And now for something completely different. Posted the first chapter of Yes, I'm a Mess tonight. The second chapter is almost done, so it should be up quickly. I've learned not to promise a certain number of chapters, because there always seems to be more I want to say once I get going.

This is intended to be a place to play with my darker head cannons. This version of Ted Lasso is messy and toxic. He's reeling from the divorce and some of his inner darkness is creeping out. Trent sees this, but instead of sending him running it draws him in.

I wanted to play with the idea that Ted could have someone that he wasn't trying to impress or protect. They both know this is a bad idea and can't go anywhere so it takes away the need to pretend to be better than they are.

Well, all right, then, let's see what we have here....

Willie is absolutely trying to pick pocket Alex. At least to begin with.

Willie works for Caleb, and he's the best there is. There's just something about his easy going, laid back demeanor that stops people from suspecting him. He doesn't know why, but he takes full advantage of it.

The first time, Alex is just a random target. He looks like a rich kid who wouldn't miss a bit of money from his pockets. Then Willie makes the mistake of looking into Alex's face.

Alex is so shocked at the blatant disregard for his personal space that he completely forgets his nerves and demands to know why Willie is trying to pick pocket him.

Willie has always been a fast thinker, so naturally, he tells Alex he wasn't trying to pick pocket him, he just has an amazing butt and Willie couldn't resist.

Alex starts to say something with his trademark sass, but then he locks eyes with Willie, and we all know he's gone once that happens.

It's the first pick pocketing he wasn't successful at since he was 12 years old. He pays for it when he gets back to Caleb, but since he scored a date with Alex out of it, he thinks it is totally worth it.
