huge fan of how they did this 1.20 update so far. the changes really do feel like “they are doing things to make minecraft more minecraft”, just adding several small things that makes everything feel nicer is exactly what i want from an update. just… small details! huge fan of that! also a big fan of them going “we are only going to show you features that are done”. it does mean we don’t actually get to know what they’re planning until it’s about to be in a snapshot, which will be an adjustment, but it’ll prevent all the nonsense that happened around 1.19, so I’m a fan. overall, like how 1.20 is looking!

genuinely all the pairs are insane. shoutout, for example, to tango and jimmy, the single most doomed pair of people i can possibly imagine. mr. “dies with tragic futility” and mr. “dies first despite his best efforts” are on the same team AND one of them was already blown up by a creeper. i cannot imagine a more “will die first” pairing. those poor boys i’m already planning their funeral,

“Alright,” Jevin says, “now you just have to give the egg basket back.”
Grian stares at him with big, black, soulful eyes, and holds the basket closer to himself. “...give... you... the eggs...?”
Jevin closes his eyes and mentally counts to five before opening them again. “Yeah. That was the point of the game, right? Collect the eggs and then give them back to prove you’d found them.”
Grian continues to stare.
“So you hand me the basket...”
“Are... are you keeping an eye on them?” Grian asks.
“Keeping an eye on the eggs.”
“Well, it’s a dangerous world out there,” Grian says. “You never know when some maniac with TNT might show up. Probably best to just keep these in my ne- base. Keep these in my base.”
“A maniac with TNT?“ says Jevin, in a tone of voice he hopes conveys exactly who the maniac with TNT normally is on the server.
“You never know,” Grian says. “You’ve seen the eggs now. You know I found them. Really, what do you need all those eggs for? Surely you won’t miss these, right?”
Jevin sighs. “Yes, but I need the eggs to prove you didn’t cheat. You can’t win unless you turn them in.”
Grian stares blankly at Jevin, big black eyes watering as he tries to decide between winning (a thing Grian is very bad at giving up on) and, presumably, some stupid bird instinct that’s refusing to let him let go of the eggs. Jevin’s not sure which one is winning. He is sure, however, that he is slightly regretting making the egg hunt actually use eggs.
Because, he thinks wryly, it’s hardly just Grian.
“Jevin,” Doc says, landing on the platform to the egg hunt central area. Grian makes a sound somewhere between a hiss and a squawk and pulls his shulker full of carefully-padded and protected eggs closer to his chest. “I have found all of my eggs.”
“Excellent! Now, if you’ll hand them over -”
Doc is holding a shulker close to his chest. “Give you my eggs? Don’t be ridiculous.”
...the worst part, Jevin thinks, as he tries to figure out how to negotiate with a bunch of hybrids who haven’t slept in too long and therefore don’t realize they’re being irrational, is that the others are almost certainly going to insist on playing again next year. Something about optimal hiding spots. Next year, though, he swears: he’s not calling them eggs.

general writing advice, actually: you don’t need an excuse beyond “BUT WOULDN’T THIS BE COOL” to write something into your fic. write things in solely because they make you cackle with the delight of a 12-year-old-boy playing with his dinosaur toys. it’s fun and there’s nothing stopping you or any of us at all any longer.

Things I've noticed in D3: The Mighty Ducks Part 1
I have watched these movies a few dozen times over the past 2 weeks and these are just some things I noticed.
Tumblr media
When they are accepting their scholarships, Portman is with them. I missed him at first.
The Dean puts his arm around Charlie and Russ. While Charlie appears unbothered; Russ shows repulsion in a way.
So, Bombay obviously told Casey about the job offer which makes me question how long he actually knew.
In D2, it's mentioned Charlie had a step-dad. What happened to him? Is he dead?
I love that the new ducks are on time and the old ducks aren't. Also, when in the group, Luis seems less sleazy than he is later.
I appreciate how even if they're teenagers, the boys never treat the girl ducks as anything less than equal.
Charlie, why are you wearing 3 layers. I mean, I get it's Minnesota, but it's fall. It's not that cold.
In D2 and this one, the captions are sometimes wrong. Like you clearly know one person said a line, but another is credited. You'd think Disney could fix that.
Varsity says their the only hockey team but also states his brother lost his JV spot due to the Ducks. So which is it? Pick a lane, Riley.
The old ducks are seen skating in, and the formation is interesting. Averman in front, Connie and Guy next. Then you have Charlie and Adam, which, tbh makes me smile. Lastly, Fulton and Goldberg make sense cause they are technically the most inexperienced skaters.
Through his whole off trail trip, Goldberg manages to skate backward, downstairs, and through water without falling. For not being a skater, that's pretty impressive.
He also does like 4 spins after losing the hose but still stays standing. Like I said impressive. Also, why didn't he just brake? He's not Luis. He knows how to brake.
Also, when they go off the bridge and land, he stays standing. Face it Goldberg you're a skater, and damn good one.
I love how when they land, they automatically form the V again. Is that a subconscious thing, or did they just decide it one day.
I'm certain they just showed the horses as the Ducks skated in, so we wouldn't question where Dwayan found a horse. However, I didn't question it anyway. I thought it was just something he could do.
Poor Adam looks traumatized. Like he's questioning his whole life. "I was a good student, I grew up in a well todo place. How did I end up here?!"
Luis' look of exasperation is my favorite thing. He is so done with them.
You can tell the new ducks love the old cause they do facepalm, but it is with affection and not anger. Like, "Look at these dumbasses. Those are our dumbasses!"
I love how Charlie calls the other students prepsters. Like Charlie, you're from Minneapolis, Minnesota. It's not exactly the wrong side of the tracks, my dude!
Dean Buckley is unnecessarily creepy but I also love him ngl.
Of course, Adam is the only one dressed up. No wonder they call you preppy.
It's ok, Fulton, that teacher scares me too.
Oh, look, it's prevy Luis. I missed the you that ran into things. Also, why did they make the Latino character the womanizer. That seems kinda in bad taste.
Group just saw Ken get his lunch stolen and did nothing. Kenny deserves better.
Honestly, I love Linda, but she does feel like more of a prop than a character.
The fact that the whole team showed up in different uniforms. Unity, what's that, don't know her.
Scooter is too good for the other Varsity but the boy needs to grow a backbone. Tell your teammates to stop being dicks.
Dwayne is such a stereotype and God bless him for that.
I wish Julie and Connie shared more screen time. Their friendship is so adorable!
Not Averman hiding in the net. 😂😂
Charlie said they've been together for 4 years. So if the Goodwill Games was in 94 that means this takes place in 98. Meaning most of them were around 11 or 12 during the games and like 8, 9 or 10 in the original. Damn.
On skates, it looks like Adam and Charlie look to the be the tallest. With Dwayne being next. Interesting.
Adam always looks like he's one moment away from fight, flight, or freeze. Which is relatable, honestly.
Dwayne smacking Averman is too funny for some reason. Also, Averman sighs after like he's thinking, "I can't win."
Ken has been hanging out with Dwayne too much. That move was strictly showboating.
I love how Julie is so encouraging when she's in the goal. Constantly hyping up her team even when they miss or she blocks. Queen shit tbh.

Omg I love the would you rathers so much- anyway here are my answers:
1. I’m sorry, but I am absolutely chomping. I feel like he’d still make a sexual reference either way, like “Damn, you’re that excited to go down on it? 😏”
2. Yeah Jennifer is getting someone else. Best part is I can get rid of a guy I don’t like!
3. I would never do that to Bubba 😭, I’ll take one for the team. My no-major injury streak had to end sometime
4. Look, Patrick is the one of the many people I’d rather not make an enemy with, so I’ll gladly go sleep on the couch. Chances are someone else might tell him to shut up though.
5. I do not trust Chucky within an inch of my life. Jason will at least be courteous and withhold on the chopping, can’t say the same for Michael but if I’m quick enough, I can get by without a stab wound.
6. Omg this one was so hard. I guess I’ll go with Beetlejuice. At least I can make him go away
7. As a child of divorced parents, going into the kitchen with two people are arguing will be just like old times. If I want chips I’m getting chips
8. Well, I have no idea how hard she’s flinging that table. So sorry Carrie, as much as I would like to help you, I’d rather not possibly die by table
9. So my favorite Slasher is Jason and my favorite Non-favorite is Pennywise. I honestly don’t know if either of them really need my help, but if I had to pick one…..I’ll save Penny. Jason has a history of coming back after dying so he’ll be up and going again soon. Penny can only do so much against an adult
10. I’m going to Mama Voorhees, I think she’ll appreciate the honesty. If I go to Freddy, I’ll have to owe him a favor, and something tells me he’ll take full advantage of that
11. Truth. God knows what they’d make me do as a dare.
12. Again, a very hard choice. I guess I’ll go with Patrick, at least he’ll try to make me look flattering.
13. I would definitely want Penny to turn into Freddy. It would come as no surprise to anyone if “Freddy” flirted with Pam. Plus, it’d be kinda funny seeing Jason chuck Freddy through the wall lol
What are your answers though? 👀
I'm so glad you liked them XDD
Oh he sure would- that or he'd be over dramatic and toony and, like, you would see his soul would crack inside his eyes XDD
Exactly!! I'm glad this is the consensus so far XDD Like, Jennifer's telling ya'll that A sacrifice must be made., and you're just going 'Okay! :D :D :D I have a list!'
That's very brave of you ^^ ^^ XD Bubba should make you a stew.
Oh same. We can brave the living room together! I think if we build the best fort- it should be fine. Haha
Again, guys-
Tumblr media
I just don't think these are the actions of a polite boy!! This is a bitter old man!
6. Hahahaha, I'm glad it was hard 😈😈😈
7. Sameeee!! Don't mind us, guys, just gettin cheezels. Hey do we have- Hey. Hey. HEY- DO WE HAVE THE CHICKEN FLAVOUR??
8. Good call 😅
9. Good point!! We shouldn't worry too much about Jason. He's stubborn ^^ Also- same as Fox Anon!
10. Very honourable!! And you now may befriend Jason because you're pure! Congrats!
11. OKAY YOUR TRUTH! Here we go- from Billy and Stu: Would you live inside Christine, a car, if she allowed you to do so??
12. Ohhh, good choice!! Yeah, and you'd probably get some really nice, expensive digs out of the deal!
13. Its always funny to see Jason take the hammer to Freddy XD I agree.
Thank you for your answers!!! They're were great! Also thank you for the opportunity to give my answers, too! ^^ They're below if you're interested ^^
I'm eating that popsicle normally. I canNOT bite cold things, or hot things, or wood- My teeth are SO SENSITIVE!! If he has a reaction, oh well that sounds like a him problem and he can deal with it.
I'm sure I can find someone for her...
I kinda wanna meet Aubrey II!! 😅😅😅 So yeah, I'll go! Bubba can stay inside and have a tea. But I'm gonna see if I can, like, drop some food down from above somehow.
Couch!! Patrick is scary. Bring all your blankets and pillows and books for the fort. Also chocolate- we'll need rations.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, this one was hard!! I think I have to go with Jason and Michael too, though! I'd rather be manhandled to death (What? Look me in the eyes and tell you that some of those gifs of Michael holding women against walls with knives and yanking them around doesn't do something to you. Look me directly in the eye- ) then whatever that dreaded big red button does... God forbid.
Drayton!~ I love Drayton ^^ And I'm very good at listening. And-
Tumblr media
... no no no- No. No. NO
7. Like I said, I'm with you here.
8. ... *sigh* I'm probably gonna get concussed. Bring on the table!
9. Favourite Slasher? Freddy. Favourite Non-Slasher? Probably Aubrey II now!
... I would love to see this fight XD And I would probably try to save Aubrey II. Like you said- Slashers have a knack for comin back.
10. If Freddy can help me I'm going to him. That way- if it all goes south still and Pam finds out anyway- I'm not going down alone. I am taking him with me. Ha
11. Oh dear god. ... truth...
12. Oh!! Oh! This is hard. I... hmmmm... I'm gonna go with Jerry. He might be nicer to me 😅😅 And he does have a good sense of style.
13. Oof... the thought of real Chucky being oh so confused and wondering why the hell Tiffany is throwing shit at him again is hilarious... But yeah, option B. I'd rather get Freddy chucked out a window then cause a divorce.

I absolutely adore how much of a team these two look in this shot, especially considering the fact Sabrina is the one who has moved to be beside Lilith, not the other way around, so this paired up pose is not a manipulation at all as Sabrina instigated it. Their team stance is totally natural.
But I love that it shows these two as being a team unit right at the beginning. Yes, I know that at this point Lilith has her secret mission and she’s deliberately trying to lead Sabrina down the Path of Night, but this is something different, this is more than her just giving Sabrina what she wants and influencing her, this is the two of them being equally irritated with Prudence and being determined to challenge her. That’s a separate non-Path-of-Night-Mission entirely; Sabrina and Lilith have just ended up being united against Prudence’s dismissive attitude. Both are also mildly irritated by it.
And that’s exactly what I’m talking about when I say these two are so accidentally similar, even if they come from totally different sides of things (literally in their origin case, since Lilith was created by the False God and Sabrina was created by the Devil. Which is oddly shown in their colouring here, Sabrina wearing devilish reds, while Lilith is in earth tones with golden detail).
But they have always been a team, even when they don’t mean to be, even when Lilith wasn’t consciously encouraging it, it’s just their instinct to team up together. They gravitate towards each other, no matter opinions or ulterior motives (which might actually be to do with their respective origins; they’re connected by their very creators, and how they are also linked, as well as being two women who subvert the expectations of their creators). Because whether the two of them like to admit it or not, they both have very similar core personalities and core values (e.g both defiant, both independent, both break down pre-established rules and status quo, both created for a ‘higher’ purpose, both rejected said purpose, both feel connected to the mortal realm in the way other witches don’t (Lilith’s happens over the course of Part 1 and 2 but it’s undeniable she feels at home and makes friends amongst mortals. She even befriends Mrs Meeks), both ostracised for their difference of opinions, both defy the devil as much as they can be vulnerable to his charm (Lilith fell in love with him and Sabrina started to consider him her actual Father), both intensely disliked by Blackwood (not really a core personality thing but it’s interesting, haha), both know their own minds, both believe vehemently in equality, both have an inclination to correct injustices-- even if they might vary on what is considered an injustice). And so they oddly end up on the same side very often, even if they don’t mean to be and even if their reasoning behind their chosen side differ.
But I do love how paired up they are in this shot, a seamless team. And it makes me think how well Lilith would fit into the Spellman family post-part 4 (or even in Part 4 if Lucifer had turned up to fuck shit up). I mean she’s the mother of Sabrina’s little brother, Sabrina’s Aunts are her own son’s midwives/pseudo-nightmothers, she is essentially Sabrina’s third Aunt and her infernal Stepmother, Sabrina is her co-queen/conspirator and infernal Stepdaughter. They just fit and I love how much this shot is foreshadowing for the teamed-up relationship the pair would constantly have; they are bound together as teacher and student, Queen and Regent, Stepmother and Stepdaughter.

OK, look, there are a lot of issues to be had with Becoming Elizabeth but honestly, the problems I've seen were ones I fully expected. The thing with Thomas Seymour, saw it coming a million miles away. I was not shocked, I was disappointed, but I suspected they were going to handle it badly anyway. But the (other) thing that gave me this angry, visceral rage was the Kett's Rebellion subplot. Because the show wants you to think that it was about a poor, illiterate, mindless violent mob of catholic's rebelling against an (imperfect but not "bad") Anglican government, committing atrocities because they were poor, illiterate, violent, stupid peasants who are also Catholics.
The reality is the rebellion was the peasantry rising up in righteous indignation at the abuse of power from landowners cutting off the land from the common people. People couldn't let their animals graze in fields, and families were literally kicked out of their homes. All so rich landowners could close off land to do with what they wanted. With inflation and unemployment on the rise, some landowners also rose the rents of their tenants and wages also dropped. You can't afford to pay my increased rent with your decreased wages? Too bad, get out or I kill you. Everything benefited the rich landowners and they knowingly, intentionally fucked over the poor. Not unlike today!
The government's response to it was swift, violent, and brutal. Maybe 3,000 rebels total were killed to say nothing of the civilian casualties. To add further insult to grievous injury, after the rebellion was quelled it was decreed there would be a national holiday celebrating the rebellion's defeat and lectures were given on the sins of rebelling against your king and government.
I know why they didn't go with this subplot. Because no rich person with power wants the regular, ordinary person to see a rebellion that they can sympathize with and get it in their heads that they can too. Rebellions scare the rich because they know the "poor" outnumber them a million to one. We also live in a modern society where we can think, act, and band together to fight injustice. Why do you think the conservative right wing is so determined to remove as many rights as humanely possible from anyone who isn't exactly like them?
How they chose to portray Kett's rebellion to be as unsympathetic and as inaccurate as possible then turn it around to show how Lord Dudley is a prick while his son Robert can only look dumbfounded when he doesn't show mercy...it doesn't have any impact narratively speaking. We already don't like Lord Dudley. Anyone with a basic knowledge of Tudor history knows he dies. I feel like, a better team of writers could have portrayed the rebellion as sympathetic and Dudley killing the leaders and anyone else tied to it having a stronger emotional impact. There's plenty of material to use to show the divide between Catholics and Protestants.
Hell, go the extra mile and have it narratively tie in with Elizabeth being the victim of a powerful rich man taking advantage of someone who has no support or power of their own. Have her rebel against his attempts to cajole her into a relationship and marriage. My God, the Seymour's ousted her mother and her family from power! She shouldn't want to have anything to do with them!
But no, I guess have it be stupid peasants rebelling as an excuse to murder and steal because poor people are dumb and evil obviously and all non-evangelical Protestant religion makes you evil, and yeah, portray your groomer and abuser as sympathetically as possible.
I guess!

So, I don't normally do this but after watching the first twenty something minutes of Netflix's Blonde all I can say is....
What The Fuck??
What did I just watch? Why was this movie made? How could anyone have possible derived any sort of pleasure in what was seen?
I mean...it was bad guys, it was really bad. Bad as in it turned my stomach watching it, kind of bad. Feeling gross, horrified and uncomfortable the whole time, level of bad. I couldn't even finish watching the movie, I just went "screw this" and fast forwarded to the end.
This movie revels in the violence the character of Marilyn Monroe/Norma Jean endures. It takes sadistic joy in making her suffer. Fully expecting the audience to also revel in her suffering. Hateful is the perfect word for it, its just pain p*rn from start to finish. You can tell this was written and directed by some really fucked up men.
It is also boring as hell. It is badly written in how horrific it treats Monroe's character to just how badly written the script in general is. There is nothing engaging about the story, nothing that makes me think its worth sitting down and watching all the way through for the next hour and a half. The dialogue is stunted, the cinematography is weird, the acting isn't memorable or great and I STG, every other scene is just to provoke shock value.
The weird choice to go back and forth between black and white to color also makes no sense. Because everything is so disjointed and confusing. To say nothing of the freakish obsession the movie has with Marilyn's fixation on her, ugghhh...."Daddy". Which, if I'm being honest, I think is the writers fetish shining through.
Don't bother watching it, your life will be a happier one if you don't.

HTTYD Nine Realms (potential fanfic fuel)
Dragons: The Nine Realms does have some genuine potential but if I may, here's a few changes I'd make from what I've seen.
1.) Have Dr. Kullerson be an archeologist/historian who specializes in Viking history.
It makes far more sense to me story wise. The previous movies and franchise dealt with Vikings and their culture. That wasn't a tiny period in history, that lasted from roughly 790's-1060's CE. There is a lot of ground to cover and Tom's mother could be someone who specializes in Berkian Viking history. Having her be the historian gives writers someone who can give a useful exposition to people new to the franchise while also helping to expand world building.
She'd ask questions like: How did the Viking's go from hating Dragons for over several generations to (what looks like) effectively worshipping them in the span of a single generation? Why did they move from old Berk to new Berk? Where are there ships? Was Hiccup Haddock real or was he a mythical figure like King Arthur? Etc. Etc.
The potential is fascinating because we learn more about what Hiccup, Astrid and the other dragon riders did later in their lives. A big episode could be finding their tomb and all the maps, journals and wellspring of information he wrote down that were spared for future generations.
2.) The Nine Realms are different hidden worlds that the team goes to find.
Hiccup was a Viking, they sailed around the world. Its not impossible to believe that he and Astrid traveled across the globe and learned of other hidden worlds. Hence the series title, Nine Realms. He made a map so that future dragon riders, i.e. Zephyr and Nuffink, can continue protecting the dragons. Which could lead to a whole wealth of storylines that can have Tom traveling the world and meeting other kids like him who learned about the dragons and are protecting them.
3.) The story doesn't need an overarching villain, but there are plenty of potential antagonists
HTTYD and its TV Series had it easy in that regard, since they could use antagonists from the books or just create dragon hunters as enemies. Here, Nine Realms doesn't necessarily need a Viggo, Johann or Bludvist. You can have someone who just hates dragons for the sake of it or for profit but the show shouldn't just do something boring like "Evil Dragon Hunting Group tm". It could be interesting to see the kids fighting against government officials, companies who would try to steal or exploit the dragons, Zoo's and theme parks, and even have antagonists that aren't against dragons per se, but rather concerned about reintroducing a species that hasn't been seen for serval hundred years and how that could negatively impact the current ecosystem.
These wouldn't be easy antagonists with easy solutions, or one dimensional villains. The kids would have to think hard and work together to defeat them, the way Hiccup and the riders did with their enemies.
4.) Dragons have been existing in the world as we know it, we just don't know because they are good at hiding.
One serious complaint I've found from fans point out how it could be even possible that after 1300 years the dragons could survive after living in the hidden realm for so long. My answer, they've been leaving the hidden world on and off, they've just been good at hiding. Believe it or not, there are plenty of unexplored places in the world that humans haven't been to or rarely venture to. Forrests, lakes, jungles, underwater caverns, the ocean. It's not impossible to believe.
Those are just a few ideas, I may add more later. What are other peoples thoughts on this? What would you add, change or recommend?

My #1 post of 2022
One of the things that I enjoyed the most about Iron Widow was Wu Zetian's anger. Her absolute rage at the injustice of her situation. The second hand catharsis I felt reading about someone who is so sick of everyone's bullshit and just lashing out, no fucks given felt weirdly liberating. As someone whose been taught to suppress her anger her whole life and has a stupid amount of difficult time trying to express that anger, (and everyone telling you oh just get angry and let the anger loose, like no you dumb fuck it isn't that easy unlearning a toxic habit that's been ingrained in me for the last thirty years of my entire fucking life!) seeing her rage, felt good.
Anyways, more YA novels where the female lead is not only allowed to get mad and stay mad but isn't punished for it. Please.

Ohhh I've been waiting for this one 😍
Seriously I've been binging season 4 again
Leave me be I'm prepping for season 5
And I've been DYING at how much I adore these boys
Realistically, they are super annoying
Honestly tho, look at me and tell they aren't
Don't lie to yourself YN it's ok to admit it
It takes a special someone to deal with these idiots 🥰
And unfortunately fortunately that's you 🙃
So how did this all start you ask?
Well it started when Ginjima and Suna approached you for help in Math 🧮
So you agreed to help them
As soon as your first tutoring session started, you knew you were in for it
Being that Ginjima and Suna didn't arrive alone 👀
Thing 1 and Thing 2 strolled in with them
🙄🙄
It's fine.... whatever
You are seriously so sweet YN, I would have just up and left 😅
Anyways you agree to help tutor the boys
This goes on for weeks and you grow close to them
They start walking with you from classes and escorting you home after practice
You help them ace their math tests 💅 but they aren't ready to let you be
So Suna says you should just be their manager
You 👉🏻 what 😃
Ginjima 👉🏻😍
Suna 👉🏻😏
Osamu 👉🏻😁
Atsumu 👉🏻 😒
Seriously Atsumu has to put a front just because...
He secretly loves you 😍
So when the boys introduce you to Kita and the team, Kita is initially very weary of you
This isn't his first rodeo YN 🤠
He's had to practically bar girls and boys from the gym for Atsumu and Osamu reasons
But when the twins start fighting and you simply roll your eyes, tell them to knock it off and go back to talking with Kita 👀
Mans is sold instantly 🙌🏻
Yay for Manager YN 🥳
Now being Manager of these boys only serves to heighten the feelings and protectiveness
You are THEIR manager YN not anyone elses
You are the sweetest, kindest and most adorable manager ever 🥺
So it only makes sense that when Nationals comes around, these boys are on one
Like they may or may not have mapped out the entire stadium and made a schedule for whose going to protect YN and when
Suna will definitely be walking with you because you walk in the back
We have to make sure nobody gets lost ☺️
Suna will hold your hand 🤚🏻
I mean, you aren't complaining 😏
When it comes to warming up, Kita and Ginjima are going to make sure you are safe
Ginjima totally has an eye out for stray balls and is making sure their precious manager doesn't get hit
Finally it's almost time for the match against Karasuno
Atsumu says he has to use the bathroom and you do too
Honestly these bathroom trips are deadly 🤣
You go about your business unaware that Atsumu has up and abandoned you
Mans is focused on the game ok so he's got a one track mind
Serve 👉🏻 Set 👉🏻 Repeat
So him leaving you wasn't exactly planned
You wander out of the bathroom and into a sea of giants
Freaking forest this place is
"Ummm Atsumu?" You say searching for the twin with the bad hair
Meanwhile Atsumu is walking 🚶‍♂️ back to the gym and enters, joining the huddle
If takes a few minutes for anyone to realize you're missing
It's not until the coach says "YN I need the notes from Karasuno's first match"
It hits them all at once
Coach 👉🏻 "YN?"
Kita 👉🏻😐😳
Suna and Ginjima 👉🏻😳😵
The rest of the team 👉🏻😶😲
Atsumu 👉🏻😃😐😟😰
Osamu 👉🏻🤬🤜🏻👱🏼
"You lost YN ya idiot!!!"- Osamu, wrestling YN to the ground
Everyone is panicking
Aran and the rest of the team are trying to seperate the Twins
Suna and Ginjima have taken off looking for you
Kita is pulling out his phone to call you 🙄
Seriously the only chill one
You of course are wandering the halls when your phone rings
"Hi Kita! I think I'm lost"
God you are so cute 😍
"Stay where you are YN and I'll come find you"- Kita
You literally stop and wait ✋️
Unfortunately for you, you stop behind someone with white blonde hair and bird like features 👀
That's right
The Ace of Kamomedai High, Hoshiumi Kōrai
"Oh excuse me!" You screech as you hault behind him
He turns to look at you and studies you with a glare
You get nervous
"I uhh- I ummm- I was just looking for my team"- you 😬
"Stop intimidating her"- Hirugami Sachirō, middle blocker for Kamomedai says coming behind Hoshiumi
"I DIDNT DO ANYTHING"- Hoshiumi
"I'm Sachirō and you are?" 😏
"I'm YN! Nice to meet you!"- you being freaking adorable
"I'm actually looking for my team. Can you point me in the direction of the gym?"- You
"I'll do you one better and take you there"- Sachirō, legit gorgeous man 😍
You 👉🏻 ok 😍😊
Hoshiumi 👉🏻 🙄😑
Sachirō lays his hand on your lower back and guides you through the crowd
I mean, mans is 🥵 so we don't fight it
However, you don't make it far thanks to a certain someone 👀
"YN there you are... who the hell are you?"- Suna 😑
"Hi Suna! Sachirō was just helping me back to the gym!"- you 🤗
Suna 👉🏻 😐😑 "well I got it from here"
Suna grabs you and pulls you against him
Ok then 👀 I mean YN you are out here living the dream don't fight it
Ginjima, Osamu and Atsumu finally all pull up
They all glare at Sachirō who is just smirking 😏
Seriously he knows what he's doing
"Come on YN! Let's get to the gym"- Osamu says grabbing your hand and leading you away
Suna is still glaring 😑
You simply turn to wave at Sachirō
Ginjima and Atsumu are ready to lay down
Even though this is all Atsumu's fault but whatevs
"Thank you for your help!"- you
Sachirō just smiles and waves
"Stay away from her"- Atsumu growls
"Yeah or you'll be sorry"- Ginjima
Suna is STILL glaring 😅
You walk back into the gym and Kita hugs you 🫂
The boys are all fired up now YN
Seriously their alpha protective bull crap put them on a whole new level
All I've got to say is Good Luck Karasuno 😅

Summary: reader is a little clingy after spencer comes home after a long and rough case
A/N: hi guys, gals, and non-binary pals! Here’s another thing i wrote. I wrote it based off this super cute gif I saw (i can’t find the tumblr link). I really hope you guys enjoy this piece! Thank you all so much for the love and support! I appreciate it and you! Check out my masterlist!
{***}{***}{***}
It’d been… two weeks since Spencer had been out of town for a case. I hated it because I never knew just how long he’d be gone for. Sometimes he’d be gone for 4 days, sometimes he’d be gone for 2 weeks. It was the worst. If I wasn’t such a clingy person, this wouldn’t be such a problem. But see… I love Spencer, he’s my person… And when he’s gone, I just feel super lost.
So thank God that the team returned to the BAU and he’d be home soon. I quickly finished tidying the apartment, and then sat on the couch, facing the door, as I waited for Spencer to step into our home.
I should say ‘tidy’ loosely. Our home was clean, but it was still a little messy. It was an organized mess. I mostly cleaned our room, I had let it become a mess while he was gone, like I typically do. Before I cleaned it, the bedding was thrown off the bed, the laundry piled up, and there were 1 too many empty glasses on the nightstand. It was just a refresh for me.
I didn’t keep busy while I waited. I could have been reading a book, or messing around on my phone. But no… I sat on the couch, keeping my eyes on the door. I also could have worn something nice. But A) He didn’t text me to say put something nice on and B) I was pretty comfortable wearing just his sweater and a pair of his boxers. I’m sure he’d enjoy it though.
My excitement had begun pooling between my thighs the longer I waited. He probably knew that too, he sensed it. He knew exactly what he was doing, which honestly made it worse. Although it was a bit of a drive from the apartment to the BAU. But that still wouldn’t stop him from taking his sweet time to return.
So when the door finally swung open and Spencer stepped in, I was quick by his side. My arms were thrown around his middle, and my face was pressed into his chest. Spencer laughed lightly as he placed one hand on my back and the other on the top of my head.
“Hello, My Sweet Girl. This is, uh, a nice welcome home,” he laughed lightly. The way his voice and laugh reverberated in his chest and into my ears made me incredibly happy. “Somebody missed me,” he included before pulling his hand off the top of my head. I smiled and nodded before nuzzling my head into his chest.
“You were gone for too long,” I whispered as I looked up at him. He looked back down at me, a soft smile on his lips. I returned the smile and nodded again. My heart swelled as the tension he held in his body melted away as he held me. Although, he still had some tension in his shoulders, which I hated. “Tough case, I take it,” I asked softly. Spencer’s smile turned sad before nodding.
“I don’t want to think about it, okay? I just want to sit with my sweet girl by my side,” he whispered as he brought his hand to rest on my face. I nodded again before going up on my toes.
“Come on then!” I exclaimed before pressing my lips to his. Spencer laughed as I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards the living room.
“I see you cleaned a little bit.” He looked around the living room. I followed his gaze and looked at the coffee table, my eyes looking at the several books I had left out. I quietly flopped on the couch and shrugged.
“Yeah, yeah I was a little bored while I waited for you…” I pierced my lips together as I stared at him. Spencer looked back at me with a warm smile as he sat on the couch. I moved closer to him, sitting so close to him that our legs were touching. His arms snaked around my waist before he pulled me even closer to him. A playful giggle fell from my lips as I moved to his lap. “I missed you,” I whispered as I wrapped my arms around his neck. Spencer looked at me with a smile before adjusting me so I was straddling his waist.
“I missed you too, Sweet Girl,” Spencer whispered as his hands rested on my lower back. I smiled as he carefully pushed my shirt up, gently brushing against my skin. “Were you a good girl while I was gone?”
“I’m always a good girl, and you know it,” I laughed before pressing my lips to his. Spencer hummed and planted his hands on my hips. His thumbs stayed tucked under my sweater and carefully brushed against my skin. It was so hard to keep my hips still.
"Sweetness," Spencer warned against my lips. I whined as I ground down on his thigh.
I stayed quiet as my fingers raked through his hair. My elbows rested on his shoulders. I just wanted him.
"Don't start something you can't finish," he spoke again this time looking right at me. I stared back at him, feeling my cheeks go ablaze.
"Please," I whispered softly. He smirked before pushing my hips down on his leg. Although, it was only a moment before he stood up, holding my legs up around his waist. I could only assume he was going towards our bedroom.
I laughed as Spencer tossed me gently onto the bed. My eyes were quick to find him as he knelt on the bed between my legs. I appreciated the way his lips pressed against my legs the closer he moved to me. My body craved his, just as he craved me. Two weeks was always too long.
“Up," he whispered as he dragged his fingers across my hips. I bit on my lower lip as I lifted my bottom and hips just enough. Spencer hooked his fingers around the waistband of the boxers and pulled them off my body.
"I've missed this… your body, your sounds, the way you react to anything I do…" Spencer grabbed my hand and brought it to his lips. I smiled as he pressed his lips to my fingertips. "But most importantly, I've missed you." His voice was so low as he spoke. I tried so hard to not smile. But it was so hard.
I failed so hard and smiled when he placed a hand on my cheek. Spencer lowered down to me and pressed his lips to mine. I was so intoxicated with his scent, I didn't realize he had sat up away from me. When I did, however, realize that he abandoned me on the bed, I let out a cry.
"Just a second." Spencer nearly fell over as he pulled his pants off. I held back my laughter as I sat up. I looked at him, noting that he was still wearing his briefs, and watched as he picked up his pants and folded them.
"But a second feels like forever after you've been gone for two weeks." I watched as he sat back down on the bed. He looked back at me, holding out one of his hands for me to take. I carefully placed my hand into his.
"You've already waited two weeks… what's 2 seconds going to do to you?" He asked as he raised an eyebrow. I smiled when he pulled me to him. "It's okay. Even two seconds is too long for me," He spoke as he rested his hands back on my hips as he pulled me closer to him. I looked up at his face, bringing my hands to cup his cheeks as I straddled his legs again. “I think all is right in the world now… Now that you’re here in my arms,” he whispered into my ear. His breath fanned over my skin, causing goosebumps to grow like wildfire.
Spencer gently pressed his lips to my neck, then up my jaw to my lips. A soft moan fell from my mouth as a smile grew across my lips. My hands moved through his hair, earning a groan from him.
I didn’t last long before I was starting to lose patience with him. Granted, I shouldn’t really complain. He was gone for two weeks, I’d take any sort of attention from him. And honestly, him just holding me the way he was was enough. Not to contradict myself… I wanted more. I needed more.
My hands fell away from his head and down his chest. I tried to be quick as I unbuttoned his shirt. A smile grew across his lips once my hand pressed against his bare chest.
“Please, Spencer,” I cried against his lips. He smiled again before deepening the kiss. My chest was pressed up to his. He held his hands on my back, holding me against him. I could tell he needed me as much as I needed him.
“You’re so needy, Sweet Girl,” Spencer murmured as he looked at me. I looked up at him through my eyelashes and pouted my lower lip. He smiled before pressing his lips to mine. It was just a moment before he gently nibbled on my lower lip. “But that’s why I love you.” He gently ran his hands up my top.
“Mhh?”
“You’re so clingy. It’s like you need me to survive. I bet you were so lost while I was gone.” He pressed his forehead to mine. I took a deep breath, breathing in his air.
I dropped my hands from his chest, going to the hem of his briefs. Spencer knew what I wanted, and all I had to do was ask. But I just really didn’t want to use my words. I didn’t want to ask.
“Maybe I should go away more often…” Spencer mused once my hand was in his briefs. I froze, my eyes widening once the reality of his words hit me. My hand wasn’t even wrapped around his length… It was just resting right above it. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest and I couldn’t tell if it was from arousal or annoyance, but it was probably both.
“You wouldn’t! You’re already gone so much!” I shouted back. As I went to remove my hand from his briefs, his hand went around my wrist, keeping it in place.
“Now, Sweet Girl, you know we don’t shout,” Spencer mumbled as he placed his pointer finger under my chin. He carefully tilted my chin so I was looking up at him. I tried to look anywhere but his face. “What do you want? You have to tell me what you want so I know what to give you.”
I took a deep breath before allowing my fingers to wrap around his length. The pressure in my fingers was soft, but it was enough to be noticed. A small smile grew across his lips as I slowly moved my hand back and forth. I stared at him, watching as he tried to keep composure but obviously failing.
“But you already know,” I whined. My eyebrows raised slightly the longer I stared at him. His face fell slightly as I picked up my pace.
As my heart continued to race, so did my pace. I knew he probably wanted me to stop, but I really didn’t want to. He hadn’t said anything to actually stop me. So I just kept going.
“Sweetness… If you’re going to want me to fuck you, then you better stop.” His voice was low and gruff. That was when I froze again, my eyes finding his face to meet his eyes. And that was what I wanted most. See, I said he knew what I wanted.
I pulled my hand from his briefs quicker than he could grab my wrist. Spencer laughed as I moved off him. The speed I was moving at was quick enough to give someone whiplash.
He slipped his briefs off and tossed them off the bed. I moved so I was lying back on the bed, thinking we would have sex the way we normally do. That’s not a weird thought, is it?
To answer my own question, no it was not a weird thought. Because once Spencer was back in his spot on the bed, his legs tucked under him and he pulled me back on his lap. I threw my arms around his neck and took a deep breath.
“What do you want?” Spencer asked, his hands resting on my hips. I looked at him as I tried to bite back my smile. Spencer returned the smile before his arms snaked around my body.
“I want you, Spencer, please…” I whimpered as he held me closer to his body. He smiled before harshly pressing his lips to mine. I was so lost in how his mouth moved with mine, that I didn’t notice how Spencer lifted up my body and lowered me back on his cock.
A whimper fell from my mouth once I was sitting totally on him. It felt impossible to breathe before, but now… It was more than impossible. My arms tightened and I tried to get closer to him. I was scared he was going to be whisked away soon, and I really didn’t want that.
“Don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere, Sweet Girl,” Spencer whispered as he held me close. His hips slowly started moving up towards me, causing me to cry out and bury my face into his shoulder. My hips started rocking and met his at just the right moments.
The way Spencer’s arms held me made me feel safe, and it was where I belonged. Every so often he would give me a small squeeze or pull me closer to him. It was everything I wanted over the last few weeks. Not just the sex. It was the intimacy, love, attention, and Spencer that I wanted… It was hard to not get overwhelmed by everything.
“Spencer,” I cried out as one of my arms fell from his neck. I placed my hand on his knee to brace myself up right. With my other hand, I pulled Spencer’s head closer to mine so I could press my lips to his.
At this point, my silence was no longer in existence. And to be fair, neither was Spencer’s. This was what it was like whenever we reunited, though. Personal space did not exist once we were together. We really, truly became one. No one in the world could break us apart. To be honest, not even Emily Prentiss could do it. She’s only ever tried once, and failed miserably.
I could feel my body getting hot. My hands moved around him, trying to hold him as close as possible the closer I got to the end. Spencer loved it too, which in turn made me love it.
Spencer brought a hand around to where our bodies met, and carefully pressed a finger to the sensitive bundle of nerves. I took a sharp breath of air and dropped my head to his shoulder. My hips picked up their pace. And as I grew closer to the edge, Spencer kept whispering soft encouragements in my ear.
“You’re doing such a great job, My Sweet Girl. You feel so good, and you’re all mine.”
The whimper that came from me was pitiful. Everything he was saying to me was actually overwhelming, and it was so hard to focus.
It felt like riding a roller coaster. The first thrilling incline and decline had happened, followed by other exciting twists and turns. Sure it had it’s pretend highs and drops, but it was still exciting to say the least. The end was in sight. The final exhilarating drop came, and I was out of breath as if I was actually riding a roller coaster.
My body stayed attached to Spencer, my arms and legs were wrapped around his body and my head rested on his chest. I clung to him like a sloth on a tree. It felt hard to regulate my breathing as I tried to calm down. Spencer could sense my struggle as my arm muscles shook around him. He carefully wrapped his arms around me and held me close to him.
“I have to get water, and maybe a snack for us, okay?” Spencer asked as he brushed down my hair. I bit my lips together and shook my head.
“Can we just… Just stay like this for a minute longer? Please?” I whispered before moving to look up at him. Spencer looked back down at me, a worried crease in his brow.
“Of course. It’s okay,” he whispered before holding me closer to him. His hand cradled the back of my head. I swallowed roughly before pressing my head back to his shoulder. “Are you alright?”
“Yeah, yeah… I just missed you, that’s all.”
“I see. Well, don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere for a while. I’ll ask Prentiss for desk duty for the next case,” he returned as his hand rested on my back. I took a shaky breath and nodded.
It felt like he was gone for a lot longer than 2 weeks. Mostly because he was. He came home for a day or two before having to leave again. It was more like a month that he was gone. And this was exactly what I needed from him.
“I’d be okay with that,” I whispered before pulling my head away from him. Spencer looked down at me with a sad smile on his lips. He carefully lifted a hand and rested it on my cheek, his thumb carefully brushing the tears off my cheeks.
“Next time when it’s back-to-back cases, I’ll stay home for the second one. I’m sorry I was gone for so long.” He pressed his lips to my forehead. I swallowed roughly and nodded.
“It’s okay… I understand that your job is… intense.” I shrugged. Spencer smiled again before kissing me gently.
“Can I go get that water now?”
“I guess… If you have to…” I sighed deeply before looking away. Spencer guided my face to look back at him. A small smile grew across my lips as I looked at him. “Love you.”
“I love you too, My Sweet Girl.” Spencer smiled before pressing his lips to mine. “Okay, you stay here. I’ll be right back with water and a snack.” He looked at me before nodding towards the bed. With a deep sigh, I moved off his lap and laid on my side of the bed.
“Be quick,” I mumbled as I watched him pull his briefs back on. Spencer smiled before coming over to my side.
“Since you asked so nicely,” he laughed lightly before pressing his lips to mine again. He looked down at me before leaving the room.
I hated the emptiness I felt once Spencer was away from me. There’s lots of meanings behind that. I really shouldn’t have to clarify why though.
Spencer came back moments later, with exactly what he said he was getting.
“You’re the best… You know that?” I looked at him as he handed me a small water bottle and granola bar. Spencer smiled before climbing into bed beside me. When I decided that he still wasn’t close enough to me, I moved closer to him and rested my head on his shoulder.
“You know I’d do pretty much about anything for you,” he laughed as he cracked open the bottle for me. I returned the laughter and nodded.
“That’s true.” I nodded before taking a sip of my water.
We ate our snacks in silence, mostly because we were both exhausted. We did have our moments of conversation, but for the most part we were quiet.
When I did eventually finish eating and drinking, I slipped under the covers and rolled so I was facing Spencer. A small smile grew across his lips as he looked down at me, and that made me smile. My body shifted closer to him as he slipped under the blankets himself. I smiled when he wrapped his arms around my body.
"I missed you, My Sweet Girl," he whispered before pressing his lips to my forehead. I smiled and looked up at his eyes. The affectionate expression he wore made me want to melt into him more. "Get some rest. I’ll be here when you wake up.”
“Promise?”
“Promise.”

MASTERLIST
-----
Making your way into the family room you nibbled on your lips reminiscing the kiss that you and Steve shared in the kitchen last night, he may not have had much experience in that field but damn, was he a good kisser
"Good morning sleeping beauty" Thor chucked a pillow at your face and it hit you, your reflexes slow as you were still trapped in your thoughts
"Good morning humans" launching the pillow back at him you padded over to the kitchen where Steve was helping himself to the stack of pancakes and bacon that Tony was making for breakfast
"You're in a better mood" Steve smirked at you over his glass of orange juice knowing why you were in high spirits
"Is that a bad thing?" fixing yourself a plate you leaned across the kitchen island to reach the bottle of syrup giving Steve a clear view of your clevage, he choked on his juice not expecting that
"You alright Rogers?" smirking you pulled the stool out next to him and sat down two can play this game Rogers. Steve nudged your knee with his knowing that you were up to no good
"Y/N you and Thor have any plans that doesn't involve us for today?" Natasha asked making her presence known, popping a strawberry into her mouth
"Not to my knowing"
The Russian internally smiled as Steve's jaw clenched when she mentioned Thor, her and the rest of the team knew that he liked the younger Stark including Tony
Of course Tony knew Cap has had a thing for his sister, he's seen the way he looks at her, pining after her and a part of him knew that you had the same feelings for the frozen popsicle despite how Tony personally felt towards the man he wasn't going to get in the middle of you two if you both actually got together
"Actually Y/N I was going to go into one of those flimsy looking boats and paddle on the lake would you care to join me?" the Asgardian asked from his seat on the sofa and you couldn't resist a kayacking experience with the God who has no idea of how it works
"Gladly"
Steve cleared his throat as he continued to eat his food in silence. You didn't have to look at him to know that he was upset. Steve beat himself up as he continued to stuff his face, he thought that after he had kissed you last night that he would have gotten to talk to you about it today but you were running off to be with Thor again
"Thanks for the breakfast Tony" Steve finished his meal and went over to the sink, he washed his dirty dishes before disappearing out the door
Sam and Bucky were in the middle of hand to hand combat, at least Steve hoped they were training instaed of actually fighting, he couldn't handle their crap today
Bucky had Sam pinned in a chokehold on the lawn and he immediately released the man noticing Steve's mood as he came closer to the pair
Great what is it now?
"Why are women so difficult?" the two looked at each other not following this conversation, sitting up on the grass they looked at their friend as he sat on the lounge chair
"I kiss her and she's still going after him"
"Back up, you kissed who?"
"Y/N but she's clearly doesn't see me that way"
There was a deafening silence as the three of them sat there under the tree, the two were processing this information, shocked with what Steve said
"When?"
"Last night, I thought that would show her that I like her but either she knows and doesn't care or she's blind" the blonde dragged his hands over his face
"Okay what's the problem exactly?"
Sam was proud that Steve had manned up and made a move but he still didn't understand why the soilder was still moping around when he should be inside there with Y/N
Before Steve could open his mouth the door opened and Thor walked out, Y/N slung over his shoulder, Natasha, Bruce and Tony followed them heading for the kayaks on the water bank
"Nevermind, I see" the five of them pushed their boats into the water before getting on, Y/N giggled while explaining to Thor what he needs to do in order to move forward
"What happened after the kiss, did she say anything?" he shook his head no
"Did you?" again, no
"Steve don't tell me you kissed her and left without a single word" Bucky rolled his eyes at his idiotic friend, sometimes it pained him to know that his best friend was a hopeless case when it came to getting with a woman
"Have I thought you nothing in the forties? You don't do that, ever"
"I had too, Clint came in before either of us could say anything"
"You better find some way to get her alone and talk about it before Goldilocks claims her"
Wanda, Vision and Clint joined the men in the shade, putting a pin in their conversation. Steve knew that he had to sort whatever feelings you both had for one another out before he drove himself insane
Never in his life he had been so keen on a woman other than Peggy, he thought that he had missed his chance of happiness until he met you. He was smitten with you from the first conversation he had with you
"Dad's serum did quiet the job" Y/N Stark whistled lowly as she stood in the doorway of the gym. Steve's icy blue eyes looked over the strange woman, breathing erratic from his workout
"Forgive me Captain I forgot my manners, I'm Y/N Stark, Tony's sister" he didn't know Tony had a sister, looks like the Howard he knew had changed drastically after his 'death'
"You can call me Steve"
Y/N smiled at the super soldier before making her way over to the treadmill to start her workout. Steve's eyes followed her every move, part of him felt drawn to you for some reason
She's a beautiful dame, he thought but he couldn't attempt to make a move to speak to her so they both kept to themselves while they got their training in, both sneaking glances at one another the whole time
He wanted to get to know her better
"Thor do NOT tip me over!" for the past half hour that we were out on the lake Thor and Tony had made a bet to see who could successfully tip the rest of us over
"Boo!"
There was a splash and cheering coming from the group in the water pulling Steve out of his head. A kayak was flipped over and the unlucky person happened to be Y/N
The other's broke out into a fit of laughter as she resurfaced, in the blink of an eye Tony was also flipped into the water both Starks now struggling to get back into their kayaks
"I'm done" after struggling to get back on, you're ready to head back to the cabin to get out of your wet clothes
As you paddled back to the bank you could feel Steve's intense gaze on you, you always knew when he was staring at you. Getting out you pulled the kayak onto the grass and dropped the paddle before heading inside
Sam tilted his head motioning for Steve to take his chance and he didn't waste any time in trailing after you
Here goes nothing
You tried your best not to leave puddles of water on the floor as you headed straight to your room to change. In your haste you hadn't noticed that Steve was behind you so when you pushed the door in to close it you were confused as to why it hadn't shut
"Y/N" startled you turned to face the soilder who stood by the door
"Steve don't do that, you scar-" backing you up against the wall Steve kissed you and you immediately responded to him. His calloused hands held onto your hips while you ran yours up his arms
Steve put all his pent emotions into this, you could tell just by the way he's holding you in his arms. You both longed for this for so long unknowing to one another
Sighing against your lips Steve let his hands roam your body as you both clung to each other, he was going to show you just how much he wanted you
He has you in his arms and he has no plans on letting you go again

(not my gif!)
You awoke to Dakota gently shaking you to rouse you from your sleep.
“Babe, we’re close to the location. It’s time to get up ok,” he informed you. You groaned sleepily and he chuckled while smoothing your messy hair. “How close?” you asked.
“About ten minutes.” he kissed your forehead and chuckled when you rolled away from him. “Alright, alright I’m up.” you declared as you reluctantly stood up and stretched. He walked towards you and wrapped his arms around you. You leaned into his embrace and he placed his cheek atop your head. He let go and went to sit with the others as you headed to the bathroom to fix your hair and try not to look like you just woke up from a 30-year coma.
You walked out and smiled at them all, “Hey guys, are you excited?” you asked.
“Well, that’s definitely not the word I would use for it. I’m more freaked out than excited.” Tanner answered your question. “I’m fucking terrified, you and I haven’t been there before. Dude I’m freaking out.” Alex spoke up and you nodded your head vigorously. They all chuckled at your reactions. “Yeah, I know I said you could handle yourselves but damn, I am still worried,” you admitted to them. “We’ll be alright babe,” Dakota reassured and put his arm across the back of the seat and this time you leaned into him. You reached over your shoulder and interlocked your fingers with his, and he smiled down at you. Chelsea noticed this and smiled softly at her little brother.
--
Everything was silent as you came upon the building you’d be staying in for the night, you could see the look of anger and annoyance on Chelsea’s face as she shook her head.
You exited the RV with all of your gear, and you stood next to Chelsea giving her hand a squeeze to let her know you were there for her. She looked at you with a grateful smile and you nudged her shoulder playfully.
You walked up the steps and into the old building letting out a heavy sigh as you assessed your surroundings. You all set up your gear room quickly, wanting to get started with the night as quickly as possible. Though you dreaded the hours ahead of you, you couldn’t help your idiotic curiosity.
“Now we’re about to walk through St. Albans Sanatorium for the second time in our lives.” your boyfriend announced to the audience. You and Alex gave each other a look as if silently communicating how crazy Dakota was for doing this.
“Should we get started?” you asked “I’ll leave it up to Chelsea,” Dakota gave his sister the decision.
You turn towards Chels, ready to hear her answer. “Where do you want to start?” He asked. She contemplated for a few seconds before deciding to go upstairs. “Let’s go upstairs,” you all agreed. “Let’s go up, then work our way down.” your boyfriend said. “Alright, here we go.” you huffed.
You all slowly made your way up the stairs with you falling to the back of the group. Letting your eyes try and adjust to the dark, and the small screen showing your surroundings. You stepped up the last step and up onto the second floor and continued down the hallway with your small flashlights illuminating small portions of it. Alex noticed you weren’t in front of him and stopped. You didn’t notice him stop and ran into him and jumped. “Shit!” you yelped and it caused everyone to let out shouts. They all turned towards you with wide eyes Dakota making his way towards you.” Are you ok? What happened?” he shot out questions. Your eyes were wide but suddenly you let out a laugh. When you realized you had just run into Alex, your laughter made everyone look at you in confusion. “What are you laughing about?” Tanner asked while letting out a heavy sigh. “I just ran into Alex that’s all. I didn’t see that he had stopped. I’m sorry everyone.” you let out small giggles as you apologized. They all looked at you and sighed in relief. “You scared the crap out of me,” Chelsea spoke up. “I’m sorry Chels.” you gave a shy shrug. “Why did you stop Al?” you asked. “I didn’t see you in front of me and got worried,” he admitted. “Aw, well I’m ok. Just fell to the back of the pack that’s all,” you said and nudged him with your shoulder. “Ok, that’s not happening come up here,” Tanner said and grabbed your wrist to gently pull you in front of him and Alex.
Chelsea reached out to grab your hand and keep you next to her.
You all stopped in the middle of the second floor with Dakota asking if anyone was up there. Everything was quiet and then a loud clatter happened from above you, all of you jumped and you squeezed Chelsea’s hand.
“That was up there,” Tanner spoke. “That was up on the third floor.” your boyfriend jumped in.
Tanner began to walk up the stairs but quickly came back down. “Dude, there was another step.” he spit out. “What seriously?” you questioned while backing up a bit. He nodded his head, and you shook your head. “No way in hell, am I going up there,” you announced.
Tanner stepped forward once again to go up the stairs. You always did wonder how he could do that. “How do you have the courage to do this right now?” Dakota asked in disbelief, pretty much stating your thoughts.
Dakota looked at you all before following Tanner up the stairs. “These boys are gonna be the death of us I swear Chelsea. Your brother is crazy,” you stated quietly. “Tell me about it, you’re the one who is dating him,” she said. “Touche,” you replied.
When you reached the third floor you pulled your jacket tighter around you and spoke up. “It’s so much colder up here.”
“Isn’t heat suppose to rise?” Your boyfriend concluded your thought.
“Yeah,” Tanner responded. “This is weird,” Dakota said.
Then out of nowhere another loud noise was heard. You jumped and grabbed Dakota’s arm.
“Whoa, whoa what the hell was that!?” you exclaimed. “What? What is it?” Chelsea questioned hurriedly.
Tanner moved backward and away from the door.
“That was behind you. That was right behind you!” Dakota called out.  You buried your face in your boyfriend’s arm. “No way. No way. No way. I am not going up there, Kota.” he turned toward you and pulled you into a hug while kissing your head. “I’ll be right there babe, I won’t let anything hurt you ok?” you look up at him and can see the sincerity in his eyes though the light is barely enough to make anything out. You nodded your head, “Ok…” you agree.
He reached down to give your hand a squeeze before turning back to face the doorway. Another creak sounded and made you all jump.
“Is there someone up there?” Chelsea wondered aloud.
So Dakota asked the question. "Is there somebody up here?”
“Honest to God. Is there someone up here?” He questioned once again.
Tanner called out. “Hey! Quiet!”  you all waited with bated breath for a few seconds before Dakota decided to continue.
“Just beware you guys. This is, like, one of the more haunted floors, too,” he explained and walked behind Tanner who was now leading the group. Chelsea walked a bit ahead of you and you stayed back with Alex. “Hey Al, you doing ok?” you asked your best friend.
He turned his camera down to look at you. “I’m doing ok. Not exactly having fun, but what’s new, ya know?” he answered you. You chuckled and agreed with a nod. “I totally understand. I just hope this isn’t our ‘last stop’.” you joked lightly trying to get a smile out of him. “Oh, wow that really helped ease my conscience (y/n).” he tossed back at you.
You looked ahead of you. “Oh, shit we’re being left behind,” you said and jogged ahead with Alex behind you. You heard from down the hallway.
“Oh, my god, it’s the suicide bathroom!” you hear Tanner exclaim. You get to where they are and look in disbelief at the room where people decided to end their lives. It made you so sad, knowing that people went there because they didn’t want to live anymore. (if any of you feel this way, please talk to someone. Don’t hold it in let someone help you, don’t be scared or ashamed to ask for help it’s a really brave thing to do. I’m here for you if you ever just want to talk. I love you all)
“That’s where it’s coming from,” Tanner explained. “So, what just happened?” Your boyfriend asked. You came in and stood by Chelsea.
“Well, to be honest, it actually sounded like there was an actual person walking around here,” he explained to everyone what he thought it was. “That’s what it sounded like to me too,” you stated. “But there’s no one here,” he said.
“That’s weird,” Dakota said. “Yeah, it really is.” you agreed.
Chelsea sat on the chair outside of the bathroom while Dakota headed in to check it out.
You stood outside by her. “Chels, this place…” you trailed off. “I can’t explain it. It’s just, it’s so sad Chelsea.” you expressed to her. You felt tears come to your eyes. She reached for your hand and held it comfortingly. “I know, it’s so sad up here.” she agreed with you.
You looked around with your camera and showed the old walls encasing the intense energy from the spirits that still lingered there.
You heard your boyfriend speak from inside the bathroom. “Woah. my ear is just ringing,”  he said. “Really?” Tanner asked. You furrowed your brows.
“Dakota, are you ok?” you questioned with worry in your voice.
“Oh,” Dakota’s jaw cracked.
“Ooh, I just heard your jaw crack,” Tanner said
“That was weird.” your boyfriend said.
You moved from your position and walked toward the bathroom. You politely asked Tanner if you could get by and moved forward to your boyfriend’s side. “Babe, are you ok?” you asked while placing your hand on his shoulder and rubbing up and down his arm in a comforting manner.  “Yeah, I’m ok it’s just weird that’s all,” he said.
Tanner moved away from the doorway, and you turned your flashlight on. You reached your hand up and placed it on Dakotas cheek, gently running your thumb over his jaw. “You sure babe, do you need a break?” you asked affection and worry blatant in your tone.
“No, no I’ll be ok,” he reassured you and kissed your head. “You better be telling the truth, Dakota Laden,” you warned him. “I am, I’ll be ok I promise,” he said and you leaned up to kiss his jaw before nodding and turning to exit the small bathroom.
You walked out and joined the rest of the group. You all decided that it was a good time to take a seat and see if you could communicate with anything/anyone.
“Alright. So right now. We are sitting on the ground right next to the suicide bathroom, Which is behind Tanner and (y/n).”  Dakota said. You looked around the room hoping to make something out in the dark.
“Rebecca, are you here?” He spoke up once again. You were just thinking in your head about how hard her situation was. Once again tears came to your eyes, and your chest began to feel heavy.
You tried to calm your breathing before speaking. “Rebecca, if you’re here, I want to tell you how sorry I am that you went through all of the things you did.” you let out with a shaky breath. You could feel Tanner’s eyes shift over to you. The room was silent. “(y/n), are you ok?” he asked and placed a hand on your back. You jumped at his touch but sighed in relief when you realized it was just him. You cleared your throat. “Um, yeah… I just, it’s so sad up here. I can’t even imagine how she felt.” you relayed your thoughts for the group. “I know, it’s so heavy in here. I can’t begin to even try to understand all of this.” Chelsea spoke. You wiped your tears and tried to calm yourself down. Silence ran rampant in the room, all of you sitting and hoping for a response.
After a while, Dakota spoke up.
“It’s weird though, like,  we came up here, we heard a bunch of noises just at the top of the stairs right there. and we get to the bathroom here and it’s just silent.” you nod though he can’t see you.
“I don’t know what that means.” he finished.
You sat for a few more seconds before you all decided it was time to move on. Tanner got up first and held out his hand to help you up. You gladly took it and thanked him.
The flashlights were turned on again to head downstairs. Tanner looked down at you with a careful look in his eyes. You could feel his protectiveness canvassing the area as he stood by you. “Are you ok (y/n)? I know it was especially hard for you up there,” he asked with a protective hand resting on your shoulder. “I think so. I don’t know why it hit me so hard, it just all of a sudden came crashing down on me,” you answered genuinely. He wrapped his arm around you in a side hug. “I’m not sure either, but it will be ok,” he reassured you and you hugged him back before following the others down the stairs.
“Well, let’s take the staircase down to the electroshock therapy room,” Dakota instructed before heading down the stairs first, Chelsea went next, and Tanner followed her. After them, you headed down as well which left Alex to the back of the pack. When you got down the stairs you turned around to check on him and make sure he was doing ok seeing as neither of you had been there before. “You ok?” you checked on him. “Yeah, I’m doing ok. How are you doing? It was pretty rough for you up there.” “I’m ok now, it was just so heavy up there it was hard to think about all that had happened in that room.” he nodded. “Yeah, I agree.”
“I still can’t believe we agree to this shit.” He said quietly to you, and you chuckled softly. “I know, we really need to set some boundaries.” you joked. “I don’t understand us,” he said while shaking his head. “Neither do I Al, neither do I.” You trailed off with a smile on your face and a shake of your head.
“Oh gosh, it’s heavier down here,” Dakota stated as you all hit the bottom of the staircase. “This is the electroshock therapy room. I remember this place.” you all wandered into the room where you ended up next to Dakota. “Oh, the hospital bed,” he said and you turn your camera to show the bed. It gave you chills knowing how many people were hurt and tortured down there.
“People had to endure this…” you breathed out. “It’s torture.” Dakota turned to look at you silently assessing your state, wanting to make sure you were doing ok.
He nudged your arm and began to walk around the bed to make room for everybody else. You followed suit and once again stood by his side feeling the safest next to him.
You decided to be the one to ask.
“Is there anyone down here with us?” the question left your lips and hung in the air. You once again got no responses and decided to move forward with the investigation.
Dakota made sure to keep you closer to him than he had been, seeing as he was getting a bad feeling as you went further into the building.
He held his camera with one hand and juggled his flashlight in the other while trying to grab your hand as well as hold the light. It almost made a smile break out on your face as he desperately tried to make it work. Instead, you decided to hold onto his wrist so he could keep the light in his hand. He looked down at you and smiled. “I think that’s a solution that will suffice,” you said and let your thumb gently rest over where you could feel his steady pulse beneath his skin.
You continued on your way.
“Alright. So the subbasement is where the demonic spirit named Red is.” Dakota pointed out as you furthered your descent.
“Oh no, I don’t like this. I don’t like this.” Your boyfriend expressed. “I don’t either it feels intimidating down here. I can see part of the reason people don’t come down here.” you clarified your weariness.
“This is the notorious boiler room,” Dakota said as you all entered the dark room.
“Is there anybody down here?” he asked as you all settled into your positions. Your head rested on Dakota’s shoulder. “Do you not want us down here?” he asked another question. Still, the silence was all you received. “Can you touch one of us?” he questioned. Your eyes widened at his inquiry. “Dakota please be careful,” you whispered to him. “Nothing has happened everything is just fine babe.” he tried to soothe you. You rolled your eyes and let out a sigh. “Just please be careful,” you advised once again. “I will be.” he kissed the top of your head.
Exiting the room you all continued down the hallway with your flashlights pointed ahead of you.
This time it was you in the lead, you had no idea where you were going but Dakota had his hand resting on the small of your back ushering you forward.
He then walked ahead of you with his camera up. “This is the infamous bowling alley.” he described.
You walked further into the room and a feeling of being watched immediately washed over you and so you slightly hid behind your boyfriend in an attempt to comfort yourself.
Without warning an unexplainable voice was sounded through the quiet room. Your eyes widened as you got closer to your boyfriend.
“Woah did you hear that?” Tanner inquired in either curiosity or fear, you couldn’t tell.
You looked up at Dakota just to see him donning a look of discomfort. “Dude my ear is ringing again,” he stated and you moved to face him. You put your flashlight in a pocket and reached up to place a hand on his face. “Are you ok Kota?” you asked with anxious eyes.
“Dude, that was a little voice. Guys did you not hear that voice?” Tanner asked while turning to look at you guys. “Oh, are you ok?” he worriedly wondered. “My ear is just ringing.” Tanner took long strides toward you Chels and Kota. “The second you heard that my ear started ringing again this time it’s my right ear,” Dakota stated. You looked up at him with unease. “Babe, maybe we should get you out of here for a while. Get you some fresh air,” you suggested soothingly. Before he could respond to your suggestion Tanner speaks up. “Dude, what?” he asked in disbelief.
He made a noise of discomfort and you looked to Chelsea who had the same amount of worry in her eyes. “Are you…” Tanner was cut off by Dakota speaking up. “I’m ok.” he tried to set everybody at ease. “Ok.” Tanner wearily stated.
“I’m ok. I don’t know what’s going on.” still your suggestion was swept under the rug.
He took a step away from you. “I just feel like whatever’s down here is just waiting. It knows we’re gonna be here for a long time.” Dakota let the words slip from his mouth. His words gave you chills. It made you think about how true it was, and what it would do to you if you came down here alone to sleep.
Having enough of the bowling alley you all made your way back upstairs until Tanner brought everything to a halt.
“hold on a second. Stop.” he pauses on the way up. “What, what is it?” you ask eagerly.
“Yo, Al come over here.” Alex walks up next to Tanner behind Dakota.
“Dude,” Alex said in shock. You looked at him with scared eyes and tried to get a look at what they were seeing. “What?”  Dakota asked anxiously.
“There’s a handprint,” Tanner explained what he was seeing on Dakota’s jacket. You looked at it and your heart sped up, your worries for his and their safety were beginning to amplify.
“There’s a handprint on your back babe,” you answer in shock and awe of what you were seeing.
“What does it look like?” Dakota asked. You came to stand in front of him again.
“Dude, it’s a thumb, finger, finger, finger, pinkie.” both Tanner and Alex describe to him.
Dakota tried to look back to maybe get a glimpse of the marking.
“Are you serious?” he questions startled. “Swear to God, dude,” Tanner assures.
“I mean, put your arm down.” Dakota lowers his arm to his side. “Yeah like that. That looks like if I went like this.” he raised his hand. “Here. I’m just gonna put it over. It’s gonna ruin the mark, but we got the mark.” he moved his hand forward and placed it on his back. “It looks like this,” Tanner told everyone while demonstrating.
“I mean, it’s even bigger than my hand.” you tried to swallow your fear as you reached for his hand. He held it tightly in his own. “What?” he questioned. “I did just say “Can you touch one of us?” “ you let go of his hand and turned away. “I knew you should’ve been more careful,” you mumbled to yourself.
Your head snapped back up as his voice rose. “Woah! Woah! My battery is about to die.” he showed it to the camera that Tanner held. Chelsea saw the distress written on your features and walked over to you as the boys continued to freak out.
She wrapped her arm around your shoulder and you leaned into her for comfort.
“We haven’t had a camera die all night,” she said. “I know…” you trailed off before escaping her grip. They all looked to you with worried eyes as you stood in eerie silence.
After everything, Dakota decided it was best to take a break. You couldn’t agree more.

I honestly agree with a lot of your opinions, and even when I don't, I think that your arguments are always well structure and respectful to other people.
But I have some questions (and I'm sorry if you have already answer them), (also sorry for some of my English, it's not my first language)
How do you feel about narusaku?
How do you feel about people changing certain aspects about Sakura to try to improve her character?
How would you improve Sakura?
How much do you think Sakura being a good character could affect the story?
What was the moment you really started to ship SNS? And what are you favorite moments?
(Sorry if there's ro many questions)
I honestly agree with a lot of your opinions, and even when I don't, I think that your arguments are always well structure and respectful to other people.
Aww!!!! Thank you, Anon. This made my day. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I will start from my favourite question (The one in the last)
What was the moment you really started to ship SNS?
I never wore any shipping lens, Anon.
Literally, I started to ship SNS only after Episode 478 or Chapter 698. Before that, I always had these doubts in the back of my mind.
'Something seems to be very weird between these guys',
'Why are they behaving differently compared to other friends?',
'Why Sasuke is behaving totally different towards Naruto?',
'Why Sasuke agreed to honour Naruto's promise under the bridge, despite having no shred of affection towards his other former Team Members?',
'Why Naruto is so obsessed with Sasuke?',
'Why Sasuke felt Naruto's chakra in Konoha and bothered by it?',
'Why Sasuke is protecting Naruto like a precious treasure only to end up wanting to kill him?',
'Why Sasuke has this weird obsession that ONLY I CAN KILL NARUTO but not someone else?',
So, I had all these questions piling up one by one inside my mind as the series progressed and I can't simply jump into a conclusion because I don't know what Sasuke was thinking. I hate one-sided ship and I want reciprocation. So, I usually put all these questions on the back burner and started to focus on the story. Damn!!!, The story was equally captivating and emotionally daunting. When Sasuke finally confessed his feelings towards Naruto in Episode 478, I simply couldn't believe myself but ship them. Because, in no world, Friends would behave this way towards each other.
So, to answer your question, it's after Episode 478, I started to ship them. But if you want me to say when exactly I started to doubt their level of friendship??
It's this moment,
Tumblr media
Now you may think, 'Yeah, you saw two boys in a close proximity and decided to ship together. It's nothing strange'.
I have to say, Close proximity was the last thing, I felt from this scene. My reason was those heart breaking scenes that happened before which led to this specific moment.
I will make it as short as possible. I'll start with this
Tumblr media
God!! I wanted to punch Sasuke so badly when he said this with a deadpan expression. It looks like he was lying just to get power. I thought, 'Sasuke!!! What a lying piece of crap you are!! If you want to kill Naruto, Just do it. Why doing a fake confession? '.
It doesn't help as the fight progressed because Sasuke was really playing football with Naruto and when this happened,
Tumblr media
I was shell-shocked because, the Sasuke we saw so far is no more. It even confirmed my thoughts about the fake confession. Which sane person will ram Chidori through his Close Friend's body?.
After many blows were exchanged, I simply wished for one thing. Naruto should win and Sasuke should be stopped no matter what. When the final Rasengan vs Chidori happened, I couldn't understand what was going on inside that power ball. Naruto and Sasuke look at each other with pained expression and we see the younger version of them smiling at each other.
And then finally we see a knocked out Naruto with Sasuke standing and looking at him without any expression and was about to say, 'Naruto.... I' which was interrupted by rain and when Sasuke felt a stinging pain in his arms and falls down on his knees. He coughs up blood and then this iconic scene happens.
That scene conveyed many things
Sasuke wanted to kill Naruto but couldn't.
Sasuke meant what he said. Naruto is his closest friend, it’s not a lie.
Sasuke couldn't severe his ties completely with Naruto.
Sasuke's pain of saying 'Goodbye' is greater than the stinging pain in his arms.
Sasuke deliberately, I repeat deliberately and not accidentally, came close to look at Naruto's face and experiencing something that, we, audience don't know.
So, you see, Anon. The emotional train wreck that led to this scene made me really doubt about their depth of feelings they had towards each other for the first time. That's when I thought, 'Something seems to be very weird between these guys, what is it?'
And what are you favorite (SNS) moments?
There are two moments which shows how Sasuke is playing an emotional battle within himself.
1. Sasuke, Susanoo, Naruto, Minato
Tumblr media
This happens right after Sasuke said to Obito, “Not you.... The one who is going to sever the past is....me”.
In this moment, Sasuke can pretty much let Naruto to die, because nobody is trying to kill Naruto. Still, he saved him with a 3 layered protection. The best part is Sasuke acted quicker than Minato, the fastest shinobi, to protect Naruto. Surely Minato wouldn’t want to blow up near his Son, for whom he gave his life once. It’s just that Sasuke is extremely quicker at this moment.
2. For some reason, My Sharingan deactivated on it’s own
Tumblr media
If only, Sasuke maintained his Sharingan, he could’ve traced Naruto’s movements and deflected his upper cut and would’ve successfully landed his Chidori through him. But he just couldn’t.
Both these scenes happens in a span of a day but Sasuke’s emotions fluctuates a lot when it comes to killing Naruto, protecting Naruto, can’t kill Naruto.
How much do you think Sakura being a good character could affect the story?
To be Honest Anon, Storywise ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Yes, I agree with her amazing performance in Gaara retrieval Arc where she tagged along with Granny Chiyo and almost killed Sasori.
After that ????
She did nothing in the Sasuke Reunion Arc. It was all about Naruto vs Orochimaru, Yamato’s Wood style jutsu, Sai’s betrayal towards Orochimaru. Geez!!! I liked her attitude in this arc but totally spoiled when she was standing simply like a wooden doll when Sasuke was about to stab Naruto. It was Sai who blocked Sasuke.... I was like, ‘Girl!!!! You said you will save Sasuke for Naruto when he went into 4 tails mode. What happened now??? Why are you not stopping him???’
She was just making Food Pills in the Rasen Shuriken Arc.
She was basically climbing from one tree to another in the Sasuke killing Orochimaru to Sasuke joining Akatsuki Arc. Even Naruto’s role was very minimal in that arc except he met Kabuto, Dead soul of Jiraiya, Itachi, a split second meeting with Sasuke where he got Chidori’ed and fought with Tobi.
She was just a spectator praying for Naruto in the Pain Arc. Yeah, she did healed few people and punched some monsters. But it just doesn’t matter. Even Konohamaru killed a Pain in that arc.
She turned into an Asshole by making a fake confession towards Naruto and decided to kill Sasuke in the Kage Summit Arc. I think, this is where Kishi decided to shit on her mercilessly by making her into someone who was going to hurt both of her team mates mentally and physically. Basically Kishi transformed a clever medical Ninja who can find an antidote in a matter of hours to an asshole who believed Naruto did everything for her and even more of an idiot by planning to kill Sasuke with just a poisoned Kunai. Isn’t she the one who told Kakashi that Sasuke was given forbidden drugs to improve his strength after their Reunion??? Can’t she put 2+2 together to know Sasuke would be immune to poisons because of his days spent with Orochimaru??? Yeah, she did impacted the story. But it was not for her development. Sakura’s foolishness made Naruto and Sasuke to meet each other again and made a promise. So, you see, she was just a tool that pushes the narrative development of other characters, not her own. Her development took a big blow in this arc.
She was non-existent in the Naruto-Killer Bee Training Arc.
She was just healing people and punched some zetsu during Powerful Edo-Tensei Shinobis vs Allied Shinobi forces Arc. I expected her to have a special fight. But Nope. Even Ino, Shikamaru and Choji fought Asuma, Kakuzu and Kinkaku, Ginkaku brothers.
She was non-existent in the Uchiha Madara vs 5 Kages mini arc
She was non-existent in Obito vs Naruto, Kakashi, Might Guy and Killer Bee mini arc.
She was non-existent in the Sasuke & Itachi vs Kabuto mini arc.
She was non-existent in the Edo Tensei’ed Hokages and Team Sasuke arc.
She was punching some Juubi Clones in the Official War Arc which will never make a difference to the story. At the same time, her character was transformed from an Asshole who hurted her teammates to an horny biasshhhh who wants only Sasuke’s D. She summoned Katsuyu and was healing soldiers. But there were an army of Medical Ninjas too. So her absence will not affect the story in a big way. She did Lip to Lip CPR for Naruto though. Again, that would never help Naruto in a major way unless he was helped by Obito by placing Bijuu inside him. Again, Kishi didn’t make her the sole saviour here. Instead, she was used as a medium to facilitate Obito’s transformation from a bad guy to good guy. Kishi made Obito as the Saviour here.
She was useless and was not able to destroy Obito’s rinnegan in the Reincarnation of Indra and Ashura vs Rikkudou Sennin Madara arc.
She was useless in the Kaguya arc. [Sorry, that punch won’t make any difference because Kaguya must be stupid to not use her 360 degree vision to see Sakura from behind. With Naruto and Sasuke has already become a demi god at this point, her clown show is incomparable].
She was useless in the final Naruto vs Sasuke arc.
So, you tell me Anon. Did she make any impact to the story that served as a major twist??
The story revolved around Naruto and Sasuke.
Itachi, Obito, Jiraiya, Madara, Hashirama and other Hokages were the game changers of this story. Meaning, their presence or death will change the story by a huuuuggge margin.
Tsunade, Orochimaru, Team Nagato, Kabuto helped our protagonists in a BIGGGG WAAYYYY.
Akatsuki were just amazing who gave us the sense of thrill as well as fun.
Even Sakura being good will never impact the story because she had no dedicated arc written for her.
But, if she were written as a good character, my viewing experience would have improved in a relaxing way so much so that I don’t have to press my fast forward button whenever she appears and I wouldn’t be writing this post explaining why I hate her.
How would you improve Sakura?
Simple, By writing her similar to Rin Nohara.
No obsession but a simple love towards Sasuke.
No toxicity but caring friendship towards Naruto.
That’s all.
How do you feel about people changing certain aspects about Sakura to try to improve her character?
Well, that means they would qualify as a fanfiction writers, aren’t they??.
Also, this inherently proves that she is a piss poor character and people wants to change certain aspects of her which they find annoying. But it will 100% end up being OOC. And I’m not into reading those OOC stuffs, Anon.
I always believe in accepting what the author has given rather than trying to fix their work. Because the author writes a character deliberately to make the readers feel what he intended in the first place. Kishi could write a redemption for even someone like Orochimaru towards the very end. Like, he literally made him to help Sasuke, not as a human predator, but as a former Master and an admirer. He wrote him to help Tsunade and other Kages. So in the end, Orochimaru was not hated like he was hated in part 1. If he can write something for Orochimaru, why not for Sakura???
You know how I can redeem Sakura in just 3 or 4 panels?
Let me tell you.
After that fake confession, Sakura could talk to Naruto,
“I am very Sorry, Naruto. I know you will never take things in your heart. But still I shouldn’t have used Love as a tool to make you not to do something. I was an Idiot to not realize how badly you want to save Sasuke. It wasn’t just for me. But it was for Sasuke and also for you, as his friend and also for us as Team 7. So, how about we go to Ichiraku, for a nice lunch??”
While confessing Sasuke for the second time,
“It seems you still want to go on to that dark path, isn’t it?. I am not the most powerful ninja in this world and I know I can’t trade blows with you. But still.... if you try to hurt my friend, Naruto and my master, Tsunade. I will fight with all my strength to kill you..... Even though I love you”
I am pretty sure, if Sakura confessed something along these lines, everyone would have admired her and it shows her emotional maturity as a Kunoichi who wants to do something to this world as well as a person who is ready to kill someone she loved in order to protect the people she holds dear.
In chapter 699. Before saying Goodbye to Sasuke,
“I am very Sorry, Sasuke. I never really understood what was going on inside your heart. And, I always forced myself on you because of my selfishness. I really feel bad for those things. I never really became your friend in the first place. How about we say farewell as ‘a good friends’, before your redemption journey??” (Shakes hands.... End of Scene)
How is this???
Is it pleasant to read?? Of course, Yes.
I am pretty sure it wouldn’t take more than 4 or 5 panels. Kishi could’ve easily did something like this. Am pretty sure readers would’ve been satisfied. Her fans too. Even I would’ve forgiven her mistakes.
But Kishi didn’t and I am very sure it’s deliberate. Because, this very same Kishimoto could able to write Konan, Tsunade who acts with so much maturity without whining like a little girl.
Which shows Kishi clearly hates this character and never wanted to redeem her.
So no matter how many people improve this character, it will never be believable.
How do you feel about narusaku?
Naruto always placed Sasuke as his priority, Anon. That’s always the case. So, apart from SNS, if you want me to say whether NaruSaku had any potential?
I would say, yes, NaruSaku had potential. I will not deny it. Naruto had some liking towards Sakura compared to the absolute indifference towards Hinata.
There are some moments Sakura genuinely cried for Naruto without anyone’s influence. I liked it. Say, the scene where she cried on hearing ‘A Jinchuriki without Bijuu will die” and with Yamato she told, “I can only do little things for Naruto”.
These are all coming from her own heart. No one instilled inside her.
[[[ That’s why I will not accept her realization of ‘Annoying, huh? So, this is how Naruto must have felt too. Maybe I should be a little nicer to him next time’ as genuine in Episode 3. Because she realized only after Sasuke roasted her. I want feelings to emerge subconsciously rather than instilled by someone. ]]]
Unlike the asshole Sakura she was in part 1, Sakura started out good in Shippuden. I was surprised with her development in Gaara Retrieval Arc and was not at all annoyed by her presence. (Except when she said she will save Naruto and Sasuke from Itachi.... Grrrrr.... Biashhhhh.... Do you know Itachi’s abilities first of all??? He can crush you like a meatball with his Susanoo)
I started to feel, ‘Wooow!!! She has improved a lot. Great!!!!’.
Even though, she was useless in Rasen Shuriken Arc, She still made an effort to make food pills for Naruto. She even hugged Naruto much to his surprise, before all the villagers and especially before, ahemmm Hinata after defeating Pain.
Despite all of these moments that had happened between them, I could only see them as a pair formed of mutual tragedies rather than mutual attraction, Anon. In their case, Losing Sasuke. I wasn’t 100% sure whether Sakura moved on from Sasuke or not. Because When Sakura was looking for Sasuke with Kakashi’s Tracking dogs, she was still in love with him. So Sakura fluctuates between her obsession with Sasuke and some genuine feelings towards Naruto.
Kage summit Arc is where everything changed and finalized. Sakura was crying like an annoying shit when she heard that Sasuke joined Akatsuki and was wanted by Raikage. This clearly shows her obsession has flared up again and ‘Poof’ all the development she had with Naruto was thrown into drain.
On top of it, the fake confession. Grrrrrr.......
Plus, Naruto officially closed the possibilities of this ship by saying, “Sasuke, I know the Truth of Itachi from a guy named Tobi. I don’t know whether it’s true or not. But whatever you’ve been doing so far (hunting Killer Bee, ruckus in Kage summit conference, trying to kill Sakura, Kakashi).... It’s all understandable”.
If Naruto truly, wholeheartedly, deeply loved Sakura, he wouldn’t have said something like, ‘It’s understandable why you tried to kill Sakura”. He should have beaten Sasuke into a pulp. Or atleast shown some intense anger. Instead, Naruto was talking to Sasuke and making promise by saying ‘We will die together’. It’s like Sakura playing cupid for Sasuke and Naruto.
Naruto was okay with someone trying to kill Sakura whereas he was not okay with someone trying to kill Sasuke and even went to the extent of hyperventilating. This is why I feel any other ships are incomparable with SNS.
After that Sakura started to behave rabidly towards Sasuke in the War arc which I can’t help but feel disgusting. So, anything she did for Naruto in the War Arc was overshadowed by her crazy obsession towards Sasuke. That’s why her CPR doesn’t matter, Sakura healing Naruto doesn’t matter. [Naruto has his own regenerative abilities, so whatever she does will not matter much for him]
So, NaruSaku was closed officially by Naruto and Sakura. It couldn’t sail because of the presence of Sasuke.
At the end, I felt like Sakura used Naruto for getting her man back ready for romance rather than a killer mode Sasuke. I couldn’t feel the friendship they once had or any familiarity.
I just hate people who don’t value friendships, anon. Sakura was not even a good friend, first of all. Yeah she had her friendly moments here and there. But, at the end of the series, she was not. A war has just ended, many people lost their lives, her supposed ‘best friend’ Ino lost her father. Why can’t she help her out emotionally? Why can’t she do some fucking good stuffs for this Shinobi world like her other teammates?? Instead, what she did was ‘let’s go and persuade Sasuke-kun to lend me some D by going along with his journey. Because I am so horny’.
It not how you were in the beginning, It’s how you ended up being. She started this series as a worst friend and she ended up as a worst human being for me. How can I ship such a person with Naruto????

A Little Party Never Killed Nobody...
Tumblr media
                              1700 Follower Drabble!
A/N: Oh goodness gracious!! I’ve hit 1700 beautiful and loving followers. Everyone of you bringing more and more light into my world:’) In honor of you all helping me fulfill my dream as a writer and supporting me along the way, here is a little drabble for all you sweet humans. I can’t thank you enough, and I can’t express my love for each of you enough as well...
-So, I stole from my prompt list on an old challenge I did and created a drabble of my own with them! Hope you enjoy my lovelies<3
Pairing: Bucky x Reader
Word Count: 5000+
Prompts:
“I actually did my hair for the first time in 3 months. I think I deserve a medal for this. “
“Dude, it’s 3 in the morning.”
____________
The banging was loud and profusely consistent as Y/N sat up from sleep with a groan. She sent a death glare to the door as if it was the culprit to waking her, but she knew it was one of her teammates that would soon be dead...
“What?!” she said bitterly, quickly tearing open the door.
Bucky was on the other side with a slick grin showing his amusement to the situation. Her hair disheveled from sleep and eyes filled with hatred, but the sports bra and tight sleep shorts were doing something for her in her annoyed state.
“Mission. Be in the helicarrier in bay 3 in 20 minutes,” he said with a smirk before turning in his step to walk away.
“Dude, it’s 3 in the morning!” she shouted after him.
“Evil doesn’t sleep,” he responded without looking back.
All he heard from behind him was a strangled groan mixed with a muffled scream as she went back in her room and slammed the door.
____________
The last to board the helicarrier, Y/N walked in throwing her things to the side, and sat in a seat immediately falling to her side to fall asleep again.
“Wake up, Y/N. We have to do a briefing,” Bucky said, slapping her boot.
“I swear to God. Do you have a deathwish?” she growled, begrudgingly sitting up and rubbing her eyes.
“Really not a morning person this one,” Nat laughed coming around the corner. Y/N sending her a glare as well, but not nearly as deadly as the one she saved specifically for Bucky. “Come on. We’ll make it quick, and then we have a 4 hour flight. You can sleep then,” she nodded toward the briefing area of the giant plane.
Taking a deep breath she stood up following the rest of the team with Bucky behind her.
“Cicely Rosmarie DeLuca. Daughter of Ramone DeLuca who is a well known crime boss in Italy. Seems to run in the family as Cicely has taken over the control of her family's business within the last 2 years,” Steve explained pulling up pictures on the screen as everyone sat with informational packets on the group in front of them.
“Since when did we start handling crime bosses?” Sam spoke up.
Everyone who had been on this particular mission included; Nat, Sam, Bucky, Steve, Y/N, and Wanda. So if this many Avengers were needed, clearly something much bigger than just crime bosses were involved.
“Because the DeLuca’s are working with a division group of Hydra. We think they aren’t really in it for what Hydra wants, but more so gaining the alli and making some money on the side,” Steve sighed. “It looks like they have a means to steal plans that could wreak havoc on confidential equipment that we have in the works. Stuff that could easily be modified to become world wide dangers.”
“I have an idea,” Y/N spoke up. The whole crew turned to her. “Let’s just stop creating things that can destroy planet Earth. I feel like that’s a healthy start to creating the safe environment we’ve been fighting so hard to preserve over all these years.” The grin on her face was big and sarcastic and quickly dropped to a bitch face.
“You can’t help but be a smartass all hours of the day, can you sweetheart?” Bucky groaned a few seats ahead of her. The pet name only there because he knew how much it annoyed her.
“And you can’t help but be a nuisance to my life all hours of the day, can you jackass?” she retorted.
“You guys. Focus,” Steve interrupted, sending the two his Captain look. “You’re going to have to get along for this mission because we’re going undercover, and we only have one night to get this right.”
“Undercover how?” Wanda asked.
“There’s a gala in Venice. From what we’ve gathered, the information will be swapped there. We need to hunt it down discreetly and capture the agents working with Hydra. From there, we’ll bring them in for questioning and figure out where exactly they are getting their information from. We believe we have a spy within our facility that’s leaking all the confidential knowledge.”
“And if these Hydra agents happen to do what Hydra does best and kill themselves before we can get anything out of them, then what?” Y/N asked.
“Ever the optimist,” Bucky mumbled. No one else paid mind to it, but Y/N kicked the back of his chair making him turn and send yet another glare at her.
“We’ve prepared for that,” Steve said, nodding to Nat to go to the next slide. “We have devices, drugs, and antidotes in case cyanide becomes involved. The capsules of drug and equipment being used incapacitates them long enough to get them back to our base and keep in holding. From there, we will take other precautions to keep them from doing anything stupid that involves cyanide. Again, we don’t know if that will be the case, but with our history with Hydra, they have yet to prove us wrong.”
“So basically, you’re bringing us to go to a party to roofie Hydra agents. I gotta say, not what I was expecting from our high tech division,” Y/N nodded with a small laugh.
“It’s the best way to keep discrete and not cause a scene or hopefully any fatalities at the gala. They are using a charity for cover, and I rather not actual good people get hurt in the end,” Steve sighed. “Now, we land in 3 and a half hours. Once landed get your gear ready, look over your profiles, and get prepared for the gala. Like I said we are going undercover, so look your best.”
“This doesn’t happen to be a black tie gala, does it?” Bucky asked.
“What gala isn’t?” Sam retorted.
“Suits are already ready to go in the other room. Ladies, our dresses are in section 11 of the ship,” Nat explained, standing and gathering her things. “Y/N, that means you're going to figure out how to walk in heels,” she smirked.
“I think we’ll need more time than you’re giving us for that to ever be convincing,” Bucky snickered. Sam laughed too.
“Oh, shut the fuck up. I’ve done missions like this before. Just because I don’t wear an evening gown everyday, doesn’t mean I can’t pull one off,” she stood, walking by and flicking the back of Bucky’s head.
Her, Nat, and Wanda leaving the room while Bucky held the crown of his head in vexation.
“Son of a-” he started going to stand and retaliate.
“Buck, I’m going to need you to pull it together for one night,” Steve said, cutting him off from his path to harass Y/N. “You and Y/N are teammates. So either put on a face or suck it up for the night.”
“I’m not the one you need to be telling that too. The she-witch in there is going to be the one to mess it up if any of us,” Bucky argued.
“Y/N is a well trained spy and the best marksman on the team as of right now. She will do her job and you’ll do yours. You have to let the petty fighting go for one night, ok?”
“Come on Cap. You know it’s more than just petty arguments. Bucks gotta crush,” Sam said singing the last words.
With wide eyes, Bucky turned to Sam. “I do not! She’s nothing but an annoying headache added to my life... Scratch that. Migraine.”
“That’s what someone with a crush would say,” Sam said with a grin and squinted eyes.
“I don’t have a-” Bucky started.
“Hey Cap. Nat needs you real quick,” Y/N said poking her head back in. Everyone turned to her as if they just got caught doing an illegal act and stayed silent. “Did I walk in on something?”
“No,” Steve shook his head. “I’ll be there in a second.”
She nodded before giving everyone a furrowed eyebrow in confusion as she left. “Weirdos,” she mumbled walking away.
Steve let out a deep sigh. “Just behave yourself tonight. If you do, Y/N will too.” He walked to leave the room.
“Yeah, right,” Bucky scoffed.
“Yeah, your 100% smitten,” Sam laughed walking past him out of the room.
“No, I’m not!”
__________________
The time had come. Everyone was prepared. Lookouts were in their designated spots, any tech that was being used was up and live, and everyone was about to meet at the Gala.
“Ok, Nat, you’re with me tonight. Sam and Wanda you two will be with each other. And Bucky and Y/N, you two will be partners as well,” Steve explained over the coms.
All the women had arrived just a few minutes later and the men were already scoping out the place.
“Wait, what?” Bucky responded back. Sam standing next to him.
“Oh, he definitely did that on purpose,” Sam chuckled.
“Why the hell would he? We don’t work well together,” Bucky groaned, looking around for her.
“Well, you better figure it out. At least for tonight,” Sam patted his back, taking a champagne glass from the passing waiter and moving to find his chosen partner.
Bucky rolled his eyes into another dimension thinking about the all annoying arguments that he was sure would be apart of the night.
“Fine, Y/N what are you wearing?” Bucky asked in the comms.
“James, I’m flattered, but I don’t really like you in that way,” her sass came back through the ear piece.
“Steve,” Bucky groaned.
“Guy’s stop it. Y/N tell Bucky what you're wearing so we can start this mission. We don’t have all night,” Steve instructed with irritation.
“A black dress,” she sighed.
“Wow, real descriptive. Let me just search through all 500 of them I see,” Bucky said sarcastically.
“I’m by the rip off Vincent van Gogh painting on the east side. Next to the waterfall,” she explained.
Bucky took a deep breath walking over in her direction. It was a really crowded place, so maneuvering through people to find her became difficult. That was until he reached the fountain she was talking about, and the people had thinned out some.
Glancing all around, he couldn’t pick her out from all the black dresses he’d seen.
“Y/N, where the hell are you?” he whisper shouted in the comms. No answer. “Of fucking course no answer,” he said to himself.
But upon sharper inspection, he noticed her face in the distance.
And holy shit.
That did not look like the Y/N he was used to. I mean it did, but she was usually a natural beauty. Not that she wasn’t right now, but done up the way she was was a whole different kind of beauty.
Her dress was a black off the shoulder evening gown. The middle section of it was a see through mesh, and the top part of it looked as if it she had a bra on full display. Only bringing more attention to her perfectly modeled torso. Her hair was done in an elegant, but messy, kind of braid. The whole ensemble flowing together and creating an refined and formal Y/N that Bucky had never got the chance before tonight to see.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Having looking that stunning, Bucky wasn’t surprised to see the men around her glance her way. However, the man that was only a few feet into her space and talking up a storm looked to be making Y/N uncomfortable. She had on a fake smile trying not to bring attention to herself, but disgust to the older and space invading man, was showing in her eyes.
Quickly, Bucky maneuvered to her.
“There you are, doll,” he smiled widely at her, putting his arm out and wrapping it around her waist as he pulled her side into him. “I must have gone to the wrong fountain looking for you,” he winked.
As if in instinct, she leaned into his side and brought her hand to his chest lightly patting it.
“Oh dear, you and your directionally challenged self. I can’t take you anywhere,” she laughed in a surprisingly domestic way.
“Oh, is this your-?” the older, and now looking at him closer, creepy man started looking Bucky up and down.
“My date, yes,” she answered. “If you’ll excuse us, we have some other friends that we were supposed to be meeting with,” she patted Bucky’s chest. “Right, honey?”
Lost while staring down at Y/N, he didn’t answer right away, but when he looked back at the old man who had a suspicious look on his face, he snapped out of it.
“Uh, yes. If you’ll excuse us,” he said offering his arm, which she took and intertwined herself into him.
They walked away quickly before the man could say anything else and once a good distance away, Y/N let out a deep sigh.
“Take it you weren’t the one that approached him?” Bucky chuckled.
“99% of the time it’s not the woman doing the approaching. It’s the sexually frustrated, overcompensating, and egotistic assholes that do,” she shook her head.
Ok that made him chuckle a little.
“Well, glad I could be of service,” Bucky nodded looking around them. If he was going to stay focused on the mission, he couldn’t be looking at her. She had proven herself to be a distraction for the night while looking like that.
“Yes, thank you. I would have done something about it, but I don’t think throat punching someone in the middle of a gala would have been normal entertainment for these people,” she said almost in disgust at the crowd around them. All prissy and rich, donating only a 164th of their wealth to try and not come off as greedy.
“I’m sorry, I don’t think I heard that right. Did you just say… Thank you?” Bucky teased.
“Don’t push your luck, Barnes,” she countered, but when she looked up at him there was a small smile on her dark maroon lips. A look Bucky had never really been on the receiving end of.
He returned it in surprise and noticed just how devastatingly gorgeous she looked up close. Had she always been this stunning and Bucky never noticed. Ok, well he had noticed, but with the constant fighting and bickering they did, it was hard to focus on it.
Without thinking, his thoughts spilled out. “You look very nice tonight,” he said to her. Instantly blushing and looking away.
“A compliment? I didn’t know you knew how to use those,” she gasped teasingly.
“Don’t push your luck, Y/L/N,” he retorted back. The smile still stuck on his face.
“Time out. Are we being civil right now?” she asked, halting her steps. Bucky stopped and looked back at her.
“It’s possible if you just learn how to be less aggravating,” he smirked.
“There it is. Whew, I was worried we were getting along for a second,” she laughed, continuing their walk.
Bucky hadn’t heard that laugh ever. At least not directed to something he had said. And damn, he liked it. Why the hell did he have to like it?
“You know? I actually did my hair for the first time in 3 months. I think I deserve a medal for this,” she added.
“I don’t think they give out medals for that,” Bucky couldn’t help himself, but laugh with her.
“Well, they should. It took quite a bit of effort. Doing hair could be an olympic spot in itself,” she shrugged.
“Ok, everyone in their sections?” Steve’s voice came through the comms.
“Good here,” Sam spoke up.
“We’re set here,” Y/N checked in.
“Great. Keep an eye out for the individuals we’re here for. Y/N, Bucky, you guys keep an eye on the DeLuca’s. If they venture off from the party, it could be the meeting we’re here for. So follow and keep us updated,” Steve instructed.
“Got it, Cap,” Bucky voiced in. “Alright, shall we mingle?” he asked, looking down at Y/N.
“I mean, if we must,” she deflated some on his arm, but quickly put on a mask straightening and acting as if she went to an event like this every weekend.
______________
They conversed, they faked life stories with the rich, they drank, and they easily convinced everyone around them they were just another pair of investors. The mission was doing fine other than the fact, nothing suspicious had happened yet.
The was until, Y/N was getting her 4th drink and Bucky noticed Cicely DeLuca was conversing with someone they had kept an eye on all night. And now, was headed off to another room with them.
“Y/N,” Bucky said coming up behind her. “They're moving.”
Y/N took a long sip of the wine in her hand. She squinted toward the group and nodded.
“Ok, let’s get to business,” she nodded, walking straight to them.
“Y/N!” Bucky shouted quickly, grabbing her arm before she got to far, and she fell into him some.
“Oops,” she giggled, stumbling on her feet.
“Wait a second. Are you drunk?” he asked in a concerned voice.
“No, no,” she brushed off. Clearing her throat. “No… Ok, a little tipsy, but not drunk,” she waved off. “I lost count of the champagne, and I’m pretty sure they have a high proof brand.”
“Dear God. We're on a mission, Y/N. What were you thinking?!”
“I was thinking, free alcohol,” she smirked before standing straighter. “No time to talk about it. We need to go.”
She turned and quietly marched to follow. Bucky close behind caught up to her and wrapped a hand her arm.
“You’re a mess. Just let me lead,” he groaned pulling her arm through his and keeping her close.
“You smell good,” she noted.
He looked down at her and saw she was giving him a soft sincere smile. Really? Out of all times, this is when she decided to make Bucky’s head all fuzzy.
“Come on,” he sighed, pulling her gently to the corridor the suspicious group disappeared into.
Discreetly they stayed around the corner and watched the DeLuca’s and guests go into a secluded room. No one else was in the halls but them and a few guards posted at the doors.
“Shit,” Bucky whispered.
“What?” Y/N asked peeking her head around to see what Bucky saw, but she peeked out a little too much and the guard heard them. He quickly pulled her back from view.
“Damn it, Y/N,” Bucky whispered to her in a frustrated way.
He was going to pull her away down another hallway to try and keep from being fully caught, but he wasn’t fast enough, and the guard started to come around the corner.
Without getting a second to prepare, Y/N crashed her lips into Bucky’s and wrapped her arms around his shoulders behind his neck. A little stunned at first, Bucky froze, but it didn’t take him long to fall into the action with her. He slowly brought his hands around her waist and pulled her flush to him. The kiss hard and frenzied.
“Hey, you two aren’t supposed to be here!” The guard shouted.
Y/N pulled away and faked shock.
“Oh, goodness! I’m so sorry,” she blushed, adding a fake british accent and pushing herself into Bucky in embarrassment. “We were just trying to find a quiet place to… Well, I won’t get too graphic,” she giggled.
The man who at first had a hard glare on his face eased up and sighed.
“It’s fine. I’m just going to need you two go back to the party. This section is closed off,” he instructed coming closer.
“Of course, of course. You’re only doing your job. I get it,” she smiled a captivating and warm smile untangling herself from Bucky who had yet to be able to form a coherent thought since her surprise make out session. “Let me just grab my clutch real fast- Oop!” She dropped the purse that had opened and the contents of it spilling out. “Oh God. I’m such a clutz,” she laughed. The alcohol created a tint of red in her cheeks only making her little act more convincing.
“Here, let me help,” the large guard offered, bending to help her grap the loose items.
“Ever the gentleman,” she beamed up at him. Before he knew it though, the tiny bottle of perfume she had in the clutch let out a spritz in his face.
He coughed at first, but in seconds fell over asleep. Before he could hit the floor with a thud, Bucky moved to ease him down.
“What the fuck?” Bucky said with wide eyes as he looked back at her.
“What? I’m doing my job,” she answered, calmly and collectively putting her things back in her clutch and smoothing out her dress. Her behavior was completely different from 2 seconds ago. “Tipsy doesn’t mean I’m completely incompetent.”
The footsteps of the second guard coming around the corner were getting closer.
“Move him,” Y/N directed before walking toward the other threat.
By the time Bucky had placed the other man in a closet nearby and turned the corner where Y/N had gone, he saw her dragging the second guard back his way.
“A little help, muscles?” she groaned at the heavy set guy in her hands.
Bucky quickly did the same with the second guard placing them in closets and blocking the door with a heavy decorative table.
“Cap, we’re at the meeting room. Both guards taken care of and about to put the listening device on. You ready?”
“Nat?” Steve asked.
“On it”, Nat replied. “Y/N, if you can’t get into the room, stick it to the door. I can get feedback that way too,” she instructed.
Bucky looked at Y/N. “Where’s the device?” he asked.
“One second,” she exhaled. She placed her hand on his shoulder for support as she lifted her foot and dug out a small mechanism from her heel. “For once, heels are useful in my life,” she sighed, putting her foot back down and activating it. “Keep watch.” She moved to the double doors the suspects were in and placed it on the outside as Bucky kept an eye down the hallway.
“Why do I feel like a sidekick in this and not an actual agent?” Bucky mumbled.
“Because you're Robin and I’m the Batman in this scenario, didn’t you know?” she said with a wink and her sarcasm coming back.
He rolled his eyes before looking back down the hall.
“Ok, we’re in,” Nat explained. “Sam and Wanda head to their location for stand by in case they need backup.”
“Copy that,” Wanda spoke up.
They all listened in on the conversation but so far it had just been exchanging casualties and nothing having to do with evil plans.
“God, talk about a boring party,” Y/N sighed next to Bucky as they waited for something to happen.
“Wasn’t boring 5 minutes ago,” Bucky thought to himself.
He couldn’t help but look over to her and study her again. She was focused on the view from the balcony off to the side. You could see the party happening down there, but it was a private spot where the people below couldn’t really see them up where they were.
She fidgeted with the small mesh strap that wrapped around her arms creating the off the shoulder look. Her eyes darting around as if some form of danger was down there and not behind her.
“What are you seeing?” he asked.
“Don’t know. But something about this seems off,” she said softly.
“Off how?” he went on.
“It’s been 5 minutes of small talk and nothing about what we came here for. It’s usually straight to dirty business with these things.” She looked back at him, but the look in his eye wasn’t showing interest in the mission. He looked like he was thinking about something else. Turning back to the balcony she spoke up. “What’s going on in that head of yours Barnes? You catching something I’m not?”
“Why’d you kiss me?” he said bluntly.
She stiffened and turned back to him. “What?”
“You could of easily just acted drunk and done something with that to throw him off, but you kissed me. And not just a fake, ‘I’m trying to act kiss’ That was a full on kiss,” he said taking a step to her.
“We’re on a job Bucky. I have to make it as convincing as possible,” she said, but there was a weird hesitancy in her voice. “That or we would have been caught and dealing with two highly trained security guards, possibly causing a ruckus that would have brought attention to us.”
He paused. He was looking too far into it, wasn’t he? He just made an awkward situation out of nothing.
“Though, I can’t not say you in that suit had something to do with it,” she mumbled to herself, but the super soldier hearing beat out her quiet confession.
“I’m sorry, what was that?” Bucky grinned shocked and stood behind her.
“You look good in a suit, ok? It made it a little easier kissing you,” she huffed not making eye contact with him. “Don’t get too big an ego there, bud.”
Though he could come up with about 30 different things to say and push her buttons with that confession, that’s not where his mind went.
When she turned, not hearing a witty response for the co-worker, she didn’t expect to see him right behind her and almost chest to chest at the movement.
“What are you-” she started, but looking up into his eyes, she didn’t see irritation this time. No, she saw lust. His eyes dilated to where the blues of his eyes just covered the rims. “Bucky,” she said in a hushed whisper not being able to break her gaze from his lips.
But before she could question him, he lowered himself to her level and connected their lips once again that evening. His hand going from her cheek to behind her neck pulling her in. Her hands at first on his chest nervous at the closeness, but now grabbing the lapels of his coat and pulling him closer.
Frantic and starved was the best way to describe that kiss. As if it had been a long time coming, and tasted oh so much sweeter after marinating all this time.
They eventually pulled away from the intoxicating and dizzying action. Both of their eyes practically black looking at the other.
“I’ve wanted to do that for a long time,” Bucky confessed.
“Could’ve fooled me,” she said, still trying to catch her breath.
Breaking the moment up, they heard a crash come from the other side of the doors they were monitoring.
“Shit,” Y/N said, quickly making haste to the room. Bucky two steps behind her.
Bucky kicked open the doors and saw Hydra agents pointing their gun at the DeLuca’s. Though their job wasn’t to take care of the crime boss family, no one needed to get hurt.
The gun quickly turned on Bucky, but before the shot could be made, a knife flew into the man's shoulder causing him to grasp it and fall to the ground in agony.
“Nice shot,” Bucky smirked.
“Thanks, now focus!” She smiled back before the two went in and a whole fight scene evolved.
Sam and Wanda were there seconds later, and as if the easiest task in the world, all the bad guys were in the hands of the Avengers.
No one died, and everyone that was needed for questioning was put to sleep somehow and brought back to the helicarrier.
________________
“Nice work, Y/L/N,” Steve patted her shoulder that hadn’t been injured.
At some point in the fight, the sleeves she had been fiddling with on her shoulders had restricted her to defend herself from a knife. In the act of cutting her though, it also cut the sash off and Y/N used it to her advantage. She had used the fabric as a way to tie up the man who assaulted her and render him defenseless after some light manipulation with the sash made his weaponless. Crazy the things you can make dangerous when your a trained spy.
“Thanks Cap,” she smiled, hissing as the nurse on board put a disinfectant on the wounds.
“Hey, coming out with just one injury is a win when you use a ribbon as your weapon,” Bucky chuckled walking over. Hands in his pockets and a smile taking over his features.
“You’re not wrong,” she laughed before hissing again at another round of alcohol to the open cut.
“I don’t think you’ll need stitches, but we are going to wrap this up to keep from infection. Let me go grab the gauze,” the nurse informed her, heading to the medical bay.
“Nice work tonight,” Bucky said, sitting next to her. “I guess working side by side isn’t as horrible as I suspected.”
“Eh, it wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t great,” she said shrugging. Bucky sent her a blank stare and slowly blinked, not amused. “Oh, lighten up. I’m just pulling your leg,” she laughed, shoving his shoulder lightly. “You’re not that bad of a partner.”
He eased up and a soft smile formed on his lips before he looked back down.
“Listen,” he started.
“How do you feel about getting coffee when we get back?” she cut him off.
“What?” Bucky said sitting straighter.
“Coffee. You know that drink that gives people energy. It’s usually served around breakfast time, but in Europe they actually-”
“I know what coffee is,” he shook his head with a chuckle. “I’m just a little shocked.”
The nurse came back around the corner and motioned for Y/N to come with her. She got up and turned back to Bucky before she followed.
“You shouldn’t be, considering what happened on that balcony,” she winked, making him blush as she disappeared around the corner.
“Damn,” Bucky eventually said to himself when he could form a thought. “She’s going to be the death of me…”

Pairing: Sylvie Brett x Quinn Maxs (Fem! Paramedic)
Summary: You’re living life with Firehouse 51. But, you begin to feel feelings for your Paramedic-in-charge; Sylvie Brett. You don’t know how to tell her, understanding the history of her past relationships. Most of all, you don’t want her seeing you differently, should you tell her. You only told your fellow paramedic; Gianna Mackey and your best friend and firefighter; Stella Kidd. However, you beg them both to not tell Brett. However, once Hermann’s fill-in comes in, you believe you’ve waited too long to tell Brett how you really feel about her.
Warning: Chicago Fire Season 9 Episode 9: Escape Route spoilers
A/N: Quinn Maxs is my OC for Chicago Fire! Enjoy my first Sylvie Brett imagine!!
Theme: “MAYDAY” - coldrain/Ryo (Fire Force Opening 2)
-------------------------------------------------------
As you close your locker and bid Hermann a farewell and to enjoy his vacation you pass by Brett, but a familiar face.... Grainger....
"Hey, I remember you, Y/n Y/l/n right?" He asks, smiling
Hiding your emotions well, you casually salute three fingers to him before hearing the alarm go off.
"Engine 51, Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, structure fire,"
As you heard the address you head to 61 to deploy for the call.
"Hey why don't you ride shotgun Y/l/N," Mackey suggests, smiling
"Sure, thanks Mackey," you say, opening the passenger side door
"Mackey wanted to ride back?" Sylvie asks
"Yeah, I guess so," you sigh, not looking at her
"Hey, are you alright? You've seemed to be moping for a little bit." Sylvie asks
"Oh I'm fine, a little tired. Lack of sleep," You lie
You were kind of accurate but also very inaccurate. You realized when Sylvie and Grainger were flirting before the call.
"Tell you what, why not tonight after shift I treat you to Molly's?" She suggests
"You sure?" You ask
"Totally," Brett smiles
81, Squad 3 and 61 arrive at the fire. You notice Grainger giving orders out already however, Casey angrily tells him to wait for his orders. Both you and Sylvie watch that unfold but you think nothing of it as Casey is Captain. But you're assuming 40 doesn't have a captain.
After the call, 61 running a severely burned mother to Med, you voluntarily hopped in the back, to avoid Brett seeing your emotions become unfolded. Although they could hear you, you were crying on the inside.
Brett's POV "Hey Mackey do you think Y/l/n is okay?" She asks
"What makes you think that?" Mackey replies back
"On our way to the call earlier she wasn't very talkative like she usually is," she says, "I just wanna know if she's talked to you about anything."
"Nope, she's been quiet about that," Mackey says
Y/n’s POV You lay down on your bed in the quiet area of 51, contemplating life choices. With a handful of Med runs n such, nothing happened out of the ordinary.
"You doing okay kid?" Stella comes over
"Well aside from my jealousy of Grainger easily wooing Brett, I'm fine," you sigh
"You need to tell her before anything happens Y/n," she replies, "You're going to regret it once you decide to tell her when its too late."
"She is inviting me out to Molly's after shift if that means anything.." you say
"That’s the perfect time to do it" Stella smiles before walking away
Once the end of shift came and you make your leave. You try to avoid Brett as much as possible.
"Y/l/n!" Brett calls
You silently sigh to yourself but put on a happy face for her.
"You ready to go love?" She asks, slinging her arm around yours as she drags you along
"For sure," you force a smile
"Hey why don't you join us later, once your done with inventory?" Sylvie suggests to Grainger
"I'd love to," Grainger smiles
On the inside you were freaking out. But you also believed this was the time to tell her, as Stella says.
"Have you been doing okay y/l/n? You're not as talkative as you usually are," Sylvie asks
"Just a long day, like I said this morning Brett, I have had a lack of sleep," you sigh, "Hey I'm gonna get a drink from Stella do you want anything?"
"Just a beer," Sylvie smiles
You smile back, you realize that's the first time you've smiled around Brett.
"Have you told her yet Y/n?” Stella asks, coming over to you
"No," you sigh, "I don't know. You are right by telling her now but I’m just so-"
You notice Stella looking over your shoulder, "Grainger is there isn't he?..."
Stella nods, "Sorry Y/n."
"Two beers," you request, "Might as well be a peace offering."
"Are you gonna stick around?" She asks
"I'm just gonna give them the beers and pretty much lie," you say, "Hey, I'll text you if anything happens."
Stella nods, in approval to your plan. She walks over and gets the beers. You slip her a $10 tip.
"Half of it is working in a full house, the other is... Well, being my Partner in Crime," you smile as you shake off your sadness and force a smile onto your face as you put the beers between the two supposed lovebirds.
"For me?" Grainger smiles
"That's a thanks for today, Welcome to 51," You forcefully smile
My god I want to leave! You begin to feel an inferno build up inside of you. You wanted to punch him in the face but that would not look good on a report.
"Hey, I just remembered I left something at the station. I'm going to run and go grab it and I’m gonna call it a night," you lie, "see you later Boss."
You take your jacket and your helmet and make your leave, putting on your helmet and then gloves. You first make your stop to your apartment, which wasn't too far from Molly's. Grabbing a backpack that would be big enough to store clothes in and essentials. You leave everything clean. As if no one was there. You make haste getting out of your apartment and to your motorcycle, making another leave.
You knock on the door to Boden's office. Which he looks up and greets you how he always does.
"Chief I need to talk to you, if you have a minute," you say, sitting in a chair
"What is it Y/l/n?" He asks
"I know you’re probably not one to listen to somebody's relationship life but um.." You stammer, figuring out how to tell him, "I don't know who else to turn to but only two other people know; Mackey and Kidd. I told them-I told them I really like Brett. However, I’m beginning to see her attraction towards our fill-in Lieutenant; Grainger. But the point is, I'm beginning to feel jealous. On the call this morning I was barely in it until either Mackey or Brett brought me back. I'm not sure if I've ever requested to take time off work. But, I feel that this is the time to. I don't want my emotions getting the best of me again Chief."
"Who else knows about this kind of request?" Boden asks
"Just you and me sir," you reply
"I appreciate the heads up Y/l/n and I appreciate your need to work with your emotions," he says, "How long do you want me to make you absent for?"
"One month," you request
"That's um... That's quite a big request Y/l/n," He sighs
"I understand that completely Chief, but Brett and Mackey are doing an excellent job as a two-person Ambo team, I strongly believe they can do the work in my absence," you say
"If you strongly believe it then so do I," He says, adjusting something on his laptop, "Is there anything else you need?"
"Yes," You sigh, "Don't tell Brett anything of what I told you in this moment. I don't want her feeling guilt over this when she and Mackey have lives to save. But if she does happen to ask, just tell her that I have a family emergency. If-if that's too much I can-"
"It's okay Y/l/n," Boden says, "Go clear your head."
"Thanks Chief," you smile, making your exit
You stop at a gas station to fill up on your motorcycle and eat before your long drive. As you wait for the gas to fill your tank, you hold your phone up to your ear.
"Hey, Stella, it's me," you start
"Hey kid. You doing okay? What's the update?" She asks
"Well, I first went to my apartment to get some things. I then went to the station and requested the Chief for some days off." You say
"How long?" She asks
"A month," you say
"A MON- oh, sorry. A month?" Stella says
"Yeah," you say, "I told Boden that Brett and Mackey and manage without me. It's not like I'm leaving 51."
"That's true," Stella sighs
"Hey, can you pass the word to Mackey too? I told her about this whole thing too," you say, "But neither of you tell Brett. I'm not having her feel guilty over this. This is for me."
"Got it kid, I gotta get back to work. Call me if you wanna talk at all," Stella says
"Noted, bye." You say, hanging up the phone as the gas had just filled up
As you pull off into a parking spot, you make another call.
"Hey, it's me," you smile, "Do you have any space in your house for me to stay in for now? You do? Okay, I'll be there in... God, 3-4 hours. Pull off into a hotel for the night? No, I'm good thanks. I'll make the drive. So long as I'm not in the city anymore. Thanks man, I'll try to keep you posted."
You put your helmet back on and set up your maps into the destination and ride off into the night. Though, you really only made stops at 24-hour gas stations.
Brett's POV The next morning at 51, Brett comes into the station right next to Grainger however, split once they go to their respective engines.
"Hey where's Y/l/n?" Sylvie asks Mackey when she noticed she's not in the ambo
"Family emergency," Mackey replies, clearly lying
"Oh... She didn't tell me," Brett sighs
"She was in a rush, she only figured out last night," Mackey adds
She walks over to Stella, "Hey did Y/l/n tell you-"
"She has a family emergency," Stella says, exactly the same story as Mackey
"She told you too?" Brett asks, "How come she didn't tell me?"
Stella looks at Brett, feeling bad she has to lie to her best friend. However, it was for the best for both you and Brett.
"Who didn't tell you what?" Grainger comes up behind Brett and hugs her
"One of my paramedics had a family emergency and didn't tell me," Brett says
"Well let's not worry about that right now," Grainger smiles as he gives Brett a cheek kiss
"If you guys kiss I’m gonna puke," Stella gags as she walks to the common room, Mackey following
Stella's POV "You're doing a great job Mackey," Kidd says, high-fiving her
"I'd never tell someone's personal info, unless they told me I could. This isn't one of those times," Mackey smiles
"Engine 51, Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61, Battalion 25, multiple hostile situation at 600 E Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611"
"That's Navy Pier," Stella realizes
51 deploys to the coordinates that are set in and by the time they get there, different firehouses and police stations are lined at the entrance.
"Voight, talk to me," Boden demands as he walks with them
"Seems like there's more than one perpetrator in this situation," Voight explains, "No casualties thus far, but possible injuries."
Y/n's POV As you get yourself some coffee you pull up the Chicago news radio on your phone.
"This just in, a multiple hostage situation is currently happening at Navy Pier. All civilians near the vicinity must evacuate immediately." The news reporter explains, "All CPD departments and multiple CFD houses are here at the scene.
"Sounds like one crazy adventure," your sister says, "glad your home and away from that."
"Sis, I'm worried," you sigh
"Is it about that Brett girl?" She asks, "forget her. She's missing one hell of an opportunity."
"Thing is I don't know if she's Bisexual." You state
"Even if she is and still sees you differently, she's missing out on a cool little sister," she says, messing up your hair, "I have to head out for work, if you're going out just lock the door and you remember where the spare key is?"
"I do sis," you smile
"See you later," she smiles and she closes the door
You turn back to your phone for the love broadcast of the situation back across Lake Michigan. Your sister was pretty much right on the edge of Michigan, great view of the lake. However, you look out to the window and hope, your house is doing okay. You wish you saw the situation happen from right across it but it was too wide for you to see it happen with your eyes. You sigh, wishing you could leave already. However, you realize your sister has a power boat. You quickly write down a note saying you'll be back and that you're borrowing her power boat. With no sailing experience, turnout gear or medic supplies. Only your bag and communicator, you rush out the door.
"Where's Y/l/n?!" Brett demands Mackey
"Brett you're so blind, Y/n is so into you!" Stella says, blurring out, "She left because she didn't want you to press her into talking to you about it. She didn't want you to see her any different if she told you. Let alone questioning if you like girls and you're beginning to go with hot-shot Grainger over there, so she wanted to get her mind off of her emotions."
Brett stands there, dumbfounded. Why didn't you tell her.
"Stella!" You call into your walkie
"Y/n?" Stella calls back
"On your six!" You say, smiling, "can't stay away."
She runs up to you and gives you a big bear hug.
"Listen up 51, I'm no commanding officer but I do sure know the place on the back of my hand. Captain Casey and Chief Boden... With your permission may I give the orders?" You ask through the walkie
"Yes ma'am," Casey answers
"What's your plan Y/l/n?" Chief Boden asks
"Okay, I scouted the perimeter and there's only, assuming they're away from the windows. Squad 3 you take the Northside, you try to get CPD officers into the building to clear the field for you. Engine 51, to Grainger with any room you have, get your hoses ready should any form of fire start. Truck 81, if shots are fired, move in, get as many civilians out as you can. I'll move in with you guys and give extra arms to help." You announce
You take a giant breath as you finish out your speech. Stella, Brett and Mackey look at you in awe as you've never taken initiative before.
"Y/l/n, I thought I have you on vacation," Boden comes up to you, "And you're not usually one to give orders."
"Apparently can't stay away sir," you sigh, adjusting your belt, "And I know this place all too well."
"Very well Y/l/n," Boden smiles, "You heard the lady men."
You watch Squad 3 and follow Truck 81 as you meet up with Burgess and Ruzek.
"You're gonna need this," Burgess heads you a 9 milimeter
"Thanks..." you say, taking it and concealing it
You hear screaming and gunshots. And hear a blaze begin.
"Grainger fire! I don't know where it is! Find it!" You demand
"You got it kid," he says
"Move in!" The muffled walkie screams as you, along with 81, Burgess, Ruzek and many other CPD officers barge into the building, ringing shots, killing nearly all the perpetrators.
"Hey kiddo it's okay it's okay," you tell her, checking for any signs of injury
"Y/l/n!" Kim yells, you immediately shield the kid as a shot rings out
You let out a strangled scream as your arm is bleeding; a severe gunshot wound. It didn't go into your skin and damage your bone however, the bullet made a real "good" indent in your skin as it rang out. Kim pulls the trigger on her glock 17 and kills the guy immediately. Kim helps you cover your wound as you still hold onto the kid, hoping any parental unit would claim her.
"Mommy," the girl cries
You turn over and see the mom, on the ground. You hand the kid over to Kim as you go to help Severide and Casey. You all get her onto the board to get her to 61.
"Brett, Mackey need the Ambo ready," you speak into your walkie
"Hey Burgess, you can let the girl into the ambo," you say as she helps the little girl into the back
"Aren't you coming with us?" Brett asks
"Can't, I have to take my sisters' power boat back across Lake Michigan," you sigh, "My sister is a doctor over at her local hospital, I'll drive myself over there."
"You're gonna bleed out, you need to get to med," Brett demands, calmly
"I can take care of myself Brett, don't worry about me I'll be fine." You say, trying to walk away
"Y/n!" Brett yells your first name
You never heard Brett call you by your first name. You shake it off before settling back to your stoic self.
"Let me go, please," you say calmly, "I'm only gone for a month."
"Did you tell Stella and Mackey to lie to me?" She asks you
"I didn't want you worrying about me," you sigh, "Besides, I'm going to be fine."
She lets go of you as you walk back to your sisters boat. She felt tears welding into her eyes.
"Brett, we gotta go," Mackey calls out
Mackey shuts the doors as Brett hops into the driver's seat and activates the sirens.
You arrive to your sisters workplace as a nurse rushes over to you.
"What happened?!" She asks
"Zoomed across Lake Michigan and helped my firehouse, but unfortunately I got grazed," you sigh
"Y/n?!" Your sister calls out to you, "oh my god Y/n you took my power boat?!"
You nod, "They needed my help."
"You have never changed," she laughs, "I can check you out."
Once your sister had stitched up your wound she discharged you from the hospital. Once you get back to your sisters place, you open your Chicago news app. The first article that comes up is the one from earlier.
"Firehouse 51 paramedic makes a chief-status plan while on this call today," The news reporter says, "According to 51s' Captain Matt Casey, it was an astounding plan. Girl's a hero."
You sigh as you don't really feel like a hero, just another day as a paramedic.
Your sister comes home late at night however, doesn't find you anywhere.
"Called Chief Boden and told him I changed my mind on my one month vacation, I'm heading back to 51 right now." Your sister read aloud, "Bought you something that’s in the fridge for taking care of me for a short time."
You park your motorcycle in one of the street parking slots as you keep your helmet on for secrecy. Without knowing it was you, Brett walks past you. Once you get to your locker, you try to make a quick haste to get yourself ready.
"In a rush?" Stella smiles
She comes up to you and gives you a big bear hug.
"Missed you kid," she smiles
Before you could say anything else you hear arguing from afar. You and Stella go to the garage and notice Brett and Grainger arguing.
"So you led me on?" He asks
"Not exactly, I wasn't aware of Quinn's feelings and I wasn't sure how to process it," Brett starts, "I just-"
"Just what Sylvie?" He asks, angrily
You notice she's beginning to falter.
"Y/n left, and for what?" He asks her, "She isn't a Lieutenant, Captain, or Chief! What makes her so special?! I don't think you made the right choice of making her on your paramedic team. How are YOU even the paramedic-in-charge?"
You've had enough, "HEY!"
They both turn to you, Brett almost crying years of joy. You place a gentle hand onto her shoulder, reassuring her that you'll settle this.
"You have NO RIGHT to question her position as Paramedic-in-Charge Mr. Hot shot Lieutenant." You spat in his face
He was about to open his mouth to say something else, but closes it when you give him the look of: 'oh I'm not done mister!'.
"She’s one of the GREATEST PICs I have ever worked with in my years of being in the Fire Department service. She’s one of the VERY few, that I am honored to be working with, one I come to know and love." You continue, "You question that position? And for what? The most beautiful Paramedic is beginning to question herself and what SHE wants? No, one should always be supportive. No matter what, you should leave my guy."
"Hate to tell you rookie, I'm not leaving yet," he tries to sound smug
"Oh you're leaving alright buddy," Hermann says, walking into the firehouse
He doesn't say anything else but give you one last look of disgust before leaving. You let out a breath of relief. Stella and Mackey applaud for you.
"You stood up for me?" Brett asks, looks at you, "Don't you hate me for hurting you?"
"Brett," you smile, "I never did hate you. I left so I could clear my head."
She smiles as she hugs you, "my god oh how I've missed you."
Your head drops down and rests on Brett's shoulder for your head to be cradled.
"I'm sorry Sylvs," you call her by her nickname, "You remember how I used to act... I didn't want that happening again."
"You could've just talked to me love," Brett whispers
After shift you head over to Molly's with Stella.
"How's your arm kid?" She asks
"Hurts but my sister stair to be careful, and then just have someone at med undo the stitches." You say
"That's good, that's good," Stella states, "You know, Brett was worried sick on that call this morning."
"Really?" You ask, leaning in towards Stella
"Speak of the Devil, there she is," Stella smiles, waving her over
"You look great Quinn," Brett smiles
"You look beautiful Sylvs," you smile back, sipping your whiskey
Stella looks at you, a look you know too well. That says, "go get your girl!"
You make fun if her look and then turn your attention to Brett.
"So Brett, how you been doing the last couple of days?" You ask
"Worrying about you," she sighs
You nearly choke on your drink as that though has never crossed your mind. You only thought that Sylvie had eyes for Grainger. Of all people, she worries about you.
“Really?” You ask, clearing your throat, “Why’s that?”
“you didn’t talk to me before heading off to your sister’s,” She says, “Also for telling Stella and Mackey to lie to me.”
“I didn’t want you to worry about me,” You say, “I wasn’t about to have my emotions get the best of me again.”
“You remember last time?” Sylvie asks
“Of course I do,” You say
“Do you want to get out of here?” Sylvie asks, “I know you don’t want that kind of thing to be talked about in public.”
“Sure,” You smile
You get a glance at Stella and she gives you a face of ‘go get your woman girl!’
Once the both of you reach your apartment, you follow Sylvie into hers.
“Remember that time I helped you calm down?” She finally asks
You nod, “I never did.”
“As soon as I touched you, you instantly calmed down,” She explains, “So, if what happened between us the other night affected your emotions, how come you didn’t tell me sooner?”
“Because I wasn’t sure if you were also into girls,” You confess, “You’re THE Sylvie Brett, one of the greatest people I’ve come to know and love in my life. And I’m just... Me... A paramedic with anger issues.”
“And I love you,” Sylvie confesses
Realizing what she had just said to you made her cheeks heat up. You look at her the same way. You gently press her against the doorframe to her room and place your lips along hers, building that inferno in your heart that burns for her.

Spencer awkwardly shifted his weight from one foot to the other, feeling uneasy about the fact that he stood there watching a girl sprawled out on the couch in his usual readingnook. It wasn’t that he wanted to watch her like some kind of creep, it was more that he had no idea what to do. He had found her librarycard over by the printer and planned to put it in the lost and found box, but he had found the owner still to still be in the library, much to his surprise. The library was typically scarce of people, especially on a Sundaynight. But she was for some reason still there, sprawled out in a position that could not be comfortable. She was kind of reverse compared to a usual position, her head hanging off the couch, her blonde locks brushing the rug below her. Her feet were dangling off the back of the sofa, feet crossed at the ankles. A book laid on her stomach, both her hands resting ontop of it. Even in her strange position, Spencer noticed that her eyes were closed. He wondered if she was sleeping, which was why he was reluctant to approach her.
But he did, feeling like he had to return the card. She didn’t seem to notice him and if she did, she didn’t say anything. He decided the best thing to do would be to leave her alone, so he put the card down at the table by the couch, next to the papercup which he assumed was hers as well.
“I swear to God,” the sound of her voice startled him, making him jump back and hit his leg on the edge of the table. “If you steal my coffee I’m gonna be furious.” Spencer just looked down at her, himself slightly crouched over to rub at his bruised calf. It didn’t really hurt too bad, but he assumed we would be sporting a nice bruise in a couple of days. He noticed that her voice was slightly slurred, as if she’d just woken up from a nap trying to find out about her whereabouts. Or if she was high or drunk. In Spencer’s opinion she seemed to be a reasonable candidate for all three.
“Oh, I, um, wasn’t trying to steal your coffee,” he stuttered out, staring at her with wide eyes. He felt like he’d just been caught with a hand in the cookiejar. “I, uh, I was just gonna, um, return your librarycard… which I found, um… by the printer.” He felt awkward, having no idea what to say. Perhaps it was the fact that she was pretty and Spencer had no idea how to talk to pretty girls outside of work. Actually scratch that; he had no idea how to talk to people outside of work.
The girl twisted her head and Spencer found himself cringing at the strained angle of her neck. It really could not be comfortable. She must have noticed her card laying on the table because she made “huh” noise, as if she was surprised by what she saw.
“Well, thanks,” she told him and Spencer was surprised by the lack of emotions in her voice. She didn’t sound tired like she had before, or angry or happy. It was just flat, like she uttered a gratitude she didn’t really mean. She reached one hand towards the table, almost falling off the couch in the progress, but she managed to get a hold of the cup, as if that was more important than putting her recently returned librarycard somewhere safe. “Coffee’s just really important to me, you know? God, I love me some coffee,” she said in a more relaxed and happy tone now. Spencer found himself nodding along as if he understood exactly what she was saying. He didn’t. He’d never cared for the taste, even though he drank plenty of cups a day. He’d always sprinkle it with so much cream and sugar that the bitter taste was almost completely masked. No, he’d never liked coffee, per say, but he drank it like a habit he couldn’t shake. So perhaps coffee was important to him after all?
The girl (Spencer supposed he should stop calling her that in his mind, her name was Leah, it was on her librarycard) took a sip of the papercup and he was amazed. Her head was still somewhat hanging off the couch and it should have been awkward and difficult to drink something upsidedown like that, but she did it with such ease; no coughing to suggest she’d swallowed wrong and not a single drop spilled. Spencer wondered for a second if she’d tricked him, pretending that she’d been drinking when the cup was in fact empty, but when she opened her mouth to let out a happy sigh he could smell the coffee off her breath. He couldn’t smell anything else coming off of her, so he quickly cast aside his earlier assumptions about her being under the influence. Maybe she was just… weird? And was he really that close to her that he could smell her breath? Yeah, he was. He was only about a foot away, still bent down to clutch his calf which didn’t hurt anymore. And the fact that she was laying down and he was standing just made him tower over her.
Awkwardly, he rose to his full height again and took a few smaller steps back. She watched him kind of like a hawk, her deep green eyes following him and if he wasn’t mistaken a smug smile tugged on the corner of lips. Or perhaps it was a frown. It was really hard to tell when she was upsidedown like that and his brain seemed to be malfunctioning. An IQ of 187 suddenly dropped to 60, as Emily had once said to him. And God, if that wasn’t an adequate description in that moment. Dr. Spencer Reid felt like an idiot.
“You can sit, you know,” the girl, no, her name was still Leah, told him. There was a twinkle in her eye so the feature playing on her lips was definitely an amused smile. Spencer felt a flush creep up his neck for some reason. He was really terrible at socializing.
“Oh no, that’s, uh, that’s okay. I don’t want to bother you,” he told her, his voice somehow managing to crack despite being barely above a whisper. He hated how pathetic he was acting. She looked at him for a moment, then took another sip of her coffee before disposing the cup on the table once more. It made a hollow sound when it hit the wood so Spencer suspected that it was empty now.
“I don’t think you could possibly ever bother me.” Her reply was simple enough and as fate would have it, Spencer was about to prove her wrong. With no reason as to why, he took a seat on the other couch, snuggling up into the corner and started reading one of the five books he’d selected a few minutes ago. He should have just taken the books home, but he always loved the library. It was something about the atmosphere, a change in scenery perhaps. Libraries were made for reading, right? And it felt like his territory and he didn’t want to be scared out of his secondary home by some pretty, but strange girl. That had to be the reason why he stayed, he didn’t even dare contemplate that perhaps he stayed because of Leah. Maybe there was a little part of him that wanted to stay in the same space as her for just a little longer, but there was no way he wanted to think that idea. If anything she was just… interesting.
He started reading his first book of choice, eyes roaming the pages and flipping them every few seconds. And with every other page he flipped, his eyes darted over to Leah, just to see what she was doing. She spent the first couple of minutes reading as well, being way slower than him when it came to turning the pages. Spencer estimated that she made it through about two and half set of pages before the book once more fell neglected onto her stomach.
“You know,” her voice broke through the silence about ten minutes later. Spencer glanced up from his book, meeting her eyes across the table. “If you’re gonna read that thing, the first page is usually a nice place to start,” she told him with that amused smile on her face.
“Oh, I am... reading,” he told her, feeling confused all of a sudden. He was reading, keep in mind that it was a little harder to concentrate because he felt the urge to cast her glances every now and then. Had she caught him looking? Was that what she meant?
“Dude!” She exclaimed, tucking her knees into her chest. “You’re just flipping the pages.” An easy laugh fell from her lips as she rolled over, suddenly sitting on her legs on the couch and Spencer wanted to point out that her shoes might stain the cushions, but he didn’t dare say anything. He just stared at her for a moment, still a little confused, but then it hit him.
“Oh, no. I just read… really fast,” he told her, proud of himself for being able to hold her glance for a second or so before he felt his cheeks heat up. He allowed himself to cast his eyes back to the book in his hands, his teeth coming down to worry at his bottom lip. Leah made that “Huh” sound again, but he didn’t dare look up at her.
“And you can actually understand what you’re reading?” She asked him, clearly intrigued. And Spencer couldn’t understand why. Why would someone be interested in understanding how his brain worked? Sure, some of his coworkers were also amazed the first time they’d met him, but they always grew bored and annoyed fairly quickly. Maybe it was his constant rambling, or the fact that he had a tendency to use complicated words because that was easier for him to understand. And for some reason he really didn’t want to scare Leah away with his nerdiness.
“Well, yes.” He decided to keep his answer short. He was still a little uncertain as to why this girl seemed so interested in him. Every single nerveending in his brain told him to stay cautious of her, having both seen and experienced a thing or two in his line of duty. But she just didn’t give off any bad vibes. She was strange, sure, but then so again so was he.
“God, wish that was me,” Leah told him, giving him an overly dramatic sigh. “I’m terrible at reading.” She continued, not saying anything else and for once Spencer understood the social concept of her wanting to make conversation. She was hinting at him to not let the conversation die. He still wasn’t entirely certain as to why.
“You actually can’t be terrible at reading,” he told her, feeling the urge to correct her. He had a whole monologue planned out in his head, about how reading is actually about the brain trying to process words and putting them into context, and that your brain’s ability to work fast determines how fast you can read. He never got the chance to go one of his famous rambles because Leah let out a dark laugh, almost sounding selfdeprecating.
“Yeah, well, I still suck,” she said, leaving no room for argument. Spencer felt a little taken back by that, mostly used to people accepting his facts or simply ignore them, not outright deny them. For her it was a personal fact, her own subjective opinion, but still. “I can’t concentrate, you know? I mean, I can read, sure, but I only get a few pages in and then I just lose it. I dunno. I’ve just never been much of a reader, at least not novels and stuff. I mean, news articles and stuff like that is fine, but actually finishing a book in one sitting? No way. I just get tired and unfocused and fidgety.” Her rambling brought a smile to his face and he didn’t even realize that he’d looked up at her again before she leaned over to grab her cup once again. “Hence the coffee.” She raised the cup in a sort of salut before tipping it back, even shaking the little container as if to get every last, little drop that was in there.
“Hence the coffee,” Spencer mumbled to himself, for no reason really. Sometimes he just did that, mumbled things to himself.
“Well, out of coffee,” Leah said, her bottom lip sticking a little in, dare he say it, the most adorable pout he’d possibly ever seen. Her mood seemed to shift so fast that it almost gave Spencer a whiplash. He wasn’t sure if it was intentional or if she was just teasing him, but it still peaked his interest in her. “So, stranger!” Leah announced, untangling her legs from underneath her. She stood up and stretched out a little. Spencer could hear a few of her joints popping as she did so.
“Actually, my name is Spencer,” he told her, his voice barely above a whisper. He honestly had no idea why he was telling her that. Why did he? She didn’t know him, probably had no interest in getting to know him other than having a small talk which social cues demanded in a situation like this.
“Well, Spencer…” she drew his name out, as if testing how it sounded on her lips. “Do you wanna go across the street and grab another coffee with me?” Her question, as innocent as it may be, made him freeze up. Why was she asking him? Out of kindness? Did she want to get to know him better? Was she, oh dear God, asking him out? No, she couldn’t possibly be. They’d talked about coffee, hers was empty and she probably felt obligated to ask if he wanted one as well.
“Coffee at,” he cast a quick glance down at his watch. “Nine-thrity?” He asked her.
“Yeah, why not?” She shrugged her shoulders at the same time she bent down to collect the bookbag tucked away on the floor by the couch she’d previously been occupying. For the first time he noticed her touching the librarycard which had started this strange evening, grabbing it off the table and slipping into the bag, seemingly careless as to where it went.
“Uh, sure,” Spencer found himself replying before he even realized it. Leah looked back at him, a look of pleasant surprise clouding her features. Her lips curved upwards to a grin.
“Great!” She told him. “My treat. Since you found my card and all. And since I obviously ruined your night.” Spencer found himself smiling at that.
“Oh, you didn't ruin my night. I didn’t have anything planned anyway.” He had no idea why his words flooded out of his mouth so easily now. Perhaps it was the fact that he was correcting her statement, something he never had problems with, or maybe he was just warming up to her quicker than most people.
She looked like she was about to say something when a phone suddenly started ringing. Spencer was about to reach out for his, afraid it might be Hotch calling with another case, but Leah had already fished out hers. A grimace crossed her face and for some reason Spencer knew it was something that was going to put a stop to their coffeerun.
“Work.” Was all Leah said and she turned her phone around so that Spencer could see the display. He didn’t even get to think about how strange that was, showing your phone to someone you’d just met. He could only chuckle at the name of the caller.
“You call your boss ‘Badass Boss Bitch’?” He asked her, finding that highly amusing for some reason.
“Well, yeah. I mean, she’s badass and my boss and kind of bitch sometimes.” Leah laughed as finished gathering her stuff. She still hadn’t made any move to actually answer the phone. “Anyway, so… Raincheck on that coffee?” She asked him, already heading in the direction of the door. Spencer was so shocked by the turn of events he didn’t even know what to do. Was he supposed to chase her out the door? Follow her while she spoke to her boss? Or would she come back when she’d ended the call?
“Uh, sure,” was all he could say, feeling that earlier awkwardness settle in again. She had already disappeared out of sight, the aisles of books blocking his path of view. But he could hear her footsteps heading for the door.
“Great! See you,” she called out, leaving behind no clue as how they’d see each other again. Just as the door to the library opened he could hear her answer the phone with a faint “Yeah, hello?” And that was it. Suddenly he was left alone, in his usual nook in the library with four books that were yet to be read. And he had no idea why he felt so lonely. A quiet Sundaynight at the library was usually the best he could hope for. Now he felt strangely… sad about it. Maybe it was just the fact that no one usually paid any attention to him while he was in the library. He couldn’t even remember the last time he’d spoken to someone in there who wasn’t one of the librarians who only worked during the day. Probably never. Well, Spencer had an eidetic memory, so it was definitely never. Truth be told, Spencer hardly ever spoke to people outside of work. He rarely started conversations with people in his free time. It was always the exchange in pleasantries with the clerks at the grocerystore, or thanking the deliverymen who had to walk up the four flights of stairs whenever he was too tired to cook himself dinner (which was most nights, as a matter of fact) or other people he felt obligated to talk to. He rarely ever had a real conversation with anyone just because he wanted to.
Perhaps that’s why he missed Leah’s strange persona. He wondered if he’d ever see her again. He hadn’t seen her around the library before and she did say she wasn’t much of a reader, so bumping into her there seemed unlikely. She had mentioned a coffeeshop across the street, but he didn’t even know if that was a place she usually hangs out at or if it was just her go to now because it was close. He didn’t know anything about her, really. Except for a name. He could get Garcia to run her through the internet, but that would just be creepy. No, he definitely couldn’t do that. He’d just have to face the fact that he’d probably never see her again.
So, Spencer decided not to think too much about Leah, instead turning back to his book. He finished it and then another and then another. By the time he’d finished all of them it was closer to 10:15 so he decided to head home. Returning the books to their usual spots, he took a minute to check his phone. Noticing no new messages from Hotch, he headed out into the crisp air. It was mid April so the nights were still cool even though the temperatures during the day were climbing. He’d always liked the spring; snow melting, flowers blooming, the days getting longer.
It had been a long day for Spencer. He’d spent the majority of it finishing up files on closed cases, rereading some coldcases without actually getting a new point of view, for once making himself a decent homecooked meal, reorganizing the books in his bookshelf at home, going to the library and meeting Leah… Yeah, it had been a good day, but also a long one and Spencer couldn’t wait to get home to his empty bed, get a good night's rest before returning to the office the next morning.
In fact, Spencer was so consumed by the idea that he didn’t even register the unmistakable sound of a gun going off until he felt the burning pain in his lower abdomen.

Please.
