A Serious Wish

I have a wish. That when all the Rape stuff is on reading, TV or any Social Media..I don't stop breathing, or have a Anxiety Attack. Worse yet a full blown Panic Attack when the movie started talking about a Daughter & her Father and how he manipulated her to do what he wanted when she was a child..I wish I didn't need my Anxiety pill for things like that, but it Knocks me Over..I really try to remember the tools I have tried so hard to learn. But they seem to flutter away and all I see is the past brought on by the present. I wish my Abuse wouldn't still affect me, it happened so long ago. But for those years of abuse, a moment is all all I need to get Blindsided.

✨ In this episode of Sandee After Dark I recorded a real therapy session I had recently (just today). I started doing the work of healing my childhood trauma just about 3 years ago. I stopped last year and did my own private session with myself all alone. I did the hard work alone for 6 months and recently started seeing my therapist again. I thought it would be perfect to capture this moment of me sharing my private therapy session in hopes that it helps some one else start looking at herself differently and since my series on childhood traumas and how it can affect our adulthood it seemed fitting. I am so excited! My new website is constructed 😍😍 It is same with life, was so against creating a website because of all the struggle and the time you need to spend creating feed. In life we do this too. You feel change is needed and you know you would feel happy when it is done. But you keep postponing it because you don't know what is coming and how much effort it costs to get there. When you live with anxiety you do the same. You rather put your effort in making your world "balanced" so that you can keep yourself up during the week. "Roy Moore, the Republican nominee for a U.S. Senate seat in Alabama, has been accused of sexually abusing multiple women. One woman, Leigh Corfman, alleges that Moore assaulted her when she was only 14-years-old. He was 32 at the time. In an attempt to push back against the narrative that children can consent to intimate “relationships” with 32-year-old men, predominantly white cis heterosexual women have been using the #MeAt14 hashtag on Twitter. They have been highlighting their gawky frames and awkward smiles as evidence that they would never have been capable of giving consent at such an age. But these shows of solidarity with sexual assault victims and survivors still reinforce aspects of rape culture that leave adolescents vulnerable. What the hashtag fails to acknowledge is that body type or appearing “innocent” doesn’t justify sexual abuse. My niece’s shorts, my tall, developing frame, or another girl’s early developing breasts don’t negate the fact that children are children. Those embodiments don’t change the fundamental rules of consent and their inability to give it. To believe so is to subscribe to a patriarchal and misogynistic form of feminist politics that almost always harm the least among us. By promoting the idea that looks condition the validity or probability of sexual abuse in children and adolescents, we perpetuate a culture which continues to focus on the behaviors, embodiments, and actions of victims of sexual assault rather than perpetrators who abuse them."
