Lmfao Part 4 is Twin Peaks I'm 🤣 I'm gonna be fucking cackling at that for the rest of the night (lowkey I have been too scared to watch twin peaks cos I wasn't allowed when I was little and the reboot reminded me just how creepy it all was but I know the basic idea)

I think JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is the quintessential example of postmodern art and here's why:

This fucker's a high school student with AC/DC cufflinks which are a reference to both the band and his stand power which is electricity get it he plays the electric guitar check out these cool riffs and all these Rockstars he can name, oh and his stand is called Red Hot Chili Pepper.

Hirohiko Araki has carte blanche to jam every reference to everything into every new zany wacky character he comes up with, and his stories work because they are based in a very solid foundation of narrative structure. I am certain he goes "What if I tell a story where good triumphs over evil?" and just decides on a whim to put in a scene where a guy who might be an alien can't maintain his form as several tiny dice (done for cheating purposes) because he is allergic to the sound of emergency sirens and breaks out in hives and throws up while still dice. Yknow, for flavor.

Jellicle Name Generator

This will give you a name that is relatively in-line with the naming conventions seen in Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot and later adapted into the musical Cats by Andrew Lloyd Webber - and unlike those shitty "last name and your birth month" name generators, this one won't doxx you in the process.

Before we begin, a bit of terminology we'll be using: - Portmanteau: Turning multiple words into one word linked by a sound or letter. Compelling Television = Compellevision. Punk Squid = Squnk - Smoosh: Combine words by simply removing the space and (optionally) changing the word positions. Country Jester = countryjester - Prefix: Goes before the name, like Mr. or Captain - Suffix: Goes after the name, like Jr. or The Great - Cat-like term: Something associated with cats. SECOND: Roll another D20 for flavor

I joined this blog a couple of minutes ago and I'm now realizing that I have a lot of story to catch up on, so could you maybe give me a quick run down of everything that has happened so far?

(I asked this same question on your "Joys Of Reality" blog but then I noticed that it was a side blog so now I'm re-asking this question here lol)

Gonna be real even a quick run down leaves a lot out, so I recommend reading it from the beginning if you have the time(link can be found in the blog’s pinned post)

That being said I will make an attempt

Zeus and Mnemosyne are trapped within an abandoned facility, in a digital program(they’re romantic partners)

With the help of various people they manage to create phsyical bodies for themselves

Something goes wrong in the process, Mnemosyne is left in a coma for several months

The fear and stress causes Zeus to mega evolve, alerting Fuji(OG Mewtwo) to their location

The duo are brought to Mirage Island, where they get aid from Fuji and Joyce(First movie Nurse Joy)

Agnita(the sample donor of Mnemosyne’s body) catches wind of Mnemosyne being unwell and helps them recover with some speedy gene therapy

Mnemosyne eventually wakes up, the duo is now free to experience life as flesh and blood

Sometime around this point Janus(OG Mew) makes their way to Mirage Island since “what why is there another Mew I’m the only Mew”

Mnemosyne gets pregnant

Seeing as Mnemosyne has no idea how to handle a Mew’s power and is now trying to bring more into the world, Janus offers to help them get to know the basics so they(and the unborn mittens) at least don’t blow the place up

Mnemosyne goes into labor

Various factors cause their first born, Calliope, to be born premature and weak, it’s expected she won’t last the night

Janus begrudgingly gives Calliope a boost, they’re alive and well but still pretty frail compared to their siblings, Clio and Erato

Also Callie’s blind(?). Another side effect of being premature, but it’s okay she’s got Oops, her seeing eye ‘mon

Seeing as all is well, Fuji heads out to find this other Mewtwo he’s being told about

There’s a kinda interlude here where we spent some time with Janus TL;DR Janus is very old, very tired, and isn’t ready to be Callie’s grandmewther even though Callie is PERSISTENT

Mnemosyne has a VERY bad time in a VERY bad dream with a VERY bad pile of slop that totally isn’t relevant to the story(he is, his temp name is “Goopy”, people love him for some reason)

Joyce gets super worried after watching Fuji’s vitals spike while he’s away

Joyce fails terribly in thinking Fuji went and got himself killed after he’s late coming home(man is late ONE TIME-)

Surprise! Fuji isn’t dead but his main and secondary neck have some pretty bad wounds that are Concerning™️

Double surprise! That Mewtwo he went to go find? Yeah she’s a feral little kitten that tried to divorce Fuji’s head from his body

Her name is Bellatrix(Movie 16 Mewtwo)

She’s very grumpy, enjoys pecha juice, and has now grown very attached to Joyce. Still thinks Fuji is a jerk tho but they’re working on that

the ask about Orpheus running away from Dream and Calliope: OBVIOUSLY they’re both like “clearly the problem with our relationship is we need a third person! Hob will fix everything for us! Sexily!” And Hob is like “sure :)) yeah I’ll be your dom :))))” and Dream and Calliope high five and then Hob ties them up and, once again, orders them to talk. They’re both like “wat” and Hob is like “you’re both idiots, fucking me isn’t how you fix your relationship, you just want an easy solution. Also if I’m joining this mess it’s not going to be as your therapist jfc”

Dream and Calliope feel properly chastised, and do their best to actually discuss their problems while Hob makes himself tea.

Hob will eventually dom them in a more fun way, and the three of them figure out how to all have a healthy relationship together. It’s just a lot of Hob squirting them both with a spray bottle when they start to argue at first.

(Orpheus and Robyn are also given spray bottles. It definitely gives Dream and Calliope some perspective on how ridiculous they’re being when their son has to spray them in the face to feel comfortable not running away when they fight.)

Alsksjfhshah poor Hob. If only he wasn't so desperately attracted to wet cat people.

I like the idea of Dream and Calliope 1) waking up to the fact that their marriage troubles are hurting their son and trying to fix it because of that but also 2) using Hob as motivation to fix their relationship. Every time they feel like giving up, one of them will remind the other "if we quit now, then we don't get dommed by Hob!" and they go right back to working on therapy stuff/communication/intimacy issues.

After a couple of months Hob sits down with Dream and Calliope again while Orpheus and Robyn play on the swing set. Dream and Calliope basically give a presentation about how they've been trying really hard on their marriage and actually have made progress, but they still want Hob to enter the relationship. Not to fix anything, just because they like him.

And hey, emotional maturity is sexy. Hob agrees to give it a go, as long as the kids are top priority. Dream and Calliope totally high five under the table.

Yes, the spray bottle may be implemented during the first scene the Hob has planned for them. Bad little bratty kittens need to be punished somehow.

Summary: When you’re 10 (for a human) or the equivalent (for not-human), you’re given (during your sleep) a pet, representation of your soulmate. Thing is, both soulmates need to be born for them to appear. Dream of the Endless thought he didn’t have a soulmate, until a puppy appear near to him while meditating. On Earth, at the same moment, it is the year 1356 and Robert ‘Hob’ Gadling is just born. When he’s 10, he got the poshest, biggest black kitten with a very mean streak. Of course, neither Dream nor Hob see themselves in the other’s pet.

Epilogue: The (many) changes that one little surprise can make.

How having a soulmate and an animal companion changed things for the Endless and Hob.

Things weren’t perfect but they were good.

Let’s begin with Destiny. Everything began with Destiny. 200 years after Dream got out of the fishbowl, his soulmate was born. His companion was a snake-like creature with iridescent scales and 4 eyes the colour of amber named Rainbow. His soulmate (an historian, Mere-phre) was from a planet far from Earth were people could change their gender to adapt to the situation, their companion was a spider named Fatalis.

Death’s soulmate was born a long time ago but they couldn’t met until 2054. Indeed, Death’s soulmate was Hestia, Goddess of Hearth and Home. Death’s companion was her goldfish, Slim. Hestia’s companion was another goldfish named Wandsworth. The two fishes shared an aquarium and their companions, Death’s home. When Death got home, she felt the tension wash away just because of Hestia’s presence.

Dream, the Morpheus version of him, didn’t die. Daniel was always meant to be his successor but now, they could do things at a quieter pace. It was 10 years after the Corinthian was remade that a companion appeared for both him and Daniel. Corinthian had a ram named Cream Puff and Daniel had a wolf named Hunter.

Destruction’s soulmate was a French preschool teacher named Adelaïde Beaubois. When they met, Adelaïde thought his art was his son’s art. It was very awkward but she invited him to teach painting and colours to the 3 to 4 year’s old kids once a week. They absolutely loved him. It wasn’t long before he got an official contract.

Desire’s soulmate, Unity, lived in the Dreaming, after sacrificing herself instead of her dear Rose. She was close enough to Desire’s realm they can meet often. Sugar, the fox met Peacock, the Dove.

Despair’s soulmate was born the 19th January of the year 1809 and was one of Dream’s protegé. His name was Edgar Allan Poe. Despair was surprised when a baby raven appeared near her but she loved Melancholy. Edgar has a very smart rat named Gloom.

Delirium’s soulmate came from a planet not so different of Lewis Carroll’s Wonderland. She was absolutely smitten with Folly, her white rabbit and Liddell, her soulmate, a metamorph, had a wolpertinger named Hat.

Do you remember that Calliope had a raven has a companion (whose name is Luka)? Well, apparently, it was because she had a Raven (or ex-raven really) as a soulmate. Dear Lucienne, who had a hummingbird named Lyra.

They lived and had adventures and reunions and children. But this is another story.

Episode 10 - Pesky Cats!

Violet held Buttercup’s hand as they made their way to Buttercup’s first day at Willow Creek Elementary. Buttercup was shaking with nerves, but had a wonderful day.

Agnes was stunned and outraged to discover that even her beloved cats, Calliope and Demeter, had broken her ‘NO CANOODLING!’ rule. Her sense of betrayal grew to furious anger when she discovered that Calliope was expecting kittens! She threw them out into the back yard, muttering with anger.

Fuelled by indignant rage, she finally decided what to do with the evidence she had gathered about the Black twins’ nefarious dealings… nothing… yet… she would watch, wait, listen and plan. Besides, she couldn’t shop them to the police until she’d got some new tenants lined up could she!

She spent the afternoon preparing to host a Christening for her adored godsons Toby and Tate Tickle the next day. First she baked a gorgeous cake, then practised her speech.

It was going to be the perfect day. Nothing could go wrong. Could it..?

I apologize, my wee brain is having massive block and an ouchie...so it's more of a blurb than a whole story, but I hope you enjoy....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

It was Flor's birthday, so of course they HAD to do something special and the Princess and the Grigori knew just what to do. Flying her down to NOLA, they sent CJ to the airport to pick her up while they got everything ready at Annabella's Garden District mansion for the celebration. Of course Ember and Halo had to be in attendance. What would any party be without a fire breathing cat that ate souls and a cat from Heaven that no one was exactly sure what would happen were Anna threatened, but given Adriel's protectiveness, no one was willing to chance it either. Sensing the return of the Mercedes, the women cast the spell over the front doorway that would make this a birthday that Flor would not soon forget. Anna's trademark smirk in place, she picked Halo up off of the floor and ran her fingers through his long, feather soft fun as she waited for the other two women to join them. For her part, Calliope was just about to bounce like a bunny next to her with excitement. She loved parties, she loved surprises, and she loved birthdays.

Flor and CJ came up the front walk, CJ following so her look of excitement would once more give way to giggling with excitement for what was about to happen. She so sucked at surprises. It had been hard enough to make it across town from the airport with traffic on I-10 sucking and coming to a standstill more than once. Thank the Source she had been able to make it without needing to call in a favor from a demon or Horseman!

As the door opened to Anna's house, and they stepped through, instead of stepping into the interior of the over 200 year old mansion, they were transported to a whole other realm, Purrvana. It was a realm inhabited solely by feline based species, and they had the whole day booked at the Purrvana Sauna & Spa. First would be biscuits massages, then mud masks applied by the most skilled paws, pedicures with nail trimming, of course, and throughout it all they would be treated to endless wine and cat themed goodies. While Anna and Calliope had brought their own cats with them, CJ and Flor were told to go ahead and pick one or more tiny kitten companions to be their guides and assistants for the day. Their kittens would ensure all needs were met and also that they had lots of purrs and attention. The only thing Flor would need to do is enjoy her birthday and try not to get completely covered in kitten fluff.
