Alastor as a character is just so... character.
You never know what's actually going on inside him. Like he always fucking smiles, but when you see him genuinely happy with Rosie, you realize that most of the time he actually isn't happy and it's just...
And also he's a sadist, he'll brutally murder several people and enjoy it, but then he just goes on being a really nice and polite guy
And he wants to be the center of attention so badly it's almost pathetic, but then again he's classy and clever and...
He will go to the tailor because a tiny piece was ripped off his coat but it's also completely torn up and its supposed to be that way, and there's also the scene where he eats a fucking whole deer with a fork and a knife (and he's also part deer and he's a fucking cannibal)
He's not the most powerful creature in hell but he is one of the most unhinged and unpredictable ones, which makes him more dangerous than Lucifer himself
And he hates being reminded that he's not all-powerful and he has a mental breakdown because he almost died and during that breakdown he still SMILES

I’m just gonna ramble for a lil bit, don’t mind me.
My brain has started to gravitate and hyperfixate on Suns and Sig for no reason. Not only because a mutual made me love em more (you know who you are im staring at you(⊙_⊙)) but just their personalities in general.
For freaking Sig, he reminds me of comic relief characters and that’s what I love to death XD A silly lil shit who has their serious times that are actually terrifying and interesting to see. I also love the fact people make em a square (which is something I decided to take for my art as well now lol) Other than that, funny man, love him, here is a doodle.
Tumblr media
Now Suns, I like the lil “theory” or headcanon that they can’t or have a hard time reading emotions or understand emotional situations. (I mean we see that they can in dialogue but I’m just going off headcanons right now) Suns is the interesting and funny kind of stupid I like lol. And the headcanon that they are 10ft tall, I love it to no end X3 Other than that, love em too. Have a doodle
Tumblr media
I know no one is gonna read this, but I needed to put my thoughts somewhere lmao.

Bucchigiri doodles! I really like this show, I think everyone is super charming and fun! And all the designs are all so good ⸜(*ˊᗜˋ*)⸝
I'm gonna go on a quick rant about Arajin, because I have no one to talk about this with, so let me shout into the void:
Okay- So as I watching the show, I really liked everyone. I thought Arajin and his pathetic-ness and wet cat nature was charming, He's a loser and I love him for that! Even when he was being a bit of an asshole I was still quite fond of him, He's flawed and that's what made him interesting. He's a bit more complex than people give him credit for. Since my opinion of Ara was fairly positive, I thought most people would agree- (I didn't think he was all that bad and most people would also find him charming) I was so surprised when I found out how many people absolutely hate this guys guts, it was so different from what I excepted lmao. I understand being annoyed with Ara and I can see how some might not like him too much, but they were on my boy's ass 💀
First of all, Ara doesn't want OR like to fight, he's just a regular teen boy, he's nothing like this big buff dudes who are constantly look for someone strong to punch. If it weren't for Senya, Ara would've been done for by now. All Ara want's is to get a girlfriend, and that's normal for a boy his age!! Everyone else in the show are the freaks, my guy just wants love!! The only reason he fights is because his delusional ass is in love with a girl who knows she can play him like a fiddle, or when he's backed into a corner an has no other choice. Arajin wanted a slice of life high school romance and was instead thrown into the middle of a gang war with a bunch of dudes who are hellbent on fighting lmao
He's just a silly little guy!! He's not built for all this violence!!
Don't get me wrong the way Ara treats Matakara is frustrating at times, and I wish they would just talk (And I'm gonna be honest the fact Matakara still looks at Ara positivelyis really surprising lmao (I'd hold one hell of a grudge but I'm just petty)) but at the same time, I don't really blame Ara. He feels guilty, and in reality he probably hates himself (For multiple different reasons). He left Matakara behind and it eats at him, just the thought of the memory triggered a nervous stomach ache. Matakara is a walking reminder of what Ara doesn't like about himself, of course he's going to avoid him like the plague. Doesn't mean its good, or even healthy but that's just how people are. Even so Ara is only ever outwardly hostile towards Matakara when the past is brought up, every other time he can have a somewhat normal interaction (even if its reluctant). And with the newest episodes, Ara is now being a bit softer with him. Progress! Its small, but still progress!
Also small complaint, there are SO many worse mcs that do far more unbearable things, Arajin is practically a saint in comparison lol ( Doesn't mean anyone not liking him is invalid or anything, again I can totally understand why some don't like him!! Just because he's better than most doesn't mean he still cant be bad for people!! ☆(#××))
Rant over- Am I thinking to far into it? perhaps. but who cares! It's a silly show at the end of the day and I just like to yapp passionately into the void

My Beef with Miguel O'Hara - A Spiderverse Rant
Tumblr media
If you've read the title of this, you already know who I'm gonna be crapping on.
I know some of y'all are gonna flame me in the comments, but I do not care. Now, if you’re willing to bring up counterpoints about a FICTIONAL topic in a respectful manner, I’ll listen no problem because I don't mind being wrong (and I actually HOPE I'm wrong about this since I WAS excited about watching Miguel in action because there was so much hype around him). But if you take me having beef with a fictional character as me having beef with YOU, then I politely ask you to spare your mental health and drink some hot chocolate under a blanket after you click away from this post, thank you.
Now back to the topic.
Most of us Spider-Man fans have seen the movie, "Across the Spider-Verse" at some point (and if you haven't, what are you doing? Go watch it, it's on Netflix). Excluding everything that makes it a masterpiece aside, there's one character in the movie who really grinds my gears. Not in terms of how they’re written, but more so just how they are as a person in general.
Miguel O'Freaking'Hara.
I do not like Miguel. I feel pity for him, but I do not like him. I do like him as a character, though. I feel like he definitely adds to the story and makes it interesting. I genuinely feel like ATSV would’ve been really boring if he wasn’t part of it. But I do not like him as a person.
Miguel doesn't JUST have a stick up his butt, he has the whole TREE.
I couldn't care less about the fact this dude looks like a handsome statue because of the stuff he was doing to Miles. I think y’all forgot that this dude THREW A TABLE AT A MINOR UPON FIRST MEETING HIM and then has the nerve to throw away the food Miles got for him like it's trash. If that’s already not a red flag, I don’t know what is.
I don’t care if it was just ‘frustration.’ Miguel's 27 years old, he should know better. Unless Miles was attacking him in the beginning (which he wasn’t), there’s no reason he should’ve done that. But oh…I have much more beef with this dude than just a table.
I understand that his supposed role and whatnot in the Spiderverse is that he has to keep canon events going. He has to get rid of 'anomalies.’ Unfortunately, Miles Morales (from Earth-1610) is an anomaly because he was never supposed to be the Spider-Man of his universe. So, what does Miguel do? He tries to obliterate the guy.
…Ex–freaking-scuse me?
"Oh, but Miguel tried to talk to Miles about everything!"
Yeah. And he did it in the worst way possible. Miguel had absolutely no empathy towards the whole situation, then has the gall to wonder why Miles is running off and not listening to him. No dip, Sherlock. I'm pretty sure if you harshly told any normal person that someone they loved deeply was going to die and that they couldn't save them without any hint of compassion, they'd go against what you said and try to find a way to save them, bro.
Miguel's whole schmo is that Miles becoming Spider-Man was bad because it created Spot and Spot's creating a bunch of problems. As a result, Miguel also tells Miles that saving his dad is not allowed. Here's where I have a problem with that logic. If Miles being Spider-Man is an anomaly in the first place, why NOT save Jeff as a way to prevent more anomalies from HAPPENING? If anything, Miles losing his dad would've just been another canon event for him to continue BEING Spider-Man, even though he wasn't supposed to be. Legit, this dude’s logic irritates the pee out of me.
Miguel's approach to the problem is also hypocritical considering that he lost his own wife and daughter in the universe he belonged to, then invaded ANOTHER UNIVERSE he didn't belong to, which honestly in my opinion makes Miguel look even worse to me. I'm willing to bet that Miguel’s alternate daughter couldve been that universe’s spider hero, but because THIS vampire edge lord stepped into a universe that was NOT his, it prevented the canon event of the classic “Dead Guardian trope,” leading to that universe’s evaporation.
Another thing that irks me about the whole thing is that MILES IS LIKE 15-16 YEARS OLD. So as far as I'm concerned, O'Hara is trying to eliminate a KID. Even though he knows what it's like to lose a KID. No wonder the multiverse prevented him from being a father—he’s violent, unstable, and completely short-sighted. He’s out here chokeslamming a teenager and calling THEM the mistake. Just because you went through grief and trauma with your own children, it isn't an excuse to take the breath of another child.
(Y'know, considering the events of Multiverse of Madness, I'm kinda seeing a pattern here--)
Miguel, for some reason, refuses to have a smidge of sensitivity for what Miles is going through. Heck, even Gwen and Peter Parker had more empathy for Miles despite them not telling him he wasn't supposed to be Spider-Man because they actually cared about his feelings TO SOME DEGREE.
I hate Miguel’s whole “You’re a mistake!” speech because Miles didn't create the spider. Miles didn't summon the spider. Miles didn’t choose to get bit. He didn’t find it on his own terms. Miles didn't choose to create Spot—the one who’s actually causing them problems. Someone ELSE brought the spider there. Someone ELSE took away a universe’s Spider-Man. Miles is just trying to deal with what he’s been given. So if Miguel wants to go after ANYONE for ‘anomalies’ in terms of Miles’ universe, he needs to track down the person who put something where it didn’t belong.
For crying out loud, he told the boy that HE was a mistake. It’d be one thing if he said “You being Spider-Man was a mistake” or something. But no. He says that Miles IS the mistake.
During that whole speech, it sounds like Miguel is trying to tell Miles that everything is HIS fault as if Miles had a choice in being bit. As if Miles even had a choice in the fact that a radioactive spider from an alternate universe chose to bite him.
There were so many other ways Miguel could've handled the issue and he didn’t do that. I don’t care what his so-called intentions could/would be because it really put a disgusting taste in my mouth.
I still have no respect for the fact that he hypocritically and previously invaded another reality where he was dead so he could be with his family--and here's what I mean by that.
Yes, I understand--Miguel's life on his original earth was freaking sad. He lost his wife and daughter. That's obviously a very tragic thing to go through. But it’s the fact that he's cracking down on Miles so badly despite Miguel LITERALLY being the one to pull a Kingpin vexes me. Miles had ALWAYS belonged to his universe. Miguel’s only in the dump he’s in because he was trespassing.
Don't get me wrong, I feel pity but I absolutely cannot stand the audacity of this man to go after a kid who got bit IN HIS OWN UNIVERSE even though Miguel was the one who contributed to some multiversal disaster in the Spider-verse. You could try to say, "Oh, it's because he doesn't want to make the same mistake again and shatter the Spider-verse or something!" While I could understand that, it’s still not a good reason for Miguel to do and say the stuff he did. I thought at the bare minimum, he'd be at least able to RELATE to Miles considering that he also lost people he cared about.
End conclusion:
Miguel is vexing to me–but I don’t hate the way he’s written. If anything, I think if he wasn’t written this way, the ASTV movie would be very different. Whether that’d be for the better or the worse, I’m willing to bet most of this storyline wouldn’t even exist were Miguel not like this. So even though Miguel absolutely grinds my gears with his mindset and who he is as a character—I’m not mad at his writers. And I honestly feel like that’s just a showmanship of how great the writing for the Spider-Verse movies is. Good writing is when you’re mad at characters for the decisions THEY make, and not at the WRITERS for having them make those decisions.
I’m out.

Why Bakugou is a HORRIBLY written character
[POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING]
As someone who likes My Hero Academia (aka MHA), I don’t understand why so many people like Bakugou as a character. Now, it’s okay to like characters who are evil or mean. But that’s only if they genuinely have a reason for why they turned out that way, or if at the very least they’re properly built into the role. Whereas Bakugou doesn’t fit either of those and it pisses me off.
Bakugou is the main reason why I quit watching MHA at some point and I've only recently returned. There’s many things about him I don’t like and I hate that girls thirst over this bastard and even worse, romantically ship him with his victim. Let's go down the reasons why Bakugou is personally one of the most horrible fictional characters I've ever seen.
His apology & relationship with Midoriya
Tumblr media
Listen, I have mixed feelings about it, but mostly negative feelings. I’m 1% glad he did it. But on the other hand, he REALLY should either have done it way sooner or he shouldn’t have just apologized to Midoriya at all. Especially considering that he bluffs his apology. It was one of those ‘I’m apologizing but not really’ kind of apologies. He literally says, “This doesn’t change anything. But I meant it.” What the heck is that supposed to mean? Why does Horikoshi CONSISTENTLY keep failing his characters that are victims of abuse by blaming them and not the ones who abused them in the first place? Why is there always such a need for the victims to either feel responsible for the things that happen to them, or to just deal with the abuse because justice is a fantasy? I get that realistically in some places of the world, justice can be hard to come by. But wouldn’t stories about justice give more people hope that it can actually happen anyway?
Even if Bakugou genuinely had a good apology, I would still tell him to shove it up his booty hole because he literally told Izuku to kill himself, then tried to kill Izuku HIMSELF. No amount of apologizing is ever going to erase literal attempted murder. The only reason why Izuku believes that he and Bakugou are now 'friends' is simply because it’s an abusive relationship they have. Either that or it’s a form of Stockholm syndrome. Nothing about their ‘friendship’ is healthy in any way. The so-called “friendship” between Bakugou and Midoriya is an insult to the word itself. It CONTINOUSLY glosses over the fact that Bakugou’s treatment towards Midoriya is not that of a friend, but an abuser. I swear, it’s like Bakugou has some disgusting hate fetish for Izuku or something.
What I hate even more is when people try to justify Bakugou being an utter villain to Izuku by saying, “Oh, Midoriya should’ve left him alone! He should’ve stayed away from Bakugou!” And whether or not that may be true, you’re still insinuating that Izuku DESERVED to be treated so horribly because of such a small factor. I’m sorry, but the punishment doesn’t fit the crime in this case. Which, oddly enough, brings me to my next point
2. He is never punished
Tumblr media
Bakugou is never ever given any sort of punishment or discipline from those around him. Not even the teachers. And whenever there is a punishment for him, it’s hardly one at all and the punisher blames someone else along with him. Bakugou is never truly held accountable for the things that he does to people. Not even his own friends correct him. At the very most, he gets a slap on the wrist from Tenya or Aizawa. Because of this, he never changes at all. He constantly stays the same and it’s honestly so irritating to see this craphead get away with everything he does, despite him literally having the potential to be a terrorist. For a story about heroes, the creator sure doesn’t do a good job at making sure people get their consequences for what they do. It'd be one thing if the story was, "Oh, the pro hero system is corrupt and people are fighting for change!" But we all know that's not what MHA is, now is it?
3. His ‘development’ and backstory
Tumblr media
I am absolutely positive that the main reason why Bakugou is such a horrible character is because he literally has no development or backstory whatsoever. There is no reason why Bakugou is the way he is. He’s just a narcissist. Not even his ‘apology’ can be depicted as development because Bakugou still acts no less crappy towards Deku. Actions speak louder than words and Bakugou is living proof of that. There is no point in making a character promise to do better if you as the storywriter don't put in the effort to make them do so.
And even if Bakugou was going to supposedly stay a crappy character without apologizing, he has NO reason at all to be the way he is. Even Dabi (aka Toya Todoroki) has a reason as to why he's such a crap-bag. And while Dabi is an absolute murderous butthead who should be incarcerated for life, it’s understandable that he became a villain because his father, Endeavour, abused him. Dabi became a villain because he wanted to kill his father and take down the other pro heroes. He believes that all pro heroes are fake because of how his father was to him. And while it no way justifies what he does to people in the slightest, it makes it easier to at least understand why he does what he does in the first place. That’s why Dabi works as a character with evil attributes, whereas Bakugou does not. Bakugou wouldn't even work as a villainous character should the shift be made.
Bakugou was not abused as a child like Shoto Todoroki. He did not grow up in poverty like Ochako Uraraka. His parents had always supported him wanting to become a hero by training in UA. Bakugou has no reason to be the asshole that he is besides some made-up inferiority complex that’s not even properly fleshed out. Bakugou doesn’t face any consequences of his own. He never learns anything new. He never even went through anything traumatic. Which makes him not only super vexing to watch, but it also makes him such a bland character. A blank slate who yells at people for no reason. There is nothing that makes him interesting or stand out besides the fact he gives his voice actors laryngitis. Why on Earth should I feel even an atom of sympathy for this fictional man who has never had to struggle in his life for anything? Bakugou is insufferable for no reason whatsoever.
4. His personality
Tumblr media
Another reason why Bakugou’s personality stinks is because he quite literally doesn’t have one besides being a brat. Sure he has friends, but even he’s an absolute jerk to them most of the time and is physically aggressive towards them. “Oh, but he beats the schnitzel out of Mineta!” Kicking Mineta’s crap in is a human reaction. That’s just a normal reaction to watching your classmate sexually harass people. That doesn’t determine that he’s a good person. Him hating Mineta is basic human decency. Nothing more, everything less. And anyone who says otherwise is only saying it because they’re a loser who desperately wants to justify their desire to hook up with a violent teenager. I don’t care if the guy looks like an e-boy version of Guy Fieri. He’s still a major psychopath who couldn’t give a dip about anyone else but himself.
Never in my life have I come across a character that is so horribly written, and yet so heavily cherished by the people who like the series. Especially when you know that the majority of them are teenage girls who don’t even know what a healthy relationship is. As someone who writes stories a whole lot, I absolutely hate it with a burning passion because Bakugou is a legitimate insult to the art of storymaking. I understand that no storyteller is perfect. Though there’s a major difference between making an honest mistake in your writing and actively CHOOSING to positively represent a character that brings nothing to the table, but also keeps destroying it. If Bakugou left the series completely, I have no doubt that not only the story would be more peaceful, but it would also be hard to notice at first. That’s how insignificant he is.
It is clear how much I hate Bakugou. And I hate to say this considering he’s still a teenager, but I really hope he dies. He is hardly a character at all and it would just be the best thing for everyone since Horikoshi is scared of properly developing his characters for some reason. I know some of y'all might hate me for this, but I do not care.
Baku needs to go.

I feel a powerful need to gush about how the soft pink floofy school nurse has a team full of mostly terrifying Pokemon covered in spikes and horns and teeth, because they all have practical applications in the medical field, and they’re all the same power level as the other teachers’ teams, and how it perfectly illustrates how she wants to and should be taken seriously as a fellow instructor and professional in her field despite everyone focusing on her surface appearance, that she isn’t the buxom airhead sitting on her bum idly doting on unmotivated children all day that she’s clearly stereotyped as...
Tumblr media
Do you see a Chansey or an Audino anywhere on this team? A pink blob or a cute pet? No, her ace is Toxapex, my dudes. The Pokemon that is famously hard to take down due to its defenses, a ball of intimidating poisonous thorns, and so determined to win that it has an ability literally named Merciless. It drenches you in severe poison, combos with Venoshock, and that powered-up Venoshock WILL be a crit thanks to Merciless, all while you fail to get through its spiky shell.
That’s the real Miriam.
also she is still pretty damned cute

One aspect of Sunless Lives' original concept that I was never able to include was that Simon was being pretty much financially abused by Isles/the VIU. They justified paying him less due to his lack of education and training, then took back an enormous amount of his wages to "pay" for his high-security housing. He had to order everything he needed - from groceries to personal items - through the VIU (upcharged for their trouble of course), and so a record of everything he ever bought was kept. This record was accessible to Isles, who would frequently get on Simon's case about what he was spending his money on, what kinds of foods he was eating, etc.
It left him with a lot of anxiety about spending money, especially on "unhealthy" foods and "frivolous" purchases.

In Which I Gush About Dusk Lanverlais
(If you just want a basic rundown of him, you can check this post instead.)
Looking over what I posted about my alts, I was sort of amused to realize that I didn't talk nearly as much about my main dude, Dusk. Probably because I'm afraid if I start, I will never stop.
Tumblr media
Because I love this silly man, very much.
He wasn't supposed to be my main guy, you know. I made him because I found it interesting the elezen look strange. Their proportions are off, compared to actual humans. They've got those necks, of course, but their shoulders are also a little too broad, their limbs a little too long, their head can sometimes look a little too small.
It was a touch offputting, if I'm honest, although I appreciated that this awkwardness went for both genders. I've said to people that I appreciate that FFXIV did 'androgynous elves' in a way that wasn't just code for 'the dudes are a little bit feminine.' When they're in armor, especially heavy armor, the gender line is pretty blurred to my eyes. And I think they have a ton of leeway to lean really hard into a gender presentation they want, or to hang out somewhere in the middle, or swing wildly from one to the other, and it always looks 'right' for them in a way that can be difficult (but not impossible!) for the other races in this game. They're just elezen, and I like it a lot.
This is me holding back on gushing about other things I've come to love about them, by the way.
In any case, like I said, I found their proportions a little offputting and strange, but that made them intriguing. Could I make an elezen I liked looking at? Turned out I could.
Tumblr media
This is the earliest picture I can find of him that I still have. I have no idea where he's at in his MSQ, but I do know this was his very first glam.
Tumblr media
Dusk comes from the same place Errol and Mercuriel do, a long lost RP setting I explored with a friend for a long time. It's why he's named 'Dusk' instead of something more elezen-y, although in FFXIV it's a nickname given to him by his father (and his twin sister, of course, is nicknamed Dawn). In that setting, he was a misplaced hippie artist at the head of a free love commune in the post apocalypse. He was a sculptor, and the eccentric local warlord was his patron, which enabled him to have his commune of would-be artists in the first place.
I wasn't sure he'd translate well to this setting (I thought this about the other two, too), but his actual personality - golden retriever given human form - didn't just translate, it fit into the way the Warrior of Light is frequently portrayed beautifully. Dusk has always had tremendous amounts of love to give to people - whatever form they want from him, platonic or otherwise - and has always made friends easily. He loves to learn about people more than anything else, but he loves seeing and doing new things almost as much.
He's more resilient than people ever expect, because he's always so soft, caring and open. It comes across as naive a lot of the time, but he's not. He just made the choice to be trusting and loving in a world that seems to often punish that, because living any other way is no way to live at all, in his eyes. He refuses to let the world make him jaded.
Tumblr media
He's brave and protective - within reason, he is ever mindful of people's boundaries - and wants to help. Always, no matter how big or small the problem he's being asked to help with is. He's stubborn about being who he is, stubborn in his optimism, stubborn about giving pieces of himself to anyone who wants it.
So yeah. Translated better than I could ever hope.
When I first came up with him, it was sort of to counterbalance Mercuriel and Errol, both extremely messy men. I wanted Dusk to be simple, to be the one who was somehow always okay, because of the love he surrounded himself with. And so he was, in the RP. Partly because I didn't RP him and only him, he was offscreen a lot.
The WoL is never offscreen. So there are cracks here and there, now. Dusk wouldn't dream of not being the Warrior of Light, if people want him to be, even though he wishes people would see him more as himself than a Heroic Hero That Heroes, and that they would more often remember he has a huge support network that helps him do what he does. And frankly, it IS a lot of a pressure and he HAS gone through an awful lot as a result.
Tumblr media
Dusk doesn't seem, on the surface, to be someone who would be a dark knight. He's so fluffy! And he's not resentful about being labeled a hero at all! And it's true, he really isn't. He might get exasperated sometimes, but nothing too crazy. But when he picked the class up, there were so many events he hadn't had a chance to unpack, to feel his feels and come to terms with them. And self-care is not a thing for him, it doesn't occur to him until people make it occur to him. Fray, to put it mildly, made it occur to him. Myste did too.
The Stormblood DRK quests felt especially suited to him ... he's not resentful, but he does carry a lot of guilt. So many people he couldn't save, in spite of his best efforts. So much hurt he wishes he could've prevented earlier, or entirely. So many people he was set against, that he might've been able to come to an understanding with if there had been time to find it, who didn't survive meeting him because of it.
Tumblr media
He's better now, and I like to think that's why he's left the class behind ... but not completely. It's like riding a bike for him, letting his strong emotions, his love for the people he wants to protect, his disregard for rules designed to stop him from doing that ... it all comes rushing back to make him back into the absurdly resilient, dangerous protector of people who cannot protect themselves.
Gunbreaker is good and all, but sometimes you need to tap into something deeper, I suppose.
Pfft, I was going to make this his backstory post, but it got away from me, talking more about what he is instead of what he's done. I think that's okay though.
Oh, another thing he is? A giant insomniac.
Tumblr media
And that, friends, is what tilted me towards wildwood over duskwight. Wildwoods look exhausted, all the time. It's perfect and I love it.
I will frequently comment that he looks like there is not a single thought passing through his skull. I've decided it's a combination of things that make this happen. First, the sleep deprivation. Second, he does frequently indulge in fogweed, partly in the hopes it will help him sleep, partly because he is self-medicating all the anxiety he refuses to acknowledge exists because again, self-care is not a thing for him a lot of the time. And third, his brain never shuts the fuck up. He doesn't have no thoughts, he has all the thoughts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He's also ... startled a lot. Which I love so much.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Don't let the lack of glasses fool you, he wears them all the time now. I just didn't start doing it reliably until after he finished Shadowbringers, and I'm avoiding posting Endwalker shots of him at the moment.
Okay, see what I mean? I got started, and I have rambled about this dude AT LENGTH. This isn't even close to as much as I COULD say about him, either! But I will stop here instead of actually talking about his 'lore,' and try to make things more, uh, bite-sized going forward. Thank God I found the 'read more' link option thing, am I rite?

A friend awhile ago asked me how Razors relationship with the characters
Razor with the internationals: Not really familiar with them
Razor with Electra: tries to ruin his hair or ends up getting shocked by him
Razor with his components: Somehow slightly gets along with all. Has been put in a chokehold by Krupp. Him and Volta get along very well.

Rambles about the new popcross video, so if you haven't seen it yet, SPOILERS!!!
!!!!!
[] []
OH MY GOD.
Popcross is a God , writing good character interactions and problems. I can't even put it into words-
Having Sterling full-on yell and have his happy go personality slip is such a great thing that I never usually see in shows unless they are the main character, along with the fact dresden is aware on the implications of what he did and how terrible it was knowing he could never undo it and turning himself in knowing there was a possibility of torture.
The slight details and small things that get mentioned and how the characters react as well are amazing, such as Kate realizing they are not clenching their fist and how Benny said about how he wanted to help and not knowing how to help along with the fact he also did bad things in his past, it was nothing compared to what Harold and Dresden did but it was still bad and instead of looking for the positive side he was just neutral.
AND NO KISS I know some fans might have wanted one but I loved the fact they didn't kiss, it's not because I Ship Kate with Mara but it's because they need to grow more with each other but still taking slow steps and beginning to acknowledge feelings but not yet telling them which is something that is rarely seen in my opinion.
Anyways yeah, I loved this multiverse episode and know there are going to be a lot more that I can not wait for!
(I can, but yaknow)

More rambling today:
I don’t know why, but my brain really loves to connect Electric Swing to NSH. I don’t know why! To me it fits for no reason. Or better yet, Lemon Demon or Bo Burnham! They just got that vibe that fits Sig well Imo.
Bruh my dream is to do animation w Electric Sway music, but I gotta get better at animation first and finish my 2-3 month old artworks. (I’m horrible at multitasking). Other than that, Sig w Electric Swing GDTJVSSHH my brain fries up and dies.
Just putting my thoughts here, you can ignore this(;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)

Even more character Rambles: JJ
Thinking about how JJ, despite all his hatred for the island, still decides to follow island traditions. Like he's rarely seen wearing anything else but the traditional-island wear- even if it's just the top half of it. He hates every single festival, yet is always there for every single one of them.
Even his way of killing the people in his way follows up with the cremation rituals of the island. Where instead of the dead being buried in a coffin or casket or anything like that, he instead turns them into ash.
Every time it's someone's birthday, despite the fact he doesn't ever want to admit it, he still follows through with the ritual that's supposed to happen. He ends up leaving little things for the person and more often than not leaves them alone for the day. Of course, he probably partakes in the usual birthday-punches, but wouldn't do anything else above that.
Until its not your birthday, then it's back to attempted murder.
Everything he does is for attention that he was deprived of; but him not failing to follow what he was brought up to do is just something I genuinely didn't think of before until I actually sat and thought about it.
And it's funny, because when it's JJ's birthday, he ignores it. You would've thought that for someone who wants attention from anyone and everyone - he would've made a massive shout about it. But nope, he stays quiet and tries to forget it himself. Most people aren't even aware when his birthday is either, most people except for Sin. Sin remembers his birthday without fail, he remembers a lot of things about him without fail. Which is more surprising than the fact it isnt- you know, considering the fact that they FIGHT 24/7.
Little bonus idea: I feel like the concept of an Eclipse would freak him out a little. JJ loves the idea of space as it is, but with the island having numerous moons, he'd probably assume that it was some sort of bad omen or something like that. He probably has no idea it's a very normal process and would more than likely get freaked out over it.
JJ also canonically has a bunch of old notebooks and stuff stacked in his room which detail different stars and planets, maybe even constellation patterns too. (He gets really annoyed when someone gets something wrong).
He's also known to absolutely SHRED library books if they don't like up with anything he's written down. He will take the page out, rewrite it, and then restick it. We love public property destruction.

Potentially Unpopular Opinion - A character grieving loss is not an excuse for them to be a killer
I'll further specify my points in the following post.
Now here's the thing--I'm not opposed to the trope itself and here's what I mean by that.
Scenario 1: Character's loved one is killed and they kill their loved one's killer. That's fine.
Scenario 2: Multiple people the character loves are killed by different people and they kill their loved ones' killers. That's fine.
Scenario 3: Character's loved one is killed so the character kills innocent people. That is NOT fine.
Grievance doesn't mean dookie if all that's happening is that the character is using it as an excuse to just go on a murder spree. Now these types of characters CAN make for good villains and/or antagonists and that's completely fine. I'm not even all that upset about the trope itself. More so, specifically what ticks me off is when people try to downplay the behavior of the character simply because they're likable.
It's one thing to like a character who does awful stuff. It's another to like a character who does awful stuff and then try to paint them as an angel who doesn't do anything wrong.
