A lot of Helena stans have pointed out that solo Jason stans steal Helena's purely benelovent killer thing and you guys are 10000% right but as a Jason stan who actually reads comics i'd like to point out that on the flipside,Jason treats Roy like how they think Tim treats Stephanie

The Batman: Reborn era was missing more of Helena Bertinelli being an aunt-ified older sister to the younger Bat kids.
Steph would have a similarly violent, stubborn, scrappy, bruce-hating, rough-childhood-having, purple-clad hard hitter to project onto and be competitive with and have unhealthy complexes about.
Tim would have both a stone cold shoulder to cry on and another loved one to fall out with! Helena enters her apartment one day to Tim bleeding out on her couch and Lucius Fox’s daughter rummaging through her fridge. “Tim said you could help…and that you have food.”
Helena could introduce Cass to Renee Montoya for an adventure and Cass could go a whole arc convinced Helena and Renee were dating. Idk, maybe she never realises they aren’t too.
And imagine being Damian; your three bisexual-sorta-stand-in-older-siblings-turned-parentified-as-fuck-guardians were also in a love triangle that was an actually triangle and just not two lines, AND this is your introduction to non-assassin human society. Also Helena’s a cat person.
And maybe when tensions reach a boiling point, Helena, Babs and Dick can have a massive argument and all fuck.

pssssst hey quick question on the dl - who is helena bartinelli??
i cannot answer anon questions on the dl, so answer on the up-high, which she deserves:
HUNTRESS
Tumblr media
a.k.a. Helena Bertinelli, a.k.a. Gotham's coolest and most notable antihero, crossbow-wielder, and purple bat-associated vigilante.
Helena was born to an Italian mob family, but spent her childhood blissfully unaware of the family business--until her entire family was slaughtered in front of her when she was eight. She stayed with family overseas for the rest of her childhood, learning how to fight and protect herself.
She came back to Gotham for both vengeance and justice, and became one of Gotham's many vigilantes. Though her focus is on the mob, she'll step in to stop any crime.
She's also a schoolteacher! Good for her.
She is discerning in who she chooses to kill, but she does kill. As you can imagine, this put her at odds with Batman for a long time. Helena is pretty much the premiere example of Bruce trying to claim control over every vigilante in Gotham, no matter how little right he has. The argument on killing/ethics is valid, but his default was basically "do exactly what I say and fall in line under my command, or stop completely," which is why he's an asshole control freak and why I'm constantly mad about how she was treated 👍
Tumblr media
She was an absolute mainstay of the Batfamily before Flashpoint (2011) and it is personally hurtful to me that people don't know her. (Like, to be frank? She had far more of a presence than Damian or (living) Jason in the post-crisis era.)
You could count on seeing her in any major Batfamily crossover, from Cataclysm to Battle for the Cowl.
She was central to the biggest Batfamily crossover ever, No Man's Land, where Gotham was locked off from the rest of the country and turned into a lawless wasteland. Bruce left to sulk for the first couple of months and in absence of any other vigilantes in the field (only Oracle having remained in the city), Helena donned the mantle of the Bat for herself to protect the city. And when Batman came back, in return for all she'd done, she got...yelled at, assigned impossible tasks and criticized for not achieving them, her costume stolen and given to someone else, lied to, abandoned in the face of impossible odds, and shot multiple times protecting kids. Absolute fucking hero, honestly.
She also was on the Justice League for a while, though admittedly I have barely touched that run. To my understanding, despite nominating her for the position, Bruce was also the one to revoke her membership there.
Fortunately! things improved!!
In the early/mid 2000s, Helena joined the Birds of Prey, Oracle's team, and found legit friendships and support there with teammates like Dinah Lance/Black Canary. She finally got more respect in the community, and had a much better time.
Additional relationships include:
A big sister/annoying little brother type thing with Tim, who may disapprove of her killing but simply likes making friends too much :)
A great relationship with Vic Sage/the Question
One single issue where she met Steph that presented SUCH interesting potential that I desperately wish had been followed up on
On and off romantic/sexual tension with Dick, depending on the writer, which culminated in a single hook up that apparently most people around here would rather pretend didn't happen, though I really don't think it's that bad
A complicated relationship with Barbara, partially due to clashing personalities and conflicting morals (with Babs being nearly as much of a control freak as Bruce), and partially due to a shared history with Dick because DC loves making women be catty
Surely others from her first solo or time on the JLA that I don't know well enough to list!
Tumblr media
She's rad and determined and takes no shit but cares a lot, and I love her. We deserve more stories tying her teaching day job into her night work. We also deserve more stories with her in general.
If you would like additional Helena beyond just cruising my tag, I recommend:
Batman/Huntress: Cry for Blood - far more Huntress than Batman, this is a great 6-issue miniseries about Helena reckoning with her past, ft the Question.
Batman: No Man's Land - if you have the time for it, a big storyline but worth it.
Birds of Prey vol 1 (1999) - Helena starts to appear around issue #57 and becomes a central character from there.

The Fine Print part 3
A dpxdc universe travel fic featuring Grandma Xandau [link], Mama Helena Bertinelli [link], reincarnated Ghost King Danny and Father John Constantine [part 1] and [part 2]
If you try the links please let me know if they don't work.
Danny followed John Constantine through Gotham, a block away and easily blending into the crowd. It was good to be home, after the past few months he spent tracking the elusive occult detective down across the continent.
What would bring him to Gotham in the first place? Danny had no clue in all honesty.
Gotham was his Haunt. While the Batclan dealt with the normal threats to the city, Danny had been dealing with the paranormal threats. Gotham was huge though, and Danny wasn't even fourteen yet. If he had missed something that Batman called Constantine to fix...
Danny pulled a Crypt candy from his pocket, letting the hard sugary ectoplasm sooth his overactive imagination.
He didn't have anything to be ashamed of, at least not recently. If Batman was only now suspecting the Joker's death had Occult orgins, then it might not be a high priority case to solve. And Danny didn't regret what happened to the Joker. It was an accident...mostly.
Danny started trying to untangle Gotham's Cursed Nexus last year. He underestimated how cursed his City was though, and thought it would be like untangling soul curses. He knew a lot about that, as Ghost King he had to be. Souls couldn't move on if their soul was cursed, and it was painful for a ghost to exist if they were only existing in the Realms because of a curse.
But Gotham, while similar, was different. First of all, Gotham was in a living realm. Secondly Gotham was such an Old city, with generations of families that lived and died here, so full of the living and their emotions, so full of culture and personality...Gotham should have a City Spirit. But the Curse was draining the energy that would go towards the City Spirit to nourish itself.
Danny had grabbed a fistful of the Curses and he just overpowered it. The strands fraying and snapping. It cleared just enough to see inside the knotted tangle of curses, a baby City Spirit struggling to form.
He hadn't even known the Joker was part of the Curses that plauged the city, though hindsight made it pretty obvious. The Joker had been murdered, had died, several times according to the Justice League database. But somehow he kept being brought back to life.
Since Danny shattered the Joker's connection to the City Curse, he would not be coming back.
If Batman had an issue with that, Danny would drag his egotistical ass to the City Spirit so he could explain to the soul of his home why she deserved to suffer-
Danny crunches the candy between his teeth. A forcefully calm breath.
Untangling the Curses was going to take longer than he had assumed last year. Yet he was making progress! There was no need to get John Constantine involved.
Danny followed the blond to Wayne Mansion.
Whatever Batman had to say to the Foreigner Constantine, he could say to the Gotham Resident Constantine too.
What's the worst Batman could do anyway? Say no? Call his mom?
Danny wasn't sure Batman knew his mom's Civilian phone number though it would be funny if he did. It was about time mom had the chance to demand child support anyway.

You know, that recent post with more thoughts on bio mom!Selina has given me an idea. Because Bruce and Selina, in one version of canon, have a daughter. Helena. Huntress. Consider: Another twins au, but with Danny and Helena instead
You have activated my DC knowledge, and I hope you know that >:3
Helena's character is a little more complicated and I am here to ramble about that before I get to the meat of this ask. There is a universe where Helena grew up to become Batwoman, not Huntress. And that is because she was raised by her parents and didn't get separated. But since you specifically mentioned Huntress, I'll try to stick with that one.
For anyone that doesn't know this part of DC comics that well, something you should know is that there are two Huntresses. Helena Bertinelli and Helena "Bertinelli", otherwise known as Helena Wayne. In the New Earth and Prime Earth comic series, their version of Huntress is the real Helena Bertinelli, whose family was a part of the mafioso and she was dubbed a "mafia princess".
But then, there's Earth 2, where Helena Wayne was actually Robin before being sent to another universe alongside Kara (more specifically, Power Girl) and ended up taking the alias of Helena Bertinelli, who had existed in this world but had been missing/presumed dead.
So where does that leave us? [Added a Keep Reading because this got long lol]
Since you specifically addressed Helena as Huntress, I'm going to be using this comic run:
You could probably write a story about how Danny finally finds Helena again and the two reunite, thus revealing that Helena had lied to almost everyone and she was indeed Helena Wayne once upon a time. And this of course would lead to revelations and heart-to-heart discussions about Bruce and Selina's relationship and what kind of parents they were. I like to imagine that when Danny reunited with his family for whatever reason that separated them, Danny becomes Robin as well. So there are two Robins stalking the streets and scaring the living daylights out of criminals.
However... if you wanted to make things a little more interesting, we could take this version of the comic and take it for a little spin.
In the original canon, Helena has already operated as Huntress for years before Damian figured out the deception. She's already an adult, and largely on her own.
But in this case, we can make Helena freshly from the other universe. Lost and unsure and all on her own. Enter Batfamily. The moment they get her in their sights they realize that oh, she's Bruce's kid from another world/timeline/whatever their first assumption is. And then, when they get her to open up, she reveals that she has a twin. Bruce is Unwell at the information and Helena is inconsolable because they only just got him back, and now they've lost her. Her parents are never going to let her out of the house again after this!!
Meanwhile, Danny is losing his mind and their parents are trying to do everything to get her back and it's a whole mess.
If you want to make things a little more interesting, you could make Danny and Helena the only Wayne children, so that when she goes to the other universe she's super taken aback by how many siblings she could've had and "isn't that our neighbor Tim? Tim Drake? Danny's bestest friend ever? What are you doing in that egghead suit, Danny would be appalled to see you dressed like that."
Something I will have to say is that we probably don't get a lot of AUs like this because the rest of the Batfamily would probably be adults and there's a rather large age gap between Damian (as the youngest) and Helena + Danny, in this case. Unless you have them from another world, of course.
Think... Batman Beyond, with Terry McGinnis. It's an amazing series, but pretty much all of the main characters that the fandom typically writes about are retired. There is no Nightwing or Red Hood or Red Robin. Damian is alive but he's back with the League of Assassins. Let's not talk about how Tim and Barbara are married.
I think this AU could be really fun, and I'd be interested in trying it out some day. But it is one of the trickier instances. But no less exciting because of it. ;3

I just found the Dark!Shepherds AU and it got me curious. You likened them to the Justice League a bunch, so what superheroes would the ROs be? It doesn’t have to be DC either, Marvel works too.
Hi there, the #superhero tag also has some answers that are analogous to this (like what would be their favorite superheroes would be in a modern AU or what a literal #superhero AU would look like with them as the Justice League), but if you're talking about which literal real-life DC/Marvel superheroes they'd be or what roles they'd fill in their version of the Justice League, I think:
Blade: realistically he's probably Batman, but without the remorse over killing... so maybe Cassandra Cain or Damien Wayne without being a little kid?? Let's just go with Batman (he can share the role with Riel down below) - paranoid and tetchy, hyper-vigilant, keeps to the shadows, does a lot of his work in secret, trained by the League of Shadows before turning against them if we're putting in Batman Begins lore, etc.
Trouble: Superman or Captain America (idealistic, good-hearted, patriotic, etc., the "face" or mascot of the League)
Tallys: Vixen, keeps to herself but definitely still a member of the League, cares more about helping the world/nature than her social dynamics with the other heroes. Could also see her being Huntress (Helena Bertinelli JLU version) for her desire for revenge and her rivalry with Black Canary (aka Lavinet) below
Shery: Oracle or Red Tornado (Young Justice version); takes on a more secondary, overseer role or even the role of the homemaker
Riel: Batman (the tactician, world's greatest detective, would always be prepared to bring down the others if they became too powerful/corrupt, would keep files on their strengths and weaknesses, etc.). Ironman, of course, would also be a very fitting analogue for him: billionaire genius inventor who uses tech to supplement his lack of natural powers
Chase: I feel like most of the superheroes are most analogous to him are female LOL I feel like Catwoman (thief, antihero, oftentimes aligns herself with the good guys--especially recently) is the closest idea I have, but I'm open to hearing others!
Red: Dr. Fate (magic-user who dabbled with things he shouldn't have) or Dr. Strange? (idk anything about him to be honest, my knowledge heavily skews DC, but if the vibe fits)
Ayla: Hawkgirl (JLU version): distrustful of outsiders, has her own secrets and motivations, fiery but a powerful hero who comes from another land (or, more accurately, another planet)
Briony: Starfire--bubbly, a bit ditzy, extremely passionate and emotional, wears her heart on her sleeve, "foreigner" who has to learn (or relearn) the ways of the Earthlings and acclimate fast
Lavinet: Black Canary (Dinah Lance)--trained by a mentor to rival Wonder Woman in combat prowess despite being a mostly normal human, joined the League against parental protest and permission, but also has strong social and mediation skills/emotional intelligence (Young Justice version)
Halek: John Constantine? I don't even remember if he's a part of the League lol but, you know, exorcist, chain smoker, kind of disenfranchised... it fits in my head...
Mimir: Raven (Teen Titans version)--I imagine their voices being very similar, too!

Height and Bodytype Headcanons for the Batfamily
Note that most of the people I hang around with are germanic and tall. I recognize that 6 foot is not the average height for men, but it is around here, and that affects my concepts of what's normal!
-
Dick - 5'11" (180cm), and built like a martial artist/ballerina. So, slim with noticeable muscles. Can be shorter if the people he's around aren't all giants - I like him being one of the shorter people in the room.
Babs - 5'10" to 5'11" (178 to 180cm), and angular. She's got boney, pointy limbs and face. She had noticeable curves before her accident, but has never had a particularly slim waist - she's just busty enough, tall enough, and had big enough thigh and butt muscles, to look thinner than she was. Still has the chest, but her large shoulders and softer stomach has changed her silhouette. I like her being taller than Dick in heels, but don't care too much in flats.
Jason - 6'2" (188cm), and built like a Large Rectangle. Big boned, muscular, AND chubby. Jason being at least a little chubby is IMPORTANT to me. Is either slightly shorter OR slightly taller than Bruce, so height can vary to make this possible.
Tim - 5'6" (168cm) and has a similar build to Dick, but usually slightly less defined. Weight fluctuates quickly - he has to concentrate on his diet to keep weight on - and fat usually appears on his limbs first, making them look softer and less muscular than they actually are. But when he forgets to eat a few meals it becomes obvious that he's in shape (if you somehow manage to see him without his usual 3 to 5 layers). You are allowed to imagine him taller but you ARE wrong.
Steph - 5'8" (173cm) and curvy. Anywhere from slightly chubby to moderately fat is good with me. Muscles are never visible no matter how in shape she gets and this frustrates her. ¿Why must she look so cuddly?, she wants it to be obvious she can kick people's teeth in!
Helena (Bertinelli) - 5'9 (175cm) and almost as angular as Babs, but scaled thinner/narrower. Average chest size, but breasts are long/droopy, and don't project much. Lack of curves and small bones make her appear weaker and less muscular than she is. Do not be fooled. Though her proportions also contribute to a subtle sense of hunger and intensity that many people find subtly uncomfortable.
Cass - Anywhere from 5'4" to 5'8" (163 to 173cm). I have no preferences as long as she can wear Tim's clothes. Build like Small Rectangle. She is all muscle. No room for curves. The only weight she gains is muscle, no matter how much she eats. Japanese wrestler Mayu Mukaida seems like a good reference.
Damian - 4'6" to 5' (137 to 152cm) and he ... look, I do not know how to describe an 11 year old. Muscle isn't visible, he just doesn't look noodley. Or chubby. Like, he's 11! That's his body type! (I HAVE an 11 year old. They come in noodley, sticklike, chubby, and not varieties. If you draw that kid with defined muscles you're telling me his family is abusive and okay with warping his skeleton.)
Kate - 5'7" (170cm) and her face is the most angular of the bunch, but the rest of her is stocky gymnastic curves. (Female gymnasts can have SUCH cool bodies - lots of muscle, but none of it defined. It doesn't look the same as fat-based curves, but it also doesn't scream 'muscles' to the casual observer, and I love it!) Her muscle turns to fat QUICKLY, and then she has to build new muscle which doesn't affect her fat deposits much, so she usually has some chub. (Especially when recovering from injuries.) Fat usually appears in her breasts and thighs first - she has a LOT of bras to account for frequent cup size changes.
Duke - okay, I know adult Duke is going to be around 6'1" (185cm). And I know 15-16 year old Duke hasn't finished growing yet. But I don't know how tall he currently is! He's more muscular than most of his siblings, but also lanky. Big hands and feet he hasn't quite grown into ... Hmm, I have decided he was 5'5" and almost stocky when he first started hanging out with Bruce, but has grown at least 3 inches since then and they're having to limit how much he trains because he doesn't HAVE any bodymass left to convert to muscle, it's all going into height. Next month it will be 4 inches.
Bruce - 6'1" to 6'3" (185 to 191cm) and BIG shoulders. 70s martial artist-shaped Batman is really cool, but modern musclebound hulk also seems accurate. He is Shrödinger's Bat. My Batman started in 1939 (which is 15 years before 2011 and 16 years before 2023) and it doesn't make SENSE for him to be 6'3" then. But he is now? Maybe he had a growth spurt when he turned 30. Height can vary to properly scale with current child.
Alfred - 6' (183cm), thin, and boney. He matches his pencil-thin mustache. NOT frail. No old-people bird bones! He's still in his mid-60s. Enough muscle to lift an unconscious Bruce, but it remains a mystery where that muscle is hiding.

You get to be in charge of one (1) DC character. You can make whatever changes to their characterization, backstory, powers/abilities, what have you, as you please. No one else can alter your decisions, and must stick to what you've given. You may not alter any other characters beyond how they interact with the one you've picked, and they will retain their current characterization in all other media.
Who do you pick, what do you change, and why?
Oooh okay so this is a super fun ask and I wanted to answer it to the best of my abilities, which is why I've been reading/re-reading as many comics as I can. So my knee-jerk response was Talia, but then I realised there's another character I have a soft spot for; Helena Bertinelli.
So her backstory in her initial appearances is very different from the most popularly accepted version, the one we see in 'Cry for Blood'. Since that's also my favourite version of her story, that's what I'd stick with, especially because it completely changes the tone of the story.
Helena has to put in a lot of work to unlearn what she's been taught about her family and their line of work, staying up all night at times reading up on the mafia and their influence. However, in practically every other iteration, she pretty much despises the mafia instantly, becoming Huntress only to avenge her family's death and then constantly wondering whether or not she should hang up the cape for good. The conflict would have been interesting if it had been developed properly, but for the most part, it only cheats her out of more of her autonomy.
That's also the reason why I think her multiple 'unmaskings', like the one in Huntress (1989), where a cop unmasks her when she's unconscious, should also be erased, especially because her consistently being stripped of her autonomy doesn't get addressed satisfactorily.
Personally, my take on Helena would focus mostly on Cry For Blood's characterization of both her and Sal (I'd completely erase Huntress: Year One if I could.). Her dynamic with him is very interesting to explore, because while she loves him and sees him as a big brother figure, he's never actually a good guy, or against the mafia in any way. He's the one who trains her, who feeds her need for revenge, and she never says a bad word against him, but at the same time, they're on opposite sides.
I can only imagine the conflicted feelings they'd both experience if DC chose to have a plotline where Sal seeks out revenge for the various mafia families Huntress has put down, including his own, and starts trying to figure out her identity. The themes of omerta, loyalty, an eye for an eye, etc., are extremely prominent in her comics, and this would up the stakes quite a bit, since it's literally the last member of her family she still has. It would also leave the choice of revealing her identity entirely up to her.
Helena's aloofness is also something interesting, because she often longs to work with Batman and hates herself for it in Huntress (1989), works well with and cares about Tim in Cry Of The Huntress, but likes to keep to herself for the most part. However, she's shown as super self-isolating at random points and I'd erase that, too, because trying not to get attached and completely cutting yourself off from people and your own feelings to the point of leaving a man in a pit for four days are two very different things.
As for her weaponry, her crossbow is iconic, but I would like to see her fight hand-to-hand more often, because the few glimpses we do get are awesome and I crave more. I would like DC to acknowledge her intellect more often though, and to bring back her original brashness, where she'd punch you in the face if you pissed her off.
Oh, and I'd also like to erase certain portions of her No Man's Land characterizations, where she's pretty unsympathetic towards kids because that was absolute bullshit. She literally went searching through a city infected by a plague with no cure for one of her students!! Why would she ever consider hurting or abandoning kids who are clearly struggling?!
Oh and also, less of a change and more of a question to DC, but I'd like to know what the fuck happened to the Waterfront Warrior and James Cooper (a kid she's hinted at having adopted or something??)
Thankyou so much for this ask!! It reminded me of how much fun reading comics can be and got me back into DC after so long. All the love in the world for that<3333

@lizarr7 replied to your post “yknow it’s occurring to me that I just sorta...”:
the helenas confuse me far more than the karas
NOOO the helenas are so straightforward bc i made Sleepwalker up so she's not real and doesn't count. thats just OC Helena
CTDE Helenas is really easy bc it's just Helena Wayne and then her Evil Sicko Counterpart i made up, whom she would shoot with a gun on sight if we let her. and we should probably let her
the canon helenas are easy to juggle IMO bc they're pretty distinct. but oh if you don't actually care about the intricacies of dc comics: dont open this post. dead inside
like ok yes dc comics might have 3 helenas waynes and at least one or two other helenas (wink) but they're like on a linear timeline so it's pretty easy i think.
helena wayne 1 - the daughter of batman and catwoman - was introduced in 1977. she uses the Huntress name until 1986, when a building collapses on her and she dies, and then the multiverse collapses on everyone else. this is dc resetting their continuity and starting over from scratch, so it all stops existing
helena wayne does NOT come back post-scratch, but is instead reimagined into a new character with a different backstory, called helena bertinelli. helena B sits on the Huntress Throne un-contested for over 20 years. on this blog we mostly ignore her because she's not helena wayne (sorry)
(you ask helena wayne to explain the 25 year gap on her resume and she's like "i was straight up a different guy")
(the comedy of my comics blorbo dying in 1986 is not lost on me)
in ~2011 dc scraps everything and starts over Again, with the new 52 publishing initiative. in this new continuity a lot of characters are given completely new backstories (which are noooot created equal). but on the upside, Helena Wayne 2 somehow crawled onto the Huntress Throne
(now, helena B had been the huntress for over 20 years, so she very much had her own fanbase at this point, who i can't imagine were uh Stoked about helena wayne walking back in and going "oh helena bertinelli can't come to the new 52. why? because she Died Off-Screen". the vibe probably was not friendly there) (but i think it turns out that helena B faked her death or something anyway??? idk that might be completely wrong i'm not really sure i dont really pay attention to her it just FEELS likely to me)
although she's still BatCat's daughter, Helena Wayne 2 is characterized differently from 1, and (per the n52 convention) has a totally new backstory and setup. so she's overall definitely a different guy from helena wayne 1. she smells different. the vibe here makes me think she's doing some conceptual spit-swapping with helena B (thinks about two helenas making out) oh my
anyway, the new 52 publishing initiative ended and everyone generally breathed a sigh of relief. the last time we saw Helena Wayne 2 was in ~2016 or so i think and i doubt we'll see her again. another helena wayne locked up in the vault. helenas waynes just get put ON ICE which i think helps keep things from getting tangled in my mind? they get tidied away 😔
helena B gets to keep the Huntress Throne to herself (and a swaggy new design if i might say so myself) for another ~5ish years or so, before the appearance of Helena Wayne 3 (Current Helena Wayne) who is AGAIN written differently with a different character setup, making her--in my opinion--a Third Distinct Helena Wayne
this one's BatCat's daughter from the future. but because she time traveled back and changed things, her future has ceased to exist and she's stuck here with the rest of us losers. this means YES currently helena B and W are coexisting in harmony, PEACE AND LOVE ON HUNTRESS EARTH!!!
and that's where we're at right now.
for me it's easy to keep the helena Ws straight because they're all different guys and occupy different time periods and never overlap each other. they also have different designs from each other. maybe it's more confusing if you get distracted by helena B in the middle, since she does occasionally overlap with them, but she's a separate guy and i'm very good at going "oh thats helena B so i don't rly care" (SORRY!!!! IM SURE SHES LOVELY!!! I REALLY DO LIKE HER WHEN I READ SOMETHING SHE'S IN I JUST DONT SEEK HER OUT)
most of the time, if you see helena in the wild, it's probably helena bertinelli. that's another thing that makes it kinda easy. when in doubt: probably bertinelli to be honest MDSHBFJSD
the lack of overlap and the very linear out-of-universe timeline make the Ws pretty easy to tell apart for me. i like all 3 of them, but i like them quite separately--they register as different guys to me. generally speaking CTDE characters are rarely 1:1 with a specific comic but as an exception, ctde helena is very easy to identify as being based on specifically Helena Wayne 2 because the main comic shes in is like my comfort comic <3 <3
and sleepwalker is 100% made up but helena would shoot her with a gun as mentioned.
the only thing i know about helena B is i think she might be catholic.

What if Miss. Bertinelli taught Damian...?
IDK if this is like she doesn't know who she is and she sees him in her day job (or she does know who he is but also sees him at her day job and they're both civilians) or she teaches him stuff as Huntress when he's Robin :P
I think that in school Damian would probably have positive rapport with most of his teacher since he's diligent with his work and pays attention. I imagine if he did one of those over-the-top extra credit things (like we see him in a super sons comic do like.... multiple pages of extra credit essay for a single exam question) she would be like "please don't make me grade this ;_;"
She'd be teaching English Language Arts according to canon so she would be teaching something he doesn't already know* which means he hopefully would find her class not boring :P I think he might kind of remind her of James (her adopted son) as well.
if she knows he's Robin and they've interacted before she might be a little surprised that he seems more subdued in school (which he's like. still intense for a middle school student but :P he also doesn't seem to try to dominate the room he just answers questions when they're posed). he would probably also be very surprised to see her teacher voice if he knows she's huntress XD Because like you have to use a different set of social skills when interacting with high-schoolers (or middle schoolers) Most batfam members would probably be very surprised to see teacher-mode helena (except in my head she turned on teacher mode a little when she was interacting w/ Tim as Robin and Tim got spoiled by vigilante lessons that had good pedagogy before he had to go back to Bruce XD)
Since Damian is a lot less prone to let other people take the lead when he's Robin I imagine they would have a different rapport if she was trying to teach him something as Huntress when he's Robin. But I also imagine that especially when he just joins the Batfam he appreciates her general lack of judgment towards him (and they could potentially bond over being assumed to be more dangerous/ready to kill people than they actually are). Also obligatory plug to my fanfic one-shot I wrote where fresh-out-of-LoA-Damian interacts with Huntress during final crisis (link)
*Like obviously he has lots of the skills you develop in ELA classes but he presumably hasn't read every single book they're gonna read.
