There’s a part in the AU that depicts Yusuke painting the sky for Ann after Shiho goes to The Country, and Ren, seeing that same sky, writes a song called “Into the Crystalline Blue.” Yusuke soon gets suspended from painting the sky, but when he goes to his first concert with Ren as the headliner, Into The Crystalline Blue is the first song he ever hears Ren perform. I really like how connected the thieves still are in this AU, even if it seems a little more convoluted because they can’t just All Be Friends like in P5, but they all still find their ways back to each other in the end, one way or another...

this recipe is third generation, and after several attempts to 'breed' a dark crystalline glaze, I stumbled on this;

this would be a good example of cobalt and nickel competing for crystal coloration. it's a greener hue in person, but with so much refraction going on, photographing it has been difficult. another stable glaze, in terms of crazing and keeping up with the porcelain.

when soaked in acid to leach excess oxides;

quite different!

trying to think of a good name for this result...

and still trying to get a fully deep/dark crystalline glaze. already have some ideas from this result though, testing that out next firing!

last post about many things but as a general example I feel that about my students.

#i love them. my anger comes from the disappointments of love and the reality of exhaustion #but if you think I’m not often full of anger at how they treat me #idk what to tell you #and people can talk to me until they’re blue in the face about how they’re teenagers and I’m the adult and they’re going through a lot #and what do I expect #and you know what it’s all TRUE. it’s all true #but that doesn’t mean that on the deepest emotional level I don’t feel pure crystalline anger when they mistreat me #or when they mistreat the books #I am learning how to handle that anger #but it’s there #yesterday I was so broken and exhausted I just taught class from a shutdown place #wouldn’t make eye contact. spoke very quietly. cried in the back of the classroom during moments #and part of it felt manipulative and part of me knew that I had nothing else to give them #if I’m at the point where my options are unloosing my anger or sadness on them in active warfare fashion #or protecting myself by wrapping myself up in mannerisms that clearly indicate I don’t have it in me anymore to deal with their bad behavior #i have to choose the latter #they all shut up they all did work so I know it was good #the thing that was a gift about it was the two girls who came up to me afterwards because they knew I was having a hard time #and it was two girls I’d been compassionate to when they were having a hard time #and this week has just been a good reminder of the importance of compassion and gentleness #I know that they will forget (collectively) and they will keep being what they are (annoying and immature)#but I need those moments where they see my humanity #or I can’t do this job #been wondering all week if I can actually do this job anyway #but I know that’s monkey chatter/nonsense #no easy way to do something that’s difficult you know?#everybody knows I’m fragile right now. which is both a humiliation and a gift #but I don’t really know any other way to move through space except by being honest at least somewhat about where I’m at #if people don’t give me the support I need I will crack so I can’t hide when I need it

Summary

In modern days, pollution is devastating everything, but there is a plan: to send hundreds of people to sleep in capsules until those outside build a better future, of course this plan is only for individuals and families who have privileged access, one of these families is the Algirdons.

Marek does not want to enter these capsules but he is forced, he ends up waking up in a more distant future than he expected, centuries have passed. He has woken up in an era in which pollution is more than controlled, it does not exist. Everything is clean and healthy.

He is introduced to Solya, his temporary guide and host to welcome him in this new era, he explains him that this is a future where everyone strives to be the better version of themselves. In this era, at birth an advanced technology calculates how is the healthiest version of your body and mind and how to achieve it through out your life, there is not a standard for this "perfect body", the path you should take to be the best version of yourself depends, of course, of you. Everyone is perfect if they follows this, everything is in balance, animals and plants live wholly, technology and nature are companions, allies for the great well-being of all.

It's a clean future.

But Marek is afraid, technology is so advanced he doesn't know what's real and what's not, his host acts in such a way that Marek thinks he could be fake, but he will learn how life is now, accompanied by his family and with the help of his host Solya, a very intriguing individual, someone for whom this wonderful world has been like this since he was aware.

it's the one that broke and haphazardly repaired while loading into the first bisque firing! ha!

the glaze turned out so wonderfully. gorgeous macro and micro crystals in envious shades of greens, yellows, blues and all the pond scum to pass around!
