There is very little that frustrates me more than bird drama being just out of view.
Why is the pheasant running?? Is there another pheasant? Has the Red Vicar finally come to claim his father’s (the Red Baron) lands? Has one of the Golden Girls wandered off? What is happening???
Practice drawings of birds other than pigeons this time - I adore jackdaws so so much. I based this mostly on my own pictures (except the hooded crow, which was sent by a friend 🌺)
I've had rough time with anatomy (especially the heads and the tail regions) but I guess it will come with practice eventually.
His profile goes too much into realism. It's the rendering here, I get it, I stopped caring at some point and just indulged. But I am still working on getting his profile stylized. Because I don't know what to tell you, the proportions are technically right. It's madness with this man.
What other headcanons do you have for the Liberi? For me, they can transform their arms and only their arms to wings. The little kids try to fly but sadly they can’t :(
Oh boy I have so many headcanons about Liberi, since I love birds with all my being I have tedency to absorb all the bird knowledge just like Kirby and then I ponder it but with my favorite characters when they're inspired by birdies
I like to think that they tend to keep their molted feathers, mostly keeping them in their bed, like a huge nest, because it's really comfortable for them. Because of that, they might have difficulties to sleep in other places than their own bed, since it doesn't have their "mark".
Very young children Liberi are so, so fluffy, with their hair being like some really soft feathers! Their feathers/hair colors are also very different from what it will look like once they are grown up, for example, five years old Silence would have white hair...
Most of the Liberi also molt depending on seasons, usually in Winter and Summer; their colors can change, their feathers can become more "fluffy" and adapted to cold temperatures, it would mostly depend on the species they are based on and where they live.
Talking about molting, Liberi tend to love being "taken care" of, having someone they trust brushing their feathers/hair, mostly because they might need help to take off the pin feathers (freshly molted feathers) - these ones can irritate them easily if not removed, but they would prefer having a trusted person do it for them if they don't/can't do it themselves.
They tend to call their children by affective names like "hatchling" (newborn), "nestling" (young children) and "fledging" (teenager); as well, a Liberi would be considered mature and independable enough when they get their definitive feathers
Most of them enjoy collecting any sort of "pretty thing" they find, may it be a cool feather, a shiny rock, or whatever trash... They just can't help it and tend to hoard those items because they just think they're neat.
They tend to be very light and not have strong bones, making them quite fragile, hence why we don't have any big tanky Liberi (Firewhistle being the only Defender, and she's a Fortress, so her best ability isn't her Defense but more her Attack). However, they are mostly very flexible and react quite fast!
Here that's most of the headcanons I like to think about with them, I just think birds are neat and cool,,,
