A sunny day when your father isn't home is always bound to be a good day. Normally when he's home, he prefers when everyone was always dressed nicely, always in dresses or button ups. So when he leaves to visit the other kingdoms of Olympia, you take advantage walking around in sweats and shirts with no bras.
Zeus was currently in the Aphrodite kingdom, talking love and weddings and whatnot, you didn't really know, nor did you really care. It's been about two weeks of wedding talk, or two weeks since the day you got engaged. It's been sickening, you've had to sit through three dinners with Luke, trying your best not to throw something across the table every time he makes an 'assface' type of comment. Anyways, Zeus finally letting you out of sight may have been a blessing.
After snaking through your closet, you pulled some little shorts and a bikini. By the garden out behind your castle, there's a gazebo with a glass roof and lawn chairs, perfect for sunbathing.
As you skipped down the hallways, you waved off all your maids, and butlers and servants. Finally you pushed through the doors to the garden that looked straight from a painting. While walking down, you were brushing your hand along the bushes and hedges, occasionally picking and plucking some flowers and putting one in your hair.
Making it to the gazebo, you took off your shorts and laid down. The sound of the leaves and frogs could've made you fall asleep. Except, you were interrupted.
"Excuse me? Princess Y/N," it was your favorite maid, Margaret.
"Yes Margaret, is something wrong," you asked without opening your eyes.
"You have a visitor," her voice sounded somewhat nervous, and you could only guess who it was.
"If its my father, please tell him what I do in my free time is my business and my business alone."
"You gotta stop thinking I'm your dad," your eyes shot open. "It's getting a little concerning."
You looked at him, standing in front of you with the sun coating his skin in a nice golden light. He gave you a smug look, with that jagged scar stretched out on his face.
"What're you doing here," you asked as you leaned up in your seat. "Go home."
"That's no way to speak to your future husband, now is it?"
You sat fully up, crossing your arms and throwing one leg over the other, while looking up at him with an unpleasant expression. "I asked you a question."
"When did you grow to be so feisty?"
"When did you grow up to be such an ass-"
"I'm going back now," Margaret said nervously. "Bye princess."
She quickly scurried off back from where she came from. You scowled, "your scaring the help away Castellan."
"Me? You're the one with a foul mouth. What was it you said, 'that it was unbecoming of a princess?' Or is that only when daddy dearest is around?"
"Gods forbid I do something alone."
"You know, sooner than you think I'll be here for you more," you raised your brow. "One week."
You stood up, "What does 'one week' mean?"
"It means in one week I'll see you in your long white dress walking down the aisle, all for me."
Your eyes widened, "One week? Why is he rushing things??"
"Who cares," he laughed. "Personally, I can not wait."
You weren't ready for marriage. Not only were you too young, but too sober to get through a wedding with Luke. You yelled in frustration while holding your head in your hands. When you looked back up, you saw Luke's hair standing up on its self. Before freaking out, you quickly grabbed onto Luke and pulled him behind you, under the roof of the gazebo. Then a giant bolt of lightning, with a width twice the size of a telephone pole, zapped the ground where he was just standing.
"Holy.." he whispered.
"I meant full offense by the way," you panted, despite it being accidental, it took more out of you then you thought.
"Wow, almost worked yourself to death trying to kill me?"
You rolled your eyes and pushed him off as he tried catching you. When you did so, you wobbled a little. "I'm fine."
You stumbled back to your chair to grab your shorts and head back home, nearly tripping over yourself. "Lemme help you."
"I told you, I'm-" you started coughing. "I'm fine."
"Clearly," you were struggling to stay on your feet. "C'mon."
You didn't have the energy to protest as he picked you up bridal style and carried you back to the house. You tried to push him away with no luck, he really was as strong as he looked. He kept walking till he made it to the kitchen, sitting you down on top of a counter.
"S'cold in here," you shivered, rubbing your hands on whatever they could reach to create whatever warmth possible. Luke was looking inside a fridge for a bottle of water, tossing it to you.
You barely caught it and took a sip, "course your cold, you got almost nothing on."
You paid no attention to him looking you up and down as you chugged the water, some dripping from the sides of your mouth and sliding down your body. You tossed the now empty bottle aside and hopped off the counter, grabbing your shorts and walking out.
"Stop following me."
"I'm not following you, I'm just walking in the same direction," he mused.
"Find another direction, I'm going to take a shower."
"Come on wifey, let's keep the same direction," you glared at him, trying not to react at the ridiculous nickname. "You thought it was funny you can admit it."
You smacked him on the arm with your shorts, "As if."
"You know, I remember when we were younger, and your dad forced you to wear those god awful swimsuits, the long sleeves and shorts. Remember those days?"
"Gods, how could I forget," you grumbled. "The tan lines those suits would give me were outrageous."
You both chuckled before you remembered something, "hey. Let's not forget you also had a swim shirt. And a bucket hat, with the white strips on sun screen on your face."
"Okay okay we can calm down now."
"Hey, you started it, I just finished it," you threw your hands up, and Luke just rolled his eyes. You guys continued walked as you made it to your bedroom. "I was serious, I do need to take a shower now."
"Hey, we used to take baths together when we were kids, and we were engaged then too, whats so different now?"
"I'm gonna pretend you didn't just ask that," you said as you went through your drawers looking for some clean clothes.
"Nothings different, now we're just taller," he shrugged.
"You want to see me naked so bad it's sickening," you joked as you turned back around and looked at Luke. He was laid back on your bed with his arms behind his head as he just stared at you. When his short sleeves are moving up and struggling to fit against his biceps, it makes you forget what a villainous 15 year old he was. "Not even gonna deny it?"
"Nope" he cheered. "And don't act so innocent, like I didn't just catch you checking me out, princess."
"I don't know what your talking about."
"I can see it in your eyes, what you want."
"What're you talking about," you walked up, standing in front of him.
"You act like you hate me, but I don't think you really do," he said as he sat up on your bed.
"And what makes you say that," you asked as you leaned down, hands on his knees while your cleavage was popping out of your bathing suit into his face.
"Intuition?"
You gave a close-eyed smile as you smacked him upside the head, "Your intuition can eat my ass, get your head out of the gutter."
You laughed as you walked off toward your bathroom. "Your such a tease, aren't you princess?"
"Remember," you started as you leaned against the bathroom doorframe, "As I am royalty, its disrespectful to oh so brazenly stay in my bedroom, out of wedlock no less, with no supervision. What would the people say?"
"The people? Or your father, who isn't even here," he questioned. "How would he feel if he saw the clothes you hide away in your closet? Is there anything else you'd be willing to show?"
"I have my secrets," you said as you started untie your top as you shut the door before anything was revealed. You pressed your ear against the door and rustling from the other side. After a moment of rapid knocking while tying your top back, you opened the door. "Need something?"
"To shower, I'm filthy," Luke said as he walked passed you into the bathroom.
"Only thing filthy is your brain if you think I'm getting in that shower with you," you watched as he turned the shower on and take his shirt off.
"I think the filthiest thing in this room is the way you can't keep your eyes of me."
"I'm not checking you out, I'm just shocked by your sheer audacity."
"Princess, what are you, scared? Scared to shower with your fiancé?"
"Scared? Excuse me," you raised your eyebrow. "What makes you think I would ever be scared right now?"
"I think you won't be able to resist me and that aggravates you."
"Screw you," you started undoing your bathing suit and walking into the shower. Luke stood there with both eyebrows raised. "You coming in? Or are you the one with no self-control?"
"Yeah we'll see about that," he finished undressing and hopped into the shower behind you. You did your best to pay him little to no attention, but it was difficult. You kept yourself faced away, though either side of you, Luke didn't mind.
To be fair, you did want to turn around, but you stayed strong. Hard, I know. You minded your business as you shampooed your hair. "You missed a spot."
"No I didn't."
"Yeah you did," he ran his hand through your hair, softly massaging your scalp. "Right there."
It felt nice, though you weren't gonna say that. "What're you doing?"
"Washing your hair," he tightened his grip on your hair, slowly pulling your head back to look at him. "What're you thinking? Something dirty?"
"You speak to me much too freely, have you no respect," you turned completely as you pointed your finger into his chest, making sure you keep eye contact.
"Of course I do, I plan to treat you with nothing but the upmost respect," he grabbed your finger, interlocking his hand in yours, while his words were laced with arrogance.
"You drown in your over-confidence, I hope you know. And we both know you came in here thinking you were going to get lucky, didn't you?"
"Ah so you see, I'm already lucky to be in here," he smiled.
"Oh Luke, flattery gets you no where."
"You could always let it get me somewhere."
"Why should I, did your little Aphrodite princess let you get lucky?"
"Wouldn't you like to know what we've done," he leaned down into your face.
"As you're your future wife, don't you think I'm entitled to know your past," you raised your brow at him. "Why, do you think she'd be better than anything I'd be able to do?"
"What makes you think I slept with her?"
"Well.. did you," you quickly asked, upset with how interested you sounded.
"Your cute when your jealous," he moved his hand that was still in your hair down to your jaw, making sure you were looking up at him.
"I'm not jealous, what is there to be jealous of?"
"So you wouldn't care if I had sex with her? You wouldn't care about being not being my first?"
You stayed silent. "Though of course, as my future wife, you are entitled to all that information. All the details." He kept talking and you started getting upset. "What was it you wanted to know? How long it lasted, how many times we had sex, how many different positions we did?"
"Shut. up," you stared into his chest, but he just pulled your face back up to look at him.
"What was that?"
"I told you to shut up," you moved his hands and let go of him as you walked out the shower, grabbing a towel and covering yourself. You hated the way that crush from when you were 14 still lingered, even more when he talks about the girl he cheated with. It could've been you who... yeah. You moved so you were no longer in his sight as you dried off.
"I never did," he called out. You contemplated ignoring him.
"Did what."
"Her," he paused. "I never did her."
That made you weirdly happy, but you didn't let it show. "That's all I wanted to know."
"You coming back in?"
"No I don't think so, I'm feeling squeaky clean," you walked past the shower with your towel wrapped around your body as you made your way to the door. "But if you still feeling filthy, stay as long as you need."
You laughed and shut the door behind you, Lukes eyes lingering as you did so. This was going to be fun.

Cinn
Ellie pulled you in close, she could smell the vanilla perfume she grew to love over the years, basically radiating off of you. Your bodies were close, making out on top of her bed, she was acting all cool and taking the lead, but mentally she was panicking.
She was just about to lay you down, only for you to push her off, “Ellie..” you said breathily, causing her heart to speed up even more. “Yeah..” Ellie replied, her eyes in a daze, “Ellie!” Your once sweet voice turned cold.
“Ellie!! Get ya ass up!”
Why did your voice change into Jesse’s ?
“Jesse grab the blanket!”
Dina?
With a tug Ellie was dragged onto her bedroom floor, causing her to grunt, looking up to see her two asshole best friends grinning down at her. “What the fuck!” She said, slapping the floor, and getting up irritated.
“Having another wet dream on prissy?” Jesse chuckles, watching Ellie glare at him, Dina slapped her boyfriends chest and motioned him to get out, “fine fine.. I’ll let you ladies get ready.” He replied sarcastically, closing Ellie’s bed room door close.
“We’re gonna be late hurry up.” Dina replied, grabbing some pants and throwing it to Ellie, “shit-“ Ellie hurriedly changed as Dina, being the mom friend, was putting all the books that were flung out onto Ellie’s floor, back into her backpack.
When finally, they had gotten Ellie ready for school they rushed out to her beat up old truck Joel had gifted her for her sixteenth birthday. However before they could enter, Ellie’s eyes were caught in front of her, it was you. As per usual, you had the coolest style, and your smile was so bright and pretty, god Ellie could stare at you all day.
You smiled as you talked on the phone, completely oblivious to the losers that were watching you, Ellie wanted to go up to you, introduce herself to you, maybe invite you to one of her bands small concerts she plays.
But
That was never gonna happen.
A loud shriek of tires came storming in, a silver car parked right in front of your house.
“Damn, seems like Jordan got a new car.” Dina replied, watching in awe, as you rushed to the passenger seat, kissing your asshole boyfriend. Ellie sighed, her shoulders grew heavy and glared as Jordan drove you away from her.
“Give it up.” Jesse placed his hand on her shoulder, “you got no chance.” He teased, having that annoying smug look on his face. “Shut up.” Ellie slapped his hand away, finally getting into her truck and driving them to school.
“I’m just saying. This delusion you have that you and prissy pants are gonna ever date is… pathetic at this point.” Jesse said, causing an eye roll from Dina, ever since the two of them found out about Ellie’s long term (not so) secret crush on you, it was never ending.
“Leave her alone Jesse, I think it’s cute.” Dina said, throwing an arm over Ellie’s shoulder, the hallways were packed, the three friends were struggling to reach to their lockers. “Aww look!” Dina pointed to a big flyer, with big bold letters.
FALL DANCE!! GET YOUR TICKETS AT THE MAIN OFFICE!!
“How many of these dances does this school have to spit out?” Jesse said, crossing his arms, Dina scoffed and slapped his arm, “as much as they want, and you!” She pointed at him with a big smile, “will take me to each and everyone of them.” Jesse smiled and wrapped his arm around Dina, placing a kiss onto her lips.
“Don’t make me puke.” Ellie complained, causing Dina to laugh and made her way to her angry best friend, who was stuffing old papers into her locker. “Don’t be salty that you are single and alone!” Dina poked Ellie’s freckled cheek, causing her to playfully slap her hand away, “I have you know I got loads of chicks lining up for me, actually.” Ellie joked, causing Jesse to laugh, “Lining up to say you need to take a damn shower, i could make popcorn with the fucking oil that’s covering your hair.” Jesse said, causing both of the dick heads to laugh.
“Fuck you.” Ellie said, unable to hide the smile that was forming onto her face.
This was the complete norm, Jesse and Dina making out, Ellie says something snarky, and them dragging her, however what was completely out of the damn norm was you. Ellie’s eyes had caught you glancing to her and her giggly friends, she was sure you were smiling too but she was unable to tell because the moment she caught you staring, you had turned your head back to Jordan, who was talking about nonsense.
The school day was a complete bore, Ellie waited for her favorite class to come, P.E, she was the best in that class, and she made sure to show off her muscles, especially since you were in her class. You stood in the corner of the room, talking to one of your friends, Ellie was basically almost drooling over you. The way the sports shorts you wore just hugged you, was…
“Williams! Stop drooling and kick the damn ball.”
Her head snapped to the sound of her couches voice, and with ease she kicked the ball into the net, the goalie not able to catch it in time. Ellie turned her head back to you, and to her amazement you were watching her every move, “…so is Jordan taking you to the dance?” your friend broke the on going eye contact between you and Ellie, causing Ellie to groan internally.
Once the girls were in the locker room, Ellie was busy changing, thinking of whether or not Joel was gonna be home late, and if she was gonna order Chinese or some pizza, her never ending thoughts of food came to an all time crash when she felt a tap on her exposed shoulder.
Turning, Ellie was mid way putting on her shirt when she almost threw herself to the lockers, there you were standing in front of her. “Hey.” You said with a giant blush on your cute face, Ellie quickly put on her t-shirt, and stared at you with wide eyes, “uh- hey.” Was all she could choke out, was she dreaming again?
“I wanted to say that you are really good at soccer, my friend Alexis is looking for a new player. Wanna try out for the team Ellie?”
Ellie stood there, her eyes still widened, and her mouth agape, “you know my name?” She said stupidly, causing you to giggle, “Ellie-“ god she wanted to hear you say her name for years, “we’ve been in like, the same school since pre-K.” She quickly got ahold of herself, “oh yeah! Yup- uh huh! I forgot…” you cocked your head to the side and looked at her confused, however you were still smiling at her.
“So what do you say?” Ellie licked her lips, and swallowed the nervous spit that was building up in her throat, “ah.. I don’t know…” and by the grace of god, you grabbed her hand, “please! I’m always forced to go to those games, and I usually don’t complain- but Alexis now has a boyfriend and I’m stupidly sitting by myself, and I think it would be cool to see a familiar face.” You pleaded, staring at her with those big Bambi eyes of yours.
“Oh-okay! Sure yeah. I’ll try out.” Ellie stuttered out, her eyes glued to the hand that was being held, you had her wrapped around your finger. You smiled and when you realized you were still holding her hand, you awkwardly dropped it. “So, uh- hopefully I see you at the games.” You said, and Ellie just nodded her head like a dork, luckily for her, you found it cute.
The doors of the school opened and Ellie was beaming, and walking with her friends, “she held my hand! She knew my name.” She exclaimed to Jesse and Dina, who followed her to her truck. “Dina, I think she’s finally gone mad.” Jesse mumbled, Dina on the other hand was excited for Ellie, they were just about to enter the truck when a silver car backed into it.
“What the hell!” Ellie exclaimed, closing her door and going to expect, “don’t even worry about it.” Jacob chuckled, Ellie glared at him and noticed you sitting in the front, “that trucks a piece of crap, one little dent ain’t gonna change a thing.” He spat with a chuckle, Jesse was about to throw his book bag to throw hands, Dina catching him in the process.
“You don’t have to be such a dick Jacob!” You yelled, causing your boyfriend to turn to you with a look of shock. “Hey, it’s just the truth babe! That truck is on its last leg, a little dent- hey where are you going?” Jacob asked, watching you open the door with anger and slamming it, “I’m sick of you being a total ass to everyone Jacob! Sick. Of. It!” You crossed your arms, totally ignoring the three losers watching the scene.
“And I’m sick of you being a total fucking prude, but you don’t see me whining about it.” He spat, “we’re done!” You yelled, turning on your heel and storming off, “fine by me.” Jacob yelled, driving away, not even caring about the huge dent he had made to Ellie’s car. Ellie was left confused but quickly shook the feeling off and raced after you, “hey.. hey!” She called out to you, causing you to turn back.
“I’m so sorry Ellie, I’ll make sure he’ll pay you back- I’ll talk to his parents-“ Ellie cut you off with a laugh, “it’s fine. I don’t need Jacob’s money, I’ll just fix it myself. Hey- I’ll drive you home.” You’re tense body was now relaxed, smiling at Ellie, you whispered a sweet thank you and followed her back.
The car ride was a bit awkward, Dina and Jesse sitting in the back watching the two of you talking about randomness, “uh-hey Ellie?” Dina cut the conversation, “you can drop Jesse and I at the diner, he said he’s buying me a burger.” Jesse looked at his girlfriend confused, “I never- OOF!” Dina nudged his side, causing him to groan in pain, “okay?” Ellie chuckled, pulling the car into the diner.
You all exchanged your goodbyes and Ellie was back in the road, “so.. I’m sorry about Jacob.” Ellie said, almost cringing at the assholes name, “nah I’m sorry, he’s always nice when he’s with me, but when he’s around everyone else he’s just…”
“A total asshole?” Ellie finished her sentence with a smirk, “yeah.” You giggled, Ellie was too busy to notice the longing look you were giving her, in fact you always looked at her this way, but she didn’t know about it. “I heard about you and Cat…” you picked at your nails, Ellie almost swerved her truck into the wrong lane.
“Oh- yeah..” Ellie turned to face you, the truck slowing down and it was finally pulling into Ellie’s drive way, “Guess we were both stuck dating assholes huh?” Ellie turned off the truck and smiled at you, you couldn’t help but notice the red that was forming in the girls cheek, “so.. I’ll see you around?” You asked, hoping that Ellie would agree.
Which she did.
In fact, Ellie would wake up early, she would even shower regularly (gross), Dina and Jesse were always in shock whenever they were just about to storm into the house to wake her up, all to find Ellie all ready to go. You on the other hand would do your regular morning routine, except instead of Jacob driving you to school, Ellie did.
In such a short time, you had become close to Ellie, Dina, and even Jesse. The four of you would hangout even on weekends, going to the diner they usually would go, or just going to the mall and acting like stupid teenagers, Jesse finally stopped calling you that god awful nickname he came up with in the fourth grade.
“Hey, we’re gonna head off.” Dina said as she got out of Ellie’s bed who was in the middle between you and her, “Yeah- Dina says I have to help her look for a new tux, even though I have like two already.” Jesse said, getting up from the floor. “You can’t wear those old things at this new dance.” Dina said waving a goodbye to Ellie and you.
As they left, Ellie could feel her heart quicken, the horror movie that was playing was the only thing that could be heard coming from Ellie’s room. “So..” Ellie turned her head to look at you, “so..” she responded more awkwardly, drumming her fingers on her jeans.
“Dina and Jesse are cute together, nice that he’s taking her to the dances even though he hates them.” You tried to get more comfortable, but your nerves were eating you up. “It’s actually pretty funny to see.” Ellie said, chucking at the memory of Jesse looking annoyed as he showed Ellie his tux, all to put a smile on when Dina arrived.
“I didn’t see you take Cat last year.” You broke the silence once again, Ellie watched as you bit your lip, eyes glued to the tv, “yeah- it wasn’t our thing.” That made you look at her, “what if you were dating someone who’s thing was that, would you be like Jesse and take her?” Ellie felt blood rush to her face, not knowing what you were trying to say.
“Yeah… if I really liked her I would..” Ellie’s eyes locked onto yours, “would you wanna.. go with me?” The words that left your mouth almost made Ellie wanna combust, “me??” She said, her voice cracking a bit, “yeah.. I mean you don’t have to go with me- I mean it’s fine.” Ellie shook her head, “No!” She shouted causing you to look at her shocked, “no… as in, no I don’t want you to think that- I would love to go with you.”
You smiled, “really!” You shouted just as hard as Ellie did, causing her to laugh, “I mean- I’ve been wanting to ask you for weeks but… I was afraid you’d say no.” You said as you blushed, looking down at the bed, and to where Ellie’s hand laid. “Why would I say no?” Was all Ellie could whisper out, you shook your head, “I just thought… that you didn’t like me that way.”
Was this real?
Were you trying to confess???
Some gods out there in the universe must have finally given in and decided to help out Ellie a bit, because the confidence she somehow brewed up would shock her in a few hours, that would keep her up the whole night.
Ellie softly grabbed your chin to make you look at her, she was so close that she could feel your breathing, “I liked you for a long time actually.” You felt heat rush up to your face, Ellie’s hand that held your chin softly moved to hold your cheek, caressing it softly, “can I kiss you?” She asked, you yourself wanted to scream, wanted to run laps in her room, but instead you nodded with a smile, “yeah.” And with a swift motion, Ellie’s lips connected with yours.
“And I don’t know how the fuck it happened.. but it happened Jess!” Ellie said pacing around the room, Jesse on the other end of the phone call was rolling his eyes, “and!!” He repeated for the hundredth time, “and we made out for a bit, then we talked about how we liked each other… and then she had to go but!!” Ellie stopped her pacing and held up a finger, as if Jesse could see her.
“She kissed me on the way out! And Joel saw!” Jesse chuckled at his best friend who was freaking out, “what am I gonna wear to the dance?” Ellie felt her world crumble, she didn’t own anything fancy, “hey I’ll tell Dina to let you borrow a pretty dress and some fancy heels.” Ellie groaned as Jesse chuckled at his own joke, “be serious.” Ellie said, passing her hand through her washed hair.
“Don’t worry about it- I got you.” Jesse said, making Ellie nod her head, trying to shake off her worries, “yeah! Everything’s cool, got the girl I wanted, going to the dance with her and I kissed her… what could go wrong?”
Nothing could go wrong!
That is until soccer tryouts.
Ellie was killing it, making sure to give you a simple nod or wave, while you blushed sitting on the bleachers watching. The tryouts were going well, and the other girls knew that Ellie was gonna be the one to get the spot, the day was going by smoothly, until you heard a familiar voice.
“Hey! Williams!” You turned to see an angry Jacob, stomping his way towards Ellie, “heard you’ve been hanging out with my girl.” He stated, causing the other girls to back away from her, you had rushed your way down the bleachers afraid of what was about to happen.
“I’m not your girl anymore Jacob.” You said, but Jacob ignored you, and pushed Ellie, “what just cause I backed up on your pile of trash you call a car, you wanna take my girl?” Ellie pushed him back, causing the both of them to throw punches at each other.
Now Ellie wasn’t weak, she held her own, but compared to Jacob, she was no match, so eventually he had climbed over her and started punching her relentlessly. “STOP !JACOB!!GET OFF OF HER!” You screamed, Jacob’s friends holding you back, while the coaches struggled to get him off, “did you really think you had a chance with her?” Jacob taunted, “She was only trying to make me jealous!” He yelled giving Ellie a final blow.
Finally they grabbed Jacob and pushed him off, Ellie laid on the grass all bloody up, “Ellie! Oh my god.” You were finally released and ran up to her, only for her to get up angrily and spit out her bloody saliva. You held a hand to your mouth, “Ellie..” you reached for her, only for her to slap your hand away from her, without even looking at you she walked away, ignoring the calls from the coach.
Ellie stormed into her house, surprising Joel who was busy making their dinner, “El’s?” He wiped his hands with a rag and watched as his daughter run up to her room, in a fit of rage she slammed the door. How could she be so stupid? Of course you didn’t actually want her, and yet she allowed herself to be stupid enough to fall for your tricks.
“Ellie?” A knock came from the door, Joel’s worried voice came from the other side, “just leave me alone Joel.” Was all she can say, trying to not sound like she was on the verge of crying. After a while Joel had decided to give her some space, and the anger that was filling the poor girl had began to cool down, and the anger turned into sadness.
Dina and Jesse both tried to visit Ellie, who didn’t bother to open the door, she was too ashamed to even face them, too embarrassed and didn’t wanna hear Jesse’s jokes about how he was right all along, although he was the most worried for her.
You called and texted her, but she didn’t bother to open her phone, instead she stayed inside the whole weekend, she cleaned up the wounds and stared at herself in the mirror. Her eye was getting better although the bruises and cuts on her face was what pissed her off the most, “are you gonna talk about it?” Joel asked, putting her Sunday dinner on the table.
“No.” Was all Ellie said, as she ate the food in front of her, “well.. that’s fine, because I already know.” Ellie glared at her father, who was busy salting his food, “Dina told me.” He stated, Ellie cussed under her breath, “all I know is… maybe you should talk to her.” Ellie scoffed, “talk to her? Now why would I do that?” Joel shook his head, “maybe, I don’t know.. get her side of the story.”
Ellie held her head with a hand, “her side of the story?” She repeated, Joel sighed and looked at her annoyed, “That prick said she was only using me to make him jealous.” Ellie was just about to pick at her food again, but Joel took her plate, “hey!” Joel shook his head, “that’s what he says, but did you ever ask her if that was true?”
Ellie shook her head, “did she call or texted you?” Ellie nodded her head, “and?” Ellie sighed and shrugged, “I didn’t open it.” Joel laughed, “you are always on that damn phone, and you are telling me that you haven’t opened to see what she texted?” Ellie groaned, “who cares, it’s over and done with. Now can I eat?” With a bit of hesitance, Joel placed her plate back.
The next week wasn’t all that easy, Ellie didn’t drop you off to school, and Ellie completely ignored you throughout P.E, Dina and Jesse tried to talk about the issue, but Ellie wasn’t budging.
Even she didn’t know why she was so cold.
Ellie didn’t know why she was so stubborn about this, maybe it was because she was afraid that if she were to ask you about it, you’d tell her that it was true, she’d be heartbroken even more.
It wasn’t the first time someone used her to get with someone else.
And just like that Friday had came, and it was the fall dance, Dina was getting ready in Ellie’s room, wanting her true opinion, “the red rubies or the pearls?” She asked, Ellie was busy throwing a soccer ball she had bought a while back. “Uhhh pearls.” She responded not bothering to look at her friend, “Ellie…come on. She’s just across the street.” Ellie looked at her very dressed up friend, she shook her head, “nah. The rubies are better.”
Jesse had arrived and took Dina with him, leaving Ellie alone at her house, curiosity got the best of her and she got up to look out her window. Your house was completely dark, all except your room, with a sigh she let go of the drapes and went back to her bed, throwing the soccer ball up into the air.
A knock came from her door, Joel came in and sat down, “Dina and Jess left.” He said, causing Ellie to simply nod, “I know.” She said, “it would be a shame for that tux Jess lent to go to waste,” Joel muttered, “seeing as we took a huge portion of our time getting it tailored to fit you right.” Ellie sighed, “Joel-“ Ellie groaned annoyed with him, “I’m not telling you to ask her to dance, I’m telling you to go to the dance and have fun with your friends instead of wallowing in your self pity.” Joel watched as Ellie sighed.
“Not everyone is using you El’s.”
Joel got up from the bed and sighed, “icing people out isn’t the way to go kid, but uh- there’s some leftover lasagna from last night, If you wanted to eat something. I’ll be in the garage.” With a soft pat on the shoulder he then left Ellie in her room, as per usual, Joel’s words would stick onto her and eat at her, maybe he was right, and that’s what Ellie didn’t want to think.
After a while Ellie decided she was hungry so she went down to heat up the lasagna, however the hum of a car got her attention, getting up she looked outside to see that stupid silver car.
Jacob.
Anger filled her body, watching Jacob walk with pride to your door, she wanted to go back to eating her lasagna but her body wouldn’t budge. Jacob slicked back his hair, and knocked on the door, and yet you didn’t answer. Ringing the doorbell wasn’t helping poor Jacob either, after a while Ellie could hear Jacob yell out a few things to your window.
‘Can we talk?’
‘Baby I’m sorry.’
‘Come down and let’s talk it out.’
And yet you didn’t come out, and soon enough Jacob drove away in his stupid car.
Ellie decided she wasn’t gonna go to you, she was gonna sit down, eat her food, and watch some love island uk (Dina had gotten her hooked on that show) and go to bed, and yet…
Why the fuck is she walking to your home?
She had finally made it to your door, regretting even leaving her room, she was about to knock on the door when she realized it was best to just turn back around, and that’s what she was gonna do, until you opened the front door. Both of you awkwardly stood in front of the other, not saying a word till Ellie broke off the silence.
“How’d you know I was out here?”
You looked at her confused and Ellie could have sworn she saw a bit of sadness in your eyes but you covered it up. Crossing your arms you glared at her, “the Uber eats said the food was delivered.” Ellie let out a small ‘oh’ and looked around to see any food, but nothing was there. “Look- I just wanted too..” she started, she was trying to find the right words, but her mind went blank.
“I’m sorry.” She finally muttered, causing you to take a deep breath- “that’s it? That’s all you have to say? Jesus Ellie.” You dropped your crossed arms to your side and onto your hips, “I tried to talk to you- call, text, notes! And you blew me off. I thought you liked me.” You ranted, causing Ellie to flinch a bit, “I do! I do like you-“
“So why the hell did you ignore me? You could have let me explain. That how he lied, and how all he did was try to rile you up- guess it worked.” You laughed with a scoff, Ellie felt like a total asshole, and she knew she was. “I know, I’m sorry- I’m really sorry. I just- my last relationship I was used to make someone else jealous and I was stupid enough to stay for a year, and I know that it isn’t an excuse, but… what he said messed me up, thought it was happening again.”
Ellie couldn’t look at you, she felt like an idiot for even believing what Jacob said, she was that insecure. You sighed, “I knew Cat went back with her ex, but I didn’t know that…” you stood watching the auburn haired girl who was refusing to look back up, “you could have just told me El’s.” You calling her ‘El’s’ helped her loosen her tense already body. “I know.” She replied softly, “and I know you’d never do that, I was insecure and- and idiot.”
You nodded with a small smile, “a big one but- okay.” Ellie laughed, “I’m sorry.” Ellie repeated again, “I accept the apology.” You smiled at Ellie who finally was able to look you in the eye again. “So, get ready.” Ellie said about to turn back to her house, “woah-“ you grab her arm, looking at her confused. “Get ready for what?” You asked, Ellie smiled and looked at you as if it was obvious, “the fall dance, duh! I mean- if it’s not too late to take you.”
You smiled and nodded, “I’d love to go.” Ellie cooly walked back, but as soon as the garage doors opened to reveal a confused Joel, she panicked. “I have to get ready!” She sputtered, running in and dragging her poor old man into the house. Joel rushed into his room to get some of his favorite cologne, while Ellie was a mess putting on her tuxedo.
Finally, Ellie was done and standing in the mirror double checking if she looked good. “You look beautiful kid, come on.” Ellie watched Joel go downstairs, she sighed as she was panicking a bit but, with a deep breath she made her way downstairs. And there you were, standing next to Joel in a beautiful gown, “wow!” You said, a blush already formed on your face, “wow yourself.” Ellie walked up to you and grabbed your hand.
She had bought the corsage a few days ago, she was worried about if it was the right color for the dress and had to double visit the store, just for accuracy. Taking it out and putting it on your hand, you couldn’t help but smile and look at Ellie’s cute concentrated face. “Well, we’re off.” Ellie said proudly, but Joel didn’t let them step a foot out of the door until he got a couple pictures, promising you that he would send some to your parents.
The car ride to school was filled with jokes and laughter, but the panic that was installed in Ellie was still brewing, she got the girl, got her truck fixed, looks pretty snazzy in her suit… and yet she was still a bit nervous. As soon as she parked the truck, you put a hand over hers, “You okay?” You whispered, you could tell she was a bit nervous, “yeah… kinda. I mean, if I gotta be honest, I didn’t think I’d make it this far with you.” You giggled.
“Well you did.” You softly held her face, causing her eyes to look at your lips, the vanilla scent she always dreamed about was right there. Just as she was about to lean in, you had already beaten her to it, Ellie felt the last small bit of unsureness ooze out of her body. The kiss was cut short when Ellie pulled away, “as much as I wanna continue kissing you, the dance is over by ten, and it’s nine fifteen…”
You giggled at her, “okay- let’s go inside.” The both of you walked hand in hand into the dance, a couple of your friends were confused and Jacob was fuming, however he had found a cheerleader to settle on for the night. Dina and Jesse rushed over to the two of you, ecstatic that the both of you had managed to fix the issue. The both of you danced about a couple of songs, many times you had stopped to kiss, Ellie was absolutely whipped for you, the smile never dropping from her face.
Ellie Williams was in love with you.
And she was 100% sure that you were too.
The end :)

Summary: II has an early appointment with a client. heads to Ivy Sprigs for his morning coffee and ham & swiss roll.
II had to go out to work earlier then usual. His client decided to book a five - six hour appointment at nine in the morning. To top it all off he had to shave the grown out scruff on his jaw, and trim his mustache this morning because it was getting in his mouth.
He made his way to ivy sprigs like he did most mornings when he made his way to work, because they took the same route. It was surprisingly hotter than it usually was in the mornings so he rolled up his sleeves and pulled up his hair in a messy bun. not caring how he looks at the moment.
once at ivy sprigs he went to open the door but it didn’t budge, odd. he decided maybe today wasn’t the day to get coffee but then he heard the jingle of the bell for the door and turned to see IV.
“was just opening up, come on in i’ll get you a ham & swiss roll” Ivy says with a soft look, looking a little longer then usual just to notice II’s more put together appearance and detailed neck tattoo. IV turns around and walks back in, he silently takes a deep breath to calm his nerves. II follows IV in, hold his bag strap a bit out of habit and to calm himself.
“you can come sit behind the counter with me, no one else is here yet. just us two” IV says with a soft grin as he prepares II ham & swiss roll, like he did every morning for the past month.
II sits down on a stool near IV, watching as he heats up one of the baked good he likes.
II looks at the ivy tattoos on IV’s wrists and forearms, “how long have you had those?” II asks while he sets down his bag and pulls out his sketchbook.
“long, long time. they where originally stick and pokes i did back in uni. then i actually got the rest done by a professional.” IV answers as he hands II the warm ham & swiss roll “i’ll get you that coffee made for you in a second” IV smiles as he starts to clean up the counter.
II takes a bite of the roll and hums “i could fit you in for a session between some clients if you’re in need of someone to do some designs for you” II offers.
IV looks over at him with a very obvious blush on his cheeks, “i need a touch up on some tattoos on my thighs, but it would be a while till i can get the money” IV thinks as he looks away and continues to clean up the counter.
“it's on the house, you already give me free coffee and baked goods” II responds as he sits up straight in a bit of a defensive stoic posture.
“I consider you a friend now, so it's the most I could do to repay you,” II says with a bit of a softer tone than usual. IV just looks at him with a completely red face and chest.
“Are you okay Ivy?” II asks worried IV would pass out.
“im.. im fine, just a bit flustered by-“ was cut off by a whistle “wow Ivy wasn’t expecting you to have a snack this early in the morning” evaline giggles as she walks into the front, she looks II up and down “your that tattoo artist that works up the street, right?”
IV groans “Lii this is Evaline but i don't think she needs any introduction” he grumbles in an annoyed tone as he motions to her.
“I like to make myself known,” Evaline smirks, “get your man his coffee, he has work today” she commands as she slaps IV on the rear and makes him squeak.
II chuckles and covers his mouth “sorry that is just, very funny. it’s understandable now why my partners think you are such a peach” II smiles with so much passion that makes his crows feet really shine.
IV flusters “im going to go make that coffee for you” he says as he walks off.
evaline snorts “im going to kill that man if he doesn’t get hitched soon” she says through gritted teeth as she puts her hands on her hips. “believe me i'm trying” II mutters.
Evaline and II just make eye contact and then act like neither of them ever said that.
A few moments later IV walks back in with II’s coffee in hand. “So what time is your first?” he asks as he sits on the counter and looks at II. “Nine because this lady is insane” II say before taking a sip of his coffee, “i hate mornings” II grumbles.
Ivy just looks at him softly “I'll keep that in mind, next time you have an early one just text me so I have it all setup for you” IV offers. ii’s eyes flick to his as he thinks for a second, “i don't have your number?” II say simply.
“well i can give it to you, yah goof” IV chuckles and puts his hand out for II’s. II looks confused for a second before he understands and gives IV his palm. “you can call me or text me anytime you need m- anything from the bakery” IV says as he internally cringes at the slip up.
II doesn’t notice the slightest slip up and watches as IV writes his number on II’s palm. the wet ink drying quickly on his skin, the warmth of IV’s hand on his. it makes II sweat.
II’s head was now on a heywire, it couldn’t shut up about IV, he hasn’t felt like this since his first girlfriend in highschool.
II looks at IV, his eyes scanning over IV’s face wondering if he felt the same. it felt so clique but it was all true, he felt like he was falling head over heels.
IV and II stare at each other in the eyes for a while, slowly leaning closer and closer unknowingly.
“eh hem” Erie coughs as her and Evaline stand in the doorway, “works about to start up, we have a couple people outside.”
Ivy looks at the two and then back at II “i have to get to work, and i bet you do as well” Ivy holds Lii’s hand and kisses the back of his hand. “I'll see you tomorrow,” Ivy says before walking off.
II sits there and tries to collect his thoughts, mulling over what just happened as he holds his to go coffee in one hand as the other is still where IV let go of it.
Once II zones back in he starts to pack his stuff up, taking a bite of his roll as he focuses on getting out of the cafe as his face gradually redens.
He runs out of the bakery with a roll stuffed in his mouth, his coffee in hand, and his other hand clutching the strap of his bag for dear life.
