Wally is so happy that Bart see his boyfriend, Roy, as a father figure and just so happy for him. It's wholesome, cute, and being thrown away for Wally giving Roy that glare batman coined yet it's more scarier on a speedster, who everyone forgets can be more than their public persona of Happy-go-lucky, and he looks over at Dick for help, and like a good boyfriend saves Roy's ass. Sirius claims that he overheard other Azkaban inmates speaking of Peter, so the other Death Eaters blamed him for Voldemort’s fall, and that’s why Sirius and Remus believed Peter stayed a rat for so many years, he was afraid of free Death Eaters harming him but Peter also said he knew Sirius would escape somehow, so it’s really up to the reader to decide who to believe on this; maybe it was both.

Also, James might’ve been up in the afterlife encouraging Sirius and Remus to kill Peter since Peter got Lily killed, framed James’s Sirius for James’s murder like Sirius was ever capable of thinking of harming James, and led to Harry living with the Dursleys. James and Lily were getting ready to square up in the afterlife only to get monumentally disappointed that Peter wasn’t going to die yet.

see, i’m combining these because both of them have a james in the afterlife scene, even if they’re on two different ends of the spectrum and i just wanna say i love both possibilities.

no. 1, of course, i love because it’s protective james + someone getting mad on sirius’ behalf. also there’s an element of subversion where the morally black & white guy is advocating for murder and that appeals to me. quite a bit. it’s also a bit funny if u imagine harry saying ‘dad wouldn’t want this’ while james is screaming ‘NO NO NO! I DO WANT THIS DAMMIT’ in the afterlife as he looks on at this train wreck. also, lily & james have been preparing all year to welcome peter when he gets there bc they were so sure that it’d happen. sirius literally escaped azkaban and this would at least be one part of his plan, right? so they come up with all sorts of creative ideas, rope in others for the execution, and sit their asses down in anticipation. finally, d-day is here, they’re so eager they can’t think straight and bam! murder-blocked by their own son. betrayal.

no. 2 is funny from a mom friend!james perspective. sure, deep down, he wants revenge for himself and his family. he hates that peter’s actions had dire consequences for sirius and harry but at the same time, what harry said. he doesn’t want his friends to become murderers. not fully bc of moral/ethical reasons (i think james can accept the darker side of his friends if required) but bc of the logistical issues of it. his priority rn is harry’s well being & sirius’ innocence being proven (and i guess remus getting a better life but meh. see if i care). neither of those will be accomplished by peter being murdered. in fact, it will be actively detrimental to the latter.

he’s also probably stressed as fuck due to the utter chaos that’s being spread. there’s limbs being broken, shouting & shrieking everywhere, secrets are exposed mercilessly & sirius still hasn’t explained a single thing. harry is looking at his godfather with mistrust and rage and it was never, ever supposed to be that way. on top of all this, severus fkn snape has to make an appearance bc when has he ever been able to resist sticking his leg into others business? it’s too much, too fast, and none of it seems like it’ll end well and it’s giving him a stress ulcer up there in the afterlife where he’s supposed to be chilling & not feeling any humane emotions. but oh well. when has james potter ever listened to stuff like that? so yeah. i can see him fully panicking as well.

Mama!Sabo AU

Aka how Sabo became the mom of his alternate self™

So basically Sabo gets transported to the past, or atleast he thinks he did. He actually transported to an alternate dimension, which is really similar to his own but with tiny little differences.

Sabo is currently a woman cause he was undercover and Iva turned him into a woman before some shenanigans happen and Sabo gets yeeted to another world. At the start, he tries to find a way back home. He explores a bit, and realizes he's back in time thanks to a newspaper.

There he meets younger versions of himself and his brothers. Since Sabo is somewhere during the Wano Arc, he has already gotten his memories back and is now being really emotional when he sees Ace. Sabo then very patiently gets the alt!ASL brothers trust cause he wants to protect all of them. Yes even his younger self since he now sees the younger blond as his brother. He did tell them the truth, that he's the older version of Sabo (not true, but he doesn't know that), and he told them that cause he didn't want to lie to them.

Alt!Ace and alt!Sabo think he's gone crazy, only alt!Luffy believes him. But here's the thing. He's currently a woman, and a very sweet and nice one at that, so the alt!ASL brothers are more willing to trust him. Especially since our Sabo reminds them of Makino. Even if they still think that Sabo is a little crazy. Of course, Sabo eventually manages to convince alt!Ace and alt!Sabo that he is 'future' Sabo. So the four become close, so close that it seems like Sabo has always been a part of them.

Sabo feels responsible for them and acts like a complete mother hen. He does know not to smother them, but he does act like a good brother(mother) to the boys. Since he's a woman at the time, the boys can't help but think of Sabo as a mother figure, or as a big sister. He's just so sweet to them and is so. soft that they can't help but think that way

(it's cause Sabo feels guilty that Ace had to raise Luffy all by himself. So he's trying to make up for it by acting like a proper 'big brother' by raising them. He ends up being more of a mother hen)

As time goes on, alt!Ace and alt!Sabo find out that Sabo is still trying to find a way back to his 'timeline'. Neither of the two want this, and keep Sabo distracted, by acting clingy, which causes alt!Luffy to get clingy as well. Alt!ASL follow Sabo around like little ducklings, which is extremely adorable.

One day, Luffy calls Sabo mom. Which cause Sabo to tear up and become so happy. He didn't realize he was being a mom, but he doesn't mind that his little brother sees him as one. Really, he's just happy that Luffy sees him as a parental figure(also angst that Sabo thinks that he doesn't deserve this second chance to take care of his brothers, since he failed to do that in his own past). This starts a trend, where alt!Sabo and alt!Ace also start calling Sabo 'mom'. Sabo thinks their just joking around and still refers to himself as their 'oldest brother'.

Sabo's just so happy and absolutely loves his brothers, even when they call him mom. He's blissed out, and has completely forgotten to search for a way back home.

Alt!Ace and alt!Sabo are just happy that Sabo has stopped searching for a way back. They're never letting Sabo go, he's their mother now, and no one will take him away from them. Alt!Luffy is also just as selfish, wanting to keep Sabo in their 'timeline', but is totally fine with following Sabo back to his 'time' even if it breaks the whole timeline.

Alt!ASL one day bring Sabo to town with them. Sabo has been gathering information and mainly hid from everyone, so no one really knows who this strange but beautiful woman is. All they see is a woman with soft, curly hair parted in a similar way to Ace, with brown eyes similar to Ace. She's got blond hair, similar to Sabo, with rounded features like Luffy and Sabo. And when she smiles, she smiles just like Luffy. Her skin was pale like porcelain, the only thing out of place being a horrible burn mark on her face that only made her look beautifully fierce.

The demon brats call her mom, bringing her place to place, and soon, introducing her to Makino. They overhear from the blond brat about her having amnesia, only recently gaining her memories and theories fly.

I think that like. Sariel went through so much trauma and everything so i do want to dot on him, but now he's growing in a more healthy environment, so i feel like at least he has enough autonomy and independence that i don't have to feel like i need to protect him always.

Troue is in a situation where i'm just, so, so much more worried about him that it activates my protective bone too much. The amnesia and sleepiness is already something i'm really, really gravitating toward being protective about (because i relate to it a lot so i instinctively want to protect like that), and the fact his amnesia restarts everyday already makes me feel like he needs a little more help because it means every day you have to walk him through his life all over again and it's so painful for him.

Now, with the Felix situation, and knowing Troue is probably still In There, unable to do anything, able to feel Felix doing horrors to his friends, while Troue himself is unable to do anything about it, if he can even recall all of this enough to be horrified while Felix is in control... it stresses me out so much. It makes me want to take Troue in my arms and cry and tell him everything will be alright. Makes me want to protect him even more than i would otherwise.

Sariel went through countless of horrors but now he's at peace so i'm much more willing to let him grow on his own without needing me yaknow. But Troue, Troue genuinely breaks my heart and i would do anything to protect him.

so by all account, Troue is my pick. He's my most baby. I want the world for him.

anon I am shaking my brain around but im having trouble even thinking of 5 mother hen Hawkeye moments. he's got a couple- the entirety of Operation Friendship with BJ, and The Red/White Blues with Potter- but im having trouble thinking of more? he definitely has a lot of protective moments, but im not sure I would classify those as him being a mother hen, more just... generally protective. I feel like he gets the mother hen treatment more than he gives it

"the guys are absolutely done with the system" moments, however, I have to think very hard about because im not letting myself cheat and say "all of them"

5: BJ's rant in Bombshells when he gets the medal after he has to leave the wounded soldier behind. the defeat of it, the anger, the exhaustion... I would rank this higher but im not a fan of how he acts like Hawkeye couldnt possibly understand what he's feeling. still a great moment, and his sentiment about feeling cheated by the system cause he did everything right and still ended up here is just. BJ Hunnicutt thesis statement

4: I think this moment is in War of Nerves but Klinger telling Sidney he refuses to be told how and where to die, how and where to stand when killing someone else, and how to dress. I could honestly just say Klinger in his entirety is a favourite for this prompt, but this moment always sticks out

3: Hawkeye building the monument in Depressing News then blowing it up. its really his one last big hurrah for his anti-military antics. like, sure, he still feels that way, but we dont get a big display like that again. I really like this episode in general, and shoutout to that speech he has with BJ about how they're all expendable just like the tongue depressors

2: the entirety of The Incubator, specifically when Hawkeye and Trapper break into the conference. the entire episode is them being sick to death of the system and fight it as high up as they can get to, and its fantastic. one of my favs tbh

1: Hawkeye storming the peace talks in Peace on Us. just one of my favourite moments in the entire series. Hawkeye, ragged and exhausted, in his bloody scrubs, telling them they need to make it stop... man. such a fantastic scene
