The episode following the fire. Jack dying at the hospital. Rebecca collapsing. Okay. I’m fine. No I’m not. I can’t stop crying it’s too much 😭

Man “Battle Nexus: New York” was a great episode but I do have one major gripe with it.
Like. Raph being paired up with Ghostbear? Makes sense. Works great. Works amazing, even.
Mikey being paired up with Meatsweats? Yeah that checks out!!
Donnie getting…Hypno…? I mean. I guess Donnie doesn’t like magic so it kindaaa works but Kendra would have been a much better choice to me personally. Maybe Big Mama didn’t wanna include a human or something…
And Leo getting…uh…one of the Sando Brothers???? Of all villains? Nah let’s be real, his main villain is more Big Mama herself (or Leo could be considered his own worst enemy lmao-). Hell Hypno would have probably worked better here considering their shared love for magic tricks and stuff, but Carl Sando????

It’s just… it is everything that Cardan thought Jude would notice his “SO OBVIOUS” exile riddle and thinks Jude to not hesitate to come back. Beside his certainty of her cleverness to piece the riddle together, he believed he was that clear about his feelings toward her; he had thought she absolutely ought to know how he feels for her.
Like oh buddy. BUDDY. Your wife had thought of the answer to your little riddle like you thought she would. But guess what? She has detrimental TRUST ISSUES. (Like… Ur super mean and hot, I can’t blame her.) Anyway.. it’s SUPER adorable of him to so wholeheartedly believe she wouldn’t question his trust. It reveals so much about his pov of thier relationship.
Jude thought Cardan’s (silly) trick was a (vile) trick, when it was simply a: “Im trying to impress/pay you back in kind with our romantic metaphorical sparring and eventually get you out of political drama for a bit,” trick.
I’m fucking laughing wow these delusional ass children I fucking love them.

what gets me re: kevin with jean is that kevin is seriously the worst. like we see in-text specifically that kevin used to lean into jean’s space to whisper to him and it seems it was common enough to him that he didn’t think much of it (he did it once for asking jean to teach him french then again to make jean promise not to off himself), he said horrible things like ‘it could be our secret’ and ‘i don’t want to lose you’, he wrote jean memories and notes in postcards, he bought jean silly little magnets, even up to the point of tsc canon he was cradling jean’s face and gently touching his hand. so flirty! no wonder jean was down so horribly. no wonder nora sakavic said kevin was always the problem child

Friends With Benefits Miguel, who hates the idea of being so intimately close and mangle with such complicated, bothersome feelings of endearment and commitment. So he does everything in his power to make sure you both agree and condemn to the terms of his little agreement of just being fuck buddies.
Until he realizes that you finally had enough of having your heart and soul utterly shattered after every heated, emotionless fuck session.
Completely seethes at the sight of you ignoring his calls, turning your back on him when he needed you — watches that brimming, refreshed smile on your face glimmer with such ease and contentment. As though nothing ever happened between the two of you.
Gives you a week to see if anything changes.
But nothing has. Not in the slightest.
He had hoped you would come back to him. Back into his big, strong arms and weighted, stocky body. To spill out your entirety to him in the most vulnerable state. To share your embracing, tender presence with him. To weigh in his own personal, salacious leisure.
His eyes would soften and shallow out with the sight of you finally being honestly happy. Watching you gradually move on without the beck and call of his desperation for a need of "stress relief" and last resort entanglement.
Breaks his heart to finally see you being completely happy and indubitably enthralled with someone that wasn't him. That could actually give you the love and adoration that you solely craved the most.

Since it’s 2024, I think it’s about time for my yearly PSA:
Hey, Hi 👋 in case it isn’t obvious, this is a Duke Thomas resource/archive blog, dedicated to raising awareness for Duke! I’ve got all sorts of great resources linked in my pinned post, including a Reading Rec list, FAQ, and info about our annual Duke Week! (& so much more!)
I want to especially encourage my followers to reblog this to help spread the word. I’m seeing more and more posts in Duke’s tag that are completely missing the mark when it comes to understanding Duke. One on hand, it’s great news bc that means more people are at least aware of duke (yaaaay)! On the other, it means he’s being subjected to fanon flanderization (boooo).
I want to encourage y’all because those kinds of posts are exactly why I made this blog in the first place. Duke is by FAR the easiest batfam member to read for. I’ve also curated a lot of great meta on him over the years & im always looking forward to adding more! Give this blog a follow, shoot me an ask, let’s learn more about Duke in 2024!!!

I made a post about this the first time I rewatched Eleven's run but it must be said again: I love his dichotomy between "fun-loving and joyful" and "angry and borderline jaded" so much. He's talented and good at putting up a front but it all crumbles away the second there's slightly too much pressure, because suddenly he's not young and easy-going at all but ancient and tired and it's taking everything in him to not let the grief he carries weigh him down or push away the people who've come to care for him, not knowing that if he did give in to it, they would absolutely love him anyway.
"He's just a silly little guy" But more importantly he's aged and tired and constantly fighting to maintain the balance between his wonder and joy for the universe and his frustrations and anger with it, and he doesn't always do that well.
I love how outwardly sweet and fun he is, but there's something about those moments when the mask slips and we're reminded that he's seen things that he never should've seen and made decisions that were too much for one person to ever make. And then for a second we see just how much weight he's actually carrying around with him and yeah, it makes sense why he'd rather not show that part of himself.
