So, this is part of the story I've been working, it's called Idiot World on and people told me I should post it so here I am.

I sat bolt upright in bed when I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. I immediately knew whose they were; Rufus’s. He knocked on the door and said,

“Rex, get up this is the sixth time I’ve called you. It’s time for school!”

I groaned and heard him walk back down the stairs. I slithered out of bed, and slid onto the floor. I sat there for a minute, and decided I needed to get up. I crawled to the bathroom and stood up. I checked the mirror, and remembered I hadn’t changed my clothes, done my homework, or eaten dinner last night. I picked at the scab on my arm, and decided I didn’t have enough energy to change my clothes. I opened my door, and shoved my backpack down the stairs. I heard a humongous crash, then I heard “REX FRANK TOMS!”

I cringed at my brother using my full name, and drudged downstairs, I looked at the old clock on the kitchen wall, and realized I had missed the bus… again. I looked at my brother and said “I’m just gonna walk to school today. I’ll see you later.”

“Well aren’t you just a ball of sunshine today.”

I rolled my eyes, gave him a hug, and walked out of the front door. I was so busy staring at my notebooks, and the lady bug crawling on my hand that I almost didn’t notice my name being called, but when I did notice I immediately recognized the voices. I ducked my head lower, and started to quicken my pace, that's when I felt something sharp hit my ankle. I stopped for a moment to see what had hit me, my ankle was bleeding and there was a rock laying next to my foot. Now I may not have straight A’s in school but I definitely wasn’t that stupid I grabbed the rock, turned around, and hurled it right back at them. It hit one of them in the arm. I knew I shouldn’t have done that. I heard the sound of pounding feet behind me, yep definitely should not have done that. Soon they were all right next to me. I sped up again, but it didn’t matter they were still there and we still had like five minutes until we got to school. I felt a hand roughly grab my left arm, I still had my notebooks in my right hand, but I dropped them when another hand grabbed my right arm. One of them grabbed the notebooks and started flipping through them. I was scared, I had all of my secrets, all of my drawings, and all of my dreams in those notebooks. The other two shoved me to the ground and the others (all thirteen of them) gathered around their leader to look through the books.

Remember when I said I was gonna post my flats? I lied. Anyway, I’m close to finishing all the pages I have prepped, it just takes time with the schedule I have. So I’m gonna post them as I finish them.

The Year was 2017, After daydreaming since 2012, I decided to share my idea with the world through a webcomic. I didn't have any experience or knowledge of the rules of comics, nor did I have an idea about the basics of anatomy or perspective. Fonts were unharmonised, things were drawn with little to no references, and everything was off. I didn't care; I just wanted to draw. I was in a phase where I drew everything fast, but it wasn't good, and I managed to finish the prologue. The story was only finished till that part, and I kept making it up as I went along. I took a little break from 2018 to 2020 due to academics being my main priority, and in 2020, I was ready to start posting the first chapter. My brain thought midway through the second page and said, why not draw out the entire chapter and then post it all at once so people would have much to read? And it was another waiting game.

In 2023, while in my final years at college, my laptop's hard drive decided to take a final round of applause and took everything down with it, unfortunately, including any progress I had made on my webcomic. I was dumb and didn't truly appreciate the backups until then. There was no point in crying over spilt milk; the damage had been done.

The year is 2024,

I've been mostly absent from the drawing scene after Last Year's Comic-Con due to burnout and working on other projects. Still, I've also taken a crack at redoing Summer Intersection again, with the intention of having it both as a webcomic and (hopefully crossing this off the bucket list) a graphic novel.

While the first version makes me want to claw my eyes out, it helps me realise the improvements I managed to achieve these 7 years.

I cannot promise that I'll finish it all ASAP. This can take me years, but I hope this is a project I hope to see to the very end.

Hello Everyone!! Amy here!! I have something to share with you concerning my career. After five years of serving as reporter, social media manager, sales ad rep, office assistant, newspaper distributor, and arts & music reporter, it is, how I stated it….”Time For A Change”. Thursday, January 26,2023 was my FINAL day of work at “The Eastwick Press”. I accepted a FULL-TIME reporter position at Spotlight News/TheSpot518. I am also going to focus on another creative endeavor I accepted outside the new position. I begin the full-time gig January 30. I will still remain “on hand” as social media manager for Eastwick Press.
