Finally, getting over the art slump from the past few months and got something productive done! (That contusion back in April and changing departments at work really jumbled my art muse.)

Thankfully the GN really helped to jumpstart my creative juices and start planning my AU version of the ending going forward. Which means that it’s time for some designing! XD

Plus, make it a milestone with it being the first time drawing Dan ever!

I won’t reveal too much right now but I will have full designs out soon with what I’ve come up with!

Also, let me know which facial markings look better on Nyreena. It will help to decide which one to use going forward XD

Hey there! Before I sign up for the event, I do want to ask about DP OCs. I'm guessing from looking over the submissions from last year's even that OCs aren't allowed but I wanted to clarify just to be sure they aren't or if they're okay so as long as canon characters are a part of the piece. Thanks!

Line arts can include OCs, but should be non-OC centric - rather, there should be at least one DP character, and the focus should be on the DP character(s). Feel free to send an ask or a DM about your specific idea, and we'll let you know if it's fine for the event, or if mods would likely reject the line art. If you submit a line art that gets rejected, mods will DM to let you know, and let you know why - but running ideas past us first means less work for you!

Because you'll be submitting line art with no indication of color or value, colorists may not get the colors or values correct! If you're not okay with that, then we don't recommend submitting line art with your OC.

Also, colorists may be more hesitant to color the line art if the OC is central to the piece, so take that into consideration as well!

Well, after getting through the two weeks with my mom (who is doing fantastic during her recovery from her stroke) I got some time and finally managed to get the first full color outfit reference done for Nyreena for my AGIT AU project

Whoohoo, first post of 2023!

I wanted to get this done before Christmas but at the same time I felt that I needed a bit of a break to rest and recharge for the new year (no pun intended XD). But here she is in her glory, singing her spark out with her favorite Christmas song (Silver Bells XD).

Plus, it's the first time drawing a retro microphone so that's a bonus too XD.

(I honestly don't know how I managed to get this done in just over two and a half days XD)

Anyhoo, here's Light for the Thorns & Thrones AU! (Seriously, when it came out I was just drooling over it since fantasy is one of my all time favorite genre XD)

As I was trying to figure out how to put her into the lore I got this idea of making Light a Cybertronian version of an elf since it just seemed to fit the fantasy aesthetic so well so I just rolled with it (no pun intended) 😅

Plus, I wanted to use the concept I've been toying for a while that she's half Con and it definitely worked for this, that's for sure. And experiment with heterochromia for a character for a change as well 😄I thought about having both her optics being purple but the two colors definitely convey her half Con side better and cause the troubles she's gone through growing up.

Well, time to throw my hat into the Welcome Home fandom ring! First ever sketch of dear Wally Darling as well as sketching out my Welcome Home OC Loreley Tymeteller XD

She is a watchmaker and helps to teach time while helping to keep the time running running smoothly throughout the Neighborhood so that the other neighbors can get what they need done during the day.

She’ll have a steampunk theme about her since I planned on having a watch face design on her dress XD

And just over a week later it's all done and dusted and both of them are looking awwwesssome! XD

I do wish that I had a lot of time to devote to getting pieces done as week but sadly all things must come to an end and I must return to work next week.

But at least I've been able to get a wonderful piece done so that means I can move onto the next XD

So a quick update for everyone I have injured the right side of my shoulder/back yesterday at work and since my right side is my dominant hand that means that art is pretty much on hold for me until I can get a proper diagnosis of what I did. I can try to figure something out to get some artwork done so I can say that I at least tried to do something XD
