Orion do you have tips on how to write Venti 🙏 I'd be ever so grateful to learn

[Warning: Profanity ahead...and a really long read] Hii, you're in for a long ramble LOL

So, first things first, I'm probably not the best Venti writer out there. No, not even probably, I'm not. I try to write as closely as possible to canon however I know that's difficult as my own headcanons and perception of Venti will show themselves in my writing. And I genuinely think that there are absolutely better Venti writer's out there to ask.

(you can skip to around "Honestly this is..." to skip a whole lot of my rambling because genuinely instead of giving tips I just rambled. No matter how I try to think of it, you'll end up with the entire ramble no matter what :skull:)

Venti is a complex character, like genuinely a very complex character. People like dumbing him down to this silly little guy that's a drunkard and I get real annoyed when that's all people see him as. Venti is much more than the "carefree persona" he puts on. There's so much depth to his character.

Another thing to take note of, when I write for Venti, I'm usually writing him for comfort as he's a comfort character of mine. Most of my works are more focused on the reader than Venti, but the very few times I've written solely for Venti, I wrote angst with him. And there I honestly just went into the zone so how I write him is beyond me.

If I'd have to give tips on how to write him, it would be to make him more than just some silly little guy that's there for comedic relief. If you think about it Venti is the most mysterious archon we've met so far. He speaks in riddles when he knows he can't give an outright answer because that defeats the whole point of figuring it all out on your own.

He's a mischievous character. From hiding the broken Holy Lyre of der Himmel that he immediately made a break for after saying his little trick won't last forever to forging Morax's signature back when the aristocracy rules Mondstadt in order to help free Mondstadt once more. Another thing people tend to forget in the fandom is that Venti is actually really intelligent, which again isn't recognized under his "he's just a silly little guy" thing the fandom has going on for him.

Okay, I'm getting off track, this is more turning into me ranting about the fandom and being way to passionate about him :skull:

How I try to write him is to show depth to his character. I learn something new about his character every day. Like genuinely. If it wasn't for the venti nation over on twitter who are just as passionate about him as I am, I wouldn't have known half the shit I do now.

I think reading his character story and the Mondstadt lore (like the skyward weapons lore) really helped me find some depth into his character as not only the infamous bard of Mondstadt but also the god of Freedom and Hope. Maybe looking at the actual demon Barbatos would give some ideas on him as well.

Writing him is honestly a hassle, because you need to know when he'd make a riddle or a rhyme off the top of his head and when he'd talk to you like a normal person. Even in his voicelines, as far as I can remember, he doesn't rhyme often. Which made me realize that Kazuha really does talk by spitting out flowers from his mouth because I swear it's easier to write for Venti than for Kazuha who speaks in flowers :sob:

Another thing that helped me understand him a little better is simply looking up his fandom wiki page and seeing how they describe him. The first time I saw what stood there, I was like, "oh...that actually makes sense." (in reference to him hiding a lonely soul specifcally.)

When I do write him, I try to still keep his characteristic traits like being mischievous, carefree, wise, and lonely. Like I can absolutely imagine him stealing some apples from Dawn Winery and to be cheeky, he'd even sit atop the winery eating at the apples. But I keep in mind how he'd sometimes just sit alone and think. Like in his story quest, where at the end he sits on the hands of the Barbatos statue after telling us the story of the nameless bard and how he became the god of freedom. How he grieves for a friend/the friends he had lost. You can't tell me that by the end of his story quest you didn't feel the loneliness that basically oozes off of him.

I try to creep in that old timer feeling too because let's be real, he's a god, he's over thousands of years old, he has experience, ya get me? He'd have that hint of old soul vibes. And also let's not forget webtoon Venti where he was loud and proud about his songs (or rhymes or whatever was exactly said there) being twice as good as that of Barbatos himself (ironic because he literally is Barbatos). Like he is proud of being the best bard in Mondstadt.

ALSO Venti is super observant, like I will die on this fucking hill. He would know when something's up.

A big thing that I want to incorporate into my writing if I write him and it needs this, is that it will always feel like he's hiding something from you. Because it was recently brought to my attention that he doesn't always tell the truth or he talks in such a roundabout way that it diverts your attention to something else.

That and the fact that he is literally trying to hide just how powerful he truly is. He doesn't like drawing attention to himself, especially if it outs his true identity. Fucking "the weakest archon of the Seven" my ass. Like did you know that before people use a glider that they literally need to say a prayer to Barbatos to allow them to glide? I didn't either until a recent read up on a hyperfocus on Mondstadt fashion and someone on reddit said that people offer prayers to Barbatos every time they glide. If his power as an archon is based on how many people believe in him, than fuck bro you're straight up lying if the entirety of Teyvat is literally praying every time they use a glider. Like my dude is literally such a liar just to conceal his tracks and diverts attention away from himself.

Also whether or not that reddit user is correct on the prayer thing, I have no clue. I might be AR 59 but I am so behind on actual quests and shit that I just don't know, so how credible or true that is, I'm not sure. You can only trust any of my words when it comes to the archon quest lore :skull:

Honestly this is just turning into a ramble of a lifetime. I apologize sefhfef Overall, I'm not exactly sure how I write Venti or if I write him correctly. When I write there is (sometimes) no thoughts behind my eyes, just aggressive typing while I listen to music and I just pray that I write him accurately. Venti is such a complex character that it's hard to simply just...give tips because there's so much about his character that I could talk about.

I know for a fact that I try to convey not only his playful demeanor, but also his serious and caring nature. Like please, he isn't always cheerful or playful and he knows when to be serious and take things seriously.

And I try to incorporate that old timer feeling he would absolutely have because he is literally thousands of years old. (Adding this here as well for in case you did skip the whole ramble)

I can ramble about his character for days, probably, and I'd still never get to how I write him.

What I can say is to just listen to his voicelines, read his character story and go off memory of how you perceive him and know of him. Listen to other characters voicelines about him. Get to know him in a sense through those.

If you're unsure of whether you're writing him as accurately as possible (or simply just right), ask a Venti simp/fan to beta read for you. That's what I'm doing with my Eula series, I asked a friend if she could help me write Eula more accurately and she referred me to another friend of hers that loves Eula and that friend agreed to helping me in understanding Eula as not only a character but to also portray her as accurately as possible.

hey i could use some advice if its okay (also sorry if this is vaguely venty i am, very upset right now) i'm having a hard time regulating my emotions regarding my friend of 5 years, she's a good friend and we've been through a lot of ups and downs but nothing that we couldnt eventually figure out a way through lately. like the past year or so i've felt like i mean nothing to her and like i'm just a second option to pass the time. it first became a problem when her boyfriend who was abusive and her got into an argument over me (he thought me playing minecraft with her was abusive /srs) and she literally tried breaking off 5 years of friendship, not cause he asked but to appease him just in case it'd make him happy. obviously it didnt end up working but it hurt and it still really does hurt after that, while with her bf she started fawning over a girl and thats all she'd talk to me about sometimes, every day its either the girl or her bf. either its venting or gushing either way day in day out i was there to listen and it felt like i just straight up didnt matter anymore cause it was always about them and how she desperately wanted to be talking to them as if i wasnt even there or something then finally she broke up w her bf, and i thought woo no more of that but she immedietely got with another guy who even says he doesnt wanna date her, only wants to use her body and rarely if ever texts her back, yet recently she threw $50 just to try and get him to reply all the while constantly yapping at me how much she'd rather talk to him. every few months its someone new and i become obsolete, she'd rather talk to them and cancels plans just to talk to them instead of me. i've started trying harder in our friendship, always letting her vent always accepting hang out invites always replying to texts always encouraging her interests. outright buying her things to try and help fill the void she might be trying to fill. but nothing works she's always more excited for someone else. not that i have to be a priority of course i understand that but it feels like i've never been a priority, i'm not even 2nd or 3rd place and i feel awful and it hurts. plus another thing she never listens to me despite saying that i do seem to know whats best, i try to be there for her and give her advice when she asks then she turns around and takes what she admits is worse advice from one of the other people she fawns over just because she likes them better. i don't think i matter anymore (or ever did) and i don't know how to regulate or deal with that, i don't wanna accidently lash out at her but i don't know how to get past this. i've been ignoring her more frequently (i know its not good but i cant bring myself to text her i know i'll scream if i do) and she doesnt even really initate conversation, if she does its about one of the people as usual. which just makes it hurt more and make me wanna scream and lash out even more. i'm probably overreacting so if you have any advice i'd really appreciate it, thank you for your time

I'm sure my advice isn't what you want to hear, but my advice is that she is not a friend for you and you should end the friendship. Of course, you can always try communicating to her and seeing if she changes her behaviour, but I also worry that she'll tell you what you want to hear and continue this anyways. It's not to say maybe she genuinely is open to changing, but it sounds like she isn't in a place to be a good friend to you.

You deserve to have a friend who treats you the way you deserve to be treated. Being ready to dismiss you like she has isn't a sign of a good friend. It also sounds like she takes you for granted.

You matter and you deserve friends who value you. You are not overreacting at all.

(Also, while it's reality that we tend to "prefer talking to someone" over someone else at times, or stuff like that, that isn't okay to say to you. )

You say she is a "good friend" and maybe she is in some ways. But from this ask, it feels to me that she isn't in a place herself where she is capable of giving you the friendship you deserve. It sounds like she has a lot of personal work and healing to do. When I say my advice is to "end the friendship" it doesn't mean it has to be permanent. But you deserve to be treated better, and if you aren't in a place to "end" it, you can definitely take a break from it.

If you aren't in a place to do that, then please start thinking about your boundaries and putting up boundaries with her. You deserve to be treated better.

part 1: An Unfortunate Witness- Albedo, Kazuha, Scaramouche, Xiao

CHILDE has always known danger followed him anywhere, but he didn’t realize it would affect you as well, not until it was all too late, that is.

“We didn’t know a harbinger could be this weak.” a stick jabs him on the chest as he glares at the men in front of him, their identities unknown but he was committing himself to memorize their faces and voices, commanding himself to never forget. They’ll surely pay for what they’ve done not only to him but also to you.

His eyes glance over at your form, seemingly lifeless on the ground.

“Don’t bother,” the man chuckles, noticing his gaze. “-they’re dead!”

The words rang in his mind, almost like a chant, repeating in every beat of his mind.

You’re… dead?

Nobody spoke about the frenzied state the Eleventh Fatui Harbinger savagely and brutally used his Delusion amongst the attackers of him and his lover the night they were merely having their regular night stroll all-around Liyue, nor how he had kneeled near your body that night, unable to speak or let you go. Nobody spoke about how he spoke to your empty shell of a body until sunrise and insisted on being the one to bury you, never leaving your sight until you were deep under the land of Teyvat, reuniting with nature as if it was your old friend.

You had always loved nature, he could recall.

And he’s so envious of how it tore you apart from him, no matter how much he tried protecting one of the people whom he considered as his family.

He talks and laughs each day, but nobody knows how behind each smile he had, he was still a broken soul with a broken heart ever since the day he lost you.

DILUC was too weak… yet again.

He was a Pyro vision user, what use was he when against the same element he carries? Brute force alone seemed unlikely, not when he has you beside him. How could he have protected you more when he was too anxious to let his guard down?

He curses to himself and it seems to have caught your attention, raising your hand and caressing his injured face. Both of you obtained injuries, but you took more damage than him since the Fatui agent seems to have targeted you, a mere non-Vision holder civilian, much more than him. He was able to take down the agent, but it seems to be futile still.

“You have to leave me here… so you can treat yourself.” you weakly say, eyes attempting to flutter close, and he wished he could look into them much longer, now that he knew what was going to happen. He knows—of course, he does. This happened before, it almost seems like a memory to him. Only, it was you, not his father.

“No…” he holds your hand and he wishes he could take off his glove so he could directly feel your skin while it was warm, to remember as much as he could before he couldn’t. “I want to stay… just a little bit longer. I could stay.”

You smile with the best you could, he could tell. And when you voluntarily close his eyes and sigh, his heart starts beating fast. “I’m glad… the last thing I would be able… to remember… is you, my love.” a tear falls from your eyes, and as if on impulse, he does the same.

“Y/n?” he calls your name, “Love?” he stutters, and no response still. With wide eyes and a staggering breath, tears fell down his eyes without stopping.

He was too weak yet again.

KAEYA wasn’t able to tell you his feelings.

For countless times, of course, he tried. Not a single day had he thought about his confession to you, to find that perfect that where he was sure that he was ready to be bare, to not hide anything from you anymore. He trusts you more than anyone else in his life, but of course, every good thing must come to an end.

He lost you before he could even say anything.

What hurt more was that you had lived all those years with the same feelings, one that he had dragged on for so long, and all you needed was his confirmation, his answer for your loving stares and caring gestures.

He made a mistake.

“Y/n? Are you alright? Hey…” he breaths heavily as he attempts to smile at you when he sees you flutter your eyes open, pulling your body on his lap as he places your head by his chest and shoulders, softly shaking you awake. “Can you stand? Let’s go, we need to get you to the Cathedral, maybe we can also pass by Jean or-”

“I still love you,” you suddenly let out, voice weak, almost even like a whisper. Just as you did, he freezes in place, finding this situation very familiar. He knows this sight, he knows it very well. As a Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius, this should not even be a surprise for him. You’re one of the knights, he shouldn’t be shocked.

“I still love you…” you repeated with unstable breath. “I just-I just want you to know that.”

He parts his lips but no words left his mouth as his breath stopped the moment you breathed your last.

“I love you too…” he whispers in your chest, head bowed down in defeat—of course, he was defeated, after all. You won again, and he regrets it.

He regrets it with all of his heart.

VENTI found himself through you and he didn’t know what to do in a world without you in it.

The day started harmlessly at first. After all, he is the god of the wind, what best does he do aside from manipulating the wind?

“Venti!” he was diving before he could even hear you shout, following your falling form as the wind slapped his face, his mind and heart racing. Why couldn’t he control his powers? Was this a result of losing his gnosis? Why must this happen this time?

His hand caught yours, thankfully, not before you could fall directly to the ground. He slowly landed and before he could even assist you to stand, you limply made him fall to the ground instead, his knees buckling and his eyes widening as he looked at your face.

“W-Windblume?” he stutters. “Are you-” his breath catches on his throat as he tries to wake you, lightly shaking you and even squeezing your palm with his free hand. However, he regretted it almost immediately when he feels no familiar and comforting beating of your pulse, to which he tried to frantically find again, thinking it might have been a mistake-

But he was right.

With the damp feeling that he was now feeling with his other arm that supported your neck, and the sight of your chest not falling up and down like usual, like any normal mortal would--or anyone alive would, actually.

It all happened so fast he could barely catch up. In a split second, the reason why the lonely and clueless god was able to find his true identity had suddenly vanished just as fast as how he first met you, or how he courted you only to know that you liked him too.

You were taken from him just as quick as he had gotten you.

It’s unfair, it’s so unfair.

How could he now lives in a world without you in it?

How?

ZHONGLI had been through many lifetimes, but he will surely never forget this one, not when you lived with him despite it all.

The former Geo Archon, the undefeatable god at the ancient times, the all-powerful Morax that has lived throughout these years. Surely anyone beside him would be able to feel secure, safe, guarded. There is no possible way you would be harmed if you were the lover of such a god like him.

But… he was not a god, not anymore.

He thought having to live with you was fine, that giving up his title, his duties, his everything; they would all be enough to keep you safe, to be with you for the rest of your life, and maybe even his. Because really, he did this all just to be with you, to live with you peacefully; to raise a family with you, to build a house with you, to drink tea with you every afternoon, to share secrets with you at night and whisper “I love you” before going to the dream world, to share the morning with you.

Alas, seemingly as if Celestia had cast their punishment towards him, doom followed him like he was its god, only to bring a disaster that he never could have predicted to befall upon him.

“They’re in a coma, at this point, we could do nothing else but to wait. However, this may sound displeasing, but I don’t think they would ever wake, Mr. Zhongli.” Baizhu says in the background and he could only hear it, slowly getting through in his mind, taking his time to absorb the information in, all the while clinging into your hand in which was held by both of his as if silently begging you to open your eyes and prove everyone wrong. His rationality told him to let go, but a stubborn part of him doesn’t want to, not now, not ever.

He changed his life for you… and how could you go before he could even enjoy the ways of mortals like you? Was this all a mistake? If he didn’t have loved you, maybe this wouldn’t have happened, maybe you would have still been alive.

A cry rings in his ears and he perks up, realization dawning to him as he turns to his side and lets go of your hands, gently placing them on the bed before he lets the nurse handed him the infant, one that he and you both knew so well—it was your child, of course. Your only child, with him.

Living for him is a blessing, but he could also admit it as a curse.

“Please let them rest,” he says, specifically to Baizhu. “You can talk to Hu Tao about the preparations… just… I don’t want them to suffer anymore.”

With a press of a soft kiss on your forehead and your lips, he tore his eyes away, his heart breaking in two as he hears the shuffling of the nurses around the room, unhooking your body from any inkling of support for life. It doesn’t matter anyway. He knew you were gone the moment you and he arrived in Liyue for help, or when he last saw you, mouthing the words “I love you” to him before the doors closed.

He turns to you again, your child still in his arms as he leans again, muttering the same words he does every single night before you two fall asleep before he turns one final time and walk away.

He’s always the last one standing, and he wonders if it’s a curse or a blessing.

Lost in Assistance - Ch. 6

Summary: Y/n is a professional celebrity's personal assistant in Hollywood got hired with two years contract to be the assistant of the famous and talented Elizabeth Olsen / Lizzie by her manager. Both Y/n and Lizzie hate each other since day one, and they have mutual friend. You are forced to wake up in a sudden by your alarm blaring. You squint your eyes, try to find your glasses or your phone to turn off that annoyance of the sounds of your alarm. You finally turned it off and put on your glasses then checked out the time. You forgot that you have to wake up earlier than you planned before Lizzie’s text yesterday. Once you see the time is 5 AM, you regretted that you stayed up late last night.

You groaned as you got out of the bed. Last night you decided to wake up at 5 AM just so you can give yourself enough time to get ready, let alone you have to try to beat the traffic to go to the office even though it’s Friday you just don’t want to take that risk, not today. Last but not least, you have to get the coffee that Lizzie specifically requested.

You try to get ready faster than usual. You picked semi casual attire for today with a low ponytail and flat shoes. You grabbed your purse, your laptop and every other thing you need for work today. You walk out then go to your mom’s room to check if your mom is awake.

“Ma, are you awake yet? I’m gonna go to work okay? I’ll see you when I get home. Love you.” You half whispered hoping your mom can hear you but not loud enough to wake her up just in case she is still sleeping.

“Okay, good luck on your first day my dear.” Your mom replies in a sleepy tone.

You left for work but had to drop by at Starbucks near the office to get Lizzie’s large black coffee with half and half and two pumps of hazelnut syrup so it will still be hot when she gets it. That’s how she likes it and it’s one of a few list of coffee beverages she likes besides her precious seasonal pumpkin spice latte.

You finally arrived at the office at 6 AM sharp. The main building is already open due to some offices having early operation hours. You confidently go up to the office thinking it is already open as well or at least opened for Lizzie who is meeting you there but to your surprise the door is still locked and all the lights are still off. Puzzled with what’s going on, you pull out your phone and try to contact Lizzie to figure out where she is.

You try to call her but no answer. You wait for a few minutes in front of the office, then you try to call her again, which leads to the same result, no answer. Hoping that you will get an answer if you try to reach her in a different way, you decided to text her.

"Good morning Ms. Olsen, I'm here at the office. Are you on your way here by any chance? Thanks." You texted anxiously yet irritated. Fifteen minutes went by and still no words whatsoever from her. You decided to go back to your car and wait there.

You hate waiting yet that’s the only thing you can do now. Luckily, you parked at one of the Vernon’s office reserved spots so it will be easy for you to spot Lizzie when she comes. You sighed with annoyance every time you checked your phone and found nothing from Lizzie. You watch the parking spots around you like a hawk to spot Lizzie but shortly you are betrayed by your body, your eyes slowly close and you fall asleep. All of a sudden you hear your phone ring, it’s Lizzie. You jolted to check the time to find it’s 8:05. “Sh*t! Sh*t! Sh*t!’ You cursed in your mind and answered the call.

”Hello. Ms. Olsen. I’m coming right up.” You explain right away while you gather your stuff to get going.  “Where are you?! You are late. I have been waiting here for 5 minutes.” Lizzie asked, pretending she was upset about waiting. Making you come two hours early and letting you wait was her plan. Little did you know, Lizzie actually saw you sleeping in the car when she parked. Of course she won’t let this situation go to waste so she decided to just go up to the office to make it look like you are late. 

You finally showed up with one hand holding your purse and your laptop, the other handing Lizzie her coffee. “Good morning. I’m so sorry. Here’s your coffee. I got here at-..” before you could finish your explanation she cuts you off. “Um, my coffee is not hot, Y/n. Why is it cold? I like hot coffee in the morning. You need to get me a new one on the way there. We gotta go now or we are gonna be late. Thanks to you.” She gave the coffee back to you and walked away.

Your jaw dropped. You are so flabbergasted and irritated at the same time with what just happened as you saw her walk away with no remorse whatsoever. 

“Aren’t you coming?” What Lizzie said snap you back to reality and you proceed to follow her to leave.

Lizzie decided to sit at the front passenger side with you driving. You drive in silence, still upset that you have to go to Starbucks to get her another hot coffee. You ordered hers and your usual coffee. You got both of your orders, you put yours in the cup holder and you hand her hers. “Ice coffee huh in the morning? Grande Espresso frappuccino, light ice double blended with extra shot in a venti cup. Just because you like cold coffee in the morning, it doesn’t mean other people like it too, you know?” She commented sarcastically.  “Ms. Olsen, I got there at 6 just like you wanted me to, I tried to call and text you but no answer. That’s why your coffee got cold. It has been sitting for two hours.” You broke your silence but are still trying to keep it cool.

“Oh yeah, I slept in, didn’t hear my alarm.” Lizzie answered nonchalantly.

“Are you kidd--” You said in your mind then you took a deep breath. Hearing how she answered you, it made you connect the dots and you know what she’s up to. You know it’s normal if she really slept in but this happened on the first day you work for her, coincidence much. 

“I see.” You said it sarcastically and nodded slightly. “What? What do you see?” You got her attention. “Oh nothing. You did it on purpose didn’t you? You are trying to give me a hard time working.” You calmly confront her. “I told you I slept in. It’s up to you how you gonna take my answer.” Another nonchalant answer came out from her. You chuckle sarcastically then pull over and turn your head to look at her. She looks back at you confused.

“Look, Ms. Olsen. I don’t sugar coat things so please hear me out, I know you don’t like me because I got hired as the assistant you thought you don’t need and I don’t fancy you either. What you did this morning is completely childish and to me, you really give yourself a bad name such as a brat. I’m just here doing my job. As professional as you are and as stubborn as you are, no matter what game you are playing now, I won’t quit because I’m not a quitter. So why don’t you just let me do my job until the contract ends?” You raise one of your eyebrows and give her an intimidating smile then you start to drive again to the location.

Despite the fact that Lizzie actually got caught off guard with what you just did and with everything you said, she refused to give in. In fact it just provoked her more and started to ramble angrily “I told you I slept in! Just so you know, I have my own reason why I don't need a new assistant! You know nothing about me! So don't you dare call me a brat! Don't get too cocky. I’m not a quitter either. I’ll win.” She replied and just like that, they soon got into an argument and everything turned into one competition between you two girls who have the same level of unyielding obduracy. Nonetheless, both of you are consumed by your own ego and anger. 

You scoffed. "Oh come on! We both know you did it on purpose! I'm not stupid! 2 plus 2 is 4! Why don't you want a new assistant anyway? It's not that bad!" You raised your tone a little.

"Why the hell do I have to tell you my reason?! It's a personal thing! You work for me, don't you remember that?! Being childish is way better than being cocky like you. Just because you are the best assistant that Mitchel has, doesn't mean you're better than anybody else! So if you are as professional as you said you are, why don't you just zip it and drive?!"

The driving is now filled with tension and awkward silence. You decide to turn on the music just to calm you down. Clair De Lune by Motez Remix plays. The tune is actually catchy enough to Lizzie’s ears, she never heard this song before so she secretly checked the title on y/n’s car screen. “I don’t like this, I want to listen to something else.” She lied just to push y/n’s button yet again. “My car, my choice of music.” Lizzie rolled her eyes to what you said.

Luckily the traffic wasn’t that bad, you both arrived at the location on time. Lizzie gets out of the car and slams the door as she is still upset with you.

The photoshoot session starts. Both of you only talk when it’s needed. Not a single eye contact happens between the two of you. After a few hours, it’s time for lunch. Lunch is already catered, you prepared a plate for her, place it on the table. You sit with the photographer and crews on another table near hers.

She sits and about to eat but was stopped by something she noticed on her plate. Something that she hates, onions.

“Umm, Y/n, I can’t eat this.” She pushed the plate away. “ And why is that?” curious why she said that, you go to take a look at her plate and notice what’s the problem. “Sorry, I didn’t notice there’s onions there.” You added.

“It’s okay, I wouldn’t mind eating it if there’s no onion in it. Since you are my assistant, I will let you do your job just like what you asked me to do earlier.” She said it sarcastically but in a low tone and gave you a smirk, knowing she just served you back your own words from the argument earlier.

You realized what she wants you to do, it won’t look good if the photographer and the crew see you argue with you since they didn’t hear what ridiculous “assistance” Lizzie just asked you to do for her so you just do what she asked you to half heartedly.

The rest of the session continues then you both go back to the office when it’s all done. The whole ride was awkward and silent from both of you with soft music playing in the background. Tension is in the air but that doesn’t stop both of you secretly exchanging glances to each other without you both knowing.

You both arrived at the office’s parking structure  just to separate to go home and move on with your day.

the second part is where we meet diluc and venti!! i love them both so much and i’m so sad that we can’t unlock them through the story and can only get them by gacha.. :/ i’m seriously considering spending money on the game because ahh... rly want them. plus their fighting styles are awesome. have you spent money on the game?

and yeah you’re right. most of rpg games are like this. you just have to play it in your own way because they’re HUGE. there’s always something to do and to achieve even when you don’t play the main story. but WOW you’re so far!! good luck on your grinding. nothing hurts more than having to defeat a monster but they murder your entire team in like... a second haha. 😖 it’s seriously scary. also literally same !!!!!! some weapons or artifacts are just pretty you just want them in the game sjsjfjjfjdk same goes for team members.

yes soocer but as a european i’m not supposed to say the s-word shsjdj. i mean i was a bit! it was mostly for fun with my friends. soocer is rly big here so literally everybody plays when they’re younger during recess and stuff. i think i’m rly bad at it now that i’m older though haha.

ooo? i’m the opposite. i’m a very early riser (usually wake up around 7-8 even on breaks) but these past days my brother has been wanting to hang out with me to watch movies so i’ve been staying up late and it’s so rough. i just love mornings and the crispness of the morning air haha. also same, i just get much more done during mornings/noon time. reading fics at night is like... the best though so i slip sometimes too. there’s something so magical about it. yk when you find the perfect one and you just read and read and suddenly it’s like 2 am and you’re just sitting there like Wow.

(also in case you didn’t know, you can’t currently obtain venti from gacha! he was a limited time chara and his banner has finished, but he may (idk) come back in the future sometime~)

no it’s fine to ask! i quit to concentrate more on school FHDSKFJS i was entering my final years of high school which means subjects and exams that’ll contribute to my uni entry score so yeah i stopped pretty much all extra curriculars so i could focus on study. ballet is SO beautiful! the dancers look so effortless and like they’re floating but the amount of muscle strength they need... admirable af

In lieu of the above video (courtesy of @nickkrause08) showing the friendly skies turning into fight club – not to mention all the other airline incidents of late – I am updating my recent post/rant on the worst people you’ll meet on your flight.

  Hint: it isn’t the flight attendants, TSA agents or that overstressed/underpaid woman working the gate.

  As noted in the first post, flying can be stressful and disappointing. I get it. I’ve flown over one million miles on Delta/Northwest alone and probably hundreds of thousands on other airlines. I’ve been to airports big and small, in airplanes big and small and seated next to passengers big and small. I’ve been stranded, abandoned and slept one night in a chair inside the Minneapolis airport. Whatever horror story you have, there’s a good chance I can match it.

  Still, come on people. We have an actual brawl on an airplane? This is the discount flight from Burbank, not the prison yard. If someone disrespects you, chill. In fact, always chill. Your flight will go better. And sleep. And shut up. The other passengers don’t want to talk to you. Trust me.

  Somehow the public momentum is to defend the customers and blame everything on the airlines. No, it’s usually us, the passengers.

  Remember the woman whose baby almost got bumped because the flight attendant was trying to remove a doublewide stroller she wanted to bring down the aisle? Could have been handled better but … why the hell were you trying to bring a doublewide stroller onto a plane when it clearly and always is prohibited?

  How about the woman who went to the media because flight attendants wouldn’t let her go to the bathroom while the fasten seat belt light was on and instead handed her a cup? Pretty funny story, but there is a reason why they have a fasten seatbelt light. It isn’t safe to wander around the plane. You can disagree with their judgment – there are many policies on board that make no sense. That’s still the deal. It’s probably a federal law. This isn’t your living room. You want full control of your actions? The interstate is right over there.

  And yes, getting bumped from flights happens but the practice of overselling planes is good for customers, because it helps lower costs and allows more people each day to book flights.

  Airline travel is amazing – amazingly safe, amazingly convenient and amazingly cheap. Perfect. Not at all. Anyone who expects perfect, let alone on a $119 supersaver, is a fool.

  So here are my updated and now expanded nine worst people on a plane (in no particular order). And I’m not even getting to the obvious ones such as belligerent drunks or the would-be UFC brawlers in the video or the barking dogs – no dogs other than guide dogs should be allowed in the damn main cabin, by the way. Give me a break with the “comfort pet.”

  1. Starbucks Lady

  It’s a 6:30 a.m. cross-country flight and you felt the need to get a Venti double Frappuccino or whatever that creation is? Not only are you going to spend the first hour of the flight sucking loudly through a straw, but that creation has enough caffeine and sugar to drop a horse. Look lady, no one is asking you to fly the plane. Exactly how alert do you need to be?

  You want to know how to make air travel better? Go to sleep. Flight goes faster, you don’t need to be entertained, you can ignore the other passengers and you catch up on some rest (fitful, but whatever). Don’t tell me you can’t sleep on planes between a gargle of Starbucks. You have to have a plan – turn off electronics, read a book, avoid stimulants. It isn’t hard. I feel for like 6-foot-10 guys, but you aren’t that.

  Don’t book a window seat, drink a massive coffee and then wonder why you are as fidgety as a kindergartener, unable to sleep and have to get up three times to go to the bathroom – thus bothering the rest of us.

  2. Big bag guy

  It ain’t going to fit, buddy. Maybe it’s compensating for other parts of their life. Maybe they just really think they are going to get over on the airline for that $25 baggage fee. Whatever it is, that massive roller isn’t getting into the tiny overheard compartment.

  These guys are the worst. They push and slam and bitch and moan. The people already seated below them are panicked and jostled. Some properly sized bag is inevitably getting crushed up there.

  The guy gets angrier and angrier as he tries to defy the laws of physical space. Soon he’s regaling everyone about that time the airline lost his luggage in Albuquerque – cry me a river, we’re not on your side.

  Then the poor flight attendant has to come by and tell him he needs to check it (for free) and he gets mad at them. Everyone’s stress goes up. Look, pay the fee or pack less. It’s simple. How much crap you need for this weekend in Erie?

  The baggage fee thing is horrible but they have to do it because all you fools will only pay for the cheapest flight that comes up on Expedia. Then you complain when the flight isn’t luxurious like it supposedly used to in the Mad Men days or something. It’s like someone buying a Chevy Spark and then bitching it isn’t as roomy as a Cadillac Escalade.

  3. Idiot/Patriot in the TSA line

  You know these people are there to stop us from getting blown up, right? Imperfect system but it’s the best we’ve got. No matter what you think, TSA agents want to get rid of you as quickly as possible. They are trying to be professional under impossible circumstances.

  So, can you please pay attention? September 11 was over a decade and a half ago … the freakin’ laptop has to come out of the bag. Yes, a cell phone is a metal item. And actually I am not surprised that your oversized belt buckle caused the x-ray to ping. It’s not shocking at all.

  This isn’t that hard. Follow the stupid rules. You’re slowing up the line because you are a clown.

  The only people worse are the ones who believe the TSA is infringing on their Constitutional rights with that there new-fangled body scanner or a pat down or merely existing. What, you think I’m a terrorist? If you’re that into your privacy, then cool. Just find a better way to get the woods of Idaho.

  Twitter follower @FakeKevinKugler added a subset to this: the person who was sent to TSA PreCheck but decides to clog everything up by stripping down anyway. You undeservedly reached the promised land and this is how you act? Pay attention.

  (Then again, TSA PreCheck should not just be handed out randomly like it is these days. Change that rule, TSA.)

  4. Burrito Bowl Dude

  Tight connections and long trips can mean there is limited time to get a meal at the airport. And we know you aren’t getting anything substantive in coach. So people bring food on the plane.

Here’s a tip. Maybe on those days, you just have a protein bar. Or eat right away as you wait for everyone else to board. Not these people. They have to bring an elaborate, often sloppy meal, let it sit in a bag for an hour stinking up the place and then pull it out and try to spread out.

  There’s usually some assembly required, some salsa to pour over, some Sriracha or salad dressing. Then a knife and fork come out. You need the dexterity of Houdini to eat this thing in such a small space so rice or lettuce is inevitably flying everywhere and chicken is spilling and it’s a massive mess.

  You’re bothering me now. I don’t care if it’s good.

  5. Drink Cart Enthusiast

  They need to get rid of the drink cart on all flights under like two hours. It’s a rolling debacle. If you are so desperate for hydration or a tiny snack then buy your own.

  Yet they pull that thing out and people act like dogs that just saw their master walk in with the treat jar.

  You’ve never had a Diet Coke before? A package of five to six pretzels? I have had people wake me up to let me know the drink cart is here so I wouldn’t miss out.

  The drink cart blocks the aisle, slams knees and elbows and generally only gives the customers something else to bitch about because they didn’t get the whole can or found the peanuts an unsatisfying meal. You know, back in the day they used to carve up steak. Yeah, well, back in the day flights cost a thousand bucks and planes crashed all the time.

  I once had a 37-minute flight to Indianapolis delayed for 1:45 because “catering” needed to restock the drink cart. That means we could have flown to Indy, deplaned, slammed a beer at the airport bar, reboarded and returned.

  6. Maintenance Know-It-All Guy

  I’m as suspicious as anyone when they announce that the flight is being delayed for maintenance because I assume they use that excuse to cut down on complaints. You know why? Because it works.

  Or it should except for the guy standing in the gate area who immediately starts huffing and arguing that there is no maintenance issue and it’s a big conspiracy. Really, how exactly do you know? Congrats to you if you truly are so proficient in diagnosing a $300 million airplane that you don’t even have to look at it to draw your conclusion. If you really enjoy such a skillset, however, maybe you should make a career out of that rather than schlepping to Des Moines with the rest of us. Seems like something that would pay well.

  You don’t want them to check and make sure the plane is working properly? You’re troubled by an airline that demands all the parts and emergency back-ups are working.

  You do realize what the alternative is, correct? If you think you’re late for your cousin’s wedding weekend now …

  7. Delusions of Grandeur in 38B

  Many Twitter followers mentioned this one. You’re way in the back of the plane yet somehow believe once the plane arrives at its destination and pulls up to the skybridge that you’ll somehow beat the crowd and race off the plane first. I get the desperation to make a connecting flight, but it isn’t happening. Usain Bolt couldn’t charge the aisle fast enough to make it. Accept reality and wait your turn.

  8. Frequent flyer poser

  Ah yes, the “sort-of” frequent flyer who loves to yell at the gate agent or flight attendant about how much of a valued customer they are when, well, they really aren’t that valued of a customer. They gave George Clooney in the movie his own number to call for a reason. They gave you an easily identifiable bag tag and you may have gotten that by falling for their credit card deal, not actually flying.

  I once heard a guy complaining to a gate agent about not getting an upgrade and asked what he needed to do to get upgraded to first class. This was on a flight to Europe no less. The woman calmly said, “fly our airline more.” Classic. 

9. Boarding Group Z Gate Blockers

  More Twitter recommendations: apparently these people, who crowd around and block the boarding gate even though their group isn’t getting called for awhile, are referred to as “gate lice.” I had no idea, but it works.

  They have a process to get on the plane. The Diamond Medallion and First Class people go first. Deal with it. If you find yourself in Group 7 or whatever, get the hell out of the way. Standing in front of the little ropes that lead to the ticket scanning machine when you aren’t getting on for the next 20 minutes assures only one thing, it will take even longer to get on.

  This is a partial list. In summary, as much as I sometimes hate airline bureaucracy, I hate you people even more – not enough to have a fist fight in row 18 over it, but still.

So can i just talk about Signora for a second? ok.

Ok, so while i get where the hate towards her is coming from, I also don't. Ok, like yeah, she kicked venti, and yeah, maybe that upsets me a bit because i really like his character, but also, SHE KICKED AN ARCHON! like, how awesome is that?! she went up to this being that holds far more power than herself, insulted him, kicked him, and stole his gnosis. Like excuse me?? She's an incredible character, and she's meant TO BE A VILLAN! That's what her character is! She's an amazing-looking kick-ass woman who has a goal to achieve, no matter what it takes, and she does it all with so much style! She's not afraid to walk up to an archon, give some snide remarks, and do her job. Then she makes a contract with an even more powerful god. Heck, she respects his wishes! She agrees to let all this play out, instead of immediately resorting to violence. Her character is SO well done, and she deserves way more respect. She isn't running around trying to fight people (no shade to Childe, I do like him), instead, she works in the shadows where she belongs, her missions discreet to those who weren't let in on how she chose to go about it. She moves in with stunning grace, as if dancing on a stage, and then she is gone as quick as she came, leaving those in her wake to wonder what truly happened. I'm so excited to see her in Inazuma (whatever happens between her and Baal should be great), and OH MY GOSH. her delusion form? Amazing. I love it. It is everything it should be. It is powerful, it is elegant, it is Signora.

yes actually venti was even my favorite character at that time but all i thought was- oh my god a harbinger? and a powerful lady at that? wow and why was she so fast??? i’m also glad you mentioned about that part where they made a contract with another god because honestly signora only did that to venti because tsaritsa has some beef on him—why is no one talking about what makes tsaritsa, another god that is way younger than venti, dislikes him? what could venti (barbatos) could have done all those years ago? this is why im so hyped for snezhnaya already

also yes !!! now that i think about it there are speculations about her identity and i can’t wait to learn more !!! villains are written that way for a reason and honestly? where is the mindset that villains have way better plotlines than heroes lmao? fr what i remember people even simp for loki (same as me) and even other villains but when it comes to women—STRONG women at that, it’s suddenly different.

again, as a writer i love all character stories but the most interesting part of ever story is how the villain turned out the way they did today… let’s all see how this all plays out😌🥰
