Comfort (Gavril)
This will be a series w/ all the Bubo characters (Gavril, Angelo, Nostre, Daniel, Aku, maybe Tooth too) Love it when my brain comes up with ideas when I have several other WIP's to do
I was crying earlier and my brain in the middle of it went, "but what if the Bubo Characters were here."
WARNINGS: EMOTIONAL, CRYING, CUSSING, OVERALL BAD BAD DAY, ANGST IG??? I HAVE NO IDEA THERE WILL BE LOOTS OF FLUFF THO
Gender-Neutral Reader
----
You felt like crying, screaming.
Everything was shit, every single hour that went by, every single minute, every single second felt long and torturous. Your body felt heavy, head heavy as it pounded with a throbbing headache against your skull, vision blurry.
Why did today of all days in the year have to be so shitty? You woke up late for work, got coffee all over your work clothes and didn't have a spare, got chewed out by your boss because how you forgot to do something yesterday and how you were "representing" the workplace, didn't eat lunch because you forgot to bring your wallet, and so many other things that made you want to wallow into the ground and forget about everything.
Anger, misery, sadness, irritation, annoyance, depression.
You want to cry so bad, you want to break something. Throw something. Anything.
But the moment you walked through your door, the dams broke. Sliding down to the floor, you cried your heart out, you cried out to no one as the bitter tears spilled down your face, dropping onto the floor. It felt pathetic, on your arms and knees just because nothing went right today, nothing went how was suppose to, crying out everything you had to the shadows around you. Wailing out to only the silence that surrounded you.
But it couldn't be helped, keeping every single thing bottled up over the last few months, constantly filling up the cup. This was eventually bound to happen. It was only a matter of time before the water spilled over the edge.
It felt like hours hunched over on the floor, a puddle of tears forming as your wails soon turned to soft hiccups and quiet sniffling. Your throat hurt from all the wailing, nose filled to the brim with runny snot, vision blurred and puffy from the tears with more coming, your limbs going numb from how long they were on the ground. Yet you didn't want to get up, you didn't have the energy to do so.
You stayed there for a few minutes longer taking several deep breaths, building up your energy, before slowly standing up from that position. Your joints popped as you started moving, relieved to be moving again.
You felt disconnected from the world, everything around you seemed to have been numbed down. You felt bland, empty. Every limb in your body felt heavier than before, mind becoming foggy the longer you stood there staring off into space. Your brain went on autopilot, searching for a place to rest, which was the couch.
The fog felt like a long-awaited hug, a hug that feels like it's enveloping your entire body, a hug without warmth. It's just, there...
Curling up on yourself, you laid there wide awake as not even an ounce of sleep crept into your mind as the hours ticked by, you didn't even bother checking the time. Didn't bother getting up.
It was just so easy to just stay there, not worry about anything else, in the moment. Letting the clouds fog your mind as you let your body relax into the cushions.
After what was probably two hours, you hear the familiar sound of footsteps upstairs, creaking against the old floorboards. You didn't even bother panicking about who it was, you didn't feel ready to come out of the comforting fog yet. The footsteps went down the stairs, right next to the couch, yet you didn't feel an ounce of fear go through you. Heartbeat as calm as it could be, beating against your ribcage in a calming manner. Whoever it was can do what they want, you don't even have a care to give.
"Y/N?" You perked up a bit, eyes glancing up at the person looking over from the stairs. It was Gavril, hood still on as his eerily bright eyes shined through the dark. It still scares you how bright his eyes are in the dark, staring at your form unblinking, intensely. Like a kind of cat of sorts. Maybe a perk from the goo. He quickly descends the rest of the stairs, pulling off his hood to reveal his dark curly hair.
You didn't move, just letting a sigh pass your lips as you stared off again. You should've been more excited that Gavril was here, it's been 3 months since you last saw him in person. But you literally cried everything out hours ago, your brain to exhausted to make a reaction. Gavril approaches closer, to where he's hovering over the couch. He seemed.., concerned about you. His brows were furrowed as he had a slight frown on his face. It doesn't seem like he knows how to act whenever someone is like this. He slowly reached out a hand, brushing some of the hairs out of the way that have fallen over your face in a gentle manner.
For a couple of minutes, that's all he does, over and over. Eventually he sits right next to you on the couch, your head in his lap as he gently combs his fingers through your hair.
It feels nice, to be right against him as his touch left a certain type of warmth in your nerves, filling your mind with a good emotion you can't quite put a name to. Eyes fluttering close, you enjoy the gesture, further relaxing your body into his as he continues the gesture. The events of today slowly melting from your mind as the seconds pass.
When his hand was about to pull away, your own grabbed at his wrist, refusing for the affection to be over so soon. "Not yet.." Your voice is hoarse, from your lack of words in the past hours and from the crying. Gavril hasn't said anything, he doesn't point out how you sound, all he does is cup your face in a comforting manner. Exhaustion hits your body like a train, as your mind slowly fades in and out from consciousness, not processing anything around you as you let yourself go.
"I'll be here in the morning.."
...
How did you end up in your bed?
Groggily, you looked around. Yeah you're definitely in your room. Couldn't tell the time though, it was cloudy outside and made the whole room darker, can't tell if it was early morning or the afternoon. You don't remember making the walk upstairs last night, all you remember was curling up on your couch and..
Gavril.
"Fuck, Gavril!" Quickly getting out of bed, and nearly face-planting into the wall, you scrambled out of the room and downstairs to see if he was still here. To see if he actually stayed.
After finally taking the last step, you hear a soft humming from the living room. Glancing over to your right, and there he was, patiently sitting there with something in hand. A old rubix cube you were meant to solve. His coat was discarded, some rips and tears in it, folded neatly on the couch arm as he kept twisting and turning the cube. Didn't seem like he wanted to figure it out, just needed something to busy his mind and hands. Fucking shit, you missed him so badly..
Coming up right behind the couch, you wrap your arms around him, smushing your face into his hair. Which probably wasn't a good idea since he didn't take a shower but you brushed off his smell, only seeking his touch. You felt him jump a bit beneath you from the surprise embrace, but quickly relax as he realized it was only you, returning the gesture as best as he could.
"Hey dear," He coos, drawing patterns into your arm after placing the cube down, "Good to see you better."
"It's good to see you again."
"Yeah? Did you miss me that much?"
"Obviously I would.."
Your hand came up to his hair, playing with the curly ends of them. He seemed to enjoy it, letting out a small hum. A comfortable silence falls over you two, only the quiet breathing of you and Gavril's filling the air.
"Do you...want to talk about last night?" He sounded hesitant when whispering out the question, he seemed unsure in what he was doing. You found it sweet of him that he wanted to make sure you were okay though.
You mulled over the question in your head, thinking it again and again. Do you want to talk about it? I mean, you cried your heart and soul out last night so it should be fine, right? But there's the chance that might make Gavril uncomfortable. He was asking, but there's the benefit of doubt.
"..Just a bad day was all."
"Mm..." He stays quiet for a few moments, thinking something over, "Who do I have to kill?" He attempts what you think is a joke, but you can't tell whether he is actually serious or just trying to cheer you up in some weird way. Eh, he's your weirdo anyway.
"Don't. I love you Gav, but I swear to God do not kill someone just because they made me sad," Pulling your face out of his hair, you lean down to plant a small kiss on his cheek, "unless I ask you too." A cheeky smile makes its way onto your face, jumping over the couch just to sit right beside him. Looking at his face, it seemed to be flushed, a slight look of embarrassment on his face as a wobbly smile takes place. His adorableness just seems to intensity whenever he's flustered, you don't know why but it just makes you fall harder for him.
"Did you eat anything?"
"I, uhm..no not really?"
"You ate everything in the fridge again, didn't you?" His gaze averted to the side as he lets out a nervous chuckle. Letting out a sigh of slight disappointment, you slump onto him, closing your eyes. "'s fine, I needed an excuse to go shopping anyway.." You can't blame him, to be honest. He must've been starving and food must've been scarce. You're surprised he isn't dead yet, or in jail.
"Is it alright if I come?" Thinking it over in your mind, you think of the pros and cons of him coming along.
"..Sure." He's probably going to tag along either way, no matter which answer you chose. But that's fine, you love your skrunckly little rat man either way.
You just hoped he wouldn't try and steal a wheel of cheese, again.

The news that Rooster Teeth is closing has me rushing to buy all the Red vs Blue dvds I didn't currently have. I always thought the series would be available so I only bought it when I stumbled onto them irl it was a fun game to me. But knowing the series could potentially go away has me panicking. See even as I fell out of love with Rooster Teeth as a company, Red vs Blue always remained as one my favorite comfort shows. Despite not totally agreeing where the series went over the years I never stopped enjoying unlike RWBY which lost so much good will for me that I can't really watch the early seasons.
Red vs Blue is one of those constants for me no matter how many times I watch it no matter what state I'm in if I need a laugh I turn on RvB and I can laugh and feel satisfied in the joys as well as the tragedies. The notion it might not be there is terrifying to me so if a piece of media means something to you get the psychical copy as soon as you can, so you never have to worry about it being taken from you.

Waking Up Together *Hawks Imagine Series*
A/N: Day 3? How about it lol.
Tumblr media
You and Hawks had worked the late night patrol, and needless to say, you both were exhausted. You Had had a busy day beforehand, talking to Eraserhead about possibly applying to UA. You wanted to get your hero search and rescue license, but apparently getting your hero license through the Commission wasn’t enough. You had to be enrolled in a hero course somewhere. After that, you had (sports/band/choir) practice and it took a lot out of you. So when you and Hawks got off of patrol and Hawks had messaged his other intern on duty that you two were turning in for the night, you were almost out like a light. You barely had the energy to shower.
You were nearly asleep when Hawks got out of the shower himself. You were laying sprawled out on the couch when Hawks squished in between you and the back of the couch. You gave a playful shove and giggle, “Hawks, there isn’t room for the both of us.”
“Hm, sure there is,” he said sleepily, wrapping his arms around you so you wouldn’t fall off the couch.
“Your feathers are in my mouth!” Hawks chuckled, moving his wings around the back of the couch. Your wings were stretched out behind you, laying across the living room floor. The two of you sat in silence, and before you knew it, you were fast asleep.
You groaned as you woke up, shifting around slightly. Your back and wings were sore, stiff from not moving all night. You felt something tighten around your waist and then someone sighing.
“Morning, dove,” Hawks grumbled sleepily. You hummed in response, enjoying the warmth from the wing Hawks had draped over the both of you sometime during the night. “Sleep ok?” You hummed again. After laying there for a moment, you tried to roll backward and off the couch. Hawks chuckled, “What are you doing?” He loosened his arms around you, letting you do whatever you had in mind.
You rolled off of the couch and onto the floor with a grunt, rubbing your tired eyes. You stretched, letting your wings fully expand. Then you sat up, looking lazily over to Hawks. “Do we work today?” The bird man stood, stretching his own wings out. They shook when he was done.
“Not until this afternoon.”
You reached out a hand as Hawks helped you off the floor. You stretched your own wings when you stood, ruffling them around. Hawks laughed as black feathers littered the room. Keigo made his way to the kitchen to make breakfast as you went to the bathroom.
You and Hawks rarely slept in the same room, let alone together (unless someone had a nightmare) but waking up with him was so comfortable. Unless you had somewhere to be, the two of you would lay around in comfortable silence. On days when you didn’t want to be touched, Hawks would stretch his wings out, letting you lay on it so you’d know he’s still there. On days when you didn’t mind being touched, he’d let you lay in his lap or against his side as the two of you watched your guys’ favorite tv show.
Waking up with Hawks was such a comforting start to your day.

Comfort (Aku Punk)
WARNINGS: STALKING (NOT FROM YOU OR AKU) CUSSING, AKU TRYING HIS BEST, BLOOD, CRYING, SMALL BIT OF VIOLENCE
NOTE: Sorry for the slow delay! School is becoming a pain in the ass rn. I closed requests as of now, bc I still got LOTS of other WIP's to do, but I'm slowly getting through to them. Hope you guys understand ^^
----
You didn't know what happened, everything just seemed to have been blocked out in the moment. One second you were walking down the street, the next you were breathing rapidly as you ran down the streets of LA, constantly nearly eating shit because of the uneven sidewalk.
You ran. You ran all the way back to your apartment, looking over your shoulder every few seconds, straining your eyes to see if anyone was following. You made sure to go through the more populated places of the city, hoping you'd lose whoever was following you.
You've seen their face almost everywhere, even in the complex! You merely thought they were a neighbor and it was a coincidence that you were seeing them everywhere you go. But that wasn't the case at all. It should have been a red flag that you literally saw them trailing you when you decided to go out whenever.
Everything was dizzy, the whole world was spinning around you. You didn't know what happened, it was all so fast.
The sight of your apartment was in sight, right ahead of you. It was only a few blocks away, but it just seemed to far. You urged your legs to keep running, despite them becoming wobbly from how long you've been going for. Climbing up the stairs, nearly tripping on almost all the steps, and nearly falling down them too.
The door was in an arms reach, locked.
You fumbled for your key, constantly looking all around you as you struggled to put it in the hole, breathing rapidly. A click was heard, immediately pushing it open and slamming the door closed, locking it immediately and putting in the chain with violently shaky hands.
Your whole entire body was shaking, from the amount of running you did, from the adrenaline and the absolute fear. The situation of everything finally weighed down on you, tears coming to your eyes as you scrambled towards your bedroom, pulling your your phone out as you closed all curtains that were open on the way.
Dialling the first number your jumbled mind could think of, you brang the phone up to your ear, sliding down against the wall as you counted the rings.
Ring...
Ring...
Ring...
"Yeah wha–?"
"S-ome–" Your throat was closing up on you, your mouth gaping open like a fish out of water, trying to choke out words that stuck to the back of your throat, "someo-one's be–en following me.." Tears streamed down your face as you held the phone to your ear, knuckles turning white from the grip you have on it. Hiccups kept interrupting your words, you weren't even sure he even understood it in any way.
Silence was heard on his end, you could hear the quiet shuffling of footsteps and distant talking of people in the background. It was uncomfortable to say the least, your uneven breathing and the soft hiccups you let out as you hugged your legs close to your body.
He finally responded after a few seconds, his tone was unreadable but it was firm, "Where are you now?"
"My apar–tment.."
"I'm on my way." He hung up without letting you get another word in. You wished he stayed on the line for a bit longer, to at least comfort you in a way. Though he gets like that and freezes up a bit, it didn't matter to you, his presence by itself brought you comfort.
A knocking from the front door made your whole entire body freeze. You held your breath to make sure you weren't hearing things, hoping it was just something your jumbled mind misheard.
Several seconds go by..
Knock knock knock
It was more faster this time, harsher. No way did he get here that fast, his work is literally 10 minutes away and you literally just got off the phone with him. The knocking kept going, and going, until it was literally banging and it sounded like the person on the other side was actually trying to break down your door.
Your breathing picks up, more tears rushing down the curve of your cheeks as everything tangled up in your mind. Curling up was all you could even do, hugging your legs even closer to yourself as the knocking got louder and louder. An attempt to muffle the noises, your hands covered your ears, pressing them against the sides of your head to block out the sound.
It didn't help though.
All you could hear was the rapid beating of your heart and the uneven breathes coming from your mouth. Everything was spiraling all around you, becoming blurred together as you began to see black dots appearing in your vision, your throat closing up again.
----
'fuck fuck fuck FUCK'
It was the only thing racing through his mind as he drove another red light, barely moving his foot from the gas pedal. He didn't care that he broken several laws of the road, didn't care if there was any police officers chasing after him (which they probably are, he didn't bother checking the mirrors).
All that mattered was them.
A few strands of his hair fell out of his ponytail, slightly covering his left eye, obscuring his view of the road. He didn't bother to move it behind his eye, being used to it there anyway.
With the apartment in his sights, he pressed against the gas even more as he zooms into the parking lot, not even bothered to park it correctly as he stumbled out of the car. Rushing up the stairs, he hears banging against something. The closer he got to your apartment, the louder it became.
Until he was finally a few doors from your apartment, he finally saw the source of the pounding. He didn't bother to study the details of the imbecile, his body moving before his mind could catch up.
Reeling his fist back, he threw a punch into the person's ribcage, with enough force to knock them down to the floor as they let out a wheeze from the air being knocked out of their lungs. He may seem like a scrawny guy to others, but he knows how to throw a good few punches. They tried to get up, an attempt to scramble away from the redhead, only for it to be in vein as he kicks them in the stomach. Possibly some internal bleeding. But that's what they deserve.
Crouching down to their level, he grabs them by the hair, making eye contact with them as he scowls at them in absolute disgust.
"You messed with the wrong person, you fucker."
With a final punch he aims it at their nose, screams of pain coming out of their mouth as he lets go of them, their head dropping. Watching them curl up into a fetal position as they cradle their broken nose, blood dripping in-between their fingers as he watches in satisfaction.
Pulling out his phone, he sends a text to one of the other people in the organization, standing there as he waits for a response back. Knowing how people don't bother to learn their lesson, he might as well make some use of the garbage for something else.
----
The sudden silence unnerved you to no ends. You were still in your room, hands over your ears as he took deep breaths to calm yourself. You didn't even notice the knocking have stopped until a few seconds ago. Putting your hands down, you strain your hearing for anything else from outside.
Only the passing cars and honks from outside.
Getting up from the floor, you slowly walked out of your room, wiping the tears from your eyes as you walked to the front door. You intended to look into the peephole to see if they were still outside, waiting. A shiver crept up your spine at the thought. You hope to whatever the hell is up there that he got here and dealt with the person.
Though what you weren't expecting was to see your boyfriend on the couch, his hair a total mess, and his whole body relaxed. One of his legs were propped up on the couch while the other one was still firmly on the ground, the rest of his body laid down as he had one of his hands up in the air, wrist limp as he keeps it up in there. Sometimes he would swing it back and forth a little bit.
"Babe? Wh-when did you get here?" Speaking hurts a bit, throat still closing up a little as you let the words out. His head moved towards your direction, a smile coming onto his face as they land on you.
He doesn't say a word, only sitting up a bit as he opens his arms, an indication for hugs. Without hesitation, you jump into him, curling your arms around him tightly as you shove your face into his neck. Pulling you closer, he uses one of his hands to gently comb through your hair. You noticed that he was still in his work uniform, the discarded gloves on the couch arm, and the hazardly thrown keys on the ground.
That didn't matter though, you thought as you closed your eyes. You're just glad he was here now..
----
"Hey Bubo,"
"Yes, Aku Punk?"
"You mind if we keep this one awake?" Bubo gave him a quizzical look underneath the mask, a strange question for his lab partner to ask.
"Is..Is there a specific reason why?"
"Yeah." Aku says casually, preparing his serums and tools for the experiment about to happen. He knows he won't give him anything more than that, no matter how much he might ask. Though last time he did that, he nearly got a needle stabbed into his eye..
Bubo shivers at the thought, it merely happened around the time he started too. So clueless he was back then. He studied his lab partner's body language for anything particular, anything that might give him a clue on why he asked something like that. Or maybe he might've drank another of those serums again..
"I mean, I guess?"
"Cool beanz. So," He claps his hands together, the spandex of his gloves making it sound louder in the nearly empty room, "-mind handing me those blueprints so I have an idea of what we're doing?" A mischievous grin creeps up his face, eyes slowly moving towards the operating table where a person laid.
Wordlessly, Bubo hands him a rolled up paper, pulling up his gloves a bit before straighten out his back. Picking up a scalpel, he turns towards the person, as he sees signs of them waking up already, slowly but surely.
Aku Punk got his revenge in the end. And did he enjoy every. Single. Moment.

Comfort fandom.
4/7/2023. Doodled in Platinum Preppy fountain pen, using Noodler's Ink. Some fixes with white-out and Krita.
Just remembering that whether I'm enjoying a series in a community or alone, fandom is my mental/emotional safe place. (But a comfort community IS really nice though, when you can find a safe one.) I just want my fluffiness. A reliable place in my head, whenever I'm going through emotional turmoil.

The chokehold. I don’t even know where to start.
Well. I finally finished this. I’m so sad and don’t wanna say good bye to this world and characters. This has become such a comfort duet. Thank you Harley Laroux for giving me such a healing journey and characters I adore to the moon. Thank you for giving me an escape on those days I don’t feel like I belong. I guess it’s really not goodbye just see ya later. I will be visiting again. ❤️
Say hello to my most tabbed books.

Family Visits *Platonic Hawks Imagine Series*
A/N: Decided to pick this series back up!
Warnings: bad biological family
Tumblr media
“Hey birdie, are you alright?” questions Hawks as he pokes his head into your bedroom. “I haven’t seen you much today, and I’m kinda worried about you.” You were curled up in your bed, hidden under your weighted blanket. Keigo could see tufts of your h/c hair poking out of the hood of your sweatshirt.
“May I come in, dove?” He was leaning against the doorway now. You hummed softly and Keigo entered the room, crouching down beside the bed. “You know? I could have sworn I heard my little birdie make a sound. But I can’t seem to find them,” he joked softly. “Where could they be?” He lifted the hood to your sweatshirt slightly, then smoothed the hair away from your forehead. He smiled softly, saying, “There you are sweetheart. Everything ok?”
You sniffled, shaking your head and sitting up in the process. Your voice wavered as you let out a soft, “No.”
Hawks frowned, then quickly moved to sit on the edge of the bed. He rested a hand on your knee. “What happened, Y/N?”
You wiped your eyes before searching for your phone. You found it under one of your many pillows, unlocking it and then handing it over to Hawks. “It’s my bio family. They want to meet me.”
Hawks read through the texts and you could see anger in his eyes. “How did they get your number?”
You shrugged, sniffling again. “I don’t know. I don’t even know who they are. I only remember--” you choked on a sob, covering your mouth with your hands. Your breathing hitched, and suddenly you let out a sob. Hawks was quick to toss your phone off to the side, wrapping his wings around you. He pulled you tight to his chest, running a hand through your hair.
“Hey, baby,” he cooed softly. “I know. You don’t have to explain anything to me. I know what they did to you. You’ve told me before. You don’t need to relive it.” He let you cry into his chest as he attempted to calm you down. “You need to breathe, N/N. I’ve got you. It’s ok.” He rocked you back and forth, whispering comforting words until you pulled away from him. He gently wiped the tears from your cheeks, then pressed a quick kiss to your head. “We’re gonna change your phone number, ok? That way they can’t reach out to you again.”
You nodded, raising a shaking hand to your face to wipe at your nose. “Please?”
“Of course.”
“Can we go to the living room?” you asked quietly. “Watch a movie? I want to forget about it.”
“Anything for you baby bird,” Hawks cooed. “Come on, big brother Keigo is here to help.” You giggled softly at his comment, swatting his hand away when he attempted to ruffle your hair.
You had told Keigo the very little information you had about your biological family, seeing as you’d been raised by the commission. Since then, Hawks swore that you’d never have to deal with them again. He didn’t know who they were, and neither did you, but any time you needed to vent about what you remembered, or if something triggered a bad memory of them for you, Keigo was always there to calm you down and help you remember that you were with him now. He was your family, and he was all that you needed.
