"In Norse mythology, Hati (Old Norse meaning "He Who Hates, Enemy") is a warg, wolf that chases the Moon across the sky and Sköll (Old Norse meaning "Treachery") is the wolf that chases the Sun across the sky, until the time of Ragnarök when they will swallow these heavenly bodies, after which Fenrir will break free from his bonds and kill Odin."

"Fenrir, the monster of the river Ván, is a monstrous wolf of Norse Mythology. The gods raised Fenrir themselves, but upon realizing they could not hold control over him, they bound him with chains forged by dwarves, the strongest ever built. The chain was tied to a giant boulder and a sword placed in his mouth, which the river Ván, or ‘Expectation’ flowed. Fenrir is the father of the wolves Sköll and Hati, a son of Loki, and is foretold to kill the god Odin during the events of Ragnarök.”

Big thank you to @boiiko who i had a nice chat with and recommended Paul Foxton's lovely blog which i found really helpful, and after months of struggling I found myself enjoying painting this nice flower.

Also while editing the scan (in Clip Studio Paint) i found an interesting option; Gradient map, which makes a nice variants.

Week 7 | Monday workshops Mark Making using Draping with Tutor Slyvia Shorthall

First workshop of the day. Sylvia took the time to first set up our easels and talked us through good practice for future use.

Working on a waxy type paper called ' Glaseen' we drew with a black sharpie but at a right angle to the easel so we could not look at the paper while drawing.

I could have spent all day in this workshop, I enjoyed the fluidness of painting with Indian ink and a bamboo stick. I'm happy with the outcome and the experience of working on large sheets of paper was interesting to me allowing me to move around my space at times. I probably needed to take more moments to stand away from the piece to gain newer perspective.
