Anyone who watched the Mighty Nein after it ended genuinely not know how they got here? I don't mean how you found CR. Like it's kinda foggy but I think I just saw a cool animatic and decided I needed to know. Got to the end of the Whitestone arc in c1 before deciding I wanted to start somewhere more recent.
What I mean is, you binged the campaign in a pretty efficient amount of time. And you remember watching it. But you have no idea how you did it.
We're talking 141 episodes, most 4-5 hours each. I know hyperfixations are a magical thing. But I don't think I was doing anything else while watching. Like I wasn't flipping between it and music or videos, I didn't have ao3 open in another tab, I wasn't fidgeting or making something with my hands. At most I may have been on the switch but it wasn't often.
Yet here we are. I somehow entered a fugue state where all I remember from that time is stuff about the campaign, but nothing about how my life had been going. And then seeing EXU after, which had been hot off the press, and going hm they look fun. And it all just spiralled from there.
Meanwhile here I am, obsessed with this new round of dumbasses, but I can't even diligently watch a 30 min recap without having 6 other tabs to pause and flit between every 2 minutes.
I just wanna know what the fuck past me had going on to be so efficient. In my eyes, she is truly a completely different person for this reason alone. A creature possessed. I'm not complaining, I LIKE it here, I just think she oughta share the recipe for future generations. We could be reveling in so much other cool shit if I could open my third eye on command.

TOP 5 non-fiction books. TOP 5 best traveling destinations outisde of the big city. ;)
Thanks for the ask (●ˇ∀ˇ●)
TOP 5 non-fiction books
Huh, i don't read a lot of non-fiction books, most are for work so they're gonna be about science :
5. Steve Jobs: Genius by Design, Jason Quinn, Amit Tayal. I don't know why i took this comic. I don't like the man. I'm not the biggest fan of biographies. But this one was good and interesting, and if i record correctly not much pro-steve jobs.
4. De l'assiette au cerveau: La cuisine neurogastronomique, Christophe Lavelle, Roland Salesse. Ok i might have read this one a little too fast (work deadline) to tell much about it. But it was interesting, well written and accessible (way more than an other one by Roland Salesse which is more a university textbook than anything).
3. Notre cerveau, Hervé Chneiweiss. Beautiful book about the brain with medical/microscopic imageries but also art, review most common brain myth.
2. La folle histoire des virus, Tania Louis. The wonderful world of virus, how many of them there are, how tangle with life they are, make you rethink the definition of live by NASA
Sous la forêt, Francis Martin. Make you discover the wonderful world of fungi and how they're essential to the plants, and to us. Idk know why but what stuck with me was... that book brought up to my conscious that yeah, plants too colonizes regions of the planet and are not the default, the default can be just rock. Also, i found it accessible, my mom said it was accessible enough if you've never done some biology.
TOP 5 best traveling destinations outisde of the big city.
the big city singular, so traveling destinations in France ? Let's say that.
5. Baie de somme. Beautiful little villages, lot of birds, and sometimes you can see some seals.
4. Massif de l'Esterel and some other places in the South East of France, but like, not in the summer when there're way too much people. Winter, Fall, sometimes in Spring.
3. La chaine des puys d'Auvergne. Beautiful landscape, most of this ancient volcano have beautiful craters. You can eat a lot of meals, good cheeses.
2. Bretagne. Beautiful landscapes with the sea/ocean and rocks and cliffs, nice villages. Nice foods (mussels, crêpes, etc.). I haven't done the most western part, but north and south are great.
La Réunion (Reunion Island). The ocean, waterfalls, mountains, volcano, etc. Nice colourful temples from different religions. Amazing foods that have influences from Africa and Asia.

"Excuse me Justice League I'm sorry for interrupting but I have a really important question."
The meeting stops.
All heads turn towards the terrified looking teenage alien? Maybe? Who is hovering halfway in and halfway out of the ceiling.
"...Yes?" Captain Marvel ventures, looking unsure.
"Okay, so there's these deep sea divers who are completely like, pressure saturated? Or something? But their little capsule thing they live in is severed from the ship cuz of a hurricane. I can absolutely phase them out, but I don't really know what to do with them? Because like, I think humans explode if they experience rapid pressure changes? Will the human divers explode if I make them intangible? Or will they explode if I take them up and make them tangible? If I take them up and keep them intangible, will they still explode if turning intangible didn't make them explode in the first place? Sorry, I'm a little pressed for time and Google wasn't giving me answers."
The room is silent as the older heroes take this information in.
That. That is a very oddly specific question.
It also devolves into a massive debate on whether intangibility would count as a pressure change, whether or not humans really did explode, and what, exactly, happened to human bodies when they were made intangible.
Aquaman secrets the kid alien hero out of the meeting room to get the location so he can send his people to the divers.

Elf Lore in the Forgotten Realms for BG3 Players who are Unfamiliar
I've been seeing some...uninformed takes lately about certain elf characters from BG3, so let me just throw some stuff out there for y'all to consider.
Elves in FR live to be about 750.
They physically mature at roughly the same rate as humans i.e. 18-20.
Culturally, elves don't consider other elves emotionally mature i.e. adults until the age of 100, at which point they may choose an adult name to go by.
What does this mean, logically? Well, consider their very long lifespan. If you are going to live 750 years, your perspective on wisdom is going to be quite different from a human's. While 60 years might be plenty mature for a human, for an elf, that means you still haven't had enough time to watch all of your shorter lived friends pass, which I imagine is something of an emotional milestone for elves.
Halsin is 350. This means he's just hitting middle-age.
Astarion is 239 (Idle Champions claims he's 350, but I call bullshit because his birth and death dates are literally in BG3 and also IC frequently gives the characters bullshit ages, like they say Jaheira is 36, which couldn't have been true even during BG1). He died at 39, which is quite young, but he had the same emotional maturity as a human 39 year old at the time, so he's not Like That because he's undeveloped. He's Like That because he's a snapshot of a privileged young nobleman who then spent 200 years being used and abused by the worst sort of person imaginable. He wasn't a full adult by elven standards, though, and I'm sure there's lots of elven rites of passage he didn't get to experience because he was dead.
BG3 does not mechanically distinguish between sun elves and moon elves and simply puts them all under the high elf umbrella, but they are very much a thing in the lore and have distinct appearances, cultures, and histories.
Moon elves tend to have black, blue, or silver-white hair and have pale skin, sometimes with a bluish hue. Their eyes are usually blue or green, sometimes with gold flecks.
Sun elves tend to have blond, black, or red hair and brown skin tones. Their eyes are usually green, gold, black, copper, silver, or hazel.
Based on his appearance, Astarion is probably a moon elf, and it's likely his original eye colour was either blue or green.
There are many other types of elves than those that are playable in the BG3, such as sea elves, winged elves, star elves, wild elves, and lythari.
It's possible that Shadowheart's father is lythari, because lythari are lycanthropic elves.

Want simple tips to heavily improve your skills with character voice??
(📝Note: character voice is the way you convey your character's personality though their pov or dialogue when you write. No two characters speak the same📝)
I speak from experience when I say character voice is hard to get right. Characters, like people, have lots of layers that affect the way they see the world around them and how they interact with other characters. That's why character voice is so important in stories, and why if you write it in a compelling and effective way it will hook people into your story. I hope you learn something new in this post!!
When writing character voice, there's a list of things that you should take into account:
Where are they from? Their past and what they've lived plays a huge part in character voice. Maybe your character grew by the ocean, and so they compare things from the present to the beach, the rocks or the sea itself. You will rarely read about a sailor that is an expert in pants and compares scents to flowers. They might, instead, talk about how a house smells like the wet wood of a ship.
Think about how their personality shapes their language. If they are insecure, they might end most of their sentences with "isn't it?" or "right?" and ask a lot of questions, whereas if you have a confident character, you might find them saying things like "we should do this" or "that will be fun" instead.
What their "lense" is. This is more of an ethic aspect of the character. What have they learn it's okay, and what do they find uncomfortable? Would they find it gross if their friend left laundry on the floor?
Give them special traits (both for dialogue and narration). Maybe character A quotes a lot when they narrate and uses long paragraphs, or maybe B speaks about their past a lot and uses popular sayings. Personally, one character of mine has the tendency to repeat himself when he speaks, as in "yeah, yeah, I'll do it" or "no, no, no. Never" because he is really enthusiastic, and it fits really well with his character.
Pay attention to how they would talk about themselves. Maybe your character doesn't like people to know they're sad because it makes them feel vulnerable, so they will just say they feel annoyed or don't want to talk in that moment. This also means that they will not tell the reader something they are not comfortable saying in the first place.
How is their education? Education is also very important in this context. Did they went to university and have a rich vocabulary and structured sentences, or where they rised in a little farm far from town? You can also play with both a bit: maybe your character did go to university, but maybe they also came from a low income family, and characteristic of both things merge when they talk. Example: long, structured, sentences but a simple and sight forward vocabulary.
That's all for now and happy writing!!
