The cards:

Hello again! I didn't tell you but I went through a lack of motivation phase. I'm better now but it was really bad at the beginning of this year, I didn't feel like drawing anything and what I did draw felt lifeless, like it was missing something. At the same time, the last chapter of Samatfoe part 4 came out, and wow, that was an awesome chapter. I loved how Sílthéy appeared, narrating the scene and her entrance, I found it so creative. And Toffee's backstory, I actually got emotional on the part where Sílthéy described the events that led to Toffee's parents and brother's deaths. For some reason I still believed Glossarick didn't have anything to do with what happened to Toffee, until this chapter, even though it was clarified since the beginning that he was the bad guy, I think I was still associating him with Glossarick from the original series who, at least in the beginning, was good. Anyway, great chapter, it was an amazing way to finish this part of the series and I can't wait for the next and to see Sílthéy again. Now going back to the drawing, I wanted to make something big, and somewhat detailed to see if I could motivate myself again, so after I read Samatfoe's last chapter I couldn't stop thinking about the characters' reactions at the end of the story, the mixed feelings they were feeling, betrayal, anger, confusion and I wanted to illustrate that, but I didn't want to just draw their expressions. And then I remembered the drawing @sagesilentfire had posted before the chapter update and I thought, " That's it. That's what I want to do". So this drawing is supposed to be the aftermath of the events, how everybody was feeling at the end of it, I tried to use some symbolism here and there in the cards. I'm not sure if I was able to capture the emotions of every character, but I did my best. Just to clarify some things, in Marcie's card that cape is supposed to be the one Marco receives in one of the episodes(can't remember which one), I don't believe Marcie also received one but it is just to represent Mewni, her armor is also one that Marco uses in another episode. Meteora's dress is the one she was going to use in the coronation, I just took Meteora's dress in the original episode and added some details based on Eclipsa and Star's dresses from the same episode. I even put the little bow she uses on her tail. Star's dress is based on her butterfly form(which is beautiful. I love how chaotic and vibrant it is, it fits so much with Star). Also, this is the second time I draw a wheelchair, you can barely see under Star's very fluffy dress, but I hope what you can see looks good. To finish, I also used this drawing to put into practice some new methods in how to draw things, like blood, crystals, tears, and flames, and how to do different renderings and different expressions, and I think I learned a lot with it. This drawing took a long time to make. It is the biggest drawing I've ever made with 125 layers only for the cards, so I really hope you like it. See ya ❤️.

I'm sorry but that Moon Butterfly post is bothering me way more than it should (the twitter user) so, spoilers for Star vs.

If anyone followed the latter seasons of the show, it is revealed that somehow the humans travelled to the dimension of mewni and Glossarick gave one of them the magic wand (that was how it was established that the heir to the throne is prioritized to the woman) and also, that the first mewmans were pretty much colonizers.

They kept persecuting the monsters, took away their land until at some point, a lot of monsters couldn't take it anymore and decided to go to another dimension to find a new home. So yeah, some fucked up implications over there.

And in the end when Eclipsa starts making things better for the monsters. Moon decides to attack Eclipsa's kingdom to take the throne back (there was a whole drama about how Star's lineage isn't the original royal line but that's another thing) and starts working with the literal ultimate monster racist.

So, yeah, calling moon biracial has some fucked up implications.

Speaking as someone completely unfamiliar with this show, sounds it.

I feel like Luz’s palisman is a representation of what’s going on in the writer’s room for The Owl House ever since the end of Season 1.

Build up to a big reveal, get people guessing and hoping, and when it finally arrives, it’s…every animal, instead of committing to one. It’s a new creature with no previously-set-up lore or presence in the show…that is able to morph into anything.

Not a little owl, to symbolize she found a place where she can belong as The Owl Lady’s only true apprentice. Not a little wolf-King-lookalike, to symbolize her commitment to her friends and call back to Eda’s line from the first episode. Not even a little bat or singular animal to symbolize how she’s her own person. Just a lazily slapped-together last-minute creature that might as well be called “Whatever You Want-o-Saurus.”

Kind of like how the show can just be about any character. Oh, you thought this was a show about Luz and Eda, and occasionally their sidekick King, with even more occasional appearances by her new schoolmates? Nope. We don’t pick three main characters to focus on—EVERYBODY needs angst. EVERYBODY needs trauma. All characters must have big reveal moments, love interests, crying scenes, and relearn the same lessons over and over again. By Season 3, Willow, who should have had less screen time than EDA HERSELF, not only has more screen time, but is simply learning the same old half-a-witch self-worth shtick that she learned in Season 1. 

Literally, it would be like if, in Star vs the Forces of Evil, the show zoomed in on Ponyhead, Heckapoo, and Eclipsa, (Hunter, Willow, Gus) and every scene included some reference to their emotional trauma, like a hammer hitting your head in the same spot over and over and over. Meanwhile, Star’s (Luz) screentime is limited but also solely focused on her self-hate for messing everything up, Marco (Eda) gets three lines of dialogue, and we’re treated to much more Glossarick (King) and Ludo (Collector) screen time, where’s he’s no longer funny but nobly self-sacrificial and confident.

Or if Gravity Falls, Season 2, gave Dipper (Luz) plenty of screen time to be an emotional prop for characters like Robbie, Soos, and Wendy (Amity, Hunter, and Gus) while he background-hates himself. Meanwhile Mabel (Eda) is almost written out except for being given two lines per episode about wanting to save Mermando from being turned to stone—oh, you don’t know Mermando (Raine) that well? It’s because he was just tossed in as a progressive love interest halfway through the final season—and Grunkle Stan (King) gets to be completely free of all previous character traits except “must save kids” energy while Lil Gideon (Collector) holds him hostage. Oh, and the interesting villain? The one we’ve been teased with and really are invested in seeing lose? Bill Cipher? (Emperor Belos) He’s just kinda crawling around in the background, powerless until we need to give Soos more emotional trauma.  What I’m saying is, sure, Stringbean looks cool. The Collector looks neat and clearly is meant to be child-murderer creepy (oh but you can still feel bad for him because we poured Trauma™ on him, too.) The big playtime set pieces are definitely going for Gravity Falls’ “Weirdmageddon” vibe. Every character gets a snazzy new haircut and outfit change every three episodes (or ten minutes.) 

But who the heck cares when the story is lazy, unrecognizable, carries itself like it has substance and commits to nothing—except the same old character beats from Season 1 but with more crying?

So You Want To Watch Star

but don’t know what episodes to watch!

That's completely understandable! Star is the type of show where the first season and a half feel like an entirely different show from the godsend that is the second half! So here's your guide on how to get to the good part.

On the fence? This show features an incredibly queer narrative told through straight people, along with showing the complexities of racism, classism, capitalism, privilege, and love, and how those tie together. It's heaven for people who love to analyze and learn from cartoons, as well as simps for healthy adorable romance. As a She Ra and Owl House fan...it's worth the watch.

Eclipsa will reach a breaking point... and it’ll be Star’s fault.

I don’t know how you guys, with everything happening with Eclipsa trying to change and have people like he makes me really feel for her.  I love Eclipsa and I’m proud of her for wanting to change but at the same time, this has been just pure toucher for me to watch her have her be rung through the wringer!  The last couple of episodes have shown her trying to improve herself and this woman has been literally sacrificing everything for everyone to trust just look

(events that happened in Episode 6 episode)

She let the people who might have Yadayada berried her free! And they still villainized her and said that she let them go so she would look better! She tried to change her image but then she decides to be true to herself and opens up and truly tries to be vulnerable with her song but yet people still dislike her. (Amazing sing voice by the way :3) She allowed the spiderbites to ridicule her the love of her life right in front of her and you can just feel her just trying to hold it in. The anger the frustration and hatred, and even after you can still feel how passive the spider bites still against her husband. 

But do you know why she started on this path of redemption, and why she wanted to be a better queen for her people instead of herself... it’s because of Star. When she body swapped with Rhombulus she had a chance to free her husband and she was about to stop until Star intervened! She’s the reason why Eclipsa’s going on this trying to change, going on this sole because she feels like Star believes in her. That’s the only reason why she feels like she can change and put up with this nonsense.  As long as she has one person who believes in her she’ll be okay. That’s why my jaw dropped when Star lied to Eclipsa, when she hid the piece of the book of spells from her. Which shows that Star doesn’t trust as much as she (Eclipsa) thought she did. 

And look I know some of you may think that Eclipsa just wanted to find the book of spells to free Globgor behind Stars back that doesn’t, yes that may be true but with her most recent actions of passing up the chance of freeing Globgor when she body swapped with Rhombulus (because in the book of spells if you read it there is a spell that neutralizes Rhombulus crystals and breaks a person free there is a spell for that).

But to me narratively that doesn’t make sense since she been trying so hard to change. Sacrificing her ideas and beliefs for a group of people who hate her. The mistrust of Eclipsa has been built up too much and their’s no way this has not been emotionally been affecting her. She wouldn’s betray Star unless she was emotionally set-off. Similar to how she attacked Moon in order to protect Meteora her daughter... 

 Can you image how Eclipse is going to feel when she finds out that was the case? Once she finds the book piece and sees that Star straight up lied to her she’ll just take the book piece and pretty much go “why should I please people who aren’t even going to trust me no matter how hard I try everyone will always think I’m evil!” And just take and revive the book of spells, freeing Globgor with her no longer believing she can change. Eclipsa being extremely hurt, the one person she thought believed in her doesn’t trust her; with her thinking  “you’re no better than anyone else” or “I thought you trusted me” and she’ll just break.  Cutting ties with Star, meaning she no longer has control over what's happening in the Kingdom...

1. Because, like Moon's tapestry, Star's tapestry is an exageration of what is going to happend.

2. Because, as Marco said in his magic induced trip, he became really small and is hidding in one of Star's pockets.

3. Because, since he's using the wand, he might get his own tapestry for some weird reason.

Diary page #10, Weather: Rainy...

Today...was.... I could not get out because the weather, so i decide to explore more inside the temple; i made a torch with some wood and the gum i recolect from the forest and i started to travel; i wonder who was living here before? I mean, there a lots of frames, scultures and other stuff, like chair, some jewels, mewmans clothes or even some skeletons of animals. Well, like analyze some things, but this its quite a huge mystery, i had this kinda of feeling that i should be here, but at the same time i cant help to be cautious...cautious, for what? The its when... i saw it... A huge room in form of a circle, with a enormus crystal in the middle and inside, was a creature... i surprised when i was contemplating this scenary, and something in me, made me get closer and even touch the crystal that ... and when a saw my hand, i notice how similar we are... even the horns and the tail...Was going on here? Why we look similar? Are we the same of monster? My father never talk about it, more least my mother... she was always denying everthing... so, who its this creature...?

My mind trying to process all this information, when the little man surprise me from behind... i almost drop the torch by the shook he give me, but he just ask me what im was doing here... i commented about being fired and how Dennis bring me here; then he suddlely ask me  if i meet Toffee? I dont know who was this person its, but the little man looked very serious about it, so i reply that the only one who live here its me and the only ones who had visit me before was the lizard boss and his underling... After making a grunt, he saw the creature in the crystal and said that he is a Size-Shifter, a antique monster who had the ability to change size... and that i was one too.

He said a lot Size-Shifters died because of the wars and many through there were extinct, so its no pretty rare to hide one or two... and he can train me to use this ability? I ask him some time to think about it and he said he will return tomorrow in the tea time; i dont know what to do, there a lot of questions here! ...In this times...I really miss my father....

What I expect from SvTFOE S4

I binged all three seasons in 3 days for this. Also, wall of text warning.

So to start off with, I'm gonna list where we left off in S3.

Luto is recovering

Marco kissed Star and told Tom about it

Moon is still missing

Eclipsa has the wand

Eclipsa is with Globgor

Glossaryck left after dropping a giant middle finger on the cast

Mrs. Diaz is close to delivery

Star's family is illegitimate

The good monsters have left Mewni

The Magic Counsel has been revealed to have undermined the family line

Star has potentially given up her magical power

When Star fought Meteora, she used up all her power on one big attack, and it almost looked as though she specifically severed it from her. This might not be the case, but I feel it would be an interesting plot point for Star to overcome.

Now, if this season follows the same patterns as previous ones, the first third-half will be focusing on the antagonist revealed at the end of the previous season. In this case, it would be Eclipsa and Globgor. However, we still don't know for sure that Eclipsa is evil, and a lot of what we've been shown implies that she's not even bitter about being imprisoned for so long. Globgor, on the other hand, could very well be looking for revenge. There are two ways they could go about this: Globgor is just as kind and peaceful as Eclipsa says, and she isn't evil either, and they play supporting characters from now on, OR, all that innocence and stuff to make us doubt she's evil was specifically so they could shock us that she's actually totally evil or at least unleashes a great evil in releasing Globgor. Judging by all that's happened and from a writing standpoint, the latter seems far more likely, especially since Eclipsa has the wand now. My guess is that she releases Globgor, who then attempts to take revenge on Mewni for imprisoning him. Whether or not she helps him, I'm not sure. I think Globgor is going to be so powerful that Star will need to unite all the kingdoms, including the good monsters, in order to defeat him, and this will help solve the racist divide in Mewni as well. She'll most likely be dealing with the potential loss of her power at the same time, but might have some residual Dip Down left to use sparingly. I expect at the end of this Star will begin to gravitate away from Tom as well, due in part to Tom getting jealous over Marco's kiss. This will probably take about 5 or 6 episodes to get through, leaving around 15 left for the rest of the series.

After this, we'll get some slice of life episodes that include the aftermath of the unification and Marco Jr being born, with either Star getting the wand back from Eclipsa and letting her use magic again or her working towards connecting back with the magic of the world, with Gloassarick showing up sparingly throughout. We'll probably see Luto again as well, just as he's finishing up his recovery, and some more Tom development. We'll probably get about 4 or 5 episodes from all this.

After this we'll get back into the meat of the story, this time dealing with the Magic Counsel, their crimes, and Star's illegitimacy. During this point we'll probably also find Queen Moon again, although she's most likely been severely changed in some way. The Magic Counsel will most likely be disbanded, and potentially exiled. I expect around 4 or 5 episodes for this.

Finally, Luto will return, and after his arc finishes Star will either return to earth with Marco and things will go back to how they were in Season 1, or Marco and Star end up getting engaged and stay in Mewni, and the final scene is Star's family tapestry finishing its final threads.
