i understand the poll is not over yet, but this is the clear winnder! i've been watching a ton of wedding content recently, so i was so jazzed to receive this request. thanks anon!

Leon has his sights on a much more important title

Husband

And the first step to gaining that title?

Finding a wonderful, awesome person that he loves and loves him back unconditionally?

He’s already got that covered!

Spoilers! It’s you!

Now he has to take the next step

The proposal

With Lee, I can see this going two ways, depending on the kind of person you are

If you’re someone who loves the spotlight, a fellow elite-class trainer and/or a major celebrity

I can totally see him proposing to you in front of a massive crowd in Wyndon Stadium

After an intense heart-pounding match

If you’re his opponent, when you go to shake his hand after the battle, he’ll take it

And drop down on one knee

If you’re just watching the match, he’ll call you out to the pitch

As the new head of the Galar League, he’s already got the staff clued in, no surprises with them

You walk onto the pitch to a roar of applause, having an inkling of what’s about to happen, where Lee gives you a kiss, takes your hand and get into position

Presents to you a little velvet box

And gives a heart-warming but brief speech

He’d love to go on, really pour his heart out… but some of the things he wants to say are just for your ears only

The whole time the audience is waiting on bated breath

With the occasional holler of “Go Leon!” and “Say Yes!”

Somebody did shout “Say no! I wanna marry him first!”

Which admittedly made you chuckle

The whole proposal is being broadcasted on the big screen, and across the region, maybe even the world

Which means, when you say – no, exclaim - “Yes!”, It’s the yes heard around the world

The crowd goes W I L D

Just an eruption of clapping and hollering and screaming

But you don’t register it at all

No, you’re too focused on the love of your life, slipping a gorgeous ring on your finger

And taking you in his arms

So warm, and strong, and perfect

He holds you to his body like you’re the most precious thing to him

Which you are

“I love you,” you hear him whisper in your ear

Your answer comes in the form of a passionate, triumphant kiss

Which makes the crowd go even crazier

Now, if you’re someone who’s more introverted, private and/or not a fan of public proposals

I imagine it’d go a little something like this;

It’d be a proposal in your shared home

And he’ll pull out all the stops to make it as romantic and as cosy as possible

He’ll secretly take a half day from the battle tower to prepare everything while you’re busy with work/school/etc.

The whole living room will be transformed

I’m talking candles (with your favourite scent)

Bunches upon bunches of favourite flowers

An arch decorated with said flowers

And so many photos of the two of you together from your relationship

Plus, ones of you that he just thinks are cute

He’ll prepare your favourite meal or order your favourite takeaway too

And he’ll wait by the front door, practically buzzing with excitement (and a touch of anxiety)

I mean, he’s pretty sure you’ll say yes

But he has an old, toxic friendship with doubt so, it’ll always be there, whispering falsehoods

You arrive home

Greeted by the sight of your purple haired himbo

And the lovely display he’s set up for you

It’s not your birthday, so you know something special is afoot

Even though, you’re certain it’s going to end with a proposal, you still end up feeling surprised

He takes your hand and walks you through all your memories together, reminding you how much you mean to him, how lucky he is to have you, how you’ve always been there for him, how much he loves you

And how he can’t imagine his life without you

It would be too painful

All ending with him getting on one knee under the arch of your favourite flowers

You’re crying, he’s crying

As you say “Yes!” and share a tight embrace

No matter if his proposal is public or private, the wedding is DEFINITELY private

That celebration of your love with you friends and family, just isn’t for the world to see

Except a few photos on social media a week or two later lol

It’ll be cute, quaint rustic affair

Probably in Wedgehurst or Postwick

In one of those farmhouses that double as wedding venues

Raihan is most likely best man

Hop’s just a bit too young

But he’s definitely a groomsman, and the ring bearer

He and Wooloo take this job very seriously

If you for one second think Charizard isn’t also a groomsman and wearing a bowtie, you’re SORELY mistaken my friend

The guest list is mainly your and his friends and family, and the Galar League

For the life of me, I can’t imagine Lee in a plain black suit/tux

He’ll at least wear a jacket that’s a colour that suits him

Probably something that’ll match the colour scheme

Let me tell you one thing

Well, two things

Lee will definitely cry

And he will carry you over every. single. threshold.

No exceptions

When he goes in for the kissTM he’ll cup your face and kiss you with so much love and passion you’ll be breathless

I’m sorry but that just gives me butterfrees

He will give a speech and a toast to you at the reception

It’ll be heartfelt and dorky just like him

Raihan’s best man speech is funny, and just a touch irreverent

He definitely harps on about how you’re way out of Leon’s league

And how smitten Lee is with you

When it comes to the cake, if you let him, Lee would like to smush a bit of it on your face

Just a little smush

Which he fully expects you to do back to him

Again, only if this is something you want

You two will definitely feed each other cake either way though

During the whole reception (and before) Lee just has this goofy, lovestruck expression on his face

He gives you heart eyes the entire time

And he keeps asking if it’s really real

Is he really your husband now?

You delight in telling him yes, every time

 Your first dance is basically just the two of you hugging while you sway to music for like three minutes

The world disappears, and it’s just you and your husband

It’s perfect

After a fantastic night of food, dancing and fun

Leon picks you up and carries you over one last threshold

Sure, the night may be done, but the fun? That’s not over yet ;)

Leon

Moving in together was Leon’s idea. It was fun for the both of you as well as your Pokémon. Leon never felt so happy with you around as you were him. Though the moment he saw you and his Charizard cuddling together with you on the couch and Charizard with his head in you lap as he sat on the floor, it was curtains for him. Leon has always noticed that Charizard had taken a liking to you but to this moment he was sold you were staying in his life until the end of time. There was no doubt in in his mind that you were the one.

Raihan

Since Raihan has known you, you have always dressed a bit more masculine mostly because you are a fellow gym leader. He’s never seen you wear something outside of your gym leader clothes. Though he never had a problem with it, Raihan liked you just the way you are, you are a capable gym leader, a strong one at that and Raihan respected that. You and Raihan have been dated for sometime now and you still have a way of surprising him. You showing up to one of your dates in a dress/skirt or whatever, Raihan was like “damn, she cleans up nice.” He was already in love with but you were something new made him fall even more in love with you.

Champion height head cannons? I know there was a post about how you thought Steven was taller than Lance. I want to know more. For research purposes btw, definitely not for brainrot.

Okay so according to the scale world models, Steven is slightly taller, but I feel like a lot of the heights are messed up, so I choose not to believe them. Here are my personal headcanons.

I also took a look at the Masters heights and promptly decided they were also BS because no way in fucking hell is Ghetsis taller than Lysandre. (Also, N is canonically 7 inches shorter than Ghetsis, which he clearly is not in Masters).

Holiday Headcanons - Leon

I'm sorry this GIF is making me smile so hard bro he's such a cutie patootie

Ok right off the bat Leon spoils the fuck out of his family for Christmas

He treats his mama so well he buys her flowers, jewelry, and sends her handwritten letters

He can go pretty wild with gift giving since he's got a lot of money from sponsorships and brand deals

I mentioned this is in a previous post but Hop still believes in Santa because he dresses up every year

He found Charizard wrapping paper. And since then it has been the only paper he used

Did someone say Christmas cookout??

His favorite meal is a home-cooked duck or maybe a nice smoked ham

He always helps his mom cook the food

He also takes it upon himself to bake cookies, they always end up slightly burnt but they still taste good

If you're his S/O...you lucky bastard

He pulls out all the stops

He'll take you out on a nice dinner a little before Christmas

Then he brings you home to meet his mama the week of Christmas

You all spend Christmas Eve with the entire family watching Hallmark Christmas movies on the couch

Leon loves those movies to death

He doesn't hang mistletoe, he just carries it in his pocket to hold over your head randomly during a conversation

Charizard and his team all get their own Santa hats

When he wraps gifts for everyone he always calls them his little elves

God imagine the two of you cuddling by the fireplace snuggling under his cape with mugs of hot chocolate

He gets so cuddly around the holidays and it's great because when it's cold he's like a portable furnace

God he's so fucking cute I cannot with this man

Buys you lots of scarves and hats and mittens to make sure you aren't cold when you two spend time in the snow

He dedicates a snowman to you

He also takes every opportunity to flirt

Leon:

-Leon had no idea Allister had a sibling, and he doesn't put the clues together until his s/o and Allister are standing right next to each other. They'll have talked about their little brother for months during the relationship and Leon still won't have figured it out.

-Sometimes Leon brings Hop with him when going to hang out at s/o's house and he knows Allister's there. It's like a playdate. S/o approves saying that Allister needs more friends that aren't ghosts, Leon thinks they are joking. They aren't.

-Leon swears that his s/o sneaks around like a ghost-type. He never hears them coming up behind him and ends up shrieking in surprise whenever they casually greet him. One time he was grabbing something out of the fridge and they snuck up behind him, causing him to throw what was in his hands up into the air.

-"Are those the flowers I got you a month ago?" S/o likes to keep flowers until they wilt for aesthetic purposes. They will just keep wilting flowers in a vase because it looks cool, and that is how they justify it to Leon when he asks about it.

A headcanon and plot bunny for Leon and Raihan that makes my heart go: <3

Both of them have some experiences with romantic relationships. But each of their last serious ones ended years ago.

They have only recently started to perceive each other differently - which includes in a romantic light - after learning new things about each other. They're still growing and healing from the changes brought from the Darkest Day and everything after.

So. they both agreed to take it slowly.

Leon, as part of that, starts a big spreadsheet. He has been using spreadsheets as part of therapy - to understand his own feelings better, gauge why he feels this way about certain thing, keep track of important information about friends and family, etc.

It works for him because he loves analyzing data, so it's an easy routine for him to follow.

This spreadsheet is for Raihan and him to fill:

Gauge what they want and need out of a romantic relationship. What romantic actions they feel comfortable with. How to nurture their friendship because Raihan is an important friend to Leon, boyfriends or not.

Categories include (these and content to be updated when needed):

- Romantic Actions - Intimacy - Who to tell about their relationship and when - Public Displays of Affection (context, time, around which people) - Emotional Support (which kinds they prefer in which circumstances, how much they expect, etc.) - Love Languages - And More

Leon also knows that Raihan loves to analyze things, too. To learn, to understand. He does this because he wants to show him how serious Leon is about this. He explains him how everything is organized and what he was thinking when making it while presenting it to him.

Raihan goes through the entire spreadheet. It's detailed. It's organized. It's easy to make connections.

The more columns and rows he sees, the more flustered he becomes, the more his face feels like it's on fire. He's over the moon. Leon has put all this work in to reassure him. This is the most romantic thing anybody ever has done for Raihan.

So I've been thinking about Kris and Silver a lot lately and I wanna share some headcanons I have for them.

The two of them get married at age 22(Kris) and 23(Silver) after dating as teens

Kris works as the boss of the Battle Tower and Silver as the gym leader of Olivine, he often joins her for lunch at the top of the tower

Despite working in Olivine, they live in New Bark

Kris and Silver have their first kid at age 25/26, a girl they name Solana (Ranger series)

Kris worked the day up until she gave birth

Silver decides to be a stay at home dad so Kris can keep her position at the Battle Tower

Silver is a very hands on dad, determined to be there for his daughter in a way his dad (and mom) never was for him

Silver picks up gardening to grow their own veggies/berries and has an affinity for grass type pokemon (he was a grass type gym leader)

Lance is asked to be Solana's godfather (which he happily accepts)

Solana takes after her mom in looks (body type/hair type and color), but has her grandma's eyes (Ariana)

When Solana is five, Kris and Silver decide to move to the Galar region because the Sinnoh style Battle Frontier is imported to Johto and the Battle Tower is scheduled for demolition

In Galar, Kris takes up work as a field researcher while Silver decides to apply for a gym leader position again

At age 32/33 they have their second child, Penny (Scarlet and Violet)

Penny takes after her dad in looks (body type/hair type, mix of mom and dad's colors) while having her grandpa's eyes (Giovanni)

Kris worked all the way through her pregnancy again, actually going into labor on location (Silver was with her during the tail end of her pregnancy because she is too stubborn for bed rest)

Kris decides to be a stay at home mom for their second child so Silver doesn't have to give up his gym leader position

When Solana turns 14 she travels to Fiore to be a pokemon ranger

Penny eventually goes to school in Padea

The two go on walk dates often, Kris has wishing star collection

They are close friends with Leon (he reminds them of Lance) and Raihan (is very excited they know Lance)

Kris often teases the idea of taking the gym challenge, but doesn't do it because she values her free time with Silver

They take trips back to Johto for the holidays to see Kris' mom and Lance

Adore You | Leon x Reader (Oneshot)

Genre: Super Fluff, Angst, Hurt/Comfort

It’s been a particularly challenging week. And as much as you’ve tried to brush it off, along with Leon’s concern, the weight of everything is starting to bear down on you hard. If you were honest, you’ve been in a constant state of exhaustion.

Deadlines and expectations seem to be ever looming, the only rival in magnitude to either being the damned imposter syndrome you’d been trying desperately to bat away. At this point, you’re questioning if you’d somehow accidentally stumbled into where you are in life.

This afternoon, you’d happened to get home before Leon did and immediately slithered out of your clothes and into your bed, wrapping the sheets around yourself. Your eyes fell shut, hoping to drown out the world. All you can hear is the sound of your breath, drawing slowly and softly, yet somehow each inhale felt heavier than usual. With all of the thoughts swirling around in your mind, you almost didn’t hear the footsteps approaching or the sound of the bed shifting under someone’s weight settling next to you.

The subtle scent of cinnamon, vanilla and bourbon in Leon’s cologne bringing the slightest comfort before anything else. His hand tugs at the edge of the blanket you had so tightly folded yourself into, loosening it just enough so that he could slide into the cocoon with you. Without saying anything, he nestled his broad frame against your back, an arm working its way around your waist and angling up so that his palm was against your cheek.

The first crack.

You trembled at your core, all of your pent up fears and anxieties simmering inside you, threatening to boil over. Allowing yourself to ease into Leon’s hand, you took in the warmth of his skin — he was somehow always warm — and could feel the callouses built up from almost two decades of training. Callouses that were rough and worn, but always felt like home when they were running along your back. Letting his thumb trace across your cheek to play along your lips, he inched his body closer, his other hand moving to brush your tousled hair out of your face. You hear him sigh deeply before placing a gentle kiss at the back of your head, then resting his nose against your neck.

The second, and final crack.

You couldn’t hold it back anymore and the tears began to trickle down, wetting Leon’s hand. It’s silent for a moment, until the tiniest whimper escapes you. You try to pull away, but strong arms hold you in place, pressing you in closer. “Shhh…”

“You’re so strong, love. Being vulnerable is a part of that strength,” he whispered into your skin.

Still soft, but now audible sobs were wracking your body. You were sure Leon could feel you shaking and you couldn’t figure out if you should be embarrassed or if you should find solace in the fact that him, simply being who he was, brought your soul to ease.

“And know that even when you’re feeling your weakest, I’ll adore you. Always.”

At that, you turn around to face your champion, your lips quickly finding his, hands tangling themselves in those unruly, violet locks. Between the tender glances and exchanged breaths, you knew you’d eventually make it out the other end.

How could you not.

Character Headcanons #1

champions and the leadup to them becoming champions!

lance started his journey at 14, the traditional age in the dragon clan to let kids go out on journeys. they have to pass a certain test in order to receive a dragon type and he did (clair failed the first time rip). his first pokemon was a dratini ofc. he did all the johto gyms, beat the e4 and made champion rank, then went on to the kanto gyms (which i see as being a common thing among high level trainers from kanto and johto. you do your own region and make it to the champion level if you can then try the other 8 across the mountain). he travelled the world for a few years and after he returned, he joined the e4 at about 24ish and made his way up to being the leader of the e4. he was pretty content in that position but wasn't too upset to become sitting champion when red unexpectedly left.

steven became a trainer a bit older than most expect. he was content to travel and mine rocks and never really considered being a trainer until a bit after he turned 16 and his dad was like "well you're old enough to start learning how to take over from me someday : )" and steven was immediately like "actually i think im gonna try being a trainer I'll come back latermaybebye" and yeeted himself out of rustboro faster than you can say electrode. he ended up being very good at training which was just a bonus. shortly into his journey he learned about mega evolution and completely halted doing the hoenn gyms to yeet himself to kalos to learn about it properly. when he gets back he basically just. curbstomps everyone with the fairly unknown mega evolution ability and becomes champion at around 19ish.

wallace comes from a family thats very established in the contest circuit, with several older sisters who were all master ranks coordinators. he started young (10 or so) and very quickly rose to being a top coordinator in hoenn. however his older sisters all eventually stopped competing leaving him miles ahead of the rest. its very boring when you're basically just competing against yourself so he was like "well im going to try being a trainer now : )" at 16ish and was instantly successful at that too. it also scratched his competitive itch a bit better, especially when he became a gym trainer (and later gym leader) for juan as he liked the challenge of trying to fit his team to the challengers level. it got even better when this one guy managed to absolutely destroy everyone in the gym despite having a pretty severe type disadvantage and they became best friends and rivals : ) as for being champion, he takes over from steven shortly after the whole team magma-aqua fiasco.

cynthia had a very protagonist like journey. she set out at 12ish with her gible, got a pokedex from prof rowan and set about filling it (though she had already gotten a badge or two by the time she ran into rowan), had some grand adventure, became champion very young (13 or so) and has held onto her title ever since.

alder is super interesting to think about because he's old lol i imagine that the unova league was still fairly newish at that point in time so the concept of going to a gym to battle was very thrilling and unique, though not everyone thought it was a good thing. alder started his journey pretty young (13ish?) and took his sweet time doing the challenge as he just loved exploring so much. he only became champion at like 18 or 19 and not because he was bad at battling. he was probably one of the first champions in unova and reigned for quite a few years. then of course his first partner volcarona died. he resigned from battling for a long while until pulled back in a bit before bw starts. the previous champion unexpectedly retired due to illness, and since they hadn't been ousted by battle, all the members of the pokemon league voted for a new champion. alder was fairly surprised when he got a call saying he was up for champion duties round 2 if he wanted them, but agreed to come back until a new champion won the title.

iris challenged alder and won : ) haha, she's just a bit too young to have as much history as the others lol she wasn't ever a gym leader, but she did work as a gym trainer for her grandpa which was great practice.

diantha came from a rich family who wanted her to focus more on her acting career than battling but diantha was insistent on taking time off to try the gym challenge. (her parents were mortified. it's one thing to have a few leisurely battles at the battle maison where you can make connections but to join the rabble in the gym challenge? eugh.) but her parents bought her a specially bred ralts and off she went. she was young enough (14 or so) but by that point she had a decent acting career which led to her being noticed every so often. she quickly became champion (diantha's good and kalos doesn't exactly have a strong battling culture) which caused a huuuuuge argument between her and her parents who were still very stage parenting her.

leon is like cynthia. he was basically another little 10 year old protagonist prodigy who quickly rose to the top. but for some hc's, he got his sponsorship from kabu. motostoke was the closest gym so he and sonia took the train there to ask for it. kabu, as most gym leaders do, asked for a battle to see if they were good enough and was blown away by leon's already evident skill with his charmander.
