and by ask i mean just tell you that you're going to prom with him

you're sitting next to him in the common room doing homework and he just goes

"go to prom with me."

"you're a royal asshole, you know that?" and then you pack up your stuff and go back to your dorm and he's like wait shit fuck that's not how that was supposed to go fUCK

you've thought he was attractive since your first year but didn't think he would be interested

and then, when you became friends, it seemed abundantly clear that he was too busy training and going on missions to have a relationship

he's mentally taking note of the products you use and the colors you like so if you ever ran out, he could get them for you

you come out of the bathroom and ask him how you look and he genuinely feels like he's suffocating because he can't breathe

after like 30 seconds of staring he just

"damn."

is attached to you at the hip for the remainder of the night

i'm not kidding

his arm is around your waist at all times unless you go to the bathroom or he goes to grab a drink

brags about how good you look at any chance he gets

"yeah, see that dress? i helped pick that out, assholes," he says with a shit-eating grin and the rest of his friends are like 👍ok bro

they know how big of a crush he's had on you so they're amused by how smug he is now

if you force him onto the floor to slow dance he forgets all sense of rhythm

keeps stepping on your feet

tells you to move even though he's stiffer than a wooden board

has no idea where to put his hands and can't look you in the eyes without turning bright pink

you kiss him on the cheek and he fucking freezes LMAO

turns over his shoulder and sees his friends with their phone cameras out like paparazzi (he doesn't mind)

asks you out properly at the end of the night and it's not just a command

instead of "get lunch with me sometime" it's

"get lunch with me sometime? if you wanna, you don't need to if you don't want to-"

and then you kiss him! to make him shut up! and he's a feely mess for the next three days straight until he sees you again

“are you serious? you just told me you ‘missed me so much’, but you’re letting me leave just like that? am i just some sort of play date to you?” i ask, sitting up. anger, sadness and confusion written all over my face.

maybe i shouldn’t have said that.

matt goes silent for a while, then speaks up.

“you do realize that when we started this we both mutually agreed to have no feelings right?” he says, trying to keep his cool

“well- i mean yeah, but-” i try to speak

“then what makes you think i want to be something more?” he cuts me off. he stands up and starts to get dressed.

“matt. good fucking god, i mean you just have sex with me that damn near kick me out?”

tears start filling my eyes. shit.

“yeah!” he exclaims sarcastically “i do because when we established this, i told you i didnt want a fucking relationship. we’re just friends that just so happen to fuck.” matt raises his voice at me.

then the water works break. goddammit.

i wipe my eyes before speaking up, “okay then… if that’s how you want it to be, then we can end this shit right fucking now. im not gonna allow myself to be used like some damn sex toy.”

“wait.. y/n- c’mon i didn’t mean it like that.” matt tries to explain, regretting what he had just said.

“oh no. i fully understand what you meant,” i reply, now getting dressed.

“fuck..” he mumbles under his breath, but still loud enough for me to hear.

“that’s all you have to say?” i stand up after putting my shoes on, crossing my arms in front of the bedroom door.

matt goes silent.

“oh, what? we’re mute now? real cute.” i ask sarcastically before storming out the room. he follows behind me, trying to explain himself with ‘y/n this!’ and ‘y/n that!’ but i easily tune him out.

as i reach the front door, it starts to open.

it’s just chris and nick, i give a small wave and quickly pass by them and start walking to my house.

ill be damned if i ever let somebody treat me like this shit again.

an hour later, i get a knock on my door. dear lord, who is it now? i walk over to the front door and open it.

matt’s on the other side.

“hey.. forgot your phone…” he says sheepishly, handing it over to me.

“mhm. thanks.” i answer. i start to close the door before he pushes it open again.

“can i… come in?” he asks

“why? so you can screw me over again? no thanks.”

“y/n. im serious. please?”

i can tell he’s serious, but im still hesitant.

i sigh and open the door wider to let him enter.

he makes his way to the couch, while i lock the door and follow behind him, but sitting on the opposite side of him.

there’s a few moments of uncomfortable silence.

“just gonna sit there?”

he lets out a deep breath, “listen, i’m sorry for yelling at you earlier. i didn’t take your feelings into consideration and i clearly wasn’t thinking in that moment.” matt explains sincerely.

“i accept your apology. and i understand, but now that my secrets out, we cant keep doing this. it’s just- not.. right.” i shake my head

“that’s another thing i wanted to talk about. it’s not that i don’t like you.. i do- it’s just…” he sighs

“what, matt? you can talk to me. we’re still friends.” i speak. i move closer to him and put my hand on top of his.

“ive been extremely busy lately. flying back and forth, videos, podcasts, everything. its just a lot to handle and im not sure im ready for commitment. so its not a no.. its just a ‘not now.’” he looks at me.

after he said that, i felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. i needed that sense of reassurance. but now i feel like the asshole. i should’ve thought about him too.

“that’s perfectly fine, matt. i can handle that.” i start to smile, “ill wait for you, matt. take as much time as you need.”

he hugs me and i can feel his face growing into a soft smile against my shoulder.

“thank you, y/n.”

4 months later ;;

“matt! baby, i missed you so much!!” i say, leaping in his arms as he walks out into the airport parking lot towards my car. i attack him with kisses all over his face and hug him just a bit too tight.

“too tight, my love.” he says almost out of breath.

“it’s not my fault, this is the first time you’ve ever left me like this! i just really, really missed you.” i exclaim, letting go of him.

“you’re so extra.” he chuckles

okay that first part was a partial lie, but it really is the first time he’s gone back to boston without his girlfriend of 2 months!

“can you two get a room? good fucking god.” nick says disgusted, chris nodding his head and agreeing with his brother.

me and matt both shoot them the middle finger and continue walking to the car.

he grabs my hand, “i missed you too, though baby. i was thinking about you the whole time. and…” he continues to tell me how much he had missed me and loves me.

best boyfriend ever.

So, today i was with my friend and shes like a non-kpop bestie. So, I've seen these PPL on tiktok who YK show their non-kpop frnds the pics of the grp they stan and then they genuinely ask them who do u think would suit then. So i did it, i asked her who do u think I'd like good with? (For pure entertainment purposes, i promise I'm not a creep)

2nd japanese single......yeosang will be a mc with xiaojun and hyungseop.....hongjoong at Paris fashion week ... Yunho stealing tht one Lego and hwa finding it like his life depended on it. 🥲 This is why i stan them.

Also, I've been watching saiki k.- my new comfort show. I just realised my exams finish on hwa's bday ....why am I so happy abt tht??

(also idk if u still wanted number prompts but i cannot find the post so sorry abt that!!)

six(ish) sentence weekend ;P

“Sam, I...I appreciate the thought - really, I do! I do! - but um, I just...I don’t think this is going to help as much as you seem to, well...think it will.”

The look on Sam’s face made it unavoidably clear that she wasn’t about to buy that. Not even a little. She just kept sitting there across from her, her chin resting against her palms, fingers curled up against her cheeks almost to the point of puffing her lips out, slowly but certainly shaking her head. “Oh come on, trust me on this one, would you? I’m telling you, practice just makes it all way easier to get that stuff out. I used to do this with Hannah all the time!” As soon as it was out of her mouth, both of them paused, winced, and made the executive decision not to address the elephant in the room. That elephant, anyway. “Sooo,” Sam started up again, raising her voice as though it would help scare said elephant away, “Just pretend I’m Chris, and let’s get this crush out in the open!”

“Yeah, I, um...” The desire to implode had never been quite so strong. Ashley did her best to speed the process along, pulling her knees in tightly together, shrinking her shoulders in against her torso, knotting her hands and grinding her toes into the ground; any- and everything to shrink herself into a ball. It wasn’t that Sam’s idea was a bad one, per se, it just wasn’t...there were some flaws, leave it at that. There were...flaws. Big ones. With her logic. Among other things. “I just don’t think pretending to be Chris is going to help...this. Or, uh...anything. Really.”

At that, she dropped one of her hands from her face just so she could wave her off. “Ash, oh my gosh, I promise, okay? I promise I’m not gonna laugh at you or anything - as long as you don’t laugh at me for how bad this impression’s going to be.” She laughed then, her nose wrinkling up a bit in the way that it did, and Ashley found she had to physically force herself to keep sitting upright instead of collapsing flat onto the table between them. “Here, wait, let me get in character for a sec...then I think you’ll see the magic in this.”

“I really - ”

But before she could get anything else out, Sam was dramatically waving a hand in front of her face, her expression wavering between being tickled pink and being very, very, deathly serious. Her lips kept quivering like she was holding back a gale of laughter, and somewhere not all that deep inside of herself, Ashley had to wonder if she was doing it on purpose. It just...it wasn’t fair, that look on her face - it wasn’t fair at all!

She gave in. She did put her head down on the table. Then she moved her arms to form a sort of cushion around herself, doing her best to hide some of the flushing in her cheeks. And ears. And neck. And everything else.

Sam cleared her throat once, twice, and then shifted her posture so she sat awkwardly in her chair. “Heyyy,” she said, very clearly tamping down a wave of giggles as she deepened her voice. Both of her hands immediately formed finger-guns, and she waved them with impunity, taking down a boatload of invisible targets. “Who’s got two thumbs and enough dad jokes to ruin a barbecue?” Instead of using her thumbs as one might expect, she pointed her finger-guns at herself. “Thisss guy!”

Ashley grabbed the hem of her beanie and pulled it down over her eyes. “Sam, oh my God.”

“Awww snap! Sam’s here?” There was a screech to suggest she’d spun around in her chair, but given the whole beanie situation, Ashley couldn’t really say either way what sort of character work she was doing. “Quick, hide all the eggs - we can’t let her know we eat things!”

“Sam. Please.”

“No, hey, Ash, it’s fine, look! Just put the eggs on top of the fridge, okay? She’ll neeeeever reach them there. Not unless she like, climbs up onto a chair, I guess. Then again, she is kinda squirrely, so maybe...huh. Think we can distract her with some acorns? Those are vegan, right?”

Against her better judgement, she pulled her beanie back up a fraction of a fraction of an inch, peering Sam’s way through a vague screen of hair and loose threads. “You’re making this. Impossible. I hope you know that. Impossible.”

God help her, Sam just beamed - beamed! - sitting up straighter in her chair. “Just call me Tom Cruise,” she joked in that same awful Chris-voice. She let that hang in the air for a moment too long, then pretended it only just occurred to her that it hadn’t made sense. “Because, you know, Mission Impossible? That he’s in? Yeah, you get it, Ash. You get it.” The finger-guns were back with a vengeance.

She had to laugh. She had to! She couldn’t help it - the whole situation was so, so, so...so much! Too much, even! Her fingers bunched up in the hem of her beanie as she let the burst of nervous giggles finally bubble over, all the while forcing herself not to look Sam’s way. If she did, she thought she might just explode. The look of triumph on her face was also just so, so, so, so, so, so much. Too much. Too, too much. “This is dumb,” she managed to squeak out, her face only growing warmer when she heard how breathless she sounded in her own ears. “Sam, this is dumb!”

“Sam isn’t here, Ash,” she said, pretending to adjust a pair of invisible glasses. “I mean...oh shit, she is pretty tiny. Maybe she is here, just...quick, check under your chair. She could be anywhere.”

Why she did it, she couldn’t say; by all accounts it wasn’t the way she was used to acting, but the situation was so weird, and she just couldn’t stop giggling, and Sam was so intent on pretending to be Chris that it just built up and up and up until something in her burst. So she just...said it: “I like you. Like, a lot.”

She winced as she waited for a response. She didn’t have to wait long.

“Sick! I like you, like, a lot too, Ash. Like, a lot-lot. I like-like you a lot-lot.” The Chris impression slipped for just a second as Sam let out an ungodly snort at her own humor, holding a hand up like an old timey actress preparing to redo a line. She took a deep breath, let it out, and the laughter passed.

Oooh how Ashley wished it could be that easy. “No, I, um...okay.” She tried sitting up straighter, but couldn’t quite reach her full height, knotting her hands together on the table again. “This is...this is so stupid. I...oh my God. I...I have a crush on you, okay? It’s dumb, and you probably don’t feel the same way and I get that, I really do, but. I have a crush on you, and that’s...that.” She nodded her head slowly, an uncertain punctuation to an extremely certain statement, her eyes still flitting to anything but Sam’s face. “So. Yeah.”

There was a beat. And then, “O-oh my God, Ash, this is so sudden! We’ve been so tight for such a long time, I never thought you’d want to be the macaroni to my cheese. The peanut to my butter. The - ”

“Sam.”

“Shit, she was hiding under your chair, wasn’t she? I knew it, you can’t trust a vegan...they got that...natural camouflage.”

“Sam.” She hung her head again, fingers pressing hard into her cheeks in a last-ditch attempt to hide some of her blushing. “I haven’t had a crush on Chris in like. Months and months. And months. Okay? That’s why...that’s why I said this was pointless. I don’t have a crush on him at all.”

“Wait, you don’t?” she asked, dropping the voice (thank God) as her face scrunched up with confusion. “But then why did you just - ” The pause that followed felt like it lasted an eternity. Maybe two. Three. Three eternities. Threeternities. “Oh,” she said at last. “Oh.” And just when Ashley thought she was nearing that blessed implosion she’d been hoping for since the get-go, Sam laughed, “Well, I mean...huh! Guess we didn’t need the practice conversation at all, huh?”

It was only slowly that Ashley let herself glance Sam’s way, bracing herself for whatever she’d see there. But Sam was smiling - grinning, really - and before too long, she found she was helpless to keep from smiling back.

OKAY SO I HAD A SHORT BREAK BUT WE ARE BACK!

OKAY so personally i think bruce wouldn't know ANYTHING about what you did at night

whether you are a vigilante, anti-hero, or superhero i don't think his opinion of you will change

sure when finding out he will be VERY shocked

okay so here is how im thinking he would find out

it would obviously be a very late night and you and bruce have been together long enough to know each others schedules

whether you knew he was batman or not you know he always comes home tired and beaten so you kind of had your suspicions

at this point in your relationship, you and bruce were not living together but you stayed over frequently

so one night bruce had invited you over to his place so you both could just chill in each others silence like you both usually did

but tonight you had to decline obviously because you were out on patrol

to bruce, it was weird of you to cancel because you most of the time wanted to spend time together no matter what

you were a news reporter for a small printing office in the middle of gotham

so you stayed up late working on stories for people to read on their morning train ride to work

bruce felt in his sense that there was something you were keeping from him, nothing like cheating but a BIGGER part of your life

so he went out, in the middle of the night to see if he could at least see you from your home

what he didn't expect to see was you fight a duo of villains all on your lonesome

at first, he didn't recognize you until he heard your voice, he knew it anywhere

so him being the super protective and loving bf he was he of course tried to help to the best of his ability

once you had finished fighting the guys and started to call the authorities to try and contain them for at least a little before they escaped again

bruce looked down at you and muttered your name softly which caught your attention because you knew only he spoke to you that way

"b-bruce, okay it's not what it looks like..." you tried your best to. be as quiet as possible so the villains wouldn't hear

"you know it's dangerous to be out here alone... without a partner [name].."

"yes yes, honey i know i just... i didn't know how to tell you! i mean me [name] try to tell my amazing boyfriend who has to protect himself enough from the press every day about my "secret" lifestyle! not happening!" you whisper yelled at bruce before crashing into his arms

he caressed your head softly, he was deeply worried he could see the bruise already forming and some dried blood on your incredibly hot suit

"it's okay [name], ill make sure you're all right. ill get you all checked out."

bruce would never expect you, the woman he wanted to spend the end of the world with was also out until the late hours of the night fighting crime

he always knew you were a woman of justice and determination but he never knew you'd take it this far

as much as he was shocked and a little upset he was proud of you as well, he knew you always had an adoration for other crime fighters in the city of gotham and you were becoming one of the greats

once you both got back to his house he made sure every inch of you was taken care of, because he loved you

he asked you about how long this had been going on, how'd you learn to fight as good as you fought, who taught you how to even fight crime in the first place, and WHEN WERE YOU GONNA TELL HIM????

you were tired but you answered the last question for him before you fell asleep and you said

"once you admitted to me that you are batman bruce.."

and with that you were off to dream land and bruce was eft puzzled and stuned
