Hey, Lei Lei, Kye almost died, and he wanted his henchmen to leave him alone because he didn't want them to see him in a weak state, but now he's lonely all by himself in his lairs hospital wing
Tumblr media
We were wondering if you could keep him company for a while. He just doesn't want to be around a huge group of people
Of course she would
"Yeah, I'm on my way over right now, Zill told me about what happened"
Tumblr media
"well...only a part of it but still, I was told"

Ask them anything you want, but if you ask them personal information about me specifically, bad things will happen.
I'm actually getting another new minion very soon. I'm not releasing any specific details about them other than that they're a breed of monkey, they have a limb difference, and they're the type of person you'd find in an insane asylum.

So, I watched the latest defilement of the TMNT franchise, and I gotta say it's everything I expected.
"April O'Neil" was a random black kid who had no impact on the story, frankly she had so little impact I forgot she was even in the film by the end of it.
"Master" Splinter was just some random, annoying, racist rat with Jewish undertones, not a master ninja turned mutant, the master's pet rat or even a martial arts movie star like in that shallow shit kid show.
Baxter Stockman was supposedly the villain of the story, but instead of being the man under Shredder, or inventor of the Mousser robots he supposedly created the mutagenic ooze, and he dies in the first act.
The fly mutant he usually becomes was now just some random fly that talked like a stereotypical black guy, he was called Superfly.
TCRI didn't make the ooze instead they created anti mutant weapons that turn mutants back into their original animal.
The Turtles are even less impressive than the recent cartoon, they aren't teenagers, they don't know anything about being ninja or warriors, they are just a bunch of annoying tweens who were raised by a racist rat to hate humans.
The identifiable mutants such as Bebop, Rocksteady and Leatherhead are all window dressing with no impact in the story, if you can even call it a story.
The movie ends with a big fight between Superfly and the Turtles, except Superfly was just turned into a chimera Kaiju, because apparently falling into the river around New York with the mutagen won't fuse you wish fish, but with whales, crabs, ostriches and so on, defeating him had no stakes, they just hit him with the anti mutant weapon and all of his parts became their own animals, it felt like the animators and writers just wanted a visually interesting monster rather than a logical one.
In the end the movie had no real connection to the franchise other than the superficial, if you changed the physical appearances of the characters you couldn't even tell it was a TMNT movie that was made, hell, it's hard to tell without any of them changed.
In the end it's another instantly forgettable Seth Rogan flop.

The End of Sinister Future
As Future-Mister Sinister is finally killed by Jon Ironfire, Moira-X resets the timeline by destroying the Moira Clone Engine, putting an end to the distant bad future. Cue to the Present-Day where Mister Sinister is working in the lab after he killed Hope Summers, Exodus, Emma Frost and Xavier earlier in the prelude of the storyline. Mister Sinister attempts to download the information but the clone explodes and he hears Moira's voice. Moira-X explains through the flashbacks of how she encountered Mother Righteous in the lab in the Sins Future timeline, learned of the virus Mother planned to insert in the machine and how Mother failed at the last moment. Moira-X tells him that she then fed Mother into the magic heart and corrupted the machine. She tells Sinister that he made an attempt to ascend to dominionhood and failed. She had the machine take a reading of his mind just before resetting the timeline so that the only thing current Sinister gets to learn from the 1000 years is that he failed and that another Sinister got to dominion first. Then, the rest of Moira clones explode and before Mister Sinister could do anything, Rasputin IV the mutant chimera appears in the lab to capture him with her force-field.
The scene shifts to the surviving Quiet Council who are storming to the hideout to find Mister Sinister and bring him to justice. Just then, Rasputin IV appears to them with the captured Mister Sinister. Captain Kate Pryde is glad that someone had caught Sinister even though she is a complete stranger. Mister Sinister is finally brought to the Krakoan Trial where he breaks down, begging and screaming that there are OTHER Sinisters besides him elsewhere and he cries that he does not want to be thrown into the Krakoan Pit. The Quiet Council refuse to listen to him and thus, Mister Sinister gets dragged into the Pit. Rasputin IV introduces Mother Righteous who reveals to the Quiet Council of what Mister Sinister had done that caused the bad future to happen. However, fearing that they may still be infected by Sinister's DNA tampering; the newly-resurrected members - Xavier, Emma, Exodus and Hope also enter into the pit for quarantine until they can be checked and cured. Also, Mother Righteous the female Sinister clone is now hailed as the savior of Krakoa even though she's a shady Villain with Good Publicity, and has the powerful Rasputin IV as her back-up.
Sins of Sinister: Dominion #1, 2023
Whew....Now I am glad that the Bad Future borefest is over.

Hi! Rookie X-Men question, given how every so often characters tend to die (and then come back), have any of the more specifically religious members of the group, like Nightcrawler, had to wrangle the theological implications of that, or having to deal with dying in-Marvel being very different to how they expect?
Theology is a tricky concept in the Marvel Universe more broadly. Start with the baseline weirdness of what it means to believe in a monotheistic deity when the gods of various pantheons walk the earth as heroes and villains, and where many beings of ultimate cosmic significance can be met in the vastness of space:
Tumblr media
Reed Richards is actually lying here. He's gone to the actual Heaven (to retrieve the soul of Ben Grimm) and met the "One Above All" in Fantastic Four #511, and it turns out that in the Marvel Universe, God is literally Jack Kirby, drawing everything into existence:
Tumblr media
How this fits in with the existence of multiple gods, multiple Heavens and multiple Hells, is left up to the reader to untangle - just another continuity wrangle to No Prize.
The X-Comics haven't always done much better. As you point out, Kurt Wagner is a faithful son of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church - although I'm sometimes annoyed by writers who can only remember this one detail about him and forget the dashing swashbuckler stuff that's actually way more fun - and his belief ought to be tempered that he's actually died, gone to the explicitly Christian Heaven, and been resurrected by bamfs (it was weird). On the other hand, in the infamous "Draco" storyline, Kurt has also found out that angels and demons are tribes of mutants and that he's the son of the demon Azazel. And in the equally infamous "Holy War" storyline, Kurt became a Catholic priest as part of a theologically-unsound plan to make him Pope so that he could be revealed as the Antichrist and convince people that the Rapture had begun - even though Catholics don't believe in the Rapture.
Tumblr media
However, things got a lot better with Jonathan Hickman's House of X/Powers of X and the advent of Krakoa, because all of the sudden there were much more interesting questions to ask. Were mutants the new gods, as Magneto had proclaimed? What did the Church's promise of immortal life mean, now that mutants had defeated death and brought about immortality in this life? What would be the new commandments of the mutant Eden?
As a member of the Quiet Council and the X-Men's resident philosopher, Nightcrawler would be the one asking and answering these questions. In my absolute favorite issue of Hickman's run on the X-Men, Kurt is pushed to seek answers to these questions by the new mutant tradition of "Crucible" - by which depowered mutants must face [A] in the arena to win their right to be reborn into glory through enduring a slow and violent death - and his discovery that Krakoa had built for him a cathedral that only a mutant who can teleport could enter.
Tumblr media
In Si Spurrier's run, Kurt investigates these questions by interrogating the laws of Krakoa and how they shape the nascent mutant culture being born on the island. The danger is, that in a world in which life extends forever and death has no meaning, that mutants will fall into sadism and apathy. Kurt's new religion, "the Spark," seeks to combat spiritual neurasthenia with a commitment to the relentless pursuit of the new.
Tumblr media
But questions remain: why, in both Moira's Ninth Life and the Sins of Sinister timeline, does Kurt Wagner become the originator of a new sub-species of chimeras with his mutant powers and his appearance and a common commitment to the last religion in existence? What happened to the Golden Child miraculously born to his genetic descendent Wagnerine? Did she survive the destruction of the timeline?

Statistically speaking, there’s a very high chance that eventually someone is going to be born with a Quirk that isn’t affected by Erasure or Copy in the way that it should be
Like, depending on how Midoriya Hisashi's Fire Breathing Quirk works it could be entirely a mutation
With how funky the laws of reality are in BNHA a Quirk that is seemingly Emitter but actually a Mutation is completely plausible
The Heroes Rising Villain Chimera is already a Villain with a mutation Quirk who can breathe fire, so it's already happening! Shoji's Quirk is classified as Mutant despite functioning like a Transformation Quirk!

tragic fate of spinner and shoji
youtube
comments on youtube
My problem with the Kirishima comparison is kirishima got that development in a moment that was relevant to his complexes, cowardice and situation. There isnt a single situation at that point in the story that would even rationalize the Shoji  flashback happening then. Character flashbacks in MHA fights happen often, I could agree the heteromorph discrimination could be even more focused on than it already is throughout the story.
But overall these past few chapters have been good and the impact still hits for me. Spinner being an unfortunate pawn, a radicalized group of marginalized people dancing in the palm of AFOs hands, and Shoji who didn't let his traumatic past negatively shape his future. I'd care less for thsi fight if it didnt have a direct impact on the main plot, freeing Kurogiri which will likely flip the tables of the main Deku and AFO battle. It has the pro of giving us more side character content and advancing the plot, which is great in my book.
People keep saying that the stuff with the heteromorphs came out of nowhere.
While it never had its own arc, it’s always been there, just subtle . Todoroki’s insults to the police chief . Principle Nezu’s scar, background, and sadism to humans . Poni’s comments to Shoji . The Anti Mutant cult in My Villain Academia . Chimera in the second Movie
And even tho its full exploration is late, I’d take late over never, besides it’s not like this is the first time an author gave a side character a background in the final arc.
Wonder if anyone  noticed Spinner's design kinda resembles Kisame from naruto. I'm fully aware Spinner is a stain cosplayer but Spinner's hair style and his sword with multiple blades bandaged together looks similar to Kisame and his sword Samehada. Also how they're both falsely blinded & following their "leader". Spinner follows Shigaraki while being manipulated by AFO & "befriending" him while Kisame follows the fourth mizukage while being manipulated by obito & later " befriends" him

Aizawa left Filo's room with a sigh. The girl had cried herself to exhaustion, leaving him to carry her to bed and tuck her in. He wasn't sure how many of his students had actually listened and stayed in their rooms, and who had snuck out to listen in. Either way, he was sure 1-A would know in the morning about how their friends had been used. Because Shouta was sure of it, Tao's problem was one and the same as Filo's. It didn't make sense otherwise. But, given he had little to no information about the boy's family, and didn't even met the mother yet, he was wary. Who knew how deep Tao was in it? Filo had already been manipulated to distrust the Heroes and sympathize with the villains. Was Tao the same? Did he see it more on the Heroes' side? Or did he prefer the villains? Well, whatever it was, Shouta would make sure Tao knew he was safe here in UA. This was a teen they were talking about, a boy. He wasn't legally allowed to drink, drive or vote, he wasn't even legally allowed to use his quirk!
Aizawa froze. The quirk. Tao had listed it as Chimera on the official papers, but was that true? What if his quirk was actually an amalgamation of different quirks, all forced on him by All for One? Gods, what a horrible thought. All of those quirks were mutant-type that changed Tao's body, and if he received them one by one, he must have felt it. Felt how how back ripped to make room for the wings, how his tailbone grew and broke the skin of his lower back for the tail. How his teeth were pushed out by his new fangs, and his fingernails in favor of the claws. It was clearer than ever now, he'd kill All for One for putting them through this hell. He imagined it while he was walking back down, mentally planning a conference with the other teachers and Principal Nezu. They needed to know, those two needed help. With a sigh, he opened the door. To his surprise though, he stood eye to eye with Tao, who looked at him like a deer in headlights. He took a step to side, letting Tao in. He didn't leave, though. Instead, he took the boy's hand. "Tao. Tell me the truth, please. I want to help you."
Tao, through many many tears, cracked and came clean. He told everything he knew. From how he was lied to as a child, to the experiments he endured, to being used as a spy for the villains. He apologized, over and over again. He didn't want to be a spy, no not at all. He didn't want to do this. "I-I'm sorry..I didn't mean to hurt any of you I-" "Tao, it's okay." Shouta hugged him, trying to help calm him down. He felt horrible. No teen should have to go through what he and Filo were and had been through. It wasn't fair, he knew. He wondered if other people just wouldn't hear them out, immediately deem them monsters. The thought disgusted him. Filo was a mere baby when all of this happened to her, and she lived for awhile without ever knowing of her affiliation to AFO. Tao was taken, used as some Guinea pig, and practically stripped of his humanity.
"I..I don't want to be arrested- please.." Tao pleaded. He knew that was most likely the outcome, considering he had literally been used as a spy for the villains. Hell he considered the League of Villains his family. No hero should do that. "I promise, you won't. I'm going to have to have a meeting with the teachers and principal about this, alright?" Aizawa said. Tao stiffened. That meant most likely they would announce publicly what happened, to the world. Tao feared he'd only be called a monster again. He always had been. As a small child, with those dark bat-like wings behind him and the small nub of a growing tail. Kids at the playground he had access to laughed at him, or ran in fear. Joining UA, he could see other students step away from him when passing in the halls. How citizens were confused why they let such a villain-like looking teen into the hero course. Surely this whole ordeal would only amplify those comments, or worse, create an outrage. He didn't think once that anyone would have sympathy.
After talking, Aizawa and Tao parted ways. The teacher left to the classroom, where he grabbed his bag and left. He'd began thinking of what to say in the email he would sent to the other teachers and Principal Nezu. Tao slowly made his way to his room, curling up and continuing to cry. He didn't look at his phone, which had multiple texts from friends. All were worried about him. He laid, wondering if Aizawa had talked to Filo as well. Most likely, he thought. Seeing as, as soon as he returned to UA, Aizawa wanted to talk with him. He was already in their common area, and everyone was in their rooms. Typically at least one or two students were in the area, but not now. Tao thought more. Surely he would lose all of his friends. Izuku would look at him with a frown, he imagined, avoiding him and never conversing again. Kirishima would look down on him, fear on his face. Denki would avoid looking at him at all costs. Mina would tear up anytime around him, trying her best to not notice him. And Katsuki would just ignore him extra hard. The idea of his classmates, his friends, hating him, ruined him. He feared the upcoming days, where everyone would find out about him and Filo's situations.

This blog follows the evil mutant mastermind, Chimera (or kye for short), who was mutated into a mutant hybrid of many different animals after a high school lab accident, answering all questions you have for him. Just
Tumblr media
And he can get a little cranky sometimes and won't answer certain questions like info on his real identity, for example. And he hates being called a freak. It really triggers him in a bad way.
But other than all that, ask away!

Polling: Chimera
CONTEXT
Cat Murdock posted her most recent, community beloved champion mashup, this time between Shang-Chi and Black Widow (Claire Voyant):
Tumblr media
She calls it “Drachnid Diviner” (the first word presumably a portmanteau of dragon and arachnid).
Well-known community contributor and content creator MCOC Dragon replied jubilantly:
D-d-DRAAAAAAAGONS!!!!!!!!! Omg I love it. New fave. Without question. Beautiful. Gorgeous. Flawless. PURPLE. Everything good in the world.

OUR REPLY
Then since @xgabo has said we can't have @CatMurdock_Art's creations, perhaps we can recommend @McocDragon vote for Chimera? (She's not purple. But she's green, which is nice?)

Chimera
Powers: Ability to generate ectoplasmic bursts in the form of telekinetic dragons as well as telepathic powers and the ability to create illusions.
An inter-dimensional pirate, Chimera was hired by Genesis to catch Wolverine and re-bond him with Adamantium. After breaking Cyber out of prison, Chimera was stabbed through the hand by Wolverine who became feral and nearly killed all of the Dark Riders travelling with Chimera. She later fought Wolverine again, although this time he had help from Venom.
After M-Day she was approached by Madelyne Pryor to join her new Sisterhood of Mutants, and invitation that Chimera accepted. After fighting Domino with the Sisterhood of Mutants she was almost fatally wounded but was healed by the Red Queen. When Madelyne Pryor tried to enter Jean Grey’s body she exploded and Chimera and the rest of the Sisterhood fled through a portal to escape the X-Men.
She later joined the Marauders as their leader and hunted down Nightcrawler as a test subject for ‘the boss’.

After spending my entire October in art block limbo, i'm back with a new Bnha AU thing: Chimera AU. This monster!Izuku AU concept has been laying around for a couple of months, but i finally worked on it and came with the monster form. i will surely make this critter into an independent OC as well and no one can stop me
In this, Izuku's quirk is not natural but the results of experimentations made not by The Doctor but the HPSC, who's working on their own brand of noumus called Chimeras to counter the recrudescence of villains and get themselves artificially powerful heroes at their beck and call.
More infos/notes about this AU and Izuku’s quirks are below (just beware of the long wall of text).
General notes/ideas:
- another DFO AU where, after the first AFO vs All Might fight, the Hero Commission tracked any informations related to AFO and ended up reaching his family at some point. They got their hands on Izuku in one way or another and forcefully integrated him into the Chimera project as a way to spite their enemy. You can try to take DFO from my cold dead hands
- the Chimera project was born from another scientist who came accross the Doctor’s old works and theories and started working on it on his own. The process of this other brand of noumus is different than the Doctor’s and has an impact on them: their autonomy is privilegied rather than a zombie like state because the HPSC wants them to still be able to act on their own. The Chimeras have a very delicate balance of quirks that cannot allow several powerful abilities to be stacked together or else the subjects will either die or stay in a zombie like state like noumus, rather than that, weaker and mild quirks replicas are used to allow them to retain consciousness and satisfying levels of brain function.
- Izuku has muddled memories from before the HPSC “took him in”, he also wishes to find his mom at some point.
- the HPSC expected Izuku to be a failure due to his quirklessness, ironically, he became the most successful Chimera so far (no one really knows if it’s due to his lack of quirk, the fact that he’s AFO’s kid or something else). He also retained all of his consciousness and individuality, contrary to the others children of obscur backgrounds who were also experimented on, who’s personalities were somewhat diluted and thus act more obediently.
- Izuku retained his reckless streak like in canon, but the fact that he now possess a pretty resistant body didn’t helped to calm it down, it’s the contrary. He also show reluctance at obeying orders from the Commission that doesn’t fit his view of heroism.
- unlike some other shapeshifter like Ryuku, Izuku retain some of his monster form elements while shifted back into human form, it is mostly due to the artificial nature of his quirk(s). It is very strange for him as he vaguely remembers being scared of others in the past only for them to be scared of him now. He doesn’t like it either way.
- the public is aware of the existence of the Chimeras, although not in detail obviously. The Chimeras are advertised as a new program/ group of carefully selected upcoming heroes in training. Most of the Chimeras were children with mutant quirks to better hide the aditional ones that they would get later, under the cover of a new special training that would boost their original abilities. The public is divided about them, some are hopeful, some are still wary and afraid of them due to their “villainous quirks”.
- Izuku later integrate UA through recommendation. His reputation as a Chimera preceeds him and students are also divided in their opinion. He is a rather reluctant hero student in this, as he doesn’t want to serve the HPSC and their ideology. Despite now having the possibility of becoming a hero, it doesn’t happens on his own terms and Izuku feels rather conflicted.
- featuring not so good mom Inko
- Izuku has accidentally killed some people while practicing with his quirks. For this reason, he doesn’t like to use his venomous/fungus abilities and shows hesitation to do so even in dire situations.
- the wings are “retractable” (think about the Eva series from The End of Evangelion)
Tumblr media
Now about Izuku’s quirks:
- animal/insects quirks - venom (paralysitic/affect escape reflex [see emerald cockroach wasp] + maybe necrotoxins that cause necrosis/dissolve flesh locally [Viscerocutaneous loxoscelism/Necrotizing fasciitis?], other neurotoxins?) toxins can be delivered through tail sting or bites/secondary claws - parasitic fungus spores (cordyceps type) - regenerative abilities (see axolotl/starfish) - ignition
That should be all of them for now
Additional notes about the quirks:
- Izuku is not fully immunized to his own toxins, although the fungus he hosts filter a good amount of venoms/poisons and lower their impact on himself. There is still a risk if he were to sting himself. - the parasitic fungus spores he releases takes time before showing symptoms in the targets, although still quicker than when occurring in nature, it is still a parameter to take in account on the field. First symptoms include dizziness, sluggish movements/lack of coordination (ataxia), nausea, headaches... The fungus spread and alter brain functions/thought process when reaching the brain. Chimera is then able to give simple orders to the then "zombified" targets through something akin to hive mind. The fungus should wear off by itself (?)(either that or the immune system of the target kicks in and remove it at some point??) from a few hours up to a few days, unless the dosage was too important, in which the fungus will grow all over the victims' body and (eat them from inside basically ouch), worsen symptoms and death will occur. Releasing a more important quantity of spores at once will make the targets being infected and controlled more quickly, but intensive use is a risk for both the targets (as mentioned previously) and the host, aka Izuku, as the he might be overwhelmed with the spores himself and start being affected by the fungus' symptoms as well. - Chimera possess enhanced strength due to the multiple animal quirks stacked together, as well as durable chitin plates and claws. Chimera also possess very good eyesight, along with wide periphery vision and night vision at command. Eyes also reflect light (see tapetum lucidum) - The tail is finished by a very thin yet durable sting, it allows for precise injection of toxins without causing collateral damages on the person's organs/muscles  when used in optimal conditions (an immobilized, non struggling target), most commonly used venom is a neurotoxin removing any escape reflex/fight response from the target or paralyzing one, as they would be ideal to use for arresting villains. However, its use on the field is more complex, a struggling villain may rip the thin sting while delivering the the injection, thus rendering that venom unusable as the stings takes some time to regenerate.
- Ignition is a quirk that allows its user to breath streams of fire as well as ignite their palms on demand, thus can be used for both long range and close combat. The fire quirk doesn't only serve as an offensive role, however, since it's also used by Chimera to eradicate fungus spores leftovers around his perimeter once he doesn't need them anymore (the spores are fragile and will deteriorate in extreme weather/temperatures conditions). The body cannot sustain long exposition to fire as major risks of overheating or burns are to expect. Chimera produces blue/greenish flames that he can manipulate from a distance, but he is unable to control any other type of fire. This quirk was chosen as a sort of cover that links him to his parents' official quirks (ignition -> fire breath, minor fire manipulation -> attraction). - The regenerative abilities are akin to a starfish/axolotl, but with boosted efficiency, although this quirk is not almost instantaneous as seen on noumus. It renders most wounds that would be fatal for humans as simple hindrances for Chimera. Lost limbs and organs may regrow between a few hours up to a week or so depending of the amount of damages sustained (a week would correspond to around 85% of body damaged/removed). Wounds to the head are not fatal if half of the brain is left unharmed, although regular brain functions and movement coordination will be highly affected. Just like noumus, your best bet at vainquishing Chimera is to entirely destroy the brain, then take care of the body’s remnant for safety mesure. - In case of emergency, Izuku can use a process called "autotomy": it consist of self amputation. Chimera can either let go of a limb to escape, or he can migrate all nutriments, essential cells/stem cells and energy into a body part that will be then sectioned and used to regrow the entire body from there (see starfish). It starts off as a sectioned body part beginning by regrowing a mouth and archaic digestive system and organs essential for basic functions that will eat anything edible it can reach (at this stage, the weird creature that result in this will act on instinct and doesn't have any human consciousness), it will then grows a thick shell of chitin once it has accumulated enough nutriments and then the body will regenerate within that "chitin egg/cocoon" (this process takes longer than regular regeneration since brain/consciousness are not yet present). This is where one of his neurotoxin/fungus may play an interesting role if they were used beforehand: Chimera can make one of his targets act as a bodyguard to protect him in this vulnerable state (the command has to be activated before cutting off the limb/part). Even as a "larvae state" (just the loose limb with a mouth like part), it will know how to reinject this specific toxin once it feels that it is wearing off, thus the bodyguard will keep watch over it until Chimera will reach at least cocoon stage.
