As Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei, Bi-Han has little time and care to cater to the emotional needs of others. That, and he doesn't know much about showing affection and emotional support to others.

While going about his day, Syzoth's focus is disrupted when he hears a storage noise. Sniffling. He immediately recognises this noise. He has found himself crying many nights, while under Shang Tsung's thumb as a slave, and even now after learning of the loss of his family.

Out of concern, he follows the sound until he finds himself outside the door of the room you are hiding in. Trying to hide away from everyone else. Syzoth quickly understands and relates to these actions. He needed many moments to hide away and deal with his own emotions.

He gently opens it and pears inside. His eyes widen in surprise when he sees that it's you who's weeping. It... hurts him to see you like this.

Syzoth listens attentively to every word, careful to miss a single detail.

As you reminisce about the actions that led to this, you feel yourself succumbing to grief once again. Tears fall from once again.

Syzoth's own eyes begin to water upon seeing your pain. He lightly takes his finger and wipes away some of your tears.

He wraps an arm and brings you close to him. You rest your head on his shoulder.

Syzoth is usually cold-blooded (literally), but at this moment, he feels warm and welcoming. As if he is willing to alter his biology to comfort you. It makes you feel safe.

Soon all the troubles seem to go away as you focus on the welcoming embrace of Syzoth's body.

You can't help but notice tears that are not yours begin to fall. You look up and see that Syzoth himself has begins to cry slightly, moved by your sorrow.

you flex your arm and clench your fingers as you look at General Shao across from you in the sparring ring

he smiles at you and readies his battle axe before swinging toward you, and you lunge forward as well, using your metal arm as a shield as you attack

it’s a sight to watch, and Reiko watches from the sidelines, arms crossed and brows furrowed as he watches you easily fight off General Shao

he was the strongest man Reiko had ever known, the best fighter, and yet here you were, easily fighting him off with no weapon besides your arm

for some reason, it makes his face heat up and his heart stutter in his chest as you take Shao’s axe and throw it to the side and engage in hand to hand combat

the fight doesn’t last long after that, and Shao is face down in the ground as he begrudgingly yields

you get off Shao and stand in the middle of the ring, awaiting the next challenger

Reiko wants to get in, to fight against you and feel the cool metal of your arm against him to restrain him, and he has to shake his head to rid of the thoughts

Shao had already told him to train the other initiates, to stay focused and on task, and yet you plaque his thoughts as he goes through the day

he can’t stop thinking about your arm, the one that restrained Shao so easily to the floor, how it flexed and shined in the sunlight

his face flushes as he imagines you pinning him down to the training grounds after sparring with him, how your other hand would creep up his armor and squeeze his chest

one of his initiates snaps him out of his daze when they ask him a question about their form, and he clears his throat and continues to teach them

the day passes by slowly, and every so often, he catches you in the corner of his eye in the arena, constantly fighting, sparring, winning

eventually, Shao comes up to Reiko and tells him to get in the ring, to test his fighting skills against you, and Reiko tries not to seem too eager to fight against you

he walks into the ring, bracing himself and puffing out his chest as you circle him slowly, eyeing him up and down and tensing your form

you look at him dead in the eye, and he can see something underneath, something furious and angry trying to claw its way out

you leap first, metal glinting in the sunlight, and Reiko struggles to keep up with your pace as you throw punches and try to catch him off his feet

the first few minutes are a struggle of trying not to get hit, dodging and moving and turning, as you follow his steadily

you don’t even seem out of breath, only a single drop of sweat on your forehead as you lunge toward him again with a stern face and quick fists

your movements are unpredictable, erratic, angry, and he can’t even try to break through your defense to try and land a hit

his footsteps become sloppy, and his movements become sluggish as you wear down his endurance

soon enough, you catch him in a moment of weakness and sweep his feet from under him and press your knee into his chest as you restrain his wrists with your metal hand

Reiko struggles to think clean thoughts as you stare into his eyes and bellow at him to yield, and he coughs out a surrender before you let go of him

you walk off to the corner of the ring, eyes narrowed at Reiko

it seems that he had peaked your interest as well, and he can feel your eyes burning into his skin, roaming across his figure, as he walks back to General Shao

Facing death and waking up to a roaring battle with Mileena taking a stance on the battlefield given the last battles events in the Outworld Civil War, the reader tries to fight, but this time, Reiko is the one to step up to the Royal Family and Empress herself, keeping his word to the reader as the truth to these events is unveiled and they focus on their future as they can finally be together...

“That’s so amazing,” These Umgadi never ceased to leave me in awe; listening to their stories and hearing about Outworld's past before I was born was astounding; chuckling nervously, “I don’t know if my stories will live up to yours.”

“What do you mean?” The one beside me laughed, bumping shoulders with me, “You still have your own story to finish.”

“Huh?” I was confused, looking at her, then the umgadi across from me, her face starting to fade, but she was smiling at me, encouraging:

“Your time has not come yet, Y/N.”

Everything went black again, but there was this shooting pain in my back, the worst pain I’ve ever experienced physically, groaning at the loud screaming and yelling I could hear from a distance.

I had no idea what was happening or where I was, my eyes not wanting to open, barely able to see as I knew Reiko’s voice:

“If you want her, you’ll have to kill me first, Mileena!”

Mileena? Reiko’s voice made me remember where I was, but what was Mileena doing here?

“You will die here today, Reiko!”

This civil war was only getting worse. Mileena being on the battlefield was an obvious sign of that.

I didn’t want things to be this way, trying my hardest to get up, crying and screaming through the shooting pains in my back, all the noise from outside drowning it out, but I could still hear Mileena’s words:

“Why Y/N fell for a fool like you is beyond me! And after what she’s done, I’m disbanding the Umgadi! What she’s done is treasonous!”

“She has nothing to do with the choices I’ve made!” Reiko had never sounded so emotional; his words put tears in my eyes, “But I will gladly free her from the slavery that you call Umgadi by ending you!”

“That’s where you’re wrong,” Mileena scowled, her tone giving away that she was ready for combat, “I’ll just kill you both, then Shao and this rebellion will end!”

Hearing Mileena saying she’d kill me cut my heart deeply. I remember us growing up together, always guarding her and Kitana. She could throw that all away as if it were meaningless.

Finally, I saw Mileena and the royal family through Reiko’s eyes. Still feeling the pain in my back, the weird feeling that I felt before Kitana stabbed me flowed through my body again, and then this snap.

“Enough talk! Just DIE!” Mileena shrieked, going to stab Reiko with her sai, but my hand swatted them away like a fly. No feeling in my body, but my hand clenched around her throat and nearly snapped her neck as I growled:

“You touch a single hair on his head, and yours will be on the ground next.”

I was on my death bed, and to suddenly be standing, let alone face to face with Mileena, everyone stopped and stared.

“Y/N?!” Reiko couldn’t believe his eyes, “How are you- “

“B-Behand me-e-" Mileena was struggling to breathe, staring in fear as she saw something I couldn’t, my eyes glowing as I squeezed harder, growling:

“What was that? I could’ve sworn you just threatened to kill me. Why would I do something so idiotic by letting you go?”

“Empress!”

Her army didn’t stay stationary for long; the only reason I let her go was because of an arrow that flew past my back, the pain of my wound snapping me back into the horrible pain.

Mileena dropped, coughing and spitting from how hard I was choking her, but making sure that she spit out:

"You will p-pay for your treason and for what you did to Kitana!"

Kitana? I had no idea what happened after I collapsed on the battlefield, not having the time to think as Reiko scooped me. Mileena made it to her feet, but he sent her reeling with a kick, clinging to him and crying out as the movement made the pain worse.

"I'm sorry, love," He huffed, still ready to fight and placing me down near one of the tents they had set up, commanding to one of the rebels, "You protect her with your life till I'm done with this witch! You understand?!"

"Yes, sir!" They followed their orders without any hesitation, and the sight of Mileena prepared for him had me crying out:

"REIKO"

"This is for you, my love," He said to me, facing off with Mileena, "Tonight, we will finally be free."

All I could do was cry as I watched him start to exchange blows with Mileena. My sobs and hysteria grew as I tried to get up, wanting to end this battle, but my body wouldn't allow me.

"You shouldn't be moving!" This rebel was trying to keep me still as my wounds were still rather fatal, but I kept watching Reiko, infuriated that my body was giving up on me, the loud noises dying down, and my vision blurring again.

I couldn't see what was happening, but I remembered crying so hard that I couldn't breathe, seeing blood spatter between Reiko and Mileena, crying out to him as my heart finally knew what it wanted:

"Just win, Reiko! Please!"

"K-Keep moving, men. We're almost there."

"Huh?" I passed out again, my eyes stinging at a bright light. It was the sun.

"I know it's uncomfortable, but I have you," Reiko's voice was low and deep. He sounded exhausted, blinking to see a terrible cut on his face, and the night before finally occurred to me.

"By the gods," I gasped quickly, trying to sit up to realize that I was in his arms, and he kept me snug so that I couldn't. His arms were covered in cuts, too and before I could say more, he huffed out:

"I'm fine, Y/N, but you're still injured. So please, stay still. We're almost there."

"Reiko," I had never seen him in such a state, shaking as I asked, "What happened?"

"Mileena retreated. She learned firsthand that I am not easily defeated."

There was so much that I wanted to know, but this wasn't the time. I was only grateful that he and I were alive and together. That's all that mattered to me.

"That night, I left to send a message, and when I came back, you were gone," He began to explain what led to all this, and I had never felt so guilty.

He never truly left me, but that's what I thought. Now, look at us. Just the look in his eyes showed that it was the truth, and I couldn't believe it.

"I'm such a fool," Crying again, I began to blame myself. This all could've been prevented if I had just waited a while longer, "I'm so sorry, Reiko-"

"There's nothing to be sorry for," He huffed, looking to see that we were on a massive hilltop, his resiliency astonishing considering he carried me all this way while wounded, taking his words in sincerely, "I've made mistakes, and you almost died for me because of it."

"No, Reiko-" I truly felt that this was all my fault, but his following words kept me silent:

"Mileena showed her true colors, and she may have made me bleed, but I kept my word. She will never suppress us again."

Standing still for a deep breath, the sun shone down on us, tears beading down my face as he looked up to the sky, not a single fear in his eyes, no more bad thoughts, if anything, happiness, smiling softly at the sky:

"Everything happens for a reason. So, don't worry anymore. We're free from the chains that shackled us, love."

The heart wants what it wants, and mine only wanted Reiko. After these two horrific days, after everything that happened, I finally reached clarity.

Using all my strength and ignoring the pain, I hugged his head as tight as I could, letting him know:

"I'll never leave your side again, Reiko."

"As I will never leave yours," Nuzzling his head against mine, he kissed my cheek, assuring me, "Just be patient a while longer. I am going to take care of you, I swear."

"How can I worry," This time, my tears were filled with joy, caressing the cut on his cheek as he smiled at my words, "When I'm in the arms of the realm's strongest solider?"

Reiko

He hadn't even met you yet and already he was interested. There is no doubt about it, he is a madman.

He'd come to you no doubt to get your aid in General Shao's ongoing campaign against the royal family. Shao had just gave a brief description of you and Reiko was almost instantly obsessed.

He would jump off the ship and swim to you before you even knew of their presence and could start singing. So the sight of him was confusing as much as it was beguiling.

He almost didn't want to bring you back to Shao. He wanted to keep you all to himself. Finally he would relent and brig back to his leader. To his luck, Shao assigned the both of you to work together.

He'd steal as many moments away as with you as he could. He refused to share you with anyone. He'd be in a fury whenever he heard a single soul showing any interest. Perhaps they wouldn't even show up the next day.

If a single soul said a single bad thing about you he'd beat the ever loving shit out of them. Hell, he'd beat them to death if no one stopped him.

He tells you how much he loves you every day. If given the chance, he'd show his love by sending gifts, odd things he knew you loved, or even dismembered limbs for you to feed off of. He would also show his love for you in... other ways, if he had enough time.

You are the only reason he even would show Liu Kang any bit of praise. He begrudgingly thankful to him for creating you.

The realms shudder at your joining hands with him. Your union is one of the deadliest ones in the realms. Both Shao and Liu Kang would worry about you two and how much of a threat you were slowly becoming.

Rain

While one the run from Empress Mileena, Rain came across you as he traveled the seas. Or you came across him to be precise. At the sound of your call, Rain came to you unable to control himself. Much to your surprise, when Rain finally came to you he wasn't terrified at all, instead he was in awe. You were the most magnificent thing he had ever seen in his life.

So you let him live, you went with him, you have not parted with each other since.

Rain did everything he could to impress you, your perception of him seemed to matter to him most of all. He'd do every trick he knew of to amuse you. Your smile, your laugh was intoxicating to him.

To others, you were a horrid monster, to him, you were a beautiful mermaid, his muse. You inspired him in so many ways he'd be here for countless hours to name them all.

But as much as his interest in this relationship was about you, it was him. He loves you, but he also sees you as the perfect person to help him expand his skills and mastery. He'd want you to teach him everything you knew. His hunger for power sometimes eclipsed his interest in you.

But even then, he'd never want to betray you. The idea of not only betraying but leaving you is something so painful that he'd refuse yo imagine it. He already betrayed his Kingdom, he has lost everything. He can't lose you.

Havik

You two had met when he was working with Rain to overthrow Seido, you were trying to lure him to his death, the usual. But this time was different, he wasn't going to because he was under your influence, he was doing this under his own fruition. You amaze him, a creature who is both beauty and beast. He had to have you.

The sight and realization that his chaotic nature subsides your control, as well as the fake that he's crazy enough to willingly approach you, it amuses you.

You both had a chaotic nature within you both, so you have an instant connection. His love for you is so great, he can't get enough of you.

Like Reiko, he sends you gift after gift. Keep in mind that these would be no normal gifts. They include but not limited to oddities, cursed artifacts, dismembered limbs (if he was feeling frisky, he'd send certain ones over others).

The things you'd do together are as insane as you'd imagine. You would lure people into your trap and he would torture them in whatever sadistic way you'd like.

Other times you'd do the most disturbing things to each other just for fun. Things so vile that it would make Shinnok sick. But you don't care you love doing these things together. You love being together, and all the realms shudder at the very thought of your union.

Bi-Han

The very concept of you fascinates him. Everything about you amazes him, your beauty, your voice, your willingness to kill. Though he won't admit it, he's been obsessed with you ever since he first met you.

But how did you first meet? Ah yes, when you tried to lure him and some of his Lin Kuei to their deaths while they were at sea. He wasn't affected though, his iron-will protected him from your lull. But he couldn't get you off his mind from that point on, he had to get you by his side no matter the cost.

You were intrigued by him also, the way he resisted you. It brought you to him, ironically.

You two have been inseparable ever since. Together you formed an alliance so deadly that all the realms shuddered at your union.

Whenever you went away or weren't by his side, he felt alone and miserable. He couldn't live without you, he refuses to admit it but he does.

When you were together he'd insist that it was just you and him, no one was allowed to be present unless necessary. He wanted you all to himself.

Even though you were with Bi-Han, that didn't stop from continuing your habits. You'd still lure men to their deaths or worse, even if those men were Lin Kuei. But this didn't anger Bi-Han for you could do no wrong in his eyes. In fact, this makes him jealous. Is he not enough to satisfy you? What is so good about them that you prefer over him? Is what he thinks to himself.

He will never say to you, but he adores you and he'd never leave you alone, no matter what you do.

You frowned, quickly looking to him for an explanation.
