I'm curious as to peoples idea for what he'd do for the next power hour so

This was all just a ploy to get you to read my info dump theory on the concept of a Chonny Jash Power Hour loser HAHAHA

Im joking tho. Not about my CJPH theory, that is very much real but I'm not forcing you to read it lol

Okay so I'm gonna start with the basic idea I got it from; that being Nerd. Nerd already foreshadowed the THDPH & the WWPH [Even down to the last song for each of them] Not only that, but he references the stuff hes done in the past as well with a break/pause inbetween.

[This is what I mean]

The first three being all stuff he already did. BDG with Pocket, Tally Hall with Vol.1 & then Cage by Tim Minchin being the start the power hours.

The next two being the power hours he would do after this song [Memento Mori & Charlie's Inferno-Will Wood & That Handsome Devil]. But those are the only songs he would reference in Nerd, leaving no more clues as to what the last one would be. The only thing left in it is the video game references & Stairway to Heaven in the ending. [Which oddly enough also fit the pattern in a way. StH being about dying and the afterlife like Memento Mori & Chonny's Inferno and the video game references being all covers he made on his old channel]

While the VG refs could be a hint at a Videogame or Toby Fox Power Hour, I think at most, if its a clue at all, hinting at the next thing he does is recovering old songs.

Next, a couple of his songs reference his past stuff. Fine, I'm Fine has a good amount of lines that vaguely refer back to songs from the before [heres a post that goes more into it that's pretty cool!!]. And more importantly Dear Machine references Pocket, Dream (Outro from Calamity) & wings of wax. Pocket being later used in Nerd & the mention of Icarus coming back in Art. Not only that, but the voice in the very end Thermodynamic Lawyer is the exact same [if not very close to] voice filter/effect he uses in Dear Machine. Even down to the British accent he does in it. [Tho it is fairly normal for a music artist to reference their older songs in their music so it could be nothing]

Speaking of Dear Machine tho, quick thing to add about it is that it shows he not against covering his own songs. While yea technically its just a different version of Ode of the Cog, DM,HtC in a way counts as a cover of OotC. Same goes for bargaining/compromise & The Ballad of Dr. Jekyll.

Another idea with a CJPH is that in the CJFS discord theres a "Question of the Day" Channel. Where, as the name says, a Mod or Helper will ask a CJ related question & everyone can give their idea/imput on it. For Day 100, as a special fun lil thing, they asked Chonny if he wanted to give a question for that day. His question being:

And yes he does say that he doesnt plan on doing anything like that in future [if he even were to do it]. I fully believe he wasn't lying there & honestly I never saw him redoing any song ever until I had the idea of a CJPH [aside from stuff like Spring and a Storm & Storm and a Spring obviously]. But this is the best idea I could ever see him doing that. Also that question was from early August so a fair amount of time has passed. Whether thats enough time to equal "at least in the near future at all" I have no clue, but it is a thought.

One of my last points [that I remember atm lol] is on how he would end the power hours. Cos like, while yea he does whatever he wants & doesn't rlly follow what anyone says or asks [which I 100% agree with & is completely valid btw], I'd imagine he'd still want to end the PHs with a bang. Which is why I originally didnt think the recent one would be Will Wood.

He's stated a couple of time that hes one of his favorite artist & he definitely knows that a huge chunk of his fan base listen to WW as well. So why not end with that? Why not end with one of the most requested artist people wanted him to cover? Why wouldn't he end with a power hour of the artist that was his #1 on his Spotify Wrapped? What else could he do after that? Well maybe he'd go with his #2 artist? WHICH IS JUST HIMSELF BBYYYY

So it's very likely he's had himself play multiple times in a row & had a "Chonny Jash Power Hour".

Of course theories are just theories so there's always the chance I'm wrong & just insane. And again he does whatever he wants whenever he wants so who knows what it'll be. I just think id be an interesting idea for him to do.

As for how a Chonny Jash Power Hour would look? Maybe each song being a cover of a song from a past album or single? I'd imagine one from the before. & Covered in Discontent [maybe Gothic Whore?]. Like remake Pocket since its been referenced so much, tho that's still just a BDG cover so who knows. the before. would be interesting just to see how his perspective has changed since he originally wrote those songs. Gothic Whore he already has 2 songs that have a story version & a him version so I can see him doing another.

I HIGHLY doubt he'd do anything related to Vol.1 as its his completely separate thing & he doesn't rlly wanna touch any song that's TH/HMS related until whenever he feels like starting Vol.2 [which is valid lol]. If anything I could maybe see like TWWAY, Special or maybe Greener? Or go a different route with the og I'm Gonna Win or like a more outta the box one with like Just a Friend [only cos be did a 20 second "cover" of it in Mucka Blucka]. Again, I do not see him touching anything Vol.1 related but still something to entertain ig? [4th TME cover; The Chonny Electric when/j]

Tho maybe he'd just remake songs that he he fully made [like the before. or Gothic Whore], since those are more of actual Chonny Jash songs rather than the others just being covers. Would be very cool to maybe see a remake of some of his Majora's Mask song tho [no this isn't me coping over HEAL not being on spotify shush]. Or maybe he'd do songs from his old stuff like Don't Take it Personally? [also not me coping over wanting that song on Spotify too]

Idk these are just my thoughts on the idea of a CJPH [or even a Can of Soup Power Hour/j]. Either way I am gonna say idc what he'd do, BDG or Streetlight Manifesto are my other guesses, but anything he makes is always rll good & fun so I'll be interested to see whatever it is.

(bear with me, its a bit chaotic, just like my thoughts)

first they thought it was about the place - the trailer park, but max mentions chrissy was crying in school. which means it wasnt fixed to the place. so even if mike is in cali, it could have already somehow work on him, and maybe will have more effect once he comes back to hawkins.

what he already has in common with the other victims - possible negative emotions.

ofc given the situation mike could have been just upset with what he saw that el did to angela, as well as being upset bc he found out from will that el has been lying to him. as well as will being upset with him too about the lack of communication between them (and mike back at him - they could have both dealt better with the calling/writing to each other throughout the year).

but also this:

but given it was actually mike who saw this happen to max (when they both didnt know the cause or that its a much worse problem), im taking it as some kind of foreshadowing,

and he finds mike, and what vecna is trying to do to him, illusions and nightmares all around, its horrible, and he sees how much mike is scared and terrified.

and will does what he does best - he reassures, he offers a comfort that in that moment mike desperately needs, maybe in just a way of saying ‘im here, its gonna be okay, we are getting you out of here, just hold on.”

heres something incredible niche. with the help of raymap i spent a few hours making an entire height chart of almost all the characters and creatures (and a plum) in rayman 3, minus the absolute largest ones

heres the whole thing uncropped (12.8 mb, 26270x2383)

and here it is condensed into like the most important individual characters

below is some notes about it, a whole bunch of rambling and stuff, i put a lot of effort into this so check this out

this is taken with raymap by looking at each map in the orthographic front view, relocating every object i need to -1500 Y position with 0 for everything else (minus x position just so they could be side by side). the rotation and scale is all set to 1. almost all of the objects are the first frame of their idle animation

only exceptions for the rotation were CagouFlaps (hoodloon), francesco (red bird), piranha and Dirigible, all for convenience. one of the refluxes (the fight one with the glowy face) is also an exception to the animations thing, hes using the first frame of an animation different from his idle one so he stood more upright

the arrangements i took were like this. i had to take 43 screenshots like this (with the transparent screenshot option) and then align them using rayman as an anchor, as i included him in every screenshot

the fact that they were all at the same exact Y position is why the characters are sometimes slightly below or slightly above where the floor is supposed to be, thats just how the object is positioned in the game itself basically and i chose to leave that in. i ignored that for my height sorting though

i didnt use all screenshots, i just excluded everything that was larger than a mawpaw because the filesize in this chart was already large enough. im not bloating them with something that was likely going to end up well over 10k pixels tall and wide

i also excluded a bunch of inanimate objects like piggy banks and gems and cages and stuff, but i have screenshots with them

i also straight up forgot francesco so its not in the chart. but heres its size relative to rayman, probably would have been between the orange glowy fairy and either a grim or andre

this slightly tinier colorful hoodmonger is just from the final boss fight, which is a separate object family from the three other types of hoodmonger (which are all actually the same family)

the other fairy thingy (luisane) got kinda botched in the transparent screenshot so i just screenshotted it how it appeared in raymap itself directly so it has a black background. also i know the rat looks really weird, its just Like That its not modeled on the bottom, in retrospect i really should have rotated that one sideways too

the flabar/bonton has wings but theyre solid white (bc the texture for them is actually missing in final, one of the demos had them) and they blended into the background oops. heres a snippet from a larger transparent version of the chart

the way i actually sorted all the heights is i generally ignored stuff like hair and hats, thats why some teensies ended up being outright taller than rayman

also yeah i dont know why specifically generic teensies are so tiny compared to all the other ones. my guess is that their size was just leftover from the previous games and didnt account for the ones original to rayman 3 being scaled up, or something?

i love the teensy heights in this though i love that some are taller than rayman and the apparent slight variety present in their heights (even if you cant tell it at all and theyre all shaped the same really)

anyway i also unfortunately had to leave some guys out since i just couldnt move their objects for some reason, those being -iceglob (globox stuck in a block of ice unsurprisingly enough) -sk8guard (the teensy that catches you in teensy highways) -ProjCanon (thingy that you have to aim at celoche to damage it) -wbug (little bugs that are in bog of murk supposedly but i never saw them outside of raymap)

oh well i can finangle a way to get them out of perspective view i hope

I know you said that the talk about pre sun red (let's just call him capri-sun) made you uncomfortable so I felt the need to clarify that the reason I don't like sunburnt red is because while it's "endearing" (as you said) that he's ugly, I guess we just don't get enough time to appreciate the ugly to where I feels like "oh great heavens wtf is that"

I do also like sunburnt red as a design (mmmmm crispy crynchy) but it also makes me feel a little icky because it reminds me of the time I got sun poisoning and doubled my chances of getting cancer...idk that's just my own thing :(

But red is well designed but I need to absorb more red to really feel that red is red - like how do I explain it??? Like he feels like a different guy with the mask on VS off - you expect him to a Lil pretty but then your stared at by an Egyptian mummy carcass thingy - it somehow confuses my brain, Especially since in typical stories when you remove a mask you find a pretty bitch like akutugawa gin from bungo stray dogs - red is the perfect counter to the story stereotype but it also feels like a shock

Like red looks like a corpse and when I see him in my peripheral sometimes he scares me more than the other hallucinations I have like he is the grim reaper or soemthing - now imagine that in a figurative sense and you get why most people screamed "MUMMY" when they saw him remove his mask because it was a wtf moment

Also I do wish we got to see more capri-sun because he in his own story where he is a boss bitch like blitzo from helluva boss would be pretty cool - he has amazing vibes of arrogance and also somehow a secret insecurity - I just find him compelling in his own right and I want to see him stab someone or break their skull open

Basically I guess sunburnt red is scary (but that's okay bc it was probably your intention) and capri-sun looks a little too silly for us to just let him walk away freely

I wanna grab capri-sun and tear off his fingernails while having a tea party wit him and then ask every other version of red to beta capri-sun up for funnsies

i think that a lot of femmes are very gender non-conforming! a lot of femmes access this through more brazen sexuality or campiness in their aesthetics, but many femmes also access gender non-conformity through the way they don't shave, the way they carry themselves, etc. I've even seen a post floating around here about a femme who passes as butch during their work shift because of their physical labor-related job, but they, and you, are still femme.

hey there! thanks so much for liking my art of them :") it means a lot! and also thanks for wanting to know my opinion of the ship itself and not just the art, too! warms my heart.

short answer: the 4.1 archon quest did leave a bad taste in my mouth, yes, but i got over it and realized wow. i love wrioney so much and i would rather have this than any other cookie cutter "perfect/wholesome" dynamic

long answer/explanation under cut!

first off, pre-4.1 wrioney's setup was just too good for me to pass up and hit all my fav points. cat (chat noir) + dog (cerberus) dynamic??? criminal x prison warden???? wriothesley's tareme eyes to lyney's upturned ones? cute! not to mention i liked how their color palette matched more than the other popular ships. they seemed like they were made for eachother. we also had 0 crumbs for wrio's personality at that point so i assumed he'd be the serious to lyn's playful flirt.

shipping in this game to me has always been a bit on the shallower side, and thats fine! some of these characters never get to "grow" with dynamic character arcs really and remain "static" to have their profiles make sense when you pull for them. they can never be directly antagonistic to the player and have to be "redeemed" in some way. 76++ characters and not all of them get time in the spotlight, either. thats fine too.

that all changed when fontaine came out. and even more when 4.1 did.

wriothesley's personality was a joy. i love morally dubious and fun characters like him, the kinds that dont really fit into a "box" or trope!! genshin's good at making characters like that, just as they are good at the tropey ones. i also didnt mind that he canonically isnt above torturing, too. heck, i mean i love kamisato ayato who is basically what the game sets up as the male version of arlecchino + diluc burning an abyss mage and kazuha's tongue branding comment were one of my favorite moments. i thought wrio being cruel was very much in line for a prison warden. it made sense. what didn't make sense was the way the game needed to show this.

i loved lyney the moment i saw him in the travail trailer. his thing with his family another one of the best things to come out of genshin. fucked up orphans and found family who are villains? actually so good. but because they are what the game wants us to see as "unequivocable villains", they also get... disrespected in the story a lot?

the way i saw it, the game wanted us to see wrio as the "cool/badass hero!!!! wow your grace you're actually so kind for not killing them!!! see guys he just looks cruel and antagonistic but he's actually so morally good!!!also here's like 3 cutscenes of wrio looking cool ^_^" while lyney's treated like an "overemotional kid" really rubbed me off the wrong way. everything else was fine. i just got tired of the game insisting that the fatui are so bad no matter what and the rest are ""good"" when their whole thing in fontaine was doing away with the black and white morality. the devs seek to promote greyness but they cant even write that right?

what wrio did to them truly probably wasnt even the worst lyney and his siblings have been through, i know this for a fact. honestly wrio could have killed freminet and it'd have been like. reasonable for him. but he's a big softie who has a thing for lyney i think which is why he thought a lot about them not coming to physical harm.

but after once again accepting that midhoyo just wastes a lot of potential and reconciling the dynamic of past wrioney i had in mind (also uh. writing a fic of them for closure when i've never done anything of the sort before)... i realized theyre the best thing ever actually

enemies to lovers isnt always my cup of tea, but for context i shipped shuake before this so i feel like that primed me for this genshin ship in a way LMAO.. i actually must thank wrio for showing this new side of lyney, the viciously overprotective of his family side that i thought would never be shown, only alluded to. its mesmerizing.

and the thought that lyney, mr. masks and fake-smiles-that-dont-reach-his-eyes wouldnt bother to keep up pretenses with wriothesley anymore since he coaxed that darker side of him effortlessly? really nice.

even traveler who lyney notoriously charms and flirts with gets the mask immediately after the confrontation at the duke's office, the second lyney recharges with his siblings by his side. the beautiful thing about lyney's character is that he is always fake.

but with the duke? i wouldn't be so sure. maybe his real side, claws and bared teeth, comes to light with him and him only.

and that... goes back to the "character going through dynamic arcs" thing i mentioned in the beginning that genshin lacked. now i may be reaching for crumbs here, but i'm pretty sure this ship is the closest thing we'd get for lyney ever going through a character arc. wrio too. when i say they were "made for eachother" i think i realized that it's because they both have parallel backstories. i wont spoil too much for wrio's stories and voicelines, but it's safe to say wrio also has trouble with trusting others easily. something him and lyney can relate on lol. not to mention the orphan thing... ok i wont say more.

i love that their personalities clash so catastrophically. i love that i can never predict what genshin will do next with them. this all makes shipping them so fun. i have literally never had as much fun with shipping for this game since.... ever! really. as the game evolves, the character writing and by extension their interactions with eachother do too. and i'd say it's an improvement. i'm hopeful for the future :]

Onto the headcanons...

• Diego and some woman hooked up which resulted in none other than you. After the woman decided she didn't want kids Diego was left to take care of you

• He didn't care though

• One of the things he loved the most was that you shared his powers with him

• He absoloutely adored you

• His family were a whole other story when it came to loving you

• Luther, even though not liking Diego, liked you

• He didn't exactly love you since you were a lot like Diego but he thought you were cute and occasionally held you

• Allison absoloutely loved you

• She spoiled you rotten

• You had the absoloute best clothes

• Klaus though

• He practically was glued to you

• You adored him and absoloutely loved everything about him

• Would watch any show with you regardless of how kiddy it is and ends up watching stuff like Gravity Falls with you every day

• He would eventually let you do trick or treating with Klaus however he'd make sure Allison or Five would also be there so you don't end up getting killed

• Being scarily like your father

• Him being one of the only people who could calm you down during a tantrum. Those people being: Diego, Five and Klaus (Sometimes Eudora)

• (Spoiler for S1:E4) You also saw Eudora as a mother figure so when she died it broke your heart but we'll just pretend it never happened

How I would have done a blackened Sonia

All right, so, I never thought Sonia was going to survive till the end of the game. She seemed suspicious to me in every trial and I felt she always had possible ways of killing the victim that were less far fetched then some of the actual killers.

She also seemed easy to kill, she is a princess with 0 real world experience so fooling her into being in dangerous situations would be easy. Being a foreigner as well, means you could get away with some bullshit saying it was just cultural difference.

I know Kazuichi is the easy route, but I think it would be interesting if she killed him.

I'm thinking specially about chapter 4, where she would have been the killer instead of Gundham. In part because when I played I thought that Gundham is was dumb to make an elaborate kill like Nekomaru's. However, I would make Gundham the most suspect person in this one case.

Since he and Sonia spent a long time together that chapter for the first time, it makes a quick correlation between him, her and Kazuichi.

The circumstances of Kazuichi's death would be:

-He is found dead stabbed on the chest, laying in his own bed;

-He is found with strange blood splatters in his suit. His arm is close to his body, but the blood splatters in his sleeve and chest form a big and unusual angle.

-his knees are pointing to the wall, close to the end of the bed, but the knife is in his chest, so if the person was sat in the bed they would have had to reach around him to kill him, or he really was stabbed while laying on his back.

In my version, I'd add more scenes to the chapter: one of some of the students playing with Gundham's hamsters, probably Hajime, someone from strawberry house and Kazuichi himself, adding a new clue:

-He has white, grey and brown fur on his hand/sleeve.

The other scene would be very minor, Kazuichi would go explore the Straeberry house together (as usual the victim spends more time with the protagonist before their death). Kazuichi and Hajime have a very awkward time since Kazuichi is clearly so suspicious of Hinata since the last trial. They never solve this weird tension and it keeps bugging Hinata after the trial because he knows Kazuichi wanted to believe him because of the talk they had during exploring the house.

During the exploration of the strawberry house/grape house there is a throw away line mentioning that Kazuichi paints his nails very poorly. Which leads me to the new clue about the body:

-Kazuichi's nails are perfectly painted black.

Someone beside's Nagito still has used the final room and someone notes that one of Kazuichi's tools is missing from his toolbox, that Kazuichi has mentioned to Hajime that he is proud to still complete (he is clumsy, he loses stuff sometimes). The elevator is broken in the grape house.

Now to the trial:

Sonia is one of the very first accused, but is quickly considered innocent since she wasnt part of the playing with the 4 devas of destruction scene. She even assumes she isnt as sad as she would be for his death like he was from previous victims, but that is shrugged off since he did bother her a lot and she was never seen being mean to him.

As I said, Gundham is suspect n°1. The fur in Kazuichi's hand/ sleeve is the collor of the 4 devas of destruction, though the other person in the scene and Hajime are also framed and considered suspects (mainly Hajme, since he also searched the houses with Kazuichi).

Out of the ones left, who else wears black nail polish? Gundham of course. Someone reveals that they did see Gundham entering his room, but all the other floors of the house where occupied and no one saw him in them beforehand.

I already told you Sonia is guilty, and I think part of the reason they move away from her so soon would be that often the game comes up with weird complicated tangents that distract from the real case, but the cases are often stupidly complicated as well, so this would get the player off their rithym by actually being one of the easiest things to explain.

"The elevator was stuck in grape house, but he died in strawberry house. The murdered probably made it stop on grape house as a red herring!" How did he do that? Idk, but they assume that's it and latter have to return and remember theres no proof of a way someone in strawberry house could make the elevator stop at grape house.

"Sonia wasnt playing with the hamsters, the fur in Kazuichi's sleeve was probably from that moment" Sonia didnt play with the dark devas, but that doesnt mean she couldn't have done it in another moment, when she was hanging out with Gundham.

"How would have Gundham gotten inside Kazuichi's room?" First conclusion is that he offered to paint Souda's nails as a excuse to get in his room.

And heres the thing: he was indeed the one who painted Kazuichi's nails, it even happened in Kazuichi's room. The someone who saw him enters his room did actually see him coming back from Kazuichi's room, but at that moment Kazuichi was still alive.

What happened was: Sonia went to Kazuichi's room after Gundham left, because she knew Gundham was going there, he mentioned it to her when they explored the houses together.

She gets in the room and plays a little with Kazuichi, pretends to be interested, gives him some affection and he ends up laying on her lap, which makes things easy when she finally stabs him.

Theres 2 ways you could play this out, the Souda x Gundham way and the non shipy way.

So if you are not interest in the shiping side, heres how I would do it: Gundham doesnt like seeing people fight, it's part of his nurturing nature, he offers to paint Kazuichi's nails as a peace offering and to explain he isnt romantically interested in Sonia, as well as to ask him to not doubt Hinata either, since he can sense (as in: knows by his body lenguage) that Hajime doesnt plan on hurting anyone, much less Kazuichi who he considers a friend.

Sonia did approach Gundham for an interest in his obscure aesthetic and the thing about raising animals that is important for courtship rituals in her country, that she mentions in her free time event. But when Gundham tells her he wants to talk to Kazuichi she is an opportunity to frame him for the murder, she is already reached her boiling point with Kazuichi, even if she doesnt show it (like celeste).

Like celeste, she has been desperate to leave the game (as she also mentions in her free time event). She feels the responsibility to come back to her country, that she cant leave her people without a governor and she finally saw a chance of escaping the island.

Ok, shippy way: Sonia is jealous of Kazuichi because Gundham tells her he has a crush on Kazuichi. And Sonia has a crush on Gundham.

She cant stand Kazuichi anymore, all her life people have pretend to be her friends/lovers to gain her trust and favours, she doesnt trust anyone who is too enthusiastic about being close to her. That's why she likes Gundham, he is mysterious and quiet and she feels she has to conquer him instead of having him lead her on for favours.

Gundham is pretty bad at expressing his feelings but (as seen in his free time events) he is also clearly starved for affection. Kazuichi seems to have a grudge against him and Gundham admires that he is so enthusiastic about how much he likes Sonia, and fuck dude, he wants someone to be in love with him like that.

Sonia is completely done with Kazuichi already, and kills him out of anger and jealousy. He got Gundham interested in him despite being annoying all the time and she feels like he was stealing Gundham from her right when she was able to conquer his friendship.

She likes true crime, she has seen lots of stories of people murdering others for love, she even thinks its romantic.

So yeah, that's it. Its kinds dumb but I think it's ok since so many of the cases in the game are already dumb.

where does the kratt crew get money?

i know its useless to look for logic in a kid's cartoon BUT i always wondered where they might get money from 🤔 "But why would they need money?" well I'm glad you ask!

-Food (either ingredients for Jimmy to cook or drinks, juices, snacks, etc)

-Clothes (they either have to wash everything to get rid of dirt, mud, etc, or buy new clothes. Whatever the case is, both need money)

-Spare parts (to fix everything the bros broke or to make new inventions)

and probably a lot of other things 5 young adults might need but i can think of right now. How? how do they do it? where do they get food and clothes and all those tires to fix the createrra and basically how are they not dead?

Do they get donations cuz in-universe they're famous? can they get away with stealing as long as its from rich people (also explaining why none of the villains call the police on them)? Is the Wild Kratts universe a utopia where everyone can do what they want because the resources are distribuited equally and the governments work together to make the world a better place for everyone and thats why these five CELEBRITIES with incredible environmental friendly tech are not only NOT questioned about their actions but probably supported by millions of people around the world?

ive basically got 2 different versions of it? kinda? i have one where all of the pt’s have a palace because yaldobaoth saw that they were going to cause trouble for him in the future so he stirred up their issues so they wouldnt come for him (didnt end up working but good effort) , and i have one where they all have a dungeon because of the repressed emotions/sides of themselves

i’ll talk about the actual p4 shadow mechanics one though-

so basically in this au its the same plotline as p5/p5r (you can choose to slap sumire and maruki there if you want) but its more concentrated on the pt’s journey of healing

i dont exactly remember the order i planned for you to go through the dungeons but i do know i wanted akirens at the end. other than that completely jumbled so i’ll just list them off in order of party member obtainment hdkdhdjhd

(also yes i know not everyone in p4 got their own dedicated dungeon but shhhhh i do what i want)

morgana’s dungeon is a train! his is a train because hes simultaneously suppressing his fear of being useless and his entitlement are constantly in a battle with one another, leading him around and around in a constant loop. his shadow self has two different forms, the self assured conductor and the cowardly stoker. the conductor mona always insults the stoker and the stoker mona can often be found hiding in some corner

ryuji’s dungeon is a stronghold, and his shadow self is a raging warlord, since hes suppressing his anger towards the world, his need to prove himself, and his inability to accept how he lost the thing that was the most important to him (track)

ann’s is a fun one— her dungeon is a cloudtop palace where she is worshipped by the townspeople below. her shadow form is literally just a goddess, and also the physical embodiment of ann’s conflicting feelings towards attention and how she feels better than other sometimes

yusuke’s dungeon is also on a mountain, but his is a temple, completely isolated from society because his pent up emotions are towards his arrogance and feelings of superiority towards others, and struggling to live up to what people believe him to be. he considers himself a bit of a prophet/chosen by the art god madarame which is another reason he stays up in the mountain

(he only sculpts and paints with ice and water, so if anyone ever comes up the mountain he can destroy it quickly ​​because if no one sees his work no one can say its bad)

makoto is a gladiator, her perfectionism and trust issues are things holding her back. shes the only one who ever fights in the arena, because even whenever she became the best of the best and didnt have to fight anymore/earned herself a spot among champions, she still did because all she ever saw whenever someone else went was all their flaws so she works herself to the bone making everything perfect.

futaba’s is simple but fun. just a gal loose in a jungle. what crimes shall she commit while she flees from reality

haru’s is very sad, in my opinion. i hurt myself making it but i stand by it. her shadow self is a bartender and the way i reasoned it was that shes always been treated as an adult, never really allowed to have a childhood, and in her dungeon as the bartender shes forced to work and work and work for these people that care nothing about her. she hides away her apathy and her anger, because no matter what she does her decisions will never matter because her life has never truly been her own, so shes trapped between being completely uninterested with the world because she cannot live her life the way she wants, and rage because how DARE these people control and use her like this

(also fun thing: ryuji is not available to use during this dungeon, and during the first time entering ann stays with him to keep him calm, so you wouldnt be able to use her either)

akechis is,,,, strange too but his is a zoo, his shadow self being the zookeeper/tour guide, and the animals are different parts of his personality to gawk at, because he feels like hes always under constant surveillance and no one sees him for him

hello ! just spent a couple of hours browsing your welsh tag whilst procrastinating a uni assignment, throughly enjoyed it would recommend

as someone who grew up half welsh but living in england 75% of the time i find that i really know nothing about the culture despite my nain being an active member of the local community and literally teaching reciting for eisteddfod competitions

i have basiaclly 0 experience of welsh culture, aside from the basic anti english sentiment so I was wondering where i should start becasue ive been interested for so long (literally being trying to learn welsh since i was 13, my sisters are in welsh medium schooling too - my whole family speaks) and im an almost completed duolingo course down and none the wiser on the actual culture

theres the mabinogion but which version? and i saw your mari lwyd post a while ago but ive ?? never heard about this, like i didnt even really know that cheese was so important to welsh culture and i have no idea where to start but i viscerally want to know, ya know?

Hello hello! I am thrilled my nonsense corner of the internet is pleasing to you. I saw this ask and gaily went to grab the link to this post I wrote in October, because it was in answer to someone with a very similar question, but I’ve just realised you’ve liked that post and so have presumably read it already. So I shall say that most of my recommendations are in there, and I will now be more specific about the exact questions you’ve asked here.

Best version of the Mab: Sioned Davies’ 2008(?) translation (actually it must have been earlier, I used it in my first degree. Maybe 2006). HOWEVER, the free online version at mabinogi.net is annotated to explain a lot of the cultural/religious background of what you’re reading, so that’s great. It only covers the Four Branches, though, so you’ll need the Sioned Davies version for the rest.

So, the Mari Lwyd is something that most Welsh people don’t know about, either. Cultural genocide is a real thing, and we had it bad for a looong time. The cheese thing is particularly unknown unless you’re a fucken nerd (me) who has studied it. So, don’t feel bad on those. That post I’ve linked above has a link to the best book on Welsh faerie mythology (free online again) and it covers a lot of interesting aspects to all of this.

But, you actually have a head start over a lot of people - you have resources in your family. Grab your nain, pour her a panad and ask her about llefaru in the Eisteddfod - how does it work? What makes it good vs bad? What skill is it showing off? My husband was trained in llefaru from the age of about three, and is now a stand-up comedian - a lot of the skills he uses come from llefaru. Ask her why that might be.

Then ask her how the judging works. If you want a laugh, ask her what happens if the judges don’t think any of the adorable six year olds competing are good enough. Ask her about other Eisteddfod competitions - even if she’s not trained in cerdd dant, for example, she can probably tell you how it works. 

Grab your sisters. Ask them about youth culture - they may not be heavily involved, but find out! What musical trends are about? Welsh language memes? That sort of thing.

The future of Resident Evil and Valenfield (of course)

So It’s me again and I’m here to talk a little about what I think it’s going to happen with this series and my main ship - “Valenfield all the way, always”

First let’s talk about this game here...

Resident Evil 3 Remake

First of all, I’m really happy to see Jill again, the last time we got a chance to play using her was in Revelations 1 and that game was released in 2012 - that time she also got a different character model

What I liked about the game was the nostalgia, if we look at the graphics and gameplay it's the same engine so it hasn't changed much (not that this is bad). In this game we have the fact that Nemesis proves himself to be the most feared BOW so far in the franchise, all the persecutions and all the determination to eliminate JV, his ability to evolve and continue only with the goal of killing someone shows what Umbrella wants, to create life that is capable of changing the course of a war...But Umbrella made a stupid decision to make this creature go after Alpha’s team finest. (Spencer was trying to become a god - that’s why he used Umbrella)

Capcom had informed us that their idea was to launch RE2 and RE3 together, that is, the game model was almost ready that’s why it didnt take long to release RE3, if you played both you would not complain that the main campaign is short but playing only RE3 it feels like it is very short... Indeed that is, If you analyze the city map it is small and does not give you any freedom to explore, same thing with the other maps and this is very sad, especially for a fan who wants to explore every corner of RC.

ABOUT VALENFIELD

I had said in a post before that there would be a good number of people shipping Jill with Carlos (I was prepared for that), but what I didn’t expect is that she wouldn’t mention Chris in the game, we didn’t even get a chance to go into RPD as Jill to read the letter he had left.

BUT THERE IS MORE

WTF, SHE DIDN’T SAY A WORD about Chris probably dying, one thing that I miss a lot from old versions of RE games, is that we see what they are thinking about the object when they interact with it - when he actually moves to Europe he leaves a letter saying he’s okay so Claire wouldnt be worried (HE’S THE BEST BROTHER - dafuq)

BUT THERE IS MORE - HOW DO I UNLOCK HER DIARY ???

I wanted to see how Capcom would adapt this, but they didnt put this file in the game - Not that we know of (because her diary is a secret file in the original game)

AND FINALLY SOMETHING GOOD

In the old version of the game we had this epilogue, but I didn't think they were going to put it that way, because it was going to be kind of weird, so what they did was show Chris (Chris is highly associated with the color green) with the vaccine - that means - She found him in Europe / She is probably in the same apartment as him, because who the hell would rent a place if there is a possibility of sharing the rent

Since I’m really mad about the lack of Valenfield content let’s talk about the future of Resident evil games.

REMAKES or new stories ? Why not both ?

An insider at Capcom said that RE8 has been rebooted,this would mean that the game would be far from release but the beta testers of RE Revelations 3 had great reviews, so REV3 became Resident Evil 8.

But that doesnt mean that we wont get more Reworks in the meanwhile and there is two games that comes in my mind right now.

Resident Evil : Code Veronica

Whoever played this game knows how good it is, the protagonists are nothing less than the Redfield brothers and Stevie Burnside unraveling the mysteries of the Ashford family, and this game can easily be remade, because it has so much information about Resident Evil universe, about Wesker and Umbrella, let’s not forget about the horror, this is a survival horror game for sure, the files that we see in the camp are scary af.

Since RE has been getting a lot of new fans this would be appreciated by the new one and the old ones. Claire’s character model already showed a lot of interest to play her again in code Veronica - and to see a young Chris Redfield again it would be so cool.

But there is another option, that in my opnion wouldn’t even be considered a Remake, because i’m not talking about an actually a game.

I’m talking about RESIDENT EVIL:Umbrella Chronicles

Don't let the WII logo fool you Resident Evil Revelations was a Nintendo DS exclusive, when it became multiplatform it was very welcome and had great reviews, being the first of the most recent games to bring Survival horror back

Umbrella Chronicles is one of the most important in the history of Resident Evil because it’s the only one that shows how Chris and Jill set the end of Umbrella (this sound familiar, right ? ) that’s because you saw this in the ending

it should be after Code Veronica to follow chronological order

This game is really short, and it shows so many stuff about RE 0 and RE1, so if they decided to make a “Remake” version of Umbrella’s fall it would be so nice because they wouldnt be actually tied to the original game - (Like RE2 and RE3) - they could use the same history but have creativity freedom to do more things, more maps, more enemies, more dialogue PLEASE and keep the “No Ladies first this time?”

Pairing: Min Yoongi x female reader

Summary: You believed your relationship with Yoongi became toxic at one point. You think he doesn't love you anymore, so, telling him your little secret won't hurt, right ? He wants to tell you something too, but is it too late ?

Important note: i did a happy ending version just in case you weren't good with angst. The chapter is almost the same except the ending so if you don't want to read the whole thing again, you can scroll down to the part where Yoongi tells you about his sudden distant behaviour in the past. Yoongi ran through the hallways of the hospital with anxious eyes and shaking hands. As soon as he got the room number from the receptionist he hurried to room No. 42 to be by your side. Yes. Your side.

•One hour earlier•

Minji bombarded you with messages while looking around your house only to find you nowhere, she knit her eyebrows in confusion. 'Where were you ?' She put her phone back in her coat pocket and started opening the only three doors in your small flat. "Are you playing hide and seek with me ?" , she asked in a loud and playful voice. When you didn't reply Minji got more confused.

"Y/n ?" Minji raised her voice, just in case you weren't able to hear her.

A gasp escaped Minji's mouth as soon as she saw you.

Right after she had opened the door to your storeroom she saw you lying unconscious on the floor.

Yoongi felt as if all the oxygen had stopped entering his body, because it quite literally had. As soon as he gained his senses back he messaged Minji.

•Present time•

Minji heard the door creak open. She snapped her head in that direction.

Yoongi stood there. His face pale, seeing you on the hospital bed. Minji rushed to his side and cried on his shoulder while Yoongi placed a comforting hand on her back.

Both of them were upset at your situation. Why was this happening ?

Minji slowly opened the door to your room with a tray. Once she saw you awake she almost dropped the food she was getting for you. She regained her balance before walking over to you and keeping the food tray away.

“Y/n ?”

“Yes unnie ?” You did your best to sound normal but your voice came as a whisper.

Smiling sadly at this, she held your hand and kissed your forehead.

And her eyes got teary as she started apologizing.

"I'm so sorry Y/n that I couldn’t be there for you. And the one time I show up we don't even get to have a movie marathon."

You both let out a soft chuckle while sobbing.

Minji picked up the tray before saying, "Now let's eat, shall we ?"

While she helped you eat you asked Minji about her studies but she dismissed those questions and asked you questions about your health instead.

You always hoped that the moment you would meet your best friend again would be the happiest. You weren’t planning it to be in a hospital.

But what mattered was that she was back. The only person who had been with you the whole time even if she wasn't physically present.

Minji had left the room after some time because Yoongi soon came in after hearing you had woken up and she wanted you two to have privacy. When the door shut Yoongi slowly walked towards you. He sat down on the bed and held your hand.

"I- I want to tell you something. Something that's been killing me."

"I'm here." you comforted, giving him a sign to continue.

You could see Yoongi was hesitant at first but he also knew that he needed to get it out.

"I had tried my best to not fall in love with you since the first time i ever saw you because I wasnt allowed. But silly me just had to fall head over heels for you. You are just so perfect. I had my whole future planned out with you, I wanted only and only you. I would give you anyhing you wanted and I for once wanted to become someone in my life and it was all for you."

Tears could be seen in his eyes and his delicate fingers were now rubbing circles on the back of your hand as if he was handling something very fragile.

"But all my dreams started crashing like a glass because of my father. I was so lost in you that I had forgotten that I was already forced into an engagement with a girl whose family would provide riches to my father. I tried my best to hide you from him and everyone who could hurt you. I had money, I was working and I was getting ready to take you with me somewhere far for he would never let me marry you. But once again i was thrown down from the sky. My father found out about you and I was forced to cut ties with you. Now i knew i wouldnt be able to do that and my devastation started hurting you: after realizing I immediately tried to get you out of my stupid life. It was necessary Y/n. I loved you too much to let you go but I had to or I would loose you."

He took a deep breath before continuing.

"Y/n that d-day I didnt cheat. I was beaten up by my dad and I decided to drink to drown the sadness. In this state, my fiancee tried to make a move on me. You didn't see the whole thing. But once again I couldnt tell you everything."

"I had to pretend-" his voice broke.

"I had to pretend that I did it and use it as a way to get you away, and believe me Y/n it broke me so damn much."

You rubbed his back gently trying to control your sobs while Yoongi tried to even out his breathing.

"Did you notice Y/n that even after my sudden change i used to try to be normal again ?" He asked looking at you.

"I tried to take you away from home for a while but whenever i got close to my dream my father pulled me to reality."

You nodded remembering how whenever you saw a glimpse of the old Yoongi, he’d receive a phone call and would leave you there without a word.

"Y/n he told me he'd hurt you, I'm so sorry but I was too weak to face him. And what you had to face Y/n, It hurts me. Even the simple thought of it. I shouldn’t even be allowed to ask for your forgiveness. When you said you had cancer, I broke down right there. I hated myself, I hated that I wasnt there when you found out, tha- that i wasnt there to comfort you. And that I was pushing you away when you were trying to tell me. But I couldn't hate myself when I tried to save you from my life. After you stopped visiting me I broke the relationship with my father, I did regret not being able to do it before but only after all the damage was I able to trick him in a contract. Even after all the crying, breaking relationships and running i still couldn't let you come near me again and risk you getting hurt again."

"I am a terrible person who will just hurt you..."

Yoongis' voice, strained fron tears slowly faded away at the last sentence because of the emotional atmosphere. Now yoongi was shaking and crying on your shoulder while you whispered comforting words to him. The room was filled with his muffled sobs and your breaking voice softly soothing him.

When he finally looked at you and locked eyes he spoke the words you had wanted to hear from all these years.

"I love you, very much. And I dont want to loose you. You're my heartbeat, without you...without you I'm nothing."

Yoongi saw you smiling before you spoke what he was dying to hear.

"I love you yoongi and I always will."

That was the last thing he heard from you because Minji had come back. 

“The nurse needs to check her. Yoongi....can you step out with me for a moment ?” Some strands of Minji's hair were stuck to her face because of her tears.

Yoongi knew something was wrong so he followed Minji outside right away.

"Minji, what's wrong ?"

"Yoongi it broke me when I found out so please just be ready for for what I'm about to tell you."

Minji hesitated for a second before continuing.

"Yoongi, Y/N never told me about her condition. No matter how much I tried she would just wave away the topic. Hell, she never even told me which cancer she had. Of course, her cancer is not curable just like any other but breast cancer at stage 0 can make a person live for at least 5 years. She never payed attention to that, she didn't even try to reach out to us for help. With you and me gone she-"

Minji lifted her head to look at the ceiling while closing her eyes but it didn't help her with holding in her tears.

She slowly continued, "She was so lonely that she didn't want to live. Sh-she wanted to give up hope."

Yoongi then took Minji in his embrace and let her sob on his shoulder because he knew how broken his best friend was.

Once Minji pulled away, Yoongi started rambling, "Alright then, I- I'll just go to the bank. I just need some time but I'll get something sorted-"

Minji grabbed Yoongi's hand to stop him. "No Yoongi. You're not going to be paying for anything. The both of you have always hid your troubles from me, suffering alone. I will not let that happen ever again. I want you, Yoongi to stay by her side while I sort everything out."

Saying this Minji walked away to make a call to her family doctor.

You had accepted that giving up without trying to live was easier but you didn't know you had enough time to stop the timer from reaching it's end.

Now holding hands with both Yoongi and Minji, staring at the beautiful scenery of the mountains that layed before the three of you, you laughed loudly.

Although your cancer was not curable, Minji was able to help you get treatment which would help you live. It was rare, no very rare for a cancer patient to live a very long life but it didn't matter if you had only seven or more years left, you wanted to spend them with Minji and Yoongi. Your Minji and Yoongi.

"THIS IS SO MUCH FUN !", Minji shouted.

"It makes it better that I'm here with the two of you.", Yoongi added.

You looked sideways at the pair. It was such a beautiful moment.

"Hey remember the thing we used to do in highschool ?", Yoongi asked to you both.

"Are you talking about when we randomly shouted together ?", Minji asked, voice bubbling with excitement.

You decided to come in. "At three, ok ?"

"3, 2, 1 !!!!!"

Loud cheers erupted from the roadside.

After screaming on the top of your lungs the three of you started laughing happily.

Such moments deserved to be treasured for ever.

The three of you together.
