I did some expression practice with some of my various ocs to test out some new sketch brushes I got~ Pretty happy with how most of them turned out, though drawing Svena with anything but a stoic/annoyed expression is really difficult. And Freyr...I need to find a different hairstyle for him.

Also, no idea why Salae is yelling at Ritika. She probably did something unbefitting of a princess. Again. Or maybe she and Freyr (her cousin) both did something to get in trouble, thus his 'Oopsies' expression.

From the Writer's Truth or Dare Ask Game, @hobbitwrangler "Ace Reporter" asked me one of the questions I was really hoping to be asked! XD

I know and follow a lot of amazing Tolkien artists, so it's almost impossible to zero in on one favorite, but I know which one is personally most valuable to me.

I've been on Tumblr sharing my Thranduilion OCs for just about a year and a half now, and I've been lucky enough to get just ONE artist friend to draw one of my Thranduilion Princes for me, based on a request I made!

@missiemoosie is a super talented artist, and back when we were just starting to be Moot-friends, she drew my suggestion of Prince Gelir Thranduilion sharing a meal with her Hobbit OC, Baylee:

Here is the link to that post: Original Link. I gave her only a brief description to work with, but I think she NAILED Gelir. I love the design of his Mirkwood "Ranger" outfit! And seeing him in a scene with cute little Baylee just made my heart melt. It's still in my (perpetually growing) wish/goal list to write a ficlet that puts them together.

Besides this drawing being spot-on, thorough, and gorgeous, it's so very dear to me because it's two Tolkien OCs from two different writers coming together. This kind of sharing and exchange between creators is the epitome of healthy fandom activity and community. When we create together, we inspire each other and it's so much more fun!

I'm always looking for opportunities to work with my writer friends whose OCs, headcanons, and styles harmonize with mine, and I'm fortunate to already know a few who are willing to put up work with me. <3 XD I wish I had all the time in the world because there are SO many possibilities!

But yes, @missiemoosie has so far been the only artist who has willingly drawn one of my OCs for me without being commissioned or assigned to due to an event. I'm very grateful for her generosity, and I hope more artists AND writers can emulate that community spirit!

6 of the 10 gods for the high fantasy story I'm working on.

Out of all of them, Rhundi is the only one who got literally no changes from their former incarnation from a different story I worked on. Aldalric and Anar had some relatively minor changes; Nayena and Storm had big costume changes; and Bozidar...Bozidar looks almost completely different.

Oh look, a height chart for the majority of the main cast for Bair's story~ Included both of Bair's forms because, as you can see, one is taller than the other.

Hakan and Vithar are dragons and are brothers, but were separated most of their lives due to Hakan having been kidnapped by a warlock when they were really young. Hakan is a fire dragon while Vithar is a water dragon. Their horns aren't counted as part of their height.

Hakan refuses to wear pants/trousers.

Thora is half-forest troll and has shapechanged herself to be shorter than what she normally is. She's also the oldest of the group, being over 1,000 years old. And she's also Bair and Corentin's former babysitter.

Thora refuses to wear shoes.

Corentin is a witch while Bair, his twin sister, is a shapeshifter. Corentin is also Thora's occasional apprentice while Bair is (what I'm tentatively calling) a Warden.

Bair and Vithar start the story off engaged. Eventually, Bair also falls for Hakan and she gets two hunky dragon hubbies.

With that said, however, I'm afraid I don't have any wips of her at the moment! However, I do have a small list of things I'd like to draw with her, with most of them being sketches. I do have one bigger, more emotional piece I want to make for her; it's just a matter of figuring out a pose and composition for it~

Had to do some traditional sketches amidst forcing myself to relearn procreate.

So have some Eurasian wolves done at like, 3:30am as well as some limited color palette character doodles and me testing inks. I wonder if any of my followers recognize the two guys...Because I might be thinking about reworking that story into something original rather than a fanfic. Which is why the one spelling is a bit off...
