#don't mind me i'm just coming to a whole revelation over here it's fine
Note
wibta if i didn't invite my (or my fiance's) parents to our "wedding"?
neither of our parents are abusive or anything-- they're all fine supportive parents. however this is a shotgun wedding, planned on very short notice for reasons i won't get into here. originally it was just going to be me (26F), him (26M) and two of his friends (20s M/NB) as witnesses in the woods signing a document and then we'd all go party in a lake. however, my best friend from my home country (26F) turns out to be coming to this country on an unrelated trip on the same date, so we invited her too. so in total, five people signing papers and jumping in a lake
the problem is that my mum is going to be in this country during the elopement, so when i mentioned inviting my friend (who will be traveling with my mum) my mum also asked to come. furthermore, partner wants to invite his siblings over after the ceremony bc they live nearby, so his parents want to come too now.
i'm scared that this level of family involvement and the quantity of people now coming is going to turn it, against my will, into a Whole Thing. the sort of Thing were we'll have to organise proper accommodation and catering and an actual ceremony of some sort. my mum would be coming from a different state and need accommodation at the very least. i'm scared of the future in-laws being there bc partners' parents in particular are quite society-minded and like doing things "properly" and i don't want to feel like they're judging me for eloping with their firstborn in the middle of a forest. like, we're probably going to get married in 8th century danish garb and have a nupital swordfight, they would think that is so weird. on top of it all my dad is still in my home country and i'm extremely close with him, so i'd feel wrong and guilty if everyone got to be there except with him. (we do not have the money for him to also come over)
on the other hand, i know that it's a huge deal when your kid gets married and they'd WANT to be there. and both his parents and mine have been extremely supportive of us. but idk how to explain this isn't our "real" wedding (we'll have an actual ceremony later) and more of a political elopement. plus hospitality is a value of mine so if we did invite our parents i'd feel very anxious to provide catering and accommodation that i frankly just can't afford to pay for. idk, i just feel like if our parents were there i'd spend the entire ceremony feeling anxious and ashamed and judged, rather than reveling with my partner and close friends. but i don't want to make my mum or his parents feel like i dont care about them.
so, wibta for excluding our parents from our shotgun wedding?
What are these acronyms?

Good Stuff: The Super Mario Bros Movie
Tumblr media
A fan shouldn't always sugarcoat it. Even if you get something you never figured you'd ever want but appreciate a lot, that doesn't mean a bias should bury any deeper feelings. What I'm getting at is Illumination's Super Mario Bros Movie can be so awesome and it was worth going to the theaters to see personally, but I can't get over the crippling flaw it has to say it was as great as I could say now. Better to be honest now than get increasingly unfulfilled later. First, though, I gotta give the props where they are due.
Tumblr media
First, Bowser was The Best in this and I want him
For real, the animation was what I waiting for this whole time, no problems here. The film is fun. If it wasn't fun, that means Disney would've made it and it'd never come out anyways because of "creative differences". Illumination I found can make animations that are really bouncy fun, and it's best shown here. Plus the characters look incredible, DK especially, and there are moments where, in the best way, it felt like a cutscene from a video game I would want to play. Not to snipe at the Sonic movies, but this is seriously what I've wanted from video game movies since... Angry Birds 2? Like enough with the hybrid live-action crap, make a cartoon if the sourced game is about a CARTOON universe. "You mean like Ratchet & Cla-"
Tumblr media
We do not... talk about that one.
This leads to something tricky I had in mind to discuss, and that's "faithfulness". Not long ago I watched the 1993 Mario Bros movie, a fiasco that one can argue was unfaithful to most of the source materials even with the few things they got right. Did we get something more suitable here? Well, I definitely wasn't annoyed with the fucking stupid discourse surrounding Peach's characterization and Mario's voice that's for sure. Many will cite this as having a great fuckton of references but I enjoyed the liberties they took whether or not they were references. The fact it starts out in Brooklyn made me already smile but the final act had my booty jiggle with unhinged glee. There's some corniness to it, especially with the certain musical needle drops they do, but even then it felt like they reveled in the corniness of those moments. This made me believe Nintendo and Illumination were looking to just make it excitable and enjoyable regardless of what fits where. It pains me though, knowing that there is that crippling flaw I mentioned at the beginning because while this film was fun, it went by fast. Ludicrously so... disjointedly so.
Tumblr media
It was the Apex Cinema Speedrun, if you will
Many negative reviews claim this has a very thin plot and I honestly didn't consider that a wholly bad thing. A thin plot doesn't mean it wasn't cohesive or focused, or that there weren't any arcs to be had. The real problem comes in that certain moments don't feel earned when we barely get any time to cherish them. The pacing of this was kinda atrocious, the tight runtime truly being a detriment behind ideas for characters getting brought up well only to have shallow payoffs. Peach and Luigi especially had something about them I wanted to see more of, but before you got to see the plant blossom, they keep chugging and you're like "Ah, that's it?" They didn't need to spell everything out but let the characters breathe.
Tumblr media
Bowser and DK felt like the exception
If this was the only movie we ever got again (knocking on wood), the fun of it all would soon subside for increased disappointment in the long run. I could say "This needs more movie" as a compliment, but that would mean I was fine with what we got. The live-action film, batshit as it was, felt consistent with everything it wanted to show and tell whether or not you saw the director's cut. That's why it became a cult hit, you remember how batshit it was. I genuinely enjoyed the film, but even with its many stand-out moments, it's gonna be hard to remember this film as much as I want to.
Tumblr media
Except for Lumalee, I don't ever wanna forget them
I won't tout this overall as mid or "playing it safe" because they did so much right with this. When I say they stuck the landing with the Mario brothers themselves, that genuinely got to me. When we got the adventure, I relished the adventure. Like for the love of god, give me more of all this PLEASE! However, I won't give it a pass and call it perfect just because it tickled the Nintendo fan in me. Illumination's great when it comes to being in the moment, that's why I stopped hating on them, but in terms of their films having staying power this being a Mario film is carrying it hard from being a potentially forgettable one. For me, this is the movie adaptation of the Super Mario Super Show I never knew I wanted but looked forward to and felt was worth it. At the same time, my mind is fighting my heart strong knowing this Mario movie could've definitely been stronger. My final say is that it's a 6/10 movie with 10/10 moments. If you're looking for fun, this delivers no doubt, and don't let this review stop you from calling it a personal masterpiece.

Friends in strange Places Ch. 6 Pt 2
What if Vlad was good instead of evil? Link to chapter 1:
Friends in Strange Places Chapter 1, a danny phantom fanfic | FanFiction
FANFICTION.NET
Summary: Vlad comes over to The Fenton's house for the first time since telling Jack and Maddie about his ghost half and Tucker asks Valerie out on a date.
Word Count: 8600
--------------------------------------------------
It was Danny's turn to do the dishes after supper that night.
"I'll wash, you dry tonight?" Maddie offered as Jazz went upstairs to study while Jack headed down to the lab.
"Sure." Danny said, setting the pile of plates he was carrying in the dish water.
Danny watched as his mom scrubbed a plate.
"So how was school today?"
During drama class, no one had noticed that some ghost with floofy pants that only spoke in iambic pentameter had shown up instead of Trevor that day. Danny had spent the next hour struggling to find a way to suck their Romeo into The Fenton Thermos without anyone noticing.
"Pretty average." he shrugged.
"That's good to hear." Maddie smiled.
Danny watched her scrub a plate.
He thought about the conversation they'd had in the helicopter. He'd said he'd tell her what was going on soon.
That had been months ago.
He could tell her now.
The thought made Danny's heart speed up dramatically.
"Are you keeping up with your homework alright?" Maddie asked "We haven't had any calls from Mr Lancer lately, but I know you had that rough patch at the start of the year."
"Don't worry, I've been doing better. Jazz has been giving me study tips." Danny responded mechanically.
"I'm glad to here that." Maddie smiled "I know how much of an adjustment high school can be. I'm glad you at least have Jazz to show you the ropes. Ugh, I don't know how your father always gets so much cheese stuck on his plate." Maddie rolled her eyes as she grabbed the scouring pad.
Danny's mind was too occupied to pay attention to what Maddie was saying.
He couldn't tell his mom he was half-ghost while they were doing the dishes. That was way too big a bombshell to just drop like that. Besides, it was probably better to tell her and Dad at the same time, get the revelations all out of the way at once.
Danny sighed to himself.
It was logical reasoning, but Danny still felt like a coward. He wanted so badly to tell them, to just get it over with, but it never felt like the right time.
His mom handed him the wet plate to dry.
"Did I tell you Vlad's stopping by tomorrow?" she said.
Danny almost dropped the plate.
"R-really?"
"Yup. Sometime around four, he said."
"O-oh. Th-that's...cool." Danny didn't notice that he was drying the air above the plate instead of the plate itself.
"Are you alright, Sweetie?" Maddie raised an concerned eyebrow.
"Huh? Oh yeah, fine, fine, totally fine. I was just wondering, um..." Danny rubbed the back of his neck "Do you think it might be kind of awkward with you three? You know, with the whole, finding-out-Vlad-has-ghost-powers thing?"
"Oh don't be silly, Danny." Maddie laughed as she handed Danny another plate.
"It's not weird for you and Dad? You know, since you're ghost hunters?"
"Vlad's not a ghost Danny, he's our friend. I mean, sure, none of us expected...this to happen, but your father and I can adjust. I mean, we did choose a career path where one has to be prepared to deal with the unexpected, so we've been managing our mindset."
Danny's mind flashed to that night in the kitchen when he'd seen his mother sobbing with her face buried in her hands, his dad's arms wrapped around her.
Now she spoke so collectedly it was hard for Danny to believe he was talking to the same person.
"That being said," she continued "Things are really going to depend on Vlad's comfort level."
"What do you mean?" Danny asked.
"You saw how he was at the end of the trip, Danny. The poor dear had himself tied up in knots for years, worried about how Jack and I would react to his ghostly properties." Maddie sighed "I do have sympathy for him, of course, but sometimes I just can't believe he honestly thought we'd turn on a friend like tha- GHOST!"
In an instant, Maddie whipped out an ecto blaster and shot at the plate she'd just pulled out of the sudsy water. Danny instinctively ducked and pulled the dishtowel over his head as the ecto blast bounced around the room a few times before dissipating.
"Ope, never mind, that was just a weirdly shaped guacamole smudge." Maddie laughed as she put away her blaster and continued scrubbing the plate. "Anyway, I suppose we'll have to tread a little carefully tomorrow, but I'm sure things will go smoothly once we get everything out in the air."
"That's great to hear, Mom." Danny said, clutching the dishtowel around his head.
--------------------------------------------------
"So did you tell them yet?" Sam asked as soon as she saw Danny approaching their table.
"Couldn't you at least wait for me to sit down?" Danny said as he took the seat across from her.
"Okay, you're sitting now, did you tell them yet?"
"Sam!" Danny threw back his head in exasperation.
"So that's a 'no'?"
Danny rolled his eyes.
"I haven't told them yet, and I don't know when I'm going to, but I'm stressed out enough without you pressuring me!"
"Okay, okay, I'll stop asking." Sam relented "But don't you think we should at least start discussing the plan?"
"The plan?"
"You know, like when you want to do it, who you want to be there, that sort of thing."
"Uh..." Danny's brain completely blanked "I think I'll just figure all that out later."
"You know, it might help your stress levels to at least start to get a plan in place."
Danny didn't agree. Just thinking about telling his parents made him feel queasy.
"Do you want Tucker and me to come over some night? Would that help?"
"I don't know." Danny couldn't keep the irritation out of his voice "Why are you even so invested in this Sam? I thought you were against me telling my parents at all."
Sam took a deep breath, gathering patience. Couldn't Danny see she was trying to be supportive?
"Danny, it may not be what I'd do in your shoes, but I know this is important to you, and you seem pretty stressed out about it, so we're just trying to help. Tucker, back me up here."
But Tucker wasn't paying attention to the conversation. His eyes were locked on the empty seat by Sam.
"Valerie not joining us today?" he asked.
"Doesn't seem like it." Danny shrugged.
Sometimes Valerie would join the trio for lunch, but most days she went to the library to do homework. She said she liked to have it out of the way in case there was a ghost attack after school.
The idea of not having any homework after school did seem pretty sweet, but Danny didn't know how a person could stand seven straight hours of school without a break. The idea made his brain melt.
"Ah. Well," Tucker stood up "I'm gonna go now. I've got something I needed to do before lunch ends. See you two later!"
Tucker grabbed his bag and headed for the cafeteria exit.
"I see he left his tray for us to take back." Danny remarked.
"Thanks Tucker." Sam rolled her eyes "Any idea where he was going?"
"Uh...nope!" Danny thought about the conversation he and Tucker had the other night "No idea!"
"Hm." Sam was too occupied watching Tucker leave to notice Danny's terrible acting skills. "Well, while it's just us, I wanted to ask you for a favour."
"What's up?" Danny was glad for the change in topic, but he had learned a long time ago to not say 'yes' to Sam's favours until she told you what they were.
"Don't tell Tucker I'm aro."
"Aro?"
"It's short for aromantic."
"Oh. Yeah, sure no problem. I'd never tell anyone something like that without permission. If anyone understand- wait, do you like, specifically not want Tucker to know?"
"Yup."
That was weird. Sam was usually very open about her identity. You didn't have to talk to her long to find out she was an 'ultra-recyclo vegetarian'. Or what that was. In great detail.
"Why?"
"Because discovering this about myself has been really eye opening. So many things have clicked into place and I really feel like I understand myself and the world a lot better now that I know I'm aro."
"Okay, what's that got to do with Tucker?"
"Look, Tucker's my friend, but this is very important to me, and I know he wouldn't take it seriously."
"People taking you seriously never stopped you from sharing your views before. Very loudly, might I add."
"It's not my fault if people can't handle the dark inconvenient truths of this world. But this is different. It's not a debatable opinion or a style choice, it's an unchangeable part of who I am. If Tucker tried to turn this into a joke, I might strangle him with his own beret, and I feel like you'd be pretty sad if your best friend got murdered."
Despite Sam's joking, Danny couldn't help but take what she was saying very seriously. He knew Sam and Tucker weren't getting along the best right now, but apparently both of them had decided to start keeping things from the other.
When had things gotten so bad?
"Tucker would take this seriously if you told him how important it is to you." Danny insisted.
"Yeah right. He never takes anything seriously." Sam flipped over a piece of lettuce with her fork "Besides, he's probably itching to get back at me for teasing him about Valerie so much."
"What? I don't think he cares that much."
"He seemed to care a lot when he tried to goad me in the RV."
"Well if you're really worried about that, maybe you should apologize to him." Danny suggested.
"Come on Danny, you know how Tucker is." Sam said, stabbing some vegetables onto her fork "He'd just turn my apology into a joke like he does with everything."
"Okay one, he doesn't turn everything into a joke, and two, I'm literally a ghost and your favourite colours are black and dark black. Can you blame Tucker for wanting to lighten things up a little?"
"I like purple too." Sam grumbled.
"Look, I've known Tucker a long time, and I know sometimes he doesn't think about what he says, but his heart's in the right place, and if you just talked to him directly and told him he was bothering you in some way, he will listen."
"Sure Danny." Sam said as she took a bite of her salad.
Danny sighed. Why'd he have to be friends with the two most stubborn people on the planet?
"Can you just think about it?" he asked "You two are friends. You really should have a little more faith in each other."
"Yeah, I'll mull it over." Sam said.
She didn't sound totally sarcastic. Dany supposed that was a start.
"So," Sam said "Did you remember to bring in your book report?"
"That's due today? I thought Lancer said Friday!"
"No, it was definitely today."
"Oh man, oh man," Danny began digging through his bag "I still have to write the conclusion!"
"Okay that's not too bad," Sam said, handing Danny a pencil "There's ten minutes of lunch left, you can get something passable if you hurry."
--------------------------------------------------
Tucker checked around the doorframe to the library again, silently debating whether or not he should go in.
On one hand, he didn't want to interrupt Valerie's study session to ask her out. He knew how annoyed he got when people interrupted him when he was working. Not to mention whisper-asking someone out wasn't the most romantic gesture.
On the other hand, Valerie might stay in the library up to the last second of lunch, so if he waited much longer he might not have enough time to properly ask her.
Tucker sighed as he checked his watch. Maybe it would be better to do this another-
"Hey Tucker." Valerie said, emerging from the library "What are you skulking outside the library for?"
"Valerie! Just the girl I wanted to see!"
Tucker was relieved to see Valerie, but it didn't last long when he remember why he'd wanted to see her alone in the first place.
"Oh yeah?" she said.
"Yeah, I um," Tucker cleared his throat "I had something I wanted to ask you."
"What's up?"
"I was just wondering if you maybe wanted to um...maybe go out sometime. With me."
"You mean...like a date?"
"Uh, yeah. I mean, i-if you're interested, that is. Like, no pressure or anything." Tucker adjusted his glasses.
"That..." Valerie smiled "Yeah. I would like to do that."
"Really?" Tucker felt his heart leap in his chest.
"Yeah. I'm don't have anything I need to do today. Wanna meet up at seven?"
"Yeah!" Tucker beamed "That sounds great."
"Cool. I, uh, I'd better get to class. See you then!"
Valerie waved and quickly walked away so Tucker wouldn't see how wide she was smiling.
Tucker waited until Valerie was all the down the hall. Once he was sure she was too far away to hear, he let out whoop and pumped his fist in the air.
"She said yes!" he squealed "She actually- I'd better get to class." Tucker cut off his own celebration "Ms Ramos probably wouldn't that I was just got a date with Valerie."
Tucker started running down the hall, his heart doing little skips all the way to fourth period.
--------------------------------------------------
"Hey Mom! Dad!" Danny called as he shut the door "We're home!"
"Oh, hey kids!" Maddie called back "We're down in the lab! Would you two mind joining us?"
Jazz and Danny looked at each other before starting down the basement stairs. When they got to the lab, they saw their parents putting some devices into a cardboard box. More boxes were piled on the floor next to them.
"What's with all the boxes?" Jazz asked.
"Well, since Vlad's coming over today," Maddie said "We figured we'd move some of our more...sensitive equipment into the garage and out of the house."
"Really?" Danny's eyes lit up.
"Yup." Jack nodded "We'll bring 'em back to the lab after Vlad leaves, of course. But while he's here we'll keep them out of his vicinity. For his comfort and safety."
"Oh."
Jazz glanced pityingly at the deflated Danny.
"Think we should add this to the box?" Jack held a glowing green rock up to Maddie.
"The ectoranium? Well, I hate to leave something so valuable out in the garage, but our research indicates it can be excruciatingly painful for ectoplasmic entities to touch, so we'd better not risk."
"That's a good point Madds. Oh, I know! Danny! Take this to Ops Center! It'll be more secure there!"
"Uhhhh..." Danny stared at the rock his dad was holding out to him.
"Oh, don't worry about what your mother said son," Jack waved his free hand "Ectoranium only hurts ghosts!"
"Yes! But," Jazz lunged forward and grabbed the rock from her dad "Danny's just sooo tired from school. He can't carry this all the way up to the Ops Center. Just look at those noodly arms."
"Hey!" Danny said.
"But honey," Maddie said, perplexed "You, um...both went to school today."
"Yeah, well, Danny did this thing in gym class. It's, uh, a thing they make the freshmen do. You know, the ninth grade..."
Jazz gave Danny a look that said Please help, it's your skin I'm trying to save here!
"...run?" Danny lamely supplied.
Jazz gave him another look. This one said Seriously? That's the best you could come up with?
"Ninth grade run?" Jack scratched his chin "Well since it was only running, You should still be able to help us carry this stuff Danno."
Danny took a step towards the boxes, but froze when something started beeping.
"Uh, actually" Jazz said loudly "Running is an exercise that works the entire body, and The Ninth Grade Run isn't just a run! It's more of a triathlon, so Danny really shouldn't be carrying anything right now! Don't you two remember when I did The Run? All my muscles were sore for, like, a week!"
"Oh, are you feeling sore Danny?" Maddie asked sympathetically. "You don't have to help move stuff if you're not feeling up to it, Sweetie."
"Yup!" Danny said "Jazz's right, I'm really sore everywhere. Sorry I can't help move this stuff, but I'm going to go upstairs and rest for a bit. Um, ow, ow, ouch." Danny exaggerated a limp as he climbed the basement stairs.
--------------------------------------------------
Danny was sitting on his bed reading comics when he heard a knock on his door.
"Come in." He said.
The door swung open, revealing a disgruntled Jazz with globs of ectoplasm tangled in her hair.
"What-"
"Don't ask. Is The Fenton Scalp Scrubber in here?"
"Yeah," Danny picked up what looked like a hand vacuum with mini scrubbers all over it from his nightstand "That ghost Youngblood decided he was obsessed with paintball the last time I fought him. Except instead of paint, his shots were filled with compressed ectoplasm. Catch!"
"You owe me for this one." Jazz said, catching the device with one hand "Also 'Ninth Grade Run'? Was that seriously the best you could come up with?"
"Hey, you're the one who started the cover up story! You didn't really give me much to work with!
"I'll tell you one thing," The Scrubber buzzed as Jazz switched it on and began running it meticulously through her hair. "I'll be glad to finally not have to ad-lib these excuses anymore once you tell Mom and Dad. The only thing that makes me cringe harder than watching Mom and Dad fall for the nonsense I come up with is watching them fall for the nonsense you come up with. Speaking of, have you come up with a plan for telling them yet?"
"Er..." Danny held his comic up in front of his face "I'm still thinking."
"About..."
"Y'know...how to, like...tell them."
"You haven't thought about it at all, have you Danny?"
"I have thought about it. I'm just still trying to figure out when and how I want to do it."
"Danny, it's been well over a week."
"I mean, this is kind of a big thing, Jazz."
"I understand that, but I can't help but feel like you're putting this off. You do want to tell Mom and Dad, right?"
"Of course I do!"
"Then what's with the stalling?"
"I'm not stalling! I'm just trying to figure out the right way to do it."
"There's no perfect way to-"
"I never said it had to be 'perfect'." Danny threw his comic aside "Ugh, why does everyone keep bugging me about this? They're my ghost powers! I'll tell Mom and Dad when I'm ready."
"This affects the rest of us to, Danny." Jazz said "I know you have the most at stake, but we're all anxious about it. I'm not going to drag you downstairs and force you to tell Mom and Dad right this second, but I'm not leaving until we've discussed some sort of-"
Jazz was interrupted by sharp gasp from Danny, a tell-tale puff of mist escaping his mouth.
"Aw darn, a ghost, guess we gotta continue this conversation later." Danny shrugged as he transformed.
"Danny, you can't avoid facing this mental block forever. Even if you won't talk to me about it, at some point you have to sit down and ask yourself-"
"Gotta go! See you Jazz!" Danny yelled as he flew out the window.
"Jazz! Danny!" Jack called from downstairs "Vladdie's here! I saw him out the window! Come down and say hello!"
Jazz glanced at Danny's open window and sighed before heading downstairs to greet Vlad. That kid was quite the headache sometimes.
--------------------------------------------------
Angela Foley narrowed her eyes.
"Your teeth are brushed?"
"Yup."
"Glasses are clean?"
"Yup."
"You're sure that's what you want to wear?"
"Mom!" Tucker rolled his eyes "Valerie and I decided this would be a casual date."
"But it's still your first date, Honey." Angela straightened Tucker's beret "I'm so excited for you! I just want everything to go as smoothly as it can."
"And I appreciate that, I really do, but-"
Tucker was interrupted by the basement door flying open.
"Did he leave yet!?"
"No Maury, he's still here." Tucker's mom told his dad "But he was just about to. I told you he had to be gone by six thirty."
"I know, I know." Maurice shut the door and walked over to Tucker and Angela "I was at a critical juncture in my Enterprise model and I lost track of time. You know how it is with level fives. Anyway," Maurice dug in his pocket and handed Tucker a twenty dollar bill "Here's a little something to mark the occasion."
"Oh, cool! Thanks Dad."
"You're welcome Son." Maurice continued to smile, but his expression shifted to a more more businesslike one "Now, have a good time and make sure you treat Valerie right. And compliment her appearance at least once. I know you two aren't doing anything big, but if there's one thing I learned from my older sisters, it's that first dates are ripe for self-consciousness, especially in teenagers, so a little pick-me-up in that regard can go a long way. Speaking of, you're not looking too bad yourself, kiddo. I see you cleaned your glasses for the occasion, excellent. Always good to show you're putting in an effort, even if it's not a serious date. You know, I remember my first-"
"Ugh, not you too!" Tucker opened the front door "Look, I already sat through Mom fussing over me, and if I go through all that again with you, I know I'm going to be late, which is not how I want to start off my first date!"
Tucker swung the door shut behind him. Not five seconds passed before the door opened again and Tucker stuck his head back inside.
"That being said, I do appreciate how much you two try to support me and take an interest in my personal life, but I've really got to go now, so I love you and bye!"
Tucker slipped back out and shut the door for real this time, a bit more gently.
"They grow up so fast." Maurice wiped an imaginary tear from his eye "You remember your first date?"
"Timothy Matthews. Freshman year. Same age as Tucker. If that kid treats that lovely girl even remotely like Timothy treated me, I'll flay him alive."
"Come on Dear," Maurice laughed and put an arm around his wife's shoulder "You know he won't. That kid's got a good heart."
"I know." Angela put her hand on top of her husband's "We can just heat some leftovers for dinner tonight. Did you want any help with that model?"
"Absolutely." Maurice beamed.
--------------------------------------------------
Tucker knocked on the door. He gave his outfit one last lookover. It was just the same stuff he usually wore, since he and Valerie had agreed to keep this date low-key, but he'd still made sure to pick out a stain-free sweater and rip-free pants. It was still a date, after all.
The apartment door opened to reveal a very tall man. He gazed sternly down at Tucker.
"Um, hi," Tucker greeted him nervously "You must be Valerie's dad?"
"I Just want you to know young man," Damian Gray's voice was deep and threatening "That if you hurt my Valerie in any way, I will-"
"Come off it Daddy," Valerie pushed passed her dad with an 'over it' look on her face "You're not funny."
"Aw, Valerie." Damian's voice was suddenly much softer "You ruined it. I really had him going."
Valerie rolled her eyes, but she was smiling affectionately.
"Did you really think I was just going to stand there and let you scare my date away?" Valerie crossed her arms.
Tucker felt a small jolt of giddiness when Valerie referred to him as her date.
"No," Damian smiled back "I suppose I did raise you right. You kids enjoy yourselves. And be back by ten."
"Eleven?" Valerie smiled wide and fluttered her eyelashes.
"Ten thirty, and that's as good as you're gonna get Val. It's a school night."
"Fine. Love you Daddy."
"Love you too Babygirl. Have fun and be safe."
Damian closed the door, leaving Valerie and Tucker alone in the hallway.
"So," Tucker felt his cheeks heat up "We're going on a date. You and me. That's...that's pretty wild."
"Yeah." Valerie bashfully tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "So, where are we going?"
"I...uh...didn't think that far ahead." Tucker was instantly pulled back down to earth. How had he forgotten such and important detail? "We could...do a movie?"
"Eh...to be honest, a date where we sit there and don't talk for two hours doesn't really sound like the greatest first date."
"Huh, I never really thought about it like that. Why is a movie always the go-to first date on TV then?"
Valerie shrugged.
"Okay, we could...uh..." Tucker totally blanked.
This wasn't good. Despite being the one to ask her out, Tucker had no idea where would be a decent place to take Valerie on a date, and he was beginning to panic.
"You kids should go to bowling!" Damian called through the door "They've got snacks, and Valerie's a great-"
"Dad!" Valerie interrupted sharply.
"Sorry! I'll be quiet now."
There was an long moment of silence.
"Bowling does sound pretty good, actually." Tucker said "Amity Lanes does make pretty good hot dogs."
"You know what, why not?" Valerie smiled "I do like bowling, and it has been a while since-"
"See! I do have good ideas sometimes!"
"Dad!"
--------------------------------------------------
"Okay," Maddie turned to Jack, her hand on the door knob "Remember what we talked about."
"I know, I know," Jack waved his hand "No talking about ghosts or ghost powers until Vlad explicitly says he's comfortable with it."
Satisfied, Maddie opened the door.
"Hello Jack, Maddie." Vlad greeted them, formal as always. "It's wonderful to see you again."
"Hey Vladdie, come on in!" Jack wrapped his massive arm around Vlad's shoulder's and practically dragged him inside "And don't worry, we're not going to ask you any questions about your powers or even talk about ghost stuff until you say you're comfortable with it!"
Jack finished his sentence with what was probably intended to be a comforting smile.
Maddie facepalmed.
"That's...great to hear Jack." Vlad returned a smile that was much more strained.
"How about we go sit in the kitchen?" Maddie said, gently inserting herself between Vlad and Jack "I just put the kettle on."
"Yes, that sounds rather lovely."
Maddie didn't miss the stilted way Vlad spoke.
When they got to the kitchen, they found Jazz moving some books off the table and into her bag.
"Hello Jazz," Vlad greeted her "How have you been?"
"I've been good Mr Masters." Jazz swung her bag over her shoulder "Mom, Dad, I'm going to the library. Danny's in his room, sleeping. Do not wake him up. Enjoy you're visit."
She grabbed her keys and marched right past the adults and out of the house before anyone could respond.
"She's certainly...efficient." Vlad remarked.
"Well," Maddie said "Guess its just us. Ope, there's the kettle!"
"Have a seat Vladdie!" Jack said, sitting at the table as Maddie poured the boiling water into a teapot.
"Y-yes, of course." Vlad said, sitting down opposite Jack.
Maddie set the tray with the tea stuff down at the table.
"So Vladdie," Jack said "How ya been since we last saw you?"
"Oh, um, I've been well."
"That's good to hear." Jack smiled.
Despite his upbeat tone, Maddie could tell Jack was feeling the tension as much as she and Vlad were.
Maddie sighed to herself. She was trying to be sensitive, but if someone didn't address the elephant in the room, the whole visit was going to be this awkward.
"So, Vlad." she said, sitting down at the table "We didn't really get the chance to talk much after...after that ghost attack at your cottage."
"Oh," Vlad immediately tensed "I-I mean, well, you know-"
"Listen Vlad," Maddie cut off his rambling "I don't want to make you uncomfortable, but I really think it would be a good idea if we talked about it. Maybe cleared the air a little? If we're being honest, it's pretty much all Jack and I have been thinking about this past week, and I have a feeling you're in a similar boat."
"I mean," Jack said "I wasn't going to say anything, but she's not wrong V-man."
Vlad sighed and his posture slipped a little, a subtle surrender.
"Alright." he relented "What did you want to know?"
"Um, well..." Maddie glanced at Jack. His expression mirrored hers. Of course, they both had a million questions, but where to even start?
"So...this all happened to you because of the proto-portal accident in college?" Maddie said.
"Yes. That's correct."
"Right, right." Maddie nodded "You did say that back at the cottage."
"Yes. I did."
Maddie grasped her hand together tightly, unsure how exactly to proceed. That had been a pretty dumb question, and Vlad could definitely tell, but she was very aware how tense this conversation was, and she wanted to be careful with what she asked next, try not to go too fast and-
"So when did your ghost powers first show up? Was it right when you got to the hospital?"
Maddie's blood pressure spiked as Vlad flinched. She was torn between giving Vlad a comforting look and glaring at Jack. He wasn't an unkind person, quite the opposite, but sometimes he just did not think! Sure, someone needed to get the conversation going, but did Jack have to go right for the throat?
"Unless you don't want to!" Maddie added hurriedly.
"Oh yeah, you don't have to talk about it if...how does Jazz put it? 'It brings up too much trauma'." Jack nodded.
"We understand if it's too painful."
"No, no, it's...alright."
Vlad cleared his throat and shifted slightly in his seat.
"I can't remember exactly how many, but I'd only been checked into the hospital for a few days when my, erm, abilities first manifested."
"How did they manifest?" Sure, Maddie had just wanted to scold Jack for his pressing question, but he wasn't the only one who had trouble keeping the scientist at bay sometimes.
"Well, I'd been suffering from a fever that kept increasing in intensity as time went by, and...I'm not exactly sure how to explain it, but I suppose I reached some kind of breaking point eventually. I was forcibly transformed into my, er, ghost form and I let out an enourmous burst of plasma energy. Did quite a bit of damage."
"How did you avoid getting caught on the security cameras?" Jack asked.
"The hospital hadn't implemented cameras yet. Wasn't the most well-funded facility."
"Ah, I guess this was back before they all had them." Jack nodded.
"Yes. There was one nurse who witnessed the whole ordeal whom I feel quite bad for, though."
"Oh dear." Maddie put a hand over her mouth.
"Yes, he was a nice young man, but I played dumb and had him convinced he'd hallucinated the whole ordeal. Didn't really have an explanation for the damage to the room, but I doubt he even tried to tell his superiors it was because his patient had turned into a monster and blasted fire everywhere." Vlad sighed "I was acting in panic, but I do regret the way I dealt with him. If I ever do find that nurse again, I'll make sure explain things."
"But what about you?" Jack asked.
"Excuse me?"
"How were you doing when all that happened? You must have been scared out of your wits, Vladdie. All on your own...Maddie and I could've been there for you, you know! We tried! We really did!"
"Jack, I told you, I didn't tell anyone what had happened. I barely even knew what was going on."
"Yeah, but we could have figured it out together! You were just stuck in the hospital by yourself, scared half to death because of my goof up." There was a pain in Jack's voice Maddie rarely heard "Oh Vladdie, I knew my mistake had cost you, but...I never really knew just how much."
Vlad was stunned. Maddie reached over and put her hand on top of Jack's.
"Dear, you can't blame yourself. We all worked on that prototype." she said softly.
"Oh please Madds. We all know I have a bad habit of rushing into things. I try to be careful, but I just get so excited sometimes and don't think! Maybe if I'd just-"
"No Jack." Vlad spoke up "I knew the risks I was signing up for. We all did. We all knew how dangerous ghost research could be. Sure, none of us probably expected that becoming a ghost was a possibility, er, well, in this capacity at least, but I knew I wasn't signing up for a normal life when I decided to investigate the paranormal. Would you be angry at me if our positions were switched?"
Jack sniffled and wiped his face with his free hand.
"You know, I've really missed having you around Vladdie."
"And I've missed you two." Vlad hand tightened into a fist on the table "A lot."
There was brief silence as the three of them took it in: after so long, the gang was back together. They were far from as they were, but at least they finally together again.
"You know..." Jack tentatively broke the silence "I wanted to tell you the last time we met up, but I finished constructing The Ecto Catapult a few months ago."
"Y-you did?" Vlad raised an eyebrow, taken aback "But, why would you bother? That was just some silly idea we had in college."
"Maybe so, but it was really cool silly idea we had in college! Seeing you at the reunion again made me think about it, so one day I just decided to go ahead and build it!"
"Of course, it has just been collecting dust in the corner of the lab ever since." Maddie said "We never even got around to properly testing it out."
"You want to go down to the lab and see it?" Jack asked.
Vlad's eyes widened slightly.
"I...very much would."
--------------------------------------------------
"Fire!"
SPLAT!
Giant globs of ectoplasm were smeared all over the wall of The Fenton Containment Tank. Jack, Maddie, and Vlad had been down there for over an hour launching ectoplasmic samples of various sizes into the giant glass container.
"Interesting." Maddie said as she scribbled furiously into a notepad "The Ecto-Pult is consistently launching the ectoplasm with enough force to induce splatter, but no matter the weight of the load, the ectoplasm retains enough surface tension to sustain its mass!"
"Even the big pieces on the ceiling aren't dripping!" Jack said "We should've tried flinging ectoplasm at a wall ages ago! There's so much to observe!"
"It's a shame all our attempts to utilize ectoplasm as an effective adhesive have failed so far." Maddie lamented "Despite its incredible mucilaginous properties, it can be pulled apart by hand relatively easily."
"Yes, I've been down that road too," Vlad said "Despite it's incredibly unique structure, the most effective use for ectoplasm I've gleaned from my research is for anti-ghost measures. And energy supplication."
"Oh, we know. Jack and I have been experimenting getting the house running on nothing but ectoplasmic energy!" Maddie beamed.
"Er, that's rather...ambitious of you two." Vlad said, his brow knitting "Seems like there'd be a number of complications to consider, though."
"Eh, it's still only a hypothetical for now." Jack waved his hand "Now, let's see if we can learn anything else from flinging ectoplasm at a wall! Maddie! Grab a sample The Fenton Deep Freeze while I wind this baby back up!"
"Ooh! That'll be interesting!"
--------------------------------------------------
The two remaining pins sat at the end of the lane tauntingly.
This was a tricky shot. Tucker knew his aim had to be perfect to knock the last two pins down.
He pulled back, swung his arm, and let the ball go. He held his breath as it rolled down the lane...
...and sailed right down the middle of the split pins.
"Dang it!"
"Word of advice," Valerie smirked as she picked up a blue ball from the return "When you get a seven-ten, in-between the pins is the worst place to throw."
"I was trying a manoeuvre!" Tucker pouted as the remaining pins were knocked over by the pinsetter.
"Ah, yes, I see." Valerie nodded "Quite the manoeuvre."
"All right," Tucker said as the new pins were set up "Let's see you do better."
Valerie grinned. She carried her ball to the lane, took a stance, aimed, and threw, her whole body smoothly following the motion.
Tucker's jaw dropped as all of the pins went crashing down. Neon letters spelling out STRIKE scrolled across teh screen above them.
"How was that manoeuvre?" Valerie smirked.
"How'd you do that?" Tucker gaped as the fallen pins were swept away.
"I was on the bowling team in middle school. Shame Casper doesn't have one."
"I'll say!"
"Of course, I wouldn't really have time for bowling if there was a team, anyway."
"What do you mean?" Tucker asked.
"Well, you know, with the whole ghost fighting thing. Gotta be ready at any time."
"Hey, it's not all on you, you know." Tucker said as he lined up his next shot "The four of us are a ghost hunting team. There's always backups if one of us has stuff to do. For instance, Sam's got her poetry thing," Tucker threw his ball as hard as he could "And I play Yarg-A-Loo at the card shop on Mondays. One of us being absent has pretty much never been a problem. Just because we gotta catch ghosts sometimes doesn't mean we can't- NOOO!"
Tucker cried out as his ball rolled into the gutter. All he could do was watch in dismay as his ball sailed right past the pins.
"Ooh!" Valerie cringed "You sure you don't want me to ask them to turn on the kiddie bumpers?"
"Yes, I'm sure." Tucker grumbled.
They bowled many more rounds. Valerie managed to get four more strikes.
"Whoo!" Tucker pumped both fists into the air as he scored his first spare of the evening "Told ya I didn't need bumpers!"
"Nice one. Hey Tucker," Valerie checked her watch "How many frames we got left?"
"Frames?"
"Yeah, how many more are left? I wasn't really counting, but I feel like we should be at least getting close to ten."
"I...don't know."
"Haven't you been keeping score?"
"Keeping score? I don't know how to keep score."
"Isn't that what you've been doing on your PDA?"
"I was just keeping an eye on my messages in case a ghost decided to try to eat the roller rink, or something."
Tucker and Valerie stared at each other in silence for a few seconds before bursting out laughing.
"Y'know," Tucker said "I think at this point we can safely say you won."
"I mean, you're probably not wrong."
"Wanna call it and grab some hot dogs from the canteen?"
"That sounds great."
--------------------------------------------------
"...but then my mom realized she didn't have the cake!" Tucker was barely holding back laughter. This was one of his favourite stories to tell.
"Wait, but you just said she set in on the driveway to buckle you in, so- oh no!" Valerie covered her mouth in horror.
"Oh yes, my dad backed right over it!"
"No way! Your mom must've flipped!"
"Yeah, both my parents were freaking out. In the end, they went and bought a cake, and told me they'd buy me whatever Lego set I wanted as long as I pretended Mom made it. And that's how I got the Toa Lhikan Bionicle that's on my computer desk."
"Is that the gold one on the rhino?"
"It's a Kikanalo, thank you very much."
"Right, right," Valerie sarcastically patted Tucker's hand "How could I have made such a mistake?"
Tucker looked down. Valerie hadn't removed her hand from his. He looked back up at Valerie and smiled. It took Valerie a second to figure out what Tucker was smiling about, but she was soon smiling back at him.
Both of their cheeks began to flush.
"Here's your hot dog's!" The chipper voice of the server almost made Tucker and Valerie jump out of their seats. They kept their hands together, though.
Valerie recovered first.
"Oh, thanks!" she politely smiled at the server "It's been way too long since I've had one of these!"
"Yeah, there's just something special about Amity Lane's footlongs." Tucker agreed before picking up his hot dog with his free hand and taking a large bite.
Tucker watched Valerie put mustard on her hot dog with one hand. Even though he hadn't known her for quite as long, talking to Valerie felt as natural as talking to Danny or Sam.
And she trusted him too. Sure, she'd been pretty hesitant at first, but it didn't take long for her to see him as someone she could talk to, and Tucker was really flattered that she thought of him that way.
It made him want to share something personal with Valerie in return.
"Hey, I just wanted to say the other day at The Nasty Burger, when you told us you were bi, that was really cool."
"Oh. Um, yeah?" Valerie didn't remove her hand from Tucker's, but there was a hint of wariness in her voice.
"Yeah. And I do realize that might seem a little weird for me to bring up, but I've been thinking that I might actually...uh maybe be bi too." Tucker adjusted his glasses as he spoke.
"Wait," Valerie sat up straighter and her eyes widened "Really?"
"Uh, just maybe!" Tucker said quickly "Like, I get crushes on guys sometimes, but I'm still not really sure if they really count."
"What?" Valerie raised an eyebrow "What makes them not count?"
"I mean, I think in my whole life I've only liked, like three maybe four guys, but I've liked at least a million girls, so I'm definitely into girls, "
"Hey, it's not like someone's gonna arrest you for not liking enough boys. If you say you're bi, then you're bi."
"I don't know." Tucker swirled his pop with his straw. "Sometimes I just worry I'm taking something that isn't mine, ya know?"
"Oh no, some kid called himself bi when he might not technically follow the standard definition a hundred percent!" Valerie said in an exaggerated voice "This is robbing us of all our bi resources! We won't be able to add in a swimming pool at the clubhouse!"
"Well it sounds ridiculous when you put it that way..."
"There might be reason for that." Valerie said, the corner of her mouth cocking upwards.
"Yeah, yeah." "You're probably right. It still feels kind of weird. Calling myself 'bi', I mean. I think I like it, but I'm not a really a hundred percent sure."
"Give it time." Valerie said "You figure it out eventually."
"Danny said something like that, too." Tucker let his head flump onto the table "Why can't someone just tell me what's going on in my brain? This all just feels so needlessly complicated!"
"Trust me, it's worth it." Valerie patted Tucker's hand.
"Okay fine, I'll stop complaining. But you and Danny had better be right about this!"
Tucker lifted his head to see Valerie smiling down at him.
"What?" Tucker asked, smiling back.
"I've just never really had someone I could talk about this stuff with. I mean, I've got some cousins who'd probably be cool, but they don't live close enough for me to see them that often. And my old friends were...well, you know."
"That sounds rough. You know, Danny and Sam are pretty cool, if you ever want to talk with the group. Jazz too. Wait, I don't think you've ever met her. She's Danny's sister, and she gives really good advice."
"I'll keep that in mind, but I like talking with you."
"Because I'm a fellow bi?"
"No, it's because I like you."
"Oh." Tucker smiled as felt his cheeks go warm "I like you too. I like talking to you."
Valerie bashfully smiled back.
The tender moment was broken by what sounded like distant screaming.
"Did you hear that?" Valerie asked.
"It kind of sounded like-"
CRASH!
Tucker was interrupted by a large object flying through the ceiling. Tucker and Valerie jumped apart as it hit their table, smashing it in half.
The object turned out to be Danny Phantom, now lying in a heap in the wreckage of Valerie and Tucker's table.
"Oh hey," Danny waved from the ground. "Didn't expect to run into you two. How's the date going?"
"Pretty good, in my opinion." Tucker said "Thanks for ask- hey wait, do you like, need help dude?"
"What? No, don't worry, I got this ghost handled, you two enjoy your date!"
"Doesn't look like you do." Valerie pulled an ecto gun out of her backpack "Danny, taking down a dangerous ghost is was more important than-"
"No no no no no! I'm good! I got this! She just got a lucky shot in." Danny grunted as he pushed himself up and cracked his neck.
"That's better." he said to himself, floating up into the air "See? I'm good. Seriously, don't worry about me. I'll just call Sam if I need help, you two enjoy your date. Oh, and congrats on Valerie saying 'yes', by the way." Danny gave Tucker a double thumbs up.
"Oh yeah, thanks." Tucker said "You sure you don't want any help?"
"One hundred percent. It's just another one of Romeo's acting buddies, I got this. Just pretend I wasn't even here."
With that, Danny zoomed back out of the hole he'd made in the ceiling, disappearing into the night sky.
Valerie looked at Tucker.
"Does he 'got this'?"
"If he says he does, I believe him. Romeo wasn't a very tough ghost." Tucker picked up his mostly intact hot dog from the floor "Would it ruin the mood if I ate this?"
"I mean, Danny definitely already killed the mood, but I'd still judge you for eating off the floor."
"What? It stayed in the basket the whole time." Tucker said as he took a bite.
Valerie rolled her eyes.
"Also these things cost like four dollars each."
"Good point." Valerie said, retrieving her own fallen hot dog.
--------------------------------------------------
"Goodbye Vlad!" Maddie beamed "Today was so much fun, we'll have to get together again soon!"
"Yes, very soon. Goodbye Maddie, Jack." Vlad smiled back as he shut the door behind him.
He really meant it. Vlad truly did plan on seeing Jack and Maddie again soon. It had been too long since he'd had that much fun.
Sure, The Ecto-Pult (as Maddie had dubbed it) was incredibly inefficient compared to most modern-day ecto weaponry, but he hadn't realized how much he missed doing research with his friends. The data they'd collected might not have been that significant, but Vlad had left that basement feeling more invigorated than he did after the most productive days in his own lab.
Vlad couldn't stop smiling as he walked down the front steps.
There were still some thing the three of them needed to work out, such as the fact that all of them were hesitant to talk about Vlad's ghost side directly, but today had felt like the first sunny day after a week of rain, and Vlad was willing to work through any amount of awkwardness to have more days like that.
After walking a short distance, Vlad ducked into an alleyway to transform. The Ghost Zone was the fastest way to travel to and from Amity Park, but Jack and Maddie didn't need to know Vlad was using their portal. Not that he thought they would mind, but it was one of those awkward things Vlad wasn't ready to discuss quite yet if he could help it.
"Well," Jack wrapped an arm around Maddie "That was a lot better than the last time Vlad visited!"
"I'll say." Maddie agreed.
Once they'd gotten down to the lab, it was like they'd all forgotten about Vlad's accident and had been transported back to college when they were a closely knit research team and everything was normal.
Of course, in reality their college days were long behind them and things were far from normal. Vlad was still hesitant to talk about his ghostly properties, and Jack and Maddie still felt pretty awkward about the whole situation themselves.
A lot of unresolved thought and feelings still had to be dealt with, and Jack and Maddie knew that fixing things with Vlad wasn't always going to be as enjoyable as today was.
But this was a start. A pretty good start, in their opinion.

I find it hard to believe that it’s the freedom ending. If Chaz’s words are to be(e) believed, then every core pulled out is a person killed. From there it’d be hard to go to VVR2, since Butter’s headsets show people like Elon still alive. There’s two ways to merge, either through accepting Chaz’s offer and losing the fight. I’d feel it’s likely to be the former, since both the aforementioned people still living, and I don’t think the employees of Activitude would be particularly happy about working with someone who killed their peers. There’s also the fact that the freedom ending was also called the murder ending in either the alpha or beta, though it may not matter since it didn’t make it to the finished game.
I’m pretty sure it’s said somewhere that Eliza was brought over to Scottsdale? Like Hernandez, although I forget where it’s said. I guess that means she’s dead, with the whole deletion.
I personally don’t agree with the whole coin flip SOMA thing. The Board made copies of the citizens before the shutdown, which would mean that the originals experience the shutdown while the copies would only have the memories up until around the announcement. I also feel if it was like that, there’d be less panic, and despair and more hints to such. There’s also confirmation of a soul of sorts, with Gavin’s body and all. As for Bee, that may just be because Bee is inhabiting an avatar, kind of like with all of those Chaz in the ping pong(?) room. It would also kind of make Marty’s whole speech somewhat invalid, which I don’t think the game would make.
Also, fun fact! Cryogenic freezing would destroy your body just as much as the other choices. It would destroy your cells, as the water inside you would freeze and expand. Of course, we don’t know what other advancements the world in VVR has made, but since all other options seem like a final goodbye to the body, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the same.
I enjoy talking about vvr with you, so I hope this doesn’t come of as negatively argumentative.
I'm sensing no negative arguments here lol ^^ but I can break down some of these arguments.
Like if you start removing cores chaz starts sounding quite desperate to have you merge, now this might be because merging will stop you from destroying everything but at the same time if you merge with every core but one removed or you don't remove any core and just let him merge you at the start all the same characters are there and bee is still allowed to do work, which makes me think that death might not be the same in virtual space and they're fine working with a murderer after maybe a few tweaks to some base programming.
I mean in either ending we basically murder Hernandez but in vvr2 he's up and kicking, so it's possible that as long as chaz is online there's ways to bring them back. A bit of temporary murder. As for the reset ending I do find it difficult to determine if it could be cannon to the second game. There might be ways to frame that narrative but the more I look at it the more unlikely it seems.
I do think bee deserves a little murder though, as a treat.
As for the soma thing, in soma the humans kinda decided that the humans in the machine were no less them than they were, and thus it was kinda like a coin flip, heads they'd be in the machine, tails they'd still be outside. Then the humans would "Rig the coin flip" by entering the machine, having their minds copied over, and then as soon as the copying was finished they'd kill themselves in a weird philosophical mentality of maintaining continuity. However this is just a philosophical standpoint, one I'm sure the AI would have been on board with if deletion were instantaneous and not a slow, drawn out apocalypse.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean by the revelation of a soul via gavin's body? And the bee interpretation seems a bit weird, like bee's inhabiting an avatar, which then gets destroyed and then they just... rubber band into chaz once they're no longer bound inside of that avatar? I mean you could possibly make an argument for that but the tone shift made it feel a bit more serious from my perspective.
And as for Marty's little speech about them being upset because the humans trusted them and now they're being murdered, it could all be a bit of digital philosophy that also comes with the idea of copying an individual. I mean the original and the copy are no less real from eachother, both feel real to themselves, and so murdering one or the other is still a terrible thing to do even if there is a backup. Kinda like murdering a twin I guess.
Now onto Cryogenic freezing, when you pick that option the techs actually tell you that the particular option chosen is actually unavailable because no one ever comes back, which implies that there's the option to come back but since everyone chooses cryogenics "Just in case" they've probably got way too many bodies. So I think Cryogenics are a viable option in this universe.
An few equally fun facts about cryogenics though are the facts that there's a type of frog that can secrete a chemical that freezes the frog very slowly and instead of developing sharp ice crystals the frog produces more rounded ice crystals, which allow it to stay frozen 8 months out of the year. Research is being done to see if this process can be applied to humans but may take several years of testing and tweaking.
Also, it's sometimes suggested that one of the first ever microwaves were designed to help thaw out cryogenically frozen hamsters, because the previous method of warming them up with red hot spoons did work, but it also caused serious burns. The hamsters could survive having up to 60% of the water in their body freezing and still come out basically unharmed. This is why I sometimes fantasize about colony ships where humans are sent out in space to explore the cosmos, but instead of humans the people on the mission just transfer their minds into that of hamsters and we get little intergalactic hamster astronauts.

Hart and Hunter - Chapter 6 - Part 1
Tumblr media
*Warning Adult Content*
Dane Hunter
Every Wolf has a favorite place to run.
Fortunately, mine is right outside my front door.
Stepping outside dressed only in my jeans, I let the cool air wash over my bare skin.
A soft bark tells me Ingrid is out here already, waiting for me off in the meadow somewhere, impatient to get moving.
I shed the last of my clothes beneath the shadow of the covered porch, leaving them folded beside the door.
Then, with a deep breath, I summon my inner Wolf and let it subsume my mind and my human form.
With a familiar, excruciating and yet welcome agony, my bones and joints crack and reform while my muscles mold themselves to a new frame.
A moment later, I stand on all fours, panting to catch my breath, tongue hanging from between sharp teeth.
My mind is different as a wolf, my thoughts made more of images than of words and I embrace the peace and freedom that comes from putting human concerns aside for a time.
In the meadow, Ingrid barks again, summoning me and I trot out into the darkness to join her.
She emerges from the shadows with her head lowered and her tail wagging so hard her whole body shakes.
I huff a wolf-laugh at her puppylike enthusiasm and nip playfully at her ear.
Then, at some unspoken signal, we're off, racing across the meadow at top speed.
I'd almost forgotten what a joy it is to run with other wolves and revel in the pleasure of showing her my range.
It's not my 'territory' just yet but if all goes well, it will be soon.
I can already feel it calling to me as the Wild sings in my blood.
Ingrid wants to see all of it and keeps trying to lead me up the ridgeline away from the meadows but I don't want to stray so far from Julian just yet.
My overbearing caution is rewarded when, as we return from a last lap of the meadow, I hear him scream.
With a burst of speed, I shoot off across the grassy plain, my heart pumping fast as my feet fly over the ground.
Ingrid and I had raced back and forth several times and I'd almost let her win once or twice, now I leave her in the dust, unleashing my full strength and speed as I hurtle back towards home.
Ingrid's sharp yip tells me she's got my back and I bark a breathless reply.
I'd left the door unlocked and work it open with my paws and teeth almost as fast as I could have opened it as a man, then bolt through the house to the bedroom.
I launch myself on the bed with a feral growl, ready to protect my mate to the last drop of my blood and Julian falls back into the pillows with a cry of fright.
With a few quick sniffs and a scan of the room, I'm reassured.
There's no threat and no sign of recent disturbances.
Julian's fright is real enough, though and jumping on him in wolf-form hadn't helped.
Whining an apology, I soften my stance, lower my ears and lick his face.
"I'm okay, Dane," he says, taking a few rapid gulps of air.
"I'm fine. I just had a..." he glances at something on the bed.
"A bad dream."
I follow the direction of his gaze and see a little book lying open on the coverlet.
The human part of my mind recognizes it and my wolf-self responds with a growl.
Julian wraps his arms around my neck and buries his face in my fur.
"Dane. I'm okay," he says.
"Stop it, now."
With another whine, I let my human consciousness surface once again and my wolf-self surrenders as I rise.
Julian shuts his eyes as, with another rending crack of bones, I Shift once more.
A moment later, I kneel before him as a man and take his face in my hands.
"Julian?"
He opens his eyes and leans towards me, wrapping me in his arms.
He's no weakling... there's a good layer of muscle on his graceful frame but he always feels too insubstantial in my arms and I take care not to hold him too tightly or too hard.
"I heard you scream."
"I'm fine. I just..." he draws a breath and releases it.
"I was having a look at my Dad's book."
I draw away from him.
"Why?"
He bites his lip.
"Because... Well, look."
He reaches for the books and opens it, showing me the rune-covered pages.
I shake my head.
"What?"
"These don't look familiar?"
He runs his finger down the page.
"Should they?"
He taps a spot and holds the page closer to my face.
"Look at the symbol. Imagine it drawn in a different hand, inscribed in a circle."
"It looks like the mark on Wong's wall," I say as a chill runs up my spine.
He nods and continues to turn the pages one by one.
"I thought it looked familiar... the one at Lagrange's as well. And..." he bites his lip again, worrying it between his teeth lightly as he does when there's something he doesn't want to say.
"What?"
With a flash of amethyst, he glances up and me and then back down.
"After I touched the symbol in Wong's shop, while you talked to Chief Coleridge... I fell asleep for a minute or two. I dreamed of my Dad. I dreamed of him again just now."
"And?" I press, knowing there's more to it than that.
"And..." he shuts his eyes.
"I saw the night he died. I was standing with him on top of the dam. It was freezing cold. He said to 'have faith' and then he pushed me. That's why I screamed."
I sit back on my heels and run my hands over my hair.
"Why didn't you tell me this before? About the symbols, I mean."
He glances at the little book and speaks in a soft, uncharacteristically demure tone.
"You have to ask?"
I frown.
It's true I've made it clear I want nothing to do with Fae shit but I hadn't thought he'd take that to include anything to do with himself.
"Did you get anything else?" I ask, trying to convey an open interest in my voice.
He shakes his head.
"No. I'm sorry for scaring you."
I take a breath and rest my hand on his back.
"Julian... let's work together on this. Communication's not among my strengths but I'm trying, here. Help me out, okay?"
He nods.
"Okay."
I wait and after a moment, he looks up at me, purple eyes bright in the dark.
"I think the symbols are Fae," he says.
"I don't know what they mean but regardless... I'm thinking of taking Noah up on his offer to translate the rest of my Dad's book."
I bite back my gut reaction 'an emphatic no' and take another breath before answering.
"I'm no expert but you may be right. Either way, it's the strongest lead we have so far and a good idea."
His face lights with surprise and pleasure.
"You really think so?"
"I said so, didn't I?"
He leans into my embrace and 'with some perplexity' I return it, enjoying the soft, safe warmth of his body against mine.
I don't know what I did right this time but I'm not complaining.

And yes Harrison Ford is Tommy favino I'm running from the ball he plays Harrison Ford quite often and so does Ken another odd character that he is his Arnold Schwarzenegger so wicked dick to her son our son kept telling him to off and go away. Schwarzenegger wind something he keeps saying he owe me money and he kept saying no I don't and said yes you do cuz he had him poor most of the time and he always does cuz he's a fool she just kept doing to her son. So my son says in Port Charlotte you owe me money if you don't pay your dead just like you said and your brain is made of tissue and you're not invincible. He started to weep a little cuz you're not supposed to have money who the f*** are you in that case I need money to survive if you don't give me money I'm going to kill you that's the second time three times you're out in that case f****** weird person doesn't mean that we won't get you so he started blabbing horrendous amounts of threats and epitaphs just spewing and spewing and spewing finally said this there's no reason the boy should have money three strikes you're out okay knock you down now you're the one that's in the way of the money it's ridiculous I have money all over the place and I can't get it cuz of you you're a piece of s*** for your people this is going to win the game for me dumb f***" so we started fighting it at that point. We hit him with a whole bunch of stuff and we started seeing it with him and sitting on it and had Trump sitting on it and others it was ridiculous and it's still ridiculous and tons of you are doing it you're morons okay I'm going to go through you like wheat there's no reason to hold on to you you just sitting here trying to ruin everyone's life so I'm going to ruin yours you don't have access to the ships you don't have the codes you don't have the keys you barely have a locations and you run around thinking you do cuz you're jerks you're asinine people. We know where they are we need to Tommy f out. you don't want to fly around we will. I'm working on the shadow dome as well at the same time as a priority.
We have more in Norway Denmark and Sweden we have two more in that's only one 200 outstanding, and it's the ore they're finding out we have to wait for. There's a huge one in Russia it's going to come available shortly they mind out tons of it this week and they weren't building it's in a big huge pile, about solid ground between the two furthest to the east they tracked it all over there. Massive pile it's huge it's like 40 40 miles wide 100 miles long and 10 mi high it's changed the weather patterns completely his grandma's complaining look just see your borsch when it cools off!! Shit kid ok... That's fine Grandma you go play Lois I'm just Superman can make it well anyways... It's huge that kid's a pervert the movies beginning shortly. Well it's boring here I don't know where the hell he is what you don't know where the hell he is no he's missing so I see how it happened but now it's not very hopeful....no it's worse. Good I'm glad you kept us around now are angry we got to go after at that guy... His Russian grandmother says. Queen Elizabeth says oh you're in trouble Tommy f cuz he's been running her through the mill this last episode was the last straw. And there's a lot going on now because of these Revelations he had his hands on him and moved him and we knew about it and needed the information he said he did the best he could who said it wasn't good enough and won't be good enough he said it'll have to be good enough and he went extracted what he could well Billy z but you care about is your plan so I don't have these people eat ring dings and ho-hos until they're huge and your company is probably Wonder bread producing them isn't that sweet. We're eating as many as we can right now and we're going at it Corky's people say.
So we're switching gears. He's been threatening our son quite steadily and he's been ratching it up and now he's at a crescendo and we really don't need to hear this stupid crap and Victor is not ghwp and it's one of his brothers and Tommy f had your ruin him. And Trump went to the ships he didn't go to a mysterious space station and tell me if keeps on blabbing and really you think you have a handle on things it's really bizarre it meant all over the place and you don't down there it's kind of huge it's like bigger than top side so basis is so big and it takes a long time to get from somewhere to another place cuz you can't only you can't go flying through it this is kind of junk in there. And we infiltrated the whole time on purpose because you're such an a****** and you threatened the living s*** out of our son. And we need them out and out of the way and stuff but we feel that you made decisions that you are not qualified to make and you went against us and we've been going against you and I just talk to you idiot.
He says it quite clearly if you tell us any one of us and especially higher-ups you knit we tell her own back then who knows maybe in a cave I mean Jesus you're stupid" and I said all that and it means it too you're uneducated and you're a buffoon you're like a just a big bully and it's really going to cost you and you're mean to our son and you're stupid about everything you can't just expect them to be this and enCrystal your jive Turkey. He's right too you people need what he's got he doesn't have to answer you cuz you need what he has and your acts blows he hated you the whole time for Charlotte and you're thinking all sorts of dumb stuff you start showing up every day and harassing and you start saying I got to kick you in the head you dumb f****** retard cuz you kept doing it one day you stood in front of his food I thought he was going to kill you he's like a bear he really is so I don't care get out he was going to rip you apart and you start a fight you'd lose then you'd never come back okay nobody likes you at all and for you a hostile a****** to everybody I'm going to sue you and your Jerry senior well Jerry Jr actually you sitting there laughing at our son, and you like the head of a power plant in your this big head honcho he said you're next in space and your face turned instantly red and you left the room that doesn't get it he's the a****** not him so he felt really better and he said there's going to be a fight I said thank you and no I did not beat you up it was that a****** and she is my clothes I mean he does no one blames me for a reason I mean Jesus. He got right in his face and said nobody brings that boy because we're all in a lot of trouble if you do you keep doing it and everyone's getting hit including you you hit him with a rod hey shot him never said why then they figured out something we needed to know so recorded them quite often after that and he started getting his ass kicked so he's stuck in you in there and he goes don't talk about it I said don't talk about your deep tunnels underneath the stone and all go oh. Enough you burn my old man and you expect me not to f*** you up the ass of the farrier who the f*** are you you're so stupid man you you like lost your brain You're nobody now you don't do this to me either I'm going to kill you man you're stupid or kill people they kill people we're going to kill you you're dead putting a head on you I got a lot of money Garth it's a lot of money. We sent out a hit and he got word of it and he started to try and put one on you and we hit him other people started hitting and they're getting information he's a huge pig he has a massive loser
Tonight people going through his stuff and they're shutting them down here cuz just sitting there d****** with everybody and DC is going after him and they deserve each other but they're going after him with the vengeance they need to there's a ship under them and there's one other than New York and the assholes the one building it he's a massive a****** the guy didn't have to do that he did cuz he wants to get rid of everyone get rid of every place too cuz he's a stoic jackass he has no character and no taste to him he got injured critically and he won't stop me in a complete dick now he got rid of our son's dad and there's certain circumstances you don't know about and it was a conflict and below. We needed the Intel very badly and he wouldn't let us have it just sitting there and threatening the s*** out of her son and it was a hell let me say it another way that sons usually right. How priorities overrule yours satanists in every case and what he wants to happen and what happens to two different things and his men are monitoring him but not close enough he's a boob okay and the day-to-day grind is difficult but when it comes down to devices and future threats and things like that we need to know whatever we can find out you're wrong just sit there and threaten their son we're grabbing each and every one of you everyday it's just the SOP with us and here nobody gives a s*** if you go missing her a bunch of Rich assholes yeah think about that before you get up and start spitting in our face cuz we grab all of you yesterday it was atrocious we grabbed every single one of you and your stupid hard thing we have to everybody that was near there everyday they're All Dead
Tommy f himself has been hit 50 times in the head since Arnie acre Lee left forever and his men die rapidly all day long he's a vegetable now nobody knows it you can't really tell but he's gone we pull them in all the time and he comes out different nobody does that to us you understand you don't threaten us with some Satan's death you don't threaten their son with some Satan's death you're stupid people you're very rancid and idiotic now there's a price for each and every threat and your influenced by retarded people I feel sorry for you it weren't we're just not keeping up with the volume to keep it nice and quiet for you on your way out some mortuary here anyways to begin with. I understand what my son's saying don't let him get you very riled up it's not worth it to just trash they really are trash if you ever find a hokey idiots and really he needs you gone he needs us to treat you like what you are and just erase you we don't need John Reema Lord running around him all day long to prove that we're infiltrating you I mean you're nuts you so stupid Louisville traded every single aspect of your lives we tearing down every part of you we're taking over all your Banks and stock markets everything globally because this one idiot and your stupid son Mac because in that case he's a complete in that case and a disaster like you say what a w**** he is and g h w p did the surgeries you got him back he's dead. They killed the Foreigner's children they're going to kill you they're part of their acts in the future and is holding a war off until the foreigners are aware of what it was now they get it now you're going to die man and macs Son you f****** turd you're a loser man you're such a loser.
There's only a few outstanding shattered on the upper Midwest is empty and we've taken to possession and of the other two we had those for a while and we have possession of the ones in the ocean the Mediterranean will start emptying today and they go there shortly. It's going to be set off by current events because Tommy favino is hoarding the iron in Russia and has surrounded it with weaponry and he pulled it out from below that's actually how people figured it out it just kept coming out and coming out and the Russians tell people when they need to and they really needed to and they need help fighting over that stuff and the morlock her head in there right now.
Today we have several outstanding shatterdome
1. The Mediterranean which is heating up right now
2. A large one in Russia the last one in Russia and it is almost lined out of ore iron ore it will be empty today and will take possession of it

Toshinori and Hizashi were pacing the kitchen, phones in hand as they tried to get Shouta to respond. You had been missing for upwards of six hours now and the pros were on the verge of losing it. Their sleepy counterpart had stated he wouldn't need the two blonds help, but try as they might they couldn't help the anxiety clawing away at their minds.
"Fuck Toshi what if she got hurt? I know she's capable 'n all but the woods! There's god knows what out there!" The smaller blond was vibrating he was so wound up, the mental image of bugs crawling all over you and coyotes tearing you to pieces sending him into a panic.
All Might's anxieties were a bit more practical, imagining you finding your way to the road and trying to hitch hike away from them. What if a villain found you and hurt you? Nowhere was safer than home with them.
"Shouta is fully capable of finding her, any minute now and he'll give me a call..." The words were meant to bring Hizashi comfort, but he was struggling to convince himself as well. His phone was clutched in his large hand, its silence on the verge of killing him.
When it finally rang he almost threw it across the room as he fumbled it. Slamming the answer button he brought the phone to his ear.
"Where is she, is she hurt, is she alright?"
"Calm down she's fine. Dirty and upset, but otherwise relatively unharmed."
Hizashi bounded over, ears perked so he could listen in on the conversation. His perfectly aligned teeth worried his bottom lip at his husbands word choice of relatively. So he was a bit rough on recovery.
"I'll send you our coordinates, she managed to get pretty far into the endless forest. Good thing that contact of yours set up this quirk or else she would have reached the main road hours ago."
Toshinori heard your disgruntled yelling in the background at Shouta's newest revelation before the line went dead. His phone pinged and he made a mental note of where the two of you were. Taking a deep breath he puffed up his chest, taking on his more muscular appearance before running out the front door.
-----
An endless forest. Go figures. From what you could tell the further you wandered into the woods the deeper they actually became. You weren't exactly sure how they got in and out the house around the quirk, but the path you took was clearly not it.
You were currently sitting on the ground, back to Shouta as you simmered. Now that he was no longer plastered on top of you your anger was rekindled. You could feel his eyes burning holes into you, but you were far too pissed off to acknowledge him. It was a good thing he seemed to know when to leave you be, not bothering with conversation after fucking you into the forest floor.
The only thing he'd done since violating you was get his capture weapon, dragging you along so he didn't lose sight of you again.
Your head was still pounding from when you had hit the ground earlier. Combining that with how filthy you were and Shouta's cooling cum on your inner thighs, and you feel like absolute shit.
The sound of a loud thud behind you caused you to flinch. You didn't have it in you to turn around and face the number one hero right now, not sure if you would be able to handle whatever expression was on his face.
"Oh goodness, Shouta she's a mess what did you do?"
The dark haired man simply huffed in response, eyes rolling at the number ones concern.
"Just get us home, she needs a bath."
You hated when they talked about you like you weren't there, as if you were just some pet or child instead of your own autonomous person.
All Mights heavy footsteps approached you, stopping just shy of touching you. When you made no move to acknowledge his presence he sighed deeply, tutting at your behavior, before scooping you up bridal style. You closed your eyes to avoid looking at him, turning away from his broad chest.
"Shouta you can just grip around my neck from behind, it will only take a couple minutes to get back."
Tears pricked the corners of your eyes at his words. He had covered what took you six hours in mere minutes.
As soon as Eraserhead had confirmed himself secure All Might took off. Wind rushed passed you as he soared high above the canopy. You peeked your eyes open, trying desperately to see where the forest ended, but much to your dismay the nearest city looked to be hundreds of miles away, and any possible roads were obscured by trees.
"Take a good look Y/N," Toshinori murmured to you, voice rumbling against your ear. He didn't need to say more, you understood him loud and clear. Escape won't be possible, even if you get out you can't outrun me, and even if you hide it's only a matter of time before we find you. Your tears of frustration fell more freely now. Way to rub salt in the wound.
When you landed a minute or so later Shouta wasted no time in dropping off the giant while Toshinori quickly brought you inside. Hizashi greeted you at the front door, a strange mixture of relief, anger and disappointment swirling in his emerald eyes.
"Oh no baby look at yah. I got the water runnin' in the master bath in your room Toshi come on lets get her clean." Toshinori followed Hizashi upstairs, refusing to put you down. You all trailed through his bedroom, simplistic design leaving the space void of personality, until you ended up in his bathroom. The room was large, to accommodate the size of its owner, with white marble tiles on the floor, accompanied by white walls and white appliances, giving the room a sterile feeling.
"Hizashi, Shouta, I'll take care of her for now." You had expected a bit of protest from Hizashi but he merely walked out with a sad nod.
"Take it easy on her okay, it's partially my fault she got out..." Shouta mumbled, following his husband out of the bathroom. The door closed with a soft click and for the first time since coming into this house you found yourself alone with All Might. He was normally so busy you barely ever saw him, but now here he was, gently lowering you to the floor.
He stepped away from you, running his hand under the large free standing tubs faucet to test the water temperature. Hizashi had left everything he'd need to clean you up, towel and spare clothes included.
"Go ahead and strip." His voice was colder than normal, an edge to it that filled you with unease. Turning to finally look at him you sucked in your breath. His eyes were fixated on you, searing you with a look that was equal parts disappointment and wounded. He was still in his muscular form, kneeling impatiently beside the bath.
Heat rushed to your face as you slowly began to peel off your filthy clothes, until you were standing in front of him in your bra and underwear. He quirked an eyebrow at you as his frowned deepened.
"All of it." Anger and fear mixed dangerously in your mind as you glared at him.
"I can clean myself."
"I don't recall asking if you could. Strip, now."
When you made no move to comply he threw his head back in exasperation, heaving a large sigh before standing to his full height.
"I have had enough of your behavior young lady. I understand your frustration with us, but we're doing this for your own good. Would you really rather waste away in prison?"
"I'd rather you assholes just kill me already or something, this whole playing pet thing is really starting to piss me off!" His face dropped, teeth grinding against one another as his mind processed what you said. You had no idea how villains got the nerve to fight him, right now it was taking everything inside you to not back down and apologize.
"Kill you? Are you serious right now!" He stomped up to you, frame looming over you threateningly as his eyes blazed with fury.
Swallowing hard you steeled your nerves, you had nothing left to lose so might as well give him a piece of your mind.
"I was perfectly fine before you fuckers brought me here! I don't need you! The fact that you had to prevent me from using my quirk is proof enough that I don't need you! Sure I might not have had much, but it was mine! My life to own and do whatever the hell I wanted with, not yours to take!"
"The moment you decided killing people was the only way to solve your problems was the moment you lost the rights to your life. As heroes in this world, and enforcers of justice, you are sentenced to our care. Now stop arguing with me and strip."
Puffing out your chest you narrowed your tear stained eyes and fixed him with the nastiest look you could muster. "Fuck. You."
In that moment you saw something inside him snap. Mouth pulled tight in a terrifying scowl, he had you maneuvered faster than you could comprehend. One moment you had been standing in front of him, the next you were strewn over his lap, facing the floor.
You yelled out in anger, clawing at his calves through his cargo pants. You knew what would be coming next, but your brain didn't want to slow down to think about how humiliating it was about to be.
"If you want to act like a child then you'll be punished like one. Count. One for every hour you were gone. Be grateful it's not more."
"Let go of me you fucking assho- aH!"
His large hand made contact with your clothed ass, the slap muffled by the sound of running water.
"Count."
You bit down on your bottom lip hard, tears leaving trails as they washed the dirt down your face. You waited with bated breath, the stinging on your ass for now was bearable enough.
"Y/N, you will count on this next one or I will double your punishment. I'm done playing games with you."
You tensed on the expanse of his massive thighs. You didn't want to count, didn't want to give in, but deep down you knew you'd never win.
His hand came down again with another resounding smack right on top of the first hit. You let out a sob from the impact, choking out a soft "one" as your self preservation instincts kicked your ego to the curb.
"Good, only five more to go."
Your head hung in shame as you waited for your punishment to end, jolting and squeaking out numbers every time he made contact with your burning flesh. To his credit he applied the same level of force with each hit, but every time he made contact the intensity of your burn increased until finally you cried out a broken "six".
You felt so pathetic, strewn across All Mights lap. You used to be so independent, never did you imagine this would be your fate. What happened to your self confidence? The fire inside of you that pushed you to rid the world of villains felt smoldered. Doused by the degrading nature of your stay with the three pro heroes.
It made you want to curl up in a ball and cry until your head pounded from exhaustion. Today was simply getting to be too much for you to mentally handle. From your failed escape attempt, your pathetic attempt at self defense against Shouta, learning running was a pointless waste of your time, to now getting a spanking like a fucking child from All Might himself. The list of losses just kept adding up, and none of them were in your favor.
You were openly sobbing, and the fact that you were crying was pissing you off even more, making for a horrible cycle where you simply cried harder. Toshinori gently moved you around in his hold until he had you clutched to his chest, gently shushing you as you clung to him. Despite how wrong it was you found comfort in Toshinori as he rubbed soft circles into your back, grasping small handfuls of his t-shirt as you stained the white fabric with tears and dirt.
"Everything is going to be okay, I know you've had a bad day and being locked up isn't easy for you. Just give it some time Y/N and you'll see that things here aren't so bad with us. We're here for you, and we're never going to tire of you, even with that stubborn attitude of yours."
Toshinori waited patiently for your sobbing to turn into soft hiccups before peeling you off of him. He removed what little clothes you had left and then lowered you into the tub. The drain was unplugged since you were still filthy, and sitting you in a full tub of water would murky up the clean bath.
Grabbing a large cup Toshinori filled it and poured water over your naked body. You watched with unfocused and puffy eyes as the proof of your failed escape attempt swirled down the drain. Only when the water finally ran clear did Toshinori put the plug in. The lulling warmth progressively crept higher up your body, your head bobbing as you grew sleepy. Toshinori turned the water off once the water had reached your chest, leaving it a good bit from the lip of the tub.
You heard the rustling of clothes but paid the source no mind. You didn't so much as react when the now naked hero stepped into the bath, shimmying down until you were surrounded by him. The water level rose drastically with the addition of the 560 pound man. His thick thighs were splayed on either side of you, solid abdominal muscles pressed into your back.
You heard the pop of a bottle before two large hands gently began to lather your skin in body wash.
"I'm not sure how you like your hair cleaned princess. Whenever women find out I use two in one shampoo they give me a look like I kicked a puppy so I'll just leave that to you for another time." He chuckled softly as he spoke, massaging the tightness out of your shoulders before moving down to your arms.
He spoke so casually, as if all his anger from earlier evaporated with the ending of your punishment. You found yourself grateful that he moved on so quickly instead of lingering on your emotional degradation.
You felt his cock stir a bit as he came back to your chest, cupping them and working the soap onto your skin with more attention than he'd shown your shoulders. You stiffened a bit, but since he made no further move to grind himself against you, you remained in his hold.
"I'm sorry for being rough with you, I'd much rather do something relaxing like this than bring you pain." He pulled you until your head was laying on the expanse of his chest, the deep pounding of his heart mingling with the ringing in your ears. It was almost relaxing, minus the growing erection pressed against your lower back.
Reluctantly his hands left your breast, moving further down your body. He rubbed the soft expanse of your stomach, humming happily at your lack of resistance to him. Only when his hands drifted further did you begin to stir a bit.
"Now young lady I need to make sure all of you is cleaned up okay? You're behaving yourself so well I'd really hate to ruin the moment."
"No, no. Please. Just this one thing.."
His hands paused. He hated how broken you sounded right now. Pulling back he raised his arms outside the tub and rested them along the edges. You relaxed a bit as he retreated.
"Alright Y/N, do you need any soap?"
Sighing softly in relief, you were glad that he was willing to give you this. It almost made you feel human again.
"Nah, it's not healthy to use soap down there."
Toshinori merely hummed in acknowledgement, sliding further into the bath and pushing you along with him as he got comfortable.
You cleaned your core gently, it was still a bit sore from what Shouta had done earlier to you. Only once you deemed yourself spotless did you get soap to lather on the parts of you Toshinori had not gotten to. Speaking of, his breathing had gotten a lot deeper. You peaked back at him noticing his head uncomfortably resting against the tub as he drifted into unconsciousness.
Peering down his naked body you couldn't help but gasp softly as you took note of the large injury covering part of his abdomen. You turned towards him, sending ripples through the water as you cautiously brought your hand to the deep scar. You knew that All Might had been injured enough to force him into a smaller form, but seeing the injury first hand was something else entirely. Who on earth had been able to hurt this titan of a man?
You hadn't realized Toshinori had woken up until his large hand gently covered your own. Meeting his soft gaze you were taken aback by his sad smile.
"The man who did this to me, some say it would be best if I just killed him already. But that's not what heroes do, that's not what Nana would do."
Taking hold of your body Toshinori moved you until he had you straddling the smallest part of his waist. Since you were both completely naked you kept your eyes trained on his injury, heat rushing to your cheeks at the intimacy of the position. His hands rose from the water, gently cupping your face and drawing your gaze to his own.
"When I look at you sometimes I can see her. Your strong will, your intelligence, how beautiful you are... but you're not the same person. Not in a bad way, no you are unique. Your own individual, and someone who I've come to love, even if you don't feel the same way."
His blue orbs were hypnotizing, almost as if he believed if he tried hard enough your own glassy orbs would mirror his loving gaze, or perhaps he'd see it hidden in the depths of your irises.
This moment was far too intimate and personal for your comfort, it was so different than anything any of the men had done before. In a way you almost preferred when they failed to acknowledge you as an equal, it made it easier to hate them. But right now, sitting in the warm bath atop Toshinori, you could feel your resolve slipping.
You didn't want to bring attention to his confession so you decided to try and divert the subject.
"Who's Nana?" You had never heard of her before, not even in tabloids referring to All Might. Toshinori's hands froze on your face, eyes scrunching up as he contemplated on how he wanted to answer.
"Nana... Nana was my mentor. Though calling her that doesn't feel right, she was more like a mother to me. She's the reason I am who I am. Without her I'd be nothing."
Past tense, he was using a lot of past tense. It didn't take a genius to interpret why. His forlorn expression filled in the gaps, so you didn't bother to ask what had become of her. He saw you in the same light he saw this woman?
"Y/N, will you sleep with me tonight?"
Taking note of your hesitation he continued speaking before you could voice any protests.
"Coming home and realizing you were gone.. I was so worried, so afraid I'd never see you again. That you'd be taken away from me, and I don't know if I can handle losing you. I've lost so many people that I cared deeply about, I refuse to lose you too."
How in the ever loving fuck were you supposed to refuse him now. Even though you were still mad at him from his earlier form of punishment you couldn't find it in you to hurt him right now.
"Yeah that's fine, but just tonight. You probably put off a ridiculous amount of heat or snore or something..."
Toshinori flashed you his signature smile before bellowing out a laugh. The water rippled and your body jostled along with his hearty chuckle.
"Me? Snore? No, it'll be the coughing that might get to you haha-ack"
Pain flashed across his face before you felt his body rapidly shrink beneath you with a large puff of smoke. He scrambled upright, causing you to fall against him as he hacked out a lung. You awkwardly placed your hand on his back and rubbed small circles as one of his arms gripped you tightly for balance.
"So-sorry I think I was in my muscular form for too long."
He looked a bit sheepish, using the back of his forearm to wipe off some blood that had dribbled down his chin. You merely sat there, doing your best to look anywhere but him as he collected himself.
"The water's getting cold, come on let's get out princess."
You stood up first, awkwardly stepping over his legs and out of the tub. You were a bit embarrassed that he kept his eyes trained on you the whole time while his hands hovered to ensure your safety. A pile of large fluffy towels were set to the side of the tub on a stool. Grabbing the one on top you began the process of drying off.
You heard the sloshing of water as Toshinori stood up, followed by the sound of the plug being pulled and water draining. Looking over it amazed you that even in his smaller form he was was still intimidating. Wiry muscles clung tight to his frame, the angles of his face casting shadows across his eyes. Stepping out he grabbed a towel and proceeded to dry himself off as well.
"Hizashi left you some clothes it would seem... though they look a bit uncomfortable. You can borrow a spare shirt of mine, I also have a spare toothbrush on the top right hand draw of the counter if you want to hide out in my room tonight."
You very much wanted to avoid Hizashi, not sure if you could handle whatever he'd have in store for you right now. Out of three men here, he made you the most nervous. Even now, as you held the scandalous lingerie up to the light you knew he was still going to want his share of punishment.
"I'll take your shirt offer, as well as the hiding out offer. I don't think I can handle him tonight."
Toshinori hummed in acknowledgement before heading to his bedroom and shuffling about before reappearing with one of his large white t-shirts. He had on boxers now, which he must have bought specifically for his smaller form because they hugged all of him rather snugly. Tossing the shirt your way he meandered about the bathroom, preparing for sleep.
You both finished around the same time, leaving you to awkwardly shuffle towards his gigantic bed. He followed behind you, large hand on the small of your back to encourage you onwards.
You wanted him to sleep on the other side of the bed but weren't sure exactly how to voice your desire, especially when he followed so closely behind you. Pulling back the sheets you slid under the cool covers, and yet again Toshinori somehow found a way to leave you with no space.
After turning off the bedside lamp his long limbs quickly ensnared you, pulling you close and tucking you into his embrace. He was warm, but not unpleasantly hot.
Just for tonight. You'd give him this just for tonight. You were also beyond exhausted, your limbs heavy as you sunk into his ridiculously comfortable mattress. Your mind, which had been drifting off ever since the bath, finally dipped into unconsciousness. Your soft breathing filled the air as Toshinori watched you finally succumb to slumber. Smiling softly he lovingly stroked your cheek, planting a kiss to your forehead before giving in himself.
-----
Waking with a jolt you were thrown off by limbs harshly clutching your body. It took you a moment to remember that you weren't in your own bedroom, meaning Toshinori was currently holding you like his life depended on it.
The room was pitch black so you had no idea what time it was, but figured it was still way to early to be awake. His grip on your body was borderline painful causing you to groan out in sleepy annoyance.
"Toshinori, damnit, wake up. You're squeezing me too tight," you grumbled, wiggling a bit to try and jostle him awake. He was murmuring in his sleep, deep voice grumbling against you with the way he had you pressed against his chest.
"D-don't go... no no. I am here... please."
His body was trembling, caught in a nightmare that you couldn't see.
You raised your voice a bit, trying harder to wake him up but he still wouldn't release his grip on you. Only when you accidentally elbowed him did he finally react to you.
With a harsh gasp he threw himself on top of you, pushing you into the mattress. His blue eyes were a wild blaze, messy blond hair framing his angular face. His long bangs were plastered to his forehead from sweat, lungs heaving to swallow air.
"Y/N?"
He looked so lost, eyes clouded with tears as his brain finally registered he was no longer trapped in his own personal hell. Groaning out in discomfort he lowered his body on top of you, burying his face in the crook of your neck. He wrapped his arms around you, trying to ground himself.
"Ah, I'm- I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to wake you up... fuck." Moving down he rested his head against your chest, as if he needed to hear your heart beating beneath him in order to assure himself you were really here.
All you could find it in yourself to do was sigh in exhaustion, body going limp as you relaxed beneath him. It was a good thing he was in his smaller form, since he wasn't attempting to keep any of his weight off of you. You closed your eyes, not quite ready to ask him what his nightmare had been about.
He sniffled softly into your chest, arms unwinding from your waist to gently rub against your exposed flesh. His shirt had drifted up your body, leaving your stomach and lower half exposed.
"May I, may I touch you please?"
"You already are..."
"Oh, uh- yeah it would seem I am. Could I touch you, um down here?" His hand trailed down, knuckles softly brushing against your bare thighs.
You cracked your eyes open to look down at him, his own glowing orbs pleading up to you.
"Toshinori can we just go back to sleep? Please?"
Biting his bottom lip his hand continued to drift closer to your naked core, eyes averting from your own as he thought about what he was going to do next.
"I know I'm not around as much as Hizashi and Shouta but gosh I just- I need to feel you right now. The way they talk about you, how perfect you feel, I need you."
"I-I'd rather we just sleep, Hizashi is still mad at me an-"
Toshinori slid up your body, silencing your protests with a kiss. His hand slid up all the way, using his own thigh as leverage to keep you from closing yours.
His tongue delved into your mouth, fingers finally meeting your outer folds. You struggled beneath him, breaking the kiss.
"Toshinori please, I just want to sleep." In reality you were scared. You had seen his length before, and you'd be a liar if you said it didn't intimidate you. That coupled with the fact that tonight had been going semi-well with the pro, him finally having his share of you would cement your fate in this house even further. His fingers had paused, body still as he took you in below him.
"You don't have to do a thing then princess, I'll take care of everything. Just lay back and relax I promise I'll make you feel good."
"To-Toshinori please, I just want to sleep," you looked deep into his eyes as you pleaded with him, hoping somehow you could find the part of him that knew this was wrong. He gave you a sad smile, his eyes still a bit glassy from his nightmare.
"Just think of this as the last of your punishment then. I still don't think you realize just how terrified I was when I came home to an empty house."
You shook your head, sniffling a bit as tears formed. You tried to push him off but he merely took one large hand and easily secured both of your wrists above your head. His other hand resumed ever so gently teasing you, working on getting you aroused.
"Just lay back and relax alright, then we can go back to sleep. I just-I just need to feel you right now. Need to make sure you're really here."
You worked your bottom lip with you teeth, eyes closed so you no longer had to look at him. His thumb trailed up to press light circles against your clit while his middle finger began to delve a bit deeper, teasing your sore hole. Your body had gone slack, tired of the fact that this was just another situation in which your powerlessness was painfully on display. You didn't have it in you mentally to put up a fight.
Toshinori moved his slim hips until his clothed cock was pressed against your right thigh, rutting against you while he worked you open. He gave a gentle peck to your forehead before trailing kisses down your face to your mouth. He captured your lips with his own, freeing your bottom lip from your teeth and moaning into your unwilling mouth.
You didn't work with him, not giving him the satisfaction of your consent, but he wasn't deterred. He simply moved down, back arching as he made his way to your chest. His erection left your thigh as he finally settled on his stomach between your legs, allowing him to comfortably take your right nipple into his hot mouth.
He nipped at the sensitive bud, long finger pushing into you at the same time while he continued to work your clit. His movements were slow as he savored every moment, sleepy mind basking in the warmth of your body.
You tried to drift back to sleep, thinking that perhaps in the emptiness of unconsciousness you could avoid your punishment, but Toshinori was surprisingly very skilled when it came to manipulating your body. You shuddered beneath him when he gave a particularly hard suck to your breast, his lean digit rubbing against the spongy spot on your inner walls that had you clamping down on him in return.
His pace was torture, just on the cusp of bringing you satisfaction, but he seemed plenty content with dragging this out. You wiggled below him in annoyance, attempting to grind down against his hand in anger and desperation. If he was going to force himself on you then the least he could do was not torment you about it.
With a soft sigh Toshinori released your nipple from his mouth, a small trail of spit connected to his lips. Opening your eyes you glared down at him, while his eyelids were hooded in an amorous gaze.
"Tell me what you need me to do for you princess."
"Let me sleep."
Toshinori gave a sleepy chuckle before peppering your chest with lazy kisses.
"You're more than welcome to try."
Resting his head against your chest he continued to pump his finger excruciatingly slow, easily pushing all the way in to his knuckle, thanks to how wet you had become, before dragging out with a languid come hither motion against your sensitive walls.
You could feel your heart accelerate as he lazily stroked pleasure into your slack body. The way in which you velvety walls clamped down on him far too telling of his skill. It would be so much easier to hate him if he wasn't so damn good at this. In some sick and twisted way though, his loving movements quelled the rage inside you.
Did you want this? Tears slipped down your face as you realized that some fucked up part of you just might. Toshinori hummed softly into your flesh while he lazily worked you closer to your climax, the endorphins flooding your brain working to wash away your inner turmoil. His thumb rubbed gentle circles on your clit while he nipped and sucked on whatever flesh he could reach.
Once he realized you were close to finishing he simply added another finger, stretching and wiggling the two digits to help open you up. You moaned softly at the intrusion, hips bucking as you gave in to him. It didn't take him much longer to finally push you over the edge, but he didn't stop like you had hoped. Adding a third digit you inhaled sharply at the burning sensation, stretched walls still spasming from your orgasm.
"I'll make sure you're ready, don't worry about a thing. Just a little bit more, you're tight but I'll fit."
"It- you won't fit, please you know you won't."
As if to prove you wrong he pushed a bit harder then you were prepared for, burying three of his fingers knuckle deep and forcing a pained whine from your throat. He began to move, getting on his knees and arching his body over your own while continuing to stroke your now sensitive and stinging cunt.
"As I said earlier, just think of this as the ending to your punishment."
"But Hizashi hasn't-" Toshinori cut you off with a pointed look.
"That's not my fault now is it?" You cringed away from him, his cold tone from earlier in the night caused your chest to tighten in fear.
He sighed lowly at your frightened expression, before giving you a small smile and another gentle peck to your forehead.
"Just lay back and relax alright?" He gave your captured wrists a light squeeze as he spoke, large frame hovering over you as he continued to scissor his fingers inside you. The burning sensation from being stretched out began to subside as the familiar warmth of pleasure took hold of you once more.
"There we go, just like that. The more you relax the easier this will be I promise."
Finally pulling his devilish hand away from your soaked pussy he made quick work of shimmying out of his underwear, long cock springing free. The tip was red with a good bit of pre-cum dripping down his intimidating length, some getting lost in his neatly trimmed curly blond pubic hair.
You had flashbacks to the first time you saw it, a bit relieved that in his smaller form he lost a bit of girth. But holy shit if this 7 foot 2 inch giant of a man wasn't packing heat.
Heat flushed Toshinori's face as he watched you take him in. He knew his size could be a bit alarming, which is why he was well versed in the art of foreplay.
Bringing himself down on top of you he lined his tip up with your entrance, free hand helping to guide himself in. You could feel him, gently rubbing himself on your outer lips to gather your slick. His raspy breaths ghosted across the hot expanse of your face, while he closed his eyes, letting out a low groan as he began to push in.
"Sh-shit yes, just like that, ah fuck it'll be a tight fit."
You whined as he began to work on sinking into you, his hand leaving his cock in favor of gently wrapping around your throat.
Despite his best efforts his fingers hadn't been enough preparation when compared to his cock. Gasping in pain you thrashed beneath him. He shushed you gently, fingers stroking your throat delicately as he speared you open. Little by little he rocked his hips into you, holding you down while you cried out in pain.
"So good, you're doing so good. The worst is over okay princess hold out for me."
You hardly knew what he meant by worst part when it felt like he was never going to bottom out. He brought his face down beside yours, huffing and groaning into your ear until finally he was flush with you, cock buried to the hilt. You were breathing hard, small whines and whimpers slipping past your lips at how he stretched you.
"Oh shit. You- you're fucking perfect."
"Too much, it's too much plea-" much to your frustration his mouth met your own again in order to cut off your protests. He pressed your head into the pillow to try and prevent you from pulling away from him again, hungrily following your escape attempts. The hand he had around your throat receded, only to snake its way between the two of you so he could continue teasing your sensitive clit.
His hips began to move again, assuming he had given you plenty of time to adjust based off the way your pussy clenched around him as if begging for more.
He starting off with the same tempo he had been doing for the majority of the night, so slow it was as if he was teasing you. But as the burning sensation in your poor cunt eased you realized he was doing it for your benefit. He wanted you to enjoy this, needed you to find pleasure and comfort in him. After all this was your first time with him, he wanted to make sure you weren't afraid when he came back for more.
As your whimpers subsided, replaced with hushed moans, only then did Toshinori begin to pick up the pace. Finally he released your mouth from his kiss, both of you gasping for air. He showered you with praise as he fucked into you, deep gravely voice never letting you forget just how much he cared for you.
For your part all you could do was submit to him, letting his deft finger and cock bring you back to the brink of orgasm. Your warm walls fluttered around him as he took you closer and closer, the resounding slap of flesh on flesh filling the room as he lost himself in his own pleasure. He was grounded only long enough to see you through, but as soon as you began to convulse around him, hips bucking and pretty mouth moaning obscenely, his mind blanked out.
He abandoned your clit, hand coming up to join the other and thread his fingers through your own. He hammered into you, painfully drawing out your orgasm as he chased his own climax. The juxtapose of him lovingly holding your hands to his feral thrusts was giving you mental whiplash.
"Yes, yes fuck. So good for me, don't ever leave me again. Shit - fuck I can't lose anyone else."
His thrusts were erratic, your whole body forced to move against his. You had assumed he would cum in you, just as Hizashi and Shouta had already done, but right before he finished he pulled out quickly. Pressing the head of his cock into your skin, hot thick surges of cum covered your stomach. The excess quickly began to drip down the side of your body, mingling with your sweat on the sheets below.
Coming down from his high, his hands were still intertwined with your own, skinny body heaving from exertion. For your part your heart rate had mostly settled after your second orgasm, leaving you effectively spent under him.
You had managed to keep your eyes closed while he had fucked you, only now opening them to find him observing you fondly. Releasing his hold on you he leaned over to his bedside table and grabbed a spare handkerchief, using it to wipe off his cooling cum.
Only when he deemed you properly spotless did he toss the cloth to the floor and flop down in the bed beside you. Drawing your weary body against him he folded around you, capturing you once more in his unrelenting grip.
"I know you haven't been here very long, but I can't help but love you so much it hurts. I'll be good to you if you're good to me okay?"
A meager "m-kay" was all you had it in you to respond with, but it was all the man wanted to hear. With a satisfied hum Toshinori pecked your forehead with one last kiss before you both succumbed to sleep.

⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼⎼
"I dare you to pretend like you're dating Jungwon for a whole week."
You looked at your best friend with wide eyes, a similar expression of surprise on his face. There was no way you were going to do that. It would be way too awkward.
"Come on y/n. Don't be a party pooper. It's not like you guys are going to fall in love."
Of course things wouldn't turn out that way. No matter what, nothing would change the way you saw Jungwon. He would always remain your best friend and nothing more.
Jungwon looked too embarrassed to say anything. Both of you knew it was just a dare. What was the worst that could happen?
"Fine. Starting tomorrow Jungwon's my unofficial-official boyfriend," you announced, linking your arm with his. Jungwon hid his face in his hands as everyone around you screamed and cheered. This was going to be one interesting week.
~
☀︎ DAY 1 ☀︎
Since you only had to put on a show in front of your friends, you figured the best thing to do would be to hang out with Jungwon in solitude. He didn't have a problem with your plan. You both had been having playdates together ever since you were three. He was comfortable being alone with you.
Both of you met at your secret spot. A small grove behind the schoolyard. It was a place the two of you had found while skipping classes one day. Ever since then, this was where you spent time together whenever you needed some peace and quiet.
"I can't believe you actually agreed to this," Jungwon said, mindlessly plucking the grass he laid on. You sighed, staring at the row of trees beyond. "A dare's a dare. Besides, we have nothing to worry about because we don't have feelings for each other."
Jungwon sat up. "You know that we can't avoid all of them for the entire week right? They're literally planning to hang out at the cafe just so they can see us in the act." He sounded worried. There was no need to be.
"Of course I know that. So what? We'll let them see what they want to. It's not like they're going to make us kiss or something. The most we'll do is feed each other and hold hands."
Unlike Jungwon, you had already thought everything out. You knew how far to go while respecting the boundaries of your friendship. All Jungwon had to do was trust you.
He cringed in disgust at your words. "You're going to pay for landing me in this mess. We've barely even started and I already feel so miserable."
You patted his shoulder, flashing him an assuring smile. "You're not alone in your miser mister. After this is over, I'll do all your homework for you."
Jungwon laughed. "Learn how to do your own first. Then you can come and ruin mine."
~
☀︎ DAY 2 ☀︎
As Jungwon had predicted, your friends called you out to the cafe. Both of you were supposed to show up together. Jungwon met you a block away from the cafe, looking incredibly reluctant. "Are you sure you want to do this," he asked, just about ready to turn back around.
There was a determined look in your eyes. "Remember when he had to play Hansel and Gretel's parents for that play we did in preschool?" Jungwon nodded. He could never forget that day. "If we managed to get through that, we can get through this without a problem."
That made sense. Appreciative of your pep talk, Jungwon took your hand and whisked you away to the cafe.
By the time you reached your destination, both your hands were sweaty. Jungwon was just as nervous as you were. Not only because you had to pretend like you were dating, but also because your friends weren't going to miss the opportunity to tease you.
Seeing you two enter hand in hand, everyone began hooting and cheering. Jungwon's cheeks flushed almost immediately. You had to drag him towards the table you were supposed to sit at. "It's nice to see you two arriving together," one of your friends said, making space for you.
Taking a seat, you watched in horror as they placed a glass of juice with two straws in front of you both. No one had to explain what its purpose was. You glanced at Jungwon whose eyes were fixated on the glass hesitantly.
"If we get this over with now we'll be at peace," you whispered, leaning forward to place one of the straws between your lips. You looked away when Jungwon did the same, feeling the heat in his face on your cheek. You were certain you had never downed a drink so fast in your life. It didn't take long for you to finish the contents of the glass, quickly sitting back up to catch your breath. Your friends couldn't seem to get enough of the event, laughing and clapping avidly.
"You guys are so cute," some said. "Both of you would make such a nice couple in reality," said others.
Sitting there amongst your terribly evil friends, you wondered how you were going to get through the next five days with Jungwon.
~
☀︎ DAY 3 ☀︎
Your friends had invited you to another escapade at the park. You couldn't tell what they had in plan this time but you were sure it wasn't going to be enjoyable. At least this time, you and Jungwon didn't have to show up hand in hand.
When you reached the park, Jungwon was already there. Your friends beckoned you over, making you stand next to him.
"Now that our subjects have arrived, here's your to-do list. First, remain holding hands the entire time we are here. Second, Jungwon, give y/n your jacket if she starts feeling cold. Third, walk her back home and make sure you give her a nice, sweet little kiss before she goes inside."
Jungwon let out a noise of surprise. He wanted to run as far as he could and never come back. Holding your hand was fine. He had gotten used to it because of the previous day. He didn't mind giving you his jacket, but you were already wearing one so he didn't see why he would find the need to. Jungwon could do many things. But kissing you was not one of them. It didn't matter if it was on your cheek, your forehead, or the back of your hand, because there was no way on earth that he would bring his lips anywhere near yours.
What neither of you realized was that your friends were willing to go to the farthest lengths to make sure you went through with their tasks. They made you two walk in front of them so that they could see your hands intertwined. When the sun went down and the air started getting colder, they made you take your jacket off so that Jungwon would be left with no choice but to give you his. Just when it seemed like your night of torture would come to an end, they even made you share a single cone of ice cream. When it was finally time to go home, two of your friends followed behind you to make sure that Jungwon did his bidding. It was awkward enough walking through your neighborhood hand in hand. Those who knew you cast looks of confusion and surprise upon you two. Eventually, you reached your doorstep. Jungwon let go of your hand, standing in front of you. He looked everywhere but at you, avoiding your gaze. You glanced behind your shoulder, rolling your eyes when you saw your two friends filming you from behind your neighbor's car. They weren't even attempting to be discrete.
"Hurry up and kiss me already. This is too embarrassing," you urged, slapping Jungwon's arm. He sucked in a breath, pressing his lips in a thin line. "Do you think it's not for me? I mean, I'm the one who has to kiss you for heaven's sake."
"Stop pitying yourself and just get on with it. The longer we stand here the more reason they'll have to punish us tomorrow."
Jungwon stared at you long and hard. He squeezed his eyes shut and leaned forward, pressing his lips onto yours without a second thought. You froze, eyes going so wide they might have popped out of your head. Even though it was probably only for two seconds, it felt like an eternity. Time froze as you stood in the foreign feeling of his lips on yours. He pulled away almost immediately, skipping down your driveway as fast as he could with a short wave and 'good night'. Still stunned, you entered your home, breaking into a smile when you closed the door.
~
☀︎ DAY 4 ☀︎
The next day, Jungwon asked you to meet him at your secret spot. So far, your friends hadn't made any plans to get you together. You saw Jungwon sitting in the middle of the grove, laying down on the damp grass as he usually did. Walking over, you sat down beside him, flicking his forehead so that he would open his eyes.
He grinned on seeing you, sitting up with a soft groan. "So, how was your night?"
You furrowed your brows at the question. It wasn't like him to ask you things like that. But you decided to overlook it. Maybe he was still feeling a bit awkward after the kiss you both hard shared the previous night.
You shrugged. "It was fine. How was yours?"
"I couldn't sleep," he revealed. It sounded like he'd been dying to tell you. "Why's that," you asked, believing that you had an idea of the reason.
"Last night scarred me," Jungwon shared, pretending to gag. You didn't know why, but hearing him say that made your heart sink. Suddenly, you felt horrible. "Was it really that bad," you asked, genuinely curious to know what he thought of it. Jungwon nodded, making you feel even worse. "It was worse than I thought it would be," he added. Your eyes started stinging. A lump formed in your throat and the longer you held it back, the more it hurt. You knew you hadn't been eager to kiss him, but you would argue about how 'bad' it was. But bringing that up right now would just be stupid. Jungwon would misunderstand where you were coming for and that would just lead to another disaster entirely. You had told yourself that you weren't going to let this dare get to you, but four days in you were already slipping. The longer you sat there, listening to Jungwon whine and complain about everything he'd had to do with you so far, the harder it became to control your emotion. Not able to take it anymore, you got up abruptly and ran away, leaving Jungwon sitting there extremely puzzled.
~
☀︎ DAY 5 ☀︎
You didn't respond to any of Jungwon's calls or texts. You didn't have it in you to face him. He would be disappointed if he found out the real reason behind your sappy mood. So you were gonna wait till you got over it before facing him.
You still couldn't believe that you had been so affected by Jungwon saying that he hated the kiss. Despite telling yourself that you disliked it too, you couldn't help but think otherwise. There was something so magical about it. You had never felt that way because of a kiss before. Whenever you thought back to it, an exciting warmth rippled through your mind. Your heart danced in glee and a wide smile formed on your lips.
But you weren't supposed to feel that way. Jungwon was your best friend. Besides, he hadn't kissed you willingly. You didn't understand why it felt so special to you when it clearly meant nothing to him. You knew you couldn't blame him for that. His mind was wired to see you as nothing more than a friend. You found it hilarious. Here you were, realizing that you probably liked your best friend after having continuously assured yourself and him that something like that would never happen. The sad part was that Jungwon would never reciprocate your feelings. You were all alone in this.
A knock sounded at your window, startling you. Slipping out of your reverie, you glanced towards it, eyes widening in surprise when you saw Jungwon crouched before it. You didn't think twice before letting him in. He entered your room and stood in front of you, crossing his arms over his chest. "You wanna explain what happened yesterday?"
You frowned and turned away shoulders slouching disinterestedly. "Is that what you came here for," you asked, regretting letting him in?
"Well did I have a choice? You've been blatantly ignoring me while all I've been trying to do is make sure you're alright," he said, stepping closer to you.
"I'm fine. If that's all you needed to hear, you can leave now," you replied. You didn't need him prying and prodding at you right now.
Jungwon stood his ground, clearly not satisfied with your answer. "No, you're not y/n. You aren't fine. Tell me what's bothering you."
You sighed and faced him. "Trust me, you wouldn't want to know."
Jungwon furrowed his brows. He didn't know what that meant. "I think I'll be the judge of that."
"It's you. You're bothering me," you spoke, narrowing your eyes at him. Jungwon hadn't been expecting that. But he didn't let the surprise show on his face. "What did I do?"
"You made me feel so worthless and undesirable. But that's not your fault. I can't blame you because you're right to think that way about me. I'm just pitying myself here and there's nothing you can do about it so please, just leave me alone." The tears were coming back again. You didn't want to break down in front of Jungwon. His face fell. He didn't know what to say to that. He thought you knew he was just being overdramatic. He seriously hadn't meant to hurt you. Before he could apologize, you turned to him. "I don't think I'll be good at keeping this a secret, so let me just tell you that I'm starting to catch feelings for you. If that makes you uncomfortable then you can leave. If you have something to say, just say it and go. But don't ask me why I feel the way I do because that's something I'm yet to figure out."
Jungwon was at a loss for words. He stood there, gaping at you like an open-mouthed fish before turning on his heel and exiting through your bedroom door. You heard your mother yelp on seeing him, probably wondering where he had shown up from. A part of you wished that he hadn't left, but the other was glad that he was gone. You felt like a fool for letting all of this happen. You should have never agreed to this dare. Who would have thought it would lead to something like this? There was nothing you could do now. There was no way you could change the way you felt. Because at the end of the day, it was as clear as ever, that you were undeniably in love with your best friend Yang Jungwon.
~
☀︎ DAY 6 ☀︎
Jungwon couldn't stop thinking about everything you had told him yesterday. He would never have imagined that you would catch feelings, especially through such a childish dare. Your friends had called you out to the park again today, but Jungwon wasn't going to go. He knew you wouldn't be there so there was no point. He wished he could tell you that he hadn't meant half the things he'd said about the kiss at the grove that day. He was just trying to show you that the kiss hadn't made him feel some type of way. Not just that, but he was also attempting to persuade himself that he indeed had loathed it. Maybe he should have been truthful instead of lying about it.
This was exactly what he'd been afraid of. Jungwon was always fond of you. He cared for you and he wouldn't lie when he said that he loved you. But the more he thought about it, the more he realized that maybe he felt that way because he thought of you as more than a friend. Jungwon didn't want to convince himself that he liked you just because you had confessed to him. He wanted to understand the way he truly felt about you.
He knew every little thing about you. No one knew you as well as he did. Jungwon cherished your friendship and the time he spent with you. Whenever anything bugged him, he always came to you, knowing that you were the only person who could make things better. He relied on you more than anyone else. He couldn't go a day without speaking to you. After yesterday, he realized how important you were to him. The fear of losing you ate at him the longer he stayed away from you.
Jungwon hated knowing that you were sad. It hurt more to know that he was the reason behind it. He wanted nothing more than to hug you and apologize for making you feel bad. He felt guilty for everything he had done. It had only been a couple hours since he had last spoken to you, but it felt longer. He missed you so much.
So he left you a text, asking you to meet him at your secret spot. He kept his phone close, waiting till you replied. But you didn't. You probably wanted nothing to do with him. Nonetheless, he still hoped and prayed that you would give him one last chance to make things right again. He couldn't afford to lose someone as special as you. There was nothing for him if he didn't have you.
~
☀︎ DAY 7 ☀︎
Jungwon laid in the grass, staring at the dull sky above. It was filled with clouds, hiding the sun. The grove felt so big and endless when he was alone. When he was with you, it was much more cozy and bright, even if the atmosphere was gloomy.
He had been waiting for you for quite a long time now. You hadn't replied to his message last night, but he knew you had seen it. Just before he was about to lose hope, he heard the grass crunch a few feet away from him. Jungwon didn't have to look to know it was you. No one else knew the path to get here.
"What do you want," you asked, voice small but laced with malice. You were cross with him. Jungwon wished to change that today. He patted the space next to him. "Let's not pretend like we hate each other. You could do the worst thing to me but I'd still admire you."
You didn't argue and sat down beside him. Other than the tension in the air, everything felt normal. There was a scowl on your face. It must have taken a lot of convincing for you to come here. Jungwon needed to get to the point.
"I'm sorry about everything I said. I didn't even mean half of those things."
You scoffed. "Oh really? They sounded pretty heartfelt to me."
Jungwon sat up. "I was just trying to enforce the idea that I wasn't into you, on myself," he revealed, hoping that you would forgive him. "And being a dick was the only way you could do that? Jungwon, you weren't the only one who was attempting to suppress their feelings," you refuted.
"I know y/n. And it's my fault for not realizing sooner," he admitted, hanging his head. You sighed and shook your head. "This is so immature. I can't believe we're letting a stupid dare get in the middle of our friendship."
Jungwon chuckled darkly. "Maybe it's a sign that our friendship has run its course."
You turned to him. "What is that supposed to mean?"
Jungwon smiled. "I gave it some thought yesterday. We're both attempting to be in denial of our feelings. Obviously, that isn't working out. If it wasn't for this dare, they would've remained buried deep down somewhere. But I guess you could say everything happens for a reason." He took your hand in his, intertwining your fingers. "I never realized how much I loved this feeling until I had to go a whole two days without it."
You couldn't even hide your smile. "Where is this going Jungwon?"
"Maybe we should give this a chance. Give us a chance. Who knows? It could turn out the be the best thing that's ever happened to us," he said, meeting your eyes.
"And what if it doesn't? We would be throwing so many years of friendship away."
Jungwon shook his head. "How long are we supposed to contradict how we truly feel about each other? That would take a heavier toll on us."
You laughed, squeezing his hand. "It doesn't hurt to try I guess."
Jungwon beamed. "That's the spirit!" It felt nice to see you smiling at him again. He was grateful for that. It was funny how a large part of his mood depended on you. If you were happy, he was happy. If you were sad, he was sad. His entire world revolved around you, and Jungwon knew the best thing to do was strengthen that bond.
"So, will you be my girlfriend," he asked, smiling cheekily. You bit your lip, looking at him through your lashes. "Of course I will."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
London is in big danger now...Perseus...Bellamy & Sarah...their whole presence here was to find the Greenlight nuke that was hidden under the British parliament while the whole government is in town to blow it up, killing millions of civilians & bringing the United Kingdom to its knees in the Cold War. A project that I thought to be out since 1981, coming from the CIA, was still active despite the events surrounding it 3 years ago, a project that I & Zasha inadvertently brought out to Perseus and allowed him to try to blow up Europe with it...and now, I'm trying to get it down again...avoiding him to destroy London...
The only thing that was in me at the moment while Park was leading me to one of a car before getting in it and leave the sector rapidly with Price's quickly formed team...the only thing was just the anger of...having been mistreated, tortured by Bellamy & Sarah, my thoughts about the latter changing to be less friendly with her after the stab in the back she did to all of us. No words were coming out of my mouth as we were going away to join the British Parliament at the Palace of Westminster, Park focused on driving the car and following Price's team van in the streets of London.
She...Park wanted to know more about what happened to me down there in that cell but I stayed silent, away in my thoughts of getting Sarah, Bellamy, and anyone that's with them...what they deserve. I could see the distress in Park's eyes just by looking at her, she was worried, calmer than me despite the situation and I was understanding her on that part. She must have been deadly worried when she learned that I & Zasha got captured but now, I needed to stay focus, my eyes drifting around...
As we were driving to reach the parliament, my gaze fell on the mirror in front of me between me & Park, and by curiosity, I put the mirror in my direction to take a look at my left eye and...and just by looking at it...
"Fuck..." I muttered, discovering how much my eye was looking more like a mess and Zasha was right, my eyes weren't having the same color patterns. The right one was still blue while the left one...it became more very light blue going more into a white color, the vision of it still blurred. "Shouldn't have look at it," I thought to myself, putting my back against the seat.
"You'll be fine, Yiri," Park assured in a normal voice, her eyes staying on the road.
"I'm not sure of it," I said.
"Don't worry," She added, her voice taking a better tone, still sounding to reassure me at the moment.
"My eye is a mess, can't be sure that I don't need to worry about it," I told her, turning my head slightly to the right to look at her. "They injected me with their damn needle in the eye and they kept me awake with the product in the eye," I declared, sounding a bit angry in my voice. "Instead of letting me sleep, they put music in my ears to make sure that I suffer worse,"
"They...they did that?" She demanded.
"Yes," I whispered, my word causing her to clench her fists while having them on the steering wheel, holding it firmly.
"The same music?"
"No," I replied, having guessed that she was referring to a memory of me during our time in Verdansk. "It was different...Only You," I articulated, those two words staying in my mind and as if I could hear it in my ears.
"Only You?" She repeated.
"Can make...all this world...seem right," I started to say, remembering the song in my head before I stops myself by shaking my head. "Sorry, it's just that...I got it in my mind since...since..." I apologized but I cut myself up, the hours have passed since that happened. "A long time," I resumed.
"I'm sorry," Park whispered.
"It's not your fault...it's mine," I claimed in a clear voice, still feeling the blame for the event in the metro and that crash. "It's my fault if I got me & Zasha captured and...someone wounded...and another killed,"
"It's not..."
"No, just...don't, ain't helping," I cut her gently in her words even if she was trying to do her best to make me think of something else as I was looking outside, seeming to soon arrive at our destination. "I know that you want me to think of something else but not here," I told her straight about this. "Now, we just need to stop Sarah & Bellamy to destroy London," I muttered, my head going back into looking in front of me as Park was still looking confused about Sarah's name been mentioned despite after my revelations about it.
"Sarah Stone...I never thought that he got a sister," Park thought to herself, slightly turning her head around for a bit on her right.
"She's crazy, she's dressing in her brother's clothes for his legacy," I exclaimed, a vision of seeing her in that blue outfit with a green hood was disgusting to me. "She played everyone in here, she faked to be friends with us...just to get us in a better way,"
"I thought that she was a friend," Park remarked, me shaking my head at this.
"She played it," I repeated. "Manipulating the files to make sure that we believe that Harry was back from the dead and we bought it," I passed my hands through my face, avoiding touching my left eye at the moment. "She wants to avenge her brother by killing millions of citizens with the very thing that me...you, we swore to stop 3 years ago," I said clearly, Park turning her head with a little smile on it at me.
"We did," She grinned before she looked back at the front of her. "Here...the parliament," She pointed outside with her left hand towards the building at our right, seeing Big Ben's tower from afar. "And the government is here, looking at the security," She commented, seeing outside a lot of policemen and policewomen standing near the building.
"Price and his men are pulling over there," I said, seeing their blue van going to park itself on the right side of the road.
"We should join them, then," Park said before she decides to get the car behind the van a few meters from it.
We stopped the car right behind the van and just by looking at the palace and its surroundings from the car's inside, I was wondering how the CIA could have implemented a nuclear bomb right under the place that the British government is reuniting but that thought went away as Park was taking out from her pocket, an MI6 identification card on a necklace, putting it around her neck before we could go out of the car, going to join Price and his men near the van as some cops were coming to them.
"Excuse me but who are you?" A policeman with a bulletproof vest asked Price as we were arriving near the group. "You have some identifications?"
"We're with the SAS, sir," Price replied to him but the policeman was looking unconvinced with his colleagues behind him.
"Sure, sure, we believe you," The policeman scoffed, thinking that we were joking with him. "Get serious, let me see you all your papers," He demanded, sounding less funny of a sudden.
"Excuse me," Park finally stepped inside the group, going to face the policemen with me. "You don't think that's serious but it's bloody hell right," She affirmed, not happy that we were thought like that. "I'm with the MI6, there's a threat inside a building," She showed the policeman the palace behind him through the gates, her face getting along with her voice.
"How's that?" The policeman suddenly got his voice changed, worried, to be honest.
"A terrorist group entered the building & intend to blow up a nuclear bomb under it," I revealed directly, speaking up and going straight into the subject with the police, seeing in a second their eyes going wide at this.
"We need to enter that building and stop that threat, you have to let us in," Price declared, sounding assertive to the policeman that was looking terrified.
"Uhm...Uhm...sure, sure," He stuttered, his hand going to stretch a bit the collar of his vest. "What should we do? Alert the houses?" He suggested.
"No," I said clearly. "If the government is alerted of that threat, the terrorists could be aware of it & detonate the bomb," I suggested, knowing that it was a big risk to take if the government was aware that a nuke was beneath their feet.
"Good point," Price noted, nodding at me before he looked at Park. "If they're under the building, we should take them on two sides," He proposed.
"There's an entrance near a pier on the Thames, get your men with you to that entrance, it will surely cut them off in the case of an escape from them," Park ordered, pointing towards a direction as we start walking in a group to the portal separating us from entering the palace. "I'm going with Yirina inside the palace," She told them.
"Understood, let's go, everyone," Price agreed before he gestures to his men to follow him inside as the portal got opened by the cops, letting us enter and parting ways with Price's team.
"Uhm, miss, what should we do now?" The policeman's voice came behind us as we were directing ourselves towards the entrance of the palace.
"Alert the security about the threat but they can't alert the government," Park slightly turned around to face him, making her voice clear for him. "Stay here, we're taking care of this," She affirmed before we resumes our walk inside.
"Let's hope that we don't arrive too late," I confided to Park, taking a deep breath as we were arriving near the building, a bit of stress of going inside coming in me. "Not even changed," I commented in a low voice, looking at the state of my outfit that was filled with dirt.
"Let's hope," Park repeated in a low voice before we got in front of the door, some policeman guarding it.
It didn't take a few seconds to let the policemen open the door for us, even after Park showed them her MI6 credentials around her neck before we could step inside the building that was holding a very important reunion of the British government at the moment and it was sure that the stress was coming inside of me just to think of it and that the bomb under our feet could blow up at any moment if Sarah and her team already left the place to be doomed.
Since that Park was the one to know the place perfectly, I followed her around as my thoughts were overwhelming me during my walk behind Park...are we going to stop Sarah in time? That was the main question that came to my mind but...but...we need to stop her, we have to. She's going to nuke London for her revenge...just for her terrorist brother...just for someone...her brother...we have to stop her, everyone knows that and just by looking at Park's walk, she was thinking the same thing.
Then, after only a minute to walk through the building, we managed to arrive at a door that was leading to the underground of the building but we were surprised that the door was kept by two policemen that were very-well armed and protected than the others cops that we crossed paths with, the two looking rather...normal...
"Sorry, miss but this area is restricted to the public," One of the policemen addressed us, putting himself in front of the door as we were arriving near it.
"We're with the MI6, we need to get down, there's a security threat," Park announced, showing off her card to them.
"Sorry, but we can't let you here, it's a private zone," The other policeman in front of me said to her as I was getting suspicious of these guys, now looking different...and not British. "Besides, we got nothing of that sort from a security threat," He explained.
"Hey guys, the bomb is going to be on soon, you should get out," Suddenly, a voice over the radio that was belonging to the guy in front of me went on, a feeling of confusion taking over the two 'cops'...those guys were posing as cops...
"Cops...just fuckers..." I taunted them before I start to give the guy in front of me the first move by hitting him right in the teeth.
Park immediately reacted by also throwing a punch to the other guy face, launching ourselves to take care of these two 'cops' and thankfully, those two weren't in fact a big deal to neutralize, taking only at least 10 seconds to get them out and putting them on the ground before we decide to check them in quickly, seeing that they were Perseus agents undercover...that operation must have been prepared for days...and it's only the beginning for the moment...
"And now?" I demanded to Park after I got up from the guy I was checking.
"Now, it's time to get down but..." She started as her eyes were looking at the two 'cops' on the ground, and then, looking around. "We can't take the risk to let those two escape, there's no cop in here," She said as we were in a part of the building that wasn't having a lot of cops around.
"Meaning?" I narrowed my right eye at her.
"One of us goes down while...while the other stays here to get the two under control before the security gets them," She explained, chuckling for a bit as she put her hands on her pistol. "You stay here," She ordered, cocking her pistol.
"No," I stopped her, shaking my head at her. "I'm the one going down," I volunteered, getting in front of Park to stop her from going down and passing that door.
"Yiri, no...you...you're not..." Park tried to defend herself but I shook my head at this.
"Maybe that I can see with half of my vision, maybe that I should be healed but no...I'm going down," I claimed, taking out my M1911 from my jacket.
"I don't want to lose you," Park whispered in a low voice.
"Me too," I assured her with the same tone, checking up the mag of my M1911, 5 bullets remaining in it. "That's why I'm the one taking the risks,"
"You don't have to do that," Park asserted, putting her hands over my right shoulder to make me change my mind.
"It's my fault that Perseus is going to use Greenlight and..." I snorted, putting the mag back into the gun to load it, moving to face the door and open it. "I'm going," I announced before I start to walk away, not feeling Park's hand on my shoulder as she was seeming helpless to stop me to do what I needed to do.
The stairs that I was using to reach the underground was pretty old, looking like it was never fully maintained to a good shape and it's with cautiousness that I start to go down the stairs, taking care to not miss any steps and going slow in my moves, thinking that at any moments, I could be surprised by a Perseus agent right now and it made me keep my M1911 pointed right in front of me, a look of determination coming on my face.
Once that I reach the underground level, it was at this moment that I needed to be careful, extremely careful since that I can only see right with one eye and...no, it was too late to back down, Sarah needed to stop to detonate that nuke and destroying London. I started to walk in the only direction that was getting offered by me to take, staying aware of any noises that could come around me: the sounds of water flowing through some pipes, a little buzzing getting heard from afar...I stayed careful.
But the more I was advancing, the more the underground wasn't looking old enough, seeing some spotlight and crates around...getting soon accompanied by some noises that were certainly people speaking and it caused me to be silent in my footsteps as I was getting closer to those talks, and then, I put myself behind a crate, arriving near a big room looking like some sewers with in the middle of it...the bomb...and Sarah...only her...in the same clothes as her brother...
"How much time?" There was also a hooded soldier near her, standing up as she was sitting, doing something with the bomb.
"Not so long, we'll be away when it will explode," She replied in a sort of reassuring voice.
"Good to know," The hooded soldier affirmed, passing his hand through his face as Sarah got up but then, some clouds noises came from another hallway at their right. "What's that?" He asked.
"Must be the SAS, good," Sarah presumed as I was thinking the same thing, maybe that Price and his men had to fight to get here. "More useless people to die tonight," She remarked, and that...I don't know why but it provoked something that I couldn't control...rage...causing me to go out of cover, pointing my gun at the two.
"Not in my watch," I spoke up clearly to the two, taking the risk to do this like that.
"What the fuck?" The soldier cursed as he turns around, seeing me arrive in the middle of the room.
"Don't try anything," I ordered, staying at a safe distance from them and keeping the two under my control. "Hands up," I gestured with my M1911 up, seeing that the soldier complied first as Sarah was looking unimpressed.
"Grigoriev..." She smirked at my sight. "A pleasure to see you here, came to admire the show?"  She questioned, not ready to get her hands up at my command
"I'm here to stop you," I affirmed.
"Not sure that it will happen," She told me, staying stubborn and not complying as she got next to the soldier, his hands staying up. "I see...weak," She muttered by looking at the soldier before of a sudden, she got a blade out of her left sleeve...and start to stab to the neck, the soldier.
I could see that she was emotionless to the man that she was stabbing now, not stopping in her move as I was looking terrified at the scene I was watching in front of me...Sarah...literally stabbing one of her own men in front of me and continuing even if the guy was dead, making his blood flow like a fountain as she put him down on the ground before her eyes went to look at me, her face filled with the blood of the soldier.
"You're crazy," I said, lowering my gun at seeing her like that, a pool of blood forming on the ground.
"You don't know me well, Grigoriev," She stated, smirking at me with the blood on her face, passing her right hand on it. "Harry wasn't showing his full potential to the cause, I did what he couldn't do,"
"By destroying London?" I presumed.
"He was a bad man but never, he wanted to burn that city down to the ground," She told me, checking her hands full of blood. "Now, this city will burn...by me...Sarah Stone!"  She claimed loudly to me, getting her head up to form a disturbing smile with her lips.
"No, not with me," I admitted, my hands letting my M1911 go off on the ground.
"The pathetic little lost girl with one fewer eye...against me...in a fistfight?" She lamented my choices before breaking a laugh about this. "Going to be a pleasure to break each of your bones before I let you die here with that bomb,"
"I maybe got one eye but..." I started before I clench my fists, ready to stop her from doing her plans. "But I'll kill you,"
"Let's see that!" She said in a clear voice before we both starts to move in each other direction to get it done.
She was the first one to try a punch at me, throwing her right hand at me at full speed but I managed to avoid it at the last moment by moving myself back behind before she starts to get serious to put me down for good, causing me to stay on the defense for the moment by trying to block at my best the punches and kicks that she was giving me, either succeeding or failing to do so, slowly getting the advantage over me as I found myself blocked with my back against the wall behind me.
The blocks that I was doing to counter her wasn't working anymore as she started to get dirty on me, punching me faster and making me impossible to counter everything from her and hitting me in the chest and my left knee but by chance, I took a moment that she was taking a breath to get away from the wall, avoiding a punch directed to my face and causing her to hit the brick wall with her fist.
"Fuck, you bitch!" She shouted, holding her right wrist with her left hand before she turns her head around to look at me with rage. "You're hard to kill but not impossible," She commented, me catching my breath and trying to keep an eye on her.
"You messed up with me, you're deserving it," I taunted her, what she did to me was enough to make me reach my limit.
"Says the bitch who worked with my stupid brother for years," She exclaimed before she starts to turn around me in a circle at my left, she was trying to get out of my sight. "Man is so manipulative, remember?" She demanded in a normal voice as she was walking on her side faster to get away from me.
"What do you mean?" I asked her, confused as I was trying to keep her insight. "You...you manipulated your own..." I couldn't finish that I received a kick behind my right knee, causing me to fall for a bit on the ground.
"Yes," She replied behind me directly without having finished my question. "He wasn't...very sure...before her little sister came to see him straight," She commented, moving in front of me as I was trying to get up. "Helped him to kill some...useless people...including...a brother from...someone," She smirked at me as I start to think about...Park's brother, William.
"You didn't..." I tried to say before she put me down again on my knees, her hands over my shoulders.
"Oh yes, I did," She told me with a smile before she got at my level. "Made him believe that her pathetic brother hated him, made him murder people...bang, bang, boom," She mimicked before breaking out a laugh from her mouth. "So easy to break, Harry's mind was so easy to break," She taunted as I realizes with her words that... for a long time, she was the one who orchestrated William's death...and put the blame on Harry. "Since that, he thought that he was the boss...until you kill him and got me to get into his boots to make his legacy live,"
"No, you created a monster...and I'll kill you!" I then got myself into a rage and managing to get her hands off my shoulder before I decide to throw myself on her, right into her chest and getting her on the ground, and finding myself on top of her. "That's for Peter...for me...for Park...for everyone you killed!" I shouted loudly, at each punch I was giving to her face, mixing her blood with the soldier's one on her face.
I was giving all of my strength inside of these punches, doing all of my best to make sure that she wasn't going to get out of here alive before she got some nerves to hit me in the chest, stopping me to give her more pain than she deserves before moving her feet to kick me & push me away from her far behind her, making me land at a few meters from her, and then...I saw my M1911 near me...and...I had no choice to take it...
"AAAHH!" Sarah screamed, going to charge me over before I took the M1911 in my hands, and then, I pulled off the trigger, shooting two bullets at her, hitting right in the chest and in the right shoulder. The bullets caused her to stop in her run to look at the bullet holes in her body before falling on her knees as I got up from the ground, gun in my hand.
"That's for everyone," I muttered as I looked at her with desperation.
"You weren't pathetic after all," She said, still sounding stubborn. "Just...stupid...and lost," She proclaimed as I hold my M1911 by the cannon of it. "If not dying by that not-working nuke, the numbers will," She exclaimed before she spits some blood on my clothes, giving me nothing but disgust towards her.
"Just...fucking...die," I declared before I took a deep breath, and then, I decided to hold her by her hair to expose her throat before using my M1911 to throat chop her with a strength more powerful than my punches from before.
The strike made her cough out some blood from her mouth, trying to speak to me but it was mostly inaudible sounds coming out of her mouth as her eyes went wide at looking at me before she shut them down and I let her down, throwing her on the ground...it's like the...first time that...I'm using...to be violent like this to kill someone...I never did this but now...I felt...bad for doing this but also...I don't know, Sarah was a monster, she deserved a worse death but...why I'm violent...I'm not the monster that Perseus tried to create.
My eyes then went on the bomb that she was working on, leaving her to die painfully on the ground to take a look at the bomb that was in fact, not even armed...not working at all and a smile came on my face about it, seeming a bit happy before I start to fall on my knee, some tears coming out of my eyes, and then, falling on the ground on my back, completely exhausted by this day...seeing now only the light above the ceiling...as I could hear some people approaching...
It's with a smile that I closed my eyes, thinking about my friends...about my love...

snowy sunrise
Tumblr media
pairing: leia organa x reader
warnings: sweet smooches & pure fluff :)
summary: mornings on hoth are breathtakingly beautiful - they pale in comparison to her.
note: a leia blurb because she is my favorite thing in the entire world and i miss her with my entire ass
You like snow - objectively speaking.
Freshly fallen sheets of white blanket the ground and dust over trees and cities as far as the eye can see. It’s a wonder in its own right - and beautiful, you think. That was before relocating to Hoth.
You seem to tire of snow within the first week, spending a disproportionate amount of time staring out at Hoth’s monotonous terrain. It seems a bit bleak overall, but it’s around this time when you find it’s most appealing. Inside Echo Base, you watch as the sun rises amid hazy pinks and yellows. A snowstorm has just passed, leaving way for miles of porcelain snow on a vast, sprawling landscape.
You lean against the window, breath fogging the transparisteel. The whole world seems to slow with the snowfall, quiet as if it sleeps alongside your cohorts. A cup of caf warms your hands and you revel in the silence - only for a moment, though.
“You’re up early,” Leia says, her voice barely piercing your bubble of calm. She’s just woken up herself, still in sleep clothes, hair in waves behind her back. Your heart flutters pleasantly at the sight.
“Haven't slept, actually.” You adjust your grip on the cup, feeling an odd urge to fiddle with your hands.
“Well, the caf certainly isn't helping.” She stands beside you and yawns, eyes still clouded with sleep. “What kept you up?”
“Nothing.” You say, watching Leia’s gaze fall to the horizon. Pinks and yellows fade and yield to dusty blues and dull greys. You hold out the cup, offering it to her. “Here, do you want it? I haven’t drinken any.”
She glances at you briefly before taking the cup. “Thanks.”
Leia takes a sip. A stilted silence settles over you both, and you exhale deeply. She doesn’t say a word, only watching the window. Your eyes follow the curve of her forehead, the slope of her nose. (And if you look at her mouth for a few moments too long, it’s no one’s business but your own.)
Her head comes to rest on your shoulder after a while - she’s warm and the gesture makes you feel safe despite the rapid fluttering of your pulse. You look, almost desperately, back out at the landscape. The rising sun. Anything to calm that heart of yours, not to mention the crashing somersaults of your stomach.
“You should get some sleep.” Her voice is flowing honey, soothing and sweet.
“I've got a meeting in a few hours, I can nap after.” Your tone is gentle and sleepy to match hers. Your heart has barely calmed itself, but you find comfort in laying your head atop hers.
“You sure? You sound like you're about to crash.”
“I’ll be fine, don't worry about it. Besides, you've already got Luke and Han to worry about.”
“I don't worry about ‘em, what makes you think that?” she asks, her tone a little sharper. You’re worried that you might’ve ruined the moment and quickly try to backpedal:
“You're always with them, that's all. Han seems to like you a lot, too.” Okay, the last bit might have been a mistake.
Leia pulls away, a scrunch in her brow and a twist to her lips. You miss the warmth immediately. “Who gave you that idea?”
“No one, I just… have eyes.” You reply quietly. “He looks at you like a little puppy every time you're not lookin’ at him. Why, is there something there?”
“No, I don't like him like that.” She huffs, putting her cup down. “He isn't my type, you know.”
“Alright, defensive.”
“I'm not being defensive, I’m just saying.”
“Fine, we won't talk about him anymore.”
“Fine.”
A beat of silence passes. “So is there anyone you do like?”
Leia calls your name in indignation, a flush rising to her cheeks - it only interests you further.
“Well, who is it?”
“Mind your own business, that's who.”
“Will you tell me about them?”
“It’s not important, quit being so nosy.” Speaking of nosy, you’re nearly nose to nose with her. You’d very much like to move the stray hair from her cheek.
“I'm not being nosy, I’m just curious!” You almost forget to reply, looking at that strand of hair.
“Well, be curious about something else!”
You sigh a bit, face feeling impossibly hot. “You know what you are? You’re feisty.”
“Oh, yeah? Then what are you?” She asks, brow raising.
You ponder on it briefly. “Courageous.”
“Please,” Leia says, looking you in the eyes. “name one courageous thing you’ve done in your life.”
You hold her gaze as steadily as you can, steeling yourself.
“This.” The word barely passes your lips before your mouth is on hers - and it’s nice.
Really, really nice. Like the rhythmic purring of an x-wing’s starting engine. Like sparks in the dead of night, flickering behind your eyes, fire on her fingertips as she grabs your cheek, your waist.
She pulls away first, and not harshly - her eyes are the richest soil, boring into yours, deep and dark and captivating.
“Right, s’that answer your question?” Leia murmurs, staying close.
You can’t keep the stupid grin stretching across your face. “I dunno,” you whisper, and you think your cheeks are going to hurt later with the sheer elation thrumming inside you. “you’ll have to make your point a little more clear.”
“What, you want another kiss?”
“Didn’t wanna say it out loud,” you giggle - honest to god giggle - and swipe the bit of hair off her cheek before kissing her again. She tastes like caf and sleep and something tangibly sweet.
A moment of clarity passes over you. “I like you too, by the way.” You blurt, lamely.
She looks at you then, doe-eyed. Lets it hang for a moment - and then laughs, and stars, it sounds like gentle rainfall and the tinkling of bells and fills you with such warmth that you scoop her up into your arms, smiling into every kiss you press onto her skin. The look on her face is soft and familiar and brighter than any sunrise you’ll ever see.
“Yeah,” she says, beaming. “I figured.”

Rowing the Rarepair Rowboat: Kaleb Hawkins x Jed (Legacies)
Requested by anonymous, encouraged by @lemon-patches and @antopazas
It's been hours. Kaleb lost track a little while ago, somewhere around eleven, he thinks. When he happens to glance at the clock now, because this is basically Hogwarts where he's not even allowed a phone, it tells him it's four-thirty in the morning.
He should be surprised; he's not even tired, and honestly, he didn't think it was possible to talk for so long without running out of things to say. Somehow, he and Jed have managed perfectly fine.
It started off from after Lizzie's fake funeral, both needing to vent about Alyssa. Then at some point, after they had moved up into Kaleb's room, the conversation just shifted. It went from their dumb rivalry, to some lightehearted joking about werewolves vs vampires, to Jed telling him about the person he killed and Kaleb telling him how he turned. And now they're just here, sharing the most random, tiny details, anything that comes to mind.
He now knows that Jed doesn't like being Alpha. He sussed that his favourite colour is some very light shade of yellow from the amount of things he's mentioned that have been that colour in his life, including the times Penelope used to paint his nails. He was actually super into Harry Potter as a kid, and they both appreciate old music, as well as the beauty of vinyls.
Jed also knows way more about him now than anyone else in the school, which wouldn't be hard, but still. It's easier to talk to him when they're not at each other's throats over some crush on the same girl. Except, that's not really all it was.
He gazes at Jed with a faint smile. Talking has certainly made things a lot clearer, at least for him.
"Do you think we're idiots?" Jed asks, switching from his topic of constellations as he rolls his head to the side to meet his eyes. "Truthfully. The way we were acting?"
Kaleb shrugs, but he huffs out a quiet chuckle. "Truthfully? For sure. We... certainly did and said some things."
Jed sighs, then shakes his head, staring back at the blue wall of books and records across from them. A gentle crease forms between his eyebrows, but he wears a ghost of a nervous smile.
"It's so weird," he tells him, and suddenly he seems tense for the first time in the whole night. "I've never done anything like that before. Fought because of a crush. It felt like there was something to prove, you know?"
Kaleb hums in agreement. Even with the pointed, emphasized way that Jed said it, he still asks, "To Alyssa?"
A beat passes. He studies Jed's expression, the flutter of nerves, then watches him shake his head. His voice softens.
"No, that's the funny part," he says, but his smile is even more nervous than the glint in his eyes as he looks at him again. "I don't think I really cared since she never really paid much attention to me anyway. It's like I was trying to prove something to you, which... must have some really weird, messed up logic behind it, because even I don't really get it. I just know I felt like I needed you to see me in some way. Probably makes no sense, right?"
There it is. Kaleb smiles. He can feel the worry coming off of Jed, the need to cover for himself in case, after everything, he says something that just manages to step over a line.
"Nah, I get it," Kaleb says quietly, to his surprise. "I was doing the same. The whole thing turned less into trying to impress Alyssa and more into... well, getting your attention. Good or bad."
Jed just stares at him, eyes wide, and evidently thrown by the confident admission. He sucks in a breath, and Kaleb sees the moment it hits him, spreading through his eyes. The wave of realization comes back around to crash into his own chest one more time as well.
"What does..." Jed hesitates, doubt and wariness sticking through in his voice, "...does that mean...?"
Kaleb's pretty sure he knows the question he's asking. He's been silently asking it himself for two hours, and only come to an answer within the last thirty minutes. He couldn't care less about some dumb species rivalry, and his feelings for Alyssa o ly seemed to present themselves when shr wasn't alone. Because Jed was there with her.
"Uh, well..." Kaleb might be at a loss for the right words for the first time.
It means he's spent a good hour give or take stealing glances at Jed's hand, so close to his own, wondering how different it would feel to hold opposed to it shoving him in a fight. Glancing at his mouth when he smiles, the sight of it digging into his heart like some rabbit burrowing itself a home. Hearing his laugh is another feeling entirely. Just wondering about the idea of him.
Jed's still watching him, waiting with his lips parted the slightest bit though scarcely breathing. As soon as the idea forms in Kaleb's mind, he sees it in Jed's expression as well, the simultaneous decision.
They both lean, slowly, a little uncertain. When their lips meet between, Kaleb knows he was right. The hesitation falls away enough for them to kiss properly, still moving slowly, but with more certainty.
Time already feels like it stopped existing a few conversation topics ago. Kaleb honestly can't say how many seconds tick away before he feels them both pulling back.
Jed's eyes open after Kaleb's. He sees the look in them right away. The glimmer of surprise, but knowing. Understanding, and relieved about this newfound revelation.
It wasn't about proving who was better for Alyssa, or who was the superior species. It was just a way of trying to work out what they were feeling, the emotions getting tangled up and confused with something else.
"Yeah," Jed says softly, almost on an exhale. His gaze is fixed on Kaleb's. "That's... that's what I was thinking. And makes a lot of sense, actually."
Kaleb snorts, and he can't help but huff out a laugh a second later, Jed joining him after a beat.
"If only we'd talked it out like this before the whole sing-off thing," Kaleb jokes.
Jed groans at that. "Oh, no, don't remind me. It's still too fresh. I'm surprised Lizzie didn't kill us."
"There's still a good chance she will," Kaleb says, half-serious.
"Well, I guess our fates are sealed then," Jed plays along, the corners of his mouth turned up in a bright smile, eyes dancing.
Kaleb just smiles back at him. The tiredness may be catching up now. It shows in Jed's gaze as well. Even so, neither of them suggest sleep. They keep talking. The sky slowly lightens outside. All Kaleb is really sure of is that, at some point, he goes for it and slips his hand into Jed's while he's talking. It makes him pause, glancing down, but he recovers quick and just continues on, locking his fingers with Kaleb's.

________chapter 2_________
After we got settled in and tge bickering died down we headed to the mess hall. Chef came out of the kitchen. He had the look my mother has on Thanksgiving. "I serve it three times a day. You will eat it three times a day. You will grab a tray get your food and sit down Now!" He ordered. Yup definitely feel at home here. The adorable stupid blonde complained. Alpha geek complain practically everyone complained. Its just oatmeal get over yourselves. "This is no different than what mama serves back home. Thanks Chef I'm sure its good." I said before sitting down. "See that is appropriation learn it maggots." He said before patting my head. I took a bite.
(Confessionals )
Iris looked into the camra
"mamá, lamento haberme burlado de tu cocina. tu cocina es mejor que esta basura."

Courtney
"I know what that half breed snake is dooing. She is buttering Chef up so she can get better food. Once a cheater always a cheater. I will expose her"

(End Confessionals)
I started to eat when Courtney came over and stat down. I look at her then went back to eating.  "Hey Iris I'm sorry for the attempted lawsuit. I just have a problem with being bested." She said holding her arm looking apologetic. "Get up and take that bullshit nice girl act somewhere else. You forget chika you and I know each other personally. Marselo was hurt and frankly I don't put up with that. He asked me not to go after you that day. However today is a different day. My baby brother is happy with some else. *Bends over the table into her ear* You are mine now." Her eyes widened when I whispered the last part.
(Confessionals
Duncan
Obviously Courtney started the whole ordeal. Iris was minding her own business eating this slop. Honestly prison food is better than this. Never thought I could say that.

Courtney
Did you see that she is crazy. She is going to kill me Marcelo please help.

(End Confessionals)
I sat back down and went back to eating.
Cris walked in "Hello campers after breakfast you will begin your first challenge. Meet me outside when your done." He laughed
I finished my plate and sat it in the window. It didn't seem right to just leave it. I walked in the back and did my dish before walking outside to sit waiting for the others. Chris was looking at me he had a thinking moment. "What is it?" I asked slightly creeped out. "You look like someone I know. We dated sixteen years ago. She left for reasons I don't know. Bet she is kicking herself now *laughs*" I was about to say something but Heather came out followed by Lindsey.  "What are you two lame for brains talking about." Oh Heather is so sweet. After everyone made it he leads us to a cliff. "Your first task is to jump off the 1,000 foot cliff into the water below. Those who don't have to where a chicken hat and walk down to the beach. Once everyone has jumped you will proceed to carry your crates back to camp. The team with the most jumpers gets an advantage Good luck. First up the killer bass."  He said as the bass line up to take the plunge. I think something is wrong with me. I like watching people squirm from fear. Then Courtney was making up an excuse why she can't jump. "And that ladies and gentlemen is why she is second place Courtney. *laughs *"  she growls "shut up back water trash." Everyone gasped I chuckle. "Oh I'm going to enjoy watching you suffer. Just remember princess you brought this on yourself. Happy trails chicken." I said giving her an evil smirk. She takes the hat and quickly ran passed me.
(Confessionals)
Chris
That was kinda scary hate to be in Courtney's shoes. I think everyone could tell that before Iris was just lightly messing with Courtney. Now I think its game on. Courtney you glad I put you on the Killer Bass *laughs *
*Static *
(End of Confessionals)
It was now our turn to take the leep of faith. Heather was trying to chicken out but Leshawna threw her over the cliff. It was down to me and Owen. "I'll see you down there big guy."  I said patting his arm. "Yeah no big deal." He was scared and to be frank so am I. "Te ruego que me perdones la vida y le des la victoria a mi equipo. siempre agradecido por otro día de vida. Amén." I said kissing my hand making a cross over my body. I turned my back to the cliff trust falling off.
"Hey nice splash" I believe his name was Trent. "Thanks but it was nothing more than a trust fall." I said "what were you trusting." Ah the one they call Noah. "That I wouldn't die." I said looking up. "Owen come on its not that bad. I trust falled and survived. You can jump you will be fine." I yelled up giving him some encouragement. Then next thing I knew a giant screaming canonball was heading our way.  That gave the screaming  gopher's the win. "See told you can do it big guy."  I said while coughing up water.
Chris gave the carts to us so we could  carry our crates.
"Iris didn't even jump she fell. She should be disqualified." Courtney yelled. "Spoken like a sour loser at least I didn't chicken out. " I said loading a crate. "She has a point Courtney." Chris said taking my side I smirk at her. "You will be hearing from my lawyer." She yelled  "Oh yeah Sam and I are good friends because of you." I laughed befor leaving with my team. Making it to camp we had to build a hot tub out of the materials given.
At the end of it all we snagged victory. One of the bass are going home.
"Killer Bass you will be saying goodbye to one of your own tonight, At the marshmallow ceremony. " Chris said leaving us to go eat. While I was eating the bass started arguing. Then Ezekiel said something that made myself and the other female campers to surround him. " care to repeat yourself culo tonto escuálido" I said geting in his face. "One your not spanish so please speak English. Two its a proven fact guys are stronger than girls. " Evea picked him up by his neck. "Still think that light weight." She growled "For your information the man that raised me is from Spain. I like the way the language sounds. " I said crossing my arms the surfer dude came trying to calm everyone but Ezekiel dug his grave.
The Gophers and I watched as it came down to Courtney and Ezekiel. Courtney got the final marshmallow of the night.I cross my arms. It was a mist opportunity but Ezekiel was the right choice.
"See Iris I'm still here" she smirked and I laughed. "Yes second place Courtney your still here. *eyes narrow * for now." I said walking away.
Chris
"What's in store for for the campers in the weeks to come. Who will get sent home next. Find out next time on Total Drama Island." He said and the campers stop rolling.

---------------------------------------
Walter stood frozen in the kitchen, leaning on the counter with his arms crossed. In all his years of staying with Namjoon, he had never made a mistake. He had protected Namjoon like his family, at least whenever he got the chance.
So how did he let you get hurt?
It wasn't really his fault since he had no idea that there was someone else in the house. But maybe this was a sign that he had to stop. Maybe he was too old now and his stiff muscles weren't of much use. He was just glad that you weren't hurt too bad.
Walter stared at the wall in front of him, trying not to be too bothered by Namjoon who was now standing by the doorway. Namjoon didn't want to do this at all. But somehow, your life had become very valuable to him. Especially when you clutched on to him, refusing to let go as if you'd drown. It didn't need to be said but Namjoon felt like he had to save you. He needed to save you. And he needed to be saved by you.
Namjoon sighed, glancing at his feet and walking towards the old man stood in the big open kitchen.
"Wal-"
"I'm sorry."
Namjoon pursed his lips, his eyes burning at the emotions that were welling up in him. Walter looked sad and Namjoon knew he was beating himself down. But there was only so much he could do. Lately, all his decisions were actuated by your safety.
With a shaky breath, Namjoon muttered the words he never thought he'd say.
"I think it's time to let you go."
Walter didn't react. Even if he was sad, he didn't let it show. This was bound to happen. Namjoon had only said his thoughts out loud. Things could have been harder if Walter didn't want this. Gratefully, he was okay with this.
Namjoon was caught off guard when Walter simply nodded in response.
Guess this really had to happen.
Hesitantly, Namjoon stretched his hand out, giving Walter a tight lipped smile. The latter immediately took it, holding onto it like his life depended on it. Walter's eyes were red and Namjoon had to endure the pain in his chest.
"I hope you find someone who still has his muscles intact." Walter joked, making Namjoon smile at him. Certainly, this wasn't needed. But Namjoon wasn't only doing this for you. He was doing this so that the older man could live the rest of his life in peace, unbothered by the troubles that Namjoon seemed to bring home with him. It was good yet bad but this was progress in Namjoon's eyes. He was finally doing something for someone else. No selfish intentions. No regrets.
With one final goodbye, the doors to Namjoon's house had closed behind Walter, telling him that there was no going back now. It was done. Namjoon was safe in the house with you and hopefully, you'd take care of him too. Putting on his black fedora, Walter walked away into the night, not looking back once.
Namjoon sighed, resting his forehead against the closed door, wondering if this was the right thing to do. He had to hire someone else now. Yes it would take time to build the same amount of trust again but better safe than sorry.
"Are you okay, Namjoon?"
Your sweet voice made Namjoon turn around in an instant, his eyes taking in your confused and concerned expression. You stood at the bottom of the staircase, your hand resting on the wooden railing while the other clutched the bottom of the t-shirt that was too big for you. Namjoon's heart swelled. It was his.
He took a step towards you, giving you a faint smile. You could tell that this incident had worn him out more than it had affected you. The tired eyes and the exhausted smile of his corroborated your assumptions.
"I thought you must have fallen asleep by now." He said, patiently waiting for you to answer him. You shrugged, taking a step away from the staircase. "Couldn't sleep."
Namjoon nodded in response, proceeding to sit on the couch. He buried his face in his hands, sighing on feeling the place beside him dip. You frowned and rested your cheek on the palm of your hand, your elbow sitting on your knee. Namjoon was certainly not okay and you knew it was due to Walter's absence. You wanted to tell him that you had heard everything but maybe it was best if you didn't talk about this. Instead, you opted for placing your hand on his back, rubbing it soothingly. Namjoon looked at you, his eyes red and glossy. Something inside you ached, your heart begging you to make him feel okay. But you didn't know how. Even though you had problems of your own, Namjoon didn't need to hear about them. What he really wanted was for you to give him solace and comfort.
"Let me be here for you, Namjoon." You pleaded, his eyes closing shut on hearing your words. Clearly, things were beginning to take a toll on him but he refused to let it show.
"I'm okay, Y/N. I- I'm just fine." He assured you, giving you a sympathetic smile. You pursed your lips, reluctantly nodding and standing up.
"If it's not too much, could you..." You trailed off, biting down on your lip in uncertainty. Namjoon noticed your hesitation and stood up, towering over you and raising his eyebrows to urge you on.
Your cheeks grew warm, your eyes frantically looking around the room before you said it out loud.
"...could you sleep with me? Just for tonight?" You asked in a small voice, peering up at Namjoon through your lashes. Namjoon let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head in amusement. For a second, he had grown worried, nonsensical thoughts filling up his mind but here you were, asking him if he could keep you company. Of course he would.
Namjoon nodded, his dimples beaming at you. You mentally sighed in relief and hesitantly held his hand, intertwining your fingers with his. You looked up at him, flashing him the smile that he was falling for. As you led him upstairs, Namjoon's worries disappeared into nothing. He decided to let things go for now. Whoever had broken in will pay for hurting you. Namjoon was gonna make sure of it.

"I'm sorry but what are we doing?" Rex hissed, trying to keep his voice low and inaudible. It was probably really late into the night when he was woken up by Jungkook to follow Hana. Rex was pissed at first, wondering if this was even worth compromising his sleep for. But his love for adventures was far bigger than that for his sleep. Obviously, Jeon Jungkook must have something in mind if he wanted to do this.
Everyone was now aware about your existence, mixed feelings brewing in each member's heart. Some were happy that Namjoon found someone who wasn't related to this darkness that they had to live in. Some were sad that Namjoon hadn't trusted them enough but Jungkook. He felt betrayed, as if he had been cheated on. It wasn't just that. His emotions had been riled up by Hana, whose eyes looked empty since she found out about you. Jungkook had always thought Namjoon would end up with Hana and they'll all be happy but no. In a span of four years, Namjoon had managed to get over her. That's the only possible explanation.
Jungkook was worried when he saw Hana leaving in the middle of the night without telling anyone. She thought she was being discreet but Jungkook was sitting in the darkness of the living room, watching her like a hawk. He couldn't just leave her alone at a time like this so he decided to follow her. Unfortunately, Rex was the only person he saw as backup incase they were attacked.
It was cold, Rex's fingers were numb and he just wanted to go back to sleep. Jungkook didn't respond, his eyes fixed on Hana's figure as she waited at the corner of an alley. Time kept ticking and Rex concluded that this was actually boring. He had thought they'd encounter some villains but what a joke.
They were the villains here.
"Look, I don't think watching a girl, who just wanted to take a walk, is fun. So I'll be heading back now." Rex smiled sarcastically and waved at Jungkook, walking in the opposite direction when Jungkook grabbed the back of his jacket and pulled him.
"If you'd actually pay attention, you'll see that she's not just taking a walk anymore." Jungkook mumbled, his hand still gripping Rex's jacket while he hopelessly tried to make him let go. Giving up, he turned his neck and saw that Hana was now talking to a man. He narrowed his eyes and tried to get a good look at who it was.
Meanwhile, Jungkook wasn't expecting any of this. He had simply thought that Hana was too shocked by the revelation of Namjoon and his plaything. Because that's what you were to Jungkook, a plaything that Namjoon would leave once he realised that it had been Hana all along. And he had come here to tell Hana the same thing but tables had turned. It was now Jungkook who was being fed new information. It seemed like Hana knew the man because now they were exchanging something. It was small and black but that was all Jungkook could see. The streetlights weren't the best either since the man's face wasn't very visible.
Jungkook could make out the cautious expression on Hana's face, an unwanted feeling nagging at him. This was all suspicious and Jungkook didn't know what to do. Should he just confront her? Or should he wait until he found out who the man is?
Their conversation seemed to end, for the man turned around and started walking away. That's when the streetlight completely brightened up the man's face, making Rex's jaw drop and Jungkook's eyebrows furrow. Jungkook was just confused. He didn't know this man at all. But Rex. He had seen this face before all too well on a laminated ID.
"No fucking way!"

Chapter 1
"Oh god, don't do that!"
"Why not? I know you like it," he replied.
"Because I'm going to scream."
"I want you to scream."
"I don't want your driver to know what we're doing back here."
"I'm pretty sure he knows what is going on by now," he snickered before he buried his face back between your legs before you could protest. You did your best to stifle your moans, but your muffled whimpers weren’t much better against the crackle of your bare ass squirming over the leather of the back seat.
He tormented you once again with the move you had just been talking about. Your breath caught in your throat and your fingers immediately reached to latch onto his hair – or perhaps your sanity.
You looked up at the partition separating your debauchery from the innocent hire on the other side of it. The thought of the stranger hearing you come had you caught somewhere between being aroused and embarrassed…
"Oh shit! Stop!” Despite Yoongi’s tight grip on your thighs, you must’ve startled him enough that you were able to push him off of you with little force before you scrambled to dig your phone out of your purse. “I forgot to call my driver."
"I don't see why that means I need to stop," He didn’t stop. Instead, he went right for one of your sweet spots. You turned your head as your mouth fell open and you released another moan.
“Your driver already knows I'm being eaten out in the back seat of a car by a guy I've just met, I really don't need my driver to know that too.”
He looked up at you, his lips curved upwards in rogue delight. “I’ll behave,” he said, but his tone was unconvincing. Regardless, you made the call.
"Hello?" she answered.
"Hi! Where are you?"
"We're just all sitting at a coffee shop nearby. I'll be there in 5 minutes."
"Oh! No, no, no, no. I'm actually..." your body clenched backwards and you silently screamed into the roof of the car. He did it again. Bastard. It took you a moment to re-assume control of your body, but once you did, you reached down and grabbed a fist full of his hair and yanked his head away from you. He looked up at you with a smug and triumphant expression.
Stop it, you mouthed to him.
"Are you there?" your driver asked through the phone.
"Um, yeah. Sorry. I'm actually... uh... you don't need to pick me up, you can call it a night. I'm going out with some people." Thinking you were home safe you let go of the man still kneeling in front of you. He went right back to work. You bit hard on your tongue.
"That's fine, I'm on duty all night. I can pick you up afterwards."
"I... um... that's not..." You were rubbing your forehead, trying hard to focus on what to say to end this conversation before you accidentally sounded off into the phone and gave yourself up.
"Miss, are you okay?"
"Yeah, no, I'm completely fine." Another snicker came from under your dress. He was enjoying this circus. "Sorry. I just, I gotta run. I won't need a car later. Please go home… see your family. You'll be paid for the whole shift."
"OK. Thank-you. But, if you need me later, just call and I'll leave the ringer on."
"Yup. Yup. OK, thank-you!" you rushed your goodbye and hung up. He chose then to take a break, surfacing to give you an arrogant smile.
“I told you I’d behave.” He winked.
"You're a menace."
“I try.” He disappeared between you again and resumed ravishing your core with his mouth. You too resumed your activity: trying to shield as much as you could from the driver on the other side of the partition. It was difficult. You hissed to suppress your moans and moaned to suppress your screams. His tongue and lips were so talented, and you hadn’t had a man touch you like that in so long. You knew you were embarrassingly wet - yet, he didn’t seem to mind, in fact, he seemed to revel in it - delighted that he was the cause.
“Oh, God!” you felt another tremor building, but you were sure you wouldn’t be able to stay quiet this time if you didn’t do something. The stress from the challenge of keeping sound to a minimum nearly caused your body to reject the mounting pleasure. Without conscious thought, your hands stretched through his hair to push him off of you.
“Put your arms behind your head,” he directed you without looking away from his task. You complied, bending your elbows over your shoulders and clinging to the headrest behind you. He tightened his hold on your thighs and backside, restricting your mobility and pulling himself into you further. Then he went to town.
“Fuck!” you whimpered as your toes curled and your nails dug into the leather.
“We’re gonna do that later,” he replied. You laughed at his wisecrack. His tongue was not only talented, but smart - a combination that made it dangerous. It was able to reach and stimulate every spot you needed it to and some you didn’t know needed it. While the tip of his nose is forged a path up your seam to rest over your clitoris, his dangerous tongue followed, licking you firmly in a zig-zag trail from bottom to top - parting you as it did so it could access more of you. You felt it swirl around your pleasure point, lapping it up firmly from once angle, then another, and the another, before it dragged itself slowly back down your folds to rest over your entrance. His lips closed in on you when it got there. His hands left your bottom and made their way under your knees - lifting them to open you up to him even further.
“Ngh!” you called out as he had now breached into new territory. That tongue whirled around inside you while his lips, teeth and nose roved across the surface - you could feel his chin pressed upon you as he tried to stretch further inside you and with greater acrobatics. He had perfect timing and precision with every action he made - before this maneuver became tiresome, he pulled out and made his way back up while sucking hungrily on each of your lips.
He blew a breath of air over your wetness and you quivered as the breeze ignited a new tantalizing sensation. He coiled his mouth around your clit and sucked it once, hard - making you think he was about to work it again. Instead he brushed his lips and tongue across your pelvic bone and down your inner thigh leaving your organ pulsing and begging for his attention. As he made his way back up your other thigh, your body impulsively tried to shimmy across the seat, but you were still anchored in place by his strong hold.
“Fuck!” you said, when he finally returned his mouth to where it belonged - licking you again, parting you again in one broad stroke - exposing your clitoris again, but this time, he clamped his mouth over it then pulled it between his lips and began to massage it with his tongue. “Shit!” Your moans became more frequent and higher pitched as you could feel your climax building and the warm wetness flowing out of you and onto the leather beneath. “Oh, God! Shit!”
“We’re almost there,” he said, as he pulled back and replaced his mouth with his fingers - maintaining your high by rubbing, circling and stroking you.
“Oh god, I know,” you replied instinctively, barely able to form the words. It wasn’t the smoothest or sexiest of answers you could give, but you didn’t really have the capacity to control what you were saying.
He chuckled lightly. “I mean, we’re in my neighbourhood. We’re almost there at my apartment.”
“Oh,” you said realizing “there” wasn’t actually your orgasm. Finally, you would be somewhere private where no one but him could hear you - however, you were so closed to seeing God that the news wasn’t exactly welcome.
“That means I’ll have to make you come in the next few minutes.” His fingers traced down to your entrance and he eased them into you. They slid up your chamber, then curled and straighten over your ridge. You clamped your thighs over his wrist as his foreign digits brushed your g-spot and took your breath away.
His pace at first was steady. His thumb pressed and rotated against your clit, while his fingers straightened, then curled, then straightened, then twisted as they slid back down your chamber, only to return and start over again. But, every now and then he would kick it into high gear, returning in one swift motion - slamming back into you, clamping onto your ridge again, then fluttering rapidly against your walls. Each time you felt as if he lifted you right out of your seat. Each time his fingers flapped violently inside of you; your body would convulse forward. Each time it took your breath away.
“Are you gonna come for me?” he whispered, his breath swept across your face. Your hands were dug into his shoulders and your noses were only inches apart. You couldn’t tell if the vehicle was stopped or if you were still on the road. All you knew is that what was happening to you unbearably gratifying.
He could tell from your expression that you were going to come soon. Knowing this he decided that his mouth was ready for the homestretch. You felt the rhythm of his hand combat slow again, allowing you to relax. You released his shoulders and leaned back into the seat. His lips and tongue once again scaled over every surface they could find. The dual sensation of his hand and mouth in and on you kicked your ecstasy into high gear. He continued his assault, revisiting every move he made that you reacted well too. When he found just the right spots, he quickened his pace and increased the pressure - determined to meet the deadline. You felt your muscles begin to contract as your climax begun.
“Ah! I’m going to come,” you breathed as the sensation began. His fingers fluttered inside you for the last time - their job was to ensure you got there. His warm tongue pressed firmly over your clit - it’s job was to receive your orgasm.
“Oh! Ahhh! Ah!” Your teeth clenched and your body tightened. Your pelvis lifted against him, and he gripped his hands underneath your behind to support you and hold you close. “Ahh!” The euphoria ripped through your veins and you finally screamed out the sound of pleasure which you had been subduing the whole ride - the driver unquestionably heard this one.
Once you crossed over the peak your muscles released and you threw your head backwards, stretching your arms to the roof of the car as you let out a gasp of relief.
“Oh, God,” you gushed.
He rose and wiped his lips. With that same smug, satisfied smile on his face, he stretched out his hand towards you and presented you with your thong.
“We’re here.”

100 Reasons.
This is my first attempt at a Carol x Fem Reader imagine 😅
"I know she has to go off and save the universe and all, but we're in a relationship for God's sake." You stress, Natasha's green eyes washed over with concern as she studies you intently, making a mental note to remove the alcoholic beverage from your hand. "I respect her job but it doesn't mean I have to be happy about it."
The Black Widow's eyes soften and she uses the gap to remove the glass bottle from your hand and set it down on the floor. "I'm sorry Y/N."
"I get I'm being selfish but am I not allowed to? Just like all those other people have issues, so do I, and I sometimes I just want to lay in her arms and tell her about my day or just sit in silence because I enjoy her presence you know?" you glance over at Natasha, noticing the smirk on her face. "What?" You ask, suddenly self conscious. You weren't one to complain but you'd fallen down the pit and just realized.
"Nothing. That was just really... Gay."
You chuckle and push her head away. "Shut up."
Natasha's giggles cease as she looks you over with concerned eyes. "Hey." she makes eye contact, gaining your full attention. "Talk to Carol about it."
"To do what? We're just going to talk and then she's going to go off and save the universe again."
"Maybe." Natasha shrugs. "But at least she'll know how you feel and be more considerate." the red head shrugged before moving her eyes back to the television set.
-
The following day, you danced on the balls of your feet as you stood a few feet behind Tony Stark. You couldn't lie and say you weren't excited about Carol coming home, but you'd decided that you were going to talk to her about your feelings, and truth be told, you were scared of how the message would be brought across considering your emotional state. You wanted her to know, but you didn't want to add to her load or come across as too aggressive.
"I can feel the excitement from here Y/L/N." Tony speaks up and you breathe out a chuckle.
"It's not everyday the love of my life returns from space." you shrug before looking upwards, awaiting Carol's arrival. Estimated one minute.
She lived at the compound, but spent most of the time at your place. She'd tried landing there once, but due to the excitement from getting to see you, almost destroyed your residence. So she stuck to landing at the compound. But you didn't mind going all the way over there, it was like picking her up from the airport.
"Yeah yeah, sap." Tony brings you closer by your shoulders just as the two of you catch the light entering the atmosphere. It becomes bigger and brighter and before you know it, a glowing Carol lands in a standing position a few feet away from you with a bright smile on her face.
Tony releases you and offers Carol a smile before bringing her in for a small hug. "Welcome home Danvers."
"Yeah yeah don't get all mushy on me now Stark." Carol rolls her eyes but accepts Tony's hug, letting out a peaceful sigh.
"Nope. Leaving all that for her." He nods his head towards you before leaving, muttering something to Friday.
Your eyes lock with her brown ones and her grin grows impossibly bigger. She launches towards you and pulls you into a tight hug, so strong it lifts you off the ground. You hug her back with the same intensity, drinking her in. Her scent, her feeling. You bring your hand up to her hair and exhale deeply, the moment you've been waiting for finally having arrived.
She pulls back and sets you back on the ground before giving you an award winning smile, tucking some stray hairs behind your ear. "Hey baby. Miss me?"

You sat on Carol's bed, unsure of how to start the conversation, so you picked at the burnt threads of her duvet, waiting for her to come out of the shower.
She finally emerged, rid of all her intergalactic germs with wet hair. She offered you a smile and fell down onto the bed in front of you with a groan. "I could so do with some sleep right now." she muttered into the comforter before pulling her wet hair into a bun.
You forced a smile as she laid across your stomach and closed her eyes. You cherished these moments - the ones where you could hold her close, or even were just together, but the fact that she couldn't spend time with you because she was tired from her mission reignited the fire you had shared with Natasha last night. You tried to convince yourself it wasn't that big of a deal and that you'd have the next few days to spend with the vibrant blonde, but that was just it - what until another mission came up.
"So how was the mission?" you prompted yourself to ask as you thread your fingers through her clean hair.
"Easy." your skin erupted in goosebumps as she spoke against your stomach. "Didn't take as long as I thought it would but on the way back, I came across a planet in crisis so I had to stop there."
"That was... Nice of you." your voice betrayed you and Carol noticed immediately, lifting her head with a deep frown.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, no yeah. I'm fine." you try, but Carol knows better.
"Y/N." She warns and you give in.
"I miss you."
Her gaze softens. "I miss you too baby. But we're together now."
"No." your eyes avoid her confused ones as you try to keep your voice calm. "I miss you all the time Carol."
"Baby?"
You sigh and try to formulate your thoughts in a way to not offend her. She did just return from a mission and was tired but dammit you had feelings too.
"I know you have to save the world and everything and be a superhero but you do kind of have commitments here..." You begin, trying to steer her thoughts in the same direction as yours, but her brows furrow further. "Carol I'm your girlfriend and we're in a relationship... Yet every month you're off on some new planet and I'm here all alone. I get relationships aren't only about being physically affectionate but..."
"I thought you understood." She mumbles, finally catching on. "That I have extra responsibility. You said you were fine with that." she reminds you and you nod.
"I remember." you can't make heads or tails of her expression. "But like I said, I miss you."
"I miss you too, I miss you so much all the time but I do have a job to do." Carol sighs. She was really tired. You could see that and you could also feel the tension beginning to thicken.
"I know you have a job to do." you huff frustrated that the conversation was going in circles.
"So what do you suggest? That I stop?" she asks in disbelief and you close your eyes momentarily, trying to calm yourself.
"No. I'm just asking for a little more time with you every month. I see you for like five days a month." you feel the tears beginning to pool in the corners of your eyes and watch as Carol nods slowly.
"So you want me to abandon all those people who need help and homes just so you can cuddle and make out a little more?" she scoffs and you swallow hard. This is what you wanted to avoid.
"No." your voice starts to betray you, as does your vision. "But you can't act as though the universe is your responsibility alone. You can't fix the whole universe by yourself Carol."
"I can try." she grits out through her teeth before getting up from the bed and straightening her back out. "You know you were all I could think about on the mission. I just wanted to come home and be with you and relax. But you're building barriers."
"No." you shake your head at the blonde as you mirror her position. "You laid the foundation. It's fine for you to be upset about this, I get that I kind of ruined your expectations. But you can't expect me not to have feelings either." you add before grabbing your keys.
"Where are you going?" she asks, watching you with mild concern.
"I'm going home Carol. So you can rest before your next mission." you nod at her, feeling like it was the right thing to do, before bidding her farewell. "Good luck."

It had been a few days since you'd spoken to Carol, over a week. She wasn't one to apologize, being the hard headed one in the relationship, but you weren't going to apologize either, dismissing your suppressed feelings once again.
Your finger hovered over her contact details before your thumb scrolled downwards and you clicked on Natasha's contact. You put the phone to your ear and waited. After three rings, the assassin's sultry voice filled your ears. "I was just about to call. Movie night?"
"Movie night." you confirm.
_
"I'm glad you spoke to her about your feelings." Natasha voices her opinion, the movie long forgotten as she notices your blank expression most of the time. "Even if it did cause a rift, she needed to know."
"I thought you were Team Cap." you joke and she chuckles.
"I am. But I'm team Y/N too." she smiles at you sweetly.
"Thats good to know." you return her smile before sighing. "How is she though?" you were burning to know.
"Quiet." Natasha sighs. "Closed off. But she went back out this afternoon, maybe she'll have a revelation."
"I doubt. But thanks." you force a smile as you grow sad. Carol left without saying goodbye. She'd always say goodbye. No matter the situation.

You dropped your keys into the bowl as soon as you locked the door and immediately picked up the door stop. Something didn't feel right.
Not that the doorstop would do anything but it was the closest weapon you had. You held the stop in one hand and used your other to feel for the light switch. As soon as you hit it, light filled the room and your eyes grew wide at your living room being covered in sticky notes.
You put down the doorstop as soon as you noticed Carol's sloppy handwriting and picked a note off of the couch.
31. Your smile.
You frowned in confusion and picked one up off the tv.
52. The way you watch movies with me even though you've seen them a long time ago.
You move into the dining room and pick a blue note off the table.
78. You look amazing wearing my clothes.
You move to go into the kitchen, but there's a note over the light switch. You pick it up and read it.
92. You always let me win in video games I don't understand.
You smile at the memories, still not understanding the context of the situation but when you finally put the light on, you see your kitchen littered with sticky notes. All over the cupboards and fridge. You notice a huge one on the fridge.
A Hundred Reasons Why I Love You.
You smile broadens as you pick up the note directly underneath it.
67. You make me a better person.
You glance down at your hand and place all the collected notes on the counter top before hearing a noise from deeper in the apartment. You immediately pick up the pan and raise it to defend yourself, but lower it when you see Carol's glowing form.
"Easy there." she smirks, coming closer as you set the pan back down. "So I only wrote out one hundred, but there are far more in my head."
"Oh yeah?" relief washes over you as you feel a normal setting descend upon the room. "Like what?"
"Like how you take such good care of me when I come home. You always make sure I'm fed, clean and comfortable even if you have work the next morning." she inches closer. "How you never make fun of me for not understanding modern references like the others and instead explain it to me." she stops glowing and your breath hitches as she looks into your eyes.
"How you aways manage to make any place we're in feel like home." she continues, stopping just short in front of you. "How you suppress your feelings to consider mine." she digs into her jeans pocket to hand you a sticky note.
You take it, not missing the heat from her hands she claimed only happened when you were around. Your eyes watered as you read the note with your eyes.
100. Because you always wait for me.
"Nobody has ever invested this much into me." she admits, bringing a hand up to scratch at her head, her nerves beginning to show. "Nobody has ever spent this much time with me or loved me or cared for me like you do. It was a luxury at first and then I began to take advantage." she looks down at her shoes in disappointment.
Your heart ached. This is exactly what you wanted to avoid. You didn't want to make her feel bad.
"Carol-"
"-And I'm sorry. You're right. We are in a relationship. I love you." she brings her eyes back to yours, causing the thundering in her chest to intensify. "I'm sorry I've been such a dick. And I can understand if you want to break it off with me because no person deserves to be treated like this."
You smile at her before taking the step forward, diminishing the space as you brace your hands on her shoulders. On instinct, she places her hands on your hips. You raise your hands and rest them on her face, moving it slightly to get a good view of her watering eyes. "Hey." you brush a thumb over her cheek. "You're stuck with me." you say in a serious tone.
"Carol I love you so much. I love you enough to wait for you like an idiot at every month." you inform her. "I didn't tell you because I want to end the relationship or cause a fight. I told you because I love you and I miss you and I want to spend more time with you. That's it. But this gesture? Really sweet."
"Right? Took me some time. But I really enjoyed making them." she admits before sighing. "I'm sorry. I promise to take you into consideration more."
"Thank you. Apology accepted." you smile before leaning in and giving her a soft kiss. When you lean back, you see her eyes are still closed with a small smile playing on her lips. "Idiot." you mumble before giving her another kiss. "I thought you had a mission by the way." you frown.
"I did." she says nonchalantly before bringing you in for a proper kiss. "Mission accomplished."
