it was frustrating, the heat was unbearable. you’d been tossing and turning for the past twenty minutes, continuously met with a too-warm bedspread despite your efforts to flip your pillows and shake out the heat from the blankets. taehyun was moments away from begging you to stay still, having been pulled out of his own slumber by you.
‘y/n, stop,’ he mumbled, his body still turned away from you so his words barely reached you. ‘go back to sleep.’
‘i can’t, tae,’ you frowned to yourself. ‘it’s literally hotter than the fiery pits of hell in here.’
‘you’re being dramatic,’ he muttered, his eyes still drooping with sleep. ‘just go to sleep.’
you tried, truly. you closed your eyes and wished for sleep, but to your dismay, you were still wide awake. you continued to toss and turn and and pray for a cold spot somewhere along the sheets, only to be unsuccessful. your next approach was to stay very still, and you began to sweat profusely.
the bed shifted and taehyun had stood, heading for the bedroom door. you sat up, watching him curiously.
‘where are you going?’ you whispered.
‘to the kitchen,’ he spoke as if it was obvious. ‘aren’t you coming? the kitchen tiles’ll cool you down.’
you hopped out of bed happily, following your sleepy boyfriend into the kitchen. he smiled as you fell into step beside him, and he placed his hand atop your head to give you a loving pat.
I really hated this girl in my class and we kept exchanging notes with various threats of violence on them but then on a Zoom call I saw that she kept a bunch of them pinned on her wall with little hearts around them and I got the biggest crush on her after that.
my friend took this screenshot of me showing off my book collection and the bitrate dropped real bad here and i cant stop laughing at it. what the fuck

a trip to the coast for a warm day at the beach had sounded ideal, until the two of you arrived and were immediately met with harsh winds that immensely overpowered the warm air. you ended up taking beomgyu’s hoodie that he’d had the genius idea of packing, leaving him to shiver and wince at every whip of the wind against his exposed arms.
inevitably, you found yourselves stepping into the warmth of the beach’s arcades. it was loud and bright, with theme tunes overlapping and coins clinking as they fell in and out of different machines.
‘i need it,’ you whispered, dropping your boyfriend’s hand and making a direct move towards a claw machine. just like a child would, you pressed your nose against the glass and stared down at plushie that had caught your eye. ‘beomie, can you please win this for me?’
‘easy,’ he boasted, pushing the change into the machine and seeing it light up with credits. alas, his four attempts were futile and the plushie had barely moved. ‘let me try again.’
you rested your head against the machine as he got to work picking up and dropping the plushie repeatedly. your eyes began to droop and you yawned from boredom, wanting to move on and try out a more stimulating game. eventually, you were shaken out of your sleepy state when he cheered and threw his fists up into the air with victory.
‘you got it!’ you skipped towards him, throwing your arms around his neck to hug him tightly. ‘thank you, gyu.’

So, for those of you unaware: The Korean entertainment industry is an absolute nightmare. Actors have gone years never being paid for work they're owed pay on. The idol industry is terrible in all the ways. And it's honestly no surprise the industry is shit for writers as well. Glad to see the Korean writers are standing up for themselves too!
Edit: Not that anyone will see this because the post is too big now, but many writer organizations in countries around the world also participated in striking on June 14th, 2023.
