All of Spring 2022 papers are due in about 21 hours.

I have one 15 page thing left to cobble together and flesh out from the 7 pages of chaos I have right now.

The 20 page thing is mostly done, except for making the prof's particular lens of analysis extremely clear in every section, and doing the works cited page.

The 25 page thing is done except the godawful works cited page and a last pass of is this on topic, I think so.

I'm basically living on mineral water, granola bars, cheese sticks, and some weird pickles I found and had delivered from Target.

Go to graduate school, they said. Become a doctor, they said. You're so smart so it'll be easy for you, they said. You'll research interesting things and teach interesting classes and talk to interesting people, they said.

February 9, 2023 - Today I completed two assessments I needed to complete for my fellowship. It took me a couple hours and some of the questions made me feel like I wasn’t doing enough. And I just get frustrated with things asking me to do long term thinking when life feels so uncertain to me. Might just be the depression.

I just had some lunch and I think I’m going to take a nap with my dog. When I wake up, I’m going to work on a research statement and CV for this completion fellowship application.

I had a great thought today:

The reason why I struggle practicing consistently is the same reason I struggle with doing dishes, doing laundry, etc:

In my ADHD brain there's not enough dopamine for completing the task (practicing, dishes, etc) so it's hard for me to initiate doing that task again the next time.

Started a star chart for practicing and assignments, let's hope it works.

Dissertation work sucks

I have 5 weeks to submit the first two chapters of my dissertation, if not I can't apply to internship. The ADHD mixed with the stress makes this an uphill battle. On top of that I gotta complete 70 intervention hours in order to qualify to centers of interest. I'll probably be using this to blog to vent about this upcoming month.

Anyone else relating to this stress?

Selfie and life update?

Really haven’t taken many selfies but these are from the last like week and a half!

I live in Illinois now, and I just finished my 1st year of my doctorate in horn performance at UIUC where I’m also the studio TA! Continuing to get tattoos when I can, as always.

Im turning 25 in less than a month!

Also as you can see a little on my page, I’m almost certainly ADHD and autistic and just need to get an official diagnosis as many of us do lol.
