I want you to imagine, for a brief second, that some upstart brand wanted to overtake Heinz Ketchup.

To do this they decide they’re going to launch a smear campaign against Heinz where they “prove” that Heinz ketchup is actually poison. They do this by abusing the neurodivergent children of people who essentially already believe that ketchup is poisonous.

The idea of this was to then go, “So that’s why you should eat OUR non-poison ketchup! =D” but the media reporting on their campaign needs a headline and “Ketchup is Poison” sells papers. Now next thing you know what was a small group of people is now a full on movement of thousands of people who believe that Ketchup is poison.

This upstart brand is trying desperately to go, “Nonononono we mean this ONE ketchup is poison! You should TOTALLY BUY our ketchup!” But nobody wants to listen.

Next thing you know, some guy has gone down this rabbit hole and basically put together that this was all just a fraud to sell ketchup that backfired HORRIBLY. They make a documentary exposing the ketchup brand as being fucking terrible. The ketchup brand goes bankrupt and is disgraced.

Nevertheless the ball is rolling and more people by the day continue to think Ketchup is poison.

For those who don’t know what I’ve described is the founding of the modern antivax movement and I will NEVER GET OVER THAT.

By the way just so everyone knows, companies buy back their own stock to essentially remove it from the market (burn it) to increase the value of their other stocks so that shareholders (rich people) can be wealthier. This adds nothing of value to the economy or to the company itself, it is literally just a way of pleasing the wealthy.

It used to be illegal in America until the 1980s. Because companies would use it as a technique of artificially inflating the value of their stocks. Which is essentially what they do now. Companies spend billions on their own stocks. Billions that could have been spent improving their products, paying their employees more, adding benefits, lowering costs for consumers.

Love the idea that Red Robin (the restaurant) doesn't exist in the DC universe, but *does* exist in the Pham's home universe.

Just a constant ongoing thing of someone saying Tim's hero name and whatever member(s) of the Pham are there say "Yum" without hesitation.

Everyone in the DC verse thinking that Tim - as Red Robin specifically - is some kind of Adonis to folks on the Ghost/Liminal Spectrum.

It's causing problems. Members of his family that are romantically interested in Pham members are salty. Bruce keeps trying to give him The Talk (the "how to let a group of people all interested in fucking you down gently and professionally" talk, and the "how to form a healthy polycule" talk, Bruce is nothing but thorough). The Younge Justice crew will *not* let him live it down. Dick is going all protective big brother on him, saying that if it makes him uncomfortable just let Dick know and he'll Take Care of It.

He's also deeply confused as to why they all sorta *sing* his hero name before they say Yum?? Is it some kind of call and response ghostly courting thing??

The Pham, notably, are entirely unaware of the chaos they are causing with this. For a long time they don't even know Red Robin (the restaurant) doesn't exist in this universe. They aren't even fully aware that they're doing the Yum thing. It's just too ingrained in them to fully realize it.
