"Well, this is a bad idea," Tim says, hands on his hips as he surveys the mess they’ve made in the cave.
"Nah," Danny replies, twirling his screwdriver in the air in what is probably meant to be an impressive trick to inspire confidence, except he fumbles it and it clangs to the floor loudly, "we good. If a younger version of myself hasn't come forward in time to stop me, how bad can it be?"
"Shouldn't it be the other way round?"
"What?"
"Normally, it's an older version of yourself going backwards in time to stop you, right?"
"Not in my experience."
Danny's grin is impossibly feral and a shiver runs up Tim's spine.
"This is definitely a bad idea."

all teary eyed at his doorstep, letting him wipe your tears away with fake sympathy on his face.
“you’re just bad for me, rafe.” you mewl, looking up at him desperately like you just didn’t know what to do. there’s that helpless expression he missed so much!
“i’m bad for you oh okay— if i’m so bad for you, sweetheart… why are you here? what, you tellin’ me that ‘nice guy’ of yours didn’t inevitably treat you like shit? n’you just had to come crawlin’ back on your hands n’knees to the big bad mean rafe cameron. that right? did—did i get that on the nose, baby?” he tilts his head and you look at the floor, unable to meet his eye.
he scoops you chin up to look at him anyway. “i must be so bad huh? lettin’ you come back here, where you belong… knowin’ i’m gonna take you upstairs, make you cum, wipe those tears away. hm… yeah… i’m awful.” he shuts the door behind you, pulling you in.

You are adopting a certain point of view, you have to at least defend it. There's no Hamas in the West Bank and they're still dying there so what's your excuse?

Irondad fic ideas #102
When Flash first overhears Peter talking about the "Stark Internship," he rolls his eyes and thinks, "Of course he'd go with that excuse at Midtown School of Science and Technology."
Whatever. Flash knows the truth. He's seen the car that Parker gets picked up in, seen the body guard / chauffeur and the absolutely insane amount of discrete safety tech he always has on. Flash is convinced that the whole orphan thing is just a cover story and Peter secretly has parents at least as rich and influential as Flash's own.
Maybe they're politicians or the mob or something, and that's why all the secrecy. Honestly, Flash is doing him a favor by bullying him all the time for being an unimportant orphan. It's the perfect cover. Maybe he'll even drop the ridiculous Stark Industries lie and come up with a more believable backstory soon.
Then, one day Flash and Peter end up in a kidnapping situation.
The kidnappers take Flash's watch, but they leave some of Peter's tech since it's better hidden. As soon as they're alone, Flash expects Peter to hit that panic button and get them the hell out of there.
Only... he doesn't? Did Peter learn nothing from K&R training? Flash reaches over and hits the secret panic button 3 times immediately, no hesitation. Peter is shocked. Flash is like, "Oh come on, I obviously know your secret."
He's kind of curious and excited now to see who Peter's secret parents are, once the cops get them out of there.
He is not at all prepared when Iron Man bursts through the door.
He's even less prepared when Tony Stark steps out of the suit and totally freaks out at Peter, hugging him and checking for injuries.
... maybe he's finally met Peter's secret parent after all.

i'm still very sad they didn't do anything at all in season 3 with the Nate & Roy dynamic they'd been building off in the background for the first two seasons, because the layers there were really fascinating.
Starting with like, Roy being the only one to vocally and actively stand up for Nate in season one. At the time I think Nate was appreciative, but I think in hindsight, (rightly or wrongly) it quickly morphs into this mindset that Roy is sort of patronizing and has long viewed him as this weak thing in need of protecting. It feels (in Nate's mind), like Roy swept in to play the savior when it convinced him, but even that was based more around his hatred of Jamie than it was about liking Nate. And we see Nate later think himself proven correct in that thinking after he kisses Keeley and confesses and Roy...barely reacts. Roy, who is furious and angry about everything and everyone every day of his life, is suddenly like "Oh it's fine" when Nate has kissed his girlfriend. Nick Mohammed's commentary that Nate actively saw that as a micro-aggression was so fascinating and makes a lot of sense.
Then you have Roy, who did see season one Nate as someone to protect, but then was also driven to his best performance on the pitch during his final season by Nate's no-bullshit speech before the Everton game. That scene is so effective because it's such a jarring departure for the entire team from how they've previously viewed Nate, and it works for Roy especially because Roy respects people who don't give in to the intimidation he's constantly goading them with and instead tells it to him straight, no words minced (this is why Roy gets along so well with people like Rebecca, Keeley, and Ted, and why the breakthrough moment with Jamie is Jamie calling him out at the gala, etc.). I think there IS a part of Roy that doesn't respect Nate in season 1, which is why he later reacts how he does to Nate's kiss with Keeley, and it's a mindset he's vindicated by when Nate turns on Ted. But that also gets all mixed up with moments like the Everton, with the evidence of Nate being such a good strategist that Roy later finds himself deeply envious of after becoming a coach himself.
During the time they are both coaching together, there's a dynamic there where they both (I think) believe the other person doesn't take them seriously, and it's rooted in a little bit of truth (on both sides!!) that's then wildly exacerbated by their own insecurities. Like, Nate is intimated by the fact that Roy is this rich famous hotshot publicly beloved, so that it feels way out of Nate's league to even be interacting with him. At the same time, he also thinks Roy is a bit of an asshole who doesn't see him as a threat because he doesn't take him seriously, and is (fairly) offended by it. Meanwhile, Roy is intimated by Nate because Nate is so clearly so intelligent, which I think is something Roy is insecure about in general, given his own education being superseded early on by football. He sees Nate as being a more adequate coach than himself because of this. But he also thinks Nate is spineless and whatever respect he had for him (fairly) dissolves completely after Nate goes to the press about Ted.
So it's like, this messy mixture where they both have something the other desperately wants but they can't see at all why the other would possibly be envious of them due to their own insecurities. They are, imo, the two most insecure people on the show in completely different ways. They hate themselves far more than they hate each other, yet they displace the weight of that feeling onto each other; Roy by treating Nate with indifference and Nate by dismissing Roy in his head as an asshole hotshot whose had a great life handed to him and doesn't even appreciate it, whereas Nate has to fight tooth and nail to find success. And it all boils down to them not understanding one another while also having a lot in common under the surface.
Anyway, I think it would be super interesting to see how their friendship or even just their relationship as coworkers develops after season 3, as they both make active attempts at overcoming their insecurities and doing better by themselves and each other.

purely fanon jason vent below so feel free to ignore
every other fic in the jason todd tag whether its romantic or platonic or whatever just has to include something about the no kill rule or him giving up killing like is it not enough ! have we not hashed out this argument enough already ! can I not read some jason content without having to be randomly bombarded by the morality police and how “oh jasons not killed anyone for x amount of months thats great! we knew u could do it jay”
and I wish I was just joking like I really do but I have scoured the tag almost from top to bottom and it always, without a doubt, has to come up at some point. its his fucking defining character trait apparently. mind u he’s not even the only dc character that kills but yall just won’t let it go! I do not need jason giving up his stance on killing to be written out for me to be able enjoy content about him
and whether its included so that his relationships with other characters can be viewed as ‘realistic’ is just so. what does it matter. its already fan-fiction who the hell cares about justifying the universe that you’re choosing to write him in

That scene in episode 5 but with pilot!Radiousk:
Alastor walked down the hallway. Lucifers presence was not entirely.. welcome and he certianly did not like how the King of Hell was taking away Charlies attention, trust and dependence away from him but considering he was mostly just here for his own entertainment and any of his plans have yet to fail him, Alastor is not overtly angry about him. This was just a small, insignificant set back and even if it wasn't Alastor was sure that he would find some way to at least find some entertainment in it. Besides, Mimzy was here for a visit. It had barely been more than half a year since they have last seen each other but he was glad for her visit anyway. At least some pleasant company to outweight the bad one.
Trying to ignore Charlies charmingly naive but neverending chatter about 'redemption', Alastor was not all that annoyed nor tense when he heard Huskers voice coming from behind him. "Oh Boss, can I have a word?" For effect and drama rather than intimidation he turned his head back in a way more fitting to an owl than a deer or man.
"What is it?"
"You and I both know that Mimzy only shows up when she needs something . That b*** is trouble. And who knows what kind of demons she f*** with to come running to you this time."
And wasn't this slight underlying tone of mild concern just adorable? Even after all these years, Husker still thought that there was something or someone out there who could harm him, the Radio Demon? And while Alastor did not understand the cat demons bleeding heart for nearly everyone around him now that he was much more sober throughout the day, he thought that perhaps it was only natural for there to be some strange sort attachment Husker must feel for him. How amusing..
"Don't you worry your fuzzy head, Husker.", Alastor said as he ruffled the fur on top of the cat demons head a bit in a gesture that managed to be both condescinding and affectionate. "Who in their right mind would cross me?."
Husker was, as usual, not very appreciative of Alastors gestures.
The tip of a claw touched Alastors chest, something which in any other case would have left the one doing so in quite the painful state.
But this was Husker and Husker did for the most part know how lucky he was.
"You may own my soul but I ain't your f*** pet."
A twist of his spine and a sincere laughter at Huskers expense and Alastor was off.
While he was walking, Alastor said.
"Relax, my feline friend. I was only joking. Or maybe I wasn't."
Another laugh.
"You.. You...", oh Husker was really angry trying to come up with something to mutter under his breath and Alastor was all too happy hear what one of his favorite souls would come up with.
Only to be met with the satsfying "Oh forget it.", as Husker failed to came up with anything.
Yes, everything was just wonderful in this game, once one (Alastor) was able to ignore the King of Hells short little visit.
