A Miracle at Monster High (A Monster Mirabel Story Idea)

Here's another Encanto crossover idea for anyone to consider, it goes a little something like this.

Mirabel, seeing her magical family take a picture without her only confirms that she has no place in the Amazing Madrigals perfect image. So, she does what she thinks is best, packs her things and leaves while everyone else is celebrating in Antonio's new room (failing to see the cracks along casita). Mirabel, finally reaching the mountains that protect Encanto is suddenly attacked, and bitten, by a wild jaguar. the Miracle sensing Mirabel in danger makes a last-ditch effort to save her, and magically teleports her out of Encanto. Mirabel then wakes up in front of a massive, and somewhat creepy looking building. she also notices she looks completely different. she has fuzzy cat-like ears, a tail and is covered in spotted fur, like a jaguar. She is then approached by Miss Bloodgood who explains to her that she is in Monster High, a school for all sorts of monsters. She offers Mirabel a place to stay in one of the new dorms and allows her to enroll in Monster High, which she happily accepts. Mirabel then proceeds to make friends with Frankie and the ghoul squad while learning to embrace her new life as a monster. Meanwhile in Encanto things start to go downhill. Turns out saving Mirabel caused the magic to weaken and the madrigals are falling apart trying to find Mirabel. As Alma tries to make everyone forget about Mirabel and get back to their duties to the community (kind of like what they did with Bruno) Bruno suddenly appears, finally having had enough of Alma's treatment of everyone. In a burst of courage and anger he calls out Alma for running the family into the ground with her ridiculous expectations and how he hid in the walls of casita for ten years thinking the family would be better without him but then finding out it didn't. He then says how he had one more vision after Mirabel left and found out that she will have a better life away from the people she once called family and that they only have themselves to blame (leaving out the part that she became a literal monster). That outburst from Bruno causes Casita to collapse and the miracle to break, leaving the madrigals to pick up the pieces of their broken family. Will Mirabel ever see her family again? Will the magic ever return to the Madrigals? Will the Madrigals ever accept Mirabel's new form? What will the ghoul squad think of all this? Guess we will have to wait for someone to write this story and find out.

Monster High is about embracing what makes us different and celebrating our "Freaky Flaws" as they say. And I think Mirabel is the perfect example of this, being the only one born without magic in a magical family. Plus, whenever I hear this Monster High song, I immediately think of Mirabel.

This time it's a H2O au. [The story only borrows the logic of the mermaids of the series.]

So, yeah. As usual, Mirabel runs away (I don't write any other type of Encanto fics), but this time she turns into a mermaid. One from the H2O series.

This story takes place in the early 2000's before anyone has something to say about Mirabel's outfit.

Mirabel circus au

Mirabek ran away when she was ten and was found by the circus. They took her in and taught her the trapeze. She becomes best friends with the ring master and one day they play at a place called encanto. The madrigals decide to go aswell and when they see her their shocked.

mfs was flabbergasted when they say Mirabel doing flips and whatnot in the air, with other people flying around 😭😭 I'm pretty sure Mirabel would remember the Encanto, cause its only 5 years and she was 10. Absolutely terrified to go back but she sucks it up and goes. Probably gets confronted and that's another can of worms.

Bonus if Mirabel didn't wanna be lonely so she snatched up Cami lo and was like your coming with me. Idk, I just thought that cause trapeze artists typically usually work in pairs or sometimes trios.

Request: Mirabel decides to run away and Bruno comes out the walls to go with her to "protect" her (we all know Mirabel is the fighter in this duo). They settle into a new village and are going by a new last name. The family doesn't realize she is gone for three whole days (say Antonio is busy getting used to his gift and helping the community).

Meet The Diaz family!

Mirabel wiped the tears from her eyes. Abuela had implied not only that she was lying or imagining, but that she was drunk as well. Her mom tried to help.

She decided to write a letter for Antonio. She decided she’d leave it in his toy basket.

She didn’t have a choice, did she? She never stood a chance. “I’m sorry Casita. I just… I can’t stay here.” The tiles around her jingled as she and Casita packed her things.

Her sewing kit, two spare outfits, some fabric was folded neatly into a bag. In the bag, she added in some of her creations as well.

Casita helped her down to the kitchen where in her mochila, they gathered some extra arepas and one of their knives.

“Goodbye Casita.” She says as she walks out the door, unaware of a pair of eyes following her.

Mirabel had made it to the base of the mountain when she heard rustle of the leaves behind her.

“Hey! Mirabel! Wai-!” Her fist made contact as she swung around in fright. The person falling down in pain. “Holy-!!”

“I’m so sorry! I just there was the leaves and I don’t know you and I am so so sorry!” She cried out as she knelt beside him, pulling out one of the arepas she brought.

“It’s okay, I scared you.” He muffles out, holding his nose with one hand. He takes and eat the arepa. His nose healing and hand moving away.

No way. It’s her uncle.

“Bruno?”

After a brief reacquainting, Mirabel finds her self with an extra set of hands as they make their way out of the Encanto. Bruno tells her why he left. Why he followed her as well.

She doesn’t know how to feel about it. There’s a vision with her on it. One that keeps changing. She sighs as she asks her Tío about his ratnovelas.

At least she won’t be alone.

They make it out and it takes a while but they finally find another village. She sells a couple of the outfits she’s made and makes enough to get them a place to sleep for the night.

Her uncle gives the innkeeper a fake family name. Diaz, he says.

“Out here we’re not Madrigals anymore.” Bruno tells her as an explanation. The room is small and cramped but there’s a window, a bathroom, and a chair. He tells her to take the bed.

They make a plan to ration the arepas until they can get a steady income.

“Goodnight Mirabel.”

“… Night Tío.”

Bruno and her both set out to get jobs the next day.

Mirabel is able to sell more of her creations when she happens upon a seamster. The man compliments her work and asks who trained her.

She tells the truth. She’s taught herself and the man tells her to meet him tomorrow at his shop.

Tells her, he’s always got a spot for people with talent.

She’s happy when she tells her uncle and is surprised when he’s happy for her too.

He surprises her again with a present.

“I did a couple visions for people. And on my way back, well, uh…. You like making things right?” He says as he hands over some more fabric. “I know we need to save some money but it was cheap, I swear! And I just…” She hugs him and buries her face in his ruana. He tentatively hugs her back.

Antonio is exhausted. He didn’t realize the animals and villagers had so many disputes. And the past couple of days Abuela had him stay by her and Isabela.

Isabella and Mariano got engaged and Dolores seemed really sad. And even worse, he hasn’t been able to see Mirabel at all. And every meal time when he asks, everyone says she’s probably just sewing.

Which seemed weird since Mirabel always made sure the table was set and was present for every meal before.

He decided to play with some of the toys she made him when he found it. Reading through it, tears welled up. Mirabel had left.

Gripping the letter tightly, he sobbed as he ran to his mom.

As the days turned into weeks, Mirabel got a job as an apprentice seamstress. Bruno, however, was made to stop giving visions when she found out how much they hurt.

Lately, he’s been acting out his ratnovelas and writing them down. The rats all wear outfits she’s made and people have been adoring them.

“Welcom home sobrina!” Mirabel hears as she walks in. “Might not be as good as your mom’s but I made arepas!” Mirabel grins. This was so much better then at encanto.

“Sounds great, Tío!”

Context: “Memory of Loss” post!

*Isabeau was back at the Favor Tree…

*Hunched over on Dormont's ground.

*He feels like he wants to throw up…

*…

*He stands up and slowly walked to towards it, crossing his arms.

*Just a few moments later, Oldie came rushing to the foot of the tree and yelled.

Odile: LOOP. OUT. NOW.

*Isabeau grip tightened at the side of his shoulders.

Isabeau: We just want to talk... Please?

*There was a pause for a moment, and then a bright light under the tree. Loop wasn't looking at them, instead choosing to floor.

Loop: I told you that something bad would happen if you did that...

Odile: No, something bad happening would just have the King kill us. What happened in that loop was MUCH worse...

Loop: Then why are you yelling at me!? It's not my fault! I didn't know that king would kill them!

*Isabeau flinched at that line. Odile pressed in the middle of her temple, trying her best to keep her boiling anger aside.

Odile: But you told us that you would know what would happen in these loops, suddenly you didn't think of the possibility that something could happen to Bonniface?

Loop: I thought that it would be DIFFERENT! That YOU would be smart enough to make sure that wouldn't happen to them! That you do the SMART thing and let the Traveler be the one to-

*Isabeau snapped. He groaned at Loop, startling Odile and Loop.

Isabeau: Change, Is that LITERALLY all you can say? "Aw" That sucks! Maybe if Siffrin was the one who did this, blah blah blah blah blah-!" Like, that wouldn't change anything! We would be just as upset if it was Siffrin!

*Loop clenches their fist, but he didn't care.

Isabeau: Look, I get it. You seem to have some irrational hatred towards Sif. Let's agree to disagree, but that gives you no right to badmouth him or joke about him to us! He is our friend!Besides, he couldn't have known that would-

Loop: Yes he should have.

Isabeau: Hey, I wasn't finished-!

Loop: WELL, YOU DON'T GET TO FINISH!

*Loop jumps off the Favor Tree, and run straight up to Isabeau. Wow, they're a lot smaller than he expected.

Loop: YOU DON'T GET TO LECTURE ME ABOUT HOW I TALK ABOUT THE TRAVELER! IRRATIONAL HATRED? HA! IF YOU KNEW WHAT I KNEW, I BET YOU-!

Mirabelle: Guys!

*Everyone turned to see both Mirabelle and Bonnie staring at them. Mirabelle was holding Bonnie's sunhat for them.

*Bonnie slowly walks up to Loop, who anger seemingly dissipates when the sight of them.

Bonnie: Please... Please don't be mad at Frin... It was my idea to have him talk to the king. I tripped while trying to runaway. If anything, I'm the one that messed it all up..

Isabeau: Bonnie...

* Surprisingly, Loop knees down to Bonnie and gently holds their tiny hands.

Loop: No, No... It's no one's fault. Not you or your Traveler's... It just... Brought up some unpleasant old memories... It's a me problem, don't worry.

*It was silent for a while... The Loop spoke.

Loop: [Congrats, Everyone! You got "Memory of Loss"! Unfortunately, you will never forget this! With this memory, your Traveler will be able to read books from their country! Oh, but be careful! It's best if we leave the past behind. You won't want to worry your forgetful little friend, now would we?]

* Loop pauses for a moment, and looks Bonnie in their eyes.

Loop:.. I'm sorry, Bonnie...

*Just like that, Loop stands up and goes back to the Favor Tree. The others slowly go back to the Clock Tower.

*Isa was thinking about Loop still, weirdly about how short they were! He guessed he never really considered it, since Loop always at sat in the Favor Tree. And just now, they said Bonnie's name after almost never saying any of theirs.

*And their eye's!

*They.

*Were.

*Just.

*Like.

*...

* Maybe…

Mirabelle - not chosen in this au, just a wanderer who liked the style and is a strong believer (but how can she be, when she doesn't really change, when she's disconnected from anybody? How can they change when they're nobody?)

Siffrin - still washes up young and travels, but instead of polishing their rogue skills, he polished up the remaining knowledge of the stars he still had and pursued that instead. Nobody believes in his chosen research path- who would research the stars, they're just up there!- so there's a bet going on with Bonnie and Odile as to what he's really studying.

Pyxis - A fighter for hire who found a tired Bonnie as they ran away from the House and immediately took on a non-paying job of keeping them safe. They seem strangely confused by some events, but also strangely knowledgable... their Body Craft secrets are also tightly locked up! Either way, they are fiercely protective. (Are they attached to versions of people that truly aren't theirs? What is happening in this world...)

The Babies. Odile is a runaway from Ka Bue for reasons she won't say and Boniface is a runaway from the House of Dormont when the King took over. They have a rivalry relationship, but everyone agrees to keep them safe. (Bonnie was blessed to be safe by whoever is at the top... so they insist on fighting. Pyxis seems very resistant to the idea, but being immune to time freezing and also rock type has come in handy before...)

Baby odile, meanwhile, refuses to fight because she's young, even though she's still older than Bonnie.

This is a very balanced party (all of the adults are scissors type.)

Mirabel's Two-Minute Notice

This is what I like to call an "Encanto Song Parody Challenge"

Ok, so I'm not really a fan of Madrigal Family Bashing. But I discovered this song one day and immediately thought, this would be perfect as an Encanto Song. the song is called "Two-Minute Notice" from the indie YouTube series Helluva Boss on Vivziepop. If you want to listen to it see the link below to watch the official video. Fair warning there is a lot of swearing and some sexual themes in the song, but other than that it is awesome. So, my challenge goes like this.

-Mirabel being sick and tired of how her so called family (minus Antonio) has been treating her over the years, decides to leave Encanto and never look back. But before she does that, she decides to say goodbye for good while also telling off the Madrigals (mostly Alma) for how terribly they've treated her over the years-

Circus au (I might make a story)

Mirabel looked to the family down below. She looked to antonio and smiled, she swung down and pulled him up. Instead of screaming he stared amazed as his older cousin flipped through the air and landed on the platform with him being held in the air. "AGAIN! AGAIN!" He cheered. Mirabel chuckled and grabbed the bar. She swung and let go, the family was about to yelled when her teammates threw a net and caught them. "We'll leave for a bit" Sam said putting a hand on mirabels shoulder. "No you all need more practice, we can talk in the back" she said and led the family off. She was obviously tense, when they stopped she faced them. "What do you need?" Mirabel asked pretending not to know them and was failing. "W what happened!? Why did you go?" Pepa asked containing the cloud. Mirabel bit her cheek then licked her dry lips. "Whats happened in town" she asked changing the subject. "Good, but we all miss you" julieta said making the teenager infront of them scoff "no one missed me, I was on the outskirts for three days before leaving" she said making their faces go pale" w we didn't check there" agustín muttered. "Your my prima!" Antonio smiled "I know, I was there when you were born" she said and he stared shocked and his hair was even messier if possible. "Wanna come over for dinner?" Alma asked and she stared shock and worry spread across her face." Umm w were busy that night" she sajd" we didn't say when" isabella said as mirabel cursed herself mentally. "Please, one night that's all we wanna catch up" dolores said pleadingly. Antonio tapped mirabels hand, she looked and he used the puppy dog eyes. Camilo shifted to antonio and copied. Mirabel sighed"friday ok?" They smiled and agreed. "Well I'm gonna go, I'd say go before it gets late" mirabel suggested as julieta held herself back from hugging her. They left as mirabel went towards a wagon. She climbed in and got an apple. She took a bite before climbing onto the hammock and falling asleep.

Nice to see she still has a pretty good relationship with Antonio and Camilo. Not like they did anything wrong. Also her trying to deflect 😭😭 fr played herself ☠️

This… new life, essentially, had become so dear, possibly way to fast.

But how could it not? No visions, no pressure from his mother, no hate or distrust and fear from the villagers? A niece that loves him? How could Bruno ever dislike it.

With Mirabel quickly gaining traction as a seamstress and Bruno’s own plays gathering attention, they decided they couldn’t stay at the inn forever.

It had taken them a couple months but eventually Mirabel and Bruno had saved up enough that they could afford an actual place to live. So they went looking and found a small, affordable, little house.

Bruno won’t lie, going from living in Casita to a normal place is a huge change- but one he couldn’t be happier to have made. The house was small sure, but it was perfect.

“And most importantly, Tío! It’s ours!” His niece had told him when they moved in. And now, looking at the walls filled with trinkets and covers for his plays or the photos and fabric messes that had yet to be cleaned from his nieces most recent creative spike. It was. It was their home, his home.

He hummed happily as he worked on his next play. The little old ladies that originally were the only ones who saw them asked about a new ratnovela.

So it’s not surprising that when he went to the meeting and they were talking about how a person was going around looking for someone named Madrigal, he nearly choked.

Bruno excused himself from the group far earlier, saying he wanted to get his niece something for working so hard. They all nodded and as he left he tried to ignore the knowing look in Widowed Delores, who he knew was older than even his own mother.

He had to tell Mirabel and warn her.

Louisa couldn’t handle it. Everything was so different and everyone was staring at her. When she helped a man up and fixed his cart they all looked at her different and she couldn’t understand why.

But she had a job to do. She was gonna find her little sister.

“Please, her name’s Mirabel Madrigal, have you seen her?” She had asked and asked and asked with no luck.

Her hermanita had disappeared and no one knew where she went. They hadn’t even noticed for days! That was when Louisa realized that her family might not be as great as everyone in Encanto had said.

For it to have driven not one but two of their own out, they couldn’t be great- hardly even good in her opinion.

Louisa had been traveling for a while now when she stumbled into a village that boasted about their theatre and seamsters. She helped out an inn owner and he said she could stay for a night free. She had thanked him.

She went up and delicately moved around before sitting on the bed to eat some of the food her mother packed her.

Soon after she fell asleep.

When morning came, Louisa ate and immediately set out to work- after she thanked the owner again.

“Again, I would not have been able to get my cart back without a horse. Thank you.” And those words made her feel fuzzy.

None of the villagers in Encanto has thanked her as sincerely in years. She wants to cry.

She doesn’t.

But she does ask around.

It’s near midday when she spots a boutique. Maybe it’s the fact that Mirabel loved- loves- sewing, but she walked in.

Her heart stops.

“Hello! Welcome to Cloth Dreams how may I- LOUISA?”
