Okay, well I panicked a bit and went a little nuts with the number of colors and the background and the textures, but I think I am getting closer to the soft and ripply effect I want in the mane. I figured out that you can somewhat erase prismacolors to get a softer effect when you’ve overdone something, and that is a very valuable thing to have discovered for someone who is not psychologically capable of planning ahead.

Nostalgia overwhelmed me so I drew the best video game horse, Starshine. His legacy will always be safe in my heart 🌠
Please excuse the whatever anatomy, I was so rusty :')

I took my new knowledge of prismacolors (you can erase them) and zhuzhed up this horse’s mane. Now he’s got a bit more of that fancy horse elegance I had always intended him to have (Not that he wasn’t beautiful before. You were always beautiful on the inside, buddy. And the outside. Just your mane wasn’t ripply enough.)

Today's inktober on the same page as Thursday's inktober painting. The donkey at the top of the page is a Baudet du Poitou. They are both painted with various calligraphy inks.
