An opinion

People keep talking about how the animated style and look of Puss in boots 2 artstyle is reminiscent of Spiderverse.

BUT NO-ONE IS TALKING ABOUT HOW THE PAINTERLY STYLE? AND HOW IT'S SIMILAR TO ARCANE??

Did any of you people notice how backgrounds, objects like puss's hat n belt, even some of the montage shots had this painterly look to them. While, arcane's mix of painted & 3D artstyle is is more consice with cleaner brush strokes, however the way Puss in boots painterly style appears to be a mix of rough and small brushstrokes. Even the way hair looks on some characters is different compared to other mainstream 3D animated movies.

I haven't done an art themed essay since uni, nor can or care to remember enough technical terms to better describe this opinion of mine. But goddamn.

idk where dreamworks fully got their inspo from cause I didn't look at the artbook for it so feel free to give me a better insight on the matter :)

i recently watched howls moving castle w a friend of mine so here’s my review lmao:

i love this movie w all my heart bUt

not a single frame in that movie makes a fraction of an ounce of sense and im here for it lmao. they tried so hard to make goo man attractive and its like girl. u had a fucking tantrum bc u couldn’t read the label on a bottle and now ur insecure like. shush u look fine goo man. the whole turnip head is missing prince who was mentioned once in the whole movie??? like ur true love is a 90 y/o grandma srsly. we stan turnip head but who tf is the prince lmao. fire face was cool too we stan. but. was it ever explained who the war was against? or why it was happening? like there is 0 context and 0 worldbuilding here lol. also, is the witch of the waste (i legit just realized they meant waste and not waist lmao) good or bad like????? i am genuinely confused about what her motives for literally anything and everything are????? also why did goo man pretend to be two different wizards like??? what’s the point??? also grandma lady was literally so funny. like they tried to make fire face the comedic relief but no. main character and comedic relief 2 for the price of 1 (the price being all of your braincells bc u won’t have any by the end of this movie)

anyways i love fire face and turnip head and old dog and grandma lady but goo man is kinda weird/creepy and i Don’t Like Him™️
