i miss writing so here’s the first part of an iwaoi crackfic cheers

2:00 am shenanigans

characters oikawa tooru, iwaizumi hajime, bokuto koutarou, kuroo tetsurou

warnings none but they make out and i say fuck sometimes

"Are you sure this is gonna work out?"

"Oh yeah, definitely," Kuroo nodded wisely.

"Mhm," Bokuto crossed his arms.

Oikawa looked up at both of them. It's been a while since they'd all met up here at Oikawa's place to try and solve his little problem. However, the clock on the wall just above Kuroo's head had just struck 2 am and the entirety of their lengthy brainstorming led them up to this.

"So," he took a deep breath, "what you're saying is that all I need to do is make out with some guy, you will then take a picture of us, sneakily, as if it were taken on some kind of a party, and send it to Hanamaki, who will then proceed to show it to Mattsun, and then, consequently, the whole team will know about it because the two of them are, with all due respect, massive snitches."

Bokuto grinned and motioned for him to continue. "Exactly."

Oikawa carefully side-eyed him. "And then, after it naturally comes to Iwaizumi, he will, I quote, be so jealous that he just won't be able to resist the urge to ask me out."

"I couldn't have said it better myself," Kuroo took a sip of his pomegranate tea.

"That is the stupidest fucking thing I have ever hear-" Akaashi's voice came through Bokuto's phone speakers but Kuroo quickly ended the call.

"Don't listen to him, he's just unimaginative. I can assure you this will work. We all know Iwaizumi - he's straightforward and emotional, as soon as he sees that picture he will go all feral on you."

Oikawa scrunched up his face in cringe. "Jesus Christ, Kuroo-"

"No but he's right," Bokuto chirped in. "I would probably react the same."

"Yeah sure, after you'd spend a week and a half in your emo mode, all depressed and quoting LaLaLand or something," Kuroo sneered, barely dodging a calculator Bokuto threw at him.

Oikawa pinched the bridge of his nose. "I'm serious, idiots. This is important to me and I really don't wanna screw it up. I think Akaashi is right."

"Realistically speaking, Akaashi is in the minority. He's the only one who doesn't like the idea with the picture, whereas Bokuto and me both think that it's a fantastic plan. And, objectively speaking, that makes the two of us. See, two against one."

"Yeah but the difference between you two and Akaashi is that Akaashi's single eyebrow has more functioning braincells than the two of you ever did."

It was now Oikawa's turn to dodge the calculator.

"I don't wanna make things weird. I should probably just ask him out like a normal person. And I would if I were sure that he's into guys!"

"What, he never really specified anything?"

Oikawa shrugged. "I mean I never asked but he did date a girl once in middle school"

"Oh", Bokuto slouched, disappointed.

"I don't know man, anyone who willingly puts up with you their whole life is either insane or gay so I'd say your chancese are pretty high," Kuroo stretched his arms behind his head. "It's getting late, we should put our plan into action."

Oikawa fidgeted with the end of his shirt. "I don't know..."

"Listen," Bokuto stood up, "this is a win-win situation. If Iwaizumi likes you, he will show it and you'll know it's safe to ask him out. If not, you get to kiss a hot guy for a while. "

"Great, except there are thousands of ways that this could go wrong, and the guy I get to kiss is Kuroo."

"Wait what?" Kuroo's head shot up.

"What do you mean 'wait what'?"

"I never meant to make out with you?"

"Wait you didn't?" Bokuto's confused look met Kuroo's.

"What the hell you two, why did both of you just assume that I'll be the one who does the making out?!"

"Because you're the sluttiest here, obviously," Oikawa lifted an eyebrow.

"You disgust me. I have a reputation to keep, you know."

"Who's gonna do it then?" Bokuto asked.

Kuroo grinned. "There is only one person who is horny enough to come to a stranger's house at 2 am just to get a free make-out session."

Haikyuu boys when they're jealous

Suna Rintarou

he tries to be chill about it, he does

it hurts his ego to be this clingy but god

he can't help but to feel that sour sting of jealousy when he sees another guy approaching you

at first will only take a quick glance from afar, just to check if the guy is bothering you, and then promises himself to stay out of your business

well he doesn't

once he decides the guy has lost talking-to-y/n-alone privilege, he will nonchalantly make his way towards you, one hand in his pocket, other sneaking its way to your shoulder, resting his elbow and giving the poor boy a menacing look

he can be pretty intimidating too with that eyeliner and all

(but that look only works on people that don't know him well, he tried it on atsumu once and the latter just laughed in his face)

not the type to be openly jealous but when he sees someone blatantly flirting with you he will start to give you the Glance

blinks slowly (you know, like that one blonde haired guy gif) and looks at you through raised eyebrows as if to say hey babe, i love you and i trust you. what the fuck tho

and when the guy starts being borderline creepy he'll appear between you - and i mean literally will inject himself between you two and strike a conversation with you as if nothing weird happened

they usually get the hint, but this one guy tried to go around him, still rambling about whatever and suna literally turned on his heel and said "come again?" with such unrivaled coldness, his eyes exuding just sheer fucking spite

but like i said, unless the other guy is asking for it, he's not the type to start a direct confrontation

will take you by the hand and leave without much thought because he simply doesn't have the time for that shit

he might seem grumpy afterwards but a couple of soft kisses usually do the trick

soft kisses which are followed by a breathless make out session with you on his kitchen counter because he still wants you to know you're only his

Kuroo Tetsurou

this little bitch

never gets jealous

and i mean never

once pretended he was jealous just to make you feel better (??? his logic? unparalleled) but once you found out you beat his ass

loves it when you get jealous though (he thinks it's cute)

sometimes he does get insecure, but he shows it in an unusual way

like if you've been talking to someone, smiling at your phone for a while he'll just get up and randomly do a couple puhs-ups, start flexing his muscles and shit

all while you're looking at him like,,

"babe, what are you doing"

"oh i didn't think you'd notice me there. since you're on your damn phone all day"

"...are you my mom?"

nah he'll be fine (will steal your phone though)

also it's the funniest thing when he sees someone trying to flirt with you

he will literally walk over there, introduce himself (not mentioning he's your boyfriend) and act really interested in the conversation

he plays this game where he tries to see how long will it take the guy to realise you two are together (longest time: 24 minutes, record holder: yahaba shigeru)

whenever the guy asks you something he will interrupt you and answer for himself as if the guy were flirting with him

"so, like what do you do in your free time?"

"not mu-"

"oh i love taking long walks on the beach, especially during sunsets. i really think it is healthy for the mind and the soul, not to mention quite romantic too. don't you too love sunsets, kevin?"

at one point kevin will have had enough of it

"i was talking to y/n alone here"

"aw don't worry, you're not bothering me"

he is such a pain in the ass

why can't he just be normal

Iwaizumi Hajime

rational, mature, i love him

seriously, he is the bestest boy and he will treat you so well because he trusts you and respects your friendship with other guys as well

but on those rare occasions when he does get jealous,, oh boy

first of all, the PDA skyrockets, he has to have his arm around you at all times - around your shoulder? on your waist? in your backpocket? his hand's been there done that

not in any way possesive but will be really annoying unless you give him your full undivided attention that day

he lets himself be selfish a bit, after all he is your boyfriend he can have you all to himself for a day, right?

jealous sex with him? better prepare a wheelchair cause you want be able to walk straight tomorrow

sees a boy trying to flirt with you? tries not to make a scene but absolutely will throw the first punch if he needs to

one day he was having a particularly rough time at practice and all he wanted to do was lose himself in your arms and fall asleep to the feeling your fingertips tangled in his hair

and then he saw this?? guy? (the audacity!) laughing with you after telling some dumb joke and let me tell you - iwaizumi wasn't having any of it

he came up to you from behind, wrapped his arms around your waist and planted a small kiss on the crook of your neck

"when are we going home, love?"

and he gives him the calmest yet most fear inducing stare from behind you

and suddenly the pattern on poor boy's pants starts to look awful lot like piss stain

it is actually kinda hot how one single look from him can cause such a reaction

"he was just asking about english homework babe"

"yeah that's what they all say"

Bokuto Koutarou

gets jealous so so easily

it is actually fascinating

will get mad at otome games

"what does jumin han have that i don't???"

god forbid you pay attention to your pet more than him (btw you have a golden retriever and his name is bean)

you're sitting on the couch cuddling with your dog, scratching his ears, ruffling his fur and all that, and there he is, your clingy boyfriend, snuggling right next to you, demanding you play with his hair too

so dramatic

"you smiled at him... the way you used to smile at me..."

"bokuto, he's a dog"

the only guy he trusts 100% to be around you is akaashi, even kuroo is on thin ice

but him and akaashi are something else, one time you three had a sleepover and you felt like you were the third wheel

will act like a tough serious boyfriend in front of others, especially your other guy friends but in reality will look for affection immediately after

oh while we're at it - jealous bokuto kisses? are the best kisses

will also force you to wear one of his shirts for the rest of the day

my poor man is so touch starved so when he feels insecure or jealous he will look for comfort in things like holding your hand, nuzzling your neck or giving forehead kisses

but later that day, when you two are sitting on the couch cuddling he will quietly ask you something along the lines of "you still think i'm pretty, right?"

you can feel him all over you - his hands are creeping down your waist, he's pulling you in, deepening the kiss until all you can see, think and feel is him

he wants to show you exactly how much he wants you and what you were missing out on while you weren't paying attention to him

and it shocks you for a moment because you didn't realise just how much that one short moment of jealousy actually stayed with him

you have to reassure him he's the most beautiful boy you have ever met, and not only that, but also the funniest and the most caring person as well, and that you would never leave his side no matter what happened

and as much as he loves getting praised he always gets embarrassed, so he just smiles in return, but he is also happy to know you're there for him and you don't think he is too much

Kenma Kozume

it depends on his mood honestly

sometimes he doesn't mind it even if the other guy is flirting with you and sometimes will get pissy if you smile at the cashier

but when this boy gets really jealous oh my GOD

he is just like bokuto if not worse; he just hides it so well

one time you went grocery shopping with him and spent the entire time texting your friend who had just told you she was visiting your city

and he got so offended

you didn't even notice it until later that day when you came home and he suddenly refused to cuddle with you

silent treatment

lifts his nose and ignores you, only giving you dirty side glances from under the eye

such a massive sense of pride in those 170 cm even oikawa would be impressed

in my country there's a saying "it's in the smallest bottle that the poison lies" and honestly? yeah

at some point you realise why he's acting like that and you start teasing him

"i am not jealous i am just mildly irritated" is the only thing he deems necessary to say before going back to being unnecessarily pissed

he reminds you of an angry cat

it's kind of amusing seeing him like this but you were also getting real tired of his shit

don't even try bribing him (you tried buying him over with a ps5 but he just looked at you unimpressed, disgusted that you think so low of him)

the only thing he will accept is a sincere apology

if it's sincere or not is up to him to decide, obviously

which can lead to quite some bickering

will try to get you to beg but please have dignity, if you do it once he will make you do it every time

yeah generally a lttle shit but his kisses after making up are just as eager as yours so

his kisses are always smooth, pouring into each other; he sets a nice steady rhythm and lets your lips go with the slightest pop, like we get it you can kiss

tries to seem chill, but is really anxious the first time

obviously wants you to have a good time and wants to impress you which leads to him being a little tense in the beginning - is always hyper-aware of your every movement, trying to reciprocate and figure out what you want him to do

but once he relaxes and realises you just want him to be himself and he gives in,, hnngh

gentle but firm, tangles his fingers into your hair and leads the kiss that way

other hand is resting on your waist (usually) under your shirt

(also he can 100% unhook a bra with only one hand and from behind your back, it is actually fascinating)

and by tight, i mean his kisses are bone-crushing

so, so, so excited to kiss you

when he gets ahold of you, he won't let go that easily, like honestly good luck getting out of his embrace

he just wants to show you how much he loves you?? he's doing his best, if you don't marry this man i will

warning: don't try to tease him by pulling away, he will get the biggest pout

you can literally see the light leave his eyes as the betrayed expression forms on his face in slow motion and he realises he's not gonna get the kiss he wants

pretends he's hurt but only lasts 5 minutes (record time 7 minutes 36 seconds) before he's begging you to take him back again

god he's just so,, proud to have you by his side like he just loves showing you off to his friends like see that's MY partner!!

not even a kissing headcanon but I could talk about this man for days like just imagine waking up to him and the first thing you see in the morning is his smile ahsjsiw9cn

ALSO, it's the cutest thing when you can feel his lips curl into a small smile when you lean in for a kiss or like a proud grin when he manages to make you laugh

Haikyuu boys when they're drunk

warnings swearing (i swear, they don't, they're polite boys), uhh drinking? but that's pretty obvious

recent works: what it feels like to fall in love with them

Iwaizumi Hajime

You know how he's usually the mom friend?

Pulls a one fucking eighty

Has no sense of self-preservation whatsoever

Has to be under constant surveillance or Else

Once jumped off the first floor because Hanamaki told him not to

(Kyoutani soon followed after him too, but I digress)

There's just this little troublemaker in him that comes through when he's drunk and it amuses everyone, especially Hanamaki and Matsukawa who can't wait to join him when he starts doing stupid shit

However, when the alcohol starts wearing off he gets unusually quiet

Oikawa usually calls it the stage of regret

But in all honesty he just gets tired, usually falling asleep on the nearest couch

Or chair

Or the floor

Oikawa Tooru

Walks a fine line between being the life of the party and an emotional shipwreck

Once Yahaba accidentaly said his hair looked funny and he started crying on the spot

It's like his emotions are amplified, he's either having the time of his life or sitting in a corner wailing about something that happened four years ago

But when he's in a good mood, he laughs

All the time

(And it's like the prettiest sound in the world)

Refuses to drink anything else but vodka

Especially beer

Hates it with a burning passion

Insists that it tastes like piss

Matsukawa made him try the apple and lemon flavored ones but he's too stubborn to admit they're not bad

Has the highest alcohol tolerance out of them all mostly because he's been drinking since he was like 14

(Which is really bad, I do not condone this)

Knows exactly how much he can drink and how much everyone else on the team can drink, and usually watches out for them not to get too shitfaced

When they do though, he's the one to sit by them when they puke and call an uber to get them home

Just,, too sweet

Kuroo Tetsurou

Just like Oikawa, knows how not to get shitfaced

However, enjoys getting shitfaced from time to time

Makes the best cocktails

Doesn't let Kenma drink them

Owns a guitar and god damn can he play it

Usually doesn't like when other people listen to him but get him tipsy and he will hold an entire concert

Once Lev accidentaly broke his guitar when he tackled Yaku and since then Kuroo keeps it with him like it's the holy grail

I'm not even kidding, will start barking if you look at it the wrong way

Prefers whiskey

Loves playing with other people's hair

It's either you or Kenma, whoever he lays his hands on first

Learned how to braid hair on his sister and now does it so well it's on par with like Brad Mondo or some shit

Bokuto koutarou

Shares a similarity with a kinder surprise egg in a way that there is no possible way you know what you will get

Either ecstatic or emo, no in between

For some reason really likes taking his shirt off

Gets really fidgety

Can't stand still for two fucking seconds

Randomly leaves the conversation to run around and then comes back like nothing ever happened

Easily distracted

Someone needs to be with him at all times or he will randomly wander off

"Ohh I wanna pet that hedgehog."

"Bokuto, get your ass over here."

If he ends up in the emo stage... oh boy

Cries at everything

Once got emotionally attached to Konoha's pet grasshopper

Refused to leave without it so Konoha let him borrow it for the night but when Bokuto woke up he mistook it for a stick of wood and threw it away

Sakusa Kiyoomi

This man does not drink

The taste of alcohol genuinely disgusts him

People act stupid when they drink anyway

Also he takes volleyball very seriously

Can't drink if you're planning on competing profesionally y'know

BUT

He tried a cocktail once accidentally

The waitress switched his drink when he was out with his teammates and they made him try it

Will never admit it but it wasn't that bad

Tasted like juice, really

And let me tell you, tipsy sakusa kiyoomi is the cutest thing ever

Giggles

Just giggles all the time

Has conversations with himself about volleyballll

Sits down next to you, hugs your arm and just rambles about whatever's on his mind

Usually it's his next match

One time made you sit through a passionate 15 minute description of his breakfast

Also very affectionate

Will compliment the everloving shit out of anyone in a 10 meter radius

His hangovers arent even that bad but he stays in a godawful mood the entire next day

Kageyama Tobio

Rarely drinks

Him and Tsukishima usually stand aside (in silence) and watch others do stupid shit

Has a ridiculously low alcohol tolerance

I swear this boy gets drunk on fucking liquor chocolates

The first time he got tipsy he refused to believe it

"I can get up on my own, thanks Sugawara."

*Thud*

Both fascinated and scared of the fact that he can't walk straight

Gets really judgy

You know how analytical he gets when playing volleyball?

Well now he says it all out loud and it lowkey pisses everyone off

Well everyone except Tsukki who unironically enjoys this side of him

(Tsukki even looks forward to parties with kageyama because he can gossip about anything and Kageyama is actually great listener when drunk, but Tsukki would rather eat a lego than admit it)

Can't tell different alcohol apart

You can get him to say anything (which Tanaka and Nishinoya abuse a lot)

Shows affection in... unusual ways

Will hold your hand "So it's not too heavy for you"

Will apply the same logic to your face

Like he will just cup it and look you in the eye "it's ok you can relax now"

Like not even some cute shit, he's dead serious

Street lights, getting lost in the crowd of a big city; sharing childhood memories, stealing his jacket, slipping notes in class, watching movies in an empty cinema, slow dancing to classic rock, playful kisses in the kitchen, following the smell of freshly made pancakes, falling asleep to the sound of his heartbeat

Tsukishima Kei

Silence, finding comfort in each other's presence; making playlists for each other, facetiming at 2 am, refusing to end the call first, witty remarks, rolling eyes, kisses in the middle of a sentence, the soft buzz of a cd turning, late night coffee shop dates, stargazing in the backyard, feeling safe and understood

"Hands where i can see them."

"Baby please, it doesn't have to end like this."

"I won't repeat myself," you said, eyes showing nothing but pure cold indifference towards the man in front of you.

"Why don't we talk this through?" Kuroo pleaded but you just snorted, dismissing the proposition without much thought.

"We have nothing to talk about," you cocked your shotgun. "You're not getting away this time."

"It's still not late to make the right choice, baby."

"Don't you baby me. You should've thought about making the right choice last week when you ate my leftover spaghetti."

"That was in the past!" Kuroo cried out, carefully eyeing the tip of your gun. "Please my love, you have to listen to me just this once. You know how much I love you; you are the most beautiful, smart, charming-"

You let out a hearty laugh, pointing the gun at his chest. "Do you think so low of me? Or does every man become so sweet-tongued when at gunpoint?"

Kuroo gulped. "Baby... don't do this."

"You're only making this harder."

"You know I still love you."

"The spaghetti doesn't think so. Any last words?" you asked through gritted teeth, your words dripping with unfiltered vengeance. "I'm gonna count to three."

You could see a drop of sweat forming on Kuroo's forehead. "I am so so sorry. One day I will make you as much spaghetti milanese as your heart desires. I swear."

"How many times am I supposed to forgive you? One."

"Y/n, love of my life, you don't want to make a choice you will regret."

"You're not the man I used to trust anymore. Two."

"If you shoot me we're breaking up," he blurted out and you raised your eyebrows in disbelief.

"Pasta la vista, you son of a bitch." But before you could place your finger on the trigger, Kuroo made one last step towards you, cupping your face and desperatly slamming your lips together as one final act of futile resistance. And in the midst of chaos he kissed you, knowing his fate was sealed, yet so truthfully depicting the neverending human fight for survival.

You would've lied if you said your heart didn't skip a beat when your lips collided, and you would've lied if you said the sweet taste of his tongue didn't make you feel dizzy like it always used to.

But you had a mission. And it had to be executed.

Just as you were about to point a shotgun at his guts, a loud bang exploded from behind you.

Your eyes widened in shock as the stinging pain pulsed through your lower back, leaving a dripping trail of betraying red on your black uniform. In front of you, Kuroo's mouth curled into a sly smirk.

"Red team wins!" a cheerful voice behind you announced.

"I thought you were the last one!" you jabbed his arm accusingly.

"Nope," he gave you a toothy grin, taking his protective glasses off and wiping his forehead. "Whew, that was a close one."

"I was sure we were gonna lose again," a voice came from behind you and you turned around to see the face of the bastard who shot you.

"You!" you spat at Bokuto in disbelief. "You traitor! Who shoots people when they're kissing??" You sighed dramatically, ignoring Bokuto's panicked excuses, before turning back to your boyfriend.

"And you. You kissed me to distract me from Bokuto approaching? Really??" Kuroo was still wearing the same shit-eating grin from before. "And I can't believe you threatened to break up with me over a game of paintball?!"

"Hey now, you were just about to shoot me because of leftover pasta, remember?"

"That is not the same!"

"Calm down baby, take a deep breath. Stress isn't good for your skin."

"Shut up." You smacked him.

"Aw you're cute when you lose. Wonder what you're like when you win. Oh, wait."

"You're insufferable, you know that?" You rolled your eyes at Kuroo's evil snicker.

"Love you too."
