Somebody Who Loves You [Princess Leia x Fem!Reader]

“I don’t like this.” Leia muttered next to you as you both make your way off the Falcon. You felt your heart flutter for a moment just from being so close to her. You had an infatuation with the princess, practically had from the moment you’d helped the boys rescue her from the Death Star. There was just something about her that drew you in, but for now, you were tense. You didn’t like that Han took you all here, but you knew it was the best person to bring the Falcon to to get her fixed up.

“Neither do I, but for entirely different reasons I’m sure.” You replied, turning your gaze toward the door of the building before you, waiting for what was about to go down.

“Look, don't worry, everything is going to be fine, trust me.” Han added, turning around to look at the both of you, though he gave you a bit more of a pointed look than Leia. You knew why. You’d been working with Han and Chewie for years, basically since they won the Falcon and you knew quite well that things were not going to be fine.

All three of your attentions were drawn as the door to the building finally opened and out walked the person you’d been dreading to see.

“Why you slimy, no good, double crossing, swindler.” Lando huffed, as he came over towards you all. You watched his face, his eyes were on Han for the moment, but you knew he’d seen you. “You got a lot of guts coming here after what you pulled.”

You watched as Han mockingly gestured to himself in confusion only for Lando to slowly creep forward before pulling Han into a hug, laughing.

“How are you doing, you old pirate, so good to see you.” Lando laughed, and some of the tensions drained from your body. Lando lets go of Han and his gaze drifts towards you.

You flash Lando a nervous smile and he grins big at you.

“And you even brought back my swindling traitor of a sister. How kind of you!”

“Swindler? I’d hate to hear what you are then.” You replied teasingly as Lando came over to hug you as well. You relaxed fully as you embraced your brother back. Years ago, after Han and Chewie won the Falcon, you decided to go and join them, leaving your brother behind. Lando was hurt you chose them over him, and you’d always worried coming back to him would only worsen things between the two of you. Now though, you were only relieved to not only know Lando didn’t want to shoot you and Han where you stood, but also was just happy to see you.

Lando laughed and let go of you after a few moments, gesturing for you all to follow him inside. “Come on, let’s get you all inside.” He began walking off, Han and Chewie following him, asking him questions as they went.

“He’s your brother?” Leia asked, coming up beside you and you nodded.

“Yeah, we had a falling out years ago and I was worried he’d still hold a grudge. I’m glad to see he hasn’t.” You answered honestly and Leia was silent for a moment before replying.

“I certainly see the resemblance between you too. Cherish having him back in your life. You never know when you’ll lose your family.” She said softly, and for just a moment, her facade cracked, and you could see the hurt and pain she still carried for losing her family and her people. It was a rare moment of vulnerability and you knew you were one of precious few Leia let see this side of herself. It made your heart swell to know she trusted you, even as it also ached, unable to understand the devastation of her loss.

Soon the moment passed and she was back to her normal self, her pain hidden behind a mild look of annoyance at being unable to regroup with the other parts of the rebellion. Silently Leia began to follow after the others, and you were quick to follow after her.

Things had gone horribly wrong so very quickly. Lando had led you all through the halls of his city towards a conference room. However, once the door opened, it revealed none other than Darth Vader waiting for you all. You watched as everyone, even Chewie, were placed into cuffs. When a stormtrooper came to put some on you Lando stepped between you two and looked towards Vader.

“Leave my sister out of this. The deal was just for Solo and his group. Not my sister.” He pleaded and Vader was silent for a few moments.

“She is part of Solo’s group. Capture her.” He ordered and the trooper moved Lando out of the way, placing cuffs onto you and marching you away to wait in a cell.

Now you stood next to Leia and Chewie somewhere in the lower levels of the city, watching as Han was pulled out of a pit, completely frozen in carbonite. You felt a cold fear run through you and you turned to glare towards your brother.

“How could you do this!” You shouted, all eyes turning towards you.

“She’s got a bounty on her head as well, I’m sure Jabba would like two new statues on his wall.” Bounty Hunter, Boba Fett cut in coldly, before Lando had a chance to respond. Next thing you knew you were standing above the carbonation chamber. You glanced towards Lando to see shock and horror on his face, his eyes glued to you.

You turned your gaze towards Leia and saw for just a brief moment the fear and panic in her eyes, as well as something else that made your heart soar. Chewie had a hand on the princess to make sure she didn’t move, but you knew Leia was too shocked to do anything. You felt the platform begin to lower and found yourself calm as you gazed at Leia, things becoming clear as you realised this could be the last time you see her.

“I love you.” You said plainly, smiling sadly at the princess who stole your heart before becoming trapped within carbonite.

All around you was a crushing darkness. It was inescapable as your mind flickered around, sometimes you relived old memories of times gone by.

Other Times you dreamed. And only one person ever occupied your dreams. Her face, her voice, everything about her filled the darkness with warmth and hope and love.

How much time had gone by, you didn’t know.

But eventually the darkness parted.

You gasped as you blindly fell into someone’s arms. Panic filled you just as much as air filled your lungs. You took gasping breaths as you tried to look around, but your vision was dark.

“The blindness is a temporary side effect of the carbonite.” A deep voice told you.

“Who are you?” You asked in a panicked tone. You remembered being frozen in the carbonite by Boba, but that was certainly not his voice. The sounds of a helmet being removed filled your ears.

“Someone who loves you.” Leia whispered softly, pulling you forward into a kiss you happily returned. Relaxing into her arms you knew that your dreams had finally come true.

Domestic December: Day 22

Princess Leia Organa: Someone flirts with your partner

Leia is a powerful, strong, and a undoubtably beautiful woman. Most of her time is spent with other ambassadors, royalty, or high-ranking members of the different governments. That she looked your way at all should be considered a blessing.

Sometimes those important people overstep. You watch them lean into your girl’s space and whisper things not meant for others to hear.

There’s no point in getting jealous. Leia wasn’t initiating and she certainly wasn’t reciprocating. Rather, her face changes into the politest version of a sneer. Stepping away from the individual and walking up to your side.

“Mind staying by me?” She asks, sliding her arm into yours. “Or staying by just a bit closer?”

Princess Leia knew how to protect herself and others. Be it with a blaster, her own hands, or the saber that now hung on her hip. If anything she should be protecting you.

This made her request that much more valuable. She went to you not only for safety but as a status symbol. This makes that smile on your face. The same one that Leia always loves to see.

Of course my puffball! (I'm actually really excited about this request!)

You quickly punched in the key code to the cell block, making sure anyone who came by saw your uniform and badges. Once the door opened, you slipped through and let it shut behind you.

"Hello." A voice said, a questioning lilt at the end of the word.

"Princess Leia Organa," You hastily dropped into a bow, fist over heart,"I'm Commander Y/n L/n of the Galactic Empire."

"You're with the Empire." Leia hummed, sitting up and shooting you a disdainful look.

You sighed, "Princess, I'm sorry, alright? Yes, I'm with the Empire, but my hope was to help you escape."

"What?"

You glanced towards the door, anxious to hurry this along, "Princess, I really don’t have time to repeat myself. Would you like help escaping or not?”

“Y-Yes.” Leia stood, looking confused, but ready.

“Wonderful.” You tossed her a blaster, “I’m sure you know how to use one as a beautiful and strong princess as yourself has been in dangerous situations before.”

Leia cocked an eyebrow, “I’ve never been complimented by a woman before, however great the claim.”

“Expect more.” You smirked.

You opened the door to her cell, and jerked your head in an indication that she should follow.

“Why are you doing this?” Leia asked as you two raced down the hallways, trying not to get caught.

You shrugged, “You seemed so resilient when you came in, however powerless you were at that moment. You seemed like a strong woman, something that is few and far in between. I didn’t work my way up these ranks just to see another woman get shot down.”

Leia hummed, looking at you with an expression you couldn’t pinpoint.

Stormtroopers stomped down the hall and you twisted Leia’s arms behind her back to hide her blaster, marching her forward so it seemed as she was a prisoner.

“And why wasn’t I your prisoner the entire way?” She grunted, twisting out of your hold after the stormtroopers had gone.

“You seemed handy with a blaster and I didn’t want you in restrains if we had to fight back.”

“How am I going to get out of here?” She asked as you two turned another corner, “Ship?”

“Escape pod.” You said, “Sorry that I couldn’t gather a pilot for you, but people would be pretty suspicious if I asked for them to let you go.”

“And will you be safe?” Leia asked, looking at you, “Will they hurt you in any way?”

“Not if they don’t find out I was the one to help you.” You shrugged defeatedly, “But I’m sure they’ll figure it out eventually.”

“Then come with me, Y/n.” Leia looked hopeful, “I can find a place for you in the Rebellion. You would be a powerful ally- knowing the ins and outs of the place.”

“We’re at the escape pods, Your Highness.” Your face hardened, nodding ahead.

“Please.” Leia said.

“I can’t.” You shook your head, “It would only alert them that something was wrong. I can’t do that to you or the Rebellion. And I’m still on the side of the Empire.”

Just then, loud sirens started to go off, wailing in your ears, “They’ve found out.” You whispered frantically, shoving Leia towards an escape pod, “I’m confident that you’ll be able to contact the Rebellion once you’ve landed.”

“And you too.” Leia said, stepping inside the escape pod, “I won’t forget your bravery today, Y/n L/n.” Before you pressed close the door behind her, she reached up and pressed a kiss to your cheek, “Thank you.”

You nodded, letting a small smile shine through the mask the Empire worked up, “You’re welcome.”

The door closed behind her and the escape pod ejected. You quickly ejected all the other escape pods, hopefully getting the Empire off of the trail of Princess Leia.

However short your interaction, you knew that you would never forget the princess, and her you.

her hands felt like silk.

you weren't sure how or why, considering there was no way han kept lotion on the ship, but her hands were softer than anything you've ever felt.

the ship had landed, and leia was welcomed with open arms into a palace full of family friends. han was suspicious, as always, and luke bounced off the marble walls, exploring everything. however, you and leia sat on a long, white velvet couch in the middle of the large room. she sat with her legs bent at a perfect 90 degree angle, while you sat cross legged, minding your shoes and hanging them off the couch.

on leia's other side was han, glaring at the alien family sitting on the couch across from him. they all wore white silk and were perfectly groomed; han didn't trust them. leia made it obvious they were safe, however.

she spoke of their situation openly, her hand holding yours and sitting in her lap. after a nice, warm shower, her hair was steadily air drying, down out of her regular braided buns and grouped over her shoulders. there were subtle curls, nothing extravagant. but she looked beautiful.

as she spoke, you watched her mouth move. you couldn’t help but marvel in how absolutely beautiful she was. her round, plump cheeks rose into apples, rosy and red. her lips, constantly moving as she explained what they were dealing with. her eyes, wide and puppy-like, were a soft brown, the faint highlight of eyeliner lining them, washed away with a shower but remnants still haunting.

and as she explained how she had nearly encountered her doom, all you could think about was how beautiful she was. and how soft her hands were.
