The way Daemon is intensely implied to be a groomer in the book (and the show tried to put it in by making him take Rhaenyra to a brothel but also she's nineteen at that point) and half the fandom now is in panic mode when it comes to these elements and reacts like "no this didn't happen it was just Mushroom talking shit and ruining Rhaenyra's reputation & also Nettles is totally his daughter ahahahah Daemon is just an awsome and very violent dude who loves his family a lot and fight for them nothing weird there at all eheheheh 🥲 just wholesome Targaryen family dynamics".

Rather silently, Morgan comes and sits next to Chrom. It's...a lot for her right now, but she's putting her trust in him once more. Everyone else does, and after their last brush with the Grimleal, she had been avoiding him more than ever. The way she silently leans her head on his shoulder in an attempt to rest beside him is as good as an apology as she's capable of giving him. Morgan hopes he understands.

There was no better than having a moment to rest after a long battle. Only after he checks on the soldiers, the supplies, the current conditions of mounts and other necessities, thinking of counter plan if it was needed etc etc. Being a leader is not an easy job as he thought it would be judging by the knighthood stories he used to read. At first, he thought he was not cut out to be one but it seems like a puzzle piece that fit in the right position--this job is for him. 

True at times he doubt his abilities as a leader but it is the people around him that pull him back on the right track ... and he is grateful to their support and trust in him.

Sitting on the ground after he had done his rounds, he felt every inch in his body aching in pain. This is after all, his first ever break since they marched out. Stretching his legs was also painful but at least that would relieve some of the pain of standing up all day long. It’s worth it ... everyone is back safely.

He can do this for as long as it takes. He can, and he will.

Chrom closed his eyes for a moment, perhaps he can nap for a moment to recharge. Noises of the shepherds going on around him made him feel at ease--they are alive. Everything is alright. Then the noises quiet down when he was finally asleep. He can’t estimate for how long he was sleeping when something leaned against his shoulder. It was not a forceful movement, almost like gentle--not wanting to bother him but stay beside him at the same time. 

Fighting his sleepiness to momentarily open his eyes to see who it was. Was it Lucina? She might be. Turning his head to the side, he took notice of the short silky hair. At first, he was startled in all honesty but managed to not move away. Morgan ...? But ... why? Did she mistook him for someone else? .... No. 

Their relationship is ... not great exactly but he wouldn’t say he dislikes her and does not want to be around her. It’s just ... complicated. Whatever he tries to do to earn her trust and Marc’s trust, somehow backfires on him. It is frustrating business to be honest. This had not happened to him before. Usually, facing people head on like he always does, does the trick for him. He is sincere and whatever he will say, he will do. But for these two ... words and actions are enough .. they need, what he humbly thinks, is time.

Time ... feels like they don’t have that much time with the various battles they have gone up against the Grimleals. The Grimleals from one side and Valm from the other side. Had it not for everyone, Chrom’s spirit would have shattered the moment his big sister had passed away. 

They need time.

He gets it.

He’ll try to give them that.

He realized that his sincerity, perhaps, a poison to those who were hurt. It’s not easy to trust people back again. Something he had taken for granted thanks to his upbringing. 

If Morgan had the courage to come this far and initiate something, the only proper thing is to meet her half-way. Still, he is unsure what he can possibly do in this situation. Seems like he will just have to trust his gut on this, like he always do, and hope he does not incur Marc’s wrath on him. 

Gestures are not that welcomed, too. He’d try to pull her closer so she can rest better, that might give her the wrong impression (not to mention her overly protective brother. welp.) Head pats are his go to gesture but erm ..yeah. Unless he wants to lose an arm for sure.

Closing his eyes, he though of something to say to her. Hmm ... he recalls that whatever he say kind of sounds lame to kids her age, right? Severa did throw that fire ball at him the other day. Ugh ... kids. He’s ..not exactly that old, too!!!

“You did good today. Rest for a bit, okay?”

He paused for a moment, pulling on his cape to drape it over her. “Don’t let your brother beat me to death though.” he threw the joke and returned to his nap. Might as well fill Robin about this. Their kids are trying their best. The hell future they were in ... Chrom is just thankful they are alive here among them. Time will heal their wounds, right ....?

Have a gold star...

I swear, I started this as a wholesome innocent comment on how when Crowley has to think of a prize, after 6000+ years, his sweet head still goes to stars as the ultimate symbol of something beautiful and cherished.

But then I was struck by something: sarcasm.

Both times, when he tells someone to "have a gold star," he doesn't say it with a tone of affectionate irony, like the cool-but-sweet uncle with a rough personality but a soft heart. He says it with a tone of bitter sarcasm, of painful disenchantment.

Because it's not a prize that he is offering; it's a sop, a cruel joke-gift, something that will get you excited at first just because you have a stupid, naive, innocent soul, and you will later realize that it means nothing to the one who assigned it to you, and that they are ready to take it away whenever they want, while the rest of the world laughs at your ridiculous gullibility.

Because this is what stars were for him.

They were his beloved, exciting creation. The star-factory nebula was his cherished task, assigned to him by God, and he believed that it was meant to be a thing of beauty and splendor, and hold value in the grand scheme of the universe... only to discover, immediately after he created it, that it was never intended to have any value at all. It meant nothing to God. It wasn't even planned to last enough to fullfill its purpose. It was a joke, a cruel prank. 

The stars were God's bad pun of giving angel!Crowley something to do, and love, and have hope and expectations for, and then taking it away. Revealing that it was just a shiny piece of gold cardstock that only a simpleton could consider valuable. Of course he can only say "have a gold star" as a dry snarky sarcastic comment on someone who thinks they have achieved something meaningful when it's actually nothing. Be it the Them defeating the Four Horsemen. Be it Muriel being noticed by the Metatron.

Great, sure, have a gold star, be all excited and squealing with happiness, it will turn into ashes before you even know it.

I am not sure that Crowley's snake eyes were ever intended to signal that he cannot see the stars because snakes have bad vision (even ignoring the zoological fact that they are sensitive to UV light though, so they should still see astronomical objects, in the book it says that demons must be able to see at night, and that's why Crowley doesn't need to turn on the lights on the Bentley), but for sure the Fall and Heaven's cruelty has ruined the stars for him, in a way.

Now, in his mind, they are the ultimate symbol of delusion, of naivety, of foolishly investing your love and passion and hopes in something, of stupidly ignoring that the things you cherish will be ruined or taken away from you or leave you on their own accord.

That's also why Aziraphale's "nothing lasts forever" cuts him so deep. That's why his "no... no, I dont' suppose it does" sounds so much like a truth that he is remembering instead of one that he has jsut discovered.

Here you go, you did it again, you thought you had something significant and instead it was just like your stars, you should have known that whenever you find something beautiful it's just a matter of time before you lose it, you shouldn't get too attached.

In s1e6 he says it to the Them, in s2e6 he says it to Muriel. I do hope that in s3e6 he will get the chance to say it again, but this time it will be honest and out of joy, because whatever is going to happen will make him able again to believe that you can be happy, and can hold onto the good things that you love. You can have all the gold stars, for real. They don't always have to disappear and leave you in pain. They can stay with you.

something i like about nona's family is that they're so like, almost a perfect little nuclear family, and then just. not.

like. pyrrha is "the person who works for her" but also the one who makes breakfast and does the dishes. she's a woman quite literally posessing the body of a cis man and really leaning into the look, honorarily trans in both directions, working construction and shaving in the mornings and braiding nona's hair before school.

and then there's camilla, her...nagging wife? troublemaking older child? roomate who she barely gets along with? the fact that palamedes shares this role is doubly weird. he's a man literally posessing the body of a cis woman, and they're both pyrrha's nagging wife/problem child/roomate. i don't personally believe that anything explicitly or overtly sexual was happening between her and either of them, but i completely understand where people who think that are coming from. and it's fucking weird (affetionate?).

even nona occupies a weird place in this dynamic. like. pyrrha is definitely a parent to her but camilla, who takes a much more active role in her daily life, is...idk. nona has a crush on her and wants to marry her and adopt dogs. camilla's feelings for nona are more parental or older-sisterly, in that she cares for her and wants to protect her, and if her feelings are more complicated than that, it's because of the obvious aspects of the situation which make her extremely sad and apprehensive of the future. her affection for nona seems relatively simple.

and then there's palamedes, who is in theory another parental figure (see: camilla's "i'll talk to your mother later" face, or pyrrha's "you're going to make someone a really irritating wife one day, sextus"), but in nona's view of things he seems like something more along the lines of an older sibling, or perhaps a cool uncle, which is funny because pyrrha arguably treats him more like a spouse than she does camilla.

it's all just so fucking weird and jumbled up on itself. pyrrha will kiss camilla on the head and say "i'll be home for dinner, dear," and then turn around and call both her and nona "daddy's own treasures" (don't get me started). she'll kiss palamedes and camilla both on the mouth and tell them she loves them. she'll tell them she didn't love them well, or even wholesomely, and she won't explain what she means by wholesome.

alecto calls her "mother and father." alecto tells her she should've given into her urges and eaten them.

palamedes and camilla are second cousins and queerplatonic and married and the same person and by the start of the book the lines between them are already dissolving.

nona is so so young and she's so so old and she's not so much younger than camilla and she's older than pyrrha can even comprehend and some days she needs help getting her shirt over her head.

and most importantly they all love each other. it's a weird and confused and unhealthy love. it's a love full of tension and annoyance and fear. it's a love that wants very badly to fit a category and can't. but it's love it's love it's love and even when it's over even when it has nowhere left to go it's not gone it can't be gone. it's over it's done you can't take loved away.

You and Charles were back at the cabin you were staying at for the weekend. Charles was talking on the phone with his brothers and his mom getting their congratulations even though you made sure your immediate family members knew before you both decided to post on social media. 

You were sitting by the fireplace, curled up with a hot cocoa wearing one of Charles’ sweatshirts, admiring the ring on your finger, you still couldn’t believe you were marrying the love of your life. It felt like a dream, one you never wanted to wake up from. 

“What are you thinking about mon amour?” Charles asked coming into the living area off of the phone. He sat beside you, wrapping an arm around you, pulling you closer to him 

“Just this” you told him referring to the ring he gave you a few hours prior “Cant believe I’m going to be your wife” you smiled, looking at him 

“I’d marry you right now if it was an option” He told you returning the same, lovesick smile you were giving him.

“I think our mothers would have heart attacks if we eloped” You joked, knowing your mother was already in wedding mode even if it had only been a few hours “I know” he chuckled, agreeing with you 

“Seriously though I’m so lucky” You said giving him a kiss on the cheek 

“I’m the lucky one” Charles told you, kissing your head as you laid it on his shoulder “You’re my everything”.

You couldn’t see him but you could hear his smile and you wore a very similar one on your own face.

This was your forever and you couldn’t be happier.

And now you are now in the cartoon called Hazbin hotel as you just stood there sobbing at not seeing ponies. Where’s fluttershy? Where rarity? AND WHERE THE HELL IS TWILIGHT SPARKLE.

You must have caused a bad scene as Alastor had took your hand and brought you to the hotel for shelter. You told the “nice” man your friend made you come here making Alastor think you got killed by someone. But what’s a child like you doing here?…..

When the whole crew met you, they found you adorable but they were concerned on why a child, most likely a “human” child like you is in hell.

You have a room next to the next lesbian couple. After they cleaned you and having you wear shoes..which didn’t go well so they let you wear a new pair of white socks as you wore a cute pink dress.

Vaggie felt something about you was off. But she felt like heaven had not let you in. So she didn’t press any farther.

Angel gives you fat nuggets because he trusts you to look after him as he works. He never told you what he does for work but you enjoy keeping fat nuggets some company.

You dressed fat nuggets up as a pig princess. Angel found it cute and funny as he took a photo of it to remember the memory forever.

The most to baby you is definitely the Morningstars and Alastor a little bit. As Alastor felt to protect when he first seen you. He always tells you to smile at most to not let anyone see what’s underneath.

Alastor takes you on strolls at times. Even taking you to cannibal town where you can meet his dearest friend. Rosie, an overlord who takes on the cannibal town.

Rosie absolutely adores you! She called you sweetie pie all the time you visit her with Alastor.

I imagine you gave husk ponytails as he just grumbled drinking. He didn’t feel the need to scold you, you’re just a kid. Kids don’t know no better.

You and husk’s dynamic is “drunk uncle x pretty pink princess kid”

Husk hates to admit it but he likes your presence as you help him clean. Although he tries to tricks you to not clean the glasses so you won’t cut yourself.

Lucifer definitely tries to take care of you how he did for Charlie and it’s so wholesome as he would bring you ducks to your room that across of his.

He is such a overprotective father figure-

Angel and you have such cute fashion shows together as you both dress up like princesses💗

I headcannon that Charlie and Lucifer would spoil you rotten like getting you cute dresses or whatever you want as long as you are happy.
