Ryomen Sukuna
TW: suggestive noncon, threats, Sukuna in general
gn reader
Tumblr media
Thinking about sorcerer ! reader – only instead of having a really offensive technique, it's purely defensive.
A power to pacify. Creating the ultimate stalemate. All attacks are nullified – people can’t even throw one measly punch your way.
– which obviously means you’re the ultimate babysitter for trigger-happy curses like Sukuna.
The only issue is…. you don’t at all behave in accordance with your technique.
You are perhaps the most childish and bratty sorcerer he’s ever been forced to share air with. Even worse than that white-haired prick. Where with him – he could at least spar. But you? You just monitor him while making the most meaningless and ever-so-grating conversation.
“I read in an old book that you’re a cannibal.” You muse with a smile. Eyes vibrant with curiosity – playful even – as though the prospect of him eating human flesh shouldn’t be making your own skin run raw with goosebumps. “Is that true?”
His brow raises at your eagerness. His mouth is a prim line before muttering an unenthusiastic. “Yes.”
“Really?” You jump. “Why? Does it taste good?”
It’s an awfully stupid question – he thinks with an ever-growing wrinkle furrowing his brows. But suppose explaining to you how it’s meant to strike fear into people’s hearts would only make you laugh.
He huffs.
“Tastes like meat.”
“Right~” You sing-song as though it was a satisfying answer – but then almost immediately add onto it. “So, like chicken or beef?”
You really are such a nuisance, he thinks. Grumbling. “Pig.”
You hum – then smack your lips. And he feels another onset of annoyance – expecting another moronic query to come pouring gracelessly from your lips.
“You’re a little disappointing – you know that?” You say instead.
He picks his head up at that – finally looking back at you through the bars of his cell to where you sit opposite way on a chair – looking straight back at him, fearing no harm.
There are about a million seals covering the walls, keeping him trapped. Though you’d feel just as safe without them.
“I’d thought you’d have more to say, but…” You pout. “Turns out you’re just boring.”
His nose makes an offended scrunch – eyes narrowed. “Watch how you speak to me.”
You laugh – your chuckle in itself is something that makes the hairs at the back of his neck rise out of ire. That smug smile on your face enough to have his fists ball at his sides – and at the moment you lick your lips, saying, “Or what?” he’s already on his feet with his hands wrapped tight around the bars – knuckles turning white in his grip.
His skin sizzles from the cursed energy imbued in the metal – like holy water to a demon – and still, he doesn’t let go. Four eyes, blood red, glaring at you with a look that’s nothing short of deadly. If he could, you knew he’d have your heart in his hand forever ago. But the fact that he doesn’t – the fact that he can’t – only makes your grin ever sharper.
“Wow~” You tease. “Look at that face~” Giggling. “So scary~”
His nostrils flare as he releases the bars. Hands healed shortly after. “One of these days, brat – I’ll have you on your knees.”
You feign a gasp. “Sukuna~ so indecent~” Your grin lessens into a coy smirk. “To think the King of Curses is flirting with little ole me~” You bite your lip, looking kittenish – eyes amused while watching him recede into the dark of his cell.
You break from the act with another laugh.
Beginning anew. “I do have a question, though.”
“Naturally.” He mutters, stretching his arms – all four – one pair above his head and the other behind his back.
“Are you double-packed down there as well? The same with the rest of you? Or~”
His spine cracks between tensed shoulders – and you think, to be a thousand-year-old specter, he’s awfully easy to rile up.
But then he laughs – a throaty, low-tuned snicker that echoes against the cell walls.
“As I said – one of these days…” He walks up to the bars again, his chin fitting through them. “You’ll find out.”
There’s another chuckle – his eyes slim with something that makes you feel naked. Suddenly flushed – smile gone – you watch him lick his lips.
“And to answer your next question, you insufferable brat.”
You gulp.
“I think you’ll taste like peaches.”

Its been awhile and i have another OC to share LOL gotta draw brain rots instead of keeping them in your head forever ☺️💖
Name: Aurore Dormir
School: Royal Sword Academy
Pastime: Escaping school to wander in the nearby forest, spending time alone
Hobbies: Sightseeing, Gardening, Fencing.
Family: Father, Mother , *Brother ( silver, please refer to the last note regarding my own theory)
Tumblr media
Aurore is a third year student at RSA, currently house warden of the sleeping beauty inspired dorm.
Aurore is also the next king of the Kingdom of Heroes, which naturally made him the center of attention in RSA.
Unlike Malleus whose powerful aura pushes people away from him, Aurore draws people towards him as they feel a sense of security around him.
He was only recently enrolled into school during his second year as his family brought him back from isolation for training, far away from the world’s eyes.
At first glance, Aurore may seem like the ideal dream prince: Kind, Polite, Courageous, Strong and Smart as he is consistent in securing top grades across his cohort. But deep down, he isn’t exactly the perfect prince most of his peers think he is.
Aurore is actually afraid of strangers and overwhelming attention ( he was raised in isolation so meeting humans are.. yeah) He is skilled at hiding his weakness but starts blanking out if there are too many people crowding around him.
As a result, he finds happiness in spending time alone in places where no one recognises him. He usually takes a short stroll around Sage Island’s various forests when his caretakers aren’t looking.
Strangely, Aurore mentions that his enjoyment from lonely strolls only existed because he would suddenly find himself in unknown places as a child…as if something or someone was calling him. But he became mentally stronger as he got older and knows how to guard himself during his impromptu walks.
Tumblr media
Bonus personal theory/lore:
Hi! So if you have been following me since i started creating twst ocs, you would be familiar with a certain comic i drew for an Aurora Oc ( its not exactly Aurore because i didn’t flesh him out) . But to sum up my theory for that comic:
There was once a powerful kingdom that clashed with briar valley, humans and fae did not get along as well back then.
Somewhere in between the war, both of the queen’s sons were cursed by a powerful magician and separated at birth. The queen initially wanted to send her two sons far away from the castle, but only managed to send one tucked away in a casket that drifted on a hidden river which led to a forest.
The war ended a few days later, with both fae and humans forming a truce. The queen fell into depression after realising that her second son probably did not make it and blamed herself for not keeping him a little longer had she known he would have been safe and alive in her arms.
Time heals wounds, and with some reassurance from the King the Queen got back up on her feet stronger for the sake of her people. Of course, sometimes the servants would catch a glimpse of the lonely Queen staring into the far forests wondering if she will ever see those small pair of Aurora coloured eyes again.
Because the Queen conceived her two sons alone away from the servants, only she and the King were aware of their other missing son. The three fairy advisors who had protected them from the very start told the Queen that if word of two cursed princes were to spread, the kingdom would be doomed to fall . The Queen had no choice but to accept this decision, and so they entrusted their only son to the three fairies in case the curse within him acts up. Hence Aurore was raised in isolation away from the world’s attention and only enrolled in his second year to prevent the curse from possibly manifesting.
In this story I created Silver is the missing prince in question who drifted far into the forest and eventually picked up by Lilia. His only proof of his royal status is a ring with an aurora coloured gem (Book 7 mention).
Regarding the curse: Silver was cursed to feel drowsy all the time while Aurore was cursed to follow a voice in his head which leads him to sleepwalk into dangerous places alone. Silver’s hair colour reminds me of the spindle/needle, so in a way he contains the sleeping curse. Like Aurora, Aurore is drawn into strange places by a voice and eventually to the spindle. Hence these two will always feel an unfamiliar sense of closeness to each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Yao why do you think Silver would have a brother? Much less the RSA guy inspired by Aurora? Doesn’t Silver already have Aurora’s traits?”
In general this is just my own fun theory to think about, but my reasons are because i think it would be interesting if Silver canonically had living family member(s) from a royal family( that ring kinda tells all). It would also put him in place wondering if he should return to his biological human family or stay with his Briar Valley family as he feels a stronger bond with them. With the way TWST tackles issues about fae/human like Sebek from example, i would love to see Silver’s resolve for his found family.
In my old comic, the Aurora OC actually dislikes Fae because of the war. He especially hates Lilia because he believed the war criminal took his own brother away and is promoting peace despite his past.
I feel Aurore would dislike Lilia but eventually learns to see the war from both sides as humans aren’t all that great either, he is still a naive prince with much to learn about the world. So while Silver does have Aurora’s trait, Aurore may have some of King Stefan’s from Maleficent/OG film. TWST tends to combine diff character traits anyways🌝👍
Anyways I adore these two so much and am looking forward to Silver’s past in the future updates! Thank you for reading about Aurore, till next time 💖

What if instead of waking up in the mushroom body, sqq woke up in a doll.
Tumblr media
Something something while lbh was away in the abyss, sqq without noticing offended a misterious (demonic-succubi-esque???) cultivator with a weird thing for making dolls. She had dolls all over her secret workshop that she very kindly let him into when she heard about the famous Xiu Ya sword being in the city.
What she wanted of him? Who knows, sqq couldn't bring himself to care. She probably wanted his money or try to steal his hair, the hair of those dolls seemed very much like real hair, although he had to admit the level of details on these dolls were amazing.
(she wanted to trick him into buying one of her cursed dolls and steal his life energy little by little, but got wifebeamed by widow sqq during their conversation about how talented she was to be able to make so many dolls, and without really understanding he rejected her with little to no emotion on his face)
So she cursed him, and since sqq didn't feel anything bad at the moment he thought it just didn't work and left, not sparing the curse a single thought after their encounter.
The rest of the story goes as usual, excep that after he self detonates his soul doesn't go into the mushroom body, instead it got directly into the shape of a doll in the workshop of this woman.
His first thought is thinking someone snitched the mushroom body bc wtf wasn't he supposed to wake up under the dirt??? Why this place smells slightly familiar? Like paint and humidity and floral perfumes?? and why everything looks fucking giganourmus?!?! A teapot should NOT look that big from his position....Oh no, did the mushroom body turned out as small as a squirrel? WhAT is happening?!
And then he looks at his arms and legs, and he has joints. White paper skin with joints in his wrists, elbows, torso, waist, knees, feet. And he panics, a lot.
The woman who cursed him starts monologuing about how she trapped him now, and you are mine, I made this doll specially for you master shen, this is my revenge for your insolence to leave me yada yada- Sqq stoped listening a while ago.
Somehow he manages to escape from this woman and now he is roaming around as the size of some apples. Everything is huge. Everything is dangerous, even the grasshopers! And this body is fragile! He can't feel heat nor cold, neither hunger or other things, but he is useless with no spiritual veins inside, and if someone is not looking carefully, they might crush him. And the way back to cq is gonna be a hell of a trip! But he needs airplane to fix this. He can't stay as a doll forever! He needs a mushroom body and then fly into the sunset far from this mess! Adiós! Goodbye! So his new plan is to infiltrate into cang qiong, look for that rat and disappear. Sneaking into some disciple's pouch must be enough to break in.
Tumblr media
Something something it only had passed a few months since lbh stole sqq's body and everything is still very fresh. CQ mountain is a hot mess. Sqh frankly needs to lay down and take a nap. Lqg keeps figthing with Lbh practially every day and coming back beaten bloody, he has his king pestering him and a lot of paperwork to do, Lbh is a pain in the ass, Yqy is really close to snap and start a war with HHP, and he knows nothing about his bro. So yeah. Such a great time to be alive.
The mushroom bodies should had been ready, right? He must be alright...Yeah. He has enough already to keep him busy. Cucumber bro is gonna come out and stumble across at any moment. No one would bat an eye if he takes a nap, right? He deserves it. He is overworked enough for another lifetime, his head hurts, his bones hurt everywhere, a short nap should be fine...
Until he feels something small tugging his robes and a cold tiny finger poking his eyelids. But he doesn't want to. He is very comfortable on the floor of his office. Whatever bird decided to pick a fight with his face can keep trying.
"AIRPLANE, WAKE UP, YOU HACK! I NEED YOU TO FIX THIS! WHY IS A WITCH WITH ANACHRONISTIC HAUNTED DOLLS IN THIS NOVEL? THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"
That voice. That fucking annoying voice was of just one person and one person only. He opened his eyes, looking for the source of the unmistakable voice of his No1 hater, but he came across with a pretty porcelain doll. With a very ugly sneer in it's face.
Tumblr media
"W-Wha-?...Bro-?!"
"Fucking finally! Why are you sleeping on the floor in your ofice?! I was looking around your bedroom like an idiot! Do you know how close I was to falling from your window?!"
-TBC-

Your only and most devoted.
Heian era!Ryomen Sukuna x Male!Reader
A/N: Potentially abusive relationship, There is a slight mischaracterization of the character, but nothing much beyond that. The reading can be interpreted as 16+, although it is not a smut. Can be read as ftm!reader. Don't date someone like Sukuna ☠️.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Summary: Having a relationship with Ryomen Sukuna is crazy, everyone knows that. But, it's generally agreed that [Name] is crazy enough for that. The human man clearly has no sense of danger, or just loves the feeling of being grabbed and squeezed by the ancient sorcerer.
Another massacre was completed, and [Name] happily returned to the place where Ryomen Sukuna lives. With it, several bodies were also carried without much difficulty. Of course, all these dead human bodies would be given as food. That was the man's job, to do whatever Sukuna told him to do.
It is curious to think that he is the only being who came close to Sukuna and lived peacefully to tell the story... But it does not matter. The king of curses' right-hand man soon arrives at his destination, and once he does, he hands the bodies over to Uraume to cook.
...
[Name] kneels. It's him... He deserves absolute respect, and of course [Name] will do that.
"O great Sukuna, allow me to warn you that dinner will be ready very soon." The human says, still with his head lowered. Although it is customary to do so, he preferred to be on Sukuna's lap...
The man in front of him lets out a brief laugh, he needs to say; finds it pathetic to see [Name] kneeling. Maybe because he knows the human would rather be somewhere else right now, like in his lap, or because he remembers some moments when [Name] was in that exact position, but looking up at him...
"... Come here quickly, don't make me wait." He knew how to read [Name]'s mind so well.
It doesn't take long for [Name] to be on the other man's lap. Sukuna's hands slowly roamed over his smaller body, he had that typical smile on his face, the smile that [Name] loves so much. It's that sadistic smile, of someone who knows they have someone in their hands, and that they can do whatever they want with them.
"I love you-"
"I know."
No words are said after that, it wouldn't be necessary. Sukuna always knew everything [Name] thought. The human's short hair was caressed by the king of curses, in an almost obsessive way. All of Sukuna's actions had something more... And that was another thing [Name] loved.
He likes how the king of curses kisses him, how he runs his hands over his body, and how he makes a point of showing that he is the most special. And of course he is. He is the only one who can touch the four-armed man's body, he is the only one who can feel Sukuna's warm tongue inside his mouth, the only one who will always be by his side.
Tumblr media
This isn't a romance, it's not cute at all. It is a purely feeling of adoration, possession and obsession that only [Name] has come to have with Sukuna. He would go to hell if it meant being with Sukuna forever, he is insane and nothing can change that.

INTRIGUE (True Form Sukuna x Reader)
Tumblr media
꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶꒷꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶꒷꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶꒷꒦︶
𓆩ꨄ︎𓆪
Humans.
Though weak creatures, they cause chaos wherever and whatever era. It only seems like the only consistent thing in this world. They crawl like the desperate pathetic ants they are, forever struggling to survive day by day. The other idiot ants feel superior to the others, taking advantage of their power that they’d go so far as to take the food that others worked hard to haul onto the hill only for them to have it for themself.  Corruption. No matter the age, Ryomen Sukuna - King of Curses- has witnessed the same thing over and over again. It’s getting a little tiring to look at.
This is the exact description that anyone in the village would put in the Kamo clan - the corrupt and tyrant rulers. They are wealthy and at the top of the power hierarchy, the very source of corruption, of abuse. The men in the family would beat, abuse, and take advantage of their blood relatives. Some are sold, adding more riches to their unnoble stockpile of treasure. To any lowlife they come across and feel like harassing, they would do so through pain and torture or even just public humiliation just for fun. There wasn’t any person that was brave enough to stand up against them. They were the only ones who were capable of protecting them from curses that would invade them from time to time. The people in that village are under their mercy. Where else can they go when there are curses out there beyond, not knowing how many are out threading freely?
Sukuna sighs in exasperation as he remains squatting on a tree branch, overlooking the nearby village under the bright sun. Sukuna hides in the forest, far away enough that humans wouldn’t loiter around much but close enough that he can watch what goes on in that small puny community. If he does encounter a human, his terrifying four-armed figure will be the last thing that they’d see before their demise. However, in recent days, there haven’t been a lot of humans threading deep into the forest because of the rumors that people who go there never return. Because of this, he hasn’t eaten for weeks and is currently starving for meat. Sukuna debates if it is time to raid the village to satiate his hunger and quench his thirst for blood.
As if on queue, there was a rustle from the bushes nearby and a familiar scent carried in the wind to which Sukuna wasted no time but to take it all in with one big whiff. It’s the scent that he’s been longing for so long.
Food.
He makes his move, swinging his four arms from one branch to another as quietly as possible, making his way toward the delicious smell. He won’t be bothered to check if this one’s good meat, the only thing he cares about is to quiet down the rumbling of his stomach. When he reaches a safe enough distance, he crouches down his big frame behind one of the bushes near the small river stream. Sukuna’s red eyes shine against the sun as soon as it lands on his meal, licking his lips.
It was a small girl with short hair, the bottom of her purple kimono neatly folded as she was squatting down at the side of the stream, running a hand in the water while staring in silence. She has her back turned to him as she hums a tune to herself. This was a very easy and effortless catch for Sukuna, a little girl with her guard down. He doubted that he would feel full after ingesting her whole being but it was better than nothing.  The King crouched down and waited, getting ready to pounce until he finally did with a deafening roar.
Sukuna lands where she is, thinking he has crushed her. He was ready to dig his fingers into her body when he realized that he didn’t hear any screaming and that there was no one underneath him. Confused, he looks around only to see the girl had dogged him and is now holding her hands up.  This completely baffled Sukuna as he stared at the girl’s shocked but not scared face.
“E-easy there, I don’t intend to harm you. I’m sorry if I wandered too far into your territory.” She says in a high-pitched shaky voice. “I-I know you must be h-hungry. I’m actually carrying hens in the b-basket I’m carrying, if that would suffice”
Watching the girl talk made his blood boil. How dare she outwit him by dodging his attack? He would’ve consumed her by now if it weren’t for her eagerness to live. The foolish human thinks she can talk her way out of getting eaten by the King of Curses. He runs towards her, claws extended in front of him when she jumps out of the way again but this time, he can grab her by the foot. She yelps in pain at what he thought because of his grip but he looks down and sees a massive bruise on her ankle. It looked like it had been there for a few days so it couldn’t be because of him. She screams and lands on the shallow side of the water, wetting her hair, face, and upper body. He drags her leg towards him, laughing at the way she digs her fingers into the soil trying to stop herself from getting dragged. With ease, he lifts her upside down with one hand, satisfied with the way her Kimono drops down exposing her slender legs and undergarments.
“Oi, oi, oi! That’s no way to treat a lady, Mister!” She makes an effort to shake her fist at him despite being upside down. “P-please, maybe you should try the hen first?!”
The gull of this human to keep talking as if her life was not about to end made him stop in his movements to look down on her. Her face is panicked but not scared. This takes the fun out of killing her but he’s really after the food instead of the thrill. Still, Sukuna has never encountered a girl who acted this way. It was always screaming, crying, and flailing their hands which made it all the more delicious when he finally sank his sharp teeth into their flesh, silencing the pathetic pleas. Still holding her upside down, his eyes curiously do a double take on this peculiar filth he managed to catch. The little girl, no, this young woman had bruises, burns, and cuts all over her limbs. Some wounds have already been scars but others are still healing. The curse thought this person was a little girl but no doubt she was a woman with her mature figure and breasts. It was just that she was incredibly thin as if the concept of food was never introduced to her. Sukuna knows that he told himself before he attacked that he wasn’t gonna bother with the quality of this meat, but this made him lose his appetite. But mostly, he was curious about what this filth went through, and why doesn’t she act as if life was taken from her, like an empty shell. Instead, she has a wild and bright spirit in her that burns his eyes. It was. . . interesting.
He drops her to the ground.
“See, see! Hens do sound good if you just give it a chance. Come, come!” The woman scrambles to her feet to reach for the basket near the stream. She whips it around and offers it to him, with a hopeful smile on her face or a grateful one for having shown mercy. “They’re fresh from my uncle’s farm!”
He stares at this ridiculous scene in front of him for a moment before crossing both pairs of his arms. “Get that fucking thing out of my face, you filthy being. What do you take me for?”
The curse’s deep menacing voice was frightening enough that the young woman recoiled, pulling the hen back to her chest.  She was too stunned to say anything.
“Well then, why didn’t you eat me if you didn’t want the hen?”
This made Sukuna pull a dumbfounded face for her to talk to him so bluntly. He curls his lips in amusement, “You’re as filthy as they come, human. You’ve ruined my appetite with your disgusting state.”
“Hm?! Do you mean my injuries? I didn’t know curses were so picky.” She puts her hand on her chin as if in deep thought.
“So you know what a curse is then, filth. Are you not afraid?”
“Should I be?” For the first time, there was a small smile on her lips as she stared up into the king’s eyes. “I’m well aware that people who enter the forest never come back and I know for sure that they’re eaten by curses. I didn’t think I’d encounter one so soon though, and it is the King himself, no less.”
It’s as if everything that comes out of this filth’s mouth was made to surprise Sukuna every time it opens. He still hadn’t come to terms with that this was all happening, so he couldn’t stop himself from laughing maniacally out loud out of the ridiculousness of it all, of his sharp teeth bearing in front of her. She flinches a little at the sight of him.
“You amuse me!” He finally says as soon as he stops laughing. “Bear to me your name, filth.”
She says her name in a small voice.
“Never heard of you! Nonetheless, I shall not forget you, filth. I’m  still hungry and I’m still going to eat you despite how you are.”
He laughs a little when he sees her shoulders drop and deflate at the realization that her life was not spared, the hen finally flies out of her grasp.
“Uh- I know I came here knowing my fate but it seems that I'm afraid to die after all. I know you’re hungry. Are you alright with at least an arm? Or a leg? I can give you that much.”
Again, he was taken aback by the words that left her lips once more. Before he can even say anything, she throws her left arm in his direction. “How about this arm?! There aren't many cuts here?”
For the first time, Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, was at a loss for words. He glares down at the odd creature in front of him, wondering what’s wrong with her. He takes a few steps back, widening the distance between them. After a few steps, he plops himself cross-legged on the ground. They carefully watch each other in silence, wary of each movement one of them makes. In the background, the hen she was once holding was leisurely bathing itself in the shallow end of the water.
“Human,” Sukuna finally speaks to her, who flinches again. “Tell me, why are you decorated like a warrior and sickly thin like that of a twig?”
The girl deflates in her seat again in the grass. She looked down at the stream and opted to go back to her position before Sukuna attacked her, one hand dipping in the water. Silence blankets them once more as she gathers her thoughts.
“Hmmm. . .if you’re not going to eat me, then what are you planning to eat? Do you eat pigs?”
“I asked you a question, filth. I have yet to hear your answer.”
“- Because if you eat pigs, I could go ahead and grab one from the village and offer it to you. I don’t think I just leave knowing that you’re hungry if you’re kind enough not to kill me.”
“Are you not going to answer me?”
“Can I at least offer you something to eat first before I do?”  She gives a sheepish smile. “I know what it’s like not having anything to eat, as you can tell. My arm is still on the offer if that will help you.”
“Bring me another human, then.”
She was quiet for a bit, removing her hand from the water and then bringing it up to her chin in thought, not minding the water droplets dripping on her kimono since it was already messy from the earlier event. “Do you think an older lady will be okay? She’s on the brink of her death. She’s got a plump frame.”
Sukuna laughs again in amusement. “Do you have no regard for your kind? Oh, Humans!”
She shrugs, then grins, “I heard you like cooked humans. I can cook her for you if you’d like.”
His ears perk at this. It has been a while since he tasted cooked human meat. His previous servant was the only one who could cook for him and they have long since parted nearly a decade ago. His stomach growls at the mere suggestion of grilled meat.
She lightly laughs, her eyes softening. “I take that as a yes. I can do that much for you for your kindness. You may find it odd for me to kill my kind, but honestly, I think it’s better to put her out of her misery. She was a great woman.”
“How do I know you’ll come back, filth? I know, if you do not come back when the full moon rises, I will burn down your village.”
Sukuna had a small inkling that she wouldn’t mind her village burning down, seeing how she is all covered in different types of injuries just from living there, but the mere mention of her village made the color drain from her face.
“Understood, then.” As the girl stands up with the basket full of hens, she makes an effort to dust off her kimono but it doesn't do anything. “Full moon it is!”
“Hurry up, fifth. I do not like waiting.” Sukuna says before standing up and walking back into the forest where he came from.

☆━━━━☆━━━━☆
Fire and Blood—the words of your House.
Fire and Blood—a warning to those who would ever think of opposing the Targaryen dynasty.
Fire and Blood—a declaration of war met with threats disguised as promises.
You were etched out of those great words. Born covered in a veil of maroon with the stench of death. A hollow child with sunken eyes kissed by the very fire that gave your family their power. When the dragon egg in your crib never hatched you were thrown into the dragon’s den. Ignited by a dragon who was not yours to claim, your skin holding the memories of your failure. The Cursed Targaryen Princess—without a mother, without a dragon, and maimed.  Your misfortunes were a stain upon the tapestry of the Targaryen legacy.
A fate you were lucky enough to not shoulder alone, Aegon like you was born of your mothers blood. Born out of a desperate need to uphold old customs and beliefs. While his birth was celebrated it also split the Realm, whispers of his right as future king followed him throughout his life. The notions of king left heavy expectations for him to shoulder, expectations he never met, always falling short in one way or another. Resulting in his feverish drinking and promiscuity.
You are both young when you realize the shortcomings of your livelihoods. The drop in your father’s voice whenever he spoke of you. The frigid overcast that glazed over his eyes when his eyes set on you. The blatant favoritism he showed towards your much older sister—the tenderness in his eyes was a warmth you had never felt. His disdain leaked into your interactions; an uncomfortable shadow fell upon his brow whenever you were in his presence. As if your very being pained him, and how could it not? You were the walking reminder of his wife’s death, of his failure as not just a husband but a King.
Aegon knows the resentment his mother harbors towards him despite her denial. Her first born conceived of a loveless marriage. She had been a girl and made a monarch overnight and some months later a mother. She was robbed of her girlhood and tied to the crown forever and Aegon had been the first nail in her coffin. Aegon represented every sacrifice she had made and his constant rebellion felt like an insult to everything Alicent lost.
You understood one another, in ways many could not. Cut from the same cloth amalgamations of Targaryen indulgence, stubbornness, and passion. The least favored children of the King and Queen, bonded over neglect and resentment.
Years forged your attachment into blind fidelity, a sickly devotion that was rooted in your hearts like oaths. The world hardly existed outside the two of you and it didn’t stop for anyone without the Targaryen name. While many believed there were no exceptions to your coterie, they would find themselves proven wrong. For nearest and dearest to you was Helaena and Aemond, both as intertwined with one another as you and Aegon.
Though the four of you were close none of you shared an inkling of a relationship with your eldest sister. Rhaenyra had left for Dragonstone and never turned back, no word or ravens ever arrived in her stead.
When she had resided in the Keep she made no effort to hide her aversion towards you. She was a specter in your memory and marked as a heathen by the Queen. The Queen marked Rhaenyra a great many things and left a bitter child you swallowed her words like water.
It came to no surprise to anyone when the Queen announced that Vaemond Velaryon was bringing into question the validity of your nephew’s claim to Driftmark. After all Rhaenyra had done a very poor job of hiding her indiscretions.
━━☆━━
On the day of the trial you sit in front of the hearth dreading the affair that was to come. As the hours passed you prepared to become a part of the circus, another spectacle for the Lord and Ladies of the Kingdom to gawk at. Prying eyes were always trying to glimpse at your injury, trying to validate the whispers of gossip they had heard. They were children and you, a parable came to life—a reminder of how cruel the Gods could be. The Cursed Targaryen Princess who could not hatch or claim a dragon. A clear demonstration that even the Targaryens were exempt from their own fire.
Eyes followed you even when not a single body was around. They haunted you mercilessly. The constant feeling never allows you to inhabit your body comfortably. It was the reason many of your dresses had been tailored towards your lesions. Tailored towards the concealment of the damaged  skin of your shoulder and upper arm.
Your dresses always had long sleeves even during the hot summers. The scars that could not be hidden with fabric were hidden by your hair. Never was your hair tied up or styled in extravagant fashion. It was only ever neatly placed out of your face in a simple manner.
With the sound of your chambers doors opening you surface from thought. Aegon steps into view, freshly bathed with his hair combed and wearing an exasperated look.
“The Keep is a mess” he says slumping down next to you. He throws his head back leaning uncomfortably on the divan
“Your sisters arrival warrants pageantry”
“Your sister” he clarifies
You scoff, Rhaenyra had not been your sister in years. She had always tried to marry you off to a Lannister or whatever Lord presented himself as willing. She thought you incompetent and arrogant, endowments she believed were smears of her mothers memory.
She was one to cast judgment, you’re sure Aemma would not have been keen on having illegitimate grandsons. What was the saying of House Arryn… As High as Honor. Bastards were anything but.
“Has she not summoned you?” he looks at you curiously
“She has,” you respond boredly. A servant had entered your chambers the day prior, her head tilted towards the floor as she spoke. Her timidness struck you as odd and instantly you knew she was one of Rhaenyra’s. With a smile you sent her back to her mistress, refusing to tangle yourself in her web.
Aegon smirks, “She is to be Queen and you deny her”
“She pedals falsehoods and you forget she is not Queen yet”
He laughs shifting in his seat, his eyes never leaving you. While you hated being watched, Aegon's gaze was different. He was never trying to pry you open or overzealous with morbid curiosity. He always regarded you with esteemed affection and tenderness.
After a long pause you say, “Is there something on my face?”
His stare doesn’t waiver and he doesn’t respond. It is rare when he forgets how bewitching you could be but when it strikes him, he is at a loss for words—overwhelmed by the realization. His eyes shine with novelty as if it is the first time he has ever laid eyes on you. As if you were the grand encompass of the ocean and he was ready to dive in.
You utter his name and he’s awoken from the spell he had been under.
He stands offering his hand, “We should take our leave now”
“You’ve never been one for punctuality” you tease and he smiles
“No, but I have been informed to behave. To present an image of regalness and grace” a laugh escapes his lips, “As if I am Aemond”
Now you laugh taking his hand, “He is much more regal than you”
Aegon clutches his chest just over his heart, feigning hurt, “You injure me”
With your arms laced together you set off to find Aemond and Helaena. It would have been improper for Aegon to enter without his wife and for you to show up in the arms of a married man—regardless if he was your brother. It was a rule the four of you rarely followed but today was not the day to deter away from customs.
Helaena is the first to spot you in the halls, Aemond is with her. A bright smile displayed on her face as she said your name. You can’t help but admire her, always effortlessly beautiful and far more intelligent than anyone gave her credit for. The picture of what women of your house were to be, beautiful, intelligent, and dragon riders. Everything you were not and though she did not hatch an egg she had claimed Dreamfyre. You should have been mad with envy but no such ill feeling ever came.
You loved her, perhaps no envy was born due to your ever present feeling of having to protect her. Of shielding her from the claws that embedded themselves into Keep. Destroying any sight of light or innocence. Fearing she would be treated like you had been.
You depart from Aegon to greet Helaena with a kiss on the cheek. Moving towards Aemond to do the same, he greets you with a compliment before extending his arm for you to take.
“Always so chivalrous” you say loud enough for Aegon to hear
━━☆━━
The hearing had gone to shit. Your father made a surprising appearance, Vaemond had died, Lucerys was still heir to Driftmark, and everything was as it had been the day before.
You stand beside Aegon and Aemond in the dining hall, the room is lit by candle light as chatter fills the air.
“What a waste of time” Aegon huffs
“Dinner or the hearing?”
“Both. Lucerys is still heir and Daemon suffers no consequences.”
Aemond chimes in, “Their breaths are an insult to everything we stand for”
You nod about to speak when the sound of the wooden door opening announces the arrival of the King. Quickly everyone settles to stand before their seats, seating only after the King is seated.
Your father greets everyone with a hoarse voice. He wears a golden mask on the rotten side of his face and he breathes as though it pains him.
“Prayer before we begin?” The Queen asks and he nods
Instantly your head is bowed, your hands are in your lap, and your eyes are closed. Prayer had become a daily ritual before dinner and it was always led by the Queen.
Before the prayer is over you feel the sensation of eyes on your skin. You think it to be one of your nephews but when the prayer is over you see it is Rhaenyra.
Her eyes are casted with an emotion you cannot read and they soon drop to your shoulder. Eyeing the scars that edged just above your shoulder and the base of your neck.
Feeling the scrutiny of her gaze, your hands find your hair moving it to disrupt her viewing. You had been judged by the vultures of the Seven Kingdoms, you would not allow Rhaenyra to do the same.
The expression on your face is clear, Rhaenyra has gotten to you.
Aegon notices your discomfort, notices how your hair now falls over your chest, and how your eyes are focused on the empty plate before you. Instantly he knows someone is to blame. He first assumes it to be Daemon, his uncle was crude and unceremonious. Having little regard for the people around him, not bothering with niceties.
But when he sees Rhaenyra attentively watching you—casting judgment—he knows it was her. Aegon almost laughs at her hypocrisy, as if she out of anyone had any right to look down upon others.
If his sister wanted something to look at, then he as a gracious brother would oblige in the only way he knew how, by causing a scene. The one thing Aegon was adept at was getting under people's skin, poking and prodding until they burst.
He leans towards Jacaerys spewing his obnoxious rambling. When his nephew bites back Aegon leans back in his chair reveling in the beginning of his antics.
The sound of wood scraping against stone makes you cringe, your father is standing removing his mask displaying the rot that has taken over the left side of his face. Eye’s are averted at the bare sight of the King’s face, but you are accustomed to seeing rotten skin. His teeth can be seen through his cheek, the muscle stretching and contracting as he speaks—it's a morbid sight.
He speaks of reconciliation and forgiveness but you pay him no mind. Besides you, Aemond keeps his eyes forward, Helaena has her eyes on the wooden table, and Aegon’s jaw is tight as he stares at his wine cup.
You spent the next couple of moments with your head in the clouds. Surfacing from thought when Rhaenyra toasts to the Queen, thanking her for looking after the King. You’re surprised when the Queen follows after, her kind words confound you. But you have no time to think them over as Aegon stands from his seat. Stepping between Jacaerys and Baela pouring wine into his cup.
Aemond looks suspiciously towards you but you had no answers to give him. When his eye leaves you the table shakes and Jacaerys stands as Aegon sits. With furrowed brows you look at Aegon who sips on his wine with ease.
The room falls silent and Aegon is reviling in the tension, trying not to smile triumphantly as he uses his cup as a shield.
The tension in the room grows thicker when Aemond stands. He’s looking at Jacaerys with the marksmanship of a hunter who had spotted their prey.
Eyes shift and concern is painted on the faces of almost everyone.
Jacaerys playfully hits his uncle on the shoulder, raising his cup as he smiles at Aemond, “To Prince Aegon and Prince Aemond. We have not seen each other in years, but I have fond memories of our shared youth” Jacaerys pauses looking between his uncles, “And as men, I hope we may yet be friends and allies. To you and your family’s good health, dear uncles”
Across the table you see the snarky smiles of Jacaerys’ betrothed and Lucerys. Their smugness lights a flame in the furnace of your heart. You have half a mind to stand with Aemond, to show that their disrespect would not be tolerated.
“To you as well,” Aegon says
When Aemond sits you lean towards him, “Fucking miscreants”
“Vermin” he responds as Helaena stands.
She smiles excitedly holding her cup of wine, “I would like to toast to Baela and Rhaena. They’ll be married soon” she turns to them, “It isn’t so bad. Mostly he just ignores you, except sometimes when he’s drunk” she smiles
You let out a small laugh at her words. Aegon was rather whinny when drunk, he became a rambling needy mess who desperately wanted attention. And you were always there to give it to him in any shape or form that he needed it in.
Smiling, you raise your cup towards Helaena, “Hear, Hear”. The scarlet wine falls down your throat with ease and your moment of enjoyment is shortly ruined by an approaching Jacaerys.
His eyes are set on Helaena as he extends his hand asking her to dance. To your dismay she takes his hand without hesitation. You’re staring daggers at the Prince, indignation replaces the taste of wine in your mouth. Helaena was far too kind for the world.
Aegon’s eyes catch yours before he looks at Jacaerys dancing with his wife, disbelief and annoyance clear in his face.
In one swift motion you move to stand beside Aegon, “The apple does not fall from the tree” you glare at the hazel haired prince, expecting a response from Aegon but you get none. Confused, you turn towards Aegon only to find him gazing across the table. He’s quiet as he sips from the cup in his hand watching Rhaenyra laugh and talk with their father. Viserys is smiling and coughing through his laughter and it is the most alive he has been in years.
“She arrives and suddenly he can will himself to walk and attend supper” he says only for you to hear
You look up towards the sight of his words—your father and Rhaenyra and you understand. His jab was not said out of anger but out of a feeling of lacking. All the traits and characteristics Rhaenyra had that he did not, the love of their father she had that he did not.
“You’re jealous”
He turns towards you, “Are you not?”
“No”, you lie
“She’s father’s favorite”, he’s looking up at you through his lashes, “I’m the son he killed for and it is not enough”
You avert your gaze, his words struck like an arrow. A part of you had always felt responsible for the birth of Aegon. At fault for the death of your mother, the death of your brother, and the birth of Aegon. If you had not been a butcher, if you had been a boy his burden would be yours.
“You didn’t kill anyone Aegon” you sip wine solemnly, your posture falters, and your head is half hung.
Aegon notices your somber spirit and his eyes soften realizing the error in his words, “I’m sorry, I meant no offense”
“I know”, is all you say returning to your seat
As the night passes you eat and make conversation with Aemond. For most of the night his eye is set on the dancing prince and princess. Occasionally when he looks at you his lips pull upwards in a smile.
After your father retires for the night, servants enter with more food. A cooked pig is laid out before you and before you can think Aemond’s fist hits the table as he stands.
“Final tribute”
All eyes fall on Aemond and the room goes quiet.
“To the health of my nephews. Jace…Luke and Joffrey. Each of them handsome, wise…” he pauses and it is as if all the air in the room has been cast out, “strong”
Your eyes widen in shock as the Queen pleads with Aemond.
“Come let us drain our cups to these three…strong boys”
“I dare you to say that again”
Aemond turns towards Jacaerys, “Why? ‘Twas only a compliment”, they both walk towards one another, “Do you not think yourself strong?”
Lucerys rises from his seat as Jacaerys strikes Aemond, Aegon is not far behind grabbing his nephew and slamming him against the table.
Bolting upwards you grab Helaena pulling her away from the chaos. She grips your hand tightly frightened by the scene.
“Are you alright?” you ask
She nods, “Yes but Aemond” her hand points at the exiting prince. Understanding, you pull Helaena, following Aemond.
Once you’re in the halls you follow the sounds of Aemond’s steps, Helaena runs towards him. She latches onto the side of his arm soothing the riled prince. You’re about to do the same when laughter echoes from beyond the hallway—Aegon.
Grabbing the side of your dresses you hold it up allowing yourself quicker movements. With your approach the shadow of Aegon grows smaller and his laughter grows louder.
You say his name as you grab his arm. When he lays his eyes on you they widen excitedly, your name falls from his lips, “You are a vision. Have I told you that? Come, come, let us retreat into our burrow”. He gives you no time to respond as he throws an arm around you and leads you away.
The burrow was a small unfinished room at the far end of the Keep that had been hidden by a suit of armor; it had been discovered by Aegon when he was ten and two. Immediately he ran to inform you about it, dragging you into the room. It is not large like either of your chambers but it’s spacious enough that both of you can move without bumping into one another. Rugs and sheets hung throughout the floor and walls hiding the decaying walls. Bottles of wine littered the room, both empty and full.
Aegon is drunkenly rambling, as you make sure there is no one around to see you gently push past the suit, “”Twas only a compliment” he mimics Aemond’s voice.
Sitting near the corner of the room you grab a bottle and Aegon moves towards you. He rests his head against your lap spilling wine into your dress, not that you cared. He’s laughing recalling the events of the night.
With a laugh you respond, “Jacaerys’ stance was laughable, he looked like a child throwing a tantrum”
“He is to be King”, his laugh dies as the sentence leaves his lips, “He is to be King”
You both grow quiet, the words weigh heavy over the both of you. The realities of a future that is so close to becoming reality. If you were believed to be a stain on the Targaryen legacy, Rhaenyra's children were desecrations to the Targaryen dynasty.
“Perhaps your mother is right,” you sip from the bottle of wine not fully thinking about the words as you speak, “Perhaps you should be King”
Aegon half laughs, pushing himself into a sitting position, “You speak of treachery”
“Your mother says—”
“My mother is crazed on a notion that we will be slain”
You wish you could believe him, but the image of your sister's husband swinging his sword without mercy does not leave your mind. How easy it would be for Rhaenyra to rid herself of you once she is Queen; there were fates far worse than death.
“Enough talk of foreboding futures. Let us drink ourselves blind”
“Hear! Hear!” you eagerly agree
True to Aegon’s words you both drink until your visions are blurred and the room spins. You both dance and drink carelessly, laughing as though the events of the night had no effect on you. It comes as no surprise when Aegon leans towards you and presses his lip on yours. The kiss is sloppy and full of hunger, your teeth clash and tongues swipe over one another. There’s a desperation in his hands—in the way he holds your face obstructing any movement. In the heat of passion you bite his bottom lip earning a yelp from Aegon.
He pulls away with a smile, “Ow”
Your hand rest on his chest playfully, “Don’t be a child, I didn’t draw blood”
The rest of the night blurs into a giant mirage of jubilation.
━━☆━━
As the sun rose you wake with a yawn, your body aching from the uncomfortable position it had been in all night. Your head had been on Aegon’s lap and his arm had been thrown over your body. Maneuvering from his embrace you press your back firmly on the brick wall, your head throbbing feeling as though it had been repeatedly bashed.
The sun’s rays kiss your cheeks, it's warm and gentle and for a brief moment the world around you falls into obscurity. Nothing else matters beside the sun’s golden touch and the beating of your own heart.
The body besides you grumbles and your moment of serenity shatters as Aegon slowly stirs into consciousness. You’re brought back into the arms of reality.
“Wine,” he says, “More wine”
You don’t waste your breath, instead you make your way to your chambers. Stumbling the first few steps out of the room. Peeking your head out of the door way you make sure there is no one around before exiting.
Walking down the corridors there is an air of urgency within the Keep. There were twice as many Knights as you were accustomed to seeing and servants hurried into the direction of the Great Hall. Regardless you carry on, not bothering to greet any of the people who greeted or called after you.
Approaching the hallway to your chambers you’re unexpectedly faced with the sight of your wooden doors wide open. Stepping closer you see three figures standing at the center of your room; Aemond, Ser Criston, and the Queen.
Puzzlement rests on your brow, what had transpired in the hours you and Aegon had disappeared. As you continue your approach you can see the faces of your visitors all displaying an array of emotions.
“Your Grace,” Ser Criston states as you walk through the threshold, “The Princess”
The Queen turns towards you instantly, wasting no time in embracing you, “Oh sweet girl”
Her embrace wasn’t foreign but the sudden action confuses you further.
“Where have you been? Where is Aegon?” she pulls away but keeps her hands on your arms
You looked towards Aemond trying to find any answers on his face but there were none.
“I’ve just left Aegon. Has something happened?”
“Where is he?” The Queen’s grip on your arm tightens. Desperation is in her eyes and it frightens you, enough that you decided to keep Aegon's whereabouts to yourself for the time being.
“We snuck out of the Keep last night. Upon returning to the castle Aegon left my side”
She turns towards her sworn Knight an unsaid order ushering him quickly from your chambers, Aemond follows suit.
When they’re gone you repeat your question, “Has something happened?”
“Your father is dead, he died in his sleep”
Her voice was grave and her words echo in your mind but you can’t decipher them. It’s as if you have lost the ability to comprehend the common tongue.
A moment passes and you realize what your step mother had said. Silently you wait for grief but it never arrives, there is no sadness in your heart, no invading sorrow. Your father is dead and you shed no tears for his memory.
“I–I need a moment,” you pull away but before you can leave the Queen pulls you towards her. Her hand is under your chin lifting your head just enough to meet her gaze.
Her eyes are round and full of distress, “You know where Aegon is, I beg of you, bring him to me. It was the King’s dying wish. Do not let my father get his hands on him first”
You nod and hurriedly walk out of your chambers, returning to your burrow. The throbbing in your head returns but you try to disregard the discomfort, there were far more pressing matters.
The closer you got towards Aegon the faster your move, breaths of air forcibly escape as enter through the hidden door. You thank the Gods when you see Aegon in the same position he had been when you left. You rush to his side, dropping to your knees shaking him.
“Aegon, Aegon. Wake up, Wake up”
He groans and his speech is slurs. Letting his arms go, he slouches into a half sitting position half laying. His eyes flutter open for a moment and your name falls from his lips.
“‘Tis me,” you cup the cheeks of his face almost painfully. He tries to move away from you but you do not yield, “Aegon, father is dead”
You watch your words register in his mind. He blinks his eyes open and takes a breath, pushing you aside.
“Your jest are not appreciated, my head is murderous”
“It is no jest, the King died in his sleep”
Like you had with the Queen, Aegon takes a moment, his eyes are wide looking through you making sense of your words.
“Father is dead” he repeats. His hand passes through his hair, a look of distress clear on his sunken face
“Yes and your mother and grand feather are searching for you”
“For me? What could they want—”
Realization hits you both like a strong gust of wind, knocking all the air out of the room. The line of succession crosses your mind for the first time. You had thought nothing of the Queen’s words about your fathers dying wish but you understood them now. Of course, the Keep was in disarray because the Hand was trying to sit Aegon on the throne before news of the King’s death spread.
“They mean to crown you”
Crowning Aegon would be treason and all those who participated would be punished with death. The idea does not frighten you as much as the idea of Rhaenyra on the throne. You’d surely be sent away, sold off to be the pretty little Targaryen wife of Lord who’d defile you. And the realm would fall to pieces with a spiteful malicious woman at its helm.
Aegon looks at you horrified, “No. They can’t. I am not heir”
“That does not matter, it was the King’s dying wish to have you succeed him”
“On whose word?”
“Your mother’s”
Aegon scoffs, “She is crazed, fuelled by her hatred for Rhaenyra”
“You may think her crazed, but your mother is a woman of the Gods, she would not lie about a matter of this caliber”
He opens his mouth to speak but closes it quickly. His back is against the wall, he looks disheveled, dirty, and disarranged. Tears swell in his eyes and he swipes them away with his sleeve.
“A dying wish he had years to fulfill”
“I know not the whims of old Kings, but I know regret. It is clear in the words he spoke to your mother that he wanted you on the throne, his first born son”
“What kind of brother would I be to take the throne from Rhaenyra?”
“By the law of Gods and Men the throne is yours. You cannot steal what is rightfully yours”
“I do not want the throne” he argues
“Aegon” you plead
“No! I will not take it,” swiftly his hand grab yours, “Let us climb on board a ship escape to Essos or on dragonback—”
You interrupt his crazed thoughts squeezing his hands, “Listen, Rhaenyra only cares for her own, she has never cared for us. If you let her ascend the throne what will come of your mother? Of Aemond? Of Helaena and your children? ” you pause, “Of me? She sees my existence as blasphemous and yours as opposition. If we leave we are leaving those we love to die. Ascend the throne Aegon, protect us”
Silence encompassed the room, Aegon ran his eyes over your face searching for answers, trying to understand what was being asked of him and if he could undertake such a task. You return his gaze with soft eyes and gentle hands.
He had never thought himself a leader let alone a King. He did not want the pressures and responsibilities of leading an entire land. Aegon would no longer be able to hide under his title of prince, as King. He would have to be the picture of Targaryen greatness and regalness—heavy is the head that wears the crown. He wants to laugh at the notion but his chest is heavy with your words.
“Do you understand?” there’s a desperate edge in your voice and he doesn’t respond, “Aegon, do you understand?”
“Yes,” he nods

Moonlight Sunrise (Part 1)
Minatozaki Sana x reader
Tumblr media
GENRE: angst, fluff, non-idol
TYPE: Short fic (part 1 out of 3 maybe?)
Tumblr media
Slowly making your way down the dusty, unfamiliar roads, you passed several guards waving large indigo-purple flags.
“Only two more days before the labyrinth opens!” they yelled, “Find the Luminite Stone and save the princess from the labyrinth!”
Several men, presumably the best knights and warriors of their kingdoms, crowded around the guards, sizing each other up and boasting about their wins.
As you passed by the crowd, you quickly pulled down your hood, trying to avoid any suspicion. There was a low possibility that anyone recognized you, as you were more of an assassin, always with your face covered. However, you were worried that others from the same profession might be present as well.
It was almost time for the annual labyrinth challenge, where warriors and knights from all over the world traveled to the Minatozaki kingdom, one of the most powerful kingdoms existing, to save the princess and win her hand in marriage. The only child of King Minatozaki had been cursed by one of the eastern witches after they were accidentally omitted from the baby’s birth celebration. It was rumored that she had one of the most angelic faces to grace the earth, but right after her 17th birthday, she disappeared from public view altogether.
A labyrinth of a thousand acres suddenly appeared at the borders of the kingdom, shrouded by dark clouds and vine-covered walls thousands of meters high. In the core of the labyrinth was the Luminite stone, a stone that grants the beholder any wish, and the princess’s soul was also bound to the stone. The princess was said to only be seen in the labyrinth, forever lost in the dark.
King Minatozaki loved his daughter dearly. Although he was reluctant to marry her off to just anyone, he knew that he himself couldn’t manage to retrieve the stone with his daughter's soul from the labyrinth. He wanted his daughter free from the grasp of the labyrinth, so the only way to do so was to hold a competition every year when the gates to the labyrinth opened.
Anyone who managed to make it out alive with the stone would be able to have their wish granted, but at the same time, as they now had the stone, they would be in control of Princess Sana, and the entire kingdom would be inherited. This prompted countless greedy men to try, hoping to have their deepest desires fulfilled and to possess the most beautiful human to grace the earth. However, not once had anyone made it out alive from the past ten competitions, all disappearing mysteriously.
You couldn’t care less about owning an entire nation, let alone marrying a random princess that you had never seen. You were there for the one wish that would be granted by the Luminite Stone. You had someone to save, and that brought you out from the private, invisible life as an assassin.

The sun was setting as you finally reached the golden gates of the castle. Its towering walls, adorned with intricate carvings and banners bearing the kingdom's crest, loomed majestically against the dusky sky. Each night leading up to the competition for the week, the King hosted lavish banquets within the castle's celestial halls.
These gatherings weren't just about food; they were a spectacle, ensuring the competitors were not only well-fed but also immersed in the grandeur of the kingdom. Newcomers were welcomed with open arms, and given the chance to register, mingle, and familiarize themselves with the labyrinth's complexities before the daunting challenge ahead. After all, this was probably the last time they would ever have something to eat before they met their end in the labyrinth.
The banquet hall buzzed with hundreds of men, their voices echoing off the walls. You spotted a few familiar faces from your past travels but made a beeline for the reception, preferring not to draw attention. After all, the labyrinth held not only unknown monsters but human threats as well.
“Name?” the page asked without looking up, his tired face buried in countless scrolls of paper.
“Hwang Y/N,” you muttered, shifting uncomfortably and pulling your hood even higher over your face.
The page paused, his hands trembling slightly as he looked up at you. His eyes widened in shock, and he pushed his glasses closer to his eyes, clearing his throat.
“Hwang Y/N? The NightWalker?”
You nodded, expressionless, as the man cowered in fear.
“I-I didn’t expect you to participate in these events.”
“Is that a problem?”
“N-no… of course not. I guess even assassins have an eye for beauty,” he nervously laughed, expecting you to agree.
You narrowed your eyes at his comment, disbelieving how even those who worked for the princess treated her as an object.
“You should keep your mouth shut before I cut off your tongue,” you whispered in his ear, watching with satisfaction as he fumbled with his pen.
Before you could do anything else, a warm arm wrapped around your shoulders. Instinctively, you reached for your small knife, but the intruder's hand firmly grasped yours, firm yet unthreatening.
“Now now, Hwang. That’s not how you greet an old friend, is it?”
You turned to see Momo, one of your close colleagues before she became head of security for the Minatozaki Kingdom.
“Hirai,” you sighed, pulling her into a hug.
“Fancy seeing you here, stranger. It’s been, what, three years since I last heard from you?”
“Five,” you grinned, feeling more at ease with Momo by your side.
“Yes! Exactly! Ever since you took down the Kim Clan, you just disappeared,” she sighed dramatically, leading you toward a table filled with exotic cuisines. She grabbed a bottle of champagne, taking a sip before passing it to you.
“The hero of the century, gone without a sound, forever remaining a mystery. Face unseen, name forever known. Until now,” she said as if narrating a fairy tale. “She shows the world her face, to save the damsel in distress.”
You rolled your eyes and took a swig of champagne. “I’m not here for the princess or power.”
“Whichever reason you are here for, I won’t pry. I’ll just be cheering you on from the sidelines.” Momo smirked, blowing her bangs out of her eyes. Her respect for your privacy was always something you loved about her.
“Anyway, I have to get back to my duties. Let’s catch up tomorrow before the challenge.” She says loudly, before whispering in your ear, “take the door on the left, and go down two flights of stairs. You’ll find the backdoor to the garden.”
As if nothing happened, she straightened up and breezed away toward a small crowd that was about to break into a fight.
You watched Momo easily tackle a barbaric man down to the floor, without drawing her sword. The crowd of onlookers quickly dispersed as Momo stood up with one of her feet on the man’s stomach, looking challenging for anyone daring to cause more trouble in her land. She caught your eye and grinned, giving you a goofy thumbs-up before changing back to her serious face.
You chuckled, grabbing an apple and the champagne, before slipping to the darker corners of the kingdom undetected. Momo working here was a blessing in disguise, she gave you the chance to get to investigate the labyrinth before the challenge.
.
.
.
.
As you navigated down a murky corridor, the air thick with the scent of age and dampness, you descended what felt like more than two flights of stairs, each step creaking under your weight. At last, you stumbled upon a wooden door, its frame nearly crumbling with decay from years of neglect and exposure to the elements.
Pushing it open with a groan, you were surprised to find yourself greeted by a scene of unexpected beauty. The garden beyond was bathed in the soft glow of moonlight, casting ethereal shadows upon the grounds. Dewdrops reflected the moonlight like diamonds on the grass, their gentle shimmering a stark contrast to the dark, cloudy skies looming over the labyrinth just meters away.
The metal walls that surrounded the garden appeared rusted and weather-beaten, their once sturdy facade now worn and rusted. You couldn't help but wonder if they were enough to keep people out, let alone the rumored monsters said to lurk within the labyrinth's depths.
Taking another swig of your champagne, you wandered around the walls, the sound of your footsteps echoing softly in the still night air. Peering into the swirling mist, you strained your ears and thought you heard faint roars emanating from within. Yet, in the eerie silence of the garden, you couldn't be certain if they were real or merely figments of your imagination, born from the ominous atmosphere that surrounded you.
"Guess I won’t be getting anything out of this tonight," you thought, sighing as you took a seat on one of the forlorn benches near the metal bars.
Taking an apple out of your coat pocket, you polished it on your sleeve. Just as you were about to bite into it, an eerily soft voice echoed from the shadows looming over the corner.
"Can I have some?" A hooded figure emerged, causing you to leap to your feet.
Despite your assassin training, you hadn’t heard her approach.
The figure slowly removed her hood, revealing long, almost white blonde hair that seemed to reflect the moonlight. She was around the same age as you, her face perfectly sculpted but haunted, with dark circles under her eyes.
“I mean no harm,” she raised her ghostly pale arms in surrender.
You narrowed your eyes in suspicion but nodded nonetheless, despite the blood in your body pumping in a fight. It was obvious that this being was not entirely human, but you were in no condition to fight a monstrous being before the competition. The stone was what was important, so you were willing to do anything to avoid conflicts before the challenge.
The girl walked slowly towards you, her posture and grace as if she came from royalty, and sat down on the bench. She looked up at your standing figure expectantly, giving you a soft smile as you finally sat down.
You reached into your coat to pull out a small knife, and the girl immediately flinched. But you simply used the knife to peel the apple, before slicing a piece and putting it onto her hand.
“Thanks,” she muttered, before nibbling on the piece of apple.
You took a good look at the girl. She was thin, too thin, as if she would be blown away by the wind.
“You can call me Luna,” she said finally, still nibbling on the small piece of apple.
You gave a small chuckle at the irony of her name. She did indeed look like the moon goddess herself.
“What’s so funny?”
You shrugged, continuing to slice more pieces of apples for the girl. You saw her glaring at you from the corner of your eye, letting out huffs of frustration when you never said anything.
“Normally when someone introduces themselves to you, you do the same in return,” she said annoyed. Her annoyance made her seem human, and this eased your nerves a bit.
“I’m Hwang Y/N,” your lips twitched, trying not to smile at the way Luna chewed on the apple angrily.
“I like your name,” she said grudgingly, reaching over to grab your champagne without asking.
“What about it?” It wasn’t often that someone didn’t flinch when they heard your name.
“Hwang,” Luna explained as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, before chugging down half the bottle of champagne.
“It means bright, right? Like the sunrise.”
“Yeah, and?” you asked, reaching over to grab the champagne from her hands. “Stop stealing my shit.”
“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the sun,” she muttered. “Wish I could see the sunrise.”
“Why can’t you?” you asked, turning around to look at her.
Luna ignored your question, instead turning her body towards you.
“What are you doing here, Y/N?” she raised her big eyes to look at you, her eyes suddenly glowing a faint crimson in the honey-brown hues.
She was definitely not fully human.
You shivered slightly, both in fear and something else, attraction. No, it must be because you felt sorry for her. The poor girl seemed to not have access to much food.
“Thought I could get some clues here before the challenge,” you said honestly.
“Are you looking to win the princess over, too?” she asked with a hint of bitterness in her tone. “To control her as if she was a puppet?”
“No.”
“Then why?”
You hesitated, knowing it wasn’t smart to share anything with strangers, you knew that. But there was something about this girl that you couldn’t seem to put a finger on, it was as if her aura could power all your feelings. You couldn’t do anything but tell her the truth. It was as if she casted a spell on you, her glowing eyes controlling every move.
“I need that stone. I need to get that wish so that I can save my sister.”
Luna’s eyes softened slightly, the glowing red fading and turning back to the original brown color. You felt your body instantly relax.
“What’s wrong with her?”
“She’s sick. She’s been sick for a few months and there’s nothing the doctors can do. Time is running out so I have to hurry.”
The image of your little sister lying in bed, her once lively face now sunken and yellow, her eyes devoid of their usual spark, sends a shiver down your spine. The very thought grips your heart. It was her condition that drove you to show your true identity and take part in this dumb challenge, revealing yourself to the public eye, and relinquishing your assassin status. Now that everyone knew what you looked like, it was inevitable that a bounty would be put on your head.
“I’m sorry,” Luna said, her voice gentle.
Her hand raised slightly as if she wanted to hold yours in comfort but thought better of it.
You shook your head and looked down at your knees. You couldn’t let anyone sense your weakness.
You heard Luna get up from you, this time finally being able to hear her movements.
“I hope you win, Y/N,” she said, her voice soothing, passing warmth throughout your body, instantly making you feel better.
She put a small black object in your lap, a compass.
You looked up and found her walking backward towards the metal walls, a smile playing on her lips. She looked younger when she smiled, innocent even.
"Take the path on the far right, then follow my compass," she instructed, her voice echoing faintly as she effortlessly passed through the metal bars and vanished into the dark mist.
"I'll lead you the way."
You shivered, utterly enchanted and spooked by that humanlike being.
After a moment, you finally shifted your attention to the compass in your hands. It was an exquisite piece, adorned with golden rings and silver arrows.
You flipped to the back of the compass, and there, engraved in elegant wording:
Minatozaki Sana

CHAPTER THREE: The Chronicles of Celebrity
user4459: "'F1 Driver Lewis Hamilton spotted again with Model Jessy Hart in Paris' - honestly, i'm surprised that he kept her around for this long. the matching fits is cute! lord knows how much lewis loves to hop to different models. is this a sign that our fave workaholic found someone to love?"
MsNikkiLuv: "'RE: F1 Driver Lewis Hamilton spotted again with Model Jessy Hart in Paris' - I don't think so. I mean, yes she was at Monaco, Barcelona, and Montreal Grand Prix (and now Paris) but I don't think this is a 'forever' thing. He made it quite clear that he doesn't want a relationship now and that he's focusing on F1. Not to mention, in his Masterclass, he said that he found it difficult to accept love and trust. I think it's just another FWB. She's gorgeous though and I think that she's really nice. I didn't see any reports saying that she's a bitch or anything."
ManyMenSimp1644: "'RE: F1 Driver Lewis Hamilton spotted again with Model Jessy Hart in Paris' - let's be forreal, y'all. she's with him for the clout and the money/gifts just like all the other women. that man ain't looking for love, he just wants his dick wet. he's doing this out of convenience and to have a bed warmer. maybe she's just a constant bed warmer lol".
luvroflewishamilton435: "'RE: F1 Driver Lewis Hamilton spotted again with Model Jessy Hart in Paris' - whatever they are, they are good together. @MsNikkiLuv same. i didn't hear anything bad about her at all. she dated many different men (and some even richer than lewis). but can we just be happy that she's of age?? like, lewis is finally with someone closer to him! i believe that she's 30 and plus, i love that she wears heels around him. lewis is so confident in being a short king and i'm here for it, especially with that third leg of his."
The comments on Lipstick Alley were a mix of rumor, suspicion, and sheer gossip. They were a tornado of wild speculations about the relationship between Jessy and Lewis, whirling around in a never-ending cycle of assumptions and baseless accusations. Some users were outright hostile, deeming her unfit to be with Lewis, as if they'd ever get the chance of being with him themselves. Others tried to paint a picture of compatibility and reason:
maytheoddsbeinurfavr:"'RE: F1 Driver Lewis Hamilton spotted again with Model Jessy Hart in Paris' - let's not forget that they're both grown adults and can make their own decisions. It's not our place to judge their relationship based on age or wealth. They seem happy together, and that's all that matters. @luvroflewishamilton435 Lewis does seem to be happier in being with someone closer to his age. And Jessy's choice to wear high heels around him shows her confidence."
Their opinions of her were inconsequential; nothing could stop her from getting this bag. But despite her tough exterior, Jessy was still human and had insecurities like everyone else. While she welcomed the kind comments, the negative ones also stung a bit.
While she had a deep admiration for the game, she also recognized its negative consequences, especially when she found herself in the company of well-known celebrities.
After spending an extended period with Lewis, she realized that she needed some time alone to gather her thoughts and recharge. As expected, Lewis didn't take it too well and exhibited his sassy behavior once again, much to her disapproval.
This is why we stay clear of lightskin men, she thought as she read yet another one of his text messages.
As with the ones before it, it was a trap to lure her in: a set of pictures showing him shirtless in questionable poses and his constant musings about her attending his upcoming races in Austria and England. Despite his attempts to woo her, Jessy had already made up her mind to attend, especially after receiving lavish gifts from him - a Cartier watch and a mini Kelly bag from Hermes, which she got while they were in Paris. She kept the latter displayed in her closet - it was too flashy to wear out in public. But, as always, she enjoyed playing with his feelings. Some might call it cruel, but Jessy knew from experience that keeping men on their toes never led her astray.
Being seen with Lewis had its perks for Jessy. She was now invited to exclusive parties and events that she wouldn't have received invitations for before, all because of his status as a Formula One driver. It was amusing to watch people fawn over him and try to get a photo or even just a glimpse of the famous racer. However, what truly delighted her was the reaction of these individuals when they saw her by his side.
Even though she had no desire to settle down with anyone, especially not someone like Lewis Hamilton, who seemed to constantly crave attention and validation, not to mention the drama that came with being in a high-profile relationship, Jessy enjoyed the exposure it brought for herself and her brand. Don't get her wrong - Lewis was slowly becoming a good friend in addition to being a great lover, but he also had his moments. He wasn't necessarily a red flag, but definitely somewhere between yellow and orange.
"TiTi Jess, TiTi Jess!" two little voices called out in unison, breaking Jessy's daydream and bringing her back to reality.
It was a perfect day in Miami, with clear blue skies and the sun shining brightly overhead - the ideal day for a baby shower.
Jessy tucked her phone into her purse and bent down to meet the gaze of the twin four-year-olds who were running towards her.
"Oof," she pretended to groan as they crashed into her arms, giggling. "Looks like someone really missed me."
"Yeah, TiTi," said Anais, one of her nieces, with an attitude that was well beyond her years. She let go of Jessy for a second to give her a stern look. "Why were you gone for so long? Mommy said you got a new boyfriend."
Jessy rolled her eyes internally; it was just like her younger sister to spread gossip about her whereabouts, especially to her young nieces.
"Yeah," chimed in Amalia, Anais' fraternal twin. Unlike her sister, Amalia was quiet and reserved while Anais was quite the handful.
Jessy opted not to continue the conversation with the twins and instead shifted the topic to their appearance. As always, the girls were perfectly styled with coordinated outfits and flawless hair. They both wore pink dresses and had their curly hair braided into puffs. Jenesis, her sister, had requested that guests dress in either blue or pink depending on their guess for the baby's gender, so it was no surprise that most of the female attendees were dressed in pink like Jessy's nieces who were clearly 'team girl'.
Jessy beamed at them. "You both adorable! Can you give TiTi a twirl?"
The girls eagerly obliged, twirling around to show off their dresses. Jessy couldn't help but smile at how much joy they brought her. Whenever she felt overwhelmed with work or life in general, spending time with her nieces always helped put things into perspective. They were a reminder of what truly mattered in life - family.
"Okay girls, let's go play some games," Jessy said, standing up and taking each of their hands in hers.
As they walked towards the backyard where the baby shower was being held, Jessy couldn't help but notice all the decorations. Jenesis had truly outdone herself with the rustic, woodland theme for the baby shower. Pinecones and tree branches could be seen adorning every surface, creating a cozy and natural atmosphere. The color scheme consisted of rich greens and browns, with pops of pink and blue for an added touch of excitement. The dessert table boasted a towering cake covered in fondant bears, while hanging above was a banner declaring "We Can Bearly Wait!" in whimsical letters.
Her nieces abandoned her upon arriving, immediately shifting their focus from their aunt to a group of children engaging in party games. Jessy spotted Jenesis talking to some guests and waved at her sister from afar. Jenesis smiled back and excused herself to come over to them.
"Hey sis," Jenesis said as she hugged Jessy.
"You've outdone yourself with this party," Jessy replied, admiring the decorations.
Jenesis smiled, gently rubbing her swollen belly. "This is my third and final baby, so I wanted to make it special," she explained.
"Final one?" Jessy snorted with amusement. "Did you ask DeVon for his input?"
Jenesis shrugged. "I don't need his input. He's probably hoping for a boy, but this baby will be our last one. No more little McClures running around. And speaking of new things, how's your new boo? I see you off jetsetting from one place to the next."
Jessy laughed at her sister's teasing. "He's not my 'boo'. We're just friends," she replied.
Jenesis raised an eyebrow at her. "Just friends? That's not what it looked like when I saw those pictures in Monaco and Barcelona. Y'all look mighty friendly. He's fine though, even with his shortness. Does he sound posh?" Jenesis playfully put on a fake British accent for emphasis.
Jessy rolled her eyes at her sister's teasing. "He's not posh, he's just well-spoken," she replied with a smile. "And what he lacks in height, he makes up for in other places."
"Mmhmm, I'm starting to see the appeal," Jenesis continued. "I'mma let you be great though. Lewis may be fine and all, but he a bit too short for my liking."
Jessy casually shrugged her shoulders. Lewis wasn't as tall as the type of men she typically went for, but she didn't let it bother her. Her sister's baby daddy and longtime boyfriend was a towering 6'7, which was ideal for his role as a point guard for the Miami Heat.
At that moment, DeVon strolled over to where they were standing, his arm affectionately draped around Jenesis' shoulders.
"Well well, look who finally decided to grace us with her presence," he teased Jessy with a sly smirk.
"Hi DeVon," Jessy responded with mild irritation. She and DeVon had never been the best of friends, but they maintained a civil relationship despite their differences.
"You out here livin' it up with that short, British nigga, huh?" he said. "I'm surprised that you're here."
"I wouldn't miss my favorite sister's baby shower, DeVon," retorted. "Plus, we not even dating. We're cool, that's it."
"Cool?" DeVon scoffed, but decided to not broach further on the topic. For Jessy, DeVon was on thin ice as it was, especially since he had yet to make an honest woman out of her sister after being together for nearly eight years.
Jessy stared at the man intently as she crossed her arms over her chest. "I said what I said."
DeVon raised his hands in mock surrender. "Alright, alright, no need to get feisty," he joked. "I swear y'all get that from y'all's mama. That fiery Colombian side definitely runs in the family."
Jenesis and Jessy exchanged eye rolls at DeVon's antics. On their mother's side, they were a quarter Colombian, but they didn't know much about that side of their family. Their mother never talked much about Abuela Sofia's relatives in Bogota for some reason.
DeVon prodded, "So, are you single?"
Jessy quipped back, "As single as a one-dollar bill." Jenesis giggled at her response.
DeVon then announced, "I might have someone for you." Jessy let out an exasperated sigh.
"Who's asking?" she questioned.
"It's my teammate," DeVon proudly revealed. "You know Xavier, right?" Jessy nodded, trying to recall who he was. She vaguely remembered him from past get-togethers with DeVon and Jenesis. She knew he was good-looking, but beyond that, she didn't remember much about him. "So here's the plan: I'll bring him over here -"
"No, please don't do that," interrupted Jessy firmly. The thought of being set up by DeVon made her cringe. As soon as the words left her mouth, Jessy regretted speaking them. She knew DeVon would take it as a challenge and make it his mission to set her up with someone, whether she liked it or not.
"Too late," declared DeVon with a sly smile. "I'll be right back."
With that, he walked off in search of Xavier. Jessy groaned inwardly, knowing that she couldn't escape this setup now.
A few minutes later, DeVon returned with Xavier trailing behind him. He was just as handsome as Jessy remembered - tall and muscular with mahogany skin and a short crop of black hair styled in a low fade. But his serious expression put her on edge.
"Hey Jessy," greeted Xavier in his deep timbre with a small nod of his head.
"Hey," responded Jessy uncertainly. "It's been a while since I've seen you."
"Yeah, I've been busy with the team and everything," explained Xavier. "But I always see your photos on social media."
Jessy nodded awkwardly, not sure what else to say. She felt like she was being interviewed for a potential job instead of casually talking to someone at a baby shower.
"Well...I'll leave you two to catch up." DeVon flashed a mischievous grin before excusing himself and pulling Jenesis away, leaving the two of them to catch up on their own.
Jessy glared at him as he disappeared into the crowd before turning back to Xavier with an apologetic smile. "Sorry about that."
"It's all good," replied Xavier easily. His tense expression had relaxed slightly now that DeVon was gone.
"So how have you been?" asked Jessy politely.
"Good, good," answered Xavier with a small smile. "Just trying to focus on my game and make it to the playoffs this upcoming season."
Jessy smiled, not knowing much about basketball but trying to show interest. "That's awesome. I saw some of your highlights on TV and you were killing it."
Xavier chuckled, his smile growing wider. "Thanks, I appreciate it. But enough about me, how have you been? I see you've been traveling a lot."
"Yeah," agreed Jessy with a small shrug. "I love exploring new places. It's been fun."
"That's really cool," commented Xavier sincerely.
The conversation flowed smoothly between them as they caught up on each other's lives. Jessy was surprised at how easy it was to talk to Xavier despite her initial nerves. He was genuinely interested in what she had to say and shared some interesting stories about his training and games.
Eventually, they got pulled away from their conversation and walked over to the other attendees to enjoy the baby shower. The rest of the baby shower went by in a blur for Jessy as she mingled with the other guests and played games. As the party started to wind down, Xavier approached Jessy and asked if he could walk her out to her car. Jessy smiled at his kind offer and happily accepted, looking forward to spending more time with him.
Xavier turned to Jessy with a small smile. "I had a really great time catching up with you today."
"Me too," replied Jessy with a shy smile.
"Maybe we can do it again sometime?" suggested Xavier hesitantly.
Jessy's heart skipped a beat at his invitation. "I would like that," she said softly.
Xavier grinned, relieved at her answer. "Great. How about we grab lunch next week?"
Jessy's heart dropped as she remembered her busy schedule for the next few weeks. "I would love to, but I'm afraid I won't be able to make it for lunch next week."
Xavier's face fell momentarily, but he quickly recovered with a smile. "No worries, how about we exchange numbers and we can keep in touch through texts?"
Jessy felt relieved and grateful for his understanding. "That would be great."
They exchanged numbers before saying goodbye, both secretly hoping for another chance to see each other soon. As Jessy drove home, she couldn't help but feel excited about getting to know Xavier more through their conversations.

The sun was shining brightly in the sky as people from all over the world flooded into the track, each one eager to witness the qualifying day and possibly get a glimpse of their favorite drivers. Jessy arrived a day late, much to Lewis' chagrin. To say that he had a bit of an attitude was an understatement. Jessy could care less, honestly, and decided to have a thorough conversation with him about boundaries and not being at his beck and call.
Despite his reputation for constantly being seen with different women, Jessy quickly learned that Lewis could be quite particular and almost possessive. While she understood their arrangement as a casual and mutually beneficial relationship with no expectations of exclusivity, Lewis often forgot this and ended up in a confusing gray area.
She found Lewis in his team's pit area, surrounded by his mechanics and engineers who were busy preparing his car for the race. He looked up when he saw Jessy approaching and greeted her with a half-hearted smile.
"Hey," he said curtly. "Glad you could finally make it."
Jessy rolled her eyes internally but kept a polite smile on her face. "Sorry for being late, I had some things to take care of."
He raised an eyebrow at her response. "Things? What things?"
"Personal matters," she stated firmly, not wanting to disclose any more information.
Lewis shrugged, clearly not interested in her explanation. "Whatever. Qualy is 'bout to start so I need to stay focused. I'll hit you up later."
Jessy watched as Lewis walked away, feeling a mix of annoyance and disappointment.
What a fuckin' dickhead, she thought as she made her way further inside the garage.
Jessy's frustration began to escalate, but her thoughts shifted to Xavier and their potential plans. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt for agreeing to meet with him, knowing Lewis wouldn't be too happy about it if he'd ever found out. However, she reminded herself that she couldn't constantly put her life on hold just because he wanted her to always be available.
Going off-script was never part of the plan, and it never will be. Maybe it was the constant media attention getting under his skin, or maybe he was simply deluding himself, but Lewis needed to see the truth and understand that he was nothing more than a temporary obsession. He had been using her as much as she had been using him.
The roar of the engines and the smell of gasoline filled the air as the cars lined up on the track for qualifying. Jessy found a spot near Bono and the huge television, her eyes fixed on Lewis' car as he sped past in a blur of colors. Despite her irritation with him, she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride watching him race. It was clear that he was in his element, his focus solely on the track and beating his competitors.
Suddenly, Jessy's phone buzzed, pulling her out of her focus on Lewis. It was a text from Xavier:
Xavier: Just waiting until I see your gorgeous face again. When do you want to hang out?
A smile spread across Jessy's face as she quickly replied:
Jessy: Soon...
She tucked her phone back into her purse and turned her attention back to the race. As the qualifying session came to an end and Lewis secured a position in the top five on the starting grid, Jessy made her way back to the front to wait for him. He emerged from the car, sweating and slightly disappointed for not claiming pole position. But when he laid eyes on Jessy, his expression softened.
A rush of memories flooded his mind, and he realized that he was repeating mistakes and undoing all the progress he had made in therapy. Despite their unconventional relationship, Jessy was always there for him, offering support and encouragement. Yet here he was, pushing her away and reverting to the same patterns he had with Nicole - something he swore never to do again. He despised himself for being such a dick, especially towards women. No amount of insecurities should ever justify treating someone poorly.
"Hey," Lewis said as he approached her, finally seeming more relaxed now that qualifying was over. "Sorry for being an arse earlier."
"It's okay," Jessy replied with a shrug. "I understand you have a race to focus on."
Lewis could easily read Jessy's body language, with her arms crossed and an unreadable expression on her face. He knew there was still tension between them, but he was confident he could turn things around.
"Come here," he beckoned softly, opening his arms for a hug. Jessy scoffed and rolled her eyes, as stubborn as ever. But Lewis liked that about her; it made her even more attractive. "Jessy, I don't want to beg for a hug."
"And if I want you to?" she countered with a mischievous smile.
"You're driving me crazy, woman," he sighed. After a few moments of silence, Lewis spoke up again. "Please, can I have a hug?"
Jessy nodded and moved into his embrace. She breathed in the familiar scent of smoke and musk that always seemed to draw her in. Lewis' arms wrapped comfortably around her, settling just inches from her ass. Despite their current issues, she allowed herself to relax in his arms for a moment.
"You owe me, Hamilton," she whispered lowly in his ear, causing him to chuckle deeply.
"Anything you want, sweetheart."
"Good answer."
The Austrian Grand Prix had not been kind to Lewis. After starting from the top five, he ended up finishing in eighth place. As a result, his mood soured for the remainder of the race weekend. He was on edge and moody, which was evident in how he treated Jessy during their sexual encounter. He was rough with her, but not enough to completely upset her, although she couldn't help but remember how hard he pulled her hair from behind and the marks left on her ass.
Lewis needed an outlet for all the pent-up emotions from the past weekend and sex was his vice. They were similar in this aspect of using physical intimacy as a form of therapy for their mental state. However, how long could this temporary solution sustain them?
Tumblr media
The races seemed to blur together for Lewis and Jessy as one weekend ended and another began. Silverstone held a special significance for Lewis, being his home race. The pressure to perform well in front of his home crowd was always immense, but this year it felt even more intense. The media attention was overwhelming, causing chaos wherever they went. This year's Silverstone event was the most crowded with journalists and fans yet, and while she didn't want to take credit for it, it was hard to ignore the correlation with her relationship with Lewis. Everywhere she went, cameras and reporters followed, making her feel like she had lost any sense of privacy she once had.
But instead of letting it get to her, Jessy saw an opportunity to use the situation to her advantage. Her publicist assured her that if she played her cards right, this could be a major success for her swimwear brand, Silver Doe. Unlike Lewis' previous "arm candy," Jessy had a strategic mind and knew how to navigate the game of fame.
Her main focus during the Silverstone weekend was promoting Silver Doe and securing the bag. Thanks to her relationship with Lewis, the brand received more attention, but it also came with its own set of challenges. Trying to balance her brand, dealing with Lewis and Xavier, and handling intrusive media had taken a toll on Jessy. But in moments like these, she found comfort in Lewis' arms and their sexual compatibility, which was all she desired at that moment. She prided herself on hiding her emotions, a necessary skill for someone in her line of work, but couldn't deny the pleasure she felt with Lewis.
Gone were her concerns about Silver Doe's success, the media's intrusion, and her overbearing mother. Even thoughts of Xavier were pushed to the back of her mind. In that moment, all she could focus on was Lewis and the contentment he brought her. She knew it was only a temporary escape from her troubles, but she allowed herself to bask in the happiness of being with him without any external distractions or responsibilities pulling them apart.
Their bodies moved in perfect harmony, lost in the euphoria of their connection. Their hearts raced in tune with each other, their breaths synchronizing into a soft, steady rhythm. The room was still filled with the scent of their lovemaking, a mix of sweat and desperation, mingling with the comforting aroma of their skin. It was a scent that was as unique to them as their fingerprints, a scent that was intoxicating, alluring, and completely irresistible.
Jessy couldn't help but marvel at the way Lewis's body felt against hers, tracing the contours of his muscles as he slept. She sat up in the bed, pulling the sheets up to cover her naked form. Her eyes drifted over to Lewis, still peacefully sleeping next to her. For a moment, she allowed herself to just watch him without any distractions or worries. He looked so peaceful when he slept, free from the stresses of their complicated lives.
Before long, Lewis stirred awake.
"Hey," she whispered as he slowly opened his eyes.
"Hey," he replied with a sleepy smile.
"I hate to do this, but I need to handle some stuff for my swimwear," Jessy said apologetically.
Lewis groaned and rolled over onto his back, stretching out his arms above his head. Jessy couldn't help but admire the view.
"What time is it anyway?" Lewis asked as he rubbed his eyes.
"It's almost 9:00," Jessy replied, checking her phone for confirmation.
"Wow," Lewis exclaimed as he sat up in bed. "I must have really worn your arse out last night."
Jessy playfully rolled her eyes at his smug tone. "I have a lot to do today, so I should probably get started on answering these emails."
"Can't you just stay a little longer?" Lewis pouted, pulling her back into bed.
"I wish I could, but I have a Zoom meeting with my team in an hour and then I have to approve photos from last week's shoot," Jessy explained, trying to free herself from his grasp.
Lewis' hold tightened. "You look stressed, Jessy, are you sure I can't help? One little quickie won't hurt."
"A quickie?" scoffed Jessy. "I don't think you can be quick."
"I just need one more fix before I start heading off to interviews."
Jessy could feel the stress gnawing at him and she knew that he needed additional release before facing the media frenzy of press day at Silverstone.
"Fine," she conceded, leaning over to plant a kiss on his lips.
Lewis felt a wave of relief wash over him as he allowed himself to succumb to the comforting warmth of Jessy's body once again. Her touch was like magic, soothing all of his anxieties and filling his mind with only one thought: her.
As they began to kiss, their passion grew even more intense than before. It was as if they were two magnets, inexorably drawn to each other, their energies fusing in a way that was both exhilarating and breathtaking.
The knock at the door startled both Lewis and Jessy out of their passionate embrace. They reluctantly pulled away from each other, their bodies still buzzing with the remnants of desire.
"Who could that be?" Jessy asked.
"I'll go check," Lewis said. He lets out a sigh as he gets up from the bed, quickly wrapping a towel around his body before answering it. When he opens the door, he sees Kristin, his trainer, standing there with his beloved bulldog Roscoe cradled in her arms.
"Looks like you're here early," he exclaims happily, moving to the side to let Roscoe enter the motorhome.
"I know," Kristin responds with a smile. "Traffic wasn't too bad today. I have a call to handle, but I wanted to drop off Roscoe first. Let me know if you guys need anything else."
"Thanks," Lewis replies, waving goodbye as she leaves. Closing the door behind him, he turns to Roscoe, squatting down to give him some love and attention. "Hey there old boy, how are you doing? You're looking good, huh? Yeah."
Roscoe's tail wagged eagerly as Lewis stroked his fur, overjoyed to have his human companion back. He nuzzled against Lewis' hand, expressing his love and excitement. Jessy entered the room and observed with interest as Lewis played with his beloved dog. Eventually, he looked up and their eyes met, a fond smile stretching across Lewis' face as he took in Jessy's presence.
"Come over so I can introduce you," said Lewis and Jessy sauntered over slowly. She grew up with dogs at home, but she didn't want to make any sudden movements that may scare him.
"Roscoe, this is Jessy, my friend," Lewis introduces the two. "She'll be with us during Silverstone."
"Hello, Roscoe," she greets, her eyes lit up with warmth. The dog barked at her in response, his tail continuing to wag rapidly.
Lewis chuckled at the interaction between them. "Looks like he already likes you," he said.
Jessy reached out to pet Roscoe's head gently and he nuzzled her hand affectionately. "He's so sweet," she remarked, scratching behind his ear.
"Yeah," replied Lewis fondly. "He's been my companion through everything - the ups and downs of racing, traveling around the world...he's always there for me."
"I'm glad I have the chance to meet him," Jessy said with a smile.
"I figured you would," Lewis replied. "You'll definitely see him a lot while traveling with me."
"You say that, but I never gave you a definite answer," Jessy reminded him.
Lewis grinned, a spark of mischief in his eyes. "We'll see."
Tumblr media
Not the result that they wanted coming out of Silverstone with P3, but Lewis was nonetheless happy to get a podium and to see his family supporting him. For this, Jessy steered clear of bumping into Lewis' family, but she was also proud of his accomplishment. He had a small break before the next set of races and Lewis decided to take advantage of their brief respite and whisked Jessy away to the beautiful, sun-soaked shores of Ibiza. It was a place that Lewis cherished, having spent many a night on the island partying with friends, enjoying the balmy nights, and the vibrant energy that the island had to offer.
The yacht slowly cruised along the Mediterranean Sea, the sun shining bright in the cloudless sky. Jessy stood at the edge of the boat, her hair whipping around her face as she took in the breathtaking scenery. Everywhere she looked, there was liveliness and vitality: from the crashing waves to the rustling palm trees, and even the distant music that seemed to pulse with life itself.
"This is amazing," she exclaimed to Lewis as he joined her at the railing.
"I'm glad you like it," he replied with a smile. "I love coming here whenever I have some time off."
"It's so peaceful," Jessy mused, taking a deep breath of the salty air.
"Until we get back on track next week," Lewis added with a wink.
Jessy laughed, enjoying his playful demeanor. It was refreshing to see this side of him, away from the intense racing atmosphere.
As they sailed along, they were joined by director Baz Luhrmann and his wife Catherine Martin, as well as actress Eiza Gonzalez. Jessy couldn't help but feel starstruck; she had always been a fan of Luhrmann's films and she also recognized Gonzalez from her role in a popular TV series.
"Welcome aboard!" greeted Luhrmann, "Lewis has told me so much about you."
The director's smile was like a ray of sunshine, warm and inviting as he welcomed them onto his yacht.
"It's great to finally meet you all," Jessy replied.
"We're just glad Lewis finally brought someone interesting along with him," joked Gonzalez.
Lewis scoffed mockingly. "Come on now, that's not true," he countered. "I've brought plenty of interesting people to your attention before."
The day was spent lounging on the deck, enjoying each other's company, and basking in the warm sun. Wearing her swimsuit, Jessy and the group would occasionally take a plunge into the crystal-clear water to enjoy the refreshing ocean. Dinner was an extravagant affair, with delicious food and drinks prepared by a private chef. Luhrmann discussed his upcoming projects while Gonzalez shared anecdotes from her recent film shoot. Jessy took it all in, feeling grateful to be surrounded by such talented individuals.
The night continued with more merriment and lively conversations. As midnight approached, Jessy could barely keep her eyes open.
"What a fantastic day," she said with a yawn.
"I couldn't agree more," replied Baz, "but we should probably turn in for the night."
With reluctant goodbyes, the group dispersed and Jessy and Lewis made their way back to their cabin on the yacht, laughing and reminiscing about the day's adventures. It had been a long but magical day, filled with new experiences and unforgettable moments. As they entered their designated space, they both shed their clothing and headed to the en suite to shower off the night's festivities.
The warm water cascaded down Jessy's body as she stood under the shower head, her mind still buzzing with the events of the day. She could hardly believe that she had spent the day sailing on a luxurious yacht with some of Hollywood's biggest names. It was a dream come true.
As Lewis joined her in the shower, their bodies pressed against each other. His hands immediately found her breasts, rolling her nipples between his thumb and forefinger until it hardened into tightened buds. He began to explore further down her body, his fingers tracing circles on her stomach before moving lower. She gasped as he brushed against her most intimate area, sending shivers through her body.
"Fuck, Jessy," Lewis whispered huskily in her ear, "you have no idea how bad I want you right now."
His words sent a jolt of electricity through Jessy's body, heightening the sensations she was feeling. She turned to face him, their eyes locking in an intense gaze as they both gave into their desires.
Their lips met in a fiery kiss as Lewis pushed her against the shower wall. Jessy could feel Lewis growing harder against her, the evidence of his arousal pressing against her stomach. She ran her hands down his back, feeling every ripple of muscle beneath his skin. Without breaking their kiss, he reached down to lift her leg and wrapped it around his waist, allowing him better access to her.
With a moan, Jessy broke the kiss and leaned back against the shower wall, giving Lewis full control. He took advantage of the position and began to explore every inch of her body with his mouth, trailing hot kisses from her neck down to her breasts.
Her breathing quickened as he took one hardened nipple into his mouth. Jessy felt like she was on fire, every touch sending waves of pleasure through her body. She couldn't remember ever feeling this consumed by desire before.
Lewis continued his exploration, mapping out every curve and dip of Jessy's body with his lips and tongue. His hands roamed freely, gripping her hips and pulling her closer to him. He kissed her passionately as he positioned himself between her legs, teasingly rubbing himself against her entrance. Jessy whimpered in frustration, wanting him inside of her so badly.
"Please," she begged.
"Please what, baby? Tell Sir what you want."
"Please fuck me, Sir."
Without another word, Lewis entered her in one swift motion, filling her completely. They both moaned at the sensation, losing themselves in each other, consumed by a desire that had been simmering all day. Every nerve in her body was alive, sending waves of pleasure through her as Lewis thrust into her with an intensity that took her breath away.
Jessy gasped as Lewis hit a particularly sensitive spot inside of her, causing a surge of pleasure to course through her body. She clung to him tightly, wrapping her legs around his waist and digging her nails into his back. Their moans and cries filled the steamy shower as they moved together in perfect rhythm.
Every thrust sent waves of pleasure through her body, driving her closer and closer to the edge. She could feel herself getting close, her walls tightening around him as she climbed higher towards ecstasy.
Sensing her impending release, Lewis slowed his pace slightly, wanting to prolong their moment of intimacy. He leaned down to capture her lips in a searing kiss, deepening the connection between them.
"Fuck, baby, just like that," she moaned into his mouth as he gripped her hips tightly and gave her long, shallow thrusts.
Jessy's legs began to shake as she drew closer to the edge. Sensing her impending release, Lewis stopped his movements and pulled out of her completely.
"What are you doing?" Jessy pouted, feeling frustrated at being denied her release.
"Patience, baby," Lewis said with a smirk as he turned off the shower and stepped out of the stall. He grabbed a towel and quickly dried himself off before wrapping it around his waist.
Jessy watched him with hungry eyes as he walked over to the sink and grabbed a small bottle of oil from the cabinet. He poured some onto his hands and rubbed them together before turning back to face her.
He motioned for Jessy to step out of the shower and she complied eagerly. As soon as she was standing next to him, Lewis pushed her up against the bathroom counter and spread her legs apart with one hand while using the other to apply oil to her sensitive folds.
Jessy gasped at the sensation, but was too lost in pleasure to complain. She gripped onto the counter for support as Lewis massaged her clit with skilled fingers while gently rubbing oil over her entrance.
"Oh god," she moaned as she felt herself getting closer and closer to orgasm once again.
Just before she could reach her peak, Lewis pulled his hand away causing Jessy to groan in frustration.
"Not yet," he said softly as he lifted one finger coated in oil up to Jessy's lips. "Clean me."
Jessy eagerly sucked on his finger, tasting herself mixed with the sweet oil. She could feel her arousal growing even more as Lewis watched her with dark, hungry eyes. "Turn around," he commanded, his voice low and husky.
Jessy eagerly complied, bracing herself against the counter as she felt him press his body against hers from behind. She could feel his hard length pressing against her lower back.
He trailed kisses down her neck and back.
"God, you're so beautiful," he whispered against her ear before biting down on her lobe gently.
Jessy moaned loudly at the feeling, arching her back and grinding herself against him. She wanted him inside of her again, to feel that delicious tension building between them once more.
But Lewis had other plans. He continued to tease and torment her with soft touches and hot kisses until Jessy was practically begging for release.
Finally, unable to resist any longer, Lewis grabbed onto Jessy's hips and pulled them back towards him as he thrust into her from behind. Jessy cried out in pleasure as she felt him fill her completely once again.
Their movements were frantic and desperate now as they both reached towards their peak. Jessy gripped onto the edge of the counter for support as Lewis pounded into her with increasing intensity. Feeling himself getting closer to the edge as well, Lewis reached around Jessy's body and began rubbing circles over her clit with his thumb. The added stimulation sent Jessy over the edge and she screamed out his name. They both came together in a powerful release that left them both breathless and spent.
Lewis leaned his forehead against Jessy's shoulder as they both tried to catch their breaths. After a few moments, he turned Jessy around to face him and pulled her into a deep kiss.
They stood there for what felt like hours, just holding each other close in the steamy bathroom. Eventually, they pulled away from each other and headed to bed, snuggling under the covers as they basked in the afterglow of their lovemaking.
Jessy stirred in bed, the morning sunlight streaming through the windows and warming her skin. She turned to see Lewis smiling down at her sleepily.
"Good morning," he said, his voice husky from sleep.
"Good morning," Jessy replied with a smile. "How did you sleep?"
"I slept like a rock," Lewis chuckled as he leaned in to kiss her forehead.
"Do you…do you have a thing for doggy style or something? You seemed pretty insistent on it," Jessy asked with a hint of humor in her tone.
Lewis gave her a smirk. "It's one of my favorite positions. But I'm open to trying new things if you have any suggestions," he said with a wink.
Jessy's cheeks warmed and playfully smacked his chest. "You're insatiable."
"I can't help it, you drive me crazy," Lewis replied.
Their lips met in a passionate kiss, but their moment was interrupted by the buzzing of Jessy's phone on the nightstand. They reluctantly pulled away and Lewis lazily extended his arm to grab it.
"Give me the phone, Lewis!" she chuckled as she playfully tried to take it from him.
"No way, I wanna see who's texting you so early—" Lewis trailed off as he read the text message from someone asking Jessy out on a date. "Who the fuck is this nigga? And why is he hitting you up for a date?"
Jessy's heart dropped as she saw the name on her phone. She had been hoping to avoid this conversation with Lewis for as long as possible, but now it seemed inevitable.
"Xavier is just a friend," she said, trying to keep her tone even.
"Just friends? And yet he's texting you at six in the morning asking for a date?" Lewis scoffed. "I don't buy it."
Jessy took a deep breath before answering. "I don't know why you're acting so possessive, Lewis. We're not together. You don't think that I don't know that you're out there flirting with other girls? I'm not dumb, so don't try to play like we're doing nothing more than satisfying each other's needs."
Jessy's words stung Lewis like a sharp knife. He knew he didn't have any right to be possessive or jealous, especially since they weren't even officially together. But the thought of Jessy going out on a date with someone else made his blood boil.
"I don't give a fuck 'bout them, Jessy," Lewis seethed. "Why do you even need other guys when you have me? Text him back and tell him no. He can't have you."
Jessy spoke with fire in her voice. "Who do you think you are?" she challenged. "I don't belong to you. I'm not in a relationship and I have the right to make my own decisions."
Jessy got up from the bed and slammed the bathroom door behind her, feeling frustrated and angry. She couldn't believe Lewis's possessiveness and jealousy. They had made it clear from the beginning that their relationship was purely physical, with no strings attached. So why was he acting like this?
She splashed cold water on her face, trying to calm herself down. Jessy looked at herself in the mirror and took a deep breath.
But she couldn't shake off the words Lewis had said. "He can't have you."
It felt like a threat, and if Lewis thought he could control who she chose to be with, he was mistaken.

𖤐 the kings curse | the ryomen sukuna series
synopsis: a favor has you tasked with taking care of the king of curses for a month, can you do it?
can be found on ao3 and wattpad.
“master, your bath has been drawn.” your voice squeaky from fear; you weren’t used to heiarchy, and to be quite frank, sukuna scared the shit out of you.
the room was silent for what felt like forever until he cleared his throat, his foot steps inching closer to you.
not daring to raise your head as your hands shook in your lap, the air becoming more suffocating.
a scoff coming out of his mouth as he pats your shoulder as he walks past you. “no need to be afraid; i don’t bite.”
but that was a lie; he did bite; he actually did more than that. your head was still down, tears welling out of your eyes.
you didn’t want to be here; your heart was beating so fast, and sweat combined with your tears.
of course, this was optional, but you had to do this for uraume. a task only they could do was requested of you, and they did it, but now you had to do this for them.
“why are you still kneeling?” his dark voice makes you jump, the lump in your throat quickly going down as you scramble to answer.
“i’m sorry, sir. i mean master, i wasn’t aware you were still right there.” your voice is still squeaky, and your knees are wobbling as you get up.
you should’ve known he was still there from the aura drifting around in the room, too caught up in your own head to notice.
you had to get it together, or you were going to get killed.
“and if i wasn’t? you would’ve stayed kneeling?” your body was still facing towards his throne, and you could feel his body getting closer to you.
he clears his throat as his final step is in front of you, and he grabs your jaw, forcing you to look at him.
your burning red eyes and snotty nose made him burst into laughter; there was no sense of embarrassment to be found; you were still scared.
if anything, he could kill you for just crying.
“oh my. do you expect my pity? i trusted uruames judgment, but it looks like you can’t do.” his voice quickly changed into a dark and broody tune.
your mind races and scrambles, trying to find anything and everything to say—an excuse, just anything—but nothing would make you sound more secure.
“no, master, i apologize.” your voice is almost pleading with him, even without you saying anything.
he lets go of your jaw and crosses his arms, not saying a word, his dark gaze still resting upon you.
“why shouldn’t i kill you? crying in my presence like this.” those words immediately send shivers down your spine.
he wouldn’t ask this if he wasn’t actually going to kill you; your fate is gone and your heart is racing.
what can you do in this situation? even uruame can’t help; they are loyal to their master.
“master. i want to serve you, i will not ask you not to kill me. your judgment is fair; do with me as you please.” your voice now has base in it, trying to stand your imaginary ground.
a laugh erupts from his lips as one of his hands covers his mouth. he was amused. that’s great; anything will do; you just didn’t want to die.
“amuse me. tell me, do i scare you?" a little laugh escaping at the last words, but theratning your heart.
at this rate, you were going to have heartache. to normal ears, this would’ve sounded like a yes-or-no question, but it was a trick question.
he could exile you at any point, if he liked your answer or not.
“no master.” your answer was short and vague; you knew and he knew that you were lying your ass off, but it did what was intended and amused him.
a sly smirk slithering on his face, and his footsteps slowly taking tiny steps towards you, your breathing getting heavier.
he was so close, you could feel the heat radiating off his body. the closer he got, the more tiny tears fell out of your eyes.
“have you ever done sexual favors?” the question immediately took you out of your breakdown—random yet targeted.
his hand quickly coming up to your jaw when he doesn’t get an immediate response, gripping your jaw with all his might.
you want to physically wince out of pain, but you refrain from doing so, not wanting to speak out of bounds.
“no, sir, i have not.” again, vague answer, just enough to keep you on the tip of the iceberg he was pushing towards water.
no words come out of his mouth after his response; his eyes are running over your face, the straightest face you’ve ever seen.
“good. you have a good body; persevere it.” his voice even deeper and his grip on your jaw dropping.
the throbbing immediately started; it hurt so bad, but you say nothing; you’ll take a million of those before dying.
“yes sir.” you reply back, your tone now steady and your hands fidgeting in front of and against you.
he walks off, slowly taking off his robe, only leaving his pants. clearing his throat, he drops it on the floor and looks back at you from the doorway.
“draw my bath again; it probably gotten cold.” with no hesitation, you quickly walk and pick up his robe from the floor, then follow three steps behind him to the corridors where the bathroom is.
three steps behind might’ve been an out-of-date concept, but you didn’t want to be near him; he made you quiver and uneasy.
your mind slowly gets back on track, and your heartbeat is staying consistent. realizing if it stayed like this for the rest of the month, you were all good.
arriving at the restroom, he swings the door open and immediately strips, your cheeks warming up from embarrassment.
you quickly fold his robe and walk in behind him, placing it down on the vacant chair in front of the chair.
all you could feel was his piercing, uncomfortable gaze on your back. oh, he’s getting impatient. you quickly walk out and go to the river nearby.
you get the bucket by the water and slide it in the water, picking it up, walking to the kitchen, and quickly turning on the stove.
you didn’t want to anger him, so you put the water into the vacant pot already set there, putting it on the highest setting.
the fire beneath, quickly sparking from the gas stove. you slid the little towel resting on the oven handle, putting it over your shoulder.
hearing bubbles from within the pot—that was awfully fast. it’s not a surprise he had good resources here.
you quickly put the wooden bucket on the floor and turn off the stove, your eyes sliding over the surrounding area for mittens.
the silence in the air only made you more anxious; one minute you were confident, and the other was nerve-wracking.
there was no trace of any. laughing to yourself for being idiotic when a towel was right on your shoulder.
sliding it off and raw dogging your other hand, quickly grabbing it, and leaning down, pouring the water into the bucket.
placing the pot back on the stove, you slide the towel back onto the stove handle and pick up the pot, returning it to the restroom doors.
“master, may i come in?” the boiling water settling into your palms. the air is silent until you hear him clear his throat, signaling for you to come in.
scurrying into the room, you walk to the end of the tub and place the bucket on the stand in front of it, sukuna’s hungry eyes stabbing into you.
you’re sitting in silence for a few seconds before pouring the water in. the sound of the water splashing and then diving into the water gives you tingles of relaxation.
you were scared to speak up and ask how the water temperature was, knowing he wouldn’t be afraid to tell you.
again, the silence in the air fills as you slide the bucket under the stand and see him clearing his throat.
you quickly stand up and begin to kneel, forgetting that’s what you were supposed to do, but his voice stops you.
“strip, now.”

do you guys every think abt death vs immortality as a thoroughline in like. literally all of the mechs albums.
old king cole is explicitly warped by immortality (never to forgive he would eternal live, his hands dyed red by gore - can be read a few ways depending on where u place the emphasis, but at the very least communicates that his wrath is facilitated By his immortality), and the olympians commit attrocities in order to hold onto their wealth and the immortality that it grants them (murdering arachne, yanking heracles' chain the second he tries to go freelance, having a monopoly on the acheron etc). the value they put on immortality and living forever, and the fear they have of ever possibly losing it, has completely warped their morals and priorities.
and while it comes up less in tbi, there's still significant emphasis placed on how odin has been in power for a century (both thor + the narrator bring it up, and there's also an emphasis on how long ago the bifrost project was started, and how 'no one left living' can explain its science). her villain monologue in rangarok iv places the extinction of asgard as an honour - a ruin that no one can possibly rebuild from is called 'apotheosis'. and as she says at the end, the idea that no one can possibly outlive her is a key draw for odin. asgard dies with her.
in hnoc, the only really immortal character is brian (and we only really know that bc of knowledge we get from outside the album), but the axis of life and death as a privilege vs a curse is still very present. 'mordred's gift to Arthur could be love in his own eyes / fating him alone to keep the life to which he clings', not only posits that the gift of survival isn't inherently good + kind (which the audience would immediately recognise as love, not possibly love), but places emphasis on the fact that arthur is now utterly alone. the station's death at the hands of mordred is hardly a happy one ('Its people damned, doomed by a man who's lost all his regrets'), but arthur's fate is arguably worse. severed from the finality and closure of death, what does he become? [insert that one cool theory abt hnoc arthur becoming old king cole here]
it's like. on a meta level, the reason we as fans don't put much emphasis on the depravity + cruelty of the mechs is bc the people portraying the mechs are all charismatic + skilled performers. in live gigs they're all portraying the fun side of their characters - roasting each other, bantering with the audience, making fun of the characters they're singing about, referencing off-screen violence - bc if they portrayed their lore too literally they'd be comitting felonies LMAOOO
but narratively, its like. literally every album is a meditation on the ways that the glorification of immortality can ruin civilisations - can ruin galaxies. whether its rooted in the fear of you specifically dying, or of being outlived, or overpowered or forgotten, or if its done for the sake of someone else's survival... it's all corrosive. if u refuse to accept the indisputable impermanence of life, you lose the ability to value it, and u numb urself to the reality of just how fucked up it is to cut another person's life short for any reason.
like. i do think some of the mechs started as good people, and some of them even might still have ethical standards, but i REALLY cannot stop thinking about how fucking. fascinating it is that this group of immortals who are KNOWN for basically considering nothing but how fun and/or violent any given activity will be, have basically filled their entire discography with songs about how their continued existence is corrosive and brings tragedy + ruin wherever they go.
so how self-aware are they? do you think those old morals + ethics still linger in their mind, when they're writing down these tragedies? they willingly self identify as liars + thieves + bastards, etc etc, and they seem to have no trouble identifying the 'bad guys' in the various albums (ie: humanising snow + cinders + rose, but not king cole), but do those concepts actually mean anything emotionally, or even theoretically, for them all beyond their dramatic potential? do they remember their lives before they were mechanised as it actually happened, or do they remember it as lyrics to a song? is it possible to be entirely self aware abt ur own capacity for violence (as jonny in paticular claims to be), if you no longer relate to violence as anything other than a narrative device - a means to an end, whether comedic or dramatic?

The Blessing to Your Curse - Part 2 (Ryomen Sukuna x Reader)
Tumblr media
I finally finished writing part 2, it was originally quite short but I managed to write over half of it in the last few hours while doing genshin dailies in the background lmaooo, anyway I hope you enjoy this part, it's been a few weeks in the making, and it's starting to kick off a little more! I'm super excited to write more for this series :)
Part 1 here!
Warnings: none really? quite fluffy, mentions of experiments later on but nothing described
Word count: 2.8k
Tumblr media
“Brat, let me talk to her,” “No, you don’t deserve to,” “You can’t keep me suppressed forever! You and that stupid white haired sorcerer, you can’t keep me away from her!” “I’ll let you talk to her when you let me sleep peacefully for once!”
You’d been walking down the hallway of your house to the bathroom when you heard Yuji talking to himself. Or more accurately, talking to the curse inside himself. Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses, who also happened to be your best friend and potential lover from a life you lived, lost, and then forgot a thousand years prior.
You knock tentatively on the door, “Yuji? May I come in?” “No! He’ll only get worse,” He grunts the last part but you crack the door open slightly, “Please Yuji, I can try asking him to leave you alone,” You hear shuffling and sheets moving and then the doorhandle is pulled from your grasp, his eyes dark with exhaustion as he looks down at you. He steps aside to let you in the room and you feel Sukuna’s energy reaching eagerly for you like a child would reach for his mother, seating yourself on his bed. He sits in front of you and brings his legs up to match your crossed position, “You really think he’ll leave me alone?” “I can’t make any guarantees, but I’ll see what I can do,” You say.
He sighs softly, his head drooping down and his eyes closing, before the familiar tattoos form beneath his skin and you almost feel you can see the changes to Yuji’s physical appearance as they happen. They’re subtle, and when he looks up again with all four eyes this time around you find yourself noticing the larger face shape and the fact his eyes are narrower. “They’re pathetic idiots, why won’t you help me take over this body? Why won’t you let me take you away?” He growls. You reach a hand forwards and take one of his, stroking the back with your thumb as you let your eyes trace over his body, Yuji’s grey sweatpants and plain yellow shirt looking so out of place on his body from what you remember in the Heian era.
His gaze is almost as heavy as Gojo’s six eyes, you can tell he’s getting impatient for your reply so you tilt your head, “Because we are different,” You murmur, “Though I remember you, and I remember me, I know that this body did not live through the trauma of our childhood, does not share that burden, and I fear you may resent me for it,” His hand finally grips yours in return, you can feel the taut of his muscles wanting to yank you closer as he hisses, “I made a binding vow, I sacrificed what was left of my humanity to avenge you, no matter how much we’ve changed since your death I will never break that vow, do you hear me?”
His nails prick into your skin but you don’t give him the satisfaction of a flinch. “Sukuna…” You murmur, squeezing his hand in return, “You said the world would be right when you found me again, but… as right as your world may seem, mine is on the edge of falling apart,” You’ve known for a long time that something was coming, and as soon as Yuji was introduced to you you thought the ‘something’ that haunted your dreams was Sukuna’s return, but a few more unexplainable nightmares later you knew whatever it is is definitely still coming, and it’s much worse.
“Your vow only stretches to me and my wellbeing, and while I am a well-trained sorcerer, I am first and foremost a healer,” He looks wholly unbothered by your words but you press on, “You promised to protect me, well answer me this Sukuna, my heart is a part of me is it not?”
He refuses to meet your eyes, stubborn as ever, but when you let go of his hand he reaches for it again before you get too far away, this time giving in to the urge to yank you towards him.
You tumble into his lap as he cradles the back of your head to look up at him, “No, no,  don’t look sad, I can’t handle that,” He’s never been the best at comforting you but you always managed to find some semblance of comfort and meaning in his words, “Just… tell me what you mean, and don’t call me Sukuna I hate how it sounds from your lips,” You manage to right yourself, feeling entirely out of place but completely at home in his arms.
“My heart belongs to the people of Jujutsu High as much as it belongs to you,” You murmur, feeling trapped within his crimson gaze, unable to escape, “If they die in the midst of whatever is coming, I fear my heart will go with them,” His nostrils flare and you can feel the raw heat of his cursed energy piercing your skin but he inflicts no wounds, hands gripping tightly, “They don’t deserve your heart, it’s mine, can’t you find a way to get me my own body?” He growls.
Your face twists sadly and tears well up in your eyes, “I don’t know,” You murmur, “Maybe, with my abilities, but I can’t guarantee anything especially if it puts me in the line of fire from Gojo or the higher ups,”
You hear him growl, his teeth sharp as he grimaces, “I didn’t make a binding vow to protect you all those years ago just to allow it to be broken by one brat who can’t even survive a special grade on his own,” His grip on your arms is both painful and comforting and you cup his cheek, “I won’t let the vow break, Ryomen, vessel or no vessel,” He’s forced to meet your gaze and you resist the urge to poke him, “You’re one proud self-centred piece of shit you know that?” “If I’m self-centred you’re a part of that self, like it or not you’re stuck with me,” He grunts, his eyes softening as his grip loosens.
You sigh, letting your hand fall and sitting back off his lap, “Look, I’ll do it, the body thing, I will really try, but only because you actually asked me to,” His wolfish grin makes you huff, “And only if you help me convince Gojo by getting along with the sorcerers for once, because there’s something worse than you coming,”
His face is blank and he sniffs, “I’ll protect you, that’s what I promised, so if that means I have to help some idiotic sorcerers claim victory over a threat supposedly worse than me then so be it,”
“I can’t believe I’m helping you,” You grumble, “You know I could get in a lot of trouble for this,” “Such a pity I’m your only weakness,” He teases, running his tongue over his teeth with a predatory look in his eyes. “Mess with the bull and you’ll get the horns, I’m not as physically restricted as I used to be,” You chastise, “And if you don’t play along I refuse to risk my place here just to save your ass,”
With a roll of his eyes the tattoos fade from his face and Yuji returns, yawning widely, “What did you guys talk about?” He mumbles, rubbing his eyes. You tilt your head, “I made a deal with him that can benefit us,” You shake your head, “But you don’t have to worry about that, he won’t hurt me, so if he goes off the rails all I need to do is throw myself off a cliff or in front of his technique and he’ll stop,”
“You have an awful lot of faith in a thousand year old curse who treats everyone like a piece of crap,” He side-eyes you, clearly suspicious, but you brush it off, “Yuji, let me just assure you, he doesn’t do it for no reason. His village, my village, was afraid of him, they treated him like dirt and then exiled him and expected him to go quietly,” You touch his arm softly, “I did everything I could to prevent him from turning on everyone, but my village was swarmed with curses and I died in his arms,”
His eyes soften slightly as you recite your memories, “He made a binding vow to reunite with me, he’s not going to risk that just to return to punishing the world, I know him better than anyone because I was there, I was his only hope in a world that punished him for existing,”
“Was it his cursed energy?” Yuji asks, tilting his head slightly. You nod, “It’s always been that strong, it was volatile and uncontrollable and he hurt people when he was much younger, he’s spent his life refining it and trying to prove he could control it, and it took me dying for him to finally find the strength to wrestle it into something he could wield properly. I was the only person that treated him like a human, but he and I were the same,”
“Your opposite energy, right?” You nod at his inquiry, “He and I were like two sides of the same coin, I suppose it could have been some sort of coincidence that we were in the same place, but I was treated with reverence and respect where he was ridiculed and rejected,” Yuji yawns again and you brush some hair back from his forehead, “Get some rest, I’m sure Gojo will want you at peak performance for training,” He nods, slumping back against the pillows and falling asleep with soft snores almost instantly.
You sigh softly, standing to leave the room. Things just got a lot harder, you’ve now got to figure out how to use your abilities to create an entirely new body for Sukuna based on what you remember from the Heian era, and then you’ve got to make sure that nobody figures out it was you, lest you break all trust placed in you.
You like to imagine that if your life was a movie, the next few weeks would have made up a training montage under some popular tune like Holding Out for a Hero by Bonnie Tyler or We Built this City by Starship, but unfortunately the vast majority of your time is spent on unsavoury experiments on curses that leave you soaked with sweat and make you vomit from exertion.
You’re disgusted with yourself, knowing that you’ve stooped to levels that Noritoshi Kamo once did. Each new mission comes with an opportunity to test out your developing skills. An arm here, a leg there, every so often a face pops out at you, but nothing human. You want the best for Sukuna, as morbid as that seems, and you will not settle for anything less than entirely human.
But, creating life from nothing but cursed flesh is one of the hardest things you think has ever been attempted in Jujutsu history. You’re sure it can be done, you know that all you need is to channel enough of your energy and focus into it and you’re sure you’ll be able to recreate his body perfectly.
Only one person seems to notice the change in your demeanour, and he has finally been able to remember the conversation you shared with Sukuna that night. Itadori approaches you seated in the clearing behind your house and sits beside you, “Sukuna thinks I can help you, with the body thing,” He says bluntly.
“Don’t tell me that,” You murmur, rubbing your eyes tiredly, “You’ll be punished as an accomplice if I’m discovered,” “You just need my DNA, it’ll help you create a clone of my body and then-” You cut him off with a side-eye and a hand clapped over his mouth, “Yuji, you’re not listening, they’ll know, and they’ll punish both of us, he’s dangerous,”
He grabs your hand, superior in strength, and lowers it from his mouth, “If it gets this idiot out of my head, then I’m willing. I trust you, even if I don’t trust him, and I know you’ll stop him from doing anything awful,” He shrugs, “Besides, its not like they weren’t going to kill me the moment they found out Sukuna was inside me anyway, what’s an extra crime on my head in the grand scheme of things?”
You tear up, sniffing quietly, “I’m sorry,” You murmur, “I shouldn’t be asking this of you,” “You love him, we all do crazy things for the people we love,” He’s oddly mature for his age and it scares you a little, “Whatever, just make sure next time we’re on a mission together you let me do this for you, okay?”
“As much as I hate this plan, I’ll do it,” You murmur, “But not at the expense of a life, if someone innocent is in trouble they come first, agreed?” He nods firmly, “Save as many people from unnecessary death as possible,” After squeezing his hand gently and metaphorically sealing the deal, there’s no going back. One way or another, Ryomen Sukuna will return to the mortal plane, for better or for worse.
It comes as no surprise to you that the night you spoke with Yuji, you find yourself dragged into a deep sleep where you wake in Sukuna’s innate domain. A place you’ve only seen once before, in a waking nightmare that gave you a glimpse of his past through his eyes. “Sorry about the mess,” He rumbles from atop his throne of skulls and bones, “I don’t normally have visitors beyond the brat,”
You cross your arms, sitting in the oddly not wet pool of suspicious red liquid, “You didn’t even think to spruce it up in here a little bit for my sake? You brought me here after all,” He shakes his head, standing and then walking down the pile of bones to your side where he crouches, “I didn’t bring you here, you fell in on your own,” He pokes your cheek, “Guess I should’ve known this would happen when I opened my domain to you,”
You frown, “I… fell?” He nods, “Probably the result of over-exhaustion, and the relief of finally having some sort of solution to the problem I gave you,” He shrugs, “Who can say?” He seems distant, detached, it hurts you to know he hasn’t reached for you since that night you spoke.
You stand up and look around, taking in the endless black void beyond the massive ribcage that encapsulates his throne, “Why now? Why’d you invite me here?” “I wanted to see you, is that so much to ask?” You shake your head, “You could just come to me through Yuji,” “And have the brat listening to everything we say? You’re crazy if you think I’d let that happen,”
You sigh, “Yeah, but why now? You haven’t spoken to me in weeks, and I refuse to do this for you if you’re keeping secrets from me, I’m not weak Ryomen, not like I used to be,” He stands beside you, looking down at you with an unreadable expression, and suddenly the space around you changes. A field of grass, painfully familiar, and a pair of young teenagers in the distance laughing playfully.
Why is he showing you this? Why is he rubbing salt against an open wound? “When I look into your eyes, I see her,” He murmurs, looking over at the memory of your past, “I see her, but I also see you, and I see how you’ve changed, I see your differences and I see how you’ve stayed the same,” You remain quiet as his memory tackles yours into the grass, handling you delicately as he always did.
“I’m… readjusting,” He looks down at you, his arms crossed and face still painfully neutral, “You were born in this era, you know your way around, I’m still the same as I was, I’m still a thousand years old,” He points to the memory, “That is me, but that isn’t really you, just your mind,” You yearn to comfort him but you don’t know how, you don’t want to risk alienating him from you more than he already is.
“I suppose there’s nothing I can really say to convince you otherwise,” You say slowly, “Considering the fact it took a jolt of your energy to jog my memory, but… I am here, and I want to be that for you again,” You gesture out to the field which has begun to fade. He sighs, his shoulders slumping just a bit, “You won’t be caged for much longer,” You murmur, reaching your hands up and resting them on his cheeks, your thumbs brushing just under his second pair of eyes softly.
“Don’t make promises you may regret,” He mumbles and, if you didn’t know any better, you would have thought for a moment he might begin to cry, but he remains silent. The domain falls away around you and you’re left with the feeling of his face in your palms as he lets you go and you’re allowed to return to sleep.

The Family Curse Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The family curse is something we should all be bold and brave enough to defy because it is not real by any means as far as Ian M. Bohen.
Ian truly is a magnificent man standing very short but tall enough for the shadow to be overcasting his body in a shadowy deep self on a wall.
The alley way he stops in corner with a rush of whooshing air blasting past him swoop him in to the home he once use to spend his youth in as a kid the memories run extreme in his mind.
Running rampant in the background of his older mind smoothing in out the door swung to the side slamming hard as he enters up the staircase.
The hall is dwindling away growing very long sharp and endlessly beginning to unwire as he makes his way even further in to the old home.
A sound of waves howl loudly bouncing on the wall back and forth hitting his ears so harshly sending him crushing in to the wall like a wound.
A strange man swirls up under his chin lifts him up by the chin playing with it carefully as the man shook and tingles him to all of his spine.
He is shaking to his core than his body is hit be thrown in to the wall as he falls flat on to the back as it symbolically broke and he is under my spell.
The air grows colder fogging up the window in each room a hand invisible but soft to the touch rolling him up to the side and a hand is on him.
“You humans always rushing for your belts and guns.”
“No one is allowed in this house but me.”
“Fool! You dare condemn me from my own mansion.”
“Your mansions? Are you crazy?”
“You dare disrespect me”
“SHUT UP! Eyes focus, everything filters in to the dark but me.”
“Yes! I am yours”
“You will address me as Master Lawrence “
“You will answer me Sir Yes Sir”
“Sir Yes Sir”
“Do you succumb?”
“I can’t fight it”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“How do you feel man? Is everything ok?” His partner calls from the car.
“Damn it! Why won’t he answer?” Mark yells to himself exiting the car he shut the door.
Drunk as ever he stumbles up the staircase in to the home cautious in his action he took with utter happiness.
“SHIT” he curses falling forward on to his hot face.
“Why won’t you reply?”
“I am coming in”
“Is that a gun or are you happy to see me?”
“Back to the wall and don’t say a word”
“Good boi!”
“I am about to strip you “
“Oh God! I am straight “
“Why am I turned on?”
“Your partner is no longer in control”
“A possession “
“You got it”
“You accept and submit “
“My commands are ultimate “
“I am your lord, master, king and God!”
“Good bois”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Stare upward in to the ceiling “
“Do you remember your old pal?”
“Yes former Officer friend Chris Wood”
“Oh yeah! What the fuck happened for you?”
“He serves me at the moment “
“Now and forever “
“He will be your partner “
“Help him to ascend “
“Disrobe him”
“Worship him, make him cum and explode”
“Use his cock “
“Cum everywhere”
“EXPLODE”
“OH OH OH AH AH AH”
“AHHHHH…G-O-D”
“He is erased for all time “
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Kiss him both of you “
“ Release and sleep”
“Mwahahahahaha “
“Good bois”
“What a short but toned body “
“Smells so good”
“Stand straight “
“Tall”
“Mmmmmm”
“Oooohhhhaaaaahhhh”
“Fuck”
“Something is going up my ass”
“STOP”
“Bastard”
“Bach in charge feels so good”
“Oh guys”
“Get over here”
“Suck me off “

CHAPTER - 7
Warm gazes of the sun poured in and illuminated the room, as a gentle breeze carried the air of summer. Laying beside him under the sheets you caressed his face with moments of the previous night playing in your brain.
"If anyone had told me this is what my geisha life would have come to…I would have ignored them and laughed"
Where is my life going?
Deep in thought, all memories of the past flooded your brain. It felt like a play of sorts, the only difference being that rather than a story with a happily ever after it had no route
It was like a wandering boat in the ocean-going where the wind led it.
x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x
Many days had passed, and now you were his lover, not just any lover, one of his most if not the only prized lover of the one and only Sukuna 'The King of Curses'.
Many things had happened, and many people had died. The Shogun was pressured by not only the Emperor but also the Big Sorcerer clans- Gojo, Zenin, Kamo, Fukiwara, Inumaki, etc to find who it was. You had stopped being a Geisha, as well he would have killed them if you had continued; accompanying him wherever he went in your Hikizuri holding your Wagasa above your head making the days pass by peacefully.
Recently you and Sukuna decided to go to a mountain. It was nothing too big, just a short walk to enjoy the scenery of summer, it was a bit isolated so that sorcerers would not track him down, he did not care- but well for your safety he kept an eye out.
"It sure is quite sunny today", you muttered as you walked beside him lifting the hem of your Hikizure to not stumble.
Unexpectedly he stops causing you to lift your head to where he is looking making your eyes widen in shock as the scene unfolding is unusual and it was quite peculiar.
Huge trees stood on both sides of an entrance, there were men bridal carrying their wives up the steep stone stairs, and many more couples shyly held hands.
"Hm…Interesting", he smirked curiously
As you and he stood looking at what was going on a couple approached you
"Excuse me? Is this the 'Sakurasou Ceremony' Shrine?", the man enthusiastically walked holding his wife's hand
"The, 'Sakurasou Ceremony', what is it?", intrigued you and Sukuna looked at the couple
"Oh! It's your first time here?"
"Yes"
"It's a ritual, where the husband carries his wife up the stairs of the shrine, it's a steep climb of 450 stairs, sincerely without stopping or any tricks! It's said that whoever completes this ritual has their souls forever tied together till the end of time!", chirping in the lady laughed
"It's a ritual that can only be done once in 100 years, to do it again you need to wait 100 years! Rarely have people been able to complete it because you cannot stop and even rest! once you start there is no stopping~"
Soon a voice is heard and the couple walks away happily, giggling and chatting
"Humans sure are unique, a ritual like this?", he laughed intrigued
"It is…can the people who complete it really have their souls… tied together forever?", giving him a small smile your eyes traced the stairs which looked never-ending in wonder
"Let's do it shall we?" with a smirk he grabbed your wrist
"W-Wait what!? Are you crazy!? we are not even married!", your eyes widened in shock as you implored him to think again, but he continued walking without hearing anything
"Sukuna!" with a scream you pulled your hand away from his grasp
"We are not…married, are you sure?" you gazed at him with your hands trembling protesting
"Does it matter? Is marriage needed for me to love you forever Y/n? And I am curious so what do you say?" Grabbing your wrist his eyes looked into yours unwaveringly
"Alright…", with a whisper you tried to hide your blush and your heart pounded in your lungs threatening to blow up.
This is crazy
Walking together you made your way to the entrance, your hand intertwined in his as the Sakura petals fell from the trees gracing a journey. Arriving at the entrance, the first step.
With a smirk he pulled you towards him, swooping you off your feet into his arms, with that the climb started; 450 steps non-stop.
Beads of sweat glistened and rolled down his forehead to his neck soaking him, the sun was scorching hot shining above both your heads with your hands wrapped around his neck.
Using his ability he would have completed this in no time but- to think he was obeying the rules and following the process of carrying you, him a god-like figure was obeying the rules of a mortal ritual.
With the sleeve of your Hikizuri, you wiped the sweat off his face with worry in your eyes.
"Sukuna…"
"What?" with a smirk, he kissed you
"No need to worry, what are you worried about?"
"I am The King of curses after all", picking up pace he continued climbing
Some hours passed and you both took the final step reaching the top, and completed the ritual. The priests were stunned to see someone being able to complete it and hurriedly rushed to offer glasses of water.
"To complete this you sir have gained my respect! haha!", one priest laughed as others chatted
He simply stood smugly beside you with pride bathing in the praises and his ego inflated to the moon.
His hands wrapped around your waist looking into your eyes, seeing him like this you could not help but smile and kiss him. It got a bit sensual as his hands started roaming around your body.
"So.." the head priest coughed, "How long have you two been married for?"
Before you could speak Sukuna spoke
"We are not married"
Causing the priests to gasp in shock as an old lady stepped in front of you both
"Would you like to get married?" with a warm smile she looked at you both holding her walking stick
"No-No it's fine" you chuckled nervously shaking your head
Your body shook, goosebumps spread across your skin causing your hair to stand on end. A shock so deep your bones felt rattled, feeling your legs give out hearing the words that came out of his mouth.
"Yes, we shall"
"W-Wait…Sukuna! I-"
The old lady went to fetch some items from the inner sanctum of the shrine with a smile as other priests began preparations for the ceremony.
"Y/n…I don't need marriage to know you are mine and I am yours, but..", he tucked a strand of your hair behind your ears smirking
"I found a wish list of yours, and one of them was getting married. Mortal rituals mean nothing to me but…since it's your wish I will grant it today"
Stunned feeling all air leave your lungs as you stood steeled on the spot looking at him; feeling time stop and the breeze coming to a halt.
Before you knew it the ritual had started
"Groom, do you Sukuna, marry this woman and become her partner. Will you in peaceful times, during sickness, love this person, respect this person, comfort this person, help this person, until death, do you promise to fulfill?"
"I do even beyond death"
"Bride, do you Y/n, marry this man and become his partner. Will you in peaceful times, during sickness, love this person, respect this person, comfort this person, help this person, until death, do you promise to fulfill?"
The shimmering sake poured from the Heavens down to Earth, overflowing with a fate sealed forever. No matter how many flowers bloom, wither, and turn to dust, this thread of fate has forever been tied even beyond the universe itself. "I do forever"
Footnotes: >Such a ritual does not exist in Japan the 'Sakurasou' is actually a flower meaning 'Eternal love' hence 'Sakurasou Ceremony Shrine' literally translates to 'Eternal Love Ceremony Shrine'. >But such a ritual does exist in India I stumbled across it as I was searching romantic rituals related to carrying brides and whatnot all over the world. It is their in a temple where the groom literally has to carry the bride 450 steps to reach the temple since many people are not able to do it 5 steps have been kept as minimum. If you wanna learn more just look it up lol I thought it was very romantic~ hehe~ I added some of my own stuff to the original ritual! So yeah! >The wedding vows written here are real that is done is Japanese traditional marriage~
>Check out my masterlist for all chapters and other works!

❝and i am the idiot with the painted face, in the corner, taking up space.❞
♡ izana kurokawa ♡
pt. 1
a/n: i love putting mikey and izana stans through pain lolz.
content: royal! au, prince izana x princess y/n (reader), arranged marriage, shitty/toxic parenting, angst, cheating, izana’s a jerk, swearing/cursing, maybe smut (?), strangers to enemies to lovers, not checked for grammatical errors.
⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅
nothing ever lasts forever.
you looked at the roses that were becoming shriveled up, slowly withering. the cold, unforgiving winter was soon to come. the grassy fields filled with flowers and little creatures of mother nature would be embraced by cold arms, blanketed with snow.
you bitterly grimaced at how this pathetic flower was used as a symbol of love. ironically, it fits.
love?
no such thing truly exists, and even if it does, it’s either fake or bound to die in the future.
you leaned down, picking up one of the sorrowful roses from the royal garden, looking at it with pity. while plucking off the petals, you accidentally pricked your finger from one of the thorns on the stem.
you were startled from the short-lived pain, looking at your index finger as you saw the small droplet of the crimson red liquid.
“you truly are evil.” you whispered, throwing the stupid flower on the ground just like any other worthless piece of trash.
“princess! what are you doing out here in such weather?! you’ll catch a cold!” one of the maids rushed in, concern and fear written all over her face.
“could i never get a second of peace and quiet? what is it that you need?” you harshly spat out, knowing that these stupid women didn’t care for your actual well-being.
they were ordered to for the sake of their pockets being filled.
of course, the world had to revolve around money and green of us filthy human beings.
“the king and queen has requested for you.” she spoke with a low voice, eyes not meeting your glaring ones.
“tell them to fuck off.” you bluntly replied, getting up to walk towards the orchid tree that was located way far back towards the end of the garden. suddenly, you felt the maid drop on her knees, holding one of your legs.
“what the fuck, get off of me!” you tried to wiggle her off, but she shook her head in refusal.
“please, princess! your father has already threatened all of us to have our heads chopped off because of not having you follow your daily routine. you must come or else our lives are at stake!” she sobbed, making you look down at them with a disgusted expression.
“you sick morons.” you grumbled under your breath, agreeing to head inside which made her thank you as if you were god himself granting her a blessing.
the maid escorted you to your parent’s room, afraid that you might not stay true to your words. regardless, you decided to have it her way to save her sanity. after reaching the door of your parent’s room, the maid knocked on the door before entering.
“the princess is here, your highness.” she informed before taking her leave which was your cue to enter. you closed the door behind you, seeing the both of them sitting on the edge of their bed, looking at you with a small smile.
“why did you call me?” you asked, cutting straight to the chase. you knew that your parents were filled with bullshit, all they cared about is being the most powerful kingdom to ever exist.
power, money, fame.
they wanted it all and it made you sick to your stomach. your morals and view on topics that were flaming hot to them largely differed. you just wanted to live a simple life, and it’s not that you’re an ungrateful brat.
you just have the world’s shittiest parents.
“is that how you were taught to speak to people, y/n?” you father snapped back at you, clearly displeased by your response.
“i don’t even speak to anyone in general, so who cares?” you commented with a shrug, making your mother sigh in disappointment.
“well, you will eventually one day in the future. you’ll inherit the throne, have a husband and lead your joined kingdoms until you pass it down to your kids.” she explained to you with a soft tone, nearly making you gag.
“me? marriage? as if.” you laughed, but your parents only looked at you with a serious expression. your voiced died down, now looking at them with nothing but shock and disbelief.
“why are you both quiet? tell me it’s a joke, what’s wrong with you?” you angrily scoweled, but they remained quiet.
“y/n, you’re no longer our little girl anymore. you’re a young woman now, who’s ready to fulfill her duties as the future queen and as someone’s wife.” your father tried to caress your cheek in a loving manner, but you swatted his hand away, on the brink of tears.
“how dare you! does my voice or opinion not have any worth to you guys? how can you decide such a big thing for me without even thinking about if i want it or not!” you raged, wanting to dig yourself a small grave right on the spot you were standing in.
“you don’t have a say, y/n! what don’t you understand?! you must get married, it’s an order by our law and nature. you’re a princess for god’s sake!” your mother scolded you, getting fed up from such childish behavior from you.
“then fuck being a princess, i’ll run away.” you threatened, your tears streaming down your face as your heart ached.
“you know that’ll never work, so stop being immature and try to accept things as how it is.” your father snickered, making you wanna rip your hair out.
“then i’ll end my life.” it was a rather rash thing to say, but it caught the attention of your parents, especially your father. he clutched onto his chest, breathing heavily, which alarmed your mother. she quickly rushed to his side, laying him down on the mattress while you watched with a blank expression.
“how dramatic. he should’ve signed up to become a theater entertainer than be a king.” you scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest.
“y/n! that’s enough.” your mother said through gritted teeth, fanning your father who coughed like a man that’s been smoking thirty cigars a day.
“if you both are done wasting my time, may i leave?” you yawned, getting bored of the same kind of shit that you had to go through nearly every day.
she didn’t bother looking up at you, ignoring your words as a way to indicate that she didn’t care.
“could’ve just said yes, y’know.” with that being said, you turned your heels and walked out, making sure to slam the door extra hard to piss them off even more.
you giggled after hearing the noise echoing through the empty halls, knowing for sure that your parents are probably talking shit about you right now. you hummed a small tune as you walked to your room.
“they’re crazy to think that i would actually agree to this shit.” you talked to yourself as you began to strip out of your gown, throwing it on your bed before walking inside your bathroom.
you shoved a finger inside the tub, checking if the temperature was right. you grinned in content, feeling the warmth of the water as you eagerly stepped in, lowering yourself slowly.
you couldn’t help but feel sorry for yourself. there are thousands of people out there who wished to be in your spot right now, living the life as a princess.
but, they only see your life from a small glass window, not being able to peak further deep inside.
they think that just because you bathe in luxury every day, your life is perfect. what they don’t see is how trapped you feel, how your parents are so controlling over your life, almost as if you were their very own puppet.
why?
you were hidden away from your whole life, envying the lives of commoners. you were homeschooled while everyone else went to public schools. you had no friends nor were you allowed to explore the village because it makes you appear improper. you have to wear bigass, itchy and uncomfortable gowns every day.
you hated it, absolutely hated it with every fiber in your body. if only all of your problems could be drowned like this, then maybe life wouldn’t have been so bad.
“i don’t care what it takes, i won’t be getting married.” you promised yourself, sinking deeper into the tub until you were completely submerged in the water.
...
“no, no! you can’t do this to me! i’m your fucking daughter, not a puppet. please, don’t do this. i’ll do anything, just don’t give me away.” you pleaded to your mother as you sat on your bed, dressed into the wedding dress that the maids successfully had shoved you inside.
“y/n, my baby, please just listen to me. your father and i love you so mu-”
“bullshit! absolute bullshit, stop lying to me! god, all you both ever do is lie! fuck, i hate you guys so much.” you wept, not caring that you had streaks of mascara running down your face.
“you need to understand that your father isn’t in the best condition to rule the kingdom. his heart problems are getting worse, and i won’t be able to take care of everything all by myself. joining our kingdom with the kurokawa’s would lessen the burden on us.” she tried to reason, taking a napkin to wipe away your ruined makeup as you looked up at her with glossy eyes, seeing not a single hint of care or adoration.
her eyes looked empty and you knew that these people would not hesitate to sell you off like some kind of livestock if they needed some money.
“you guys disgust me. all you care about is your benefits and never about me. you want me to get married? fine, i’ll get fucking married. since you guys along with that fucker that agreed to this shit basically ruined my life, i’ll make sure to return the favor.” you smirked, getting up as you grabbed the smashed bouquet of flowers.
“y/n-”
“don’t wanna hear it.” you cut her off, walking off to head downstairs where the chapel was. you saw your father waiting down by the stairs for you, looking at you with a horrified face.
“y/n? your makeup is-”
“does it look like i care? are you gonna walk me down the aisle or should i go by myself?” you impatiently said, making your father’s jaw drop from the sudden change of attitude. you avoided eye contact with him, not being able to bear the sight of how your father looked pleased with the change of heart you had, completely overlooking the fact of how your eyes screamed in despair.
“of course not, dear. come on.” he heartily chuckled, linking your arms together before leading you inside the chapel. your body burned with hatred, every step that you took felt like your legs were chained with weights.
“you could hate me all you want, y/n, but one day you’ll realize that everything that i have done for you is for the best.” your father said, his words completely flying over your head as you knew that it would be no use of saying anything to him.
it’s too late anyways.
the doors opened, a blinding ray of light hitting you as you could picture the chapel looking as beautiful as ever, knowing that your mother hired the best in town to decorate everything. however, you kept your eyes on the ground, being led up the few step as your father finally let go of your arm.
the priest began to read the wedding vows and midway there was a pause to allow the exchange of rings to occur.
your soon-to-be husband extended his hand, waiting for you to place yours on his palm. his skin was tan, long slender fingers with a few veins being painted on the surface of his hand as well. with a heavy heart, you lightly placed your hand on his, making sure to have minimal skin-to-skin contact with him.
“izana?” the priest called out, and for the first time, you’ve heard what your husband’s name was.
“yes?” he answered, his voice deep and smooth like honey.
“do you take y/n as your wife, promising to stay by her side through better or worse, sickness and in health, till death pulls you both apart?” the familiar lines were recited, making your vision become a blur with tears.
those vows, these same sacred words to prove one’s faith and love to each other, it wasn’t meant for you or this izana guy. you had the right to wait for your knight and shining armor, your romeo and your prince charming.
“i do.” izana said firmly, his voice not shaking at all as he was ready to seal the deal.
“y/n?” the sudden intrusion of the voice startled you as you were deeply indulged in your train of thoughts.
“what?” you blurted out without any thought, hearing gasps around the room as you swore at yourself before muttering a quick apology to the priest.
“that’s quite alright, dear. do you take izana as your husband, promising to stay by his side through better or worse, sickness and in health, till death pulls you both apart?” the same lines almost seemed taunting you know, as if it was mocking your situation. you were thankful that the veil was covering your face, as your face was now covered with streaks of your dried tears.
it was never supposed to be this way.
you shouldn’t be up here getting married to some stranger whom you’ve never met before. as the crowd began to silently gossip among themselves, you felt like your knees would give up any minute from how anxious you felt.
you had two choices.
you still had the chance to run away, maybe even go abroad to another village far away from here and keep your identity hidden until you could get on a ship to go overseas.
you don’t take izana kurokawa as your loving husband whom you swear to spend the rest of your life with through sickness and in health.
you’re no princess, and you’re most certainly not qualified to be a queen who should rule such a vast kingdom. to all those stuck up people that are like loyal dogs under royal laws, you’re their puppet that’s being trained to become a loyal dog just like them.
but you weren’t one of them nor did you wish to become like them. you’re not a dog who’ll abide by the rules, trained to serve their husband and a piece of land.
no, absolutely not.
you were a caged bird who wished to be free. you read many books that were stored in the castle’s library. there are about 18,000 species of birds out there, roaming freely to their heart’s desire.
beautiful and colorful wings that allow them to explore different place in the earth. you wished to be like them, you too want to spread your wings and take a leap of faith in life. you want to go to the amazon forest, see the creation of mother nature.
and you knew well enough that in order to do that, you must take a risk. it was a 50/50, but at this point, who cares about the odds?
“i do.”
...
the wedding was over and you were now headed towards the kurokawa kingdom, which wasn’t too far off from your own. it was a two hour car ride, you thought you would be able to rest in the comforts of your own room for the night.
to your dismay, your parents had other plans.
they had the maids pack up your things and have it waiting for you already at your new “home”. to you it seemed like your parents were only counting how much time was left till you would finally depart from them.
assholes.
it was an awful wedding.
all the dishes that were served were shit that you were forced to eat as a child. it’s true that you were a picky eater but you weren’t always like this. the castle’s diet consisted of eating only clean foods to prevent health concerns like obesity or heart problems since they both ran in the family.
to which you weren’t against at first.
but you could vividly remember how when you went down to the village and stopped by a small udon shop to try their delicious meat udon special, your mother soon arrived and ripped you away from the shop before threatening to have you skip dinner.
she would give the same lecture about how men like women who have a nice figure, long lucious hair along with a shy and soft demeanor.
to which you would simply just walk off while she kept on going off, pretty much talking to herself since you didn’t even bother to listen to her bullshit.
the guests were snobby, from both sides of the family. while izana was busying himself on entertaining those fools with a charming smile and soft eyes, you gave everyone who tried to approach you a death stare.
izana kurokawa.
after you both exchanged your vows, it was time to show the god awful crowd the love and devotion you both have towards each other.
a kiss.
you were going to kiss izana kurokawa, who was now your husband. you were going to kiss a man whom you’ve never seen or heard of before until an hour ago.
gentle hands lifted your veil as you slowly looked up, eyes meeting for the first time. it felt like time had stopped, you couldn’t stop staring at him.
he was gorgeous.
the title of a prince was meant for izana kurokawa. he was responsible, kind and caring. snowy white hair that was parted, mesmerizing amethyst eyes with soft white lashes, honey glazed skin and a small smile on his lips.
izana bent down, his face hovering above yours as you could feel his warm breath fanning over your flesh. you closed your eyes, waiting his lips to meet yours.
however, no such thing ever happened.
his lips weren’t touching yours, barely brushing against them to say the least. yet, the guests roared with cheers and you soon came to realization. you opened your eyes, only to see those same lips curl into a smirk as he lazily eyed down at you.
izana kurokawa was not your husband because he too didn’t want to fulfill that role in your life.
you were not his wife nor would you ever be.
“we’re here, sir.” the drive came to a stop as the driver announced the arrival to the destination, pulling up to the castle doors. izana hummed in acknowledgment, as one of the guards opened the door for him. without a word, he left with the slam of the door, leaving you alone in the car.
“what a fucking jerk.” you grumbled to yourself, hearing the driver faintly chuckle as you shot him a glare from the backseat, knowing that he’d see it on the car’s rear mirror.
“the hell are you laughing at, huh?” you boldly spoke up, making him look back with a small smile.
“princess, do not be so naive. our prince is not like those whom you’ve read about in tales like cinderella or sleeping beauty. it’s not my place to talk ill about our soon to be king, but you’ll find out soon enough, so don’t be deceived.” he warned, making you harshly gulp.
the driver was nice enough to pull the door open for you, offering a rough hand to help your get out of the car since your dress seemed like it weighed over a thousand pounds.
the kurokawa kingdom was north from your own kingdom, but you never thought that it would make this much of a difference in weather. your wedding dress was sleeveless, making the cold breeze hit your skin as you shivered.
you noticed how the castle was built on a hill, the grass was barely alive, most likely due to the cold weather. it was a mountainous area after all.
“shall we?” one of the butler interrupted your thoughts, waiting with the door opened as you nodded.
you entered the castle doors, seeing how the interiors were nothing like your boring castle design. it was purple and gold, art works of famous artists hung up on the wall of angelic beings, and the halls smelled faintly of lavender.
“shall i take you to your room, prince-”
“that won’t be necessary, we have to talk about a few things. don’t worry, i’ll take it from here.” izana cut him off, walking down the grand stairs.
“of course, sir.” the butler bowed his head before leaving.
“we have nothing to talk about. it’s nearly midnight and i’m tired, i want to go to bed.” you groaned, trailing behind him as you were now in the living room.
“there’s some rules that you must follow now that you live with me.” he informed, sitting down as he crossed one leg over the other.
“how lovely, i came from one prison to another. life truly loves me, huh?” you bitterly chuckled, crossing your arms over your chest as you glared at him.
“how pitiful.” faux sympathy was painted all over his features, making your blood boil.
“hey bitchface, who do take me as? you think that just because we’re married now, you could do whatever you want with me as you wish? please, don’t make me laugh.” you giggled, getting up as you walked over to him. izana’s face remained unfazed with his previous smug look.
you bent down to come at eye level with his sitting stature.
“i never listened to my own parents rules, so, the fuck made you think that i’d listen to yours?” you taunted, cocking an eyebrow as he maintained eye contact with you.
“unlike your parents, i could have you out of this castle with the snap of a finger. i’m not as sympathetic nor do i give a single shit about you like your parents. you are their child whom they tolerated, but to me, you’re nothing but a nobody. so, mind your tone when speaking to me.” izana strictly said, giving you a sarcastic smile as he was able to see that he made his point across.
you sighed as you walked back to the sofa, plopping down while you waited for him to open his shitty mouth once again to tell you about his so-called rules.
“your room is located on the east wing of the castle and my room is in the west wing, so there shouldn’t be a reason why i should ever see yo-”
“first of all, how fucking self-centered are you to even think that i’d go to your room? you think i’m some kind of bimbo who’ll be all dolled up on your bed or clean up after your ass? i’d rather die than go to you.” you angrily spat out, in complete disbelief that this jackass had the audacity to even think of you like that.
“well that’s a relief, it’s good that you aren’t stupid. the problem is, your manners are so shit.” he scoffed, looking at you like you’re some kind of alien.
“weren’t you taught to never cut people off mid sentence? especially, to your husband.” izana mocked, tilting his head to the side as he knew he was slowly pushing all of your buttons.
“you want me to ruin the price worthy face of your so bad, huh?” you kissed your teeth in annoyance.
“anyways, you should almost never come to my room unless absolutely necessary. we have many maids and butlers, so feel free to ask them about any concerns. second, i really don’t give a shit.” he blurted out, making you choke on your spit.
“what?” you gasped.
“you don’t understand basic english? i said, i don’t give a shit. you’re free to do whatever you please with yourself, you could go wherever you want with whomever you want. your life doesn’t concern me nor should mine concern you. we didn’t marry each other out of love, nor do we consider each other as husband and wife. just don’t make things too obvious. deal?” he stuck out a hand, looking at you with anticipation.
“you got yourself a deal, prince jackass.” you stood up and began to make your way to your room.
all you wanted to do was just sleep everything away. you wanted to drift inside a good dream where there was no mom or dad, no izana, no royal duties and no sadness.
just you and only you.
...
you rolled around in bed, not wanting to open your eyes and have the bright sunlight hit your sight and blind you. but, soon enough, someone barged into your room and it nearly sent you into a coma.
you eyes went wide as you sat up, startled when you saw a few of the maids coming in. you grumbled under your breath, looking at them with a pissed facial expression.
“god, don’t you people know how to knock?” you scolded, making them apologize as you let out a sigh.
“it’s past lunchtime, your highness.” one of them informed you, making you look at them like they had three heads.
“what?!” you screamed, sitting up as your hair was a tangled mess. you were still in your wedding dress, too tired the night before to even have the energy to take it off.
“your bath is ready and breakfast has been served as well. lord kurokawa has gone out for royal duties if you were wondering.” the butler from yesterday butted in, making you scoff.
lord kurokawa? what an arrogant asshole.
“yeah to hell with him, i don’t care where he is.” you yawned, getting up as you shooed everyone out of your room. you hated noise, especially during mornings.
mornings were meant to be peaceful and silent, relaxing and slow. they were only meant for you and only you. you stripped out of the poofy gown before detangling your hair and removing the remaining makeup smudged on your face.
when you stepped inside the bathroom, a gasp of nothing but pure amazement and shock left your lips. it was a gorgeous bathroom, everything covered in marbel and polished. the bathtub looked like a swimming pool, making you quickly rush over to fill it up with hot water.
as you sunk your naked body in the water, a blissful sigh left your lips as your eyes rolled back.
this really hits the spot.
you leaned back, closing your eyes as you began to fall into deep thought. you wondered, how would you spend the rest of your days in this castle? a part of you wished that izana was a little more friendlier, then perhaps you could’ve had a platonic relationship of enjoying life.
well, that wasn’t that case, and maybe you liked it that way.
you finished your royal bath and the rest of the consisted of you lounging in the castle. you had to admit that izana’s criteria and choice of the cooks had to be one of the finest, as both breakfast and lunch almost made you ascend to heaven.
living away from your parents did rise some perks, and to make things even better, izana wasn’t around majority of the times. you were free to dress however you wished, no need for fancy dresses that squished your ribcages and made it hard to breathe.
for once in your life, you were sitting in the living room with a huge bucket of ice cream in your lap while wearing a pair of shorts and tank-top.
and no one could tell you shit about it.
you heard the front door open, indicating that someone has arrived home. one of the maid’s rushed to your side as you shoved a huge mouthful of the sweet dairy treat in your mouth.
“your highness, lord kurokawa has arrived.” she notified, making you lazily hum at her as you were more concerned about the plot of the drama you’re watching.
“cool.” you shrugged before shooing her away, not caring that your fake husband came back from his royal duties.
“is dinner ready?” the deep familiar voice questioned the butler who was removing his very expensive winter coat.
“yes, sir. allow me to help you freshen up.” the butler offered, making izana hum in agreement.
“god, do you wipe his ass after he takes a shit too?” you snickered, making the butler gasp as he looked at you with wide eyes. however, izana remained unfazed before turning to you with a small smirk.
“oh, that’s not his job but my wife’s. however, it seems like she’s too busy being a pig.” he fired back, making you shoot him a hateful glare.
“annoying piece of shit.” you mumbled under your breath before averting your focus back onto the huge tv screen. izana left to freshen up before sitting in the dining space, eating by himself.
you couldn’t help but feel a little bad for him, knowing that he lived inside this castle by himself all his life and did pretty much everything alone. you didn’t know much about the kurokawa family, but you knew that izana was the last person in the bloodline to exist because his family was brutally murdered years ago in a war that nearly killed your father.
your thoughts would soon be gone as you saw the man right in front of you, arms crossed over his chest.
“go to bed, every electrical device that makes noise in this castle must be turned off. i have very sharp ears, so even the slightest sound will awaken me.” izana ordered, making you scoff.
“well, i’m so sorry sleeping beauty, but that seems like a you problem. shove some cotton balls in your ears and go to sleep.” you replied, seeing his jaw lock in annoyance, making you internally high-five yourself.
“you’re infuriating.” he grumbled, turning his heels before heading upstairs to his room. you laughed to yourself in satisfaction, throwing a few more popcorns in your mouth as you continued to watch your show.
---
you groaned in pain, rolling over until you fell to the ground with a yelp. you winced in pain as you rubbed your ass.
“fucking hell.” you cursed, not realizing when you fell asleep on the sofa. you heard a chuckle coming from behind you, opening your sleepy eyes to see the white haired fool sipping his tea while laughing.
“i knew that was gonna happen, you stupid little girl.” izana shook his head in disbelief, continuing to fill out some paperwork. you stood up and marched your way towards him, glaring down at him.
“you absolute jackass. this is why no woman would ever fall in love with you, stupid piece of shit.” you threw insult after insult at him, yet he seemed unfazed by your comments.
“what a rough way to start your morning. you should go brush your teeth to get that bad breath and language out of your mouth.” he smirked, making you gasp in embarrassment as you covered your mouth, forgetting that morning breath exists.
“i hope you choke on your tea and die.” you said in a muffled voice, rushing up to your room to freshen up so that you could give him a proper piece of your mind. but, to your dismay, by the time you came downstairs he was already gone.
“coward.” you mumbled to yourself, settling down at your seat as the maids served you breakfast. you decided that you’ll have an outing to yourself today at the village, wanting to experience an adventure you never got the chance to fulfill.
“excuse me, would you please drop me off by the village today after breakfast?” you asked izana’s butler, to which he gave you a polite smile.
“it would be my pleasure.” he replied, making you contented with the answer as you finished your meal.
you decided to dress in common clothing, a simple white dress that fell below your knees; decorated with strawberries.
“you look lovely, my lady.” the butler complimented, and you thanked him, excited to try new things out.
after reaching the village, you bid the butler goodbye as he promised to pick you up before sunset.
your first stop was the flower shop, eyes glimmering at the colorful plants. there was roses, dhalias, petunias, marigolds and so much more!
“hello miss, how may i help you today?” the lady spoke, startling you a little.
“your flowers are gorgeous! may i take a smell?” you asked, the lady giving you a warm smile before nodding.
you went ahead and took a sniff of every one of them, sighing in bliss at the sweet scent of each of them. nature’s creation was truly heavenly and it made you wish if you could just run away to the woods and live in a cottage; away from the evil that resided in society.
your eyes fell on the lilacs, sitting ever so prettily in the bouquet. you couldn’t help but think of how the color struck you and made you think of your evil husband.
“would you like to buy any of them?” the lady asked and you nodded you head.
“i’ll take those lilacs, please.” you said with a small smile, convincing yourself that it was because these pretty purple flowers would look great in the vase on top of the dining table.
your next stop was to try all the food stalls, looking at your pocket watch and noticing how it was nearly lunch time. you decided to indulge yourself, ordering a bowl of seafood udon for yourself and a side of braised duck meat.
your parents would’ve killed you if they saw you eating like this.
but right now, food is life.
you ate to your heart’s happiness, closing your eyes as you could feel tears of joy forming at the corner of your eyes. you’ve never tasted food this delicious before and it made you appreciate yourself for keeping your will to live still strong.
you slurped the noodles like no tomorrow, gulping down the broth right after. you lipstick was gone, the corners of your mouth messy with the broth as you sniffled from the heat of the food. you quickly cleaned yourself up, not wanting to look like a pig in front of other although you did eat like one just now.
you properly disposed the items and continued your little journey.
suddenly, a weeping little toddler clung onto your legs. you bent down, trying to level your eyes with her glossy ones.
“mama?” she cried, making your heart shatter.
“did you lose her, honey?” you spoke with a soft voice, seeing the little girl nod her head. you embraced the tiny human, carrying her as you tried to calm her down.
“let’s go find your mama then.” you smiled, patting her back as you began to walk around with the little girl in your arms.
“ice cream!” you heard her squeal, amking you hum as your eyes followed the direction she pointed in.
“oh, you want one?” you asked, to which she eagerly nodded, making you chuckle as you walked towards the small shop. you got the little girl a strawberry cone while you got mango.
“so yummy.” she giggled, making your heart swell from her cuteness. you were walking towards the small flower garden, wanting to take a little break and finish your ice cream.
until you noticed a familiar figure sitting on the bench with another person. you got a closer look and indeed it was izana.
with another woman.
you saw him holding her hand while laughing, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she giggled. they both were sharing a slice of cake and you saw the way his eyes sparkled every time she breathed.
was he always this sweet? how he tenderly caressed her skin like she was porcelain.
a foreign emotion of jealousy brewed inside you, a sudden wave of rage filled your insides. it was then that izana’s eyes fell on you, his smile dropping as he saw you with the child in your arms.
“y/n?” he called out your name, and it sent chills down your spine as it felt so new to hear him call you without any insult.
“izana.” you said his name back, making him swallow harshly.
“do you both know each other?” the woman next to him asked, she looked and smelled like a princess, when you looked like a commoner. izana’s eyes begged you to make up some lie, to which you gave him a sly grin.
“why of course we do, right izana?” you taunted, making the silver haired male grow nervous.
“honey, i can explain.” izana turned to the woman, but she looked suspicious.
“there’s nothing to explain. we’re cousins, that’s all. stop making everything so weird all the time.” you giggled, making your very much husband sigh in relief, not wanting his mistress to find about his little secret marriage.
“ohh, nice to meet you. is that your daughter?” his mistress asked, and you contemplated on being truthful, but you wanted to spite izana more.
“yup, this is my little princess. isn’t she the cutest?” you kissed the little girl’s head, making the woman squeal. izana’s eyes widened, not expecting you to lie like this.
“she sure is! wow, you’re so young to be a mom though.” she commented, making fake sad eyes.
“yeah, well, my husband loves me enough to give me such a precious gift. anyways, i should head back now. it was, uh, great meeting you.” you gave her a fake smile before throwing a side glare at izana. the expression on his face is one you couldn’t decipher, but you decided to not pick on it.
you walked a good distance away from the horrid couple, until you felt the little girl squirm in your hold.
“mama! mama!” she urged and you placed her on the ground, watching her run to the figure in the distance.
“oh, my baby!” you heard the lady cry, picking up her daughter a kissing her lovingly.
“thank you so much for keeping her safe, miss.” she noticed your presence, giving you a grateful smile.
“no worries.” you nodded your head, ruffling the little girl’s hair before bidding them goodbye.
---
you reached home, your mood not as uplifting as you had planned. you kicked your sandals off, walking towards the dining table as you placed the lilacs down. one of the maids rushed in, excited to see the bright and beautiful purple flower.
“are these for lord kurokawa?” she asked, making you scoff. the thought of izana made your blood boil, especially after the shitshow that took place earlier.
“no, you may dispose those in the garbage. i don’t want to see a single petal on my sight.” you strictly ordered, grabbing your purse to make your way up to your room. there you bumped into izana, who seemed like he’s been standing there the entire time.
“move, fuckface.” you grumbled, shoving him to the side as you stormed upstairs. you felt him grab your wrist, turning your head to meet his lilac ones.
“the hell is wrong with you? why are you acting like i’m diseased?” his eyebrows furrowed, making you roll your eyes.
“say what you have to say because i want to rest.” you ignored his question, making him let out an irritated sigh.
“since you already know about mai, i don’t think i need to explain myself further-”
“oh, don’t worry. i think i have enough brain cells to piece together that the almighty lord kurokawa has a side bitch.” you snickered, making him glare at you.
“watch your mouth.” he scoweled, making you grin.
“make me.” you challenged, watching him ball his fists as your words made his skin crawl.
“you know what, i don’t even know why i thought i could have a simple conversation with you without wanting to murder you. your parents invited us for dinner this weekend, so act accordingly.” izana informed you before leaving, heading back downstairs.
“got it! i’ll make sure that they don’t find out about your secret fuck buddy lover that you’re two-timing with, lord kurokawa.” you said in a mocking voice, knowing how much he probably wanted to kill himself right now because you wouldn’t let him hear the end of it.
you didn’t know why the situation with izana and his mistress got you so riled up.
you knew that he’s not in love with you nor are you in love with him.
yet, the idea of him with another woman made you furious.
