Son of a successful merchant and sailor of the high seas this business savvy half elf escaped one pact with an abyssal shark and has landed himself right into another with an ancient insatiable celestial…at least it’s better than the shark…right? 🌊⚜️🐲

Short and small-bodied, this pale skinned woman has a very meek feel about her. A particularly notable feature is her persistent sweet smell. Her shoulder-length, straight, deep brunette hair is un-styled. She has hooded, light green eyes, a long face and a softly shaped jaw. She has toned legs, and toned arms. She has pierced her right upper ear.

This is Mairi, a half-elf perfumist! Her Dad's an Elf and her mum's a dwarf, and she workshops her own perfumes, hence the sweet smell she has around her.

Tabletop Fantasy AU Bucci gang (Part 2)

Author’s Note: This is about the main races in the Kingdom of Passione and how they're treated in the Capital. I hope it's not super long and tedious. I’ll only tag Diavolo because he’s the only character mentioned.

The four races

Hobbits - They're considered "The Help" by rich assholes. Most city Hobbits work in the service industry. Due to their small size and history of servitude, people underestimate their race. Hobbits use that to their advantage.

Elves - They're better than you and they know it. Losing their immortality eons ago has not changed that. In Passione, most nobles aren't elves, but most elves are nobles. When they're not considered pompous assholes, they're loved for their cunningness and beauty.

Dwarves - City Dwarves moved out of the mountains due to exile or escaping execution. City Dwarves are typically blacksmiths and belong to guilds. Dwarves are considered filthy and unwelcomed by the upper echelons of society, not like the Dwarves cares.

Orcs - Passione tolerates their presence. Diavolo uses Orcs in his army to intimidate other countries. The poor, the ones who hang around city Orcs, don't see a difference between Orc and everyone else. Yeah, Orcs can be bad, but other races do some sick shit too.

Humans - 80% of the whole country, and 60% of cities. They fight the most amongst themselves. Humans, even the more closed-minded ones, love to mingle with different races. Hence, humans are responsible for the vast majority of hybrids.

Hybrids - of human descent. They are more likely to mingle with humans and consider themselves humans.

Passione City demographics:

60% Human.

16% Elves.

12% Hobbit.

8% Orc.

4% Dwarf.

The revised stats when including Hybrids:

The whole country:

70% Human.

10% Hybrid.

20% Non-Human.

The cities:

40% Human.

20% Hybrid.

40% Non-Human.

The different hybrids (and % in cities):

Half-Elf (8%)

The best treated and most common hybrids. Half-Elves are treated as humans, but more fetishized. Elves are considered THE beauty standard, so half-elves are considered ‘exotic creatures’. How elves view them depends on a lot of factors. Typically, elves see half-elves as ‘Diluted’.

Half-Hobbit (6%)

Aka Halflings. Hobbits are the only non-humans that treat their hybrids better than humans. Humans treat halflings like children even if it’s unintentional. Halflings have a stronger bond with their Hobbit family/peers. However, Halflings prefer identifying as humans to lessen the discrimination against them.

Half-Orc (4%)

The most discriminated hybrid. Orcs/Half-Orcs found guilty of a violent crime are sentenced to life in prison or get the death penalty. Half-Orcs are feared amongst the upper and middle class, but loved by the lower class. They're admired for their muscular bodies, promiscuous nature, and ferocity.

Half-Dwarf (2%)

Half breeds are the only dwarves tolerated by the upper class . They are more ‘aesthetically pleasing’ and ‘well mannered’ than full-dwarves. As for commoners, Half-Dwarves are not treated in any special way. They're the only hybrids treated no different from humans.

Other notes

Are there more races and non-human hybrids? YES. They're just so rare.

What if a person is multi-racial or parentage is unknown? Then, society goes by their appearance. This rule also applies to someone that’s 75%-25% of two races.

DEMONS AND TIEFLINGS

Demons and Tielings are also super rare but they're plot relevant and a big deal in-universe.

Demons

I'm gonna be cliche for this one: Demon lords almost destroyed the world like 50+ years ago. A ragtag team of misfits united the world in killing the demon lord. Races and cultures may have petty squabbles, but they will put that aside to kill demons together. Even deprave Orc tribes will stop pillaging to slaughter demons. That's how serious demon slaying is.

Tieflings

Half-demons. Yes, the vast majority are half-human. Typically conceived through force, deception, or an unholy deal. Orcs are treated better than tieflings. At least non-offending Orcs are left alone. Tieflings are killed on the spot. They are seen as bad omens and bringers of the Apocalypse. People have burned towns to the ground over ridding the world of tieflings.
