Confession time, I have an entire genderbent AU in my head 😅

As the triplets' fifteenth birthday got closer and closer, Almer despaired. How in the world were his children fifteen already? Had it truly been fifteen years since his Pedra was lost to him?
God, Bruna was looking more and more like her every day. She was smaller than her mother had been, thinner and much more quiet. But that face, the hair, that smile...She was Pedra in miniature.
And right now, her pretty face (her mother's face) was creased by an anxious frown. She shuffled from foot to foot, wringing her small hands.
"Papá, who'd want to come to a quinceañera for me?" she asked, looking at him with wide, sad eyes.
"You have that new friend, don't you?" he asked. He absentmindedly patted her shoulder, mentally running through today's checklist of duties and meetings. "Augusta?"
"Agustína," she corrected quietly. "B-but, um...That's just o-one person and-"
"Ay, mija, the village will come. Don't worry, you know they will."
That didn't seem to reassure her. On the contrary, she looked more nervous than ever.
Almer wished with all his might that Pedra was here. This was something Bruna needed her mamá for. She was growing up, a young woman already, and Almer could only do so much.
How his daughter remained so shy and nervous with Pepe frequently rough-housing with her (despite Almer's many warnings not to drag his sister into such antics), he would never understand. She was the only girl in a house of boys and, right now, Almer was sharply reminded of that fact.
Behind Bruna, on the stairs, Pedra's portrait seemed to look at him accusingly.
What did he know of dress shopping, or hair, or make-up? He wanted this to be perfect for her, but how on earth was he to manage that?
Pedra, I need you, he thought desperately. There was no answer, of course. Just Pedra's portrait and Pedra's daughter, her ghost and shadow; his little girl, not so little anymore.
A quinceañera was such an important event. Almer would make sure it was perfect.
Somehow.
He wanted that fear to leave his daughter's eyes. He wanted the shadow of failure and accusation to leave him.
He mustered up a smile and straightened Bruna's shoulders.
"Chin up, mija," he said. "This will be perfect."
"Er...Right," she said. "I-I just...I don't know if I-"
"I'll set aside some time tomorrow to take you shopping, okay?" He began to walk away, chin up and shoulders back, the proud and all-knowing leader of the Encanto. "Don't worry, Brunita. We'll handle it."
He barely heard her quiet, "Right," as he walked away.
(It wasn't until he found Juliano and Bruna in the kitchen at their own birthday, with Juliano calming his sister down from a panic attack, that he finally realised what Bruna had been trying to tell him all along)

Wysteria in the gender bend au is a bit different than my William; serial killer wise. Just like my au of William- Wysteria was horrible abused as a child but particularly by her father. Got pregnant at 10 by her father's assault, grew up in a bad environment, later by 15 she kills her father (just like William kills his mother). However, unlike William- this murder was a form of self defense that got out of hand and after Wysteria saw what she had done she left everything behind taking her little sister Vivi(Vince who is William's brother in my main au)- fleeing hoping to get a better life, especially without the help of Rachelle (Richard). There isnt much known how she graduated high school or how she got into college but she does pretty well- making money on a part time job and taking care of Vivi...despite jumping place to place or living in a car half of the time (Unlike William). Eventually Wysteria meets Helen(Henry) and they develope a friendship which then leads into a romantic relationship where they love each other dearly and Wysteria confesses her fears about her past and only tells bits and pieces about what her father did to her- opposite to what William does in the main au.
Eventually the break up happens and Helen and Wysteria date and marry men instead despite wanting to keep their romantic feelings going. Then Helen is with Emmett(Emilie) and they have Charlie(..Charlie) and Samantha(Samuel).
Wysteria in this au doesn't kill Sebastian(which would be Sarah, William's first wife), though- again unlike William who kills Sarah out of a psychosis attack. So Michelle(Michael) has every right in the world to meet her biological father.
Yippie :D
Then Wysteria meets Claud(Clementine) and their relationship starts off fine before the marriage, but after their vows have been said their relationship becomes very abusive and Claud assaults Wysteria in which she has Eugene(Elizabeth) while at the same time Vivi who was only 14- was assaulted and pregnant at the same time.
Wysteria attempted to over dose on her medication during her pregnancy with Eugene as to miscarry since she successfully made Vivi miscarry with the same medication because there was no other way- Abortion wasnt legal in their state and town.
However...Wysteria did end up hoing into labor- giving birth to Eugene really early on instead due to her medications...and so she got put in a hospital after attempting to overdose.

Too lazy to write more but basically Laurence (Lauren) and Wysteria's relationship is very similar to the relationship Wysteria had with Sebastian which they had a kid and seperated on equal agreement and wasnt abusive.

i studied the blog @chinesehanfu to learn more (hope that's ok?? 😅) and used a few screenshots from shl/woh for reference. i think that if zhou zishu were a woman, she would probably find her femininity as a hindrance, something to be suppressed before others in order to gain respect since the capitol and court were very much a 'man's world'. so perhaps after leaving all that behind, zhou zishu might feel free to kind of explore her own feminine side a bit, and dress in a way she never would have felt comfortable with in front of the prince or her subordinates. like why not wear something light and frothy today?? how about a pearl comb?? why not?? buuuut i think she probably wouldn't go too far with jewellry and such, bc she wouldn't want to be very fussy when there's wine to drink and disciples to yell at 😅 so the one on the left is lady! zhou zishu in tianchuang times, and the right is lady! zhou zishu in jianghu times~ lady! wen kexing will have to wait her turn 🤣

What would you guys think if they made a gender-bend version of Phantom of the Opera? Like how would it work? Would the story progress differently because the roles are switched? Would the time period their in play any factors? ( Mainly because it took place in the late 1800's , and y'know... sexism) Would the ending be different???
But most importantly; would the songs and the lyrics change? ( Most obvious yes because the pronouns would be switched )
Allow me to give my version of what would most likely happen
- Christine Daae as a male would be Christopher Daae or Christoph Daae for short. What was once a deceased father is now a deceased mother and since Christine was a low-key daddy's girl, it's obvious that the guy version would be a mama's boy. Christopher would still retain the same kind, gentle, shy and compassionate demeanor as Christine but gets teased for being too shy for a guy. Let's just say he's considered quite effeminate by the standards of the late 1800's. His story would progress similarly as Christine's, going from a ballet dancer to a lead singer that's stalked to having to choose between two choices of lovers that could result in life or death, the usual. When it comes to the musical moments, i think Christop would either be a countertenor or a baritone hypothetically speaking.
- Raoul de Chagy would be known as Rochelle de Chagy, a Viscount now a Viscountess. Like Raoul, she would probably have suppressed feelings for her childhood friend and became a patron to the theatre that Christoph was in just so she could watch him perform. (Here's where I'll change the plot a tiny bit) Rochelle will try to use money and her status to solve everything and even tries to get Christop to quit the theatre and come live with her, she even tries to pay the phantom large amounts of money to leave her and Christop alone (suprise, phantom doesn't want the money, only Christoph). We all know that Raoul kinda gaslit Christine into thinking that the phantom was just in her head, so Rochelle would likely do the same thing but instead of gaslighting Christop, she would just disregard Christop's fear and calls him a coward, even telling him to 'man up'. During the scene where Raoul had to venture down to the phantom's lair and almost gets hanged, Rochelle wouldn't be in the same exact situation but will face the same difficulties (ex: instead of getting tied up and hanged, the phantom would likely threaten Rochelle with a rifle)
Madame Giry's only change to her name is from a Madame to a Monsieur. Monsieur Giry would still be a strict ballet instructor. He would have a son and be the adoptive father of Christoph. The only difference is that Monsieur Giry has a limp in his leg, that's why he walks with a cane. Monsieur Giry would still be the phantom's messenger and have history with the phantom. He rescued the phantom when he was still a young ballet dancer
Meg Giry would be, i guess Montaigne Giry ( I have no idea what's the male counterpart for the name Meg so Montaigne will do). He would be the best friend to Christoph. Unlike most people in Christoph's life, he doesn't make fun of Christoph's soft demeanor. I think that Montaigne would find the phantom's lair at one point and the phantom catches him and could possibly use him as leverage against Christoph. There was one scene where the phantom hanged a backstage crew member during a performance. In this version, the female phantom would drug Montaigne and hand him instead. This results in isolating Christopher as his best friend is now dead.
Last but not least is the phantom himself, or should I say herself. Eric the phantom will now be known as Erica. She has the same backstory as her male counterpart and with younger Monsieur Giry rescuing her. Since her only connection to the outside world is through Monsieur Giry, a guy. Erica was mostly provided with male clothing and she wore pants as it was easier to traverse the theatre and the sewers much quieter. Eventually she would watch the female performers sing and teach herself the craft as well. Not only did opera come to her naturally, but she was a master at writing plays and songs, producing many plays that would earn the theatre fame and fortune. She had the voice of a siren, able to hypnotise

God I know Zoro is commonly understood as gay, but there is such a strong energy in me for Zoro/fem!Sanji with nigh-identical dynamics to canon, equally as bitchy and rivals and all that, just with an added risk of having to go to Chopper with a bun in the wrong kind of oven.
(Though tbf, manga Zoro is just really demi/gray-ace and could be bi, and also it's a possibility for trans man Sanji, so it doesn't even need to be a genderbend, fem!Sanji just the conversation that the groupchat was having when I started Thinknig…)

“Hey, don’t underestimate me,” he said. “Like I said, I’m more formidable than you think! For instance…” He snickered and made his voice as dramatic and spooky as he could, waving his fingers at her. “My eyes can see straight through your armour!”
Look, he knew she wouldn’t get the reference, okay? He just wanted to mess with her a little. He just didn’t expect her sharp offended gasp, her suddenly frightened eyes or-
SLAP!
That. The harsh stinging slap she delivered to his face, so hard that Luca’s head jerked to the side and he stumbled backwards with a pained yelp.
The Golden Guard stepped back, glaring at him with suspicion and a surprising amount of fear; her cheeks were bright red and her arms were crossed over her chest.
“Aunt is right,” she hissed. “All men are deviants.”
Lil Rascal looked at Luca and tweeted, shaking his head. For such a little bird he radiated judgement. When he hopped towards the Golden Guard, she didn’t even protest this time, too busy glaring at Luca.
“Okay,” Luca sighed, rubbing his sore cheek. No doubt it left a mark. Ed was going to break a rib laughing at him when he explained this. “My bad, I deserved that one.”
