my most controversial gravity falls take is that it shouldve been mabel helping pacifica with the ghosts in her mansion instead of dipper. i redrew some scenes in hopes people will see the vision :)

ive been working on these pieces for like. two months now (i kept getting distracted) so i also added some early concept art under the cut!!!

Back in Oct. 2018, my project for inktober was at least one pic from every episode. Because of the pace, there were restrictions; I did each on a post-it note, limited coloring, and chose things that would fit the square format and that I could get done in time (between working full-time and owl-banding most nights). I always sort of wanted to redo a bunch of those; but really, what occasion would merit putting in THAT much time and effort for a project of that size?

Well, how about for the 10th anniversary of the premiere of Gravity Falls?

I’m not saying this was a *smart* project to tackle, but I thought it might be “easier” because I had first drafts of most of the pieces; I just wanted to redo them so they’d look better, with 4 more years of practice under my belt and a new move to digital art. (Narrator: it was not really easier.) Some I redid completely, or did new to create the full sets above. Basically, once I’d hit on this idea, and decided to link it to the refrain of “How Far We’ve Come”, I was committed; there was no way I was going to *not* try to do it.

I know that “How Far We’ve Come” gets fanvidded for eight billion different shows. But, the first time I heard the song was in one of the first Gravity Falls fanvids I ever watched (link below), so it will always be a GF song for me.

Gravity Falls has meant a lot to me for the past 6 years that I’ve been active in the fandom. I have no doubt it will always have a big place in my heart. I’m definitely not done with things I’d like to do for it. I’m so glad to see people coming together to celebrate this big anniversary!

(it's exam season for me so here's a very shitty imagine)

Trying to study and getting stressed & anxious because I can't memorise this shit for the life of me and she walks towards me with a sigh. She pats my head and leans down to kiss me, her hands pressing my shoulders and neck soothingly to make me relax. She slowly puts her legs on either side of me and settles gently into my lap, kissing me deeper, as her hands wander all over my arms and quickly slip under the hem of my shirt.

I moan into her mouth the moment her cold fingers grab my sides.

Do you want to take a break, baby?

I make a face, still worried about everything I need to cover. Her hand finds my breast, and she gives a soft squeeze, flicking her thumb over a nipple, and my skin gets goosebumps in familiar anticipation. She smiles. She knows how I melt under her. She grabs my chin and twists my head to the side. Then leans forward, sucks on my ear and says,

You've been doing so well, let me help you rest a little.

I curse in a whisper and connect our lips again, my hands involuntarily getting hold of her neck and waist. Oh, how grateful I am to have my love.

Happy 10th Anniversary Gravity Falls!

And Happy Birthday to Stan and Ford! And also Happy Birthday to Alex! And @eregyrn-falls! And me! (It’s been an eventful week!)

We’ll meet again some sunny day!

And they didn’t.... Because Bill is still a statue.

But everyone else got together for a reunion at a secluded lake with a lovely view of the cliffs!

Headcanons for this:

Mabel dyed her hair during quarantine and never looked back.

Pacifica asked Mabel to give her some purple streaks once they were vaccinated and able to get together again.

Dipper kept working out since his encounter with the Manotaurs because he wanted to be able to keep up with his Grunkles on future adventures.

Mabel ended up with more of a large, strong woman physique from continuing to carry Waddles around as he grew.

Dipper and Mabel both eventually needed glasses like their Grunkles.

Ford finally got new ones and miraculously hasn’t broken them yet.

Stan hasn’t cut his hair since passing the title of Mr. Mystery on to Soos.

They both earned a spattering of white hairs to go with their gray from encountering (and running away from) anomalies around the world... And maybe from dealing with each other’s terrible jokes for so long.

Soos and Melody started a family. They’re not sure how many kids they want yet.

Fiddleford and Tate have mended their relationship and work on an invention, fish, or hike together at least once a month. Fiddleford made them an ice fishing shanty-bot and revisited his robot legs idea for long hikes.

Candy, Grenda, and Mabel are still best friends but now with the addition of Pacifica to their group.

Wendy stuck around to help her dad with his business and is still the coolest woman in town.

Thank you to everyone who made this show possible! I’ve met some amazing friends and super talented creators in this fandom and have loved every minute of mysteries, anomalies, and ciphers! It got me through some rough times, inspired me to draw again, and inspired me to write several hundred thousand words.
