idk if someone has done this but The Greatest Showman AU but with Dick as Zendaya's character and Wally as Zac's character.
Dick grows up in the circus, performing from place to place and Wally comes from a rich family, producing shows.
Wally falls in love, watching Dick who performs gracefully. Wally watches every show until Dick notices him from the crowd.
Dick thinks it's impossible as they come from very different backgrounds and he worries what people will think of him when he dates Wally. But Wally thinks they can prove every body wrong and their relationship should be given a chance.
then that part of Rewrite The Stars happens and it's just perfect.
Wally: You know I want you. It's not a secret I try to hide.
Dick: You think it's easy. You think I don't wanna run to you.
Wally: What if we rewrite the stars? Say you were made to be mine.
Dick: No one can rewrite the stars. How can you say you'll be mine?
I realize I'm guilty of writing Dick Grayson as far too casual. Like, an inherent part of the character has always been about the bling. Flashy clothes. Jewelry. The confidence to absolutely pull that shit off. He's Circus Boy with a flair for performance and likes attention. I write him in t-shirts and jeans and i absolutely need to evolve that. Am i the only one who does this?
I’ve watched like maybe 3 episodes of Circus Boy and o think every time the kid Corky (Micky Dolenz) has casually decided he’s gonna leave and start a new act with whoever came by the circus that day. Like son, I need you to focus you have no parents (they are dead), you need to stay here with your only guardian okay. You’re stressing him out!
As always Plastic Poetry offered a great, eclectic lineup of readers for its February edition. Bitter cold outside but warm, packed house inside. Once again I got to do the hosting duties – seems Charlie Petch sometimes has a real life 🙂
ferris wheel anyone
