see what was making him so angry. Alejandro eyed you hungrily. Perhaps enjoying a bit too much the sight before him. You, on your knees, wearing his shirt.
"Sure." Ghost answered.
You blinked. He dropped to his knees, shifting closer to you as you now sat in between his knees. Softly grabbing the hem of the shirt, eyeing you to ask permission. You bit your lip, still glancing at him adoringly. He was mad. You wanted him to stop being mad. He lifted the shirt over your head, the cold hair giving you goosebumps. Or maybe it was the way his fingertips touched your skin. I mean, who knows? He threw Alejandro's shirt to his face.
He grabbed his own hoodie, throwing it over his head. You looked at his torso. You bit your lip again. God… he was hot. The scars… the way he was toned. His tattoos. Fuck. No. No. Wait. He's your roommate. You.. you can't…
He threw his hoodie over you, making you wear it. His scent was overwhelming, it made you close your eyes. The warmth of it, as he had been wearing it made you hum happily.
You were so focused that you didn't hear the conversation they were having.
"Why so angry lieutenant?" Alejandro, taunted with a smirk.
"The fuck you playin at Vargas?" He asked, anger biting at his words.
"What? She's pretty. Adorable. Hot." He listed. Ghost grew furious by the second.
"Stay the fuck away." Ghost threatened.
"What? She's yours? You feel possessive just because she's your roomie? Maybe she wants me" He frowned with a malicious smirk.
Ghost chuckled darkly. Turning to you, suddenly gaining your attention.
"Little bird… you missed me?" He asked.
"Yes sir…" you answered sweetly.
"Now… I should apologize for that." He flirted.
Wait… flirted…? Your mind was too fucked to pick it up.
"You want to sleep in my bed? Wanna cuddle with your lieutenant ?" He asked.
Your eyes would sparkle if they could.
"Yes please sir" you whined.
Alejandro cleared his throat. But somehow Ghost didn't stop. His fingers rose to your chin. What was he doing? Was this supposed to prove something? Were any of you serious? Was it just for show? Were you willingly rolling with his taunts?
He eyed you down. Voice deep and groaning.
"You my bunny? You're mine?" He asked, almost growling the last word.
You leant forward hands on his torso, letting your head fall into his shoulder.
"M'yours… m'your bunny…" you whined.
You felt so much affection at the moment for this man. His little pet name made your head spin.
That and the tequila.
Suddenly you were off the floor, being carried bridal style by him. You completely gave up on picking up anything about reality. You just let him take you to bed. You passed by Price in the hallway.
"The other two are dead asleep." He informed.
"Good. Now please get Vargas out." Ghost answered.
"He's too drunk to go anywhere. But I'll sleep in the living room with him. Whatever's going on shouldn't fuck up your work together." Price stated.  A little silence. You hugged his neck tighter. Making Price chuckle.
"I think you can take care of her." Price teased, taping him on the shoulder before heading to the living room.
"Come on Vargas. Let's go to bed."
You chuckled into Ghost's neck as you heard Price. Ghost walked into his room, kicking the door shut behind him. He softly dropped you on top of his bed, standing up to look down at you. He sighed.
"You shouldn't drink this much Sparrow." He scolded.
You pouted.
"It's bunny." You frowned.
He chuckled.
"You're going to be so embarrassed tomorrow morning." He teased.
"Probably…" you slurred.
"You… really missed me?" He asked in a low voice.
You hummed affirmatively, suddenly hugging his pillow, eyelids heavy.
"Miss spending time… miss playing… eating…" you listed.
He chuckled.
"I'm sorry. I'll spend more time with you." He promised.
You smiled up at him.
"Fuuuck.." he cursed under his breath. "Vargas's right. You're fucking adorable." He whispered, more to himself than your ears.
You chuckled. Finger curling, beckoning him to lower himself to you. He leaned forwards, hands resting on either side of your body. You softly grabbed his face in between your hands, leaning in, his eyes widening. At the last moment you shifted, dropping a kiss on the skull mask, where his forehead would be.
"M'your bunny…" was the last thing you could say before sleep took you.
__
The next morning was rough. You had a pounding headache and you were nauseous. It took a good minute before you opened your eyes, blinking to adjust to your surroundings. You weren't in your room. And… that. Was Ghost sleeping next to you? Wait. Was that his hoodie on you?  You remembered your little plan yesterday to piss him off by wearing Alejandro's t-shirt.
The memories hit you like a truck. You on all fours, Ghost undressing you, calling you bunny. Flirting with you. The staring match between the two men… CALLING PRICE DAD.
You cursed loudly, hands hiding your face.
"You ok ?"
You jumped, turning your head to look at Ghost.
"I.." you didn't know what to say. You bit your lip.
"Try, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause such a mess." He teased.
You closed your eyes. "I'm sorry…" you mumbled.
The air was tense. The memories felt a bit bitter. They were marked by alcohol and adrenaline from the moment. Were they real? This feelings? This affection towards one another? It was strong. It was abrupt to say it was love. He was still weary of you. And you were still confused. The doubt of his sincerity last night weighed on you.
He was teasing Alejandro… but did he mean any of it? He figured you like praises and he used it to get you to bed. You weren't mad at him for it. You had acted like a brat.
You were safe with the squad you were sure of it. None would take advantage of you, but you still put yourself in some kind of danger. You just hoped he wasn't mad.
The fear of having ruined your established relationship, whatever it was, probably friends, smacked you hard.
"We're… still friends. Right?" You asked.
"Why wouldn't we be?" He answered, soothing your worries.
"Are you mad..?"
"Negative."
"Promise?"
"Affirmative."
"This is going to feel weird… isn't it?"
"For a little bit. But we'll get over it."
You sighed. Would you? Would you both get over it? The way you looked at each other. The way his fingertips felt… the way he called you his bunny. His possessiveness over you, when.. you're just friends. Roommates.
You couldn't handle this. You couldn't handle being this tense around him. You jumped, turning over on your stomach, letting yourself rest on your elbows looking at him. He was staring right at you.
"We're pretty close." You started. He nodded.
"We care about each other." He kept nodding.
"You… called me your bunny." You tested.
"I did. You like it." He noted.
"I do… I like it and…" you were confused.
"Sparrow. Stop. You're overthinking this. We're fine." He said, slight annoyance in his voice. You smiled. He was still himself.
"Give me back my hoodie now." He requested.

Your bath is less than relaxing as the residue of your argument lingers. You sit among the bubbles as they dissolve and stare at the ceiling. You didn't mean to make Andy mad. You weren't trying to argue. You thought it would be a good idea to make amends.
Perhaps it is best to focus on one thing at a time. You let your eyes close as you fight to keep your nerves contained. You have that jittery feeling where you just want to scatter into pieces.
You don't stay long in the tub. You climb out, foam dripping from your legs down onto the mat. You dry off slowly and dress even more deliberately.
Your eyes wander and you pinpoint on the blank space on the wall. The speaker is gone, Andy must be dealing with the battery issue. You shrug and pull on your sweatshirt and hang the towel on the rack.
You gather your old clothes and near the door. You inch it open and peer out into the hall. You go into your room and dump your armful in the hamper.
You wander around, restless, and go to the dresser. You made sure to tuck away your journal with Kemp's gift. You don't want either to be discovered.
You take your tablet and carefully slide back the cover. You jump as a knock comes on the door frame. You face Andy as he leans against the wall.
"You hungry, honey?" He asks. It seems like he's cooled down.
"Um, I guess..."
He clicks his tongue, "I'm not mad. You know? You're the one who holds onto these things. We can just move past it. That's a part of a relationship, we argue and then we work through it."
"Right," you agree hollowly, "I know."
"Hm, maybe I'm interrupting? You were planning on hiding in here all night? When we're trying to make progress." He crosses his arms, "therapy isn't cheap. It's hard work so are you gonna try this time?"
Your heart plummets. He says he's not angry but he sure sounds it. You hug your tablet and take a step forward.
"I just wanted to grab this," it's a half-lie; you weren't planning on coming out of your room. "What should I make for dinner?"
"You want to cook?" He arches a brow in surprise.
"Sure, why not? It'll be something to do..." you smile, you can put it in your journal too!
"Alright, whatever you want, dove," he pulls his arms apart and backs up, letting his shoulders slump, "can I ask you a favour?"
"Uh, okay?"
"Will you stay in my room again?" He lowers his voice, so quiet you can barely hear him. He rubs the back of his neck as if he's embarrassed, "it's just... been a while since I slept as good as last night."
"Oh..." you make an an O with your lips, "I guess... I could."
You don't want to, not really. You're tired and you didn't sleep very well yourself. But you don't want to annoy him. Maybe tonight will be better. Maybe you'll get used to it.
🕊️
You make macaroni and cheese for supper. It's a classic and simple enough. Andy's content with the meal and thanks you with a kiss that leaves you standoffish. You want to like it for him but it still feels so new and different. Just another thing to get used to.
After, he watches a ball game as you draw on your tablet. The picture of a lily wilting beyond your original vision of plush ivory petals. Different, not bad, just like everything else, right?
You yawn and slump down, closing your tablet and laying it on your lap. You look at Andy as he sips from a beer. He offered you one but you don't drink. You don't see the appeal.
"Andy," you murmur, "do you mind if I lay down? I'm tired."
"Sure," he leans in to sling his arm around you, "you can keep the bed warm, huh?"
He kisses your forehead, the smell of alcohol clinging to his breath. You keep from shying away and grip your tablet tight. When he lets you go, you stand and smile at him.
"Okay, um, good night."
"I'll be up shortly," he winks, "don't worry."
"Alright."
"Love you," he lilts curtly.
"Love you too," you return, hesitating as he stares expectantly.
You shift on your feet then take a step closer. You bend as Andy's lashes flutter up at you. You angle your head and squeeze your eyes shut as you kiss him, his lips slightly rough and his beard tickly.
You pull away and wiggle your nose, scratching along your mouth.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"Nothing," you try not to sound upset, "just scratchy."
"Oh, uh," he drags his hands down his beard, "sorry, honey."
"Not in a bad way," you insist defensively.
"Good," he chuckles, "like I said, I'll be there soon."
He sits back as you sidle away. You don't let put the air trapped in your chest until your at the doorway. Your feet threaten to run but you keep your pace easy.
You climb the stairs and turn down the hallway. You slow near your door but continue to Andy's room. You sift through the dark and tentatively find your way to the bed.
You set your tablet on the pillow and click on the lamp. You climb beneath the covers as the yellow orb of light surrounds you. Despite the nagging displacement, it's cozy. The duvet is fluffy and the mattress is cushy.
You grab your tablet from behind you as you lay back and prop it up on your stomach. You open a colouring app and lazily fill in the lines. The mindless work keeps your mind from racing.
Your eyes droop as you find it more of a task to scribble with the digital nib. You let your hand rest in front of the screen as you shut your eyelids, letting the moment enshrine you. You don't even feel yourself sinking into sleep, your subconscious recreating the scene in a slightly off-kilter reflection.
It's like floating. You're not in your body, you're like air, weightless and free. Your snores rumble just beneath the haze, threatening to break your shallow slumber.
You feel a shift but don't stir, clinging to the embrace of your fatigue. You haven't slept in more than a day, not truly. Short spurts but nothing more.
A sudden heat enshrines you, like you're dropped into a furnace. The visions dim and you're trapped in a dark void, nothing to see, the rustle of noises you can't decipher. Floating still but on a stronger tide, rising and falling abruptly.
You snort, a break in the veneer. Then again, a soft snore that catches on your throat. Your eyelids part slightly and you find darkness around you and something else.
Your tablet is on the night table, a shadow folded and closed, just beside the dead lamp. The bed frame rocks and you figure it's Andy rolling over but his arm is around you snugly, and he's against you. Oh, he is flush to you, hugging you as his hips tilt oddly.
You feel that stiffness between you again. Your eyes go wide on the darkness but you cannot make a noise. He nuzzles your crown as he holds onto you, rubbing his… part against you as he carries his motion. Your heart spins, tangling up your breaths as his own grow shallow, interspersed with gritty groans.
You lock up. You don't know if he realises you're awake but you don't want him to. His arm slips down and he tugs at the bottom of your sweat shirt. He growls as his fingers slip beneath the fabric.
You quiver as his thick fingers tickle your stomach, the shirt rising with his advance. He brings his hand over one side of your chest and he gropes you. You squeak as you feel your nipple bud beneath his touch.
You don't think he heard you as he keeps going, voice droning louder and louder. You shut your eyes, hands balling to fists as you bite down. Just be over, just be over…
He snarls, a deep flow that courses into you as he spasms. He squeezes you tight, pushing his pelvis into you hard. He keeps you against him, puffing again your head, his hand nestled between your tits. You don’t dare let on that you’re awake.
Your eyes sting and you roll them back to keep the tears from spilling. You focus on your breathing, keeping it even and slow. That’s all you can do to keep from hiccuping or sobbing shock. You know what he’s done but you’re too afraid to confront him. What do you have to say about it? Is it wrong if you’re together like he says?
🕊️
You lay awake just like the first night in his bed, this time confined in his grasp. It isn’t until Andy falls asleep that he lets you free. He pulls away slowly, his arm sprawling over the other side of the mattress. He’s still crowding you.
You shudder as you fix your shirt. Your hand wanders further down as you feel something damp. You touch the back of your pants and suck in a sharp breath. It can’t be… you know what it is and it makes you feel gross.
You’re too nervous to drag yourself out of bed, afraid to disturb him too much. You don’t know what to do. You know you won’t get any real rest.
When you hear Andy start to snore, you dare to reach for your tablet. You cautiously shimmy up enough to bend your neck. You turn the brightness down and scroll through your files. You can’t decide what to work on so you close out and open solitaire.
After a few games, you’re bored, still too wary to get out of the bed. Something tells you if Andy wakes to an empty bed, you’ll be in trouble. You stare at the icons along your home screen and thoughtlessly hit the little envelope.
Your email opens up. A few receipts from your sparse Etsy sales and promotional emails about drawing apps and software. Nothing too pressing. You’re very unimportant.
You don’t have any contacts. Just one. The newest. Dr. Kemp. You stare at his name and think. You should write him an email for the morning, you’ll likely forget by then and leave it too long. You have a horrible habit of procrastinating to the point of losing track.
You turn onto your side and awkwardly type with one hand. It takes you a few tries to just get your opener right.
‘Hey, Dr. Kemp’.
No.
‘Dear Dr. Kemp’
Nope, not that either.
‘Hello, Dr. Kemp’.
Better, but not quite.
‘Good morning, Doctor Kemp.’
Okay, that’s good, he probably won’t see it until the morning. And it’s friendly. What next? Just pretend it’s like your journal.
‘Thank you for your visit today. I’m going to really try to listen and learn. I wrote down everything we talked about so I can go over them again tomorrow.
‘Me and Andy talked. He’s mad about Amber so I didn’t mention her again. He ran me a bath so I made him dinner. I drew for a little bit but I’m having a hard time finding focus. I went to bed shortly after that.
‘When I woke up, he was touching me and I was scared. But I let him finish and he’s sleeping now. I think that’s good.’
No, no, you won’t include that last part.
‘I hope you had a good night too.
Yours truly.’
You reread it and hit send. That feels better. Like you accomplished something. If you waited until the morning, you wouldn’t know what to say. You lay back and lean the tablet on your stomach. You listen to Andy’s rocky snores as they mount, louder and louder.
Your tablet bings and frightens you. Oh, shoot! You didn’t turn the volume down. You peek over at Andy and quickly hit the button to bring the audio all the way down to mute. The new notification surprises you.
‘Steve Kemp has invited you to chat.’
You look at Andy again. You have the tingly feeling along the nape of your neck, like you’re doing something wrong. You tap the notification and your email switches to a new window. You had no idea there was a chat function.
‘What are you doing up?’ Steve’s message pops up after you accept.
Your mouth opens. You don’t know what to say. Should you answer? It’d be rude not to.
‘Can’t sleep. Why are you awake?’
You wait for the response. You think maybe he’ll wait until morning to reply, thinking it may have been a rhetorical question. A sort of admonishment telling you that you should be asleep.
Three dots pop up then turn into a message.
‘You got me. I haven’t been able to settle down either’.
‘Oh. I’m sorry.’
‘Why are you sorry?’
You hesitate, ‘I don’t know. Because I know what it’s like to not be able to sleep.’
‘You’re sweet. Don’t worry about me. I don’t sleep much.’
You don’t know what to say to that. You don’t want to come off strange. You had the same problem with Andy, you just felt awkward about chatting through a screen. You couldn’t see the other person’s reaction.
‘Alright. I’ll tell you the truth.’
You’re surprised by his sudden message. As if you had challenged him or even had the thought that he was lying. You type in just ‘okay?’
‘I’ve been awake. Thinking about you.’
Your heart seems to stop and the world narrows to just your tablet. What? Your hand hits too many keys and you have to backspace before you sit and ponder your response.
‘Me? Did I do something wrong?’
You send and swallow, waiting. Andy snorts and you quickly press the screen to your chest, hiding the light. He grumbles and moves his arm but doesn’t wake up. You watch him as you raise the tablet to check the new message.
‘Nothing wrong. You’re special. So I think about you and how proud I am already. You’ve come a long way already. You’re a very good girl, sweetheart.’
You smile. You don’t know why. He can’t see it but his words make you feel bubbly. He never has anything bad to say. Andy coughs and you wince again.
‘Thank you, doctor. You’re very nice too but I don’t want to wake up Andy.’
You feel bad as the message blips into the chat. Your dread worsens as it takes a whole minute for dots to pop up on the other side. You nearly let out an audible sigh as you read his answer.
‘No worries. I’d rather you get some sleep. I’ll check in in the morning. Sleep tight, sweetheart.’
‘Good night’ you punch in the message and tap the arrow before closing your tablet.
You wriggle back down to your back and lay stranded in the dark next to Andy’s loud rumbles. You won’t sleep but that’s okay. You feel better now. The doctor said you’re doing a good job.

cutie zuha who everyone thought was submissive and totally inexperienced, but one day when reader tested her limits, she showed her real self, absolutely destroying reader 🥴 becoming the mean hard dom mommy she really is 🤭
why does this sound familiar 🤨 .. anyways here it is anon (listening to newjeans while making this so I apologize if things sound funky)
Kazuha = Red Y/n = Pink (creds from that one fic I saw that had this color thing)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone thinks Zuha is just a baby, not to mention her sweet innocent personality she would never hurt a soul. So you knew you had the sweetest girlfriend ever. When it came to sex she always had vanilla sex and always was gentle with you. Always reassuring you, you were safe with her.
Ugh but how much you hated it. You wanted to be degraded, humiliated and just something more rough than you usually get. Not complaining? Kind of? You just wanted something new.
You had a whole plan to be a brat, was risky, didn't know if it was gonna work, but you're trying it anyways. "Baby we have to go out, get ready now" You scoffed at her and just said "No I'm tired." Kazu gave you a confused look and just returned with a smile and said "Babe seriously we have to go now" She said while trying to pull you up.
"No Zuha I don't wanna."
"We have to. My family is expecting us baby."
You just scoffed again and made your way to the bathroom to get ready and you guys left to go to her parents house like you guys did almost every week.
After you guys got there you started acting like an immature kid again. Only laying in Zuha's bed not even spending time with her. You were surprised she kept up with it. But once it was time for dinner with her family you went out to eat with them.
"Here Y/n have some chicken!" Her mom said as she starts to pass you the plate. "No thank you." Kazuha looked at you weirdly giving you the 'wtf?' look. So she kicked your foot under the table because she knew how her mom felt about declining food.
"How about some Bulgogi?" Zuha kicked your feet again to make sure you actually accept it this time. "No I'm okay excuse me I'll use the bathroom real quick." You politely smiled and made your way to the bathroom.
"Mom I'll go check on her she doesn't seem well, okay?" Frustratingly, she stomped her way to the bathroom and just opened the door without knocking. You were just on your phone on the bathroom toilet.
"Y/n what the fuck is wrong with you today?! I tried to keep up with your bullshit but It's too much now!" This is the Kazuha you wanted.
"I don't know. I'm normal today what do you mean?".
"Shut the fuck up. Bend over."
"Excuse me?"
With that she bent you over herself and gave you a few spanks to your ass coloring it bright red, and leaving hand marks all over. Then she picked you up and put you on the bathroom counter, moving everything aside.
"Yeah you wanna act like that? Then act like it, but I'm putting you in your place princess." She took off those shorts of yours and started to spread your legs harshly. She smashed her lips against yours and started to finger you with her slender fingers in a fast pace.
You were trying so hard to not make a noise but there was yelps and cries when she started to hit your g-spot. You were gonna cum so fast but she stopped everything right when you were about to.
She edged you in that bathroom for the longest time ever and she finally stopped. She stopped everything and just left you in that bathroom saying, "Get cleaned up baby. I'll meet you at dinner again. Don't think this is over yet because it's not. Once we're home your going on the bed I don't wanna hear excuses." Fuck, you were left there all needy and you were still dripping like hell:(

Cause Baby You're My Muse [Chapter 37]
Tumblr media
Genre: Romance, Idol!AU, Music, Slight angst
Pairing: Mingi x Reader (y/n)
Characters: Producer!Reader, IdolLyricist!Mingi, IdolProducer!Hongjoong, Idol!Seonghwa, Idol!Yunho, Idol!Wooyoung, Idol!San, Idol!Yeosang, Idol!Jongho, cameo(s) by other celebrities
Summary: You always preferred producing underground, having an unknown face and governed by your own rules. But when you start freelancing for idol groups, you say goodbye to your lone wolf lifestyle as you learn to work with idol producers and lyricists.
Word count: 3.3K
"Thank you for your time. It was nice meeting you." You stood up and bowed, shaking hands with the creative team. They were the ones that were going to come up with the concept of the comeback with stylists, background sets and the music video.
"So, what did you think?" Eden asked as you slumped into your chair. You turned to look at him.
"This isn't easy... My brain isn't wired like theirs." You sighed, running your fingers over the loops of your mask as the back of your ears were starting to hurt.
"While they can do that, our brains can come up with music." Eden chuckled, leaning his arm on the table to face you.
"But I've learnt a lot, I'm still learning from this process." You said, spinning in your chair.
"It is not something everyone gets to experience. You're used to making the music and submitting it to let them fend for themselves, right?" Eden asked. You nodded your head.
"Very disconnected." You agreed.
"But the team has been very impressed with you. I'm getting really good feedback on your work and how much of a difference things have been since I brought you in. So good job, your hard work is paying off." Eden patted your shoulder. Luckily your mask could hide your shyness at his praise.
"How are you and..." Eden was still very well aware of where the two of you were and the fact that the walls were not soundproof so anyone could listen in.
"It's been good. I think we've reach a level where we're comfortable with each other enough to support one another." You said.
"That's good, that's good. That kind of stability in relationships are enviable." He smiled.
"With idols, most of the time, the schedules and timings are what cause the connection to fray." He sighed.
"Yeah, it's the hard reality. But I would like to put a little more faith in us than that. Both of us being in the industry, I think we have more understanding when it comes to the other person's schedule."
"I'm happy for you. Being on your own underground from such a young age isn't easy. You deserve some happiness." He chuckled.
"Thank you, Eden." You bowed your head. Once Eden had to leave for his next schedule, you left as well. You shuffled to your studio with a yawn. The entire evening was just filled with back to back meetings, you hardly had any time to work on your music.
"There she is."
"Hwa!" You cried out, throwing your bag aside to throw yourself into Seonghwa's arms.
"What are you doing here?" You grinned up at him. You have missed hanging out and being with Seonghwa. He had been busy with practice and vocal lessons for both singing and rapping.
"I came to see how you have been doing."
"Let's go to the studio." You said. Seonghwa nodded, going to pick up the bag that you had thrown aside.
"Did you wait long?" You asked as you unlocked your studio and went in. Seonghwa followed you in, leaving his shoes outside beside yours.
"Nope, I finished my workout session and managed to shower before coming here. I practically just sat down before you came." He said, touching the still slightly damp ends of his hair. You nodded and arranged your equipment on your desk. Seonghwa patiently waited for you.
"I missed you." You hugged him.
"You've lost weight. Have you not been eating?" He frowned, noticing your slightly smaller frame when he hugged you back.
"I have! And speak for yourself, your waist is smaller, if that's even possible." You scoffed. Seonghwa flicked your forehead lightly, causing you to whine. The two of you sat down at the couch.
"Mingi said today was the first time you're meeting the creative team. How was it?" He asked.
"Interesting. I guess they're a part of the creative team for a reason. It was interesting to see them brainstorm on concepts." You said.
"Oh? Are you interested now?"
"Nah, my brain isn't wired that way. I think I'll stick to music." You shook your head, making Seonghwa laugh. He reached out to pat your head with a brotherly smile.
"Hongjoong always threatens to leave Ateez and join the creative team for wardrobe. The company should just get him his own fashion line or something." He rolled his eyes. You giggled, knowing Hongjoong's love for fashion and making his own clothes.
"I heard from Maddox your upcoming cover is going well. Hongjoong is rearranging it now." You said.
"Ah... yeah... I hope to record it soon. But I need to practice my English pronounciation a little more. I've been working with the tutor on it." He rubbed the back of his neck.
"You're always so hardworking, Hwa. I know it'll turn out well, Atiny will definitely love it." You smiled as you encouraged him.
"Thank you." He smiled softly. You laid on his lap, closing your eyes.
"Are you just going to work in the studio for the rest of the evening?" Seonghwa asked, his hand coming up to stroke your head. You let out a hum of confirmation.
"Let's go get dinner then." He suggested.
"I have to work, Hwa..."
"We can order in. I know you need to work but you need food to give you energy before you can work." Seonghwa argued. You sighed, nodding in defeat. You knew you couldn't win against mother Seonghwa. While he ordered the food, you went to sit at your desk to start some editing.
"What's that?"
"N-Nothing." You closed the window. Seonghwa scoffed and snatched your mouse away, opening the window that you were so quick to close.
"Hwa..." You whimpered, watching the frown grow deeper on his face as his eyes scanned the threatening email. The person even added some grotesque images of violence.
"How long has this been going on for?" He practically growled. You've never seen this side of Seonghwa before, it almost scared you.
"I-It's not a big d-deal."
"Bullshit, Indigo! Answer the damn question!" He yelled. Seeing you flinch and cower back in fear, Seonghwa came to his senses, calming himself down.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have yelled... I'm sorry, it's okay." He held your hands, pulling you in to hug you. He soothed you, stroking the back of your head. It hurt him, to see someone he treated like a little sister, suffer like this and he didn't even know.
"Tell me, how long has this been going on for?" He spoke with a more gentle, patient tone this time. You gulped, beginning to tell him when it all happened and that it has been happening.
"Does Mingi know this? Hongjoong?"
"No. Only Jongho knows and it's because he guessed, I didn't intend for any one to know. Please, Hwa. You cannot tell them." You begged.
"Silly girl, you're more afraid of them knowing than you are of the person who is threatening you." Seonghwa let out a sigh, tucking your hair behind your ear.
"Please, promise me. You won't tell them."
"Then what are you going to do? Because if they're following you near your home, that is already a danger." He frowned.
"I'll handle it. I'll go to the authorities or speak to Eden to see if I can work something out. I won't be able to live with myself if I ruin the comeback." Tears welled up in your eyes.
"Ruin the comeback? What are you talking about? Ah... You're really a pabo, you know that. If you promise me you will handle it, I won't tell Mingi or Hongjoong. But you are to tell me if things escalate. You may worry about burdening us but I'm not going to play around with your safety." He said.
"Okay." You nodded. You reached up to wrap your arms around his neck, letting out soft cries. It felt relieving to let your guard down.
"I was so scared..." You cried. Seonghwa felt his heart break when he heard your broken cries. He couldn't even begin to imagine how you must have felt.
"You're not alone. We're here, I'm here." He patted your back. With his sleeve, Seonghwa wiped your tears.
He knew how you felt. Of course, he had his fair share of hate before but he had his members with him. This was probably the first time this was happening to you and you were dealing with it alone.
"Shh..." He continued to soothe you.
Once you calmed down, you and Seonghwa together to eat. He ordered some boiled pork belly and wrap accompaniments. In his own, quiet way, you noticed how Seonghwa continued to comfort you. His thigh touching yours and making wraps for you.
"Ahh." He held the wrap out to you and your cheeks heated up but you still took the bite.
"Your future wife is going to be very lucky to have you to take care of her, Hwa." You giggled, covering your mouth as you chewed. Seonghwa scoffed but you noticed his red ears.
"You're speaking nonsense." Seonghwa shook his head, picking at the meat in front of him.
"So, do you guys know your comebacks schedules yet? Like what you're all going to be doing." You asked.
"Not exactly, in terms of the exact dates. I mean, besides the usual music shows for promotions. We have some radio shows and YouTube interviews here and there. Definitely Idol Radio since Yunho and Hongjoong are the DJs. I heard we might go for some overseas festivals?" He shrugged.
"All I hear is busy, busy, busy." You chuckled.
"They might split us up into smaller groups to tackle the interviews and game show appearances. That's what they usually do to cover more ground." He explained.
"Park Seonghwa!" Hongjoong burst into your studio. You jumped in surprise as he looked around, eyes landing on you too.
"I knew you were both here. You thought you could sneak away from me." He crossed his arms.
"I literally texted you that I'm coming to visit Indigo." Seonghwa frowned. Hongjoong blinked in confusion, taking his phone out to check his text. Indeed, Seonghwa's text was right there but Hongjoong didn't see it.
"So you did..." He scratched his head.
"Dramatic much..." Seonghwa rolled his eyes. Hongjoong scoffed but took a double take when his eyes landed on you, suddenly coming to cup your cheeks.
"Did you cry?! Who made you cry? Why are your eyes so puffy?" He moved your head slightly to inspect you further.
"N-No! I'm just tired so I kept yawning. Stop that!" You slapped his hands away from your face.
"Stop fussing and eat." Seonghwa held out chopsticks to him.
"Your daughter cried and all you can think about is food. You're a bad parent, Seonghwa ah." Hongjoong clicked his tongue in disapproval, making you snicker.
"I told you I didn't cry." You frown and slapped his arm. Hongjoong pouted and retaliated by flicking your shoulder lightly. He broke his chopsticks to begin eating. You were full so you went to the fridge to grab a bottle of cold tea to drink. At the same time, you made a mental note to restock the fridge soon.
"Ah, I'm so full. Thank you for the meal, Hwa." You sat back down. Seonghwa nodded in agreement, spreading his arms on the backrest of the couch.
"This is why I didn't want to eat so much, I'll feel sleepy." You cuddled into Seonghwa's side.
"You always feel sleepy around Seonghwa." Hongjoong scoffed.
"Hwa is just more comforting to be around. Don't be jealous." You kicked his calf. Seonghwa sighed and shook his head at how the two of you would bicker like siblings.
"Did you hear back on your OST progress yet?" Hongjoong asked you, changing the topic.
"Yeah, I'm worried that Jongho might not have the time to record. I told him and the production team that I want him to prioritise the comeback. We'll find someone else if he's occupied, I don't want to pile too much on him." You said.
"Are you going to scout underground?" He chewed.
"Nah, the cast of the drama are mainly idols so they want the full idol imagery. So no underground artists." You sighed.
"Would they ask the cast members to sing it then? Fans always like it when they do that, especially if it's the main couple singing a duet together." Seonghwa voiced.
"I did tell them to try proposing it to the male lead if he wants to do it." You shrugged.
After the food was finished, Hongjoong and Seonghwa left to give you some space and peace to finish your work.
"Bye, Indigo. Don't stay too late, hmm?" Hongjoong patted your head as he hugged you. You hummed and hugged him back. He went out to call their manager.
"You text me when you're leaving the building and when you arrive at home, okay?" Seonghwa said seriously.
"I will, Hwa. Don't worry." You smiled softly, squeezing his hand with reassurance. He sighed but pulled you into a hug, squishing you against his chest. Seonghwa didn't want to let you go, knowing you would be alone, but he also knew you would kill him if Hongjoong even began to suspect something.
"Let's go, Seonghwa. Manager hyung is downstairs." Hongjoong poked his head back in. He nodded and walked towards the door. You waved to the two.
"Hi, hyung." The two oldest greeted the manager and climbed into the van to be driven back to the dorm.
"I actually never thought Indigo would become one of our kids." Hongjoong leaned back into his seat, head turning to the oldest. But Seonghwa was just staring into space, deep in thought.
"Seonghwa?" He called the male.
"Huh? Did you say something?" Seonghwa blinked, shaking his head before looking at Hongjoong.
"Are you okay?" Hongjoong tilted his head. The taller nodded his head and leaned against the window. Hongjoong just assumed that he was tired, they all were.
"Thanks, manager hyung. Goodnight." The two bowed when they were dropped off. They went upstairs to find the house surprisingly quiet. Hongjoong showered in the bathroom outside while Seonghwa used the other one in the boys' room.
"Jongho ah, are you awake?" Seonghwa asked after his shower, using his towel to try and dry his hair.
"Yeah, hyung?" Jongho sat up.
"Can I talk to you about something? Privately." He requested. Jongho nodded and got off his bed, following the oldest out of the bedroom. Seonghwa made sure that no one was outside.
"What's up, hyung? Is something the matter? I don't usually see you so serious." Jongho frowned at the seriousness in Seonghwa's voice.
"It's about Indigo." At that, Jongho gulped.
'Leaving studio now. Going home. - Indigo'
You attached a picture of yourself to the text you sent Seonghwa before slinging your bag over your shoulders and leaving your studio. You made sure to lock it. With your mask up, you left work to make your way back home. It was quiet, with not that many people on the street anymore.
RINGGGGGG
"Hello, Hwa? I sent you the text like you instructed. It's late, you should be sleeping or resting, at least." You chuckled, speaking to him through your AirPods.
"I'm not tired yet. Just wanted to make sure the princess was safe on her way home. The streets are so quiet now, I worry."
"See? This is why I didn't want anyone knowing... Seriously, I'm fine." You sighed.
"Indigo, that's not an excuse. We're family, we worry about each other all the time, it's normal. Whether this thing is happening or not, we still worry about each other day in, day out."
"Family equals worrying, got it." You teased.
"Glad you can still joke."
"I do it to make myself feel less scared and to take over the silence. You being serious makes me feel like I should be scared or something. Which isn't helping me." You rolled your eyes, even though he couldn't see you.
"No, you're right. Sorry, I won't be so paranoid. There's nothing to be scared of. That's why I called, to keep you company and to make sure I know that you got home safely."
"I'm just teasing, Hwa. Thank you for worrying about me. I'm really touched." You giggled.
"I always worry about my loved ones."
You continued talking to Seonghwa as you made your way back home. He even turned the camera to video call or you to prove you were safely in your home.
"See?" You spun the camera around to show him. He let out a sound of satisfaction.
"Alright, goodnight Indigo."
"Thank you for accompanying me on my journey home, Hwa. Goodnight." You smiled before hanging up. Same as always, you left your bag in your studio and went to take a much needed shower. While your hair dried, you sat in your home studio to continue where you left off earlier in your work.
As you laid in bed, Mingi's face popped up, requesting to video call you. You propped your phone up, turning to your side as you answered the call.
"Hi, baby. You look so warm and cuddly in bed." Mingi chuckled, seeing you lay there.
"Hey, Mings. Yeah, I'm going to sleep soon. I just got back home about an hour ago." You yawned, tucking yourself under the blanket.
"That's good, you should sleep soon. You've worked hard, baby. How were the creative team meetings?" He asked, having remembered that you met so many creative teams today.
"They're rather amazing. The stylists, directors, storyboarders, all great minds. We talked a lot about the message and basic concepts before ajourning the meeting. We'll reconvene back in about a month of two." You informed.
"That sounds great. I can't wait to see what they propose to the group." Mingi said.
"Where are you? It's late for you to be out now." You asked. From his background, it looked like he was walking outside.
"I went out for a short walk, wanted to get some fresh air and clear my mind to write some lyrics." He explained. You couldn't really see his face with his mask but you knew he was grinning.
"Oh? And how did that go?"
"I think I got some pretty good material. There's barely anyone around so it was nice and quiet." He shrugged.
"Wow, I'm glad you were productive and able to get some lyrics going. Not sure if you knew beforehand but Seonghwa and Hongjoong stopped by my studio for dinner. It was nice to hang out with them, I felt like I haven't seen them in a while, especially Seonghwa." You said.
"They did? No wonder Seonghwa hyung left practice so quickly, he went to wait for you. I'm glad you got to spend some time with your older brothers." Mingi said.
"And I definitely got good lyrics because all I was thinking about when writing them was you." He added.
"Song Mingi, you better stop it." You scolded him for being cheesy, hiding your heated face in your blanket.
"I only speak the truth, baby." He laughed, finding your reaction absolutely adorable.
"You speak nonsense. You were always able to write such good lyrics before we were in a relationship. Heck, even before I joined KQ." You corrected.
"That is true but you told me to find my muse. To keep me going and overcome obstacles. Not just for one song but for every piece of music that I write." He reminded you of what you said to him during song camp.
"I did say that. And I told you that you would meet my muse one day and that was Haneul." You smiled at the memory.
"Well, baby, you're my muse."

Under a Harvest Moon
Content: Just under 1100 words of a domestic fluffy evening with any male character you'd like (might be a little Levi coded, just don't squint too hard hehe)
Note: My (first?) official contribution to my Under a Harvest Moon collab and the second of my (late) September prompts winners. Enjoy!
-----------------------
"Afternoon my love!" You skip down the driveway to meet your husband who has come home from work.
He smiles and pulls you into a hug and kiss, holding your waist as you go back inside.
"How was your day?" You ask, taking his coat and hanging it up once in the house.
"Same as always. Missed you lots." He kisses your cheek again, going to the kitchen for a drink.
"I've made dinner already." You pull out your meal from the oven and place it on the stove to show him.
"Mmm, smells delicious." He takes a fork and digs in while it's still in the pan.
"You know what today is?" You ask excitedly, grinning at him.
He pretends to think about it and goes to the calendar. He does know of course, but likes to tease you.
"Hmm, the largest moon of the year perhaps?" He taps the date on the calendar.
"That's right! The harvest moon is tonight!" You exclaim, throwing your arms around him.
You have recently moved to a spot that would be perfect for autumn and have been waiting to celebrate the changing of the seasons.
He chuckles and looks at his watch.
"Well, let's go celebrate then. We'll go up to the hillside and watch it rise."
"Really? That sounds wonderful and cozy!" You already start planning the evening.
"And maybe a little cold." He reminds you to get a blanket as you begin to race around and gather things.
While you leave the kitchen, he begins to scoop servings of the dinner you made into containers to take along with you, along with some waters and snacks, and makes a hot spiced tea to put in a thermos.
It's not long before you have two tote bags full of things for your adventure.
You both change into comfortable clothing, warm and cozy, ready to brace the rising moon.
"Ready to go, my pumpkin?" He asks, patting your head playfully and taking the totes.
You laugh at his playfulness and nod. "Yep! All set!"
It's not too far to the hillside, but walking with the totes might be uncomfortable. However bringing the car doesn't sound right either.
"Say, how about we attach the wagon to the back of the bike and ride up?" He comes up with.
Your eyes light up at the idea and you agree. "That sounds perfect!"
You get your bikes out of the garage and hook the wagon to the back of his and set all your belongs in. Locking up the house you set off for the hillside.
It's a nice scenic route full of trees and flowers getting ready for fall. The pathway leading up makes it easy to maneuver but it gets a little tough near the top.
You both get off your bikes and push your way up to the hill.
"Oh wow!" You smile, tired but happy. It's going to be a beautiful evening.
The sun is just setting and the cooler air is coming in now. You park the bikes on the hill and set out a blanket while your husband gets out your meal.
"Happy fall, beautiful." He kisses your cheek as you make a toast and sip your warm spiced tea, then eat the dinner you had made earlier as the sun finishes setting.
As you both talk about your day and all the things you want to do this weekend, you're joined by a few other couples as dusk comes. They are a respectable distance away so everyone can enjoy their own small party.
You put the light sweater on you were reminded to bring and lay your head on your loves shoulder as darkness falls and only the stars and rising moon, along with distant city lights, provide enough illumination for the evening.
"Here, brought some cakes." He says, pulling sweet, snacky items from the tote.
You grin and take one and munch. "Thank you."
"It's so peaceful out here." He says quietly, enjoying the surrounding environment almost as much as your company.
"I'm so glad we're here." You whisper back, kissing his chin, sighing happily as he pulls you in for a hug.
No words are needed between you. The moon rises higher and you pull out a couple small pillows and lay back, the moonlight soon lighting up the sky and earth just as well and more charming then the lights of the city could. Out here on the open hilltop, even with a few others around you, it makes you feel like the only two people that exist.
"You know, it'll look even brighter in the early morning. Unless you wanna sleep out here, let's head back and get in a few hours. I'll wake you." He tells you, breaking the silence.
You contemplate actually staying out here all night, chuckling when he nudges you to get the thought out of your head. That's hours from now.
"Okay, let's head back." You agree, and stand to pack up your things.
You walk the bikes back down the hill and hop on and turn on a flashlight to help guide you on the pathway back to the house.
Putting the bikes away, you clean everything out of the totes and get cozy in the bed. An alarm is set a few hours from now and in the meantime you fall asleep happy in each others arms.
You're pulled out of sleep just after 530am, yawning and sitting up. You can always take a nap in a little bit.
Putting on robes and fuzzy slippers, you head to the porch with cups of apple cider and are in awe at how bright it is.
It is not only the last supermoon of the year, but the harvest moon of autumn, and even with some of the lights around you, it's still the most brilliant.
"Happy autumn." Your husband pulls you close on the loveseat, kissing your temple.
The moon sets just a bit later and as dawn comes you finish your cider and go inside.
Putting the cups in the sink you turn to him to suggest heading back to bed for a bit and are surprised to see he beat you to it.
You hurry to your room and pull off your robe, laughing as he's already waiting in bed with open arms and a smile of his own.

Nick and the team reporter always liking each other <they both were team rookies in 2019> and they finally got together at the start of this season after gerorge and jimmiy had force them to sit down and they had kept it on the dl till one post game where after she interviewed nick he kissed her or something
Tumblr media
We're Live! - Nick Bosa
Nick couldn't fight the smile that was growing with each step he took towards his beautiful girlfriend. He didn't even notice the amount of shouting his name other reporters were doing on the field as he approached his only favorite reporter.
They met the first week of his signing to the 49ers. He was a rookie, green behind the ears but eager to earn his spot and the trust of the organization and the fans. He thought she was beautiful and loved the way she smiled, her dimples showing, and how kind she was to everyone.
When she was reporting for the team and in her 'professional mode', as he liked to call it, she was confident and louder in her tone, but outside of that role she was a bit more reserved and laid back.
He liked that a lot about her.
They spent a good amount of time together his first year and he was bummed when she brought her new boyfriend along with them to the super bowl.
He tried to move on, meeting Jenna and spending two rough years with her, hoping for the best and trying to make it work. He knew though that he was never fully content with the relationship and no matter what, when she was in any proximity to him, his eyes would hone in on her and stay on her for however long she was in sight.
It pissed Jenna off and she started to accuse him of wanting the other woman.
He denied it, and felt guilty that he was still so drawn to her, but he couldn't tell Jenna that. He just said that they were coworkers and friends - that was it. And that wasn't a lie.
They fought a lot between his place in Santa Clara and the condo he owned and lived in in Fort Lauderdale during his off season.
When he found out about her breaking up with her boyfriend due to his infidelity, Nick finally started to distance himself from Jenna, breaking it off with her privately, enduring her angry reaction, and quickly reaching out to his friend.
Yet, while they grew closer, neither could take the leap to confess and make it official. They were the first person the other texted good morning to and good night to daily. Nick would sneak in to eat lunch with her at the facility and always gave feedback on her ideas for interviews. She in return listened to him talk about football and upcoming games, or would recommend books he could add to his list to read.
The change came when Nick was confiding in George his dilemma ("I just got out of a 2 year relationship that I was technically emotionally cheating and unavailable for half of. She'll think I'm a fucking dickhead.") and George going on to gossip to a nonplussed Jimmy G. about it.
Finally, Jimmy himself got the four of them together, set down the cold hard facts and ordered the two lovebirds to talk it out before escorting a nosy George Kittle out of the room.
And it was history from there. Except they had to keep it on the down low and Nick caught himself a few times almost slipping up and exposing them.
Well, today would be the day he actually did because as soon as she turned and saw him, flashing her beautiful dimpled smile and saying, "Congrats Nick on the win!" As if they were just friendly acquaintances, the rational part of Nick's brain took a vacation and the careless, irrational side that typically showed through in his older brother came out front and center.
"Thanks, babe." He said as he leaned down and pressed his lips to hers.
It didn't register at first until the sound of rapid flashes, gasps around them of other media personnel, and their team's own camera man saying, "Oh shit!" did Nick realize he made an oopsie.
He pulled back slowly, his hands still resting on his girlfriend's waist, as she stared up at him in total shock.
Finally she blinked and said lowly, "Nick, what the fuck?!"
"Oops?" He said sheepishly.
Yeah, oops..

What Shame Leads To
So, it's August 5th in Australia at least, so I'm going to go ahead and post this now. This is for Day 5 of Angstfest: Everyone Knows AU - Shame .
@lexosaurus, thanks for letting me use your biology concepts! Also, this is your fault.
Trigger Warnings: Major Character Death, Dissection, Explosions, Surgery, Mass Casualties
Danny took a deep breath as he watched his mother prep the lab table for surgery. He held it for ten seconds, then let it out. Jazz said that deep breathing was supposed to help with anxiety, but his stomach was still tying itself in knots.
“Hey, Danno,” his Dad said from where he was kneeling next to him with an IV drip that was already ready to go. “Do you need to go over the plan again?”
Danny nodded, giving his dad a shaky smile. He was glad he told his parents about the accident. Really, he was. The fight with the lunch lady had freaked him out. There was no way he was going to be able to face that kind of thing alone again. He needed backup and his parents were ghost hunters… even if they hadn’t done anything the first time around.
His Dad nodded back, confident as ever. It was the kind of reassurance Danny needed right now.
”Right,“ Jack said, ”We’re having a hard time identifying the structures in your abdomen from out here, so we're going to go in and take a look.“
Danny took another deep breath. When he said it like that, it didn't sound so bad. It was just taking a look around and figuring out what was wrong.
”Now, we're pretty sure all that ecto-radiation that's messing with the X-rays is coming from the blob right under your rib cage, so we're going to start there.“
Danny took another deep breath. He didn't like being reminded that there were unidentified things in his body now. Things that his parents couldn't identify. At least one thing that was spewing some kind of radiation.
”If we can verify that it's safe, your mom and I are going to remove the structure and put it in containment. Then we'll close you up.“
”And if it's not?“ Danny asked. He knew the answer. They'd been over it already. He wanted to hear it again anyway. He needed to hear his dad tell him everything would be alright.
”If it's not safe to remove,“ Jack said patiently, kindly, “We'll make as many observations as we can, sew you back up, and then figure out a way to remove it safely.” Jack laughed boisterously. “Either way, you'll be awake and eating ice cream before you know it.”
That was both a promise and an unfortunate reality. No matter what happened, Danny would be on a soft foods diet for at least a week and he wouldn't be able to go back to school until, well, that depended on if his parents were able to cure him or not.
He hadn't known for that first month, but there was a source of ecto-contamination emanating from inside him. It didn't just make him drop beakers and allow him to fly. It was potentially contaminating everyone around him and they didn’t know what continued exposure to ecto-radiation did to living people.
Of course, they had to tell the school. It wouldn't be right to just not tell people they were being irradiated. Everyone in Danny's class had to be checked over by a doctor and then by both Fentons because there was no one alive that had both a medical degree and enough expertise in the ecto-sciences to actually tell if someone was seriously contaminated. Thankfully, nobody was, but the fuss it stirred up was ungodly.
A lot of people wanted him kicked out of school and his parents charged with child endangerment. He didn't think Sam's parents would ever let her see him again. Tucker's were still allowing electronic communication, but nothing else. He wasn't going to be allowed back to school until they could prove he was decontaminated. Everyone knew and it was terrible.
He should have told his parents as soon as it happened. They could have kept it under wraps then.
”Dad,“ Danny said quietly, ”I'm sorry I didn't-”
“Hey,” his Dad said, softening from his earlier cheer, “I know we were mad that you didn't tell us. And, I'm not going to lie, your mother and I are still a little upset that you didn't trust us enough to tell us right away, but the important thing is that you did tell us. We can fix this now.” Danny smiled at his Dad. Of course, this would all be- “We just have to get that spook out of you.”
Danny's heart dropped to his feet and all the anxiety he'd been gradually releasing came back full force. That was the other thing he was trying not to think about: Phantom.
Danny had mixed feelings about that. On the one hand, he knew his parents were right. They were the experts. Being Phantom wasn't good for anyone, no matter how cool it was. On the other, being Phantom was the only reason he was able to get the lunch lady back into the ghost zone. He wasn't sure his parents could have done it even if they had known about the threat. And deep in his chest he felt a sense of dread so profound it made him want to run far, far away and never look back.
He didn’t like the way that his dad called Phantom a spook, either. Phantom was Danny. Danny was Phantom. The fact that it was easier to talk about Phantom as a separate entity didn’t make it true.
He looked at his dad. “What if this is a mistake?” Danny asked wearily, “What if taking whatever this is out hurts me.”
Jack's brow furrowed and Danny swallowed. “Danny...” he said, more softly than Danny had heard him get in a long, long time.
He jumped a foot in the air when he felt a hand on his shoulder. “Sorry sweetie, didn't mean to startle you there,” he mom said as she gave him a reassuring squeeze. He gave her a shaky smile in return.
“But, you're father's right,” she continued as she checked the monitors and the IV that Danny knew he was about to be connected to. “This is a good thing. We have a chance to fix this,“ she turned to look at him with a gentle smile, ”Besides, like we've said before, we'll stop if it isn't safe.“
Danny nodded, but he knew his nerves still showed. His mom knelt down beside him. ”Look,“ she said, looking warmly into his eyes, ”I know this is scary. I know it's hard. But, your father and I are going to be with you the whole way through. I promise, nothing is bad going to happen.”
Danny swallowed his fear. His parents were the experts after all. This would be good. He would finally be able to be around people again. He looked at his parents with as much confidence as he could muster. ”Okay, I'm ready.”
Jack slapped him hard on the back and Danny barely held back a grunt. “Thatta boy!” he said, back to his usual enthusiasm, “Now! Are you ready for the IV?”
The first thing Danny became aware of was the light. It was bright. So bright he could see it through his eyelids. He tried to move his hand to shield his eyes only to find that he couldn't move his arm. That was weird. He tried something smaller, just twitching his finger, only to find he couldn't do that either. He could feel the cool metal beneath them, but the motion itself was out of reach. That was the other thing. He was on something cold and metallic. That was weird.
There was someone murmuring to his right. Their voice was soft and familiar, but he couldn't make out the words. There was a soft clink of metal touching metal.
Danny looked towards the noise only to realize there was a mirror above him. Huh. Apparently his eyes were open. He looked at his face in the mirror. His eyes were closed. Weird.
Then he noticed his chest and his-. No, his breath didn't hitch. His breathing was normal. So was his heartbeat. His thoughts, though, those raced.
In the mirror, he could see himself cut open on the operating table. The incision went from his navel to his sternum and a retractor held his skin, muscles, and layer of fat back, leaving a four-inch-wide opening. He could see his muscles and organs moving inside as he breathed. His ribs peaked out right at the top of the opening. He felt sick and wondered if he would see his stomach move if he wretched.
A scream manifested in his mind, but not his body. Not so much as a twitch indicated his panic. His vitals stayed steady.
His vitals stayed steady and his muscles didn't move.
The most striking part of it, all of it, with all insides on display, was the glowing ball just beneath his lower ribs. It pulsed with a steady rhythm. It flared as he felt the phantom of a hitching breath.
”Remarkable,“ he heard his mother say. As she came into view, he noticed she was in full surgical gear. Her ecto-proof hood was drawn up and her goggles were flipped down. She was wearing a surgical mask. If he hadn’t already heard her speak, Danny would never have recognized her as his mother.
She was doing something with a scalpel and a test tube, but he couldn't quite see what with her hand in the way. He wanted to cry out. He needed to tell her to stop, that was awake, but he couldn't do anything.
His vitals stayed steady.
The little light right beneath his ribcage flared again.
”Absolutely remarkable,“ Maddie repeated, ”Jack come look at this.“
”What is it, Mads?“ Danny saw his Dad come into view. He, too, was dressed for surgery, PPE completely obscuring his face. Maddie pointed at something in his abdomen and Jack leaned over to take a better look, causing Danny to lose sight of them in the mirror as they crowded over him.
“The concentrated ball of ectoplasm here, it’s started to pulse.” She looked over at her husband. “You have the camera in your goggles recording, right?”
“Of course, Maddie,” Jack said, brushing her off with patient affection, “Just like the last few times you asked.”
Maddie sighed. “I know, it’s just, there’s so much to learn.” She gestured to the same place in Danny’s abdomen. “I mean, we’ve theorized about ghost cores, but look at this. It’s close to confirmation.”
“Yes,” Jack said, sounding pleased and proud, “Danny-boy really is something else.”
Danny could feel his mother frown in the silence that followed. He couldn’t see her face. “We have to get this out of him,” she said.
Danny was drenched in sheer, unadulterated panic. No, no, no, no. That was a bad idea. A bad, bad idea. He just knew it. Something bad would happen if they did that.
Jack hummed and furrowed his brow, almost putting his gloved hands on the mask covering his mouth before realizing he shouldn’t. “Is that safe?” he asked, “Look at all those tendons, it’s fused to his rib cage.” He pointed at something else. “And look at those glowing tendrils. I don’t even know what those are.”
“I don’t know,” she said, voice skeptical. She paused. “Maybe we could…” She trailed off, moving closer with her scalpel. All of Danny’s senses screamed in unison: Danger! Danger! Danger!
Maddie stopped and shook her  “No, too risky. Even with this thing in him, he’s not in immediate danger.” She turned to her husband. “Jack, let’s just take a few samples and close him back up. We can try again when we have a plan.”
“On it, sweetums! I’ll get more sample bags,” Jack said and Danny felt himself relax. Terror drained out him even as his mind registered that it wasn’t actually good for whatever that was to be in him.
But, now, they were closing him up. It didn’t really matter if he should be relieved or disappointed. All they needed was a few samples and then they could talk about this whenever his muscles allowed him to move again. It would all be okay, just like they promised.
“Now,” Maddie said, narrating her process to her husband, “I’m just going to get a sample of the outer membrane of this-”
Danny felt all the panic flood back into his system. No, she couldn’t! She couldn’t touch it! Something terrible would happen! Everything would -
Her scalpel nicked the membrane of his core and everything went green.
Danny came to awareness drifting in a sea of green. He startled and and jerked. There were purple doors floating around him, structures building and destroying themselves in all directions. In the distance, Danny could see islands suspended in mid air. He swung his arms wildly and flipped over trying to orient himself.
“Careful there, dearie,” a familiar voice said from behind him.
Danny flipped himself around again to find himself face to face with the Lunch Lady. “You!” he shouted, getting ready to fight. He didn’t know where he was or what was going on, but he wasn’t going to let her hurt anyone.
The Lunch Lady put her hands up.  “I’m not looking to fight,” she said, “I just wanted to see if you were okay. You reformed in the middle of nowhere, afterall.”
“I reformed?” Danny asked. His mind was spinning. What the hell was going on? The last thing he remembered was being on the operating table and then-
“When a ghost gets hurt badly enough, sometimes they’re core will react by taking them out of the mortal plan and reforming them in what you know as the Ghost Zone.” She put a hand on her cheek, looking thoughtful. “Though, for you, I guess this might be more like a first forming, since you first formed inside yourself and, after that, your mortal body can’t possibly exist anymore.”
Danny’s mind was reeling from the first sentence enough that it took him a few seconds to react to the last. He blinked. “What do you mean my mortal body doesn’t exist anymore.” He was wary. This sounded like a trap.
The Lunch Lady smiled sadly at him with kind eyes. “Someone nicked your core, dearie. It vaporized you.”
That was… There was too much going on there. One thing at a time. “What’s a core?” An image of his mom standing over him and talking excitedly about how this might prove their theories appeared in his mind’s eye. “Is that the glowing thing that was contaminating me?”
“Well, I would call it contamination, dear, it’s-”
“And what do you mean vaporized?” Yeah, okay. Screw one thing at a time. He needed to know everything now.
The Lunch Lady’s smile grew even sadder. “You had a lot of energy in your core, dear. That’s what gives you your form. When it was nicked, all that energy was released and I’m afraid not much can survive that much power. It really was impressive.”
Danny gulped. Okay. Did that mean he was dead dead? Not just kinda dead? Wait, if it vaporized him-
“What about my parents!?” Danny shouted. The Lunch Lady looked like she wanted to cry, but was holding on to her smile as a last facsimile of reassurance.
“I’m sorry dear, they were standing so close to the blast…” She paused, seemingly grasping for words. “It would have been quick,” was what she finally settled on.
Danny clutched at his hair in grief and frustration. “How do you know this?” he asked. Maybe she was wrong. Maybe she was trying to trick him.
The Lunch Lady looked uncomfortable. “Well, there were a lot of echos and I was right near the portal when it happened-”
“No. No!” That couldn’t be right. That had to be a mistake.
“-And ghosts are already starting to form from the blast. That was hard to miss.”
Danny stopped. “What do you mean ghost’s are already starting to form? Are my parents…?” He didn’t dare finish the sentence. He didn’t know how he would feel either way.
“I don’t think so,” the Lunch Lady shook her head, “They were so close to the epicenter and there was so much ecto-energy. They would have already started to form by now.”
An epicenter. Oh God. What did that mean? “What ghosts are starting to form?” he asked again, this time in a whisper. Did he take out the whole house? What Jazz home? Was someone walking by the basement windows? Was there shrapnel?
“I’m sorry, dear, it’s hard to say right now. Amity Park was a big town and-”
“Amity Park?” he asked, cutting her off yet again. She just smiled sadly at him yet again in an oddly patient way. Why did she keep doing that? Just the other week, they had been fighting.
“I guess I won’t be able to hide it forever,” she said. Danny’s heart stopped. Was this where the fight started? Was this all just a trick? “You have a powerful core, and it was even stronger before so much of it was released. Amity Park is gone, dear.”
No. No. No. This was so much worse. He looked at her same sad smile. This wasn’t a trick. This was pity.
She was talking again, but he couldn’t hear her. Why? Why did this happen? He just wanted to help his parents find a cure. He just wanted it to be safe for him to be around his friends.  All he wanted to do was make his parents happy. He killed them all instead.
Danny turned away and wailed into the vast expanse of the Ghost Zone, tears streaming down his face.

Faker faker (Legend) part 2
Tumblr media
Pairing: Legend x reader
Rating: G
Summary: After overhearing the chain teasing you about your feelings fir him you and Legend finally get it together.
Warnings: None
Other: If I missed anything, please let me know
-------
You sit among the other heroes with a nervous sort of energy. Your (fake) boyfriend is out clearing a monster camp, which leaves you to host his companions for lunch alone.
Though lunch is over and cleaned up now.
"You're working yourselves up." Sky says calmly, "Is someone wrong?"
"Oh! No! I'm just worried for Link."
"The love of your life?" Wind asks helpfully from his spot, looking at all your maps.
"Of course he is." You say, trying to ignore all non fun facts about your relationship with Legend.
"You do know, he told us. Right?" Warriors tilts his head at you.
"He did?"
"Yes. We know you aren't really dating."
"Oh. Weird. No one else does." You say, looking away from the group of heroes.
"You're real gone on him, aren't you?" Twilight asks, "It's cute."
"Why would that matter, even if I was?" Ypu ask, turning your soured gaze to the country born hero.
"Cause you're both dense as goron boulders." He says, as if this is obvious.
"That sounds like Link is head over heels, which isn't true."
"Oh dear Hylia," Twilight groans, "Time tell them."
"I stay out of matters of the heart, thanks."
"You're married."
"Cause Malon basically scooped me up and did all the hard work."
"You're the most smitten man I've ever met. And we know Legend."
"Okay, even if you're right, why hasn't he ever asked me out for real?" You ask, taking pity on Time.
"Because he's stupid." Warriors answers, "obviously. "
You frown at that, displeasure written all over your face. Your link is not stupid!
"He is not!" Ypu declare, shooting Warriors a glare. "Link has never been stupid."
Warriors laugh at that, which does not go over well with you.
"Don't laugh at me, Link is not stupid!" You say, sharp and angry.
"I'm not laughing at that. Just you and him." Warriors manages as he catches his breath.
"And what's funny about us?"
"You two have been dancing around each other for how long?" Warrior asks.
The door opens, but you don't hear it over the indignation ringing in your ears.
"How are we dancing around each other if Link dosen’t feel the same way?" You ask, and it's obvious you think the sentiment is funny.
And yeah, sure, maybe it hurts to have what you want dangled in front of you. But you know how things are, and you can find it funny, or you can let it hurt. One seems better than the other.
"Well, for starters, you're both head over heels in love and too dense to admit it." Twilight adds helpfully.
"What in Hylia's name is going on in here?" Legend's voice asks sharply.
You turn quickly, heat rising shamelessly to your face. "Link!"
"Didn't I tell you all to stay outta my buissness?" Legend demands, gaze narrowing at the group of heroes.
"We're just helping (Y/n)." Warriors defends as he pits his hand up in a placating motion.
"Link it's okay! They were just messing with me, like a joke." You say.
Maybe you aren't thrilled with the other heroes, but you know you don't want to cause a rift in the group.
Legend turns his hard gaze to you- and it softens a little. Not much but a little.
"Don't lie to me, babe. They have guilt all over their faces." He says, falling into habit while annoyed.
It's easy to call you the pet name. Comfortable even.
"Link, c'mon. Please?" Ypu ask, and your voice is very gentle with him, "It's not important they're just teasing."
Legend should feel some sort of shame at how fast he gives into you, really. But he dosen’t. Everyone has a weak spot. His happens to be you.
"Fine. But I'm still talking to them about this later."
You give him a smile, "That sounds fair."
Twilight gives the suggestion look to Warriors and Time both. The rancher is obviously in a playful mood today.
Time just shoots a stern look that has ypu biting back a giggle.
"Did you get enough to eat for lunch?" Legend asks, coming to stand behind you and wrap an arm across your waist.
Just totally platonic friend things, you tell yourself.
"I did. Did you get lunch?" You ask, turning to get a good look at his face.
"I did."
"Good." You say, flashing another smile at him.
Wind snickers at that, which earns him three different glares from three difficult heros.
"That's it. If you don't live here, get out." Legend says, annoyed coming back into his tone.
"Legend we were just-" Wind tries only to be showed away by Time and Sky.
At least Time and Sky seem to mean well.
It takes about five minutes before everyone clears out. By the time it's just you and Legend, he looks pretty tired.
"I'm gonna kill them. I'm so sorry they were being dicks-"
"Link It's fine. I think they genuinely meant well." You say, and to your surprise, you do believing it.
Legend gives you a deadpan stare, but when you don't do anything but smile at him, he sighs.
Relaxing, Legend allows himself to accept that it's okay.
He has a feeling that based on the things he heard, they were telling you about his feelings. And you're so sweet you don't even bring it up.
But if you know- if you know you both need to talk.
So Legend remobes his arm from you and stpes back a little. To create the space he needs for this conversation.
"They told you... didn't they?" Legend asks, eyes moving from you to stare out the window.
You frown, raking your brain for what he's talking about. "That we're both dense?"
"No. They told you I had feelings for you. I heard it... You don't have to play dumb to spare my feelings."
You actually hear a record scratch.
What?
"I don't think I ever expected you to feel the same. It's fine. Just tell me if you want to stop being roommates. I understand that we're probably going to stop the fake dating thing -" He's rambling now.
You can't follow him.
"Stop." You say, "Link, please stop."
Legend falls silent. He looks seasick and ready to bolt at any moment.
"Just slow down. Do you have feelings for me?"
"Yeah...."
"Oh." You say.
That doesn't do it justice. There is so much more than Oh happening in your hed.
Legend blocks, looking surprised at your lack of response. "Oh?"
"Good. I meant good. I have feelings for you too."
It's Legend's turn to look confused. "What?"
"I love you. Like, a lot. Like romantically?" You trail off, nerves worse at the way he stares.
"Whoah." Legend manages, all the eloquence of a fresh colt behind it.
"Yeah..."
"This- changes things."
"Probably so."
"For the record.... I love you too."
You soften, giving a gentle smile. "Yeah?"
"Yeah."
"You wanna- actually date?" You ask, and it's so awkward.
Why is it so awkward?
(Probably because you're both opening up feelings you've tried to hide for a while.)
"Yeah. I'd like that, (Y/n)."
You giggle, and you can't help the way your creeks warm up.
"Can - can I kiss you?" Legend asks, ears and cheeks both pink.
"Please." You say.
Legend closes the small gap between you two and leans towards you.
He cups your face with both hands and pulls you in. He presses his lips against yours softly.
You kiss back gently, and when you both pull away, you giggle again. This is such a long time coming.

DREAM MEISTER & THE RECOLLECTED BLACK FAIRY
Tumblr media
KAI - VOICE COLLECTION
"Ugh. Professor Est's assignment is so incredibly difficult. It's giving me a headache."
"Hey, you feeling okay? You're not pushing yourself too hard, are you?"
"Take a break today, it'll be fine."
"If you ever feel unwell, don't hesitate to rely on me."
"I'll make sure you recover properly."
"How's your health? Your body is your most valuable asset."
"If you feel any discomfort, let me know."
"Don't push yourself too hard. I'll heal everyone. Radiant light."
"Damn…I still have a lot to learn."
"We should make some medicine together later. I'll make sure to heal you properly."
"This is the first time Magia Seminar has ever had a Guild Keeper. If you ever run into any problems, just let me know.
"Leave injuries and illnesses to me."
"Don't neglect your efforts to stay healthy, okay?"
"You've really settled into the guild. Your support is great, I'm relying on you."
"Watching you makes me feel like I can't lose. It's seriously motivating…Keep up the good work!"
"The desire to help someone is the same for both doctors and Guild Keepers right? So many you and I will get along well."
"Between lectures and patient treatment, there's a mountain of things to do, but we can't afford to stop here."
"As long as you're here, I can chase my dreams without hesitation."
"Alright, let's start another day of medical care!"
"If you're not feeling well, it throws me off too. That's why I want you to let me nurse you back to health."
"Taking a leisurely stroll is good for your health. How about going for a walk today, Emma?"
"Ah, it's been a while since I took a walk! Let's have a good dinner tonight and get to bed early…"
"I've got quite a few piercings, you know. Even though I'm a doctor. Do you think it's a bit too flashy?"
"Did it hurt getting my piercings? Not at all."
"My piercings are like my good luck charms. I try not to lose them, but sometimes they vanish and it gets me all worried."
"Actually my little sister bought me these piercings. Pretty cool, right?"
"Could it be that you're thinking about getting a piercing too? If you do, make sure to disinfect properly."
"If you're scared, I can give you a piercing myself. I know how to make it painless."
"Hobbies, huh? That's a sudden one. Well, I enjoy going on little food adventures."
"I like hanging out with Ange. Even though she doesn't like me that much. At least I'm more liked than Sion, right?"
"I'm really into card games too. People often say it makes me childish, but what can I say, I like what I like."
"But you know, the best thing is when I'm learning with the others at Magia Seminar. Like when we decipher Sensei's cryptic lessons, or I mess around with Sion. It's a blast."
"Now that you're here, it's even more fun."
"It's kind of unsettling when someone's checking your pulse, right? Oh, wait, is that just me?"
"Your arm is pretty slender, isn't it? Are you eating properly? If I put too much pressure, it might just snap."
"You want me to check more? Is it that much fun for you? Haha, sometimes you act like a kid."
"Here, let me see your wrist. Huh? Did your pulse just speed up a bit? Why is that?"
"Your face is kinda red, too…Do you have a cold? Hmm…Doesn't seem like it."
"Doing this…It reminds me of the old n' days when I used to wander around aimlessly just for fun. Huh? Oh, I'll tell you about it sometime."
"Ah, I've been sitting in the clinic all day, so it feels nice to stretch my body. Alright, where are we heading today?"
"Huh? Is my hat a bit crooked? Weird. I thought I was wearing it like I always do. Anyway, thanks."
"Hats are pretty cool, right? They can hide bedhead in an instant, and, most importantly, they look stylish!"
"Whenever you reach up to fix my hat it's so cute. Haha."
"Heh, my bad. From now on, I'll squat down so you can fix my hat. Thanks."
"You know what, since we're talking about it, let's buy you a hat! We'll pick one out together!"
"Ah, thanks for the massage, you're a lifesaver, seriously. I've had a string of consultations lately, and I was getting really stiff and uncomfortable."
"Ah, your thumb is hitting just the right spot, right below the shoulder-blades."
"Whoa, that feels…Mmm…You're quite skilled, aren't you?"
"Your arm must be getting tired, right? Let's switch and I'll give you a massage. Just so you know, I'm really good at this."
"Damn, you're super tense. Been accumulating stress, huh? Even if you're busy, don't push yourself too hard."
"I've been relying on you for everything. I'll gladly give you a shoulder massage anytime. Just ask without hesitation, okay?"
"Thanks. Mmm…It's incredibly tasty! Want a taste of mine?"
"Hey, aren't you a bit too close? It's not that I dislike it, but well, it's just making me a bit nervous…"
"You must be tired. I can tell just by looking at your face. Don't push yourself, please."
"Being with you is a really soothing experience."
"Hey, what do you say we don't head home just yet? Let's take a detour."
"Sorry, I just don't feel like letting you go just yet. I'd like to spend a little more time alone together."
"You're quite assertive sometimes, you know? It's not that I mind, but…I can't help but worry about if you're this intimate with anyone other than me."
"Your hand is so soft…I didn't mean it that way!"
"You don't want to let go? That's a cute thing to say…Alright, let's keep walking hand in hand."
"Normally, I wouldn't let anyone touch my eyes, but with you it's perfectly fine. It's really strange, isn't it?"
"What's that? My eyes are beautiful? Aren't you going too far with that flattery?"
"I have dark circles under my eyes? Well, it doesn't bother me. Besides, even if I am tired, you're here to comfort me."
"Make sure you only show this side to me, okay? I don't want anyone else seeing you so defenseless."
"You know, being with you really lifts my spirits. I'd like to be your personal doctor. Haha, what am I even saying!"
"Wait, is this…A birthday present?! Even though you're so busy, you still made time to get me something? Oh man, I'm so happy I can't help but smile."
"Listen, Emma, a person only has two arms…Haha, I appreciate it, but really, it's too much."
Gift (Likes) : "Oh, I love this! My spirits just went through the roof! Thanks a bunch!"
Gift (Likes) : "Wait, you got this for me?! Woah! I'm honestly so happy about it. Um, how should I return the favor?"
Gift (Neutral) : "Oh, what's this? You got it for me? Thanks, I'll gladly take it!"
Gift (Dislikes) "Uh, well…You know, I was hoping for something a bit different. Did you maybe forget something?"
-
KAI : Hey, Oboro, there's a dried fruit mentioned in this book, but I'm having trouble with the drying process. Can you help me out?
OBORO : Before relying on others, did you make an effort to research it yourself? I won't lend my wisdom to a slacker like you.
-
KAI : I'll make sure I get a better score on the next assignment than you do…! Prepare yourself, Sion!
SION : You never get tired of saying that, do you? How about learning at least one magic circle while you're busy bickering with me?
-
KAI : Huh!? Est-sensei, you put chili peppers in the coffee again…? Consuming too many stimulants isn't good for you! It's not healthy!
EST : Actually, I feel much better with a little spice…Why don't you try it, Kai? If you get injured, let me know right away.
-
KAI : Don't slow me down, Sion!
SION : That's my line, you single-celled organism!
-
KAI : I'll heal you. So show them what you're made of.
OBORO : I'm not thrilled about this.
-
KAI : Hey Sion, you have a scratch. Let me heal it.
SION : Heal your own injuries first!

[Kitchen]
Master Chef ― Epel Version ~ Let’s Make Stew 1~
Ghost Chef: ―The dish we'll have you make today is a stew.
Epel: A stew… Whew, I'm glad it's not some fancy-sounding dish I'd never heard of before.
Epel: I've made a ton of stews and other dishes like it back home, so I think I might be able to do this!
Ghost Chef: Alright, then let's get started. First, let's cut up the ingredients.
Ghost Chef: Make sure to cut each one up evenly into bite-sized pieces. First let's tackle the potatoes.
Epel: Got it! They've already been well washed, so I'll leave the skin on.
[chop, chop, chop, chop…]
Ghost Chef: Oho, not bad. Only, these are a little too large to be considered bite-sized…
Epel: Eh!? Oh, now that you mention it, I guess the stuff in the stew we eat here in the cafeteria is a bit smaller…
Epel: We usually have super chunky fillings in the stew back home, so I just chopped it up thinking of that.
Ghost Chef: I see. Well, if we cut them in half once more, they'll be a little too small… Let's just cut the other ingredients so they match the potatoes then.
Epel: Got it. Okay, I'm gonna cut up all the rest of the potatoes.
Tumblr media
Epel: I've finished chopping up the onions and potatoes.
Ghost Chef: Good, the onions are cut perfectly into wedges. And you've even rounded the edges of the potatoes. Well done.
Epel: Mah gran… My grandmother taught me while I was helping her prep food back home.
Ghost Chef: Your grandma really knows her stuff. Did she also teach you how to handle a knife?
Epel: Ah, well, I can use a knife probably 'cause I've practiced carving a ton, I guess?
Epel: We're a family of apple farmers back in Harveston, and there's always a ton of damaged apples in our bushels…
Epel: But if I could carve some patterns or pictures into the apples while taking out the damaged parts, they become worth something again. That's why I've worked hard to learn how to do it.
Ghost Chef: You mean you sell them? That's amazing, I'd love it if you'd show me what you can do.
Epel: Hehe, sure. If I was to choose out of these stew ingredients… These carrot slices would probably be the best choice.
[slice, slice…]
Epel: Here you go, I'm done!
Ghost Chef: Ooh, you've carved a beautiful flower design into the carrot! You really are quite skilled.
Epel: Hehe, thank you. Want me to add decorations to the rest of the carrots too!?
Ghost Chef: Eh, no you don't have to… Wow, you were just raring to go, huh!
Ghost Chef: You're making me feel a little bad for throwing these beautifully carved carrots into the soup…!!
Tumblr media
Epel: ―Stir flour in with the sauteed ingredients… Okay, this seems mixed enough, I think?
Ghost Chef: I think so too. Next, we'll add milk, water, and consommé, and let is simmer. You'll want to stir from time to time so the flour doesn't burn.
Epel: Got it!
Ghost Chef: While it's simmering, let's go over everything we've done so far. Do you have any questions?
Epel: Yes, sir! Please tell me of any foods that'll help me grow taller or more muscular!
Ghost Chef: Eh? There's nothing that screams "eat me and grow" like that. After all, the most important thing to think about is nutritional balance.
Epel: Really!? And I took this class hoping that I'd get to learn about ingredients that'd help me get bigger…
Ghost Chef: Epel-kun, you said your motivation for taking this course was to learn how to control your nutritional intake to help shape your body, right?
Epel: Yes. I want to grow taller, and gain more muscle than I have now!
Epel: Everyone back in my village said that if I ate a lot, exercised a lot, and slept a lot, I'd grow big and strong…
Epel: And still, I never got any good results. That's why recently, I've been trying to eat even more than usual…
Epel: But my Housewarden scolded me something fierce, saying that my nutritional intake was completely off.
Epel: He also said, "figure out what you yourself need and choose the right food to eat," too...
Ghost Chef: Ah, so that's what this is about. I understand. I'll make sure to go over the perfect ingredients and nutrients that you need, Epel-kun.
Epel: Please and thank you! Ah, but wait one moment, I need to get out a notepad!!
Tumblr media
Ghost Chef: ―And there you have it. Do you see now that the stew we're making now also has a ton of nutrients that's good for you?
Epel: Yes, thank you!
Epel: There were so many new words bein' thrown my way that my brain's overloaded… This whole nutrition thing is a lot harder than I thought…
Ghost Chef: Alright, here we go, Epel-kun, let's do the finishing touches. Put the chicken and broccoli into the pot and let it simmer for an additional 5 minutes!
Epel: Got it! I'll throw in the pre-cooked chicken and broccoli and… There we go.
Epel: Oh yeah, by the way, we're making a savory stew today, but… does the cafeteria menu ever have sweet stews?
Ghost Chef: Sweet stews?
Epel: Yeah, it's got stuff like apples and nuts in it… It might feel a little like it should be a dessert, but it's not too sweet, and it's got a great flavor.
Epel: You can eat it hot or cold, so whenever I got sick, mah gran… my grandmother would make it for me―
Epel: Or…? Maybe it's not really a thing…? Maybe gran just came up with it…
Ghost Chef: A dessert-like stew, hm. I feel like I may have come across in some small village before… I'll look it up later.
Ghost Chef: It may be interesting if we were to serve it as promo dish in the cafeteria. I'm sure it would be delicious if we used the apples from Harveston.
Epel: Hehe, and 'cause the apples from Harveston are super delicious, it'll quickly become a popular dish, no doubt.

Master Chef ― Epel Version ~ Let’s Make Stew 2~
Epel: That smells good… I think this stew came out amazing!
Ghost Chef: I agree. You did a good job cutting the vegetables and stirring the pot. All those times you helped out back home really came in handy.
Ghost Chef: Now, plate the stew and let's head out to the judging venue.
Epel: YES, SIR! ALRIGHT! AH'M GONNA WINNIT!
Tumblr media
[Cafeteria – Judging Venue]
Riddle: A pleasant aroma is wafting out from the kitchen… It seems my food will be served soon.
Epel: Sorry to keep you waiting. This stew must have been what you ordered, Riddle-san.
Riddle: Why, hello there, Epel. You must be taking the elective this time around.
Riddle: I am still in the midst of my own studies when it comes to cooking… But as I was selected a judge for this, I shall make sure to give you my sincerest assessment.
Epel: Urgh, feels like you'd be super strict, too… Please take it easy on me…
Tumblr media
Epel: Once more, I present to you the stew you've ordered.
Epel: It's still hot, so take care not to burn your tongue.
Riddle: On closer inspection, I see that there is a design carved into the carrots. How wonderfully intricate.
Epel: Hehe, thank you! I'm actually pretty good at carving, so.
Riddle: As for the ingredients in the stew… These seem to be a little larger than the ones normally served in the cafeteria.
Epel: Hehe, don't you think that makes it worth eating?
Riddle: Perhaps, but they do seem a little too big… These are bigger than my spoon.
Epel: Yep. I bet it'll really fill you up!
Riddle: R-Right, okay. I shall dig in, then.
[bite, chew, chew…]
Epel: …
Riddle: …Mm, delicious. I was a tad worried, since the vegetables were cut a little large, but they've been perfectly cooked through.
Epel: Thank you very much! And this stew isn't just tasty, it's also chocked full of nutrition.
Riddle: Chocked full of nutrition…? Could you elaborate further?
Epel: Sure! Uhh… One second.
Epel: Carrots are rich in Vitamin A, while potatoes are rich in Vitamin C.
Epel: The broccoli has a ton of fiber. The onion has an anti, uh… antioxidative effect? Yeah.
Epel: Chicken has a ton of protein. And the milk used for the stew has a ton of calcium!
Epel: There's a lot of other nutrients that are good for the growing body…
Epel: Uhh, so basically… Stews are the perfect dish to help you grow!
Riddle: I was a little startled because you suddenly brought out a notepad, but… Did you write down all the nutrients of all the ingredients you used for this dish there?
Epel: Yep! I can't remember things just from hearing it once, so I took notes as the Chef taught me while we were cooking.
Epel: I wanted to figure out what kind of nutrition I need for my own growth, which is why I took this course.
Epel: I was writing everything down real fast, so there's some parts I can't read, but…
Riddle: …There's no point to taking notes if you cannot read them back later.
Epel: Urgh… Yes, you're right. I'll make sure to check with the Chef again later…
Riddle: That being said, I think it's spectacular that you are attempting to further your own knowledge in order to reach your goals.
Riddle: Just as you say, it isn't only about the appearance or taste, but also the nutrients that go into it. I shall also take this moment to learn something.
Ghost Chef: We always make our dishes while thinking of that nutritional balance, so it's lovely to see Epel-kun this invested.
Epel: I-It's a little embarrassing to hear you say that, but… Thank you for your kind words!
Epel: It's much more fun to learn about nutrition through cooking rather than reading through a musty book…
Epel: I'm gonna keep on learning about nutrition and get me a super muscular body!!
Ghost Chef: I don't think you'll be able to get muscular on your diet alone, but… I'm glad to see you so motivated.
Epel: Alllright, I'm gonna work even harder! Chef, I'm looking forward to some more of your instruction!

Jim Hopper x male reader married headcanons
If you’re an afab guy you can read like 90% of this as I mean male reader in the sense that he uses words like “husband” to refer to you.
--------------------------------------------------------- Here we're working with husband! Jim Hopper, my favorite, imagine any season Hopper you want as this doesn't have a specific season Hop.
CW: public almost sex, I guess a brief mention of internalized homophobia?? and mentions of scent kinks, anal sex/fingering and that's it.
This list is mainly fluff, with some smut.
Also a special thanks to my discord friend, as they helped me to come up with some of these!
He proposed to you after the most luxurious dinner date at Enzo’s, he asked you if you were down for a nightly walk in the forest, after you agreed, you stepped out and knelt down on one knee, before asking you to be his husband, you obviously replied yes.
You both could barely wait to get home, after what seemed like an eternity you finally got home and fucked for hours, alternating between him topping you or him bottoming for you.
For your wedding he quite literally invited the whole of Hawkins, you will never forget his reply when you asked him why: “Darling, this is all so incredible, but why basically the whole town” “Because I want everyone to know you’re mine,” he said, smiling.
On top of you being his, you also agreed to his surname, he also wanted you to have his surname, but he asked you with a lack of confidence that was unusual for him. “Maybe… if you wish…. you could take my surname?” he said, with a shy smile. “Oh my fucking god, yes, Jim, yes”, you smiled “I want to be yours”
The sex didn’t decline or get less common, if anything he seemed even more needy for you, on sex filled nights, after you both collapsed exhausted, he’d constantly try to push his dick back inside you, or he’d try to get his ass back on your dick.
Not that he didn’t do this before your marriage, but after you two were married he would rope you in for a wild, wet kiss right in the middle of the park, him getting off on the fact that everyone could see how fucking in love you both were and how you were his and his only.
Again, in public you would sit on his lap.
He’d also kiss you so often, literally every 15 minutes you could expect him to kiss you, and for him to call you his beautiful husband, he loved doing that especially since it was hard for him to accept his bisexuality, but now he loved you, and loved the fact he was married to a man.
The night that made both of you cry was when he started sobbing into your chest, telling you how happy you and El made him, how he finally had everything he’d ever wanted, how his wish of having a family and someone to love was there.
He’d hold you as physically close to him as possible and would would whisper things like “I love you so fucking much sweetheart”
The man is secretly a softy, and you couldn’t love that more, he’d tear up a lot as he still isn’t fully used to the amount of love you give him, you loved being able to be his husband, to call yourself that, those 2 magical words “Jim’s husband” always made your day.
As much as he loves eating you out he has the same amount of love for getting eaten out, and you happily satisfy his needs for that, you love tasting his musk on your tongue and you love how he squirms at your tongue in his ass, and occasionally, your fingers rubbing his prostate, and him shooting in your mouth.
Though as much as he loves bottoming, he does top more, but that's fine by you as his dick can make you feel so many things at once
Both of you LOVE scents, while he likes you to wear sweeter scents, such as vanilla or pine cone, he sometimes puts on cologne, but he knows how no scent can do for you other than his musk, be it from his pits, dick, you love his scent, and he knows it, he also loves how your smells mix together during sex.
When you’re sleeping, well “sleeping” according to Jim, he grinds against your ass, only for you to moan as he does this, then he sees you’re awake and the real fun starts.
When in public and he grabs your thigh, crotch, anything that isn’t your hand, you say a quick “Babe!” or “Jim!” while looking at him, he always replies “Huh, can’t touch my husband anymore’” with a teasing little smile, fuck, if it wasn’t so cute you’d scream at him.
As much as he seems very dominant, and trust me, he is, he also has a sub side, letting you cuff him and edge him as well as him doing the same to you, or letting you top him, or teasing him endlessly.
Seems like you’re making this man that used to be grumpy very, very happy…

a second chance
Tumblr media
genre: fluff and a sprinkle of comedy heh
pairing: seungcheol x fem reader
word count: 2.4k (i went a bit overboard and i know this is more than the limit. i'm sorry :c)
content: childhood friends to strangers to lovers, flashback moments, office au
author's note: this is so late omg but this is for @rasparagus from your secret santa :3 hope you like it! i lowkey struggled to make this for so many weeks. i even changed the idea like a million times BUT is okay. we did it so is fines lmfaoo but yeah. merry christmas gurl! and happy new year as well to everyone!
~ ~ ~
you stared across the cubicle divider, glancing every now and then at your childhood best friend. he was hired not even 2 weeks ago and management was already treating him like a veteran employee. the workload was enormously stressful for you. you couldn't imagine what it would be like for someone as new as him.
and yet, you couldn't muster up the courage to go over there and help him.
you saw him fully focused on the task at hand. it was almost closing time at the office, but he was like a statue at his seat. papers spread across his station as little sticky notes were franatically placed on his cubicle wall. and if you looked closely enough, you could see the frustration in his face. eyebrows furrowed as he tapped his pen in annoyance.
if this were any other time, you would have been over there hours ago. if you were still kids, you would've been there in a heartbeat.
~ ~ ~
"so... why haven't you guys dated yet?" your coworker, seungkwan asked, eating his food as he slouched in his chair. dokyeom was behind him, who was eagerly trying to overhear the conversation.
"because we're not friends anymore."
"mhm sure. because strangers look at each other like that," dokyeom prodded, glancing at seungcheol sitting at his desk who quickly looked away and back at his papers.
"so why did you really not date yet?"
"because he's taken." your voice was stern and straightforward, yet you made sure none of them could notice how much you missed him.
it was a hard few months after he made it official with his relationship and it was even harder trying to adjust to losing him as a friend. you both naturally drifted apart when she came into the picture. partially because she didn't feel comfortable and partially because you knew you couldn't handle seeing it. and if sacrificing a friendship for the sake of your mental health was the better option. so be it.
even if it killed you on the inside.
"you haven't spoken to each other in years. things could have changed," seungkwan added, trying to find a rationale in this. you appreciated the sentiment, but it wasn't something you needed. he was being too hopeful.
"and what makes you say that?"
"because he said he was single," soonyoung peaked up from the other side of the cubicle divider. everyone turned to face him as he flashed an innocent smile.
"so sorry for eavesdropping. you know these website articles are only so interesting for a short period of time." he waved his hand, fluttering at nothing.
"that's so interesting considering you have a deadline in 2 days," dokyeom teased, taking seungkwan's food and throwing it at him.
"you missed."
dokyeom was about to get more food ammunition when seungkwan hit his hand away. he glared in response.
"so wait... how do you even know he's single?" you questioned, doubt settling in as the timing seemed a bit too good to be true.
"for someone that used to be the eye candy around this office, you know when you have competition."
dokyeom gagged at the word and seungkwan did the same. both reaching in for food ammo and throwing it at soonyoung. he stood there and accepted his fate.
"and this is what i get for my service?"
"thank you for your kind service," you teased, batting your eyelashes obnoxiously so he could see the sentiment. soonyoung rolled his eyes as he sat back down, groaning at the work that he had to do.
"well here's your chance. take it."
~ ~ ~
seungkwan's voice rang in your ears. easier said than done, you would've said to him. anything would have been easier than this.
yet it didn't register that you got up from your seat and started walking. it also didn't register that you had food in your hand to offer him. not until you had the courage to say something when he was now standing before you.
"hi."
his eyes widened when he saw you, dropping the papers he had in his hands. his mouth gaped open, but nothing was coming out. your heart was racing so fast you could have sworn he heard it too.
good thing his heart was pounding as loud as yours.
"hi," he croaked, clearing his throat quickly at the sudden realization of how he just somehow lost his voice to speak.
you couldn't believe you were doing this. maybe there was still time to back out and just leave. quitting the office seemed like a good option right now.
"do you want to sit?" he managed to say, his eyes were tired, yet something was hidden behind them. you couldn't muster enough words in the english language to think of a response so all you did was obliged to the request, sitting in the empty chair next to him. like it knew you belonged there.
"thanks."
you sat there, playing at the wrappers of the food that you brought for him. you didn't say anything other than how you pushed the food towards him. he understood the gesture and hesitantly helped himself to the snacks.
"so..."
"so..." he mimicked. it was taking him a lot longer to accept the fact that you were sitting there right in front of him. he never took into account how much you've grown since you last saw each other.
and yet, you still got him nervous. even after all these years. if only you knew what happened when you left.
"how are you?" he treaded lightly. strands of hair falling on your face as you looked down at the question. you wanted to shake him for asking something so stupid. you wanted to tell him that you left because you needed to. not because you wanted to.
"i'm fine, how are you?"
it was a dry response. even seungcheol could see that. he never truly understood why you left. maybe because you didn't want to disrespect his relationship at the time. maybe he was so caught up with himself... he neglected the one person who was there for him since the beginning.
~ ~ ~
"CHEOL I HAVE A BANDAID!!" you screamed at the top of your little lungs. you trudged against the snow, running as fast as you could towards him. he was at the bottom of the slide, gripping his leg at the scrapes that ensued.
you finally reached him, taking the bandaid and placing it on his knee.
"there!" you smiled as your cheeks were growing pink from the snow. he giggled at your response, turning his leg to show all the other scrapes he had. your eyes widened.
"i think we need more bandaids..."
"you're dumb," he smiled at you for trying.
you smiled back at him.
you really liked how he smiled.
~ ~ ~
"i'm okay," he replied, "the editing for the articles are killing me though."
he gestured to his screen and you silently leaned over to pull the monitor towards your direction.
"oh. i can help you if you want," you drifted and he perked up with a soft smile, admiring what he saw in you and what he didn't realized he missed all those years.
in other words, he missed you. deeply.
you grabbed the monitor and politely asked if you could see his work. he gladly gave you the room to figure out his problem as he casually munched on the snacks before him.
he couldn't help but look at you. your face was confused, yet determined. something about it was calming to him. that even with all the years that kept you apart, something in you managed to stay beside him.
~ ~ ~
seungcheol came running down the dorm hall, accidentally bumping into a few students along the way. he was overly excited to tell you the good news. not only did he ace one of his hardest finals, but he also got the girl he had the biggest crush on the moment they arrived at the university. all thanks to you.
he eagerly pushed the door open to your dorm, suprised that he saw your bed completely empty. no sheets, bed covers, and pillows. everything was missing. your roommate at the time looked up and gave him a weak smile.
"she left."
and that was it. his entire world collapsed before him. the sand was slipping thru his fingers. you left without saying goodbye. not even a quick notice sufficed the hole that was growing inside his chest.
"why?"
that was all he could say. your roommate stayed silent, even after seungcheol repeated the word over and over again. to the point where it didn't sound like a word anymore.
the confusion quickly slipped into frustration as his eyes burned with sadness moreso if anything. he was trying to build up the anger, but it melted into numbness. he left the room, questioning everything.
you two were a team. that was what everyone said about you both when you were growing up together. and yet, the term felt meaningless now.
~ ~ ~
it was almost midnight at the office and the more you looked at the computer screen, the more the words didn't look like words.
"i think we should stop," seungcheol began, glancing over at your tired face and sleepy eyes. you didn't even process the words coming out of his mouth until he turned off the monitor.
"but seungcheol, your deadline is—"
"it's fine. this is more than enough," his voice was so soft. the fatigue was getting to you because the chair looked like a great place to sleep tonight. if you gathered up enough papers, you could pile it into a pillow and just knock out right there. it was a great option, which is why you didn't move when seungcheol called for you.
"let's just sleep in the office. so we won't be late for tomorrow." you managed to say, which made him laugh.
"that's actually a great idea." he replied, organizing all the papers back to where they came from. he then offered his arm to you so you could find the energy to get up.
"are we actually sleeping here?"
seungcheol laughed and shook his head no. he was holding you up with his arm wrapped around your shoulders. it wasn't long until your head naturally fell into the crevace of his neck.
his heart was pounding in his chest. it felt like an echo coming into his ears. something about how you fit so perfectly there made his cheeks turn pink. he was so grateful you couldn't see him like this. actually, he was very grateful that no one could see him like this.
"y/n?"
"yeah?"
you both stood before the elevator now. the office was finally locked up and the lights were off. as if there were no memories or traces of what had happened just a few hours ago.
"i just wanted to say thank you."
and that's when you looked up at him. lifting your head slightly from the warmness of his shoulder. and that was the first time you truly looked at him.
he was tired as well, but was trying very hard not to show it. his hair wasn't as fluffy as it was when you were little, but he still maintained it enough to make himself look as handsome as ever. his eyes were soft and his cheeks were flushed.
"oh. you don't have to. it was just—"
"no for coming back."
his voice was steady, but grew increasingly nervous as he looked back at your voice with a sense of urgency. you didn't react. you just blinked at him.
"i left because i had to. not because i wanted to."
and that's when seungcheol finally understood.
"i didn't want to take up your time with your girlfriend. she was your priority. and seeing you two together... i couldn't do it."
the words were coming out of you like a waterfall and you were too tired to press on the brakes. you thought about this moment a million times. would it have been easier to confess how you felt before? would it make a difference if you said something sooner? anger tried to boil up inside you, but it was soon washed over with just sadness.
"you do realize that you have always been my priority right?"
and that's when you stopped talking. you finally saw what he had hidden behind his eyes.
hope.
it wasn't long until you were surrounded by him. arms holding you so close. his grip tightened the moment he heard you whimper. you couldn't help the tears that slowly formed and fell onto your cheeks.
it has been years since you were in a state like this. and for the first time in a long time, you saw what seungcheol saw. what he knew the moment he met you. something that you never wanted to admit to yourself that you felt.
love.
the elevator announced its arrival with a ding. seungcheol had to let you go as you turned away to wipe some of your tears.
you both entered the elevator as the machine began to move down. and you just looked at each other with some kind of fondness that broke into a laugh.
seungcheol wanted to take a picture. he hadn't seen you smile like that in a long time. to hopefully remember all the memories and to make up for all the lost time you were apart.
"are we... are we doing this?"
the elevator stopped at the lobby and as the doors opened, he slowly grabbed your hand. interlacing his fingers with yours. seungcheol glanced at you once more before stepping outside.
"absolutely."

[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3] Part 4:
"Okay, if you understand me, then say something," the tech told Kiddo.
"I did not intend to trick you thank you for not leaving me behind please don't eat me," it said in a rush.
Well, the translation dock worked. Jana was sitting on the floor in eir quarters. The tech gave their version of a thumbs-up and departed. "Hon, I promise I won't eat you. I do not feel like I was tricked, just surprised, and that isn't a bad thing. Humans would never leave a child behind, okay?" Ey held out one hand, patting eir lap with the other. "Do you want to sit here? A human child would, I don't know how you roll."
Kiddo sat awkwardly.
"I'm going to tell you some stuff about humans, alright? You can interrupt me at any time if you have questions, or want to tell me how something is different for Peprine." Ey paused. "Actually, do you want -- I'd offer a human kid ice cream but I don't know if you can have that. Is there a food you only get to eat for special occasions? A treat?"
Kiddo's ears twisted back and forth. "One time at an education event we got to try alien foods and there was a human food called, um.. hohonut? I think? Do you know what that is?" "Coconut? A big piece of white stuff?" Kiddo nodded, so Jana looked it up in the kitchen catalog. They could grow them but they came whole, hull and all. Ey ordered it and a glass and a knife, and ordered a hammer and screwdriver from the engineering catalog.
"It'll take a little time and we're going to have fun getting it open. So. Humans. Um. Okay. A human family... Well, a TAOL unit is two, sometimes three bonded adults and any non-adult offspring related to them." TAOL units, traditional and/or legal units, were the galactic council's answer to every species having its own definition of family. And knowing what it entailed made this, talking about humans in an anthropological sort of way, a little easier. "It can get more complicated, but that's a standard unit. But a human TAOL unit doesn't break up just because the children grow up. Some humans pair up for life, and usually offspring will stay in contact with their parents, and their parents' other children, unless there's a reason not to. I still call my mom -- my mother, my female parent, human gender is different from Peprine, I'll explain it later, I gotta make sure the translation dock isn't going to be weird about it -- I still call her all the time. I don't talk to my father, my male parent. And I have a brother, another of my mother's offspring, who --" There was a thump and then a clanging as pods arrived from the kitchens and from engineering. Jana patted and then gently pushed Kiddo off eir lap, and retrieved their goodies. "The good stuff is inside. Usually when humans buy these on earth, this softer outside layer is already gone, so I don't know how to get it off. It'll be an experiment." Ey sat on the floor again, holding the coconut still with eir feet, and swung the claw end of the hammer into it before levering off what it caught. "That works. Okay, questions so far?"
"How are you DOING that?" "This would be heavy for you, eh? Humans are pretty strong for our size, comparatively, I guess. But swinging it like this makes it hit a lot harder, I couldn't push it in by myself, gravity is helping a lot."
Kiddo didn't look like it believed that.
"So, that's how human TAOL units work, but humans also do what we call 'found family', or what a lot of aliens call pack bonding? Have you heard of that? Sthani said you'd heard humans are friends with everyone." "Finding children is normal?" Jana laughed. "Well, not quite. It means sometimes we bond very tightly to... to friends, to people who have been good to us, to people we know need us," ey said pointedly. "But also that we get possessive of things, I guess. Like most ships with a lot of humans will find that the humans get angry if people push the cleaning robots around, things like that. Protective. It's sortof hard to explain, AS a human. To us, it's strange that other species don't do that." The outside hull was mostly off the coconut, and ey reached for the screwdriver and pounded it into one of the "eyes". "Maybe we'll ask Sthani to explain it from a Peprine standpoint." "That wasn't ALIVE was it?" Kiddo was so nauseated it looked like it would melt. "No, no no no. They just look like this. I promise you they aren't." Ey pulled the screwdriver out and pounded it into another eye. "It's a plant. Not an animal. These are just very, very big seeds, so you can see all the little details." Jana rested the punctured coconut over the cup so the water poured out of one of the holes, and stood up to find a towel. "I'm going to do a strong-human thing again. It's going to be loud but you don't need to be scared." Ey wrapped the coconut in the towel and BANG, BANG, BANG, whaled on it with the hammer. "I guess that's how it is a lot of the time. I understand why other species to be scared of us, but they don't need to be scared of us."
Ey unwrapped the coconut, now broken into pieces, and began to hand Kiddo a piece. "Oh, sorry, wait." Ey knifed out chunks, prying and cutting in a way Kiddo couldn't with only two out of eight fingers, to give to it. Ey took a swallow from the cup of coconut water, before offering that too.
"Maybe we're strong because so much earth food is like this. Or maybe it's like this because we're strong. I don't know. Sorry, Kiddo. I'm told we're loud and strong and reckless, we're very difficult to seriously injure... But... We're nice, too. ... On earth there was this old, um, like a holovid but not interactive? from before holovids were a thing. A 'movie', it tells a story about a little girl whose parents have both died, so she's being raised by her sister -- another one of her parents offspring. And the little girl accidentally befriends an alien, thinking it's an earth animal, and the alien is hiding from other aliens, a whole bunch of silly things happen. It's from before we'd met aliens at all, it's all fiction, fake. But the point is, one of the lines from this movie is 'Ohana' -- a word in the little girl's native language --."
Kiddo was staring while it chewed on the piece of coconut.
"Sorry this is getting so complicated. 'Ohana means family. Family means no-one gets left behind.' The movie had so much other stuff in it and that's what humans remember. If you tell a human 'Ohana means family,' they'll say 'Family means no-one gets left behind.' Even humans who haven't seen the movie, they'll have heard other humans say it. I think the whole line is 'no-one gets left behind or forgotten.'" Jana hurriedly tapped "Peprine ear fluid" into eir handheld. Answer: Kiddo was starting to cry. "You're okay, alright? Are you-- are you alright with all of this? If this is too much we can try to find another elder, if --" "No, no, don't leave me behind!" More ear fluid. "Okay. I won't. I won't. I don't want to. That's what I told them on that planet -- you're my kid now, we'll figure it out." Ey shook the bits of coconut shell out of the towel and offered it to Kiddo. "I have two, maybe three more things to talk about today, okay? They're things for you to think about, it's not anything that we have to deal with right now. One," ey held up a finger, "If you want, when you want, we can go talk to engineering-medical and see if they can make you some fake fingers. Humans do it all the time. One of my best friends growing up had a fake leg, it let her walk around and do almost anything someone with two real ones could do."
Kiddo hid its fingerless hand behind the fingers of its partly-fingered hand.
"Two, I think we have to register as a Peprine TAOL unit, but humans also have a method for making kids they aren't biologically related to part of their TAOL unit. So if or when you want, we can also register as a human TAOL unit, maybe after we figure out what that means." Kiddo rubbed its ears with the towel. "Third, when a human has children, then those children are also 'grandchildren' to the adult's parents. The kids call the adult's parents 'grandparents'. And some parents, like my mom, get really excited to be grandparents. So when you're ready, I can tell her she has a grandkid now, and she'll want to meet you or videocall you... and she'll probably buy you all sorts of stuff. Toys and books and treats, things like that." Kiddo's ears lifted (a smile), it understood that. "Oh, and if I accept them that makes her my grandparent?" Jana smiled at it. "Nah, she's your grandmother anyway. I guess she became your grandmother as soon as I said I was keeping you. But it's tradition for grandparents to buy that sort of stuff for the grandkids. It's about affection, not a transaction. And they love it. You're her first grandkid, she's going to go all-out. It's like... like having another Elder whose job isn't to take care of your body, but to try to make sure you're happy."
Wow. Some Elders had multiple kids, but a kid with multiple Elders was something else. "I.. I think I'll like that."
